Por Amar Sin Ley, Season 2 Jueves 4/25/19, Episode 32: More Delays

Paula became more and more anxious about Alejandra's condition and whatever decision she might have to make. Lourdes arrived to give her support; Jaime encouraged Paula to go with Lourdes to have coffee. Jaime tried to encourage Ricardo to eat something and get some rest.

The judge announced that since Andres Camacho was not present for these proceedings it was necessary to contact the appropriate authorities to locate him in Austin and present a summons to appear in court. In view of the seriousness of the charges he was not releasing Violeta and Aurora and there would be a new court date. The ladies were upset. Victoria shot them a look to calm down. Violeta said she was worried about her daughter, who would be anxious away from her. The judge said that they would be bringing her husband back to hear his version of events, Aurora said her daughter had done nothing wrong. Violeta begged them to look for Sol. The judge looked like he was thinking carefully about this, then rapped his gavel to dismiss court. Victoria and Adrián went to the holding cell to explain that nothing more could happen until Andres was found and brought to court. She told them that they would continue to investigate and they would find him.

Sofia failed once again at getting Javier to work with her.

Adrián and Victoria still hadn't come up with a possible motive for Andres Camacho's actions, but were worried. They agreed that going to Austin to find him would be more effective rather than waiting around for phone calls and documents. They knew whom they had to talk to to get the necessary information and decided to meet with Alonso about this.

Ricardo went home to clean up and put on fresh clothes. He stared at a picture of Alejandra and “prayed.”

Roberto, Gustavo, and Juan were on their way in talking about the evidence they needed for the arson case while Victoria and Adrián met with Alonso. He agreed that they needed to have Andres in Mexico and Victoria said that it would be best if she and Adrián went to Austin to find him. They could talk to Border Protection and get a destination address from US Customs. Andres had made lots of trips to Austin and there had to be a reason for them. Alonso agreed and told them to have Carmen make the travel arrangements.

Sofia called Ricardo to check up on him and Alejandra's condition. She told him that she and Lorena were handling his cases. [If I were my usual nasty self I'd be wondering whether she still has her eye on him.]

Nancy was invited to a closed-door meeting in Carlos' office. He told her to contact the people she knew in the DA's office to find out whatever she could about El Gringo. She told him that this would not be easy because this information is sensitive and she didn't work there anymore. He told her there would be extra money for this and he considered her very capable. She asked why and he said he had his reasons. Which caused her to stand and ask what this was all about. “Is this about those men with the bags of money in the middle of the night? Are you blackmailing someone? Well, if you don't explain your connexion to organized crime, I won't help you.”

Tatiana paid an unexpected visit to Juan, going on about concern for him after what happened to Alejandra. He told her that Alejandra was in intensive care and her condition was very serious. She went on about taking advantage of being alive, etc., when her demeanor made it very clear what she really meant. Juan listened and looked a bit uncomfortable.

Carlos told her that people who worked for El Gringo were the ones responsible for what happened to Alejandra. She asked “Then it's not about the ones with the money?” He told her it wasn't. She was not willing to risk her life. He was willing to provide whatever money this would take, as it was very important. He also emphasized the importance of secrecy.

Victoria and Adrián discussed next steps and she told him that their flight was confirmed for the following afternoon. He asked if he could pick her up so they could go to the airport together and she told him she wanted to stop by the hospital first. He agreed.

Tatiana got a little too close and a little too much in Juan's face as she took her leave. He looked relieved and a little guilty.

Javier came into Sofia's office with a ream of paper, saying he hadn't found anything new yet but that it could be in the statements by people who were at the club. Police, firemen, employees, customers, and survivors. It was a lot of reading and Sofia insisted they begin. She handed some to Javier, who looked like he resented being told what to do.

Ricardo went back to the hospital and Jaime told him there was no news. Ricardo continued to worry and Jaime had him promise that when Alejandra got well he would take care of her. Ricardo promised him that he would get the people who did this, but Jaime told him to leave that to others. He asked instead that if possible he was to take Alejandra far away and out of danger. Not perfect, but at least he would be assured of her safety. Ricardo promised him.

Manuel and Roberto were talking about law school when Gustavo came in. He told them he had tried calling Ricardo by he didn't answer his phone. All three left to go to the hospital.

Alan was sitting with his feet up on his desk, swiping across his cell phone when Nancy came in. She started asking about what had gone on with Carlos' ex. She asked whether it was an accident and he said it wasn't. She asked if this was about what happened to the other lawyers at Vega and he reacted with surprise, finally telling her that this was all in retaliation from the late Joaquin Dorantes. She said she was worried about their firm getting dragged into it because of the moneybags being delivered to it. That if everyone knew what that was about it would inconvenience them.

Javier and Alonso talked about the attack. There had been crossfire. No evidence that the attack was planned against Alejandra, but there was ballistics information he was waiting for. They needed to know who was returning fire.

Violeta and Aurora talked again about the situation. Violeta was sure that all was well before this happened. The only thing that had changed was that Andres suddenly had much more work. And much more business travel. That was why they talked about a vacation. She then thought that she had become the problem.

Sofia and Javier found statements of people hearing someone telling customers that nobody got out without paying.

Carlos was drinking at his desk when Alan came in to talk. He tried to get Carlos to stop blaming himself for what happened and to extricate himself from these people. This did no good.

Jaime and Paula thanked Ricardo's colleagues for their support. They left. Paula began to lose it as the doctor appeared, saying that there had been no improvement. They were waiting for test results to see if they could go ahead with the operation. He did warn them that things might not go as they expect. Paula begged him to not let anything happen to her.

Sofia and Javier saw in the documents that nobody was allowed to leave without paying. It did not appear that they were ever told about the fire. Javier speculated that they were looking not to lose money from a busy night. This led to the deaths and injuries. Sofia said she would file the documents in the morning.

Juan and Fernanda talked. He wanted to take her shopping and on a trip. She was not interested in big money, but in helping people. He gave her the “seize the day” statement. [When he kissed her he had better not be thinking of Tatiana.]

Carlos and Alan had the argument about investigating what happened to Alejandra. Alan told him to leave this to the police and he refused to sit on his hands and do nothing. Alan was fed up with his obsession and Carlos refused to have the big party until Alejandra was well.

Paula and Jaime had to have that difficult conversatio about worst case scenarios. Alejandra had signed a living will and Paula did not want to talk about this. She almost ran away from him.

UA--I hope you aren't too tuckered out. The Ring requires more attention than PASL, but you gave us a good recap. I'm amazed at your stamina.

You wrote, "She handed some to Javier, who looked like he resented being told what to do." He did indeed. He wanted each to take half of the huge document (400 pages anyone?) so they could get through it in half the time. Sofia thought they might miss something and insisted they both go through it together, starting right then.

With Alejandra, survival could go either way, no? If Ana Brenda doesn't want to do PASL III and wants to leave early, Ale will pass away. Maybe they persuaded her to finish PASL II by giving her a couple of weeks off, therefore, Ale will live.

If Ale dies, Sofia, can legitimately step in to be a comfort to Ric. She can't seem to get anywhere with Javier. I wonder what his backstory is vis a vis personal relationships. Is his life wholly devoted to his job? Makes for a very uninteresting guy.

Does Vega REALLY need to send two single attorneys of opposite sex to Austin? (Well, slap my face, of course they do...1) to make Bobby jealous and 2) to give Adrian time to make a couple of moves on Vicky and 3) to give Vicky time to think whether she wants a steady, reliable, not very exciting, nice looking guy or if she misses the non-physical intimacy she used to have with Bobby.)

Whoever said early on that Tatiana was going to be trouble for Juan is spot on.

Anita: I NEVER did like or trusted Tatiana from the very get-go: her Body Language said it all too.

UA: It's going to be interesting to see if Ana Brenda Contreras will come back for 3rd Season of "PSAL" considering she's also doing CW's "Dynasty" as well.

Thanks UA!

If Alejandra has a will, I wonder what that means for her health decisions? If she has a setback will they DNR or will they save her?

I didn’t remember Tatiana’s name so while watching those scenes I was like “Who is she? She’s getting all up in Juan’s personal bubble.”

Javier is still a mystery to me haha

The Ring starts on Monday for me. I have the photos of Christopher Mason ready for Tuesday's episode and will work on the Candice DeLong ones tomorrow. BTW, she is going to appear at an ID Con event in May. I'm thinking of going, but the ticket is $75.

Tatiana was a witness last season in the investigation into the murder of a stripper named Patricia. Alan murdered her and tried to frame Carlos for the crime. That was in the opening episode. She has the hots for Juan and has caused misunderstanding between him and Fernanda already.

I think that Adrian going to Austin is necessary because he has a license to practice there. Victoria doesn't, but she has it in for Andres Camacho.

Thanks, Urban.

Tatiana treats Juan like a mark, not like she's really into him. She is into the fact that he's generous with gifts and is an up and comer who will have a nice spread one day. She could go back to the club and find a sugar daddy, but why bother when Juan is so gullible. The fact that the husband ran off with their kid should give the judge a clue.

So the judge is keeping a mother and grandma locked up because of the seriousness of the crime? Really? A stolen car is not nice but hardly the worst crime.

Informative recap.

Good imfo comes to Light about the fire in the club. Vick And slick daddy get to travel to USA To find lying hubby.
Nan gets Carlos to sing about stuff in
The firm.
Alan is fed up with cousin carlos' obsession with the ex."No partyin til the ex is Well again". Maybe Alan can go brib the doc to call Carlos and lie to him so he can have the party. yaaah its Party time. Poor stupid Alan.

Thanks Urban
