Mi marido tiene más familia Monday12/17/18 Capítulo 68 A Prayer is Answered By a Father's Love--OR--Crisanta Gets ZAPPED!!!

Julieta realizes that she probably has no right to ask the Virgin for anything but she has never stopped believing in her power so that is why she is asking her to help her. Nothing is like it was. Her relationship with Robert is broken. They are about to lose the house and have lost Dave. She doesn't know how to find the strength to go on. She will put up with anything if it makes her son happy.

Lupita encourages Dave to tell his bio-dad Fernando how he feels. Her dad taught them to keep nothing in.  Dave is afraid that if he tells his bio-dad that he wants to go back to live with the Oppa's  he will be very sad.  Fernando has nobody else. Dave cannot leave him alone since he knows how it feels to be abandoned.

Vicente is all excited that Robert has accepted the position in Africa. He will give Robert time to get everything arranged. Vicente says it is a minimum six month commitment so Vicente can do what he needs to do in Mexico. Robert looks like this is not what he was expecting.

Susana chats with Pancho as she is driving and he is working at the bakery.  She is overjoyed that Sebas told her he loves her.  Pancho is happy for her.  Should they celebrate? Susana says not now because she wants to spend more time with her sons and doesn't want to to rock the boat.  She wants to give it time because it will be worth it. Pancho tells her she can have the rest of his life.  She adds that they can wait together. He loves her.

Dani hopes she gets pregnant very quickly so they can use those little shoes that Gabriel bought. She goes to kiss Gabriel and a jealous Hermoso barks. Gabriel went to get some medical tests done after the dog bite and his depression.  He is  interested in making sure he is okay. He tells her not to worry.

Dani goes to see her mom and tells her and Linda of her plans to get pregnant.  Everyone is happy and will spoil her as much as they can. Will it be a boy or a girl? Dani has to remind them that they are not even pregnant.  She tells them about the baby shoes and about  Gabriel going to get some medical tests to make sure he is healthy.  Blanca looks concerned. Feeling like she does has been such a surprise for Dani. Blanca says our hearts tell us when se are ready to be mothers. Blanca asks Linda what is going on with Iker. Linda admits that he is trying really hard to win her heart but she isn't reciprocating.  New topic: the house has to be in great shape because it is most likely that Robert,  Julieta and Blanquita will be coming to live with them.

At work, Julieta tells her mother that things got so bad that she ended up  going to church and asking God to give her a hand.  Catalina smiles.  They are going to rent the house because they do not have any other choice.  Catalina wonders where she herself will be living because her house is literally under water. Julieta continues adding that if things keep going as they are, she will be living with her mother-in-law. Both she and Catalina look horrified.

Robert tells Tavo that he accepted the  position in Africa but he needs time to arrange things for his own family and his extended family. The first thing he has to solve is where his family is going to live.   The most obvious choice would be fo them to live with his family but that could end up being one more challenge.  Robert doesn't know how they got to this point. Tavo tells him he isn't the first or last son who has to ask for help from his parents. He has an opportunity to better himself and to benefit his family.  All Robert would like is  for the four of them living in their own house again.  He is counting the hours until he can see his son.

Fernando asks Dave what is wrong. Dave looks very sad. Nothing bad happened in school. Dave just disappears into his room. Fernando is worried.

Susana has made a pot of her mother's alphabet soup for Sebas.  He asks when his granny is coming home. Susana hopes soon and reminds him she is living at Pancho's house. Sebas gets upset and tells her how he cannot stand Pancho and his kids. Susana will not have him show such disrespect.  The López's are good people.  Sebas insists that he will never like them and doesn't want to talk anymore about them because they will end up fighting.

Julio  and Pancho get into it about "turning gay" Pancho tells him against that people are born that way.  They all need to respect each other. It is not good to make Temo feel bad. Life is too short. He wants Julio to think about it. Julio shouts NO and goes running  back to his room.

Imelda runs into Crisanta and tells her she wishes she were living in one of the upstair apartments so she wouldn't have to see her everyday. Crisanta honks a horn at her. Imelda  disagrees that Susana's apartment is the one right across the hall.  Crisanta tells her that she can make it easy or hard and honks at her again.  Crisanta also informs her that her daughter could be entitled to a portion of the proceeds from the bakery because her father founded it.  Imelda announces she wants to make a peace pact with Crisanta. Crisanta is reluctant. Imelda wants to shake her had. When Crisanta does go to shake her hand, she become the victim of the  old electrified super duper elecrified Juan Osorio hand buzzer. (he has used it before)Imelda laughs. That is what she gets for being so daring. "Corriente para la corriente" ("Curr ent for the common": a play on "corriente" meaning both "current and "common".) Crisanta says Imelda the "out of style" criminal will pay her back.  Talking about style, Imelda asks why doesn't Crisanta comb that little cock's comb on the top of her head?(Crisanta's hair is all out of place after the "shock.")

Julieta's house has a for rent/furnished sign on it. She explains the situation to Ari.  He understands that he needs to solve his own problems and talk with his mother.  He thanks Julieta and Robert for the love they have shown him. It is something he doesn't deserve. Robert is puzzled hearing that. Julieta asks why he would say that. Ari just thinks about the problems he has caused and how confused he is.  Robert asks if there is something wrong. Ari says no. Robert insists they will continue to support Ari in everything.  Ari hopes that they can solve their own problems because they are the example that love really does exist. Julieta looks at Robert. Ari is feeling guilty because his parents are going to get divorced.

Audifaz calmly asks Amapola if she is completely sure that she wants a divorce.  She says yes there is no turning back. Audifaz goes to collect his belongings so she can live in the apartment peacefully and be close to her work.  He is going to ask Blanca and Eugenio if he can stay in the basement apartment until he can get a job and another place. He says he hopes she is  not going to be sorry for the decision. She tells him that he is the one who should be sorry.

Frida comes out of her room screaming. She has a pimple on her nose. Blanca explains it is all a part of growing up.  There is music in the hall. It is Iker with a romantic serenade ( contemporary style) for Linda. She smiles.

Gabriel comes home depressed. It turns out that his medical tests have indicated that he has a hormone problem with a low sperm count and a low motility problem with those sperm he does have.  Dani says not to worry. He says of course he has to worry. The chances of him being able to impregnate anybody are not good.

Robert and Julieta are sharing their depression in Dave's room when the doorbell rings.  They think it is Polita but it is Dave is  with all of his things. He runs to Julieta's open arms.

Dani doesn't want Gabriel to jump to conclusions. These are only the first tests and there are specialists. Gabriel is very ashamed and doesn't want to talk to anyone in their families about it.
Dani thinks they can get beyond this. She reminds him he is also taking lots of meds for his depression that could also affect his sperm.  Dani will find the best fertility specialist. They go to kiss and a jealous Hermoso growls.

Julieta asks if there is a problem.  Does he need them to take care of Dave? Fernando has news for Robert and Julieta. He has made a definitive decision. In tears, he says the days he has spent with his son have been wonderful for him but he has to face reality and think of his son's happiness. Fernando is there to return their child to them. Fernando continues that he has realized that Dave missed them all too much. He knew that Dave could not tell him because he didn't want to hurt him although he was suffering.  Fernando knows that they were suffering a lot, too.  Fernando admits that he was happy at his son's side but his happiness couldn't be at the cost of of the happiness of the other three of them.  Robert tells him what a kind person Fernando is. Fernando says he  has had to accept that Dave is better off with them.  Robert thanks him and tells him without a doubt he is great guy. Julieta agrees and Fernando can continue seeing Dave as much as he wants to.  Dave runs to Fernando and says yes! because he doesn't want Fernando to be alone. He runs to Fernando  and hugs him. Robert makes it clear that they recognize that Fernando is a part of Dave's life and a part of their family.  The doors of their home will always be open to him.  Dave agrees. Fernando knows that Dave loves him but also knows that Dave could not be happy because his heart was always here with Robert and Julieta.  He promises to visit Dave every weekend and wants to see him grow and get back lost time. Dave and Fernando hug.

Iker asks how Linda liked the serenade. Linda tells him it was nice but not in line with the "challenges." Blanca and Frida don't get it. Linda asks to talk to Iker alone. Linda wonders if Iker is trying to "one up" Axel. Ike asks if she is defending Axel. No, she has decided nothing yet. She is tired of the whole competition.  They joke and kiss. He leaves. She is frustrated. What to do?

Gabriel won't let his depression get him down again. They will find a specialist together;  hopefully an inexpensive one. Dani says his health is the priority.  They will just make more furniture.

Robert tells Fernando the door is open to him whenever he wants to come over and not just on weekends. Julieta has no words to express her gratitude. Fernando will talk to his lawyer so a new custody agreement can be drawn up. Robert thanks Fernando for his immense love Dave who is a son to all of them. He wants to make sure that anytime he uses "OUR SON" in  reference to Dave that Fernando knows he is a part of that "OUR". Fernando says Dave will always be in his heart.

Blanca heard something about challenges and asks Linda between "who"? She thinks Linda has been acting really strangely.  Linda avoids all of that and says that love is complicated. Blanca adds that love  is only as complicated or simple as she chooses it to be. Anyway, Linda wants to concentrate on her business now.  Blanca tells her she also needs to think of herself because love makes us pretty.

Dave is in Robert and Julieta's bed with them catching up.   He wants to know why they are not wearing the same pj's. Julieta says that they were dirty. Blanquita is now talking.  Julieta says the four fantastic ones are together again. Robert later softly asks her if what she said about "being together again" was really true. She says no, she said it was only for his son's sake. Things have improved with Dave being back but she and Robert still have problems and he is going to Africa. Dave knows with Dave's return everything has changed. He cannot go to Africa now.

Pancho is telling Susana corny jokes in La Burra. How long will a burro and a burra stay in a room?  Until "SE A'BURRA'N"  (Until they get bored). They both laugh. He drops her off at home after a few kisses and walks her to the door when Vicente pulls up with a huge bouquet of flowers. It is just a little something for Susana. It is a peace offering as it were.  He went by a flower stand and remembered that pink roses were her favorite flowers.  She says they used to be but not any more.  She doesn't want to be rude or make a big deal but she wants to make it clear that she doesn't want any kind of gifts from him at all. He also brought gifts for his sons. Vicente never knew that flowers could put someone in such a bad mood.  Pancho puts his arm around Susana and tells Vicente that it has nothing to do with the flowers. It is all about his intention.  It is a bad thing to bring someone else's novia flowers. Susana looks uncomfortable but does confirm that she and Pancho are novios. She also asks that Vicente say nothing to the children until she decides to tell them.  Since Vicente has always done exactly what he has wanted to do with his life, she he has that right, too. Vicente hopes that  she tells the kids soon because he is very interested in what they will have to say about this "stranger." Vicente is putting her on notice: He will be staying in Mexico to look after his children and their well-being.

Well, just in case you are not up tp date, "Caray, Caray" will live on to entertain us another day. A big thanks has to go to Anita and her team for keeping this blog chugging along.

A very heartwarming episode tonight with a good dose of slapstick and wordplay thrown in for good measure. I always did like Fernando and he came through to do what was best for Dave.

My heart went out to Robert when he asked if Julieta really meant it when she said the fantastic four were back together again and she admitted that she just said it to make Dave happy. At least Robert is no longer going to Africa.

More tomorrow . . .

Thank you, Jarifa! "Caray, Caray" will live on to entertain us another day. A big thanks has to go to Anita and her team for keeping this blog chugging along."

Yay! and a big thank you to Anita and her team!

More later...

Loved the title Jarifa. Outstanding recap.

"the old electrified super duper elecrified Juan Osorio hand buzzer" was excellent. I have to smile at Imelda and Cris' silliness.

"Dave cannot leave him alone since he knows how it feels to be abandoned". But, Dave's return was a wonderful surprise! One of the many reasons I love this show is that it is not predictable. Julieta's face said everything except Robert's "He wants to make sure that anytime he uses "OUR SON" in reference to Dave that Fernando knows he is a part of that "OUR"..". Robert, you are too good to be true. Fernando is a hero and I have no doubt he will be enhveloped into the happy family.

I did not smile at Vincente. I find nothing in the least bit endearing about him. And if I were a betting woman, I'd say he can't wait to tell the boys about Pancho which will turn them against their mother once again.

And little Julio needs to watch his mouth and his attitude. He cannot continue to treat his brother like that. I'm a bit afraid for Temo.

We know there are still fractures in Julieta and Robert's relationship by the mismatched pj's. I hope Vincente will be the one to go to Africa as I can't see Robert leaving now either.

Thanks for the great news Jarifa! So happy the patio will continue to be open.

Marvelous recap. Thank you so very much!

Diana

Such good news about CarayCaray "staying open for business" so to speak. And bless Anita and her crew for saving us from extinction. In addition to those who comment, I know there are many many people reading these recaps and depending on them.

Jarifa, wow...Crisanta gets zapped! So this is a Juan Osorio staple is it? I did enjoy "corriente para la corriente", but just find the endless tussling between these two characters depressing. I know it's supposed to be funny and amusing but for me it is not. Different sense of humor.

Happy though to know that the Dave situation has reached a happy resolution.

And of course Gabriel and Daniela will have fertility problems! That was a foregone conclusion as soon as they decided to have a baby. However, low sperm count is maybe a new one for the telenovelas. Up 'till now it's all been miscarriages, faintings and female sterility no? Time to branch out.

Thanks as always Jarifa, as well as passing on the good news that CarayCaray will continue on.

Jarifa: Happy to see CarayCaray keep going BABY.

Jarifa...thank you so much.

I had a feeling that Fernando was a good guy and would realize that the best life he could give Dave was with Juli and Robert. I hope that they will be kind as well and try to keep Fernando a part of Dave's life. I once read this quote, "when in doubt, do the kindest thing."

So glad that caray has been rescued and a million thank yous to those who rescued it and another million to Jane who created it and kept it going for so many years.

Well, the sun is finally shining,I am trying to keep busy. My sister came to see me yesterday. I have reconnected with my favorite cousin Drew whom I was very close to. He is eleven days older than I am and his anniversary was two days before ours. He lost his wife quite a few years ago and is remarried. It is nice to share old family memories. We have lost so many relatives throughout the years including a cousin who was our age and one of his best friends. We begin and often end with family.

OPEN LETTER TO CARAYCARAY DEVOTEES
A new CarayCaray team is now in place of our departing guru, Jane, aka Melinama. We appreciate from the bottom of our hearts the tireless stewardship of her blog since she started it with Alborada, all those years ago. We want to thank her for letting us take on the job of continuing with and nurturing this blog. We hope we can do it justice.

To note, the storylines, dialog and content of telenovelas have evolved, many in ways which we don't like or approve. The English language has also evolved and what used to be offensive is now part of social content nation-wide. That goes for standard English broadcasts that are populating the cable and the airwaves as well. We who want to, change with the times or filter out what we don't like.

We recap and follow telenovelas for the pleasure of being in a community interested in telenovelas, Spanish language and Central and Latin American culture. The Univision and Telemundo products offered, drive the conversations.

If you have noticed that the number of telenovelas recapped, comments and "hits" on each recap is way down from days of yore, it can be assumed it may stem from the availability of closed captions getting better. Plenty of non-Spanish speakers have drifted off. What is left is a community of like-minded spirits who enjoy the conversations after the recap is posted. We hope each one of you are and continue to be one of them.

Thanks, all, for stopping by the patio. As Xmas gets closer, it seems I am getting busier but not necessarily less stressed. 😱

Diana, I think I saw the old buzzer trick in “Mi corazón es tuyo.” I might have also seen it in “Sueño de amor”, too. I remember there being a discussion about it. Juan Osorio does love his cartoon/animations effects on top of the slapstick. It never ceases to surprise me and make me laugh because the plots are semi serious. Yes, Julio is turning into quite the brat just like Sebas.

JudyB, I was quite impressed that they addressed both low sperm and MOTILITY. Quite sophisticated PSA presentation I would say.

Steve, yes! We are still open for business!

Susanlynn, I, too, always liked Fernando and was quite pleased that in spite of being framed and being denied his son by crooked Isela, he was able to put his son first. You can’t get much nobler than that. It is sunny here and in the upper 40’s. April? Sure feels that way.

Anita, thank you for bringing everybody up to date about the status of “Caray, Caray” and clarifying it’s “mission.” It is amazing Caray has been around as long as it has which is a testament to Jane and all of the recappers, commenters and readers past and present.

Jarifa, excellent recap. I haven’t seen the hand zapper in years and that’s the last thing I expected from Imelda. What a hoot.

Oh noes, now Gabriel has low sperm count and depression? Jeepers creepers.

Yay, I too am thrilled that Fernando came through and did the right thing. Now maybe Julieta can calm down and give poor Robert a break.

My only complaint, too much Linda last night.

Anita, a ginormous muchísimas gracias to you and your team for keeping Caray Caray going. Melinama has built a wonderful place, and it’s fantastic that your team came together to maintain it. I’m grinning all over.

Anita, for all that you are, for all that you do, bless you!

Jane began this haven and nurtured it for years.

I am delighted (and relieved) that you and your team will carry on the tradition. I can only imagine the effort this will take. Thanks to you and your colleagues for your spirit, your generosity and especially your times.

What is a shelter and comfort for so many of us is cherished. the idea that it could slip away is unfathomable.

Thank you for keeping our happiness alive.

Diana

Thank you, Jarifa, for your recap!

Anita - And what happy news that Caray will continue! Thank you for your message and my heartfelt thank you(!) to our support team.

Fernando bringing Dave back just broke my heart, mainly because he feels he is doing what is best for a son he loves. He so very much wanted Dave to live with him, made a lovely bedroom for him, yet he sees how much Dave had bonded with Robert & Julieta. That was a difficult, painful, and loving decision Fernando made. Wow.

Interesting that Julieta’s pajamas were the ones that did not match, as she still has her drawers in a wad. She will come 'round.

The Imelda/Crisanta scene might have been mildly cute if Imelda wasn’t such a malicious old bat. Nope. Not cute in any way.
Susanlynn – It warms my heart to see you posting more frequently, and also to see that you are in touch with family, especially during the holidays. (((Hugs)))

Doris, I have to make myself reach out to people . Hub and I did everything together .

doris, “. . . as she has her drawers in a wad” Yes!, that is certainly one way to put it and oh so true!

Hey, All. Just wanted to drop in quickly to thank Jarifa for another incredible recap...busy day!

Looking forward to tonight's episode..and hoping Julieta gets over her little tirade...and that she is a bit more civil toward Fernando.

Anita and crew--thanks SO much for keeping Caray Caray in business. So good to see many old friends on the patio, which is a refuge from the strains of daily life.

Susanlynn, it's good your sister came for a visit. We need extra family support for holidays when special people are no longer with us.

Hugs for all the patio peeps, and a big bunch of fresh kale for RgvChick's goats.

OT...La Paloma..please know that I am keeping you and yours in my thoughts and prayers.

Sorry for checking in kind of late, but it's work, work, work for me all day. Thank you Jarifa, your recap made me smile. Love the part about Crisanta and Imelda. The whole thing reminded of of "The Three Stooges" shows from well...way back.

Oh, yes, it was very Stoogelike., 😆
