Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia, Capítulo 103, Thursday, February 7, 2019; Destiny Leads Neto Back to Grecia Again!

We open with Neto and family shivering in the park. Yolo says, “Are we going to sleep in this park, really?” Finally Neto has had enough. He is going to go back to Pancho and ask for more help. Pancho takes them in asks Temo to make them some hot chocolate, and says they can sleep in the living room. The twins come in and do not look pleased. Yolo says she doesn’t think she can sleep there and that anyplace is better than there. Temo says to Yolo, “Well there is the door!”

As everyone is drinking their hot chocolate, Susana comes in and asks, “So what is going on?” Pancho tells Susana that Neto and family will stay in their living room tonight. But Susana has a better plan. She suggests that they all go to her house where Grecia and her mother are at. She calls Grecia to let to let them know that Neto and family will be arriving tonight.

Ari and Temo are arguing concerning Ari’s commitment toward him. Temo is very jealous. Ari asks Temo, “Do you really think that I would have gone through all this with my family if I didn’t love you?” The whole thing ends up with Ari asking Temo to leave and “I’ll see you later.”

Inside the Córsega apartment, Imelda tells Eugenio about her relationship with Mássimo and asks for his approval. But she wants to keep the information quiet for now because she hasn’t told Tulio or Audifáz yet. Eugenio says to Mássimo, “The only thing I care about is that you do not hurt my mother. She has suffered through a lot with my father.” Eugenio gives his blessing. Imelda says their relationship is built on respect and absolute sincerity. Eugenio also adds that if Mássimo doesn’t hold up his end of the bargain, that he will cut his hair! (As he threatens anyone who won’t behave.)

In the kitchen, Dani is painting an alebrije and tells Blanca she is really going to have to work hard to support the three babies. Blanca tells her that is what family is for, to help her out. They both sit and talk then Blanca talks about Frida going through so many changes and she is afraid that Frida will become rebellious. Dani says that is not going to happen as Frida is a good girl.

Neto and family arrive at Susana’s house by taxi. The children marvel that the home looks so large. Neto just asks for them to behave themselves. He rings the doorbell and who shows up to answer, but Grecia! They both look at each other and exclaim, “You again!!!” They bring up the fish story again and finally Neto explains to her why the fish was so important to their family and how it represents hope to them. The scene changes to a scene in Miami from Thanksgiving past and how they had red snapper for dinner in their new home. They remember how they all gave thanks together. Yolo remembers how she missed her mother then, but was grateful to her father for what he provided. Grecia is touched by the story and realized then that you never know what kind of significance there is for someone else when fighting about something.  Grecia also says she will take care of his children but Yolo says she doesn’t need it. She assures him that she is a teacher and takes good care of children. Finally they introduce themselves to each other before Neto leaves to go ask for his job back.

At Pancho’s Susana and Pancho are in bed and Susana brings up how their living together isn’t working out because of the lack of space. She tells him that it is his pride that keeps him from moving to her house. She explains that it’s normal for couples to have differences. He heard her call him “macho”, but that is not what she meant, all she meant is that he postures himself as somewhat macho. Pancho says he doesn’t want to look like a “kept man” either. Then she lets the anvil down, she says she can have her mother come live there. At once Pancho says “NO” and accepts her offer to come live at her house.

They then approach Temo and ask him what he thinks about their entire family going to live at Susana’s house. But Temo is very against because he wants to stay in the apartment building near Ari.

Ari comes to see Temo and asks if they can talk. He doesn’t want to be angry with Temo. They make up and end with a hug. In the hallway, Audifáz sees them and scowls.

In the bedroom of Linda and Dani, they talk a little about Guido and getting to know him better. At the same time, Mássimo and Guido discuss Linda Córsega and perhaps how Guido can get closer to her and get to know her. Mássimo says that Córsegas are good and noble people.

At Hugo and Diana’s place, Hugo laments about how he might lose his job as school director if he can’t figure out who was responsible for the incident at the school that caused all the belching. Diana reflects on how she contaminated the food at school herself. [Now this is a new reflection, but I think some of us were anticipating this was the case.] She looks down at what she was writing but doesn’t care.

Neto goes back over to the restaurant to ask for his job back and gets it back. He pleads with the owner that he can really help with the restaurant operations and help him to make a better profit. He thinks he can help with have a new menu and more kinds of cocktails. The owner decides to give Neto and second change. Then Neto meets Luigi who has brought the new Amore mescal. They decide to give it a try and Neto mixes up a cocktail with a piece of fresh fruit. He gives a taste to Ramón the owner who says it tastes very mild. Neto tastes it next and says, “As my name is Ernesto Rey, this mescal is watered down.”

While Blanca and Eugenio are in bed, Blanca is talking about “the tragedy.” But then Eugenio goes into a panic and is nearly hallucinating going back in time when Juan Pablo was lost and missing.  No matter what Blanca says, he doesn't understand that their son is back and is fine. She takes him out in the wheelchair and their daughters come out. Eugenio is insisting on going to the market to find Juan Pablo. Frida says that “it’s advancing or getting worse.” Then Blanca knows something is up and that her family is hiding something from her once again. Blanca is upset that the family hid this from her. Finally Eugenio admits he has Alzheimer’s Disease after his episode is over. Blanca nearly falls backward in shock, as though she just heard that Eugenio has a week to live.

Neto’s children, Grecia, and Crisanta get to know each other better. Yolo asks for shampoo and conditioner but is very annoying asking in English. Grecia asks for her to say it in Spanish. Crisanta asks if they are hungry and offers to feed them sandwiches and cereal. Yolo says she does not like Mexican food. Crisanta looks heavenward and asks God to give her patience. Yolo tells them they are there in Oaxaca because their father was deported from the United States.

Pancho and Susana continue talking with Temo, but he is adamant about not moving. Then Susana makes a hard decision. This is getting too difficult and she now sees this as a mistake. Susana decides that they will no longer live together and she and Sebas will move back to her place.

Thank you, Cynthia. I am sitting here with my coffee enjoying your entertaining as always summary of the action. Your title was perfect!

Yay! It was a single episode last night.

I liked that we had some background in Miami with Neto and the red snapper.

Yes! It looks like there were some on the patio who had solved the mystery of the “belch attack” before it was revealed. Congrats to the patio detectives whoever you may be!

My favorite line of last night was Temo telling Yolo where the door was when she complained twice about having to stay at Pancho’s. Everyone should treat her like that she treats others instead of as politely as they do. I like Temo and he should not have been “shushed”.

Finally Blanca knows the truth about Eugenio. I am so glad that revelation is over.

I cannot wait for tonight!

Thank you for the excellent recap Cynthia.

Terrific title and screen shot.

It would have been best if Blanca had been told about Eugenio's condition before she had to see it in harsh, cold reality. While I understand the reluctance on the part of the children, it really was Eugenio's place to tell her and he should have. Silence wasn't sparing her, it exacerbated the pain.

It took a lot of courage for Neto to go back to the house from which he was banished. Susana is infinitely kind. I also think she made the right decision to go home herself. It wasn't up to Temo to dig in his heels and refuse to leave. I had to smile though at the little angry face and frown Pancho gave him behind Susana's back.

Jarifa, I also liked the history of the fish as well as the fact Neto quickly caught on to the watering down of the mezcal. But I'm annoyed he went back to that terrible restaurant and owner.

More fun to follow.

Cynthia: Thank you for the recap. Good Job!

Jarifa: Wake me up when law enforcement agencies catch Guido.

Cynthia, thanks so much for the recap and lovely screencap. Haven't seen this yet, but in the episode I did watch where Neto and Eugenio were talking in the hall, I was struck by how much their facial features resembled one another. Great casting. Neto could definitely be Eugenio's son.

Any diagnosis of Alzheimer's is devastating. It's a horrible disease and it's all downhill. They're certainly piling on the disasters in this "comedy".

Will look forward to seeing Neto and Grecia re-connect tonight. Incipient romance between two good-looking people is always fun.

Thank you for your recap, Cynthia!

Was it our Diana who had the crockpot theory that MMTMF's Diana was behind the belchfest? Whoever it was . . . well done!

Cant wait for lunch so I can watch.

JudyB., yes, their facial characteristics are similar as well as the curly hair. I think they did do a great job casting this.

Thank you for this recap, Cynthia, it was a fun read and a nice episode.

Thank you also, Jarifa, for yesterday's. I missed the episode and only got to read the recap late.

I had considered Diana as a possible culprit in the belching attack, but decided that she would not do such a thing. Oh, well.

I agree with "our Diana" that Neto should not keep going back to that same bad restaurant. It's not the only restaurant in Oaxaca and the owner is a hot head. But perhaps Neto thinks he can shine more in a place that really needs some help.

JudyB, I'm another one who is looking forward to a little romance between Neto and Grecia. We need more enjoyable stories in this novela after all the murder, loss, and causes for PSAs they have served up. I really feel bad about Eugenio, and there isn't a lot the writers can do for him now, no miraculous cure or recovery.

Thank you , Cynthia.

So with Susana moving back home plus her house guests Grecia, Neto, and kids, It will be a full house. Neto and Susana are half siblings?
I just want the recappers and commenters to know that for the last 4 months I have been doing mostly things I don't want to do and thinking about things that I don't want to think about. Therefore, I appreciate stopping by here at the patio for some distraction . Thank you , all, for some moments of calm in my days.

I can't believe I was right about Diana! And it still seems a bit out of character for her--no matter how mad she is at the school and at Hugo.

Andy, you know howcit is in these Novelas. There is only one bar, restaurant, doctor, psychologist, Hospital etc. Too bad but also too funny. At least there are two dress stores with Imelda and Crisanta but probably not a third.

Susanlynn, glad the patio can offer you some distraction when you need it. It is always great to see you here.

Susanlynn, we always look forward to your visits. Our patio always feels warmer and more "real" when you stop by and let us hear about your day and your challenges.

Thanks everyone for your comments. It was an enjoyable episode. I particularly liked the part where Neto recounted what happened at Thanksgiving in Miami when they had Red Snapper. I was a little surprised by not shocked to find out that Diana had contaminated the food. I know some of you here on this patio were suspicious, but did some thought stopping and said to myself, “She would never do a thing like that, would she?” But yeah, I guess she is that angry that Hugo was appointed and she was fired. I hope someone outs her very soon and that Hugo dumps her.

It’s sad that Eugenio has Alzheimer’s but not the end of the world. I’ve been dealing with my mother’s dementia and confusion for years now. And yes, she has big blocks of memory missing and doesn’t know why. It just takes patience to deal with her. In fact, she is a nicer person now because she forgot a lot of bad stuff that happened in the past that she was holding on to with anger.

Well we could have told Susana that moving in with Pancho to a small apartment would not be for the best and lead to frustration. Maybe if they finally do get married they can buy another home together.

Temo needs therapy. He is way too insecure. He is so insecure that he won’t leave the building where Ari leaves. Insecurity leads to fights in any couple and causes the other to distance him or herself from the insecure one. I’ve always found that the insecure one ends up trying to be the control freak in the couple which is never healthy.

I loved Crisanta calling Yolo "consentida." Cris might be the person to straighten out Yolo. #toughlove

Massimo's relationship with Imelda is built on respect and sincerity, but not HONESTY.

I'm so glad Neto tasted and said the mezcal is watered down. They need to move that subplot along.

Susanlynn - it's always nice to see you stop in at the Patio. (((Hugs)))

We went from almost 80° yesterday afternoon to 28° this morning. Roller coaster weather!
