Mi marido tiene más familia Friday 12/28/18 Capítulo 76 The Bad Seed Sprouts
Linda is frantically packing. Julieta informs her she understands what she is going through more than Linda might think. Julieta had a complicated family and because of that she was a rebel herself. Julieta discovered that she could not control what others think but could control her reactions and her anger. Linda is so tired living there after she was on her own in Italy. She is so sick of their rules, criticisms and sermons. Julieta understands that living on your own and then coming home to live is not easy. Julieta cites herself as an example. Julieta asks about Axel. Linda starts to sob. She has no idea of what to do. She loves him. Linda wants to see if it could work out for them. Julieta advises her to think about the consequences like the separation from her family and losing her business space. Linda is going to stay with Dani and Gabriel. Julieta warns her she isn't going to find her independence there. Linda knows that but she needs to save up some money until she can afford a place of her own. Julieta reminds her that Dani and Gabriel are trying to have a baby. Linda is going anyway. Now, Julieta can have the bathroom all to herself.
Temo and Ari are working on their song. Temo is in love.
On her way out the door, Linda tells the family she is moving in with Dani and Gabriel. They can all come and see her if Imelda will let them. Imelda says NO to that and accuses her of acting against all of them. Imelda bets Linda will come running home with her tail between her legs when she has to admit that she made a mistake. Linda hugs Frida and leaves a fully occupied but silent living room behind.
Dani and Gabriel are at home planning the vow renewal when Frida lets them know that Sebas has a dog just like Hermoso.
Out in the hall, Susana brings Crisanta up to date. She broke up with Pancho. Sebas has a dog but it isn't his. It belongs to Dani and Gabriel; but he doesn't want to return it. She asks Crisanta if she knew Axel was going out with Linda. So, when Susana asks her mother to come back and support her at their home, Crisanta agrees to return today.
Axel tells Linda she can count on him for anything like transportation, food, company. Next, he mentions that he has been thinking about getting more independent himself and now could be the time! Maybe they could find an apartment for the two of them. Linda asks if he means living together. He says it would give them a chance to get to know each other. She should think about it. There is no pressure. Living with her would be an adventure. She smiles. They kiss.
Robert and Julieta talk about Linda leaving and how angry and upset everyone is. Julieta thinks that it is only normal because she is leaving so unexpectedly. Robert disagrees saying the real problem is that she is going to be with Axel. Robert wonders how they could talk some sense to her and convince her otherwise. Julieta sees Linda as the eternal adolescent and thinks that Linda will have to convince herself. As for Linda being with Axel, Julieta reminds Robert that love is flowering in Oaxaca. She lists all of the couples ending with Dave being so taken with Lupita and they themselves.
Susana tells Crisanta about the camping trip tomorrow. Sebas is rude to his mother and gets away with it again. Vicente arrives with Hermoso in tow to pick up Sebas. He finds it necessary to remark how interesting it is to find Susana at Pancho's place. Crisanta reminds her EX-son-in-law that she also lives in the building and that Susana came to see her. Crisanta asks Sebas where he found the dog. He says in the park. Dani and Sebas come around the corner into the hallway and are so happy that Hermoso has been found. Sebas blames his mother for telling. Gabriel says it wasn't his mother. It was on the social networks and they have been looking for him all over Oaxaca. Dani thanks Sebas for taking care of the dog. Sebas says they didn't take very good care of him because if they had, he never would have gotten lost. He is not returning the dog.
Blanca and Polita discuss Linda. Blanca says Linda left without caring anything about what her family thought. Polita says that is how love is. Blanca has decided she needs to do something else. Where could she get s job at her age? Ari tells Blanca about how Polita is his manager now and how he needs to expand the content of his video channel to get more viewers. Blanca could do cooking lessons and they could split the income . Blanca isn't too keen about any more cameras. Ari explains that they would be filming actual classes where she would share what she knows right there in her kitchen. Blanca would be in control of everything. She'd be a "YouTuber". Julieta and Robert like the idea, too. Blanca agrees to do it.
Gabriel and Dani beg Sebas for Hermoso to be returned to them. They adopted him and loved him from the start. Sebas has decided that Hermoso would be better off without him. Sebas knows what it is to feel alone and los. Dani and Gabriel weren't very good parents. Gabriel says he fell and that is why Hermoso got away. Hermoso makes them feel like a family. They continue to beg. Susana asks Sebas to please return the dog and Vicente gives Sebas his nod of approval. Sebas wants to know that they will take care of Hermoso. They will with all of their souls. Finally, Sebas hands over Hermoso. He smiles and cries.
The day of the school campout has arrived!!! Blanca packs up all of the food for Robert and Julieta for the camp out. Julieta tells her mother-in -law that she knows it that these have been hard days for Blanca but she has made their stay so very pleasant and with so much love. She even gave them a rooster to wake them up. Blanca says that even when they move back into their own home, her home will always be their home. Robert is happy that Julieta and Blanca love each other so much. The women hug as Dave gets crushed in between them.
Crisanta tells Imelda that she is moving back home because her daughter needs her but Imelda shouldn't claim victory because Crisanta promises to appear in her dreams. Imelda says she'd never let such a ghostly turkey appear in her dreams. Crisanta reminds her that he who laughs last laughs best. She leaves. A little while later Imelda finds that she took Canuto and his tree home with her. When talking to Blanca later, Blanca remarks that is probably what Crisanta meant by "He who laughs last. . ." Imelda is also not happy that Blanca is going to be on the internet. She thought Blanca was the last "normal" member of the family left.
At the camp site, bratty Sebas complains that he would have rather that his father had come with him than his mother. Susana says it was just a great opportunity to spend more time with him.as she had promised. Robert, Julieta and Dave arrive. Immediately Sebas gets Dave on the side to inform him about his plan for revenge on Julio. Sebas assures Dave it will be something that Julio will remember his whole life. Julieta sees them together and looks worried.
It turns out Amalia and Enzo moved Canuto and his tree to Crisanta's who now wants to be alone with her Canuto. She pays Amalia and Enzo. As they leave, Amalia wonders aloud to Enzo what Crisanta will say when she finds out that they are changing countries. He shushes her.
Pancho arrives at the campsite. Robert hopes that maybe they can help the kids get along better. Pancho and Susana talk about how bad their boys have become. Julieta says she saw Dave talking to Sebas and looking very suspicious and now she cannot find them. She wonders where they went. Susana says Sebas really didn't want to come with her so he was probably just talking to Dave about it.
Sebas wants to find something to scare Julio with. Dave is not too sure he wants to go along with the plan and anger his parents. Sebas continues on his usual obnoxious roll. Blah. Blah Blah: his mother didn't let his dad come camping/ they took his dog away from him/ the worst of all is that everybody is now laughing at them because they swallowed Julio's spit. Dave is just not into it. Sebas finds a toad and puts it in a jar . . .
Pancho wants to talk to Susana and not about camping. Susana is worried if the kids see them together so it is better to stay separated. It s better that they take care of their families first.
Dani and Gabriel are so happy to to have Hermoso home. Linda finally gets up. Dani informs her that if she is going to live there, she will have to get up earlier to help out around the house. Linda asks Dani to relax. Linda knows she is up a little late but she is ready to start her work day. Gabriel doesn't want to pressure her but does want to know how long she is planning on staying. Linda says no worries. She will put on her headphones and will not notice what the two of them are doing. Dani says that is not the point. Axel is the point. He is her cousin and she is the one who is being stubborn. Gabriel continues saying they are modern thinkers but cousins????? He cannot even go there. Linda says very "distant" cousins. She just wants to see where things could go with him. Anyway, she will be looking for a new place to stay and in the meantime she will have her headphones on.
Back at the campsite, Dave is not happy. Diana welcomes all parents and children to the first school campout. Hugo helps everyone giving directions to the location of family and group activities. Each family has been provided its own tent to sleep in. Tonight they will tell family stories around the campfire and cap it all off with fireworks. Robert asks how well the fireworks display will be controlled because you have to be so careful with them around children. Julieta joins in saying they want to prevent any accidents. Hugo assures them they are being extra cautious.
Pancho and his kids find their tent. It is all furnished but the windows don't work. As for the "spit incident," Julio seems to want to defy Pancho at every turn today.
Sebas runs around camp and finds Pancho's tent.
Julieta puts sunblock on a complaining Dave. Robert does bicep curls with duffel bags. He is going to help gather firework later and hasn't been in the gym in a while and doesn't want to be embarrassed. Julieta asks Dave what is going on with Sebas. Dave tells them part of the truth. Sebas is upset that they took his dog away. Robert tells Julieta to just calm down and wonders it she is going to put some sunblock on him . . . it is kissy face time.
Dave catches up with Sebas. Dave is thinking what Blanca told him about his conscience. Sebas explains they are just going to play a trick. It will be their retaliation for what Julio did. Yes, Dave has his cellphone. Sebas wants him to have it ready when Julio comes running out of his tent like a fool. Julio has been left alone in his tent. He comes out to see Sebas and Dave who is filming him. Sebas puts the toad on the ground. Julio is not afraid at all. He thinks the toad is great. He always wanted one and will name him "Don Sapito Saltarín" (Little Sir Jumping Toad). Julio thanks Sebas. As they walk away, Sebas tells Dave that they have to find something to really scare Julio. Fireworks!!!! Dave says he is passing on that one but follows along after Sebas anyway.
Susana describes herself and Julieta as two Little Red Riding Hoods as they collect fire wood in the woods. Julieta asks if Susana feels better. Susana says no. Sebas is still with his dad. She and Pancho broke up and she knows all about Axel and Linda. Julieta says at least they are not all cooped up n the office. As on cue, Susana gets a call from the BIG BOSS. She needs to hold an executive meeting in like twenty minutes.
Pancho and Robert have fun cutting firewood. Robert asks "Frankie" (Pancho) about Susana and Pancho tells him how Susana thinks the kids will be better off with them apart. Pancho asks about Julieta. Robert says they are better than ever together again. Robert thanks Pancho for his ideas on how to win back Julieta's heart. It takes Robert three swings to split a piece of wood. He and Pancho have a good laugh.
Sebas finds the fireworks storage area and the guard just happens to be napping. He takes advantage of the situation to steal some. Dave tells Sebas, while pointing to the lettering on a box, that his father says that fireworks are DANGEROUS. Not for Sebas evidently. He is used to lighting them with his grandfather Canuto. He tells Dave it will be a joke. They will light them and throw them into Julio's tent. He will run out all afraid and they will laugh at him. Dave doesn't want to play that kind of joke on Julio. He would rather just go play. Sebas says that this IS playing. Nothing will happen. Dave needs to trust him. he is his cousin and his best friend. Dave still doesn't want to do it.
Still cutting wood, Pancho asks Robert what kind of advice he should give Temo about how to protect himself when having sex. Robert asks if anything has happened. Pancho thinks of Diego and Temo but says he wants to know because he was a boy once and he knows how it is when the hormones are running high. Dave says the advice is the same for everyone: not to have unprotected sex and that love is the most important thing to keep in mind.
Two boys from school are harassing Ari, Temo and Diego. One says all they need is a rainbow flag. Diana blows the whistle stopping what could have ended up being a fight. She is announcing a strength competition. It is a tug of war. Temo is assigned to Diego when he cannot decide who to pair up with. Ari is given an unknown partner. They face off. Diego and Temo win. Ari is left face down in the mud. Diego laughs and enjoys it way too much. .

Okay, let me get this straight, Susana did not have the presence of mind to simply grab the dog leash from her bratty son and hand it over to Gabriel of Dani but instead let them “beg” the brat for their dog? ?? They all gave the brat a choice/power he never should have had.
Now with stealing the fireworks and Sebas’ harebrained revenge idea , it looks like Julieta was right that Sebas was not a good influence on Dave. It bothered me back then how Robert chose to excuse Sebas’ bad behavior because he stood up for and was a friend to Dave. Maybe if Dave wasn’t glued to a nasty Sebas, Dave would have made other “safer” friends in time.
Blanca on the internet will be fun I am sure.
Amalia and Enzo “changing countries?” That was news.
I felt sorry for Ari ending up in the mud.
ITA about Dani and Gabi having to beg...senseless and frustrating to watch. No wonder Sebas is such a brat; he has all the control and “guardians” who are too weak to stand up to him.
More later; have a wonderful weekend, Patio!
"The Bad Seed Sprouts Sebas - inspired as was "...continues on his usual obnoxious roll".
"Julieta reminds Robert that love is flowering in Oaxaca" - yes, but a bit less enthusism for at least one of them, Linda and Axel. And, is there even a couple in Temo, Ari and/or Diego?
"He finds it necessary to remark how interesting it is to find Susana at Pancho's place". Shut. Up. Vincente.
Bright spots were "Robert is happy that Julieta and Blanca love each other so much" and my favorite moments - "Robert does bicep curls with duffel bags" and Robert calling Pancho "Frankie". Simply great.
I'm happy Dani and Gabi got Hermosa back.
Some interesting fashion choices with Pancho's matching hot pink shirt and sneakers, Robert's high end not quite denim jacket and Susana's choice of a pristine white sweater on a camping trip!
I am all in favor of Blanca's new adventure. Great fun.
I've said before that while she has a head for business, Susana seems afraid to show any leadership and discipline at home. She can't compete with Vincente who comes and goes as he pleases with his mere presence enough to delight his sons. Sebas needs to be reigned in and she is the one who must do it. She needs to swallow hard and demand her youngest son obey and respect her. Not forcing Sebas to immediately give Hermosa back was just plain wrong. I'm sorry she is so unsure of herself but if you don't have self respect, no one will have any for you either. .
"It bothered me back then how Robert chose to excuse Sebas’ bad behavior because he stood up for and was a friend to Dave". Jarifa, I am hanging my head a bit too because I've been excusing Sebas too for just the reason you noted. No longer! :)
And for the not so much fun - I'm sure Susana's being summoned to a meeting will mean that she will miss and therefore be blamed for whatever happens with the pyrotechnics. Bad, bad news.
I didn't like the way the tug of war ended either. Diego was indeed enjoying it a little too much.
Looks like Tuesday will be a nail biter (think this isn't on Monday?)
Jarifa, thank you. Another spectacular recap.
Diana
"No wonder Sebas is such a brat; he has all the control and “guardians” who are too weak to stand up to him". Wish I had phrased that so perfectly. So so true!
Diana
RgvChick, perfectly put about Sebas and his “guardians”.
Diana, “ . . . If you don’t have self respect, no one will have any for you either.” That sure describes Susana on the home front. Susana is too worried about Sebas and Axel liking her rather than doing her job as a mother. Pathetic. Crisanta AND Imelda could give her a few pointers.
Otherwise, nice to see Robert and Julia getting along again. And I always love any scene set in Blanca's kitchen because I love the tiles and the cozy clutter of dishges and appliances. It's warm and beautiful and clearly the center of the home.
Another gray, cold day in Ohio. However we had a sunny afternoon (after morning rain) and one needs to remember those moments. Because they are few and far between. Wishing the Patio all good things today.
And thanks again Jarifa. Bad seeds are sprouting indeed...all over the place.
When I saw "The Bad Seed Sprouts" in the title, I was worried that Linda and Axel were pregnant. Ew.
“If you don’t have self respect, no one will have any for you either.” So true. People only get as much respect as they demand from others.
I agree with everyone else --- why is Sebas given so much power over Susana? and all the other adults? #sickandtiredofthis
"Linda says very "distant" cousins." Since when are first cousins considered "distant"?
It will be fun to see if Crisanta can get the best of Jabba the Hutt ... er ... Imelda.
All I have to say is that nothing good from Sebas will come from him having plans for those fireworks. Why isn't anyone guarding them and why aren't they locked up? I am sure something horrible is about to happen. I hope David isn't hurt or even burned again from his being with Sebas on this one. My father was a firefighter. We once went to a funeral of a man who died from using fireworks improperly. My father told me that his hands were blown off and he severely burned and died from the burns. Yeah, Sebas is a bad seed! And you know what? I'm sure nothing bad will happen to him with this hairbrained idea, but there is sure to be an innocent victim.
Cynthia, there was a guard in front of the firework tent but he had fallen asleep. I hope your take on Sebas getting off scot free isn’t what happens if he actually sets his plan in action, but that is how these plots usually go. Fireworks were forbidden in our house growing up. Too many horror stories of the damage they could do.
The Sebas character is a real horror. Surely a unique 'role model' in TN land. Susana needs to consider putting him in a military academy. If he keeps acting out he will land up in a reform school or psychiatric ward. The 'bad seed' indeed.
Also, I have figured out how it is that Robert is always strapped for cash and Axel is still living at home with mom. It seems doctors in Mexico have rather large offices but only see three or four patients a week, mostly their relatives or kids they wind up adopting. Not exactly the road to riches.
:-)

Axel tells Linda she can count on him for anything like transportation, food, company. Next, he mentions that he has been thinking about getting more independent himself and now could be the time! Maybe they could find an apartment for the two of them.
Axel has actually come up with a good idea. This is the only way these two will find out if they have what it takes. Linda annoys me to no end, but she did fall for Axel before she knew he was her half-first-cousin. If I remember correctly though, Axel knew all along.
ITA all said about Sebas. I loved him championing Dave and stuck with him too long, but his downside is too heavy a price for these two to be friends. Dave knows more about burns and how they happen than most adults. Hope he warns his parents what Sebas is up to. One thing I like about Mi Marido is that kids don't stay in jeopardy for long, so I'm hoping the fireworks storyline ends tomorrow night.
Andy, lol! Perfect explanation for why Doc Robert and Axel are poor as church mice.
Happy New Year's Eve, everyone!
Watching Por Ella soy Eva and who should appear? It’s a much younger Latin Lover aka Enzo.
Anyway, I wish you all a healthy and happy 2019!
Looking forward to tomorrow night.
Stay safe tonight.
Diana
I wish you happiness, peace, and much success! May you have a blessed year!
I guess we are on for tonight! I am not looking forward to seeing the kind of trouble that Sebas will probably cause. I will have to cover my eyes.
