Mi marido tiene más familia Wednesday 11/7/18 Capítulo 44 Frida and Julieta Discover that the Boogeyman is Real

Linda sneaks into the house after her date with Axel. Frida is still up and asks her if she will go with her to the fair tomorrow.  Linda says she will take her and they both jump for joy.  Frida texts with Camilo who says he will see her tomorrow.

Susana comes into her house quietly only to be met by Sebas demanding to know where she has been.  He woke up and she wasn't there. Axel was supposed to watch him but ended up going out. Susana says she is his mother and he is not a detective.  He interrogates her with  question after question.  She says she was at a dance class with some GIRLfriends.  She finally tells him to go to bed  and that he should be a lawyer when he grows up or maybe a spy.  When he is gone, Susana is still happy thinking about Pancho.

Blanca cannot go to the fair because she is giving English lessons to Catalina. Linda is going to take Frida. Daniela is in a funk and has work to do. Busy-body Imelda thinks that is good because she needs to talk to Daniela about her separation. Daniea does not look pleased.

Gabriel and Ari meet in Tavo's waiting area at is hospital office. They both say they are just there to talk.  They chat about psychological counseling and ways of paying for it. Catalina arrives next. She says psychologists must be the thing these days.  Tavo sees all three of them sitting there waiting for him and wonders if the hospital is offering a three for one special and nobody told him about it.  He has time for all three but suggests that next time they all make appointments.  Who will be first? They all stand up but Gabriel gets the call. Gabriel talks to Tavo. Tavo says he has taken a good first step. Now he needs an action plan.  Tavo says he will probably need antidepressants to get out of his depression so he will need to see a psychiatrist. Catalina is the next to talk  to Tavo.  Just when her life came crashing down all around her, another opportunity presented itself.  She wants to improve herself.  Tavo is excited for her.  Finally, it is Ari's turn. He tells Tavo about his father judging him.  He is upset that his father only seems to love him when he does what he orders him to do. Tavo doesn't think his father hates him. It is just a defense mechanism.

Audi goes to Pancho's to talk to his son and has to get past Crisanta first.  Audi goes in as she leaves yelling for  Ari. Pancho comes out and lets him know that Ari is not there and tells him how uncool it was for him to throw his son out of his house. Audi didn't ask for his advice but thanks him for the ONE night he gave his son a bed.  Temo listens to the conversation. Audi follows with a threat to get Pancho and his family kicked out of the apartment building.  Pancho wonders how if he paid a year's rent in advance and is a good neighbor.  Audi says a good neighbor does not stick his nose in other people's business. Pancho says Ari has the right to live his own life and asks if Audi remembers what it was like when how he was young. Audi asks Pancho to tell Ari to see him immediately when he returns.

Crisanta visits Eugenio, Catalina and Imelda. She is there to ask about Ari having said that Canuto  died many years ago.  Imelda looks guilty but says she has no idea where that idea came from.  Canuto abandoned them so it was "as if" he were dead.  Eugenio said they always kept waiting for him to come back. Blanca says it was a metaphor.  When Daniela comes in, Crisanta asks her if she thought her grandfather was dead.   After getting a head shake from the others, Dani brushes it off saying he was never there with them. Crisanta announces that she is on her way to a bubble bath and away from having to see their stupid faces. Imelda seems to have some other plans for Crisanta.  Crisanta is frozen out in her bubble bath. Crisanta remembers being told that the water was always nice and hot.  Crisanta knows who is responsible for this attack. That old lady will pay her back. She pays Imelda a visit. Imelda just laughs. Was she the one who turned off the hot water?  Could be,  maybe, who knows? Crisanta threatens her with the curse of the seven seas.   Imelda tells her to go because she has to get ready for her fashion show. Crisanta makes fun of her fashion show with her runway of mummies.  Imelda tells Blanca that it was worth it.  Maybe Crisanta will lend up leaving.

The Coopers, Linda, Frida and Lupita end up going to the fair together.  Frida gets a text from Camilo asking her and Lupita to meet him  at the  games.  Frida asks Robert if she and Lupita can go to play some  games.  Julieta has to go change Blanquita.  They decide the girls can go if Linda goes with them.  Linda is reminded to not let them out of her sight  and to meet back here in twenty minutes.   As the girls play one of the games,  Linda gets a text from Axel.  She tells the girls she is going to go get something to eat and to not move from where they are. She goes off to rendezvous with Axel.  A man has been watching the girls and approaches them. He knows their name.s He says he is Camilo's father.  He invites them to go meet Camilo at a restaurant.  The girls agree to go with him.  Camilo will be so happy to see them.

Twenty minutes have passed and Robert calls Linda but she is not answering. Julieta calls Linda but she is too busy flirting with Axel to pay the calls any attention.  In the meantime, the man is leading the girls farther away from the fair saying that Camilo and his mother are waiting for them  so they will have to go just a little bit farther.  Finally, Linda answers. Julieta asks if she is with the girls. Well, no, Linda says she had to go to the bathroom and left them at the games.  Julieta cannot believe it.  The girls are not there.  Linda gets upset and decides to rush right over. Axel stays behind so nobody will know he is there.  Linda is all apologetic but Julieta skips that and says the important thing is to find the girls. In the meantime, Pancho calls to see how things are going and Linda doesn't tell him what is going on. Robert asks the carnival workers if someone saw the two girls. One says he saw them leaving with a large strong man. Robert tries to call Frida but she is not picking up. The girls suddenly tell the man that they want to go back because they are going very far from the fair. The man says he will grab  a taxi for them and they will get back quicker that way.  They are about to be dragged into a taxi when Robert appears and tackles the man.  The man admits he is "Camilo" and he sent the girls  the sunglasses. Frida is shocked that "Camilo" does not exist.  The man has photos of the girls on pamphlets.  He says he  just wanted them to advertise his sunglasses that he is selling. Robert is not buying that. Julieta calls him a pig.  The man screams it is  just one big mistake. The police arrive on the scene.

Susana agrees to go to the market with Pancho where he shows her everything. He knows everybody.  The market workers get him to dance for them.  He is clearly in his element. He grabs Susana and the crowd cheers and sings the Pancho/Susana "love/theme song". Pancho and Susana enjoy fried grasshoppers.  Susana likes them and also admires Pancho's great qualities and his enormous heart.  He admires her, too.  A girl brings him flowers for his "wife." He pays the girl for the flowers and says that Susana  may not be his wife but she does deserve all of the flowers in the world.  She loved coming to the market with him and cleans his face. They leave in La Burra.

Robert is upset with the girls for what they did. He tells them you cannot trust people you meet on the social networks. The man could have taken them away to who knows where. He tells Frida, Lupita and Dave that they have to be careful.  The social networks are not a game. There are a lot of risks out there. Linda admits she should have been more careful when she saw the photo. Robert then lights into Linda.  How could she leave them alone?  Linda doesn't argue. She didn't think of the consequences.  Robert will be telling Blanca all about this. Frida is not happy hearing that.

In Blanca's kitchen, Imelda is lecturing Daniela about her marital responsibilities and how she just cannot run from them.  Blanca tells her that times have changed. Daniela says that separating was the last thing she could do. Imelda goes on and on about how she is just leaving the door open for Gabriel to find another woman.  Daniela tells tells her that all men are not the same just like not all women are.

Blanca works with Catalina on her English and tells her that the first step in learning a foreign language is not to to get nervous or she will trip over her tongue.

Robert arrives and meets with all oft he family. Frida is still crying. He explains that Frida's secret admirer aka Camilo was a forty something year old man.  Nothing happened because he and Julieta arrived in time, Eugenio asks why Linda was so careless.  Linda lies and says she had to go to the bathroom.  Blanca says she should have known what Frida was doing on her cell phone and didn't. Blanca blames herself for everything.  Julieta says  it is not the time to blame anyone but they all need to be careful on social networks especially the children.  Blanca needs to know more about the social networks.  Julieta will help her out. Robert gives Blanca a new pair of reading glasses. She is happy and grateful.  Julieta reminds them all that they have to be careful on the internet. The important thing is that everyone is okay and learned their lesson.

Pancho takes Susana home with all of her vegetables.  She thanks him. They had a great time.  They both are eager to do it again. Next time, she can show him her world.  Axel shows up.  Pancho tells him about everything they got at the market. Axel asks  who bought the flowers. Susana said she did because they will bring joy and color to the house. After Pancho leaves, Susana scolds Axel for his behavior and asks if she cannot have friends. Axel  says that is not the issue. The issue is that Pancho is  very different from them. He is nothing like them at all.

At Robert's direction, the lawyer has come to Blanca's house to tell them what they can expect from Crisanta.  Imelda wants to know if there is any way of getting Crisanta out of the apartment building right now. It is not so simple. There are a lot of legal issues involved. Is what  Crisanta doing legal?  The lawyer says that Crisanta and Canuto have a marriage certificate.  Julieta asks if Imelda's earlier marriage does not invalidate Canuto's marriage to Crisanta.  The lawyer says only if Imelda has her marriage certificate.  Imelda is having a problem finding her marriage certificate. Maybe she can get another one from the government. . . . The lawyer says even if she does find it, Crisanta could always say she was Canuto's common law wife for more than  fifty years and still be entitled to a part of the building.  Imelda realizes  that  no matter what,  Crisanta  still could  end up with a part of the building.  Robert says  that is why they need to fight as hard as they can.  The door bell rings. Ignacio is at the door.  Blanca goes out to talk to him in the hallway. He is wondering how Frida's photo got on a sunglass flyer that he found without his permission. He is going to find out and use it against  the Córcega's.

As long as the lawyer is there, Julieta asks about the risk of Dave's biological father fighting them for custody even though the adoption papers were in order and signed by Dave's biological mother over a year ago.   The lawyer tells her what she doesn't want to hear: depending on the circumstances, yes, Dave's biological father could indeed fight them for custody of his son and take him away from them.

Jarifa: Good Job.

Great episode with lots of action.

I loved the market scenes with Susana and Pancho and how they got to dance again as well as when the crowd started singing their love theme.

As for the internet pervert, I thought that the threat was well told and was an effective PSA. It lasted just long enough. Loopy Linda was so worthless leaving those girls alone so she could go play with Axel. Dimwits both of them!

So now, we know all of the legal issues framing Crisanta’s claim to part of the Córcega property.

My heart went out to Julieta when she realized that Yela was the least of her worries.,

Thanks, Steve.

Still don't feel bad about Imelda. She can continue to suffer.

Juls should have realized that she jumped on the adoption bandwagon way too fast. She should have checked all the possible circumstances before adopting Dave. They weren't ready to adopt, they just went with Juls' insecurities at the time.

Susie and Pancho are an unrealistic couple. Pancho is way too animated, it's like watching Amalia and her ridiculous stints.

Worthless Linda indeed.

Thanks Jarifa. Your title was a perfect resumé of the most dramatic part of this episode. I haven't watched it yet, but I got so upset reading about the girls wandering off with that man, my stomach was just in knots. Thank goodness that segnent was wrapped up quickly with Robert coming to the rescue.

Given what I read, I think I will just fast forward through everything but Susanna and Pancho dancing. That part sounded really cute.

Thanks as always for your fast paced recaps of these tumultuous episodes. Never a respite, either for recapper or viewer. Yikes!

Inspired Jarifa.

Yes the boogeyman was all too real!

Especially enjoyed “He knows everybody…the market workers get him to dance for them and “He…says that Susana may not be his wife but she does deserve all of the flowers in the world”. A lovely sentiment and a charming couple. How well they seamlessly mesh!

Judy, you will enjoy every second of Susana and Pancho's scenes. Here is the ray of happiness we are all holding onto right now.

The near abduction was a nail biter and I am very relieved Robert and Julieta were able to save the day. My heart ached for Blanca, blaming herself. I’m sure every moment of “losing” Robert came flooding back mercilessly.

Even the prospect of Icknacio or Dave’s biological father trying to get custody of Frida and Dave is stomach churning. While I can’t blame Icky for being pset once he finds out what happened, he is an unfit father. Period. Poor Robert and Julieta. All of this makes Imelda and Cris’ squabbling over the house so unimportant and irrelevant, doesn’t it? As you so sagely noted “ My heart went out to Julieta when she realized that Yela was the least of her worries”. Exactly.

“The issue is that Pancho is very different from them. He is nothing like them at all”. True Axel. Pancho is loving, kind and judgmental. Qualities you are not at all familiar with.

Favorite of the night was the Catalina/Blanca vocabulary lesson. Was it my imagination or is Cat’s English just a tad bit better than Blanca’s?  These 2 great actresses sparkle together. I much prefer it when they are on the same side. And the girls’ near abduction was the sad catalyst that brought all together.

I also enjoyed the family trio meeting at Tavo’s office – especially his laughing with Cat. “Tavo is excited for her” – so am I…Happy Gabi is seeking the help he so desperately needs. Kudos to Ari for taking matters into his own hands and showing a far greater maturity than his father.

I did not love Audi trying to bully Pancho but enjoyed he was totally unsuccessful.
We have yet to see Pancho’s reaction to the near tragedy. How will he handle things with Robert?

“Imelda goes on and on about how she is just leaving the door open for Gabriel to find another woman”. Shut up Imelda. Please.

Jarifa, wonderful...Thank you!

Diana

Thank you for your recap, Jarifa, and such a great title, too.

What a relief the pedophile was apprehended!!!

I've had it with Audifaz. The guy is wearing two necklaces and he is upset that his son wears an earring?!? Reminds me of that bible story where a man is asked how he can see the speck in his brother's eye when he has a log in his own . . . or something like that. Note to audifaz - what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Lose the necklaces or let your son wear his earrings.

I could have sworn, at some point in the Cris/Imelda convo about no hot water, that Imelda said the dilemma was like something out of Casos de la Vida Real. But maybe I imagined that? The closed captions would not work during that scene.

How did Icknacio get the same pics of Frida that the pedophile had?

Good grief, I don't know if I could find our marriage certificate/license. yikes. lol

Good Morning! Thank you, Jarifa....loved the title too! My internet is down and I’m writing from my phone....something i hat to do, but just had to thank you and everyone else for their observations and comments.

Doris, Imelda did mention the “Casos de Vida Real.” Imelda has hit the bottom of the totem pole for me....Diana, I echo your “Shut up, Imelda” and JudyB, don’t blame you for FFWing through that.

"The guy is wearing two necklaces and he is upset that his son wears an earring?!?"

doris, that hit me right between the eyes - fantastic observation! I, of course, am far too fixated on Audi's pitiful pigtails to notice much else. I failed to grasp the absurdity of the layers of jewelry - well not quite, but :)...

RgvChick, I'm hard pressed to say anything positive about Imelda. I'm digging deep, but one of the few instances in which Imelda seemed to support someone without lecturing was from the first seaston with Ari. They did have a sweet relationship which the writers seem to have forgotten or discarded. I doubt even she could help the current situation. I think the change has to come from Ari and he has made strides in that direction. I am not sure how old he is supposed to be but I think he's too young to live on his own. I don't see him staying with Pancho permanently.

Diana

Rgv Chick- thnx for verifying that I heard CDLVR, which is such a hoot because that was La Pinal's show for . . . centuries. I used to watch a few episodes, now and then, until I just could not take the drama anymore.

Diana, yes, have a look at the irony of Audi's two necklaces. One is the classic Peace symbol ☮️ from the 60s hippies era (um, right, Audi, where is that peace and love right now?). The other is just plain silver round beads. Hypocrite! probably just like that group he has hooked up with. Peace out, bro. ☮️☮️☮️

Put Imelda. Axel and Linda in one of dawg Canuto’s fishing boats and let them get lost at sea! All siete mares....

Ari is a better person than I could ever be. When Audi screamed at him that he couldn't come like that (wearing an earring) into HIS house, I would've said, "YOUR house? Who supports this household? Yeah, that's what I thought!" But, of course, Ari's too good a kid to say that. Me? I would rub it in his nose. Especially when he starts all that "man" stuff. A man doesn't wear an earring, but does let his school-she son support him, right? Baboso!

School-age son

Thanks, all, for stopping by the patio! It has been a busy day.

Great comments all around.

Imelda is just plain nasty and Audifaz is close behind following in mommy's footsteps. Axel and Linda just don't think much if at all.

Anyway, I am looking forward to another episode tonight! : )

Thanks, Jarifa.

Glad they wrapped up the PSA on social networks and the girls are okay. I know it's needed for tween viewers, but Frida is smarter than that.

So Sebas was left home alone because Axel left even though Susanna asked him to babysit? It is so time for Axel to exit.

Ordinarily Pancho would be out of his league with Susanna (just as he was with his second wife in Una familia con suerte). But with an ex who's a revered physician and classically handsome but a deadbeat dad, I can see where she'd fall for Pancho.

Tee-hee-hee, Imelda cut off the hot water to spoil Crisanta's bath time. I bet these two veteran actresses are having a ball with each other between takes.

Niecie, I am so enjoying the Imelda/Crisanta clashes. They are just fun.

Thank you Jarifa, I have been working all day and didn't have a chance to comment. It was a close call with that pedophile/sex trafficker. You just can't be too careful with your kids, no matter what.

I laughed when Crisanta ended up with a cold bath. She deserves it. Send that woman home!
