Vale arrives at the
university and confronts Lucho; she hopes he’s happy that everyone is making
fun of her. Lucho retorts that she converted herself into a lesbian; he warns
her to take her crap elsewhere and not to even dare show up to any of their
parties or events with Juls…Vale shouldn’t go at all. (And especially don't mention that she was
tired of trying to help him solve his 'problem'. Tee Hee.)
At Silvina’s house,
Lupita again asks Juls what’s wrong; she seems even more down than the night
before. When she insists, Juls tells her to stop…she just doesn’t want to talk.
Lupita finally guesses right that Juls had a fight with Vale. Lupita thinks
that Vale is beautiful and nice, but she pertains to a different world…they are
like water and oil. Juls gets upset and asks, “Who asked for your opinion?”
Juls doesn’t get into her business with Pancho; and she doesn’t make comments
because Lupita takes advantage of him since he’s got a thing for her. Lupita
denies it, but Juls insists that Lupita calls him whenever she wants something.
Lupita scolds Juls and tells her not to be rude; so Juls snaps at her not to
get into her business. (Mom, do think
maybe any of this mess might be your fault?)
Pancho and Milagros are
having breakfast at a café. Milagros tells Pancho that he should be with his
family; she can’t imagine that he abandoned them. When Pancho points out that
Brigida kicked him out, Milagros retorts that Brigida had reason since he left
first…all to go chasing after those criminals. Pancho makes it clear that Lupita
and Juls are not criminals, but Milagros insists that they are since the cops
went looking for them at her house. She adds that the family is sacred and he
should be fighting for his family so the kids won’t be affected, but Pancho
thinks they would be more affected if they saw him and Brigida fighting all the
time. When Milagros pleads with him to try again, Pancho responds that it’s not
a matter of trying; the relationship hasn’t worked for many years…and he has
already decided…he’s going to ask Brigida for a divorce. Oh swell!
At the company, Keila and
Teo talk about Renata. Keila thinks Renata made a big mistake in resigning; she
won’t find a better job. Teo doesn’t think Renata and Guille will last very
long. When Keila adds that it won’t, especially now that they are living
together, Teo is shaken by the news and leaves quickly. (To go prepare his
'rebound' kit?)
At the university, everyone
looks at Vale like she’s a leper. When she gets a call from Juls, Vale avoids
answering; so Juls leaves a message asking what is going on since she hasn’t
heard from her since last night when she was acting strange. Still outside,
Lupita reads the article about Mugres’s murder and panics so she yells out to
Juls. Lupita is afraid that the Cartel will somehow find out that she is alive
and come to kill her. Lupita wants to leave the city; they can’t risk having
her killed. Lupita rushes off and calls
LCJ who tries to calm her down and assure her that Mugres’s death doesn't imply
that something bad will happen to her. Seeing that he is unsuccessful at
calming her down, LCJ tells her he is on his way over.
At the company, Johny is
meeting with Requena who tells Johny that he has a meeting with his attorneys
to discuss the selling of the shares. Just then, Johny gets a call from
Fabricio who tells him that LCJ is leaving. Johny tells him to follow him and
to let him know where he is going.
Vale gets home dragging
her feet and lies down on her bed only to be interrupted by Eva who has made an
appointment for her with a psychologist. Vale can’t believe what Eva did and
wonders if Eva knows that hers is not a sickness. Vale tells Eva that Eva’s
problem is that she thinks she knows what everybody needs...and she doesn’t
because she doesn’t care; furthermore, she lives like three generations behind
which is very frustrating to Vale and makes her feel very bad….she is somewhat
ashamed to have Eva as a big sister. Everything seemed to go in one ear and out
the other…Eva tells Vale that one day she will be grateful to her; Eva will send
Vale the time and pace for the meeting…she is doing this because she loves her.
People stopped believing “This hurts me more than it does you.” forty years

At Renata’s place, Guille
is trying to get his insurance to cover new tires. He is dismayed that the
deductible is more than the cost of the tires. When Renata suggests that he
just buy the tires, Guille asks, “With what money?” Renata offers to lend him
money, but Guille tells her the cost of the tires which shocks Renata so he
tells her that he will handle it.

At Barb’s place, Beltrino
can’t stop thinking about what she told him the night before; he’s not feeling
well. Barb had never seen him that bad. Beltrino is distraught because of what
is happening to him and not being able to tell anyone. When he mentions Lupita
and Juls, Barb wonders why he worries about them when he hadn’t before.
Beltrino responds that he thought he didn’t care, but it is difficult to know
that they are going through a hard time. Barb reminds him that he is no longer
El Chino, but Beltrino is still bothered…they are being followed because they
are looking for him. When Barb asks if this has to do with the money he brought
from Texas, Beltrino admits that that is part of it, but there is also the USB
that can bring down the Cartel de la Sierra at the snap of a finger. Barb
thinks he should take it to the cops so that they can stop pursuing Lupita, but
Beltrino believes that the worst thing a person can do is to be a
whistleblower…if he does that, his wife can be killed. For Pete's sake let Viewerville see what is
on that USB and we will help you Belt.
Silvina and Tiberio
arrive at their house to check on a problem with moisture. Lupita lets them in
and when she thanks Silvina for allowing them to stay there and holds Silvina’s
hands, Silvina has a vision of Lupita, Juls and El Chino running during the
hurricane. It shakes her up, so Lupita offers to take her into the house, but
Silvina quickly refuses. Silvina needs air and wants to check on her plants so
they can go back…she needs to get back to work.
(If Barb had Silvina's gifts, Death Chick would be working for HER.)

At Barb’s place, Barb
asks Beltrino what he feels for his other woman. Beltrino smiles and knows she
is referring to Alicia, the professor. He thinks she is an incredible woman;
she’s grand, good-looking, very cultured…and he respects people like that
because…he is an animal. He continues that Alicia has a light in her; he likes
to make her smile. When Barb asks about Javier, Beltrino thinks he’s great; he
had always wanted a son…maybe, deep down, he had always wanted a family like
that. He then sighs as he thinks of all the people he killed… and the family he
already had.
LCJ drives along unaware
that Fabricio is following him. Fab calls Johny and tells him they are arriving
at Xochimilco. (Silvina's country house) Johny is on his way.
Renata is home talking to
Keila on the phone. When she tells Keila that she already emailed ten résumés,
Keila reminds her that she can’t look for a job just anywhere; she has to look
at the benefits. Keila asks how things are going with the match between Guille
and her cat, Tlacoyo. Renata doesn’t even want to think about it; Guille’s
luggage will probably always be stained…other than that and having his tires
stolen, all is well. Keila advises Renata to think things through because
living together could end up breaking up her relationship. Renata clarifies
that living together was not in their plans; Guille is only living there until
he gets a job which hopefully will be soon. Keila thinks he is sure to get a
job soon because of his studies in England; and Renata thinks his last name
will also help. Yep, every company wants
a spoiled little rich brat who has never been expected to actually accomplish
anything measurable.
At Guille’s interview, it
is noted that he knows three languages, but that he has very little experience.
When he is offered a job on a trial basis for a month without pay, Guille
points out that he attended a renowned school in England. The man tells him
that they get applicants every day with the same qualifications and who have
gone to similar universities…and they would all be proud to be given the
opportunity that Guille is being offered. Guille declines the job. You go boy,
keep living the dream. As that is all it
is at this point.
Servando is being driven
to Lucía’s house. Chulo tells him that they are about to arrive and asks if
they should start shooting right away. Servando tells him to stay calm as he
takes out Juanita (his pistol) and admires it. Meanwhile at the Carvajal house,
Lucía calls LCJ and tells him that she almost has everything ready. When LCJ
wonders what she is talking about, Lucía adds that she has her luggage packed;
she wants to leave as soon as possible. As LCJ comments because Lucía wants to
leave so soon, Juls leaves Silvina’s house; so LCJ ducks to avoid being seen.
Lucía asks where he is; LCJ responds that he is running an errand and as soon
as he is finished, he will go for her so that they can leave. LCJ ends the call
and sits watching to make sure Juls has left. Meanwhile, Fab stops at a
distance and calls Johny to ask where he is. Johny is almost there.
At the Carvajal house,
Tiberio worries about Silvina and offers to get her high blood pressure
medication, but Silvina explains that it isn’t that. She saw another vision
when she touched Lupita—she saw her running with her daughter in the middle of
a storm…and then Jacobo appeared running with them. What puzzles Silvina is
that when she touched Jacobo, León appeared. Silvina thinks Don León is trying
to send her a message. After they sit down, Silvina wonders if Tiberio doesn’t
think it strange that the woman and Jacobo knew each other…and if he thinks about
it, Jacobo and Juls appeared at the same time. She wonders if Jacobo and Juls
are responsible for the bad things that have been happening to the family…and
what if they are Don León’s murderers!
At Silvina’s house, LCJ
and Lupita talk at the gate. LCJ just wants to assure her that the narco’s
murder in jail had nothing to do with her; so she shouldn’t worry. Lupita has
that dumb la-la look and still can’t believe LCJ isn’t El Chino. He reiterates
that he isn’t El Chino, but all Lupita can see is his eyes and his body. LCJ,
aggravated, tells her they can’t continue on like this; they sound like a
broken record. Lupita tries to get his sympathy—she is scared and needs his
help. She adds that she doesn’t want him to leave her alone—though he says he’s
not El Chino, he has his body and has to help her. She grimaces and cries, and
as she tells him that she needs him to help her, she hugs him tightly…as
Fabricio takes their picture and Johny slowly approaches Fabricio’s vehicle and
gets in. They continue watching as Lupita has a good, strong looong grip on
LCJ; Johny smirks and is glad to assume that the chauffeur has a wife…that’ll
be a surprise for Lucía and everyone else. LCJ manages to separate himself from
the Lupita’s armlock and tells her to calm down. Lupita can’t fathom how he
expects her to remain calm after all that has happened to her; so LCJ reminds
her that those people think she is dead. When Lupita insists that she doesn’t
feel safe anywhere, LCJ wonders what she expects him to do, but Lupita doesn’t
know…that’s why she called him; she can’t think (and the newsflash is??) Lupita
feels that if she stays there, she and Juls will be at risk. LCJ agrees to
figure out how he can help her, but needs time. As she holds his head close,
Lupita thanks him…and Johny smiles big.

At the Carvajal house,
Lucía runs out to her patio in a panic. Security tells her she shouldn’t be out
there as she looks at the motorcade of Armenta vehicles approaching on the
iPad. The guard at the security office also watches in disbelief; so he calls
Fabricio who tells him to secure the house and not let anyone get close. Two
guards should go ask what those people want; if something happens, they should
call the police. Meanwhile, Chulo gets antsy and wants to start the party, but
Servando tells him to wait. As two guards walk out the gate, Lucía watches on
the pad. The guard asks Chulo what they want and warns him that if they do not
leave, they will call the police. As they argue, Servando gets out of the
vehicle, approaches the guard and looks him in the eye as he kisses his fingers
before touching the guard’s forehead making the sign of the cross. Servando
turns around to return to the vehicle and his goons follow suit. Inside, Lucía
is relieved to see them leave and goes back inside after telling the guard to
notify her if anything else happens.

Guille arrives to his new
home with grocery bags in tow when Mayela approaches wearing the same dress she
was wearing a couple of TN days before (Wardrobe!!) and asks him to wait.
Guille thinks she is following him, but Mayela just wants to talk to him as a
friend. Eva told her he had left the house; so she assumed he was staying
there. She recounts how her day was horrible—she got into it with the press,
they humiliated her, she lost it…there is nothing worse that could happen to
her in her life (seriously, Lady, that’s the worst thing?). She continues that
it is very clear to her that they will only be friends and nothing will happen
between them, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t worry about him. Mayela goes on
that true love takes time; it grows with patience. She adds that Guille is
moving too fast with this girl and that he has always been rational and thinks
things through, but Guille thinks he knows Renata well enough. When Mayela asks
him what they have in common other than sex, Guille remains quiet (speak up, boy!);
so Mayela knows that right now he is blinded by the thought of being in love,
but if he ever needs a listening ear or if he regrets what he is doing, she
will be the person who will listen to him. After she kisses him good-bye,
Guille seems doubtful. (Or noticed that
her ugly, silk robe is getting a little ripe.)
At the Carvajal house,
Lucía is giving orders to the guards that she wants more guards and they should
call Montilla; she doesn’t want anyone getting close to the house.
At Renata’s place, Guille
enters and sighs deeply…the interview was awful. When he tells her that he
turned down the job, Renata can’t believe it and is somewhat worried. She is
sure he will find a job soon, but in the meantime he can stay there as long as
he wants. He tells her he has to go get some things from his house, so Renata gives him a set of keys; this is his
apartment now. Meanwhile, the cat is
secretly texting Teo.
In front of Silvina’s
house, Fabricio and Johny watch as LCJ leaves. While Johny scrolls through all
the pictures of LCJ and Lupita, Fabricio tells him about the commotion at the
house and how Servando made the sign of the cross on one of the men and left;
he thinks that the narcos are capable of anything. When Fabricio suggests that
they look for General Lopez, Johny is in disbelief and asks if Fab is serious.
Fab is very serious since it is very unusual that Servando himself went to the
Carvajal house. Johny agrees and tells Fab to take care of it; Lucía’s safety
is most important.
At the Carvajal house,
Silvina is dismayed about having been so close to that murderer and his
accomplices living in their home. Tiberio warns her that what she imagines may
be one thing and what is really true could be totally different. Silvina
insists that they should tell someone about what they have discovered. Tiberio
suggests going to the police, but Silvina refuses to tell them about her gift…they’d
think she’s crazy. She thinks she should talk to someone whom she trusts.
Moments later, Silvina goes to see Lucía in her room; she needs to tell her
something very important. Silvina knows that what she is going to say is going
to be hard to believe. After Lucía comments that with the type of life she has
had, nothing will surprise her, Silvina confides that she inherited a gift from
her grandmother; she can see a person’s past and future just by touching them
and also in dreams. Lucía doesn’t really like those topics; she doesn’t believe
in any of that. Silvina swears on her ancestors that it is true; she knew Sra.
Elena would die before they even diagnosed her with her illness…she saw it in
dreams. Lucía is skeptical and asks if she could see Sra. Elena’s death, why
she couldn’t predict León’s death. Silvina replies that it is not a gift that
you can just will to happen. She thought she had lost her gift after Sra.
Elena’s death because she didn’t see anything else. Silvina wishes she didn’t
have this gift because she sees things that she doesn’t want to know. Lucía’s
curiosity is peaked so she asks Silvina if she saw something that she wants to
share, so Silvina explains that what she saw pertains to León’s death and who
may have killed him. Lucía freezes. (As
she tries to remember which side of the suitcase the clean underwear is packed
in)
At Silvina’s house, Johny
goes to question Lupita. She asks who he is and what he wants.
Back with Lucía, Lucía
asks what Silvina saw; so Silvina tells her that the first thing she saw was
Don León when she touched Jacobo…she wonders if Don León was trying to send her
a message. Lucía is bewildered and wonders what Jacobo has to do with this.
Silvina then brings up Juls and tells Lucía that, as per Vale’s request, Juls
and her mother are borrowing her house to hide from some narcos. Today when she
went to her house, she met Juls’s mother and when she touched her, she saw them
running in a storm and Jacobo was with them. When Lucía asks what she is trying
to say, Silvina wonders if they all know each other and arrived at this house
through different paths right after Don León’s death. When Silvina adds that
she thinks they have something to do with Don León’s murder, Lucía feels very
confused and insists that that is impossible. (Because she knows EXACTLY how he
died) Silvina questions why Lucía would
say that; so Lucía reminds her that Jacobo arrived through Cami’s
recommendation…he has nothing to do with what she is saying. Lucía respects
Silvina’s gift, but it confuses her and upsets her because it’s absurd. Silvina
meekly apologizes and leaves. As she leaves, Lucía speaks under her breath
stating that Silvina is crazy. IE: she
hopes she is crazy? That was a close one.
At Silvina’s house, Johny
puts on his pretentious smile and tells Lupita that he only wants to ask a few
questions…about the person who just left, Jacobo Reyes. After Lupita asks who
gave him her address, Johny apologizes, introduces himself as Daniel Amaya, and
tells her he works at a bank where Mr. Reyes asked for a credit from them and
gave this address as his address. Johny is there to corroborate the
information. After Loopy-ta agrees to answer some questions, Johny asks if she
is his wife. When she remains quiet, Johny adds that Mr. Reyes talked about her
and his children. Loopy-ta clarifies that they have an 18 year old daughter.
After Johny gives her some BS about also having a daughter that age, he asks
what each of them does.

On his way back, LCJ
calls Cami and tells him that everything is going as planned; Lucía agreed to
go away with him. When he tells Cami that he is on his way to go for her, Cami
wonders where is going to take her. LCJ chuckles and tells Cami not to worry;
if this works out, he will start Phase 2 which will be the moment of truth. LCJ
then assumes that Cami thinks he is going to kill Lucía and assures him that he
hasn’t decided. After Cami warns him not to do anything stupid, LCJ hangs
up. (Which usually does not mean okey
dokey)
At the Carvajal house,
Sergio goes to visit Vale; He assures her that he comes of his own accord; he
doesn’t like how she was treated at the university and that is why he is there.
Sergio thinks her relationship with Juls is cool; he will support them. He also
admits that it was his fault that everyone found out about her and Juls; he was
very drunk and he just blurted it out to Nayeli who told everyone else. When
Sergio apologizes, Vale figures everyone would have found out anyway. Sergio
assures Vale that he is on their side and offers to help them in any way he
can. He thinks that students at the university will eventually accept it and
look at it as normal. Sergio then teasingly tells her that he wants to
congratulate her for vindicating herself since she dumped Lucho for Juls. Vale
laughs.
At the university,
Beltrino is asking for an extension for their leave of absence for himself and
Alicia since their son needs them with him. As the director tells him not to
worry, Beltrino notices Rosita sitting with some girls. Rosita smiles impishly.
At Cami’s house, Cami is
looking through some of the files of the transmigrants. As he reads a paragraph
about some of his findings out loud, Death Chick approaches from behind him and
listens attentively and smiles. Cami senses a presence and continues to write
as he raises his voice purposefully to dictate his questions regarding who
grants the second opportunity and chooses the privileged…why some can come back
to the living and others can’t. Death Chick is pleased.
At the university,
Beltrino goes to the bathroom. As he does his business, Rosita enters. When
Beltrino points out that this is the men’s bathroom and asks what she is doing
there. Rosita smiles seductively as she asks him to think about it and if she
can call him ‘Beltran.’ Beltrino is amused.
At Silvina’s house, Johny
dismisses himself from Loopi-ta. When she tells him that she will do whatever
she needs to help Jacobo, Johny notes that she looks sad and tells her not to
worry since better things are yet to come. He gives her some more BS and lays
it on thick while he says his good-bye. Stoopi-ta is impressed and flattered.
Johny goes and tells Fab how appreciative he is of him and wants him to
continue doing a good job. As they talk, they see Juls arrive in a taxi. Johny
is pleased that he has now seen the complete family…as he takes Juls’s picture.
