LCJ
is in the security office making a call when Fabricio comes in having
been looking for him and reprimands him for not responding. When LCJ
quips that that isn’t his problem, Fab counters that anything LCJ
does in that house IS his problem. LCJ is not phased and walks away,
so Fab tells LCJ that he is going to be watching him, but LCJ retorts
that he already knows that Fab is watching him.
Hec-Maru
returns to his house and plops down beside Maru’s mother. When the
mother asks if he did something crazy, Hec-Maru admits that he was
set on telling Cecilia that she couldn’t marry that man because
Hector is not dead. He wanted to beat up the man, but he couldn’t.
Hec-Maru saw how happy they were…maybe they’re better off without
him. I thought I heard a bell tingle. No, wait, that was Death Chick
writing on her dry erase board. When Hec-Maru tries to get up to go
wash his bloody blouse, the mom stops him and tells him that his
blouse is clean. Hec-Maru feels his back, then manages a smile as he
looks at Maru’s mom.
At
the Carvajal home, Guille sits in front of the fireplace writing a
text message when Vale comes and sits with him and asks if he heard
about what happened. When Guille remarks that it was another narco
murder, Vale wonders if it was the same people who killed their
father. She then asks who Guille is writing to so diligently, so
Guille tells her he’s writing to Renata, but she doesn’t respond.
He also tells Vale about Eva finding out from Mayela. Eva decided
that Renata would no longer be his secretary and transferred her to
administration. Guille is annoyed that Eva thinks she is the
matriarch of the family…she thinks she can tell them what to do or
who to go out with. He starts to say, “Everything was going
perfectly…” but Vale finishes the sentence with “until she
found out.” Vale thinks that is the price they pay for the secrets
in that house. Vale gets sick just thinking about what Eva will do
when she finds out about her situation. Vale then tells Guille about
breaking up with Lucho and his reaction, she is afraid that outside
forces will end her relationship that is just beginning. Guille
thinks that is their problem—they allow others to get involved in
their lives, if Vale wants to be with Juls, she should do it…and if
he wants to be with Renata, he should do it too. After Vale agrees
that others manipulate them, Guille is glad that they have come to
their decision (about doing what they want)…all will be well. That
plan sure is working, for now, for your older Sister.
Outside
the Carvajal property, Lucho and Sergio are watching to see if the
guy Vale is seeing shows up. Lucho thinks Vale already told the guy
about breaking up with him, so the guy is sure to come console her.
Sergio wants to leave because he has to study, but Lucho insists and
tells him not to be a bad friend. Sergio reminds him that they have
been following Vale for hours and he hasn’t even had a chance to go
to the restroom. Lucho takes the keys to make sure Sergio won’t
take off. Oh Crap, Toxic Friendicity.
At
Silvina’s house, Pancho is working on something and sees that Juls
has gotten a text message, so he tells Juls about it. When Juls sees
the message from Vale saying that she can’t stop thinking about
her, Juls asks Pancho if he read the message. ( As she sweats a
bullet or two.) When he tells her he didn’t, Juls walks away and
takes her phone. Lupita walks in and bumps into Juls who keeps
walking. When Lupita wonders what is wrong with Juls, Pancho thinks
that Juls thought he had read the message and suspects that Juls may
be going out with someone. Lupita doesn’t think so since Juls tells
her everything. (Hrmph, ya think Loopy?) Pancho laughs telling her
that everyone has secrets…even her who hides a secret and doesn’t
want to tell him about it.
At
the hospital, Beltrino walks into Javier’s room as the doctor tries
to explain what will be the next step, but Javier already knows since
he looked it up on the internet…he is ready for whatever comes
next. Beltrino watches as Javier gives the doctor a detailed
description of the treatment he will need next. The doctor then
explains that Javier will not feel well during the procedure, but
knows that Javier will be able to handle it because he has such a
good attitude. The doctor then asks to speak to Beltrino alone. He
tells Beltrino that the next stage will be very difficult for Javier.
Javier doesn’t fully understand what is coming, he will feel
nauseous, experience pain and will lose his hair. Each case is
different but it is pretty unpleasant in every case. After the doctor
asks Beltrino to imagine how difficult it will be on a child, he adds
that it is very important that they be there with Javier to support
him. Beltrino assures the doctor that he will always be there with
his son.
At
Barb’s house, Barb sits at her table looking at the possessed
crystal ball when Don Valerio’s daughter appears at the door.
Without turning to see her, Barb asks that if she is not a spirit to
come in and sit down, thus she is quite relieved when the woman walks
in and sits down. After Barb asks how she can help her, the woman
tells her that her father died not too long ago and she wants to know
who is responsible, he died in a very strange way…he was a
shaman…his name was Valerio. Barb looks mystified.
At
the Carvajal home, Lucía goes out onto her balcony and nervously
sits down. She calls Servando (Armenta) who is practicing his
Croquet, but he refuses to talk to her and tells his goon to take the
call. When the goon tells Lucía that Armenta is very busy and asks
what she wants, Lucía staunchly states, “Of course, your boss who
is such a macho isn’t too busy to send people to be killed, but not
to answer my call. Is he afraid of me or what?” Putting her on
speaker the goon explains that Servando is like family to him…he
isn’t afraid of her. Lucía retorts, “Well, tell that criminal
that I want nothing to do with a murderer! What he did was a
monstrosity that is nauseating, he is a monster and I don’t ever
want to see him ever in my life! Tell him!” After Lucía ends the
call and the goon asks Servando what they will do next, Servando
chuckles and replies that this game has just started. He then orders
the goon to collect all the Croquet balls together for him.
At
Barb’s house, the woman tells Barb that Rosita recommended her…she
told her to go there because Barb could help her find her father’s
murderer. Keeping a straight face, Barb then asks what happened to
her father, so the woman explains that she doesn’t know, that is
why she is there. The day he died he was performing a job for a man
who kidnapped her son, she wants to know if the man had anything to
do with what happened. Barb says she will see what she can do and
asks the woman to divide the cards using her left hand. After she
does so, the woman asks Barb if she is going to help her.
At
the hospital, Beltrino tries to call Barb but gets get voicemail, he
needs a consultation immediately…he is on his way over there.
At
the Carvajal house, LCJ sits outside taking a swig of liquor when
Guille walks up and asks what he is doing there. LCJ says he is
thinking about things and just needed a quiet place. Guille assumes
that LCJ is worried about the employee being killed, but LCJ says,
no, that it’s not that and apologizes for drinking. Guille thinks
that what he shouldn’t do is drink alone…and takes a swig from
the bottle himself. Guille then tells LCJ that things are not going
well for him. Then he goes over the whole mess with what happened
with Eva and Renata and adds that Eva is comparing his relationship
with Renata to that of his father and Lucía…thinking that Renata
is a social climber, LCJ asks if Guille is sure that Renata isn’t
one. Guille is stunned that he might consider that, and assures LCJ
that Renata is not a social climber. LCJ then adds that the heart
sometimes clouds one’s judgement, that is why Guille needs to make
sure…LCJ talks from personal experience. They sit in silence
looking like father and son. I know I heard a bell this time.
At
Renata’s house, Keila comforts Renata and tries not to say ‘I
told you so,’ but she reminds Renata how she told her that the
relationship would bring her a lot of problems…she doesn’t even
want to tell Renata what is being said at the office. Renata wants to
quit again. When Keila suggests that she shouldn’t quit, Renata
argues that Keila didn’t see how Mayela acted, she scared her…that
woman wants to get rid of her and so does Eva. Keila knows how Eva is
a scary witch…if she couldn’t tolerate Lucía being with her
father, Keila can only imagine how Eva feels about Renata being with
Guille. Renata swears that everything that happens in that office is
like a great telenovela, Keila has no idea how Mayela treated her.
Keila thinks it’s best that Renata end her relationship with
Guille, it won’t get her anywhere. When Keila adds that Guille will
probably coming begging Renata to get back with him, Renata insists
that Guille loves her, he has said a thousand times and she can see
in his eyes that he is being sincere. Keila knows how easily men can
say ‘I love you,’ but one thing is for them to say it but it’s
another thing for them to show it.
At
the Carvajal home, Vale sits by the pool meditating as Lucho storms
in yelling that he is not going to let her treat him that way. (What
happened to all this heightened security?) He knewLuc she was
cheating on him and as he grabs and pulls her up he demands to know
who it is. LCJ runs in yelling at Lucho, he pulls him off of Vale and
tells him to “GET OUT!” Silvina runs over to Vale as Lucho runs
off yelling that Vale is going to regret it! LCJ then tells Silvina
to get coffee for the young man. After Silvina leaves, LCJ goes to
Vale and tries to calm her down. Vale hugs him tightly as she tells
him she is okay.
At
Silvina’s house, Lupita and Juls are preparing tortillas when
Lupita asks Juls about seeing El Chino at the hospital. Juls recounts
how she saw El Chino in the cafeteria and called after him, but he
didn’t hear her…she lost him after that. Juls hopes that Lupita
isn’t going to go looking for him. Lupita assures her she isn’t,
but asks Juls if she believed El Chino back in San Antonio when he
said he was someone else. Juls thinks that it was very strange…El
Chino probably just wanted to get rid of them and start a new life.
When Lupita wonders if Juls believes that a person can die and come
back in another’s body, Juls thinks that’s crazy…she thinks El
Chino was mentally messed up with everything he was involved in and
with the electrocution. Juls then mentions about the book Vale is
reading, but thinks that Vale is just trying to get over what
happened to her father.
At
Barb’s house, Barb tells Valerio’s daughter that her father was
not killed by a human, but by evil forces who sucked out all of his
strength. The daughter questions if Barb really read that in the
cards…she wants Barb to call out her father so they can ask him.
Barb responds that she has been trying, but her father is not there.
As they argue, Beltrino arrives and the daughter recognizes him as
being the one who was with her father the day he died. As she stands,
she tells him that he is her father’s murderer. When the daughter
starts to leave to call the police, Beltrino grabs her and slaps her
hard sending her to the floor, and she hits her head on the table.
At
the Carvajal poolside, Vale apologizes to LCJ since she always seems
to be crying, she swears her life was not like that until lately.
After LCJ comments that it seems that everyone seems to be going
through the same thing, Vale cries that she doesn’t want to hurt
anyone. LCJ softly talks to her and tells her to breathe deeply and
think about what is really going on with her…and then do the right
thing. Vale is having trouble figuring out if she should do the right
thing for her or for everyone else because it is not the same thing.
LCJ is suggesting that she do things in an honest way, she needs to
be honest with Lucho and with herself. LCJ wants to talk to her as…a
man…as if she were his daughter. He asks her not to break Lucho’s
heart, she needs to remember that Lucho is a human being who is in
love just like she is. LCJ is only asking her to try to understand
him because there is another person there. Vale cries as she asks LCJ
if he is okay, as she tends to focus on herself and her dramas…she
forgets that others have feelings. When she tells him that she wants
to know about Jacobo. LCJ tells her it’s nothing, he appreciates
it, but he doesn’t know why he is feeling that way. After he thanks
her for worrying about him, they stand as Vale tells him that she
doesn’t know what is wrong with him, but she is glad he is there.
They hug each other tightly and cry…when Lucho storms back in
asking, “The chauffeur? All of this for the damned chauffeur/!”
Behind him, Lucía, Silvina, and Tiberio approach and witness Lucho
yelling at Vale and accusing her of cheating on him with the
chauffeur. LCJ yells at him to SHUT UP! When Lucía asks what is
going on, Lucho tells Vale and LCJ to tell her…or he will tell her
himself. Toxic Ma...Stupicity
At
the company, Johny goes to see Cardenas to ask if he has made his
decision about selling his shares. Cardenas is looking at other
options…there are other options, there are other buyers and he
wants to see what they have to offer. Johny thinks he’s bluffing
and tells Cardenas he is not dumb…Johny knows there are no other
options or other buyers…and no one is going to offer him what Lucía
is offering him. When Cardenas asks what will happen if he doesn’t
sell, Johny smirks and reminds him that it will be the best decision
of his life.
At
Barb’s house, Beltrino is putting the knocked out daughter into his
car. After he assures Barb that the woman is alive, Barb asks what he
is going to do. Beltrino replies that it isn’t her problem and
suggests that she go back in with her spirits and try to contact the
lady that appears to her so she can ask her if his son will be okay.
At
the Carvajal poolside, Lucho insists that LCJ and Vale have a thing
going. When Lucía asks where he got that idea, Lucho tells her how
they were hugging, but Vale assures him that LCJ is her friend. Lucho
makes a snide remark so Lucía tells him to calm down and let LCJ
explain. LCJ approaches Lucho and gives him some advice, he needs to
show more respect for someone who loved him…that speaks badly of
him (it hits Lucía right between the eyes…WHACK!). LCJ then tells
Tiberio to take care of Vale and walks off. After Lucía walks off
after LCJ, Vale approaches Lucho and tells him it’s best that he
leave. Lucho still insists that she is messing around with the
chaffeur…and she will pay for it.
At
Renata’s house, Keila brings Renata some tea as the doorbell rings.
Keila wants her to relax and forget about her boss, but Renata
insists on knowing who is at the door. When Keila finally tells her
it’s Guille, Renata wants to go open the door, but Keila pulls her
back and tells her to let him suffer, he needs to value her. Renata
cries as she hears Guille yelling out to her, she pleads with Keila
because Guille is already suffering. Keila asks her to trust her, if
Guille truly loves her, he will find a way to show it with actions,
not just with shouting words. Outside, Guille is desperate and tries
calling Renata. OK, If actions speak louder than words, Guille,
Break in through a window. :-)
Beltrino
parks curbside and takes Valerio’s daughter out of the car at
gunpoint. She is now awake and accusing him of murdering her father,
but Beltrino denies killing him and explains that it was evil spirits
that took him while performing a ritual for Beltrino. She doesn’t
believe him and struggles to go get the cops. After Beltrino pushes
her back in the car, they continue to struggle until the gun goes
off…shooting the daughter. Beltrino curses…but he doesn’t seem
to be bleeding. (His tattoo)
At
the Carvajal house, Lucía receives a call from Servando. He got her
message which was somewhat rude since she left the message with those
he trusts. He warns her that it is in very bad taste to be talking
bad about him. When Lucía responds that she had no choice since he
refused her call, Servando demands respect, but Lucía counters that
life is what should be respected….something that he doesn’t
understand. She firmly tells him that she doesn’t respect a
murderer and a coward like he is. Servando warns her to lower her
voice and asks if she doesn’t have blood on her hands also. That
shut’s up Lucía real quick! She has to be thinking 'Crap, what
DOES he know?'
At
Cami’s house, LCJ sits looking desolate when Cami arrives. Cami
tells LCJ that he sounded terrible over the phone and asks what
happened. LCJ confides that he found out who had him killed….it was
her… Lucía. It wasn’t enough that they were f***ing behind his
back, they also planned his murder. LCJ then tells Cami how he found
out. Johny was very worried because Montilla is close to finding out
who they hired to kill him. When Cami asks what he plans to do, LCJ
replies, “The pain they will feel will be so great that they will
wish they had never been born.” LCJ then calls Lucía and tells her
they need to meet. When they see each other, she will understand what
happened. Ay Caray !
Beltrino
is trying to figure out what to do with Valerio’s daughter. When he
hears her call out for help, he rushes to her and tells her he is
going to take her to the hospital. He races off hoping that she
doesn’t die.
At
Cami’s house, Cami insists that LCJ needs to think and calm down.
LCJ can’t believe Cami expects him to calm down. Cami emphasizes
that what LCJ just told him is very important and shocking. LCJ is
extremely agitated because Cami has no idea what it’s like to have
the woman who supposedly loved you kill you. Cami urges LCJ to calm
down, he is only hurting himself, but LCJ doesn’t think he can hurt
himself any more than he already has. As he walks away upset, LCJ’
s butterfly starts bleeding.
At
the Carvajal house, Lucía is outside thinking about Servando’s
question regarding blood on her hands. As she thinks about LCJ’s
request to meet, Silvina approaches wanting to show her the origami
bird she found in Lucía’s bedroom, but Lucía had already seen it
and had been wanting to ask Silvina if she knew where it came from.
Silvina has no clue and adds that Don León was the only one who made
those paper figures. Lucía knows that, that is why she can’t
understand how it appeared there. When Silvina suggests that maybe
Don León is trying to communicate with her, Lucía is befuddled, so
Silvina adds that maybe, wherever Don León is, he is trying to tell
her that he is still here. Lucía refuses to hear it and tells
Silvina not to be saying such stupid things…León is dead and
buried! That would surely be handy right now, wench.
LCJ
is laying over his grave as he tells his body, “We are both here
now. I had promised to find out who had killed us and I’m not sure
you are ready to hear it. The person who killed us was the person who
told them that she would love them until death parted them.” LCJ
chuckles as he continues, “How ironic that the person who told us
she would be with us until death parted us is the person who had us
killed…but I will confess that she was not alone, she was together
with her lover…our beloved Johny Corona.” He gazes at his
tombstone as he says, “León Gustavo Carvajal Torres, you are not
you and I am not me because you are not there and I’m not here
either.” LCJ then reads the inscription on his tombstone: Here
lies a unique man who made Mexico greater and adds “Or rather
you and I made Mexico greater until the person arrived to kill us.”
Just then, a security guard approaches and tells LCJ he can’t be
there, he must respect the dead. LCJ, drunk and upset, tells the man
to shut up. When the man threatens to call the cops, LCJ yells that
that is his tomb so he has to respect him. The man tries to grab LCJ,
but LCJ yells, “No one is dead here! You are not dead and I am not
dead! No one is dead!” The security again tries to grab LCJ, so LCJ
yell as at him to not touch him. He throws himself back down to lay
over his grave as he tells the guard to go home…he is being quiet
there. The guard insists and picks LCJ up as LCJ tells him to take
him if he wants.
At
the hospital, Beltrino runs in carrying Valerio’s daughter and
asking for help. After the male nurses take the daughter, Beltrino
looks around and runs off.
Pancho
is in front of his home gathering his things that the wife has thrown
out. His daughter comes out and they hug as she cries and he
apologizes. Panch, I wouldn't give you a nickel for both of those
women. Your wife is mean and Loopie is...well Loopy.
At
Barb’s house, Barb is on the phone giving thanks that Valerio’s
daughter is alive. When Beltrino tells her that he just left the
daughter at the hospital and split. Barb tells him that he should
have stayed…someone has to give an explanation. Beltrino thinks
she’s crazy if she expects him to go back, so Barb points out that
if the daughter lives and talks to the cops first, he may be in
trouble, but if she dies then he will be in even bigger trouble.
Beltrino insists that it was an accident since the woman tried to
take the gun and it went off. When Barb reiterates that if the woman
talks to the cops first, the cops will surely put him jail, Beltrino
grunts in frustration and tells Barb he is going back.
Outside
the company, Johny walks out with another employee as he is being
watched…by LCJ. When Johny races off in his Mustang, LCJ follows.
Later that night, Johny tells the guards that security will be the
priority in this new house. If they need more food, they just need to
inform him. Outside, LCJ sits in his car watching as he continues to
take swigs of liquor. When Cami calls him, LCJ tells him not to call
him anymore, he won’t take too much longer. Cami warns him not to
do anything crazy. After LCJ tells Cami that he just needs to take
care of some debts, he immediately ends the call. After he takes
another swig, he pulls out a pistol and cocks it. He gets out of the
car and staggers toward Johny’s house…pistol in hand.
