Mi marido tiene más familia Friday 1/25/19 Capítulo 95 Life Goes on After Gabriel--OR--Robert and Julieta are Out There Some Where

At Dani's. Axel offers Casandra and Clarisa his sympathy and support. Can he notify someone in their family for them? Casandra says no. Their father is in Europe could not get a flight in.  She hopes he is back soon. Clarisa is despondent and does not know what she will do without Gabriel.   They are going to have to take over the business and  look after their nieces, nephew and Daniela.

Eugenio thinks about Dani being left with her three children and he is glad Blanca is back from her trip. When he thinks about himself, he gets agitated and tells himself that he needs to remember everything so he can help Dani.   There is a knock at his door. It is Susana. She wants him to know that she and Pancho are there for him and for Dani.  He thanks her for all she has done for him and for finding him Grecia.  He also finds out that Grecia will be able to help out Dani, too.   He hopes so because Dani has fallen apart.

At Susana's, Grecia talks with Crisanta about the funeral being so very emotional.  Crisanta says  she would have liked to have gone but she didn't want to deal with Imelda. In spite of all she has been through with the Córcega's, she knows they are going through a terrible time.  She would like to be there to support them but it would never work out. Grecia says Dani does have a lot of support with her sisters, her mother and Gabriel's grandfather Massimo. "Máximo?" asks Crisanta. Grecia clarifies that it is Massimo because he is Italian. Crisanta asks Grecia if she is sure. Yes, she is. Crisanta wonders if he could be her Massimo. She remembers asking Guido if Massimo was a friend of that insipid blond and him answering "Let's just say she is family." Massimo is Gabriel’s grandfather.

Back at Dani's, Guido suggests that Nonno gets away for a a couple days and sees how things are going in Italy and Miami. Nonno will not hear of it. He will not desert his three grandchildren or Dani at this time. His great grandchildren will inherit the little or much he has accumulated in his life. Everything will be for Gabriel's grandchildren. Guido just stares.

Nonno gets a phone call from Crisanta. He declines the call. The next thing he knows,  Imelda is just coming in.  He asks everyone to leave him alone with Imelda.  She apologizes for coming but she just couldn't be at peace at home knowing what he was going through. Nonno asks if Dani will be staying with them at their house.  Imelda says they would like to convince her to spend some time with them.  She is there to support Massimo and gives him a hug. She quotes Massimo back to himself: "If words are not enough, hugs are."  Guido hears it all.

At the apartment building, Audifaz runs into Polita. He says he hates to see her like this. She says she cannot look another way with Dani going through what she is.  Audi starts quoting from Napolean. Polita cuts him off and tells him that she doesn't want to hear anything from Napoleon or him anymore.  She cannot believe that in the midst of everything that is going on, he would go ahead and try to take her son away from her.  She tells him that out children are our support. They are what makes us want to go on.

Linda brings Dani back to her house. She doesn't even have the energy to move and sits down across from Nonno and Imelda. She is going to stay there tonight and go to her mother's in the morning. Linda wants her to come home with her today. Dani says she need to be  in her own home for at least today. Imelda tells her that she needs to do whatever makes her feel better and the family will be waiting for her. Guido tells Dani that he and Nonno will take care of everything for her. Guido asks if Dani  wants him to make her something for supper.  No, Dani just wants to sleep in her own bedroom and remember all of the lovely moments of her life with Gabriel and dream about him.  In her room, she cries and asks  Gabriel why did he have to go.

Blanca is with Eugenio feeling guilty that she was not there when Dani needed her the most. Eugenio says she was with Robert. How was anyone know that this would happen? It is good that she is here now and that she brought Dave with her. Blanca says Eugenio is right that all that they can do is focus on the present and help Dani with her children. Eugenio knows that love can help us survive such great pain.  Blanca missed Eugenio so much when she was away. He missed her, too, and thanks her for being the light in their lives.

The next day, Dani wakes up and sees the three pairs of baby shoes.  She starts to get up and says she is doing it for her children one day at a time. She looks at herself in the mirror. She stares at and touches the faded  purple section of her hair.

At Blanca's while Imelda, Blanca, Dave and Eugenio are talking about Dani,  the doorbell rings and it is Linda and Nonno with Dani and a piece of luggage. They all welcome Dani home.  Nonno tells Dani to call him for whatever she needs and leaves. Linda tells Dani she can have her old room back. She and Frida are moving to the basement.  Everyone encourages Dani to eat. Blanca reminds her she has to be strong for her children and cannot let herself go.  She can scream and cry all she wants and  they will be there to sustain her.  Dave runs to see Frida thinking that the "united" kids group is  getting together.

Susana tells Pancho that she has started interviewing nurses for Dani. She hopes Dani will accept her offer of providing her with a nurse to help out with the babies.  As a gift, she also has a triplet stroller so Dani can transport the babies all at once and together. Pancho mentions again that maybe they could have just one more little Pancho themselves.Susana smiles and reminds him that  they already have already discussed that. The topic is closed, right?  Pancho agrees but wants them to start living together ASAP since the wedding has now been postponed.

At the apartment building, the kids get together and talk about helping take care of the babies. They will take care of them as if they were  members of the group.  The pledge to do it for Gabriel.  They hear a ping on their computer.  It is a video of the "belching" incident that has been posted on the internet. Included is a small green toad that comments on the video. Julio thinks that Sebas is the one who engineered the "belch" attack because he is the only on who does not appear on the video.  Sebas tries to explain it is because he evidently was not in front of the camera.  As the discussion gets more heated, the group keeps the boys apart. Sebas says he thought that Julio had forgiven him for the fireworks accident. Julio says of course he has forgiven him but in this case Sebas is the one who looks suspicious. Temo doesn't think Sebas did it either.  Ari says since they are sure it wasn't Sebas, they need to find out who was responsible.  Julio won't let the topic go because he thinks it just sounds like something Sebas would do.  Dave stands with Sebas. He is his friend and he believes him.

At school, Diana, Hugo and Grecia are discussing the "belching" incident again and how it must have been a planned attack on the school. Hugo wonders who it could have been.

At Blanca's table, Linda says that it seemed like Blanca was away for years.  Eugenio says he felt like a dog who had been left behind by its owner. Hermoso barks.  Blanca thanks Linda for helping out Dani when she really needed it. Linda asks when Robert and Julieta are coming back from Africa.  They are not coming home right now because there was a public health emergency in one of the towns. Robert had to go and help so Blanca cannot say when they will be back. The cellphone transmissions are not the best either.  They are all there now to support Dani and her babies.

Susana and Pancho discuss living together.  Susana says the apartment is a real tight fit. Pancho likes it that way with them all nice and close.  She asks if he thinks it is the best for ALL of them.  He thinks it is a great start and will not be forever. That way they can also be close to Eugenio and Dani.  He wants to get them all moved in tomorrow. He will pick them up in La Burra "moving van"with all of their stuff.  The plans are for Lupita to sleep in Temo's room and Sebas can sleep in Julio's room with him.  Susana is not sure that is going to work with Sebas.   Pancho says it is all temporary so they should just go ahead with it and see how it works out. Pancho asks for love and peace.

Linda lectures Dani about the need for rest and recuperation after the Caesarian. Dani wants to go to the hospital and see the triplets but first Blanca has made some chicken broth for her to eat.  Dani  has to ask Linda for a favor.

Pancho and Susana announce to the children that starting tomorrow they are all going to live together at Pancho's. Temo looks shocked. Julio looks worried. Sebas is upset. Julio tells them they do not fit. Sebas asks how can he live with Julio when he just accused him of wanting to hurt the whole school. Pancho and Susana thought they were getting on so well. Susana is sure Sebas had nothing to do with that.

Linda wants to know when Eugenio is planning on telling Blanca about the Alzheimer's.  He doesn't want to do it right now with her just getting back and with everything that has happened to Dani.  Linda doesn't want him to wait too long.  He agrees but he hasn't forgatten anything in the last few days.  He is going to continue his therapy with Grecia so they can all support Dani.

Pancho gives the room assignments. Lupita is going to temporarily move in with Temo and Sebas and Julio will share a room.  Julio and Sebas refuse to share a room because they do not want to.

As Linda coaxes Dani to eat, Susana arrives with the stroller. She tells her it is a gift from her and Pancho. it is a symbol that they will always be there to push her and support her. Dani thanks them. She tells them that when Susana and Pancho got engaged, Gabriel wanted to ask them to be godparents for one of the babies.  Susana could not be more pleased. It would be a real hono for her and Pancho.

Blanca, Linda and Dani go to the hospital to visit the triplets. The doctor comes by and tells her the triplets are coming along nicely . Their breathing is adequate. She asks if Dani would like to go in and spend some time with her babies and touch them. Of course, she would. Seeing Dani with her babies, Blanca expresses her confidence that Dani will be a great mother.

At the same time, Grecia meets with Eugenio at home for his therapy. With Blanca back home, he wants to move his therapy to Grecia's office. Grecia sees no problem with that but she does tell him that Blanca needs to know what is going on.  Eugenio agrees but just doesn't want to burden her more now with all that happened to Dani. Grecia tells him just not to let it go too long.   Eugenio says since they are talking about family, what about Grecia's?  Grecia never got married nor does she have family here. Her father died and he mother had Alzheimer's. That is why she wanted to specialize in it so she could afford those people who have it the best quality of life possible. Grecia suggests that at this stage Eugenio make a video of everything he always wants to remember. Sometimes, it helps patients to watch themselves. As she films, Eugenio starts his video talking about his family. He has wonderful things to say about his family.

Luigi shows up unexpectedly in Oaxaca and pays Guido a visit.  Why did he come? Luigi says he couldn't  ignore the business knowing that a Mussi had been killed off. Guido tells him to quiet down so Nonno cannot hear him. By the way, Guido is worried about one of the workers named Gil who has disappeared.  Luigi says making sure Gil will not be bothering them is no problem. What Guido needs to be worried about is Nonno's insistence on hiring a master mezcal  maker.  Guido nods in agreement thinking that a master mezcal maker could ruin his plans.

We see the hands of a man making two birthday cards.

At Blanca's, Dani is in her room with Gabriel's ashes.  She collects their wedding photo and other mementos and sits with them as if at  a shrine.  Blanca comes in with a letter from Robert and Julieta that they gave her to give to Dani.  It starts out that "There are few times they have felt so helpless as right now without telephone or cell phone service.  A letter cannot express how affected they are  with the news of what happened to Gabriel.  They would like to be with her in these moments but they want to tell her even though every thing is black, light always appears and she is a light herself. She has to be strong  for  her babies because they need her a lot and are going to be her strength, her guide and her motivation. Her children are going to be who helps her through these difficult times.  They know Blanca,  Imelda, Eugenio and Linda are with her and they will be by her side too, as soon as they can. She can count on them. As soon as the phone transmission starts working again, they will call her. She needs to remember that they love her a lot and Gabriel ,wherever he might be,  will always take care of them.  With all of their love, Julieta and Robert."

This was a nice transitional episode but my beanie was strapped on extra tight.

More mañana!

Jarifa, thanks for this excellent recap. I've said it before, but I'll say it again, you're a real trouper. If you have the manual handy check to see if there is any maintenance due on your beanie. You wouldn't want it to develop a problem right now.

I have always been a fan of Pancho, but I had my doubts that he and Susana would make a good couple, and right now he keeps forcing less than bright ideas on her, and pushing her on things, such as another child. I don't think he's making enough of an effort to see her side of things. Neither of them really needs another child, though I don't see that it follows that he should get a vasectomy.

Why should they all live in his apartment? I guess the show wants almost everybody in the Córcega house so all can interact and occasionally clash.

How cute.

:-p

Robert and Julieta were the core of this TN early on, but now silly stuff like their letters from Africa is just, well, silly stuff.

andy

Didn't Blanca say that Robert and Julieta GAVE her the letter for Dani? It sure looked like it, with just her name written across the envelope. So how could they have written it from Africa where the communication systems (Internet, cell phones, etc) are down and they will call her once they're back up? Couldn't they just have called her from New York as they HANDED the letter to Blanca? Oh, well, yup, beanie time.

Could it be that the mescal "expert" will appear soon ... in the form of Gabriel Soto?

Thank you for your recap, Jarifa. Yes, this was a nice episode and very watchable (my new standard for MMTMF. lol)

And I learned a new word, thanatology. Who knew?

Eugenio keeps coming up with valid excuses to not tell Blanca about his Alzheimer's, so my CrockPot Theory©️ is that Blanca will figure it out when he has memory lapses.

Wouldn't it be nice if Luigi started blackmailing Guido?

Oh, forgot to mention how well Daniela's grief is being shown. Bless her heart, she has this on top of postpartum hormonal changes. That could easily throw her into depression.

The babies look old enough to go home soon.

Doris: I hope the Protagonists show up soon.

Wow Jarifa, I just keep thinking of how difficult it will be to handle three babies, even with tons of help. Feel sleep-deprived just thinking about it. To handle unspeakable grief and loss AND post-partum fatigue if not depression is a TALL ORDER indeed.

Ditto for Pancho's crazy idea to wedge two families in one little apartment and then he still wants another Panchito. Lord have mercy!

Glad your beanie was on extra tight Jarifa. You did a great job so keep wearing it (and maybe you should sleep in it!)

Never understood why some people want to have so many kids.

Andy, I better find that manual! Pancho also has adult children we never see from his first marriage in “Una familia con suerte”. He probably has granchildren we are unaware of. Nope, he doesn’t need one more when Susi said no. Ah, the intricacies of continuing with the same character from one novela to another. LOL

Anon, YES! Blanca said Robert and Julieta GAVE her the letter to give to Dani yet they wrote it from Africa where the lapses in communication infrastructure is leaving the incommunicado. That is when I had to check the fit ofmy beanie. I thought it must have gotten loose. It made it sound like Blanca and Dave were coming from Africa but weren’t they supposed to be coming from New York?

doris, I sure agree with how well Dani’s grief is being portrayed. I always enjoy your Crock Pot theories.

JudyB, maybe they need to style a special “sleep in” beanie! What do you think? I cannot even begin to imagine three babies at once. Sunny but frigid here. We are getting into “real” January winter now. Endless snow and extreme below zero temps on the horizon but it is brilliantly sunny today. 🌞

Jarifa..sunny and about 37 here .

Pancho has enough children and enough problrms...basta. How old is Susana supposed to be? Late 40s?.she has a grown son who went through medical school and an internship . Really , Pancho? You think it would be a good idea for her to have another baby?

Thanks, Jarifa. I'm still skipping out on watching, but I'm avidly reading the recaps. IIRC, Pancho has two adult daughters, one adult son, and Temo from his first wife and the twins from his second wife: total six kids.

I don't blame Susana one bit for wanting to close up her babymaking shop, especially after the big age gap between Axel and Sebas. Plus, both her kids have been difficult ones, until lately. But I see Pancho's side too. All his kids have been joys and helped him surmount his pain. He's the type of guy that should have a houseful of kids. But everybody living together in his small flat right now is whacked. Temo should put his foot down too. A teenage boy shouldn't have to share a room with his little sister.

39 and sunny here

Niecie, thanks for filling us in on the number of children Pancho has and with whom. "Whacked" describes the living arrangement perfectly.

Isn't Pancho somehow swimming in money? They could probably afford a larger place. I smell a plot propeller. 🤔

Pancho can afford any place he wants but nobody but Susi and his kids knows that. I think he just likes his family close and cozy.

Another excellent recap, Jarifa! I breathed a sigh of relief when Dani turned down Guido's offer to fix her dinner. Whoa, Gabriel Soto in the pictures of him they've been previewing is really buff!

Yes, SpanProf, Guido's offer to cook for Dani was super creepy. Gabriel Soto will be a nice diversion.

Sorry I am so late today.

Loved the title Jarifa. Just great. As always, you captured everything perfectly.

I'm glad that the clouds of utter despair are dispersing a bit.

Still, Dani is suffering so cruelly my heart aches for her.

"Eugenio says he felt like a dog who had been left behind by its owner. Hermoso barks" sort of tugged at my heartstrings.

Favorite scene? The stroller for three. What fun that looks like! Happy Pancho and Susana will be god parents. Susana is such a comforting soul and I love how she calls Eugenio brother.

"Everything will be for Gabriel's grandchildren. Guido just stares" made me smile in delight. Getting lower and lower on the food chain each successive day. Soon your abuelo won't even know you exist.

Pancho asks for love and peace. Good luck with that. And please put me with everyone else in that Susana doesn't seem to want more children and after all, it's her choice, isn't it?

I think Gabe's a comin' muscles and all. Sigh.

Jarifa, thank you for another wonderful recap.

Diana

Diana, this Susana is very different from the one we met at the start of this show.

Susanlynn, she certainly has! As she is my favorite, I cringed seeing her so cold and unempathetic. But her veneer is rubbing off and the true heart is emerging.

She has already made such a difference in her newly found family. And hiring a nurse for Dani was beyond...

Diana

Diana, ITA about Susana not wanting more children. A vasectomy could be the perfect wedding gift.

Susanlynn, Yes, Susana has changed for the better. She is much more likeable now being so much more human.

Diana, Susana Gonzalez is my favorite telenovela actress. I also liked Lucero , but I have not seen her in a telenovela in quite awhile.
