Mi marido tiene más familia Friday 4/12/19 Capítulo 146 A Plate Full of Drama with a Little Hope and Hijinks on the Side

In Blanca's living room in front of the whole family, Robert tells Eugenio that he is his son. Doesn't he remember that he came back?  Eugenio is convinced that his son got lost at the market and has never returned. He himself has looked all over Oaxaca and could not find him.  Eugenio adds that everyone in the family has suffered so much because of his son being gone.  The family looks on sadly. Blanca tries to convince Eugenio that his son is back and is right in front of him.  Eugenio now recognizes Robert not as his son but as his father.

Back at the prison, Guido cannot stand to see Luigi's stupid face. Luigi tells Guido "his dear little baby" not to worry. Due to what he testified to in court, his sentence is much shorter than  than Guido's. He will be saying arrividerci soon to Guido to which he  adds a little wave. Guido lunges and tries to attack him but Luigi is stronger. Luigi and Guido are fighting it out as the guards pull them apart and tell them both to calm down.

Back at Blanca's,  Imelda tries to convince Eugenio that he is confusing Juan Pablo his son with his father Canuto. Eugenio cannot be convinced.  Robert tells Eugenio his whole  Juan Pablo story from the day he was lost to the day he returned. Imelda says his father Canuto died a while back. Eugenio disagrees. He sees Robert as Canuto who he waited for forever to bring him his little red car.  He  recognizes Neto as his son Juan Pablo who finally turned up and offers him the legendary red sweater.

At the office, Temo stops by to tell Pancho and Susana he is going to go study in Mexico City.

At Blanca's, Robert is still trying to convince Eugenio who he is with a photo album with no good results. Eugenio knows his father is here and alive. He asks Robert "his dad" for a hug. He tells him that his son Juan Pablo has come back and is tall, strong, and handsome  and is in the living room. Blanca excuses herself to go for Eugenio's medicine

In Blanca's kitchen, Julieta is with Dave and Blanquita talking to Dave about his surgery.  Blanca comes in saying she doesn't want to cry over and over again.  After Julieta sends the kids out, she sobs on Julieta's shoulder.

Robert talks with his sisters in his parents' room as Eugenio rests with his head on Imelda's shoulder. He cannot believe that his dad doesn't remember his return. It seems that everything they experienced together was in vain.

Back in the kitchen, Blanca tells Julieta she had never expected that this moment with Eugenio being so out of touch would happen so soon.  Blanca feels  like she is going to sink when Eugenio isn't aware of the present.  She doesn't want to say goodbye to her husband while he is still alive. How do you say goodbye to somebody who is not gone?  Julieta tells her she doesn't have to let him go but she has two choices to either sink or float.  Julieta looks at Blanca's ring and says she is the new matriarch of the family and that they all need her.  Besides helping Eugenio find reasons to go on, she has to find a reason to live because she has lots of things ahead of her in her life.  Blanca shakes her head not knowing how she can forge on ahead when Eugenio her husband was her support.

Audi tells Neto that he is sorry that his brother Eugenio's mind is clouding over.  Neto says that he sees Eugenio as a father and for now they can do nothing but be strong and united. Audi mentions that at one time there was a possibility that Neto might have been his son and he would have loved that. He next starts ragging on  Temo's influence on Ari.   Neto stops him in his tracks and asks if Audi is the father he should have been.

Ari is all depressed looking at the calendar. Temo is leaving on the 24th.(?)  (That was the day they originally showed on the phone. The day the show originally ended 2/24/19)

It has turned solemn in the office. Temo admits that even though he is not happy being separated from Ari and leaving everybody else behind, there are simply more opportunities for him in Mexico City. Pancho is in tears. Letting a child go is one of the  hardest things to do in life but he will never stand in the way of Temo's dreams.  Susana asks how Ari took it. Temo says he is supporting him. Pancho says "No hay distancia lo suficientemente que no pueden vencer dos almas que se aman." (There is no distance  sufficient that cannot be overcome by two souls that love each other.) Pancho makes it clear that he is saying that not only about Ari but also about himself. They all hug.

Julieta is with Robert and tells him that she talked to Blanca who has to learn to separate what Eugenio feels in his heart from what the illness is making his brain think.  She tells Robert to rest for a while now. She hugs Robert.

Later that evening, Cata, Hugo and Julieta  are at the hospital waiting for Dave's surgery to end.  Hugo tells her Dave is in the best hands. Julieta continues waiting and then Robert comes out to tell them that Dave is in recovery. The surgery went very well.  They will be able to see how it really went in a few days when they remove the dressing.  Julieta is grateful and thanks him.

DAYS LATER . . . .

Hugo tells the graduating students he knows how excited they are but they are having a problem with the hall where they were supposed to have held their graduation and festivities.  The money that they all paid to rent the hall was stolen.  Hugo says sadly the graduation  will have to be cancelled. Ari jumps up and asks how can it be cancelled.

Blanca is at home excitedly showing Eugenio her recipe book. He is the first one to actually hold it in his hands. He is all smiles. It has every single dish she has made in her forty years of marriage.  Eugenio is so very proud of her.  He wants to look at the book with his son Juan Pablo. Blanca explains he is at work at the hospital now. Eugenio says no he isn't; he is in the apartment across the hall. Eugenio asks her to go get him.

At the hospital there is someone at Carlos' door.  It is Dani with the triplets. She is all smiles.

At her shop, Crisanta is so happy with Linda's work.  On the other hand, Linda is so happy to see Crisanta use all of her ideas and promote Crisanta's at her own business. Crisanta is so pleased with Linda's success and also seeing her happy with Axel. Linda is grateful for all of her support. Imelda sees them together and screams at Linda that she cannot believe how she has betrayed her.

Blanca goes across the hall for Neto and apologizes for asking for him to come over because she knows he has to leave for work. Neto doesn't see it as a problem and goes with Blanca. Eugenio greets him as Juan Pablo and invites him to come, sit down and talk.

The time has come to remove Dave's bandages. Robert starts ro take them off as Julieta looks on happily with anticipation.

Back at school Ari is telling Grecia it isn't fair. Temo says somebody put the money in a bank account so  then what could be the problem?  Grecia explains that two boys Zack and Ben (bullies from earlier in the series)were voted on to organize the event.  Hugo understands how Ari and Temo feel and they will investigate to see if Zack and Ben took the money. If they did, Zack and Ben will be expelled and they will have to pay back every single penny. Grecia says they can reschedule the event. The students are not happy.

Back with Dave, the bandages have been removed. Julieta says he looks really good.  Dave wants a mirror and he is very happy with what he sees. Robert tells him there is still some scar tissue but it will lessen over time.  They can also work on the other scars on his body.  Dave is overjoyed. Julieta reminds him that perfection exists nowhere and that we have to learn to live with what we have.

Eugenio is at Blanca's chatting about Blanca's food with Eugenio.  He goes on about how much Juan Pablo loved his mother's food just like he loved singing the song he taught him under the tree and, also,  his little stuffed bunny toy. Neto asks Eugenio what his favorite dish is. Eugenio says Blanca's chicharrón tacos. Blanca starts to cry.

Imelda is in an uproar and threatens to cut Linda's hair if she keeps trying to hide. Linda tells her lots of luck because she has extensions.  Linda adds that Imelda has never liked ANY of her ideas. Imelda reminds her that is because she is always on the wrong path. Linda brings up Imelda not accepting her and Axel being together.  Imelda screams that they are cousins. Linda adds "DISTANT". Linda remarks that Imelda always criticizes what she does. Crisanta puts in her two cents telling Imelda that she has given Linda the chance to show all of her talent, shine, and make herself famous besides accepting her relationship with Axel.  Imelda thinks that Crisanta just brought Linda over because she is jealous of her marrying Mássimo.  Crisanta says she doesn't need a bum like him to make her happy. Imelda sings "la la la la la" so she doesn't have to hear her anymore.

Carlos is talking with Dani. He hadn't heard form her but had heard from Linda that the triplets had been baptized.  Dani mentions that her brother and wife are now also back.  Carlos knows he didn't contact her but truth be told he missed her; he missed all of them.  Dani smiles.  She came because she also missed her friend.

Hugo calls in Ari and Temo for their testimony about the graduation money. The kids are disappointed with the graduation festivities being cancelled because it will be the last dance before Temo leaves Oaxaca.  Yolo has the idea of having a dance for Temo and Ari somewhere else.  Does anyone know of a small place or hall?  Frida knows that her uncle Tulio has a hall but he wouldn't want Ari and Temo there. Sebas says unless they were to open it so he wouldn't know that Ari and Temo were there. Frida thinks.

Dani realizes that maybe she was exaggerating when she pushed him away and said that she didn't want him to be the triplets' doctor anymore. He has taken such good care of them.  Carlos laughingly says now he knows the reason for her visit. She thinks he is a great doctor. Yes, she thinks he is a great doctor and  also a great friend. Carlos comes closer and admits he knows he was wrong in kissing her but  it shouldn't have cut everything off between them. . She explains that she was in a very vulnerable place with the trial and all.  They shake on a fresh start.

Julieta has brought Dave to work. She wants Susana and Pancho to hear his opinion on her "Time" initiative. Susana tells Dave that Dave looks nice. He thinks he looks beautiful. They all laugh. Julieta asks Dave questions so he can give his opinions on her "Time" project. Julieta says her goal is to find a balance between responsibility and fun.  Dave would just like to get a call during the day from his mom.

The kids want Frida to send a message from Imelda's phone to Audifaz. She is worried about getting caught but agrees to do it anyway. The kids have all of the decorations and lighting ready to go for the graduation dance for Ari and Temo.

Tulio and Audi think they have been contacted by Imelda saying that she needs the keys to the hall for tomorrow. Audi wonders if she needs it for her wedding to Massimo. Tulio hopes not. He thinks his family has crazier ideas every day.

At Blanca's,  Julieta congratulates her on her cookbook. .She loves it. Blanca did it for her family and Eugenio. Blanca asks Julieta how Robert is doing.  Julieta says Robert is very sad since his father doesn't recognize him as his son anymore but he hasn't lost hope yet. Julieta thinks the time has come to get the whole family together so they can share "their" plan. Blanca smiles.

Robert tells tells Eugenio he loves him a lot as he sleeps in his room and calls him dad. He asks him to always remember that. He kisses Eugenio.

The whole family has gathered at Blanca's. Blanca tells them that for today's surprise she has had accomplices: Julieta, Robert, Susana and Pancho.  They have planned  gift for everyone among them. It is something that will change all of their lives forever. Julieta announces that they are all going on a trip together.  They all cheer.  Blanca reminds them that she has had it as one of her goals to take a trip with the whole family.  She tells them they will all be leaving tomorrow.  Where are they going?  Blanca announces that they will be going to the beach!!  They all cheer again. Dani wonders if it is a good idea to bring the triplets with them being as small as they are.Yes! is the answer from Blanca.  Susana is also inviting Grecia and her mother.  There is silence. Imelda says she doesn't care of Crisanta comes along.

Out in the hall, Ari and Temo think that this is turning our perfectly even though their little escape is turning into another family outing.  They both laugh. They are about to kiss when Pancho comes out in the hall yelling "chiflando y aplaudiendo" (whistling and applauding": what is said to kids in danger of getting into  "compromising" activity. Guess you can't kiss if your lips are whistling and your hands can't be up to no good if you are clapping!!)  Ari and Temo quickly step apart. Temo nervously tries to explain nothing was going on there.   Pancho understands but tries to explain how strange this all is for him. He knows they love each other and he wants them to be as happy as possible but he still sees Temo as his little boy. Now he is is all grown up.  He tells Ari to take care of Temo for him. Ari puts his arm around  Temo and says he will.  Pancho asks them for a hug as he cries.

Guido and Luigi are in the same cell.  Guido has become focused on the "lack of air" in the cell.  Luigi tells him it is useless inhaling and exhaling the way he is since there is no more "air." to be had  Guido paces and gets more upset.  He tells Luigi he would have more air to breathe if Luigi weren't here. Luigi asks if he is going to kill him, too.

Guido gets a message from the director of the prison. He wants to see him immediately.  The director is a man with a fedora. He talks to Guido alone in his office. He wants to do business with him.

Dani is not sure if she and the triplets would go. Linda tells her she and the babies can't miss this trip.

Eugenio thanks his father (Robert) for helping him with his suitcase. Blanca is taking more than one suitcase plus  towels? two beach bags? umbrella? sweater? pillows?  More is better.  Julieta and Robert finally say no to the pillows.

Linda encourages Dani. If they get themselves organized  they all can go to the beach. Linda  knows of a good kennel where Hermoso can stay. Dani is still ambivalent reminding Linda that she will be there with Axel.  Linda tells her that this their  first family trip. They will never forget their grandmother's wedding and their parent's vow renewal. Also, their parents need them like never before.

Guido tells the prison director that he can get him a load of money  because he has lots of contacts. The director says now he is talking.  They understand each other. The director asks if Guido has breathing problems. Guido says he has claustrophobia. The director asks how much can he pay to get out of prison.

Grecia is helping them all pack at Neto's but  is really there because they said she "had a date for a gift." The twins nod. Neto says it will be more romantic on the beach. Yolo excuses herself to go walk and think.

Everyone is packing at Crisanta's who is not happy about the trip period.  She thinks the "blonde" (Imelda) will find her a home at the bottom of the sea. Pancho suggests Crisanta use trip to make peace.  That is not happening.

At Catalina's,  she and Hugo are packing for the rip.  There is a knock on the door. It is Diana. She has discovered what happened with the graduation money.

At Polita's, Ari is packing and Polita asks him what is wrong. Ari wants to enjoy the trip as much as possible because after that Temo is  leaving Oaxaca. He is going to  miss him. Polita puts her arm around him.

Diana tells Hugo  she found out that Zack and Ben took all of the graduation money out of Ben's father's bank account and he didn't know about it. Hugo asks how they could do that alone. She tells him that another man who already has been jailed a "Rufo Constantino" was  involved. (We know him: Rufo the music promoter, pyramid fraud schemer and all around conniver)

Luigi sees Rufo arrive at his prison cell and asks why he is there.  Rufo says he was only trying to help people get ahead so they could shine but he didn't do a very good job of it.

Blanca is sitting on her overstuffed suitcase so Robert can zip it closed which he finally does.  Now, Blanca wants to get her knitting needles so she can knit in the sea breeze. Bili reminds Julieta to go to work to finish up the details on her "Time" program so it can be launched.

Eugenio talks to his father (Robert)  about how he taught him and his brothers Audifaz and Tulio to swim. He took them by the hand to guide them through the waves. He recounts the whole experience and tells Robert that the sea reminds him of him his father.

All of the kids are hiding at Linda's business upstairs.  Audifaz asks Tulio if Imelda really wanted them to come up there as they enter.  All of the kids come out and tickle them with feathers and back scratchers until the keys they need fall on the floor. Sebas grabs the keys and leaves. The twins tie Audi's and Tulio's ankles.

Ari and Temo are dressed in tuxedoes. Even little Arqui has to says wow! They arrive at the hall and it is all decorated. They look for their school friends. There is nobody else . The kids all scramble out.  Temo gets a message from  the kids for "Aristemo" to enjoy themselves.  The best of Ari and Temo scenes are shown on a screen. This is their own private celebration.

As the laughing Rey twins have Audi and Tulio all tied up, Yolo tells them just to relax. They are going to give them an exfoliant treatment  to get rid of their old fashioned ideas.

Temo and Ari  have plenty of fruit, chocolate and candy. They start toasting with Kahlúa (they have a good laugh over that one) to their graduation, their history, their basketball team and to one of the best days of their lives.  Ari says they have learned  a lot in school and life together.  They toast to each other the love of their lives. They dance. It is magic. Temo thinks about when he told Ari he loved him to infinity and beyond. Ari thinks back to when he told Temo he brought  color to his life.  They are not waiting any longer.

Well, they are sure setting things up for a good gran final. I cannot wait. I love whenever a story leaves the "set" and hits the road. A beach trip sounds like just the ticket for a fun time. The prison director (wearing a fedora inside???) was a little weird. I sure hope that we don't have a dramatic finish with Guido back on the loose. My favorite parts tonight were Pancho telling Ari and Temo "chiflando y aplaudiendo" as well as the boys realizing that they were going on another "family" outing when they had their own trip planned. That was so funny. Also, I wonder what kind of exfoliating treatment Yolo has in mind for Audi and Tulio. I am sure it will be good. The Eugenio plot was just too sad to think much about.

More mañana!

Thank you, Jarifa! An excellent recap, and then that long list of PSAs, and then the product placement and plugs. Great!

The scenes with Eugenio were not fun. I wish they had done this a little less and more low key.

I get confused about the passage of time in this TN sometimes. I know there was a "después" but I thought it was a short one. How long were Dani and Carlos not talking? She got the babies baptized but didn't invite him? I must have fallen asleep at some point...

Whatever. The end of this episode was a cliffhanger, with Ari and Temo going in for a "real" kiss. I don't know why they make such a big deal of this. Almost nobody cares and they are really not breaking new ground. Well, maybe in Mexico they are, I don't know, but I don't think so. To me it's boring, boring, boring. But it must appeal to some people as, from what I have read, these TNs continually take the pulse of the audience to see what's working and what not.

So I'm sure we'll get some serious smooching between Ari and Temo on Monday. I wish they had done it much earlier and then had them run off together, but no such luck.     :-)

Anyway, it should be a great show Monday.

andy

Andy, Ari and Temo were a big deal in Mexico with the youth and still are. Towards the end of the show “Aristemo the Musical” did a tour and those characters are the only part of the novela continuing on in a spin off tv series. It looks like Televisa is going with the younger demographic. The older I get the more aggravated I get not being in the viewing demographic that matters so I won’t get started . . .

As for Eugenio, it was very disturbing. Nothing like being called the parent by the parent when you are the child. Been there. They sure did their homework to create a realistic portrayal.

The whole passage of time has been odd what with Robert and Julieta being gone for over a year.??? It would have worked better with a whole new season a year later with visibly older kids. I wonder just how long a “después” might be. LOL

Jarifa: I KNEW Guido is plotting one final sinister attack.

Thanks so much Jarifa. I think this was one of your best titles ever! Just delightful. And Lordy, I too hope Guido doesn't get out. Having him on the loose just doesn't bear thinking about.

Thanks also for the cultural information on how this show did in Mexico. Can't imagine a spin off with Ari and Temo, but there you go, I'm not in the target demographic either.

At this point, REALLY looking forward to Doña Flor, since it seems more like an old fashioned romance. Hope springs eternal....

Thanks, Jarifa. I also was interested in the news that AriTemo are a big item with the Mexican youth. That explains the focus on their storyline. I have noticed how much telenovelas have changed. I miss the good old days when I first surfer in to Alborada with all those heroic swashbucklers. Que lastima. This show seems to have wanted to appeal to all generations and preferences.

Well, I have eggs to hardboil for the kids to color for Easter and chores to do. Rained all last night...gloomy today..not a moodlifter.

I really do not want to see Guido in a Speedo on the beach stalking the family. Ugh.

Is Dona Flor going to be a Mexican Ghost and Mrs. Muir?

You're a joy Jarifa.

I read this through without making a single note. Enthralling.

"legendary red sweater" and the lovel "No hay distancia lo suficientemente que no pueden vencer dos almas que se aman" were my favorites.

Surely the saddest moment was “Eugenio now recognizes Robert not as his son but as his father”. And yet “After Julieta sends the kids out, she sobs on Julieta's shoulder” broke our hearts.

andy, totally agree that Eugenio's been through enough. So, is his memory really gone for good if he still thinks Robert is his father? Jarifa, huge hugs to you for having experienced such a heartbreaking situation as well.

A little levity with seeing Audi and his brother tied up by the kids. They never showed Tulio's face. Was there a stand in???

"Neto stops him in his tracks and asks if Audi is the father he should been". Nopis. That said - Neto has also been through too much that the heinous thought that Audi might be his father needs to be banished. Permanently.

Too much Temo and Ari too. Dani taking the triplets to Carlos, still in the friend zone didn't quite cut it. Not invited to the christening??

I'm sad that it doesn't appear this will end on any sort of romantic note. Judy, I'm also looking forward to Dona Flor. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Oh my Susanlynn, Guido in a Speedo would be totally depressing. :) Sadly, I think he will get out of jail and we will be subjected to yet one more attempt at revenge.

Jarifa, your PSA list was incredible. While I had higher hopes on the ending for this, my hopes for the recap have been wildly exceeded. Thank you so much!

Rainy here but oh, it's Saturday so I am happy!

Diana

Maybe Guido in a speedo...with suspenders. Sharing that image .

Excellent recap, Jarifa. You not only gave all the details but also filled in the background context so foggy viewers like me could get it. Love "chiflando and aplaudiendo" and will have to work it into conversations somehow.

Yuck, Guido's still in play.

So Ari and Temo will get a spin-off? I hope they don't continue being like 12 year olds. Are we to believe they haven't even kissed yet and at least gotten to 2nd base? It's tough being a first and having to be so inoffensive to the mainstream. I hope they get to breakout in the spin-off and that Pancho is in it too. Audi they can leave behind.

My chief hopes for the final:

- Lots of Neto shirtless at the beach

- Eugenio having loving moments of lucidity with Blanca and Robert

- Crisanta happy and confident, come to think of it, she already is

Remember, the gran final is Monday 6-8 central time; a whole two hours earlier.

Excellent recap as usual, Jarifa! You picked up a few details that had gone right by me. That Zack and Ben business seemed to just come out of nowhere. We could have used a bit more preparation.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. 73 , sunny, breezy here ....makes doing yard work a pleasure.

"Lots of Neto shirtless at the beach" and "Eugenio having loving moments of lucidity with Blanca and Robert" would be wonderful Niecie although if push comes to shove, I will take the latter. I hope our last remembrance of Eugenio isn't him calling Robert "father". That would be terrible.

Diana

Thank you for your recap, Jarifa, and the PSA list. Osorio must be hoping for some sort of social relevance award at the next Premios event.

Apparently Luigi turned states evidence for a reduced sentence. I'm glad he is not getting off scot-free.still, it is not easy to get a murder conviction without a body. There was a very high profile case here, many years ago, that had a successful conviction and the body was never found.

Linda's hair extensions explains how it grew a foot overnight, a few weeks ago. LOL

Since telenovela tradition ends with a Gran Fin wedding, will it be Axel & Linda? ArisTemo? Ugh....ugh.

Too bad Imelda is still her usual hateful self, but that is realistic.

Susanlynn: I'm getting the bad vibe Guido might up the ante even further by going after Robert & Julieta.

"Maybe Guido in a speedo...with suspenders. Sharing that image" Uh, Susanlynn, maybe there are some things that are better not shared.     :-)

But I had to laugh.     :-)

"Since telenovela tradition ends with a Gran Fin wedding, will it be Axel & Linda? ArisTemo? Ugh....ugh."

Doris, I wouldn't mind Axel & Linda, but I doubt that will happen. Nice would be just Blanca and a lucid Eugenio renewing their vows.

ArisTemo, ugh. Imelda and Mássimo, ugh.

Another telenovela tradition is the villana, or in this case, Guido, making a final attempt to ruin everything, and then... No, I don't want to go there.

:-)

andy

Don’t forget hearing loss...Blanca......PSA

Thanks Jarifa for your very well detailed recap. I also very much appreciate your complete list of PSAs for us to enjoy and think about. I hadn't even thought about how many there were, but I think you covered it all.

The saddest thing about this TN is the Eugenio's dementia. Sometimes I think it's harder on the close family than it is on the person who has the disease, because the close family member suffers with having the loss of the relationship when they are forgotten. My own mother has so many chunks of memory missing now, it's hard to have any kind of conversation. She keeps forgetting she has grandchildren and great grandchildren.

I am so hoping that Dani will decide to have a relationship with Dr. Carlos. If Gabe could appear, he would tell her to go be with someone who loves her and loves the babies. She needs someone to help out with her babies who loves them. And it's hard to find a man like that who is willing to take on a ready made family.

I sure hope Guido does not get out of prison!

Well, I think I finally corrected all of my typos or maybe most of them. You are more than welcome, everyone.

Steve, ITA that Guido being put in prison with a couple of episodes to go seemed way too soon without some kind of a possible comeback. I guess we will have to wait and see on Monday.

JudyB, this show was at the top of the ratings consistently in Mexico and helped Univision beat out Telemundo here with its ratings. With the touring musicalI I read that they also included a Q & A with a psychologist for the audience.

Susanlynn, I really appreciated them including something for every generation in the show. It looks like they succeeded. I sure understand your appreciation of earlier novelas. Guido in a speedo? Yikes! I hope not. I haven't colored Easter eggs in years. It sure sounds like fun with the grandkids. . We are getting (supposedly) accumulating snow here tomorrow. . . not for long though.

Diana, thank you so very much for the hugs .They were so appreciated. I never expected my experience to appear in a novela.
Anyway, I am hoping for a fun trip and a happy ending since there seems to be no plans for another season..

Niecie, I second (or third) your hopes for the gran final. I am so glad that they are doing the full two hours.

Span Prof, the whole graduation "event" itself has been non existent so when this situation comes up with the usual culprits it did seem sort of strange.

doris, I was happy to see Luigi in jail especially knowing he would be out sooner than that rat Guido. I did a lot of reading about the Mexican legal system and was surprised that there are no jury trials and trials seem to move at a much slower pace than this did.

Anon, thank you for your suggestion.

Cynthia, ITA about your take on dementia. It is not an easy road for anyone involved. Your mother is lucky to have you for a daughter. I also agree on your take on Dani and Carlos. Being realistic, I would wonder if she would ever find anyone who loves her AND her children again.

Jarifa: If history is any guide, Guido will target Dani, the triplets & Carlos.

I wouldn't be shocked if he goes after Robert & Julieta as well.

Happy Monday all (sigh) :)

Well, it's 12 hours to the finale and I cannot wait...

I'm so sorry that I won't be able to read the recap and comment tomorrow morning. I have an all day meeting that I have to be in work for at 6 am so it will sadly have to wait until late tomorrow. I know it will be wonderful because Jarifa will bring us the events utilizing her astute, all seeing eye and wry wit.

It's been so much fun being here with all of you. Those that were here the entire time, our welcome newcomers and friends including RgvChick and Kirby popping by from time to time.

If anyone has any doubts how important these recaps are, please let me say that they are all important. First for the enjoyment and camaraderie and of course to understand all that transpires without benefit of Spanish language comprehension.

Thank you Jarifa and Cynthia.

I don't know what's in store tonight but I expect the best. I expect the worst.

What a lovely tribute, Diana, to the hard work our recappers do to bring this patio together and make us into a virtual family watching the show. It takes time, energy and great dedication, and we are all so fortunate to have had Jarifa and Cynthia shepherding us through this. Along the way we have shared our own stories, grieved and rejoiced with each other and soldiered through another day....together.

Thanks Jarifa and Cynthia! You're the best! (And Diana, you are a recapper's dream...always such a careful reader and always so appreciative.)

Judy, as you so eloquently stated, we have indeed "...we have shared our own stories, grieved and rejoiced with each other and soldiered through another day....together."

A community of kindness...

So happy we have one more journey until the page turns...

Diana

Thanks, Diana and JudyB! This has been a pleasure for me but more about that later. ITA about the community that has come to form here. The recap tonight will be up later rather than earlier.

Jarifa: Hopefully the recap has lots of pictures considering it's a 2 HR Gran Final.
