Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia, Capítulo 120, Tuesday, March 5, 2019; Yolo throws another tantrum; and Pancho to the rescue!

We open with Ernesto receiving a phone call; he thinks it’s going to be Yolo, but it turns out to be Ariana, his ex wife who abandoned him and the children. “Why are you calling me? Did you run out of money?” says Ernesto. Ariana says not to insult her she just wants to see her children. “I just want to see them and hug them, I’m their mother, Ernesto.” Of course Ernesto says NO and tells her that he doesn’t want the children to suffer anymore. “You are selfish.” Says Ernesto and then he hangs up on her.

Yolo and Guido lay in bed fully clothed and Guido tells Yolo that he can’t stop thinking about their kiss together. He kisses her again. Guido wisely stops before things get out of hand and tells her that she is not of age. So he leaves her there to sleep and says he will see her for breakfast. Yolo says, “Thank you for everything.”

Blanca and Eugenio try to figure out what to do about Polita as Ari is in tears. Blanca asks what happened at the party and Ari says he and Temo came out as a couple and everything went wrong after that. Temo offers his financial help, but Ari rejects it. Blanca swears they will get the money somehow.

In jail, Polita thinks about good times with Ari and Arqui and how happy they were. She laments that she failed them.

Pancho and Susana are at home and talk about how to speak to the children for those difficult times about the facts of life. Pancho says he can talk as a father to Sebas and answer all his questions. But Susana adds, “Not everything.” Then Pancho leaves the room.

Temo comes in the house and Susana notices something is very wrong. He shares with her what happened and she tells him that he can count on her because she wants to be his friend. Finally, he tells Susana about the situation with Polita. She gets up and says they have great lawyer and can pay her bail money. She says this is very serious and grave. But then Temo gets extremely upset and says she can’t because Ari won’t have it and we have to respect Ari’s wishes.

Grecia sees how upset Neto is and asks what is wrong. He lies and says it’s just because he’s frustrated that he can’t find Yolo. [Not because of his ex.]

In the hallway, Audi and Ari come face to face. Audi tells Ari he is bringing Arqui over to visit with his mother. Then Ari gives him the bad news, that his mother is in jail because she has been accused of fraud because of this juice business. Of course Audi is very upset.

Grecia is still receiving mysterious phone calls and she keeps remembering her attack.

Sebas discovers he has very stinky feet!

Julio has a nightmare (brought on by the horror movie) about a scary clown chasing him through the house. He can’t sleep so he turns his light on.

Pancho returns to speak to Susana after Temo leaves the room. He wants to know what was going on with him, but Susana told him that she told Temo that she would keep it private. They go on to other things, such as the beauty contest Pancho wants to have for Oaxaca to market Cklass clothes. He gets really excited about it as Susana listens. Then she stops him with a sign that says “Alto” (stop) and says that they both need to follow through with their decision to keep office talk at the office and not at home. Susana says, “Do you know what I’m in the mood for?” Pancho gets excited and comes closer. She says she would like a massage before they go to sleep. So he lovingly obliges and escorts her upstairs.

At the Córsega apartment, Frida is brushing her hair when Linda walks in. Frida tells her that she wants to wear her hair a certain way—she wants it like Yolo. But Linda is not pleased about this and tells her she is pretty on her own and doesn’t have to look like anyone else. Then she tells Linda that there are two boys she likes, Santi and Andy. Linda is surprised and has to let Frida know that Santi and Andy are now family. She tries to tell Linda that she and Axel were together, but Linda tells her to remember how badly that one turned out to be.

At Catalina’s place, Hugo and Tavo get into it and Catalina tells them to stop! She says they are all adults and they can find a way to get along and enjoy each other’s company.

Diana is at home tearfully trying to write apology letters to Hugo. But she keeps wadding them up and starting over again.

Neto keeps trying to call someone, but gets a message saying his called is being transferred. Finally he calls an “Agent Mayorga” regarding the whereabouts of his daughter. He wants his daughter found asap because his daughter is his life.

In the morning, Julio is like a zombie because he did not sleep at all. Pancho tries to get him to speak but he won’t. He doesn’t know what to do. Susana interrupts him and says he is needed in the living room right away, it’s urgent. Susana tried to find out what is wrong with Julio. She lovingly listens to him about the horror movie and is very motherly toward him. She tells him she will talk to his father about how the horror film affected him.

Pancho comes out to the living room and is very surprised to find Audifáz. Audi explains that he knows there has been disagreement between them, but this time he really needs help. Audi lets Pancho know that Polita is in jail and needs help now to pay bail. He promises to pay back the money and with interest.

At the event that Daniela has set up for Blanca, they have a good crowd there, Blanca’s fans have come to hear her speak. Blanca remembers all the times that Julieta has encouraged her to become her own woman and be successful. In her speech, she thanks her family and mentions that her sister in law is having a crisis. But in these times of crisis, we are to support each other. She receives a standing ovation.

At the jail, Polita’s lawyer informs her that if they can’t come up with the money for her bail, then she will be transported to the women’s prison in Oaxaca. Polita looks at the end of her rope and Ari is devastated, looking hopeless. Ari says he will find a way, but Polita asks “how?” with no money?

Yolo and Guido walk out of the hotel together in the morning and Neto sees them together. He is hopping angry and says, “What are you both doing here coming out of a hotel?” He looks at Guido and says, “What the hell were you doing with my daughter?” But Guido stupidly says something like, “You can’t talk to me that way. Remember, I’m your boss.” [Guido, you don’t want to say that kind of thing to a father who would have no problem tearing you from limb to limb if he suspects you have illicitly been with his teenaged daughter.] “So what am I supposed to think when I see you coming out of a hotel?” Guido says he saw Yolo last night and asked if she needed some help. And Yolo says that is true.

Yelling now, Neto says to Yolo, “Where have you been all night? I have called the police, I looked all over for you, I called hospitals and I called you but you didn’t respond!” Guido decides this is his time to slither away and politely tells Neto that this is their time to have a father daughter conversation. He turns to Yolo and says, “You know where to find me if you need help.” Neto just scoffs and shakes his head. He turns back to Yolo and says, “This is the last time you have this kind of a temper tantrum where you don’t return to sleep at home.” Yolo says, “It wasn’t a tantrum, and this is not my home. I’ve told you a thousand times, I do not want to live in Oaxaca!” Neto says, “So I’ve told you a thousand times as well, you are under age and you are still my responsibility!” Yolo retorts back, “For weeks I have been MISERABLE! For weeks! I just came to this hotel so I could have one night of peace.” Yolo then she says, “So if you want to be so responsible, I guess you had better pay the hotel bill.” [Say what??? SMH. Why didn’t Guido pay it? He’s the one who set her up there.] “Fine” says Neto. But after this you are going to work to pay this back. And you will pay the consequences of your rebellion.”

Pancho has a stern talk with Audifáz letting him know that if he doesn’t change his ways, not only will he lose his son, he will lose his entire family. He goes over to get his checkbook.

At the event that Blanca is speaking at, she is a smashing success. She gives a wonderful motivational speech and tells the women that they need to believe in themselves and be their own cheerleaders. She tells them to not let age or others stop them from their own success in life and doing what they would like to do.

Neto is walking with Yolo and tells her that she needs to end her relationship with Guido. She says, “Relationship? I barely know him!” Then he tells her will take her to school but after that she is grounded forever. Yolo rolls her eyes again and scoffs.

As Pancho is in the office writing that check, Susana comes and tells him about how Julio was unable to sleep last night because of his nightmares caused by the horror film. Then Pancho says he is going to help Polita. Susana tells Pancho that is what she planned on doing too, but Temo made her promise not to tell Pancho. Meanwhile, she is going to stay with Julio as he is not going to school. Then Sebas says he is not feeling well either, so they will both stay home.

Blanca continues with her speech now talking about food and how food is love. Also food in a man’s stomach is the way to his heart. Food brings people and families together to participation in their joys. She ends by saying, “Whenever you have difficulties, just put salt, pepper, and love into your families. The group wants Blanca to compose a recipe book. Daniela and Linda think it is a great idea and they will help with pictures. Eugenio looks proud of Blanca and tells her to do it.

Polita cries inside the jail, while Ari and Temo are outside looking very sad together.

Even Imelda takes her rosary and is praying for Polita and prays for her lawyer to find a way to free her. She confesses to God how she paid off the judge and hopes God will forgive her for that, but she never wanted anything bad to happen to Polita.

Again, Temo asks Ari if he can help, but Ari turns him down. Temo says, “Your mother’s freedom is in play here.” Finally Ari consents for Temo to call his father, but Pancho is already walking in. He tells the boys that Audi came asking for his help to borrow the money to get Polita out of jail. He hugs both boys and says they will all be alright and all move forward after this. Audifáz watches in the background while Pancho hugs the boys.

Comments:
Thank you, Cynthia, for the wonderful read and insightful commentary.

It looks like there is no new episode next Monday because of the two hour gran final of “Amar a muerte”.

I am so glad I wasn’t the only one who noticed that Yolo told Neto to pay the hotel bill because I would have thought Guido would to have had to pay in cash or credit card when they checked in. It is hard for me to believe that the room could have been occupied but not paid for. Beanie time?

Sorry but way too late for that hypocrite Imelda to be playing for Polita. She should not have even bothered. She was more than annoying.

Yeah, Audifaz wanted a “loan” from Pancho. Pancho would never see a penny if he had to collect from Audi.

Poor Sebas of the fetid feet!

The highlight of the episode was Blanca and her fans cheering for her. It could not have happened to a better character.

On we roll!

Cynthia, excellent recap and screen shots. Thoroughly enjoyed so many lines including “Guido decides this is his time to slither away”.

Of course I also loved “[Guido, you don’t want to say that kind of thing to a father who would have no problem tearing you from limb to limb if he suspects you have illicitly been with his teenaged daughter.]” Most excellent as was “He lies and says it’s just because he’s frustrated that he can’t find Yolo. [Not because of his ex.]”

There were a few lovely scenes last night. Susana hugging and listening to Julio and comforting Temo in his torment. Blanca being embraced by her family and fans, remembering to thank Julieta for her love, support and encouragement. I have to add though that seeing those flashbacks, while I enjoy most of what is transpiring now, I still miss Julieta and Robert!

I also liked the fact Ari finally listened to Temo and agreed to let him call Pancho for help.

While relieved Audi went to Pancho, he is still on my “list”. And Imelda, praying the rosary did not garner my sympathy, but my contempt. (Jarifa, I was getting ready to post when I saw your comment that mirrored mine. Self-righteous hypocrite.

Jarifa, "fetid feet". :)

Yolo as selfish as always, not concerned her father was worried sick. I hope Neto confides in Grecia, I don’t like him keeping his ex’s call a secret. Likewise, she needs to tell him about her stalker calls
.
At least Polita will be home soon.

Thank you Cynthia. This was great.

Diana

Cynthia: I'm more confident Yolo will NOT be long for this world because she has no clue Guido is a murdering psychopath.

Diana, so funny but so true that Audi is still on your “ list.” He is on mine, too. If we were to make a “list” it would be pretty long for this novela especially if we combined season 1&2. Lots of nasty people with some more apparent than others.

Jarifa: The producers are milking this BIGLY.

Cynthia, thank you. Another excellent recap with helpful and fun comments in red.

I don't know what to make of the hotel bill thing. It's hard to imagine they checked into a nice hotel with no luggage and just walk out in the morning. Well, maybe... Pee-wee Herman and the teenybopper princess. OK, she's not quite a teenybopper, but she's certainly not an adult.

The beginning of redemption for Audifaz?

I loved Blanca the celebrity. And Susana has really developed as a character. Her persona was quite unpleasant when she first started with the show, but she is now a very nice and warm person, and with great comedic facial expressions.

This TN can be fun even if it causes me to spend a lot of time performing preventive maintenance on my TN beanie.

Thanks Cynthia. I too always enjoy your comments in red. And I just imagine your voice going up a couple of octaves in indignation, outrage or surprise as you wonder, for instance, how creepy Guido blithely saunters out of the hotel in front of fortachón father Neto. And dang! I wish Ernesto had torn him from limb to limb. What a dreadful character, although kudos to the actor for making him so believably abhorrent.

Today has been busy but hope to watch at least parts of this later on. I find my overall mood is better if I fast-forward through certain elements of the story, ahem. But happy that Blanca continues to shine.

Thank you for your comments everyone. I'm very busy today with learning my new job, so I don't have time to look in on you all till I go to lunch.

Judy: I hope Blanca continues to shine too!

Andy: I hope this is the beginning of the redemption of Audifaz.

Diana: Yes, I agree that Susana being so tender and loving with Julio and Temo was a very high point in the show. The character of Susana has sure morphed into a much more lovable character.

Jarifa: I loved the standing ovation for Blanca.

Well, hopefully Polita gets out of jail tonight. :)

Oh one more thing: Those of us who have raised daughters--well in my case, my daughter on her worst day was never as bad as Yolo. How in the world did Yolo get so darned spoiled? Now I know why in ancient times families used to marry off their daughters at the age of 14. Who wants to put up with all that back talk and eyerolling?

Cynthia, your historical perspective has given me a good laugh.🤣

Indeed. I often have thought too of that age-old tradition of putting young men to work at age 13. Anyone who has lived with a teen-aged boy lying around his room all day playing video games might well long for the good ol' tribal days.

Cynthia...ha...good point. Likewise, my two daughters were usually very sweet and respectful...not always the case with the teen girls in the big high school where i taught...lots of eye rolling . Teen boys were often easier for female teachers to deal with.Teen girls can be catty.
