Mi marido tiene más familia Monday 2/18/19 Capítulo 110 Here Comes the Bride--OR--Guido the Skulker

Dani tells the babies that from today on she will make sure they are happy for their father's sake. She still loves Gabriel as they all do.

Time passes: the plans for the wedding continue, Imelda goes to work, Dani does her grief therapy, Blanca records more videos,  the kids are going to school, there is more agave field work at the distillery, Ari and Temo are still together as Yolo watches, the bakery is busy, Ari gives piano lessons, Dave plays soccer, Linda is feeding Guido chicken soup, Guido plots, Nonno is happy with Neto,  Robert and Julieta have a video chat with the Córcega's, life goes on, etc.

Sebas asks Susana if she's nervous because of the wedding. She admits to being very worried but excited. She is happy her family and her best friend Grecia can be with her. She couldn't ask for more. She is thankful to them for supporting her and letting her have a second chance at love. They make her so happy. Time for a family hug.

Pancho tells the kids that he is going to have another wedding. Julio and Lupita are going to be his little pages. Lupita is all happy because what they asked their mother in the letter actually happened. Julio says Pancho won't be alone and will be really happy. Temo says he's been the best dad they could have asked for. He deserves it all.  Pancho says he owes it all to them and for him to be completely happy, his children have to be with him. Family hug #2.

It is Susana and Pancho's wedding day. We never see Susana's dress; only her mouth and eyes, and one soft focused glance at her face. Susana's family tells her how beautiful she looks in her wedding dress. Crisanta says she is as beautiful as her mother. (Ha, Ha)

Julio and Lupita help Pancho get ready. Julio combs his mustache. Eugenio is also there to help him out and to "cut his mustache"  if it is needed.  They all laugh. Pancho is shaking like jello. Temo tells him to calm down; it will all be okay because he is marrying Susana. Yes, they all will go to the wedding in the Burra. La Burra is a part of the wedding party.

Eugenio and Blanca are so proud to be Pancho's godparents.  Blanca has an idea for Pancho. He really needs to tell Susana ALL of his secrets so no old loves "pop up" here or there. Eugenio gives her a look and she looks back. Pancho admits to having had several loves in his life, but Susana knows about them all. He is ready for his wedding.

Susana  asks Sebas and Axel give her away at  the church. She wants them to do that because it is one of the most important days of her life. Susana is so nervous she doesn't know what to do. Grecia tells her to just scream. Susana does and feels much better.

Linda and Dani are with the babies getting ready for the wedding. Dani wants to know about the lasrt lab results. Linda says the doctor wants to talk to her.  Linda reminds her to keep it between themselves.

Guido is with a Luigi taking a tour of a house that he likes.  It is just his style so elegant and refined. He starts thinking of changes he would make. It has a large kitchen. Guido thinks the garden is great. Luigi says it is big enough for even five dogs. That is not for Guido. He hates dogs.

Imelda, Tulio and Audifaz are in her room.  She is in no mood for Susana'a wedding with everything that has gone on. Tulio says they should put in an appearance  because she is their sister. Neto will most certainly be there since he is a friend of Pancho's.  Tulio thinks the easiest way to get to the bottom of it all is just to do a DNA test. Audi agrees. Imelda says that is not so easy because she will have to confess  to Eugenio that she knew that Yolotl left Oaxaca pregnant. When Juan Pablo went missing, she felt like she was being punished for letting Yolotl leave pregnant without taking the time to prove if the child were a part of the family. Tulio thinks that is even more of a reason to go since Eugenio might get confused considering his illness.

Neto is working in the fields lecturing the workers on sugar development in the agave plant and how it relates to producing mezcal. In his mind, he tells his mother that they will fulfill their dream of having their own mezcal.

Yolo is not happy with her dress for the wedding. It looks used to her.  The twins tell her there is no time for that. She starts to moan again about how much she hates living there and how their lives are not going to change.  She talks about leaving after her three week limit and going it alone. The twins try to get her to calm down.

Frida talks about her dress with Lupita and Julio. Ari and Temo have matching shirts with a  heart shape across the front formed by a small cross stitched pattern.  Temo tells Ari that his father is nervous  so he told him to calm down because he is marrying the person he loves the most.  Ari calls Temo inspirational. Ari says just imagine in if it were he and Temo (tying the knot. )They both giggle. Ari says it seems like Sebas and Julio are getting on better. Temo wonders how that will be when Susana and Pancho are married and decide where they are going to live.  Ari hopes Temo doesn't move out of the building.  Julio is still up for more pranks. Ari says he better let that go. Dave is bothered about what Guido said about his parents. Ari agrees that there is something there.

At the church, Pancho arrives in La Burra. He is dressed in a white jump suit compete with cape and embellishments. (He looks like Elvis from the 70's.) He dances and he struts his stuff to the church with the kids and Crisanta. Dani tells him everything is under control. Julio tells him to breathe because if he doesn't, he will never be able to say "I do."   He keeps looking all around trying to see Susana. He cannot wait to see her. Blanca offers to call Susana.

Neto arrives at this house with wedding outfits for the whole family and new glasses for Andi.  Yolo says she doesn't need anything because she has a dress on already.  Neto got them some Oaxacan fashion. Yolo makes a face at the top he bought her. He tells her that he got it so she would fit in.  The twins are happy. Yolo finally gives in and agrees to wear the top he bought.  She then has to tell them how she doesn't like weddings because they are not real. Marriages never last a lifetime. Neto explains that just because he and her mother couldn't make it work, doesn't mean that marriage cannot last a lifetime. The boys are thankful for the clothes and Neto's effort. They love him a lot. After Neto  hugs them, Andi asks if Neto is going to wash up before they leave. Neto asks if he smells. The answer is a little bit . . .

As Neto and his family and Grecia  are rushing to the church, Neto and Grecia literally run into each other. Grecia remarks that even today they had to crash into each other. Neto smiles and adds he didn't see her because she is so very small. She says he needs to open his eyes because not everyone is as big and muscular as he is. Uh, oh, she said what she was thinking. They start trading insults flirting all the way. Santi and Andi enjoy the interchange. It turns out she is Susana's godmother and Neto informs her he is the "godfather of the ring". and shows her the ring box. She thinks that it is ironic because he doesn't have a lot of what is in the box. He disagrees since he does have more than enough of love. She thinks that is a place to start from. They both smile. Andi wants to dance with Grecia as well as Santi.  Yolo is aggravated especially after having witnessed her father and Grecia flirting.

Diana has been trying to get Hugo moving and out of bed and to the wedding. He doesn't feel like doing anything let alone partying. He is so ashamed because he has lost his purpose. Diana looks guilty and sad.

Everyone is waiting for the bride to arrive outside of the church. Pancho sees Susana arriving and wants to go see her. Blanca tells him he has to go inside the church so he doesn't see her and be the recipient of bad luck. He lets himself be convinced.

Susana arrives in an antique car with Sebas and Axel.  She is dressed in a modern style lace dress that has been embellished with traditional Oaxacan style embroidery. Everyone applauds when they see her.

Guido is at the apartment building with a locksmith who he has told how he locked himself out of his apartment and how the dog needs to be fed.  He also asks the locksmith to leave him a copy of the key. He also asks that he not tell anyone because his family would be so angry with him if they found out that he could have left the dog dying of hunger. They would kill him. He encourages the locksmith's agreement with extra cash. Guido keep a look out as the locksmith works.

The ceremony begins. Frida is the flower girl. Next it is Pancho and Blanca, followed by Neto and Grecia. Finally it is the bride with Axel and Sebas carrying her train.  Susana is surprised when she sees Pancho's outfit but when he strikes a pose, she smiles and laughs.

At the altar, Sebas tells "Papancho" that accepting him wasn't all that easy for him but Pancho showed him that he loved his mother so now Sebas loves Pancho.  Axel asks that Pancho takes good care of their mother and makes her happy everyday. Pancho declares that that is how it is going to be. Susana cries and hugs Axel and Sebas as she thanks them both.

At the altar,  Susana is visibly upset and remarks that Pancho picked a pretty unusual suit. He said he picked it to be different from all  the other grooms because she is the most beautiful bride in all of Oaxaca and in the universe. She smiles. The wedding ceremony follows.

Back at the apartment building, Guido has made his way into the Córcega's apartment.  Hermoso comes out and barks at him. Guido tells Hermoso that it was his fault that he said out loud that he had killed his parents. So now Hermoso is going to die just like when he killed his parents for everything they did to him. Hermoso takes off and hides under the table.

Back at the church, Blanca speaks about love. Neto looks  at Grecia past his children and she looks at him back. They keep glancing back and forth during the ceremony which is not lost on Yolo who is clearly annoyed by it.  Next, all four of Pancho's and Susana's children speak on their wishes for their parents n this new marriage.

In the kitchen, Guido puts some poison in Hermoso's rawhide chew bone. He gives the bone to Hermoso as a peace offering. Hermoso sniffs the bone.

At the church the wedding vows come next.

Guido tells Hermoso to bite the bone and he will see Gabriel again. He knows how much he misses him. Hermoso is just about to bite when they are disturbed by a humming Audifaz who has let himself into the apartment. Hermoso barks and Audi says he is only there to collect some of Blanca's leftovers. Guido stays in the kitchen.

Susana and Pancho deliver their personal vows. Pancho says Susana made him believe in life, love and himself again. For Susana Pancho was the piece of her life that was missing and who made it possible for her to get close to her children and find a balance between her personal and professional life. She also mentions that he has brought three wonderful children with him with whom they will build a new family.

Audifaz makes his way to the kitchen as Guido hides under the table. Hermoso keeps barking. Audi picks up the rawhide bone and wonders where it came from and who gave Hermoso permission to have it. It is bigger than the dog. He places it in a ceramic box on the counter. Audi is going to heat some   food up in he microwave. Hermoso is barking and Audi tells him to stop but he keeps barking. When the food is hot,  Audi sits at the head of the table as his due. Guido is left stuck now under the table.

Linda is watching the triplets. She congratulates Dani on the wedding event.  Everything is just beautiful. Gabriel would be proud of her. Dani thinks back on Gabriel.

The priest finally come to the line "If there is anyone who thinks that this man and this woman should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace" and a young man suddenly appears at the back of the church as if on cue. He looks around like he has made a mistake, smiles and leaves. Pancho says for moment he thought it was Vicente. The ceremony continues and Sebas sings "Ave Maria".  Susana and Pancho exchange rings and the customary marriage lasso ceremony follows.

Still at the table, Audi tells an absent Blanca that she is still the best cook in all of Oaxaca. Hermoso keeps barking. Audi asks the dog what is wrong with him.  Why is he barking so much? Just as Audi is going to look under the table the phone rings. Guido has called the Córcega's. Audi goes to answer the phone. Guido sneaks out from under the table. When Audi answers the phone, there is nobody on the other end. Guido hides in the hall. Guido says the fleabag will not be saved.

Finally, Pancho and Susana are declared husband and wife. There are applause. Can Pancho kiss the bride. They kiss to more applause and cheers.  They leave together laughing all the way with flower petals all over. Local entertainment awaits them outside the church where the reception is taking place. Pancho and Susana dance and kiss.

A very enjoyable episode with the wedding and Guido up to no good. I loved Susana's dress. I was hoping Hermosos would have bit Guido when he was under the table hiding. The real fleabag is Guido!

Thank you, Jarifa, for a great recap of a great episode. I know telenovela weddings are often something special, but this one was especially special.

Elvis Lives!     :-)

Susana was absolutely beautiful, as was the look on her face when she first saw Pancho at the altar. "Susana is surprised when she sees Pancho's outfit..."
Jarifa, you have a way with understatement.    :-)

And what a woman! She actually went through with the wedding!     :-)

More when I recover...

andy

P.S. I tried to restrain myself from overusing smileys, but it wasn't easy with this episode.

:-)

Andy, the more smileys the better. It just was that kind of episode.

Excellent Jarifa. Once again the recap was beyond.

“Guido the Skulker” – perfect. He reminded me of Gollum, crawling on his belly, murderous intent in his eyes. While relieved Hermoso had a reprieve, I am afraid that the bone will reappear. Ack. I am never happy to see Audi but at least he saved Hermoso. This time.

Your writing is a visual treat for the eyes, especially “…one soft focused glance at her face”. Lovely.

I missed the first half but managed to see the wedding. Yes, Jarifa, Elvis certainly did have something very similar to what Pancho wore. “Elvis Lives!” indeed andy! I was surprised and not in a good way. It was important to Susana that he look elegant, I think it was little to ask.

Ahhh, the DNA test. “Imelda says that is not so easy because she will have to confess to Eugenio that she knew that Yolotl left Oaxaca pregnant”. The sooner this sin is confessed, the better. Imelda’s reign of terror must end.

I have a feeling that when Diana confesses the truth to Hugo (and I think guilt will drive her to it), her and Hugo's marriage may not survive.

I hope Neto and Grecia’s romance heats up a bit.

Crafted with your always exceptional care Jarifa. Thank you!

Diana

Thank you, Jarifa, for your recap!

I cannot wait to see this episode, and am really looking forward to the 1970s Elvis suit. I saw Elvis love in concert, back in 1974 when he wore that white suit, and I have seen it at Graceland.

BTW, Patio peeps, If you ever have the opportunity to visit Graceland, do it! I rolled my eyes at the idea of going that first time, thinking it would be corny and hokey, and I have been back once or twice since. I would go again if given the chance. It really is special, even for lukewarm fans like me!!!

Andy B - 😊😊😊😀😀😀😃😃😃😄😄😄🙂🙂🙂 😍😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 (I'm taking one for the team - LOL)

Jarifa: Wake me up when Guido gets his Karma & anvil.

Diana - at least Pancho didn't wear his Big Bird suit, although that would have been more dignified and ... elegant ... than Elvis. 🤷‍♀️

Diana, I have ALWAYS loved Pancho but was put off, also, by his Elvis outfit. Susana was clearly not asking too much of him. He coudln’t give up being the center of attention this once? Anyway that could be a BIG problem. Great comparison of Guidoand Gollum.

doris, yes, it was the 1970’s Elvis look. I have heard only great reviews of Graceland from friends but have never gone myself. I never was an Elvis fan but would go if I ever find myself down in Memphis.

Jarifa - you left out the fact that we had a shirtless Neto working in the fields. Thank you Telerisa! 😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩

Did Pancho and Susana ever work out where everyone was going to live? Life has been hectic here so I'm a bit distracted, and may have missed that.

Susana's QTH look in her face upon seeing Elvis at the altar . . . and she recovered very well.

Susana is a beautiful bride. Love her dress!

I guess we can all be a bit selfish, but Pancho seemed determined to have the last word on his "luke" and I thought that was quite unkind Jarifa. It's really the first thing he's done that I haven't liked.

doris, yes, let's concentrate on Susana. The woman is beautiful. And that Audrey Hepburn swan neck! Ack. Mine is more like Uncle Fester's - barely there :)

You have to laugh. If you don't have humor, you're done for...

Diana

doris, it looked like Neto was sort of sunburnt on my tele, too. ☺️

Diana, nothing truer said about a sense of humor. 😊

Jarifa, thanks again. I am definitely going with your title "Here Comes the Bride", the rest of it was fluff and nonsense, or unpleasantness, such as Guido going into the apartment. BTW, was Audi going to heat the whole bowl? Wowser.

Pancho is a really great guy, I think we are mostly in agreement about that. But Susana marrying him has me scratching my head. He's a great guy, but he's also a screwball. And perhaps slightly controlling, too. That business of them all living in his apartment, for instance. And now his Elvis look.

Sheesh! He could have talked to some people about what Susana would have liked to see at the wedding.
And how often do people get married with no idea what the bride and groom will wear anyway?

I hope Susana can straighten Pancho out a little bit now, even though it's better to marry someone you want to live with "as is". But I suggest she talk to Diana for some advice, and to borrow some whips and chains. (Hugo's wife Diana, not "our" Diana... well, what do I know? Maybe our Diana too :)

:-)

andy

Here comes the bride! Wow. Surprised that she didn't run out of the church when she laid eyes on Pancho. Still can't see this romance, but whatever. Happy that I will have some more views of Neto shirtless and some flirting to enjoy when I finally get to watch this come dinner time.

Agree with Andy, it's better to marry someone you can live with "as is" and clearly that will be the case with Pancho. Fasten your seatbelts!

Thanks Jarifa. Always a pleasure to read and always a pleasure to check in with the patio.

Great job Jarifa! This is my favorite where you wrote: "He dances and he struts his stuff to the church with the kids and Crisanta." And I thought he was going to wear a dark suit! At least that is what I was led to believe last Thursday, when I saw Blanca shopping with him at a men's store. Well, at least his outfit matched Susana's dress in the colors. Susana's gown had those pretty embroidered colorful flowers. I think they matched the "bling" in Pancho's outfit.

Guido has me angry again. And this time he wants to kill a dog! What benefit would it be to him to kill poor Hermoso. I want Guido exposed already!

Thank you, Jarifa.

I hate the Guido storyline....creepy and stupid.

Susana looked beautiful. I loved everything about her...the gown, the floral headpiece, the bouquet. She is a stunning woman. Susan Gonzales reminds me of Caitronia Balfe, the Irish actress who plays Claire in Outlander.

Oh one more thing: When Blanca was reciting words about love, I believe she was reciting from the Bible at 1 Corinthians 13, called "The Love Chapter."

Andy, I, too, wondered about Audi maybe eating The whole bowl. What a leech!

JudyB, Neto was sure toiling in those fields! :)

Susanlynn, yes, I see the similarity between Susana Gozález and Caitronia Balfe. I think it is in the delicate bone structure of their faces.

Cynthia, thank you for the Bible verse information.

Thanks, Jarifa. Late to the patio but want to give my appreciation before attending the reception tonight. Hoping he changes out of the Elvis gear for it. I loved my visit to Graceland, but Elvis didn't wear a sequined jumpsuit when he got married.
