Julieta
walks into Susana’s office and Susana tells Julieta she needs her advice
because she feels broken. She says, “I know I said that we shouldn’t bring our
personal problems to the office, but right now I need help.” Julieta tells her,
“That’s all right, we are all human and we all need to talk and reach out
sometimes.” Susana goes on to explain how she needs to re-prioritize and put
her children ahead of her how needs. She wants to intersect her life as an
executive, mother, and a woman who needs a relationship. She admires Julieta,
her marriage, and her children. Susana goes on to explain that all her life she
has been doing things a certain way, but it doesn’t seem to be working. As
Julieta is listening, Julieta’s phone goes off and “Pili” says, “There is a
message from your mother in law.” She reads the message and Blanca says she has
picked up David and Sebas from school and she will feed them both. Julieta
tells Susana to relax, Sebas has gone to Blanca’s to eat supper with David.
Julieta’s
advice to Susana is to get closer to her children and spend more time with
them. Susana says it’s not that easy and feels like her sons have rejected her
and don’t want her around. She cries to Julieta that she sees her as so
balanced in her life and has everything, but she is the direct opposite. She also
confesses that she had begun a relationship with Pancho Lopez, but decided to
end the relationship because of her sons who did not take it very well at all.
However, now her heart is broken. She goes on to talk about all of Pancho’s
good qualities, but Sebas hates him. Julieta says that it will take a lot of
work, but things will balance out eventually. But she should never give up on
love.
Sebas,
David, and Lupe walk along together saying that nothing will ever separate
them. David says that Sebas is his best friend. Soon, Pancho comes to get the
twins, but both of them have their arms crossed. They wanted to know when he
was going to tell them that he was dating Susana. Pancho says it’s better that
they talk at home in private. But Julio says he does not want him involved with
Sebas’s mother.
Diego
tells Temo and Ari that he has officially transferred to that school. Ari looks
a little perturbed, so Diego wants to know why. Ari says that he was just
surprised that went so quickly. Diego explains it was no problem transferring because
he is a good student. [I’m a little confused, don’t parents have anything to do with
coming to the school to check things out at least? Seems a little strange to
me.]
Robert
talks to Linda and says he is supportive of her work, but cannot support this
romantic relationship with their cousin Axel. Linda says she can no longer take
her parents’ rules and she is going to ask Dani and Gabriel if she can move in
with them while she looks for a place to live. Robert asks if she is doing this
for herself or for Axel, but she claims she is doing this for herself. Besides
that, Axel is a distant cousin.
Eugenio
and Blanca talk and he wants to know how she is getting along with Julieta in the
house. Blanca says they are connecting very well. Talking about Julieta and
Robert, Blanca says to Eugenio that she too would like to renew their wedding
vows as well. Eugenio is a little reticent about the idea as he thinks of himself
as an old geezer. But Blanca kisses him and tells Eugenio that she loves him,
no matter what. David and Sebas walk in and tease them. Sebas says that is the
way David and Lupita will be someday. David is in agreement, till when they are
old. Blanca sends the boys to wash up before eating.
Cklass
is having some kind of celebration to celebrate their success. A celebrity
guest is Ale Garcia who comes to address the group.
Frida,
Sebas, and David eat their supper and Sebas tells them about his new dog. Frida
asks if he has a picture. So he shows Frida one on the phone. She immediately
recognizes the dog as “Hermoso”. She says he looks just like her aunt’s dog
that got lost. Then she asks where did he adopt this dog from. Sebas, being a little
bit vague says, “In a very special place. I saw him for a while on the
internet.” Blanca walks in and says, “Put away that cell phone.” She puts the
soup on the table, then sits down and asks them if they would like to put on
their Oliver Twist play for them tonight. They all say yes.
After
the Cklass celebration, Catalina walks into Julieta’s office and wants to know
why she saw Susana crying. But Julieta does not want to tell her. Changing the
subject, Catalina asks Julieta what she thinks of her relationship with Tavo
and what should she do next? Julieta says she should follow her heart, after
all, Tavo is a great guy and she is a very great lady. Catalina just beams and
smiles. Julieta goes on and says that Catalina must be strong and not care what
anyone says. She wants Catalina to just be happy. Cat practically just jumps
with joy and goes over to hug her daughter.
Then Gabriel
arrives to see Julieta about organizing her 2nd wedding.
Crisanta
and Imelda exchange some verbal potshots at each other in the hallway. Imelda
lays it on to Crisanta that she doesn’t know what her own grandchildren are up
to. “So did you know that Axel is in love with Linda? This is not from God!” Crisanta
does not look happy about this.
Linda
goes to see Axel at his office at the hospital. She says, “I am going to fight
for our relationship in front of our families!” He is very happy to hear that and
she plants a big kiss on him.
Still
in Julieta’s office, Gabe and Julieta discuss the plans for her 2nd
wedding. She says it has to be really cheap. His laptop is open to a page where
Hermoso’s picture is on the screen. Susana walks in to thank Julieta for her
advice, but before she leaves, she notices Hermoso’s picture on Gabe’s screen
as identical to the dog that Sebas “found.” She appears very uncomfortable when
seeing it and remembers the day that Sebas brought the dog. Then she asks about
the dog and Gabe tells her they have been searching for him all over Oaxaca,
and “Have you seen him?” Susana just backs away saying, “I hope you find him
soon.” Gabe tells Julieta that was strange, but Julieta says that Susana has
been under a lot of strain today.
At the
Lopez home, Julio complains about his father being involved with Sebas’s
mother. Temo chimes in and says he does understand, like when their father met
Rebeca—the twins’ mother. He added that their dad has every right to have a
relationship and find love because love is very important. Pancho then explains
that he and Susana ended their relationship and decided to put their children
first. Julio then picks up his model and says he is going to work on it on the
rooftop because he wants to be alone.
At Polita’s
place, Ari plays his portable piano for her. They sit down to eat and she tells
him she is going through with the divorce. Ari tells her not to worry, that they
will come out fine. He tells her he has been thinking about his career and
would like her to become his manager. Polita says, “You mean like how Marisol does
for Xavi? Oh I don’t know anything about those kinds of things.” But Ari says, “Well
you can learn! You and I will make a great team.” Polita says, “Well where do I
sign?” So Ari hands her a napkin. Then Polita puts on lipstick and kisses the
napkin. “Okay, signed!” she says.
Robert “talks”
to his grandfather Canuto at the plant. He says he will not stop working until
both families are united. Julieta comes up behind him and they embrace.
As
Julio leaves his apartment with the model he is working on, he sees Susana
arriving and is very rude, throwing down his model on the ground saying, “Who
are you to try to take my mother’s place?” Susana calmly tries to tell him that
she would never do anything to hurt him and besides that, she and his father
have ended things. Then he says, “Well I don’t like you!” Sebas comes running
out of the Córsega apartment and accidently steps on, running over Julio’s
model. Chaos ensues and Sebas grits his teeth saying how much he HATES Julio.
Pancho comes out to talk Julio, and the boys keep yelling at each other. Robert
comes to try to make peace saying they can’t hate each other. But the boys say,
“Yes we can!” The adults make them apologize to each other and they do, very
grudgingly. Robert says they will all help repair Julio’s model. Then he
announces that there will be an “Oliver Twist” performance tonight at the
Córsega apartment. Julio is still mad about David taking back his part and says
he will sell drinks and things. Pancho says, “What, you mean give away, right?”
Julio says, “Okay, fine, I’ll give out refreshments.” Robert says that sounds
like a wonderful idea.
As the
children walk away, Pancho says that Julio has been acting like he is chewing
on a Habanero chili. Susana says that as adults they should be showing a good example
for the children.
We see
Hermoso at Susana’s place behind the door just barking….
Gabe
and Dani are at the doctor and she tells them that Gabe is responding very well
to the treatment. “You mean I’m cured?” says Gabe. The doctor explains it’s not
a disease, but he still has to continue his treatment. In a couple of weeks he
will be tested again. “We have hope!” says Dani. The doctor says to be patient.
Tavo
comes to see Catalina at work and brought her some dinner. She confesses to him
that she has fallen in love with him too! They toast to the occasion.
The
Córsega apartment is set up for the Oliver Twist musical production and the
children (Frida, Lupe, David and Sebas) are in costumes. They recite their
dialogue and they all sing their songs. They do a wonderful job together. The adults
clap and the children take a bow.
In the
kitchen, Julio is making the refreshments for Sebas and David. He spits into
the glasses because he is so angry. He brings the “special” drinks to David and
Sebas and they drink up, not knowing that Julio just spit into them.
Susana
tells Sebas how fabulous he was, but Sebas is still angry with her and wants to
continue to live with his father. She lets him know that she broke up with
Pancho, but it’s of no use. Then she tells him that he has to return the dog
because it belongs to Gabriel and Daniela. Of course Sebas does not want to
return the dog, he says he found him and adopted him. Susana tries to explain
that the dog got lost, but Sebas doesn’t care. He says, “Well if they were
taking good care of him, he wouldn’t have gotten lost. And I’m not going to
return him.”
In the
hallway, Temo and Ari are together and run into Audifáz. Temo says he will wait
outside and walks away. Audi gives Ari a very horrid and cold stare with his
eyes filled with hate. Then he tells Ari that he should consider conversion
therapy. Then we get a PSA speech from Ari about the “evils” of conversion
therapy.
Linda
announces that she wants to move out and live on her own. But Blanca and Imelda
just verbally attack her. Robert tries to play peacemaker again and this is
Pancho’s time to say “Peace out” and leave since this is about Córsega family matters. He takes his children and leaves. Linda says she wants to independent, but
Imelda accuses her of just wanting to move out to have an illicit relationship
with her cousin. Blanca says they are telling her all this for her own good. Robert
explains that Linda is an adult and should be left to her own consequences of
her decisions. Imelda says, “Then I never want to see her again! So if Linda
leaves, she will lose her business at the rooftop.” Linda then goes to gather
he things since she is no longer welcome in their house.
In the
hallway, the next thing we see is an angry Sebas trying to knock down the door
at Pancho’s apartment. Robert comes running out to try to see what is going on
and make some peace. But Sebas is very angry. Pancho finally opens the door and
we find out why: “Julio spit saliva into our drinks and he put the video up in
the internet!”
