Mi marido tiene más familia Friday 3/15/19 Capítulo 127 Moving on Ahead with Guido and Ariana

In Nonno's office, Neto wants to know what Ariana is doing there. Her response is to the point: she needed to see her family. Neto cannot believe that when she HAD a family and she lost it when SHE abandoned them.  Is she trying to pretend that nothing happened?  Ariana only wants to see the kids and tell them she loves them in spite of all that happened.

Yolo goes to see Hugo to apologize thinking that a nice apology will get her her phone back. No way. It is his job to enforce the rules. She will not get her phone back for 24 hrs. Yolo uses the old "it's not fair" reasoning and finally resorts to begging. She wonders how she will contact Guido. Hugo throws her phone into his desk drawer. If she wants to talk to her dad, she can use his office phone.

Luigi asks Guido one more time if he is sure that he wants to do something agains the kids. It could endanger his inheritance.  Guido couldn't care less. He cannot stand two kids in the group and one of them is Temo.  His revenge will end up hurting all of their families. Temo's death will affect everyone.  Guido smiles just thinking of it all.

Neto calls Ariana incredible just showing up as if she had not hurt them all before. Ariana insists that she is not asking for the impossible.  Neto thinks it is too much. Why didn't she come back sooner?  Ariana explains  she wasn't ready and didn't dare show her face.  It took a long time to even decide to talk to him. Neto adds it has been too long a time since he and the kids are starting a new life. She doesn't understand what he is doing in Oaxaca. Why did he leave Miami?  Neto avoids answering those questions and asks her how she ever found them.   She thinks back on Guido telling her this was a gift. Ariana says it doesn't matter. What is important to her is what is going to happen after today.  She wants to talk more with Neto. She is very much alone. She is very sorry for having left them. She was stupid for leaving her most valuable possession behind. Neto accuses her of doing it out of greed because money has always been more important than anything else. She agrees but now she wants to fix her life. Neto cannot and does not want to keep talking to her. He is at his work. He asks her not to show up there again. He also asks that she not go seeing the kids until he can talk to them first. Ariana informs him she will be staying in Oaxaca and gives him her phone number to call her. Neto is upset.

Dani pitches launching the new commemorative mezcal at the "Flower of Oaxaca" event. Nonno likes their idea but they will have to put the pressure on Neto to create the commemorative mezcal because  it can take  months to create a new mezcal.   Dani starts to cry thinking of Gabriel  and how happy he would be to see how the distillery has grown. Nonno brings up wanting to make the triplets his heirs. Dani refuses to accept his money. She doesn't want money just "given" to them. It is enough that he is allowing her to work at the distillery. Nonno gives in. Neto comes in apologizing for having to use Nonno's office for a personal matter. Neto will work with Dani as Nonno leave to see Imelda. Nonno wonders who that beautiful woman was. Neto says it was his ex wife Ariana.

Diana goes to Hugo's office to pick up her personal items from the office. He informs her that all of her belongings were taken by the janitor and she can get them from him.  Diana only wanted to say goodbye to the school and also to him. Diana explains she is leaving Oaxaca. She knows Hugo doesn't want to be with her and she has to find work. Hugo gulps at the news.

Temo video chats with Diego about how excited he is for his date with Ari.  Ari comes in while he is chatting with Diego.

Diana is ready to start fresh now that she lost her teaching license as punishment. She wishes Hugo all the success he deserves. He can go back to their house. He doesn't want to go back there. She gets it. Polita comes bouncing in all smiles and interrupts the interchange. Polita offers to leave but Diana says there is no reason for that because she is leaving.  Hugo tells Diana that he was hurt by what she did to him but he never wanted to see her unable earn a good living.  Diana nods and leaves.   Polita discusses enrolling in the "Open High School" with Hugo.

Ari takes over the video call. Diego tells him that he has won Temo's heart and that he has never seen Temo so happy.  Diego is only going to ask him once: Is he going to taker care of Temo?  Ari says yes, he promises to take care of him.   Diego says "nice" and with a big smile, he tells them both to have fun.  But then Diego has one more thing to tell Ari before he ends the call. If he breaks Temo's heart, he Diego and the rest of Toluca will make Ari pay.  After the call ends, Temo asks  Ari if everything is okay. Ari says of course it is. Nobody will rob "their" day from them.

In Blanca's kitchen, Linda is telling Blanca and Eugenio all about Julieta, Robert and the kids.  Blanca wonders how Julieta is going to react when she finds out that she has even more family.  They won't be telling them about Neto until they are back.  Linda gives them good news. Linda has never seen Robert and Julieta so mature and united  as they are now. They also miss the whole family and are eager to come back home.  Linda is not sure when they are coming back exactly. It could be weeks or months but they did send them something.  The Oppas  have sent them a poster stating that they will return!  Blanca and Eugenio are all excited. Eugenio makes sure that she didn't tell them about his illness. Linda says nobody said anything. The Oppas will have a lot of new discoveries when they get back. Eugenio looks worried.

Hugo explains to Polita that through the "Open high School" many people are able to finish high school. Polita says that she would do anything for her kids.  Hugo thinks she is a great example.  Hugo will set up a schedule for her and gives her her books.

Back at the distillery, Neto tells Dani all about his ex and her abandoning him and the kids.  Neto doesn't want to lie to his children but he doesn't want her seeing them either.  She doesn't deserve to see them after what she did to them.  Dan can understand  but asks him to think it over carefully. No matter what mistakes his ex has made, she is still their mother. Neto nods as he cries. He knows he has been trying to avoid the inevitable. He thanks Dani for listening to him. It is good to have a sister.

All of the kids have met at the apartment building. Sebas' fetid feet problem is over. His mother took him to the doctor who gave him some really good ointment so his feet will not stink. The kids all laugh and joke around. Linda appears on the scene and sees that Axel is there, too.  They all beg her to go along on Ari and Temo's outing. She agrees. The kids all cheer but Linda is not a happy camper with Axel there.

At lunch, Neto  tells Yolo and the twins that he has something to tell them.  Their mother has come looking for them. All three of them are shocked. Yolo is very excited and wants to know where she is and wants to see her. Neto tells her to calm down. Yolo has a thousand questions.  Neto tells them that their mother wants to see all of them. Neto goes on to impress on them that he loves them, with his whole heart, he would do anything for them and wants them to stay united just like they are now.  He tells them that their mother is in Oaxaca.

Guido is with Luigi in a van. Luigi is driving. Guido has been trying to call Yolo to let her know that her mother is back and doesn't understand why she is not picking up.  Luigi smiles and reminds Luigi that he can get into big problems because Yolo is still a minor. Guido insists he has proof (recordings and messages) that he has done nothing wrong. Luigi  only wants to be sure Guido doesn't make a mistake because feelings can betray you. Guido insists he feels nothing for Yolo.  This whole "romance" is to make Neto suffer. Luigi just smiles.  Guido remembers kissing Yolo.

Pancho gives all of the kids the "rules" before they all go on their "Ari and Temo" outing: no talking to strangers; stay together "united"; call him if there are any problems, do not do anything dangerous. Axel tells Pancho to relax; no worries. He and Linda will take care of the kids.  Audi appears wondering what is going on. Ari explains he is going on a date with his novio. Pancho explains that all of the kids are going on an outing together. It is all under control.

Susana wants the social outing with the Korean investors to go off without a hitch.  She tells Catalina  that it will be at the bar where Neto works. She wants the best appetizers, a little mezcal and music.

Blanca asks Polita how things are going with her "love". Polita tries to clarify that her lawyer, or whatever he is to her,"Eduardo" told her he loved her. Blanca asks how Polita feels.  Polita honestly does not know. Right now, she would like to concentrate on her children, her work and finishing high school. Blanca thinks that Polita deserves a personal life, too. She deserves to feel loved and taken care of.  Polita is surprised Blanca would ever tell her something like that. Years ago she would have told her to go back to Audi.  Blanca admits that now she  realizes how many mistakes Audi has made and his ideas are from past centuries. One has to change with the times. She also knows that now Polita is a free woman.  Polita is grateful for Blanca's support.  Blanca volunteers to help Polita study for her English class. The joyous mood is broken when Audi appears at the door. He would like to talk to Polita

At Neto's, Yolo wants to see her mother right away. Neto would like to put the brakes on the process by giving them all a few days to  "get used to" the idea. Yolo wants to see her now. She has waited years. Santi says yes, he wants to see his mother. Andi is ambivalent. Neto gives in and  will  talk to their mother so she can see them. All of the kids want some answers form their mother.  Yolo wants to ask her why she left them and where she went.  Neto has to go to work but he will get a meeting with their mother organized. He asks if they trust him. The twins say yes. Yolo slightly nods.

As Guido and Luigi watch from their van, Pancho loads all of the kids in La Burra.  They all sing La Burra song braying along with each other as they drive to the site of their outing..

Guido is with Luigi in  the van following La Burra. He is all happy and excited thinking of knocking down all of the  kids like bowling pins in a strike. He wants to sing "La donna è movile" from Rigoletto to get into the mood.  They have two clown masks with them. Guido sings loudly. Luigi just shakes his head and joins Guido in song.

Polita explains to Audi that he has hurt her a lot and his children even more. Audi knows but he was only trying ti be true to his convictions and his beliefs the way he was taught by his mother.  Polita agrees that his ideas and beliefs hurt others a great deal.  Audi is not denying that. That is the reason he is there. He asks for her forgiveness.  Polita cannot forgive him yet. Audi can understand that and hopes that someday she will be able to. Polita asks if he will love his son unconditionally. There is silence.  Polita stipulates that when Audi can love without imposing conditions, then they can talk. Polita goes back in the apartment and cries.

Grecia goes to see Neto at the distillery.  Now that they are novios she says they can be honest and say what they think.  Neto asks if she has seen Félix. No, she hasn't. There is no news. He warns her not to put herself  at risk until the situation is resolved. She agrees to call him if anything happens. Neto is honest and explains he is so tense because his ex has appeared out of nowhere in Oaxaca.

Pancho has dropped the kids off at a huge park.  Ari and Temo are going to set up some picnic stuff while the others are going to get bikes.

Back in the van,  Luigi is telling Guido he is not too sure about the plan. It all seems so exaggerated to him.  Guido ignores what he says and tells Luigi to put on his clown masks so he can see what he looks like. Guido sees Luigi with the mask on and laughs saying he looks like something from a horror movie.  Guido points out where the kids are going to come out and when they do, THEIR horror movie will begin.

Temo and Ari  are both nervous. Temo has Ari feels his heart  beating so quickly. The heart never makes a mistake.

Neto expresses to Grecia how much he is worried for his children now that Ariana has found them and that Yolo wants to see her today. Grecia asks what he is going to do.  Neto is going to call his ex but  deep down he really  doesn't want to talk to her. He doesn't want the kids to see her either. He is afraid she will connect with the kids again especially Yolo and take her back to the USA. Grecia reminds him that legally he has the advantage because she abandoned her home and family.  Neto knows that but when it comes to feelings, Yolo was always glued to her mother. He is worried he will lose his kids. Grecia tries to assure him that he won't be separated from his kids. Grecia is there for him.

Yolo is busy cleaning their apartment. It has to be beautiful for her mother.  She believes that in a family, everyone always forgives each other. Andi is not convinced.  Yolo tells him that when their mother comes through the door, the twins will be as excited as she is. The twins help her clean but are not excited.

While folding laundry in her room, Dani tells Blanca the good news about the commemorative mezcal to celebrate Gabriel and Neto's mother Yolotl.  The babies are a the source of inspiration for Dani. Dani is still confused about Gabriel's missing photo. Blanca gets her to put another different one up.  Blanca reminds her that Gabriel is an angel and they don't need a photo to remember him. Dani says she likes looking at a photo of him every morning. Blanca tells her she needs to go with whatever is going to bring peace to her heart.  Blanca asks what is going on with Carlos. Dani hasn't talked to him because they haven't had a doctor's appointment lately. Eugenio comes in to see his grand-babies.  He tells Blanca that Neto found out that Audi was also in love with his mother Yolotl.

Back at their picnic site,  Ari has a surprise for Temo. He blindfolds him and tells him this afternoon will be magical.

Of course, my favorite part was Pancho and the kids singing and braying in La Burra.

More mañana!

Jarifa, thanks once again for a great recap. I agree with you that the singing and braying in La Burra was great fun, but this episode had more than the usual amount of fun in it.

It didn't take much to clear up Sebas's foot odor problem. The Scourge of Oaxaca finished off by a little foot cream. Hmmm...

Ariana is very good-looking. Grecia hasn't even seen her yet but, to me anyway, looks worried as well as being supportive of Neto.

Axel and Linda, together again. What could possibly go wrong?     :-)

Guido and Luigi, what could possibly go right?

Ari and Temo, Temo blindfolded... Gee, guys, starting right off with 50 shades of whatever?

:-)

andy

Thanks Jarifa. Always enjoy your recaps. And hmmmm...Andy, so you read the book? Well whatever.

this:

"Sebas' fetid feet problem is over."

Thanks goodness. Best news ever! Don't like wicked Guido, and not crazy about some of the other story lines, but the foot stench PSA was the worst. Not a fan.

Another cool day here, but looks like we might have some sunshine. For Ohioans, that's cause for a major celebration. Especially since our basketball team has already been eliminated from the Big 10 Tournament in Chicago. Tough year to be a Buckeye.

Thanks as always Jarifa. Hope to see this later when the fog in my brain clears.

Jarifa, thank you.

Andy, "fifty shades of whatever."

I cannot stand Guido and Luigi together. Those clown masks were creepy.

It seems that Grecia is quite a bit younger than Neto. She is very petite and pretty , so she shouldn't be worried about his ex, but she will be. I keep waiting and worrying about afraid leaping out from somewhere.

Well, the scenes of cooking in the kitchen are comforting and warm.

Afraid???...was supposed to be Felix.

Marvelous Jarifa.

Every one of your recaps unfolds like a wonderful short story you don't ever wish to end.

Last night Guido seemed totally out of his mind. Insanity interspersed with evil. Luigi must be of similar ilk, although I initially pegged him as a greedy criminal, not someone who would easily mow down innocent children. Wrong again.

“Axel tells Pancho to relax; no worries. He and Linda will take care of the kids”. Really? Forgive me for having my doubts but I seem to recall that Lupita was almost abducted when Linda ran off to see Axel some time ago. This whole outing smacks of disaster. Children accompanying children.

I'm confused about Guido's hatred toward Temo. Wasn't the revenge plot the twins idea? I am obviously forgetting something important.

“Blanca thinks that Polita deserves a personal life, too. She deserves to feel loved and taken care of”. While some characters have sadly regressed (cough, Audi, cough), Blanca proves once again she has grown and blossomed.

"Grecia hasn't even seen her yet but, to me anyway, looks worried as well as being supportive of Neto". You nailed it andy. I would be nervous if the mother of the three children of my new novio showed up, trying to reclaim her family. Grecia is afraid with good reason and that fact mama is gorgeous doesn't help.

Sorry your team lost Judy but happy you have some sunshine to savor.

Susanlynn, I am always trying to figure out what Blanca is cooking. Few things more comforting than homemade soup.

I would really like the Guido storyline to wrap up soon. At the very least, before the return of the Oppas.

Jarifa, you are the best. Thank you so much.

Diana

Jarifa: OMG Guido really wants to kill innocent kids ? WTF is wrong with him ?

Diana: When is the Gran Final ?

Susanlynn: I'm not going to be surprised if Guido kils Zuria Vega before too long.

Judy: I do NOT want to see Dani getting whacked because those triplets would be orphans.

Judyb, whenever you want write about your favorite teams, I remember all the conversations that you and Dr. Carlos had. I sure do miss his wife and wisdom architectures about Belle.

Overcast here today. It went from high 60s yesterday to

...45...and breezy.

Susanlynn, I especially miss Carlos during March Madness, although OSU won't be in it this year. Hope that Baylor is...both the men's and women's teams. Plus I always got a kick out of hearing about Carlos' crush on Muffy McGraw, the Notre Dame women's coach. Just have an ache in my heart when I think of him. And yes, Bonnie Belle, the sassy pitbull. She had her own calendar you know. Quite the princess.

Judyb ...i guess that we never stop missing special people who have touched our lives. We surely had many fun times commenting on these shows. Carlos always loved to stir the pot by being an advocate for the bad girls. Do you ever hear from Sylvia?

I hear from Sylvia once in a blue moon Susanlynn. She seldom has internet access as she is sailing to and fro on the high seas with her nautical partner. A true California free spirit. Well, somebody has to be.

And ah, that sly fox Carlos. Yes, newcomers, especially, used to froth at the mouth as he resolutely defended the wicked gals. And dang if sometimes he wasn't right, and the conniving evil vixen would do an about-face at the end of the story and end up "happily ever after" with a second-tier but decent galan.

Not sure if he'd be advocating for Imelda in this one though. Nor for Neto's ex. We will just have to wonder.

Putting off cleaning the bathrooms, but MUST MUST MUST! Andale Judy!

Excellent recap as usual, Jarifa! From Luigi's questions and facial expressions, I'm wondering if even he thinks Guido has finally gone too far in manipulating Yolo to try to get revenge on Neto and in trying to kill a group of children. Could that be what saves them? Or will Axel and Linda come through?

Thanks, Jarifa. Terrific job. I haven't watched it yet but I'm looking forward to Neto's and Grecia's scenes.

Temo and Ari's first date with the whole gang involved seems way over the top. But the show is breaking new ground.

Where is Tavo? I want him in on Guido's takedown.

Andy, ". . . starting off with 50 shades of whatever." was the best!

JudyB, you and me both are happy that the fetid feet problem is over.

susanlynn, those clown masks really did take Guido and Luigi from just criminal to creepy.

Diana, you are missing nothing. Guido is so twisted who knows how his mind works?

SpanProf, I do not think that Luigi has ever been on board with going after the kids. it seems that every time Guido has brought it up, Luigi tries to talk him out of it.

Niecie, I feel bad for Temo and Ari having the burden of EVERYBODY along on their "date" but as you said, the are breaking new ground. I wonder if they will ever kiss. They have gotten close a couple fo times but no cigar!

Nice day here. No snow. No rain. Sunny and in the forties. Makes me happy.

JudyB, thanks for the info on Sylvia. I have wondered what ever happened to her.

In the 50's today, with some sun! Rats! I'm going to miss winter.

JudyB, no, I never read Fifty Shades of Grey, just too vanilla for me.

But somebody read it. It sold quite well and spawned at least three movies, one of which was critically acclaimed as "...not quite as bad as Fifty Shades of Grey the book. But that's not saying much". [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fifty_Shades_of_Grey_(film)#Critical_response]

But could millions of voyeurs be wrong? Maybe they just haven't discovered telenovelas.

Anyway, back to this TN: what is the story with Luigi? I never paid much attention to him at first. Does Guido have some hold on the guy? Luigi seems to have at least half a brain and half a conscience and would just as soon leave the kids alone. He also doesn't much like Guido. Once, when Guido was berating him for something, Luigi stood there clenching and unclenching his fist. I don't remember exactly, but I think the camera actually drew attention to this.

So, is he in just for a big payday when Guido gets his hands on the family fortune? Arrrgh! Telenovelas are going to drive me mad! (yeah, yeah, I know, a short trip).

How can there even be a family fortune with idiot Nonno in charge? The guy who thinks that Imelda is a hot babe and that Guido will be OK after a couple of sessions with Tavo. And I wish they would bring back Daddy Musi. But that's unlikely at this late date, they had a million chances and no sign of him. I guess he is either otherwise employed or had a falling out with Juan Osorio.

Meh.

andy

Are Guido and Luigi related or just partners in crime? Guido gives me the creeps. I am not going to be able to watch when they don those creepy clown masks.

Susanlynn, they are just partners in crime.

Andy, All I can think is that Guido has $$$ at his disposal and is paying Guido very well. Where does the money come from? His dead parents? Nonno? A trust fund? He never seems to be at a loss for money. He must have a tailor making those matched outfits he wears. Nobody else would buy those retail. IMO he craves the power that happens to come along with a lot more money in Nonno’s case.

Correction: Paying Luigi very well!

Jarifa: Has Univision considered to bring this TV Show back for 2020 ?

Susanlynn: Guido might kill off the entire cast by the time we get to the Gran Final.

Steve, as of now there are no plans for another season of MMTMF.

Plenty of plots set up last week. I cannot wait for tonight. 👩🏻‍💻

OT Jarifa, I finished I'm Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter. Rather poignant book but what made me laugh were the protagonist's constant complaints about the frigid Winter weather in Chicago. You seem to take it all in stride.

Thank you for your recap, Jarifa. I apologize for thanking you and commenting so late. My weekend was busy and I didn't even have time to watch this episode.

Andy - your observations about Luigi are why I theorize that he might be the one who takes down Guido. #fingerscrossed 🤞🏻

Does anyone know when this telenovela will finish up? I'm going to try to join the Patio in watching the daytime one. Try being the operative word.....

JudyB, you make me smile. I think it is all relative. One of my best friends lives in Ottawa CA and I keep wondering how she puts up with the winters up there.

doris, no apologies EVER needed. We are just glad that you are here. It looks like we have this week and three more.

Judyb, New Brunswick Canada had a brutal winter this year..lots of snow and ice.

Jarifa, I have never lived in Chicago but know people who have. From what they tell me of Chicago winters I think that if I can't be in Oaxaca I would just as soon be in New York.

They also told me of the Chicago custom of someone who digs out a parking spot on the street after a snowstorm getting to "claim" the spot. Sounds interesting.

:-)

andy

Andy, you are right. If you dig out a spot, many people put an old chair or some other item in it because invariably someone who was too lazy to shovel out their own spot will take it. It can be quite contentious when one thinks of the amount of physical labor it took to do the digging out in the first place. Glad I do not have to deal with that.

Chicago winters . . . while I was growing up we lived in South Bend, Indiana for three years, ca. 1962-65. Those winters did my parents in. LOL I remember them well because city parks had curbs around their tennis courts and they flooded them for ice skating. I loved it as a kid.... walk to the park and skate! I remember walking to school with an umbrella to shield myself from the driving snow. No joke!!!
Maybe South Bend had lake effect snow and cold from Lake Michigan? IDK but our parents swore they never wanted to live with those winters again. And they didn't.

Jarifa, but aren't those lazy folks sometimes not too lazy to move the chair and steal that cleared space that someone labored to shovel?

You got it!
