Mi marido tiene más familia Monday 11/5/18 Capitulo 43 I'll Have What Tulio is Having--OR-- The "Happy" Birthday Continues

Polita tells Axel that he is not throwing out their son.  Audifaz tells her that nobody will tell him how to handle his son.

Robert scolds Dave for talking to his mother like he did. Julieta is in tears. She just wanted a birthday party for her son. Robert sends Dave to Imelda's room. Robert calls Audifaz on his violent attitude. He is only getting involved because he does not want to see his family split up more than it is.  Catalina insists that the building needs a cleansing. Ari refuses to remove his earring. Audifaz storms off. Pancho says Ari can stay with them.

Gabriel is with his sisters in the midst of what looks like an intervention. They are out in a park walking together. He just wants to go home and sleep but they won't let him. They take him to the mausoleum to visit their mother. Gabriel talks to her and wants her to be proud of him.

Robert and Julieta talks with Dave. Where did he get this idea that Julieta was lying to him? His mother told him so. Robert tells him they didn't say anything to him because they don't know the truth. Dave says his birthday wish is to met his REAL dad.

The family gathers around Ari.  Polita begs Ari to take out the earring. Ari informs her that is not happening. Susana supports Ari. Imelda criticizes her for getting involved and tells her she better get her mother out of the building. Susana tells her she cannot convince her mother to do what she doesn't want to do. Tulio is just more concerned about getting a drink and he brought his own this time.

Blanca and Catalina walk in on Axel and Linda in the kitchen as he tries to steal a kiss and ask her out for later that evening. Blanca is sure her father and grandmother will not want to hear about what she just saw. They both play stupid. Linda cannot even stand him . . . Later, Blanca talks with Daniela about her relationship. It is the worst time of Daniela's life. Blanca is always there to support her.

Julieta blames Yela for telling  Dave that she knew where his REAL father was. Yela says Dave was pressuring her and it just "slipped out ". . . but apologizes. Robert says they have recognized her as Dave's birth mother but she needs to clear anything she wants to tell him with them first and not go behind their backs. They want to be sure she doesn't pull something like that again.

Dave blows out the candles on the cake Blanca made for him. Sebas pushes his whole face into the cake as he tries to get  a bite.  In retaliation,  Dave smears Sebas' face with some cake. Everyone laughs. Everyone wants cake.

Frida and Lupita are texting with Camilo who wants to secretly meet with them tomorrow. They need to find a way they can get out.

Audi and Polita are still arguing about Ari and his earring. Audifaz insists he is doing what he is doing because he loves Ari and doesn't want him to stray from the path.. Polita wonders what happened to her Audi the "rocker" from the old days. He says he is finding a new way in the world.  His son has to follow the rules.

The party has come to an end. Pancho and his kids are the first to go. Imelda misses Ari. Susana is going, too, and apologizes for her mother on the way out. Catalina tells Susana she is going to work on her skills all weekend so she gets the job. Susana tells her the competition will be stiff but if she has all of the requirements, she will give her a chance. Blanca "encourages" Yela o leave. Before she goes, Dave tells Yela to let him know if she hears anything about his REAL dad.

When everybody has left,  Blanca asks Dave if he had a good birthday. He abruptly gets up and leaves the room. Blanca tell Julieta and Robert not to take it personally because the family is going through a rough time. The important thing is that they are together to solve their problems. Robert and Julieta want to continue the party at home and when they finally talk a glum Dave to watch a movie with them, he complains about watching the same old movie again. He starts to throw a tantrum. They ask him to quiet down so he doesn't wake up Blanquita. Well, that is it for him.  It just isn't fair. They always think  about her and not him. They love her more than him because she is their REAL daughter. Robert and Julieta try to explain to him that there is no difference in the love they have for him and Blanquita. Dave continues that he didn't get  the ONE thing he asked for for his birthday.  He still won't even look at Julieta. Why is he not looking at her? He isn't looking at her because she isn't HIS MOTHER. Robert tells him again that he can't talk like that to his mother and that he has to respect her. Dave starts to cry saying what he said is the truth. He didn't grow up with her.  Robert reminds him he was adopted, too. Mothers are not just the ones that bring you into the world but are the women who take care of you, and love you every single day of your life. That is love. That is family.  Julieta asks Robert to stop. No, he won't because Dave is eight years old and is mature for his age  because he has been through so much. He has to understand the consequences of his actions. Yes, Dave understands how he hurt Julieta. Robert tells Dave they adopted him when his birth mom couldn't take care of him. Robert asks why Dave suddenly has this need to meet his REAL dad. It hurts Robert when he says "REAL" dad. Dave says he is curious. Julieta says they can talk tomorrow. Robert makes sure Dave sincerely apologizes to Julieta. He does and gives her a hug.  Catalina arrives with Dave's birthday gift: a Scrabble game. Julieta and Dave  play. Dave spells out: perdón and asks Julieta if he will forgive her. Yes, she will. They hug.

Pancho and Susana have arrived at Enzo's dance class and they chat during class. When class is over, Pancho talks Enzo into letting them stay by themselves at his facility and practice dancing together all alone.  Pancho tells her to feel the music and not try to define it. They have a fun time.  They almost kiss.  She pulls a muscle so the dancing is over.  She tells Pancho about the model ship.  He likes ships. Susana says it reminds her of her dad.  They almost kiss again. Susana says they will need another dance class because they never talked about the guilt he feels over Rebeca.

Daniela is working  in the basement apartment at her parents' house and remembers all of her moments with Gabriel and how happy she once was.  Later she cries in her bed.  At their place, Gabriel goes into her workshop at home and talks to the bear.

Ari is crying in Temo's room. Temo tells him he is there for him if he wants to talk. He can count on him.  Ari can sleep on the floor next to Temo's bed. He just sobs. Temo gets up for a glass of water and runs into  Crisanta at the table working on her war plans. They agree that it is a very complicated situation.   Temo says that he remembers when he first met Ari,  Ari told him his grandfather was dead.  Crisanta finds that very interesting.  Temo says he does not want to get involved and  that Ari must have meant that since his grandfather was not around it was as if he were dead.  Maybe he just didn't understand what Ari meant. It is clear that Crisanta now has something  new to think about.

Linda has snuck out to go on a motorcycle ride with Axel. They stop at a park and he tries to kiss her. She shoves him away. She doesn't believe in love. That sounds just perfect for him. Love does not exist and he is not looking for anything serious. Linda agrees but only if she can make up the rules on how this is going to go. She kisses him.  She has the longest kiss of her short life but then has had enough. They talk.  Axel says they like each other a lot.  She is different from all of the others.  She is driving him crazy.  As for Linda, things are more complicated.  First,  is the fact that they are cousins.  Second,  is her track record. She followed a guy to Europe and got dumped. Axel tells her not to make it so complicated and to keep it light  like "cousins with benefits". They are only half-cousins.
Linda gives him the rules: the will not be novios, they will not lie to each other, no kisses in front of their families.

Eugenio is in pain on the bed. Blanca reminds him he has to go to physical therapy. She puts a hot pack in the microwave to heat it up.  Eugenio tells Blanca her company is the best medicine.  He also wonders if Axel is the best choice for therapy with all that is going on with the family. Blanca starts listing their problems: Robert and Julieta with Dave's behavior, Daniela and Gabriel separated .  She just wants to protect her children from suffering but doesn't know how. Blanca puts the hot pack on Eugenio and he complains that it is too hot and then  complains he can't move. Blanca asks him if he needs a tow truck.

Polita is still crying. Audifaz asks if she is coming to bed. She just can't sop thinking about Ari. Audifaz says that Ari was looking for it. She just doesn't understand. He asks if she does not think that he is also upset.  He insists that sometimes you have to take drastic measures to make sure your children don't get derailed.  Polita stays by herself at the table.

Ari is snoring on the floor. Temo looks at him and wonders if Ari feels the same way about him as he feels about Ari.  Could there ever be a "we" for them.  Pancho opens the door to make sure that Temo is okay. Temo tells him he never could take it if Pancho were to treat him like Audifaz treated Ari or if Pancho were to throw him out of the house. Pancho says he would never do that.  If Temo ever wants an earring, a tattoo, etc., just come and see him first.  Pancho is his father and friend.

Robert and Julieta are in bed. He tries to calm her down. She just wants him to hold her. He tells her everything will be all right.  She hopes so but wonders why everything is always so complicated.  It is as if they can never have just one day of peace.

Hands down Susana and Pablo had the best evening out of any of them. They were so cute dancing together.

More tomorrow.

Jarifa great job! I agree that the scene with Pancho and Susana were really cute. It was good to see her having so much fun and loosen up.

I'm just going to do a quick PSA right now. Audi says he is taking a different road right now but he sure is acting differently with his personality changes. To me, that is a sign of a mind control cult, full of rules and very harsh and unmerciful. I was a member of a cult when I was younger, my mother got us into it. Anyway, I was asked to be on Leah Remini's show, Scientology, The Aftermath--but this 2 hour special is on the Jehovah's Witnesses. This is the cult that I was a member of for a few years, but I got out long ago. I still remember my mother throwing me out and telling me I was like a dog going back to the vomit. She wanted nothing to do with me for many years and never knew her grandchildren.

Next Tuesday, November 13, 2018, if you would like to see the episode that I'm a part of, please tune into the A&E network. In the Los Angeles area, it will be on at 6:00 p.m., but check your local listings. It was fun meeting Leah Remini and Mike Rinder. In fact, I got messages on Twitter that they are now following me.

Thanks, Cynthia, for letting us know about your appearance on Leah Remini’s show. I will be watching for sure!

Interesting comment about Audifaz being influenced by a mind control cult. That would make sense since his attending that church is the only thing that has changed that we know of since his personality change. They also portrayed Audifaz at a particularly psychologically vulnerable time being unable to sell his book which would feed right into a plot line like that.

Favorite - the title, hands down. Jarifa, I can't wait to see what jewel you come up with every day. This was great!

Loved "Tulio is just more concerned about getting a drink and he brought his own this time" and "She has the longest kiss of her short life but then has had enough".

Hmmm. So have we? If either Axel or Linda were the least bit interesting, I could easily see being caught up in their rebel fantasy but as it is? Nopis.

"Mothers are not just the ones that bring you into the world but are the women who take care of you, and love you every single day of your life". For Dave to cause such obvious hurt in stoic Julieta's eyes is unbearable. I'm so sorry Yela came back and even sorrier she is poisoning Dave's mind. I remember that Dave's parents were so supportive of his finding his birth family. But they were secure in their adult son's love and willing to share as they know that belonging to someone means you let them be free. And of course, it was an entirely different situation as Dave was abducted but still this is terrible to watch. Dave is torn and confused and I'm unsettled as to how all this will be resolved.

Jarifa, I agree that Susana and Pancho were the one bright spot. Girl can move.

Poor Ari. I'd like to take Audi's pigtails and stuff them in his mouth.

I'm thinking Gabe's excellent adventure did not include a meeting with a psychologist. I doubt the bear has much sensible advice to dispense. Dani is another miserable child.

Cynthia, what a terrible ordeal you have been through. And yet you've persevered and become a strong, wonderful woman. You have my total respect.

Susana's dancing and your recap were the bright spots in all of this. Thank you Jarifa!

Diana

Thank you for your recap, Jarifa.

Cynthia - I will watch that episode. I watched the entire first season of Leah Remini's series because I learned so much about that group, then I read her book and one written by Jenna M. Hill, watched the movie/doc Going Clear, and learned even more. I'm glad you were able to get out of the JW, because I now know that it isn't as easy as we think.

Looks like Audi has gotten mixed up with a mind control cult disguised as a church. The lost soul that he is makes him a perfect candidate for one of those groups. Another PSA in this telenovela.

"Tulio is just more concerned about getting a drink and he brought his own this time.". Oh yeah, no doubt now that Tulio definitely has a drinking problem. We can just add PSA for AA to the list and FFWD over his scenes.

Cynthia - I found the program and have it set to record.

Jarifa, NICE title and the recap was awesome.

I too enjoyed the dancing scene. Someone had commented previously about Susana's dancing abilities, and from the little I saw last night, yes, "girl can move" is spot on Diana. She is becoming one of my fav actresses.

Cynthia, unbelievable! For the past couple of days, I have been thinking about you telling us that you would be a participant in one of Leah's shows some time back on a previous patio...how coincidental is that! I'll be tuning in too...fer sure!

This Tn is getting depressing...I can't think of any of the characters that are truly happy...no bright spots! But that just increases the anticipation for the resolution of all these problems...and probably more to come.

I'm so glad you are enjoying Susana Rgv Chick! She is my hands down favorite. If you ever have the chance to catch any of her other TNs, I hope you do so. In Amores Verdaderos she went salsa dancing with "Salsero" portrayed by Francisco Gattorino. Great fun...

And yes, the reappearance of Yela and the damage she is creating in her wake is bad enough but seeing Julieta and Robert as well as Dani and Gabi so unhappy is just too much.

I think the actor playing Tulio has a good gig doris. Director "sit and look surly". OK. "put a drink in your hand". OK. Cut. Fin. :)

Diana

Linda and Axel...my fingers fly as I fast forward their scenes....YAWWWWN.

As always loved the title, and got the giggles over this:

Blanca puts the hot pack on Eugenio and he complains that it is too hot and then complains he can't move. Blanca asks him if he needs a tow truck.

Touché Blanca! Yessss, the problems are a bit too much right now. The writers are really piling it on. More dance scenes and almost kisses would be greatly appreciated folks.

Cynthia, I'll try to set up a recording for this as well. Looking forward to it.

Thanks Jarifa. Always great.

Title disclaimer: I usually have not been able to come up with any interesting titles so many times my recaps have been title-less. I just have had this fun run recently creating them. I do not know where it came from and am sure it will stop as abruptly as it began. I am glad you have enjoyed them. I am quite a reluctant writer (period.)

Cynthia, Pancho seems to be the perfect antidote to Susana's tense personality. I like them together.

Diana, "I'd like to take Audi's pigtails and stuff them i his mouth." You and me both.

doris, yes, AA will be added to the list. Tulio is rather a minor character so maybe it will be a minor subplot. I think every i malady and calamity will be touched upon somehow before the end of this.

RgvChick, with all of the serious subplots Susana and Pancho better have lots more dates like this one.

JudyB, I loved the "tow truck" comment, too.

Anon, the Linda and Axel scenes just reinforce how much I dislike both of the characters.

This show is beginning to remind me of "that friend we all have" who is constantly dwelling on a litany of complaints, problems, catastrophes and urgent, urgent disasters. I'm getting weary of all these setbacks and need to see more fun and more romance. Get going Susana and Pancho!

Jarifa, great recap, thank you very much especially as I haven't had a chance to see it yet. I thought it would be a race between watching the recorded show from last night and the airing of tonight's show, but it looks like Univision is doing election coverage, so I should have a chance.

In fact, I just got back from voting. It took forever as turnout has been huge. My polling site had six ballot scanning machines; four were already full and could not accept any more ballots. They have called New York City's eternally incompetent Board of Elections for more machines.

I hope they arrive in time or the villagers will be storming City Hall with pitchforks and torches       :-)

I really like this TN, but I have to agree with JudyB, it's time for "...more fun and more romance. Get going Susana and Pancho!"

I love seeing those two dancing together. It does my heart good to see Susana, a good-looking woman and excellent dancer, dancing away with a man who has two left feet.

:-)

Thanks, Jarifa. I missed this episode and I'm glad Dave made up with his mom by the end. Here, here! on your smashing title and recap. Tulio is alright with me.

Sounds like Tulio and Sebas were the only two (besides Pancho and Susana) making their own fun at the party. I've seen pictures of TN actors on the set getting their face smashed into a birthday cake (can't forget Yanez in Juan del Diablo outfit with frosting all over his face) and wondered if this is a tradition in Mexico or elsewhere in Latin America.

Cynthia, thanks for sharing your story with us. It's a blessing that you, along with Leah Remini, are able to help others.

Love the way all of you have slammed Axel and Linda. I'll take any PSA over this storyline. Yuck.

Andy, I third a “yes” to more fun and romance in the novela. I think this will go down as one of the most “educational” PSA novelas ever if they keep up this pace. Nothing has bothered me too much yet with so many story lines all going in at the same time.

Niecie, all I could think of was if I were at a family event like that it would either be a drink or the door. LOL

It is so nice to see Susana smiling, for a change, and the dance scene with Pancho was the best part of this capítulo. I really like their "theme" music when they are together. It reminds me of the main couple's theme music in Los Exitosos Gomez with Gianella Neyra and Diego Bertie. Is there a table on The Patio started for a Susana/Pancho pairing?

Well, there is now!

doris and Jarifa, I'm joining you at the table. The character of Pancho is a nice man but let's face it. In real life, I don't think he and Susana would be a typical match. I don't think he realizes how lucky he is. I think Susana could charm a rock.

Judy, too much realism here for me. Agree more romance is needed. I wouldn't blame Polita if she takes a hike - she might be the next to go (I personally vote to evit Audi but...)

Andy, I hope you were able to vote unscathed. My worry was trying to navigate a jam packed school parking lot with people milling about in the pitch black and pouring rain while paying absoutely no attention to the cars trying to squeeze in and out of spaces. Sigh.

Niecie, I was glad Sebas stirred things up a bit - I was grateful for the cake in the face diversion. I like the kid - not perfect and I don't like the way he treats his mother but their relationship seems to be improving.

Too bad there is no show tonight.

Diana
