Ep 46: Part 1 Intrigues and Encounters

Su continues her TVyNovelas-winning performance (Not!) and tells Don L and Pru how all her jewelry and money were stolen. Pru then sees her and Vanesa to their room.

Dami and Marina try to spruce up their little hole-in-the-wall apartment by painting it.

Beto arrives home and Vanesa tells him about their mishap; they will be staying there for a few days. After she asks about Marina, he tells her that he has had no luck, but has hired a PI. As Vanesa hopes that Beto will stay there, Don L approaches and hopes that Beto will stay with his family…the only family he has ever had. Beto isn’t sure he can stay after all the horrible things Don L did to Marina, but then tells them that he will stay for his mother. Beto hopes Don L will keep his word in regards to adopting Marina, but Don L points out that they have no idea where to find her; so nothing can be done.

Angsty is with Pru in her bedroom commenting that it is very convenient that Su had everything stolen just as they came back (smart Angsty!). Pru doesn’t think Su would make up something like thing since Su has a lot of money that he husband left her (not-so-smart Pru!). Beto enters and gives them an update on Marina based on what Lino told him. Angsty isn’t surprised that Marina is doing well.

In their guest bedroom, Vanesa tells Su that she convinced Beto to stay there, but Su doesn’t like the idea since the plan was to get Beto out of the way too. Now it’ll be harder to get Don L to disown Beto. When Su suggests that Vanesa get close to Beto, Vanesa hopes that Su isn’t going to ask her to try to get Beto back.

Pru thanks Beto for staying and Angsty thinks that there will be a better chance of Don L going through with the adoption if he is there. Beto remarks that they won’t be able to do anything until they find Marina.

Dami airs out the room to get the paint fumes out. Marina comments that the cold air reminds her of Beto (COLD!). They talk about how different it is there compared to the countryside.

Doc Mask barges his way into Mago’s house and grabs Yola trying to make her give him info about Marina. Yola tries to fight back and screams until Lino comes in and pulls Doc off of her and punches him down to the ground. Doc leaves as he says that he was only trying to find out where Marina is.

Su goes to talk to Don L and tells him how sad she is to have lost (pawned off!) all the jewelry her husband gave her. She then tells him that what she really wants to talk about is Beto’s marriage and how they should see about dissolving it. She suggests that they report Marina for home abandonment.

Mago goes to see Baldo to ask if he has heard from Dami. When Baldo tells him that Dami called him the previous day, Mago chides him for keeping the info to himself since Yola has been worried sick.

Dami and Marina get comfy in their apartment when Dami notices that Marina is distracted. Marina shares that she wants to look into taking her exams there in the city since she took all the paperwork with her (when did she hav time for that!). Later Marina calls to ask about taking her exams and is told that she can take them there…in Braille.

Erasmo goes to see Yola and reproaches her for not going out with him yet. She agrees to go out with him; so he takes her to a club. Once there, Yola tells Erasmo that he is very nice, but she wants to continue studying to be a lawyer. Erasmo comments that he would love to be in a lawyer’s heart. Meanwhile, Mago tells Lino that he should have gone with Erasmo and Yola…since she will always be his little girl. Lino assures him that Erasmo is a good guy and has liked Yola for a long time.

Ep 46: Part 2 Intrigues and Encounters

Su prances into Don L’s office with Beto’s marriage certificate (which only the couple could get, remember?). Don L is dismayed to see that Marina has rights to everything that belongs to Beto, but when he takes a closer look he sees that Marina’s last name is misspelled (uh-oh!). He needs to confirm the correct spelling by seeing Marina’s birth certificate and he knows exactly who can get it for him.

At the club, a karaoke event is going on, so Erasmo goes up on stage and announces that he is going to dedicate a song to the nicest person he has ever known. As he starts to sing, Yola goes up and sings a love song with him (they both sing pretty well!)

Marina talks to her baby and tells it that it should trust her; she promises to protect it and love it enough for both parents.

Pru is in her bedroom as Angsty notes that she heard her tossing and turning at night. Pru is very worried that they haven’t heard from Marina. Pru wonders how she will be able to adjust to her life since so many things have happened; she even wants to work on her marriage…since he is her husband. Pru would like to be able to forgive him. Angsty hopes that Marina will return and, by then, Don L will hopefully have accepted Marina as his daughter.

Don L somehow obtains a copy of Marina’s birth certificate and sees that Marina’s last name is misspelled on the marriage certificate; he relishes in the fact that the marriage certificate is worthless. Su thinks that Vanesa still has a chance at Beto, but Don L tells her not to give Vanesa any hopes yet…he wants Su to keep their finding a secret for now.

In the bedroom, Vanesa talks to one of her friends as Su walks in. Su suggests that she invite Beto to go out with her. When Vanesa tells her that Beto is very busy working, Su insists that Beto needs to have some fun and Vanesa can make herself available.

Pru tells Don L that she has insomnia because she worries about Marina; though she knows he could care less about her. After Don L tells her that “the woman” will eventually show up, Pru doesn’t want things to continue so badly between them, but Don L points out that she has changed and he doesn’t like the new woman. Pru wants to rediscover why she fell in love with him…because she married him for that reason and she knows he loved her too. Don L starts to go in for a kiss, but then backs away.

Su talks to Doc Mask about Marina and how successful Doc was in separating the couple. Su tells him that Marina came to the city because she refused the DNA test…since she knew that the baby was his. Afterwards, Doc wonders where Marina is, but he at least knows that she isn’t with Beto anymore

Time passes—

Dami and Marina continue working, Marina studies, Beto works, Baldo and Tori move to the city, Vanesa spends time with Beto, Yola and Erasmo continue spending time together, Lino is still hung up on Vanesa, and Marina gets her high school degree and is now about 6 months pregnant.

Marina climbs that stairs to the apartment laboriously. Dami thinks they need to move since Marina can barely climb the stairs.

At the hospital, Beto is on the phone complaining to the PI that he hasn’t been able to find anything on Marina after 6 months of searching. Once he hangs up, Eric tells him to calm down. Beto was hoping that Marina would call him and tell him that she misses him, but Eric points out that Marina has a strong character and very proud…Beto insisting on the DNA test only complicated things more.

Dami and Marina point out to Nico that his business is doing so much better; so he agrees to pay them more…and they can get a better place to live.

Beto and Eric talk at the hospital when Vanesa arrives and they all go out to lunch.

Ep 46: Part 3 Intrigues and Encounters

Baldo and Tori walk along the sidewalk. They comment about how they have searched for Dami and Marina, but still haven’t been able to find them. They enter a market place to look there for the ladies. Meanwhile, Marina and Dami are making sales…when Tori runs up calling out to his little princess. As Tori hugs Marina, Dami looks over to Baldo. Baldo tells Dami that they have been searching them for a while; and Dami is glad to see Baldo. Marina hopes that Baldo hasn’t told Beto that they have been looking for them; Baldo assures her that Beto knows nothing and will not know anything.

Beto, Eric and Vanesa are having lunch talking about how difficult it is to find Marina…or anyone in the big city.

Su is getting ready to go out to the club with friends when Angsty comments that she seems to be in no hurry to go to her own home. Su tells her that she is no one to be telling her anything. She reminds Angsty that her opinion doesn’t count. Angsty knows that Su is only there to try to get Vanesa back together with Beto and reminds Su that Beto is married.

Dami, Marina, Baldo and Tori have lunch together. Baldo would like to offer a home for them, but they are staying in a small room near the cemetery where Baldo works. Baldo then suggests that they all rent a house and live together. After Marina and Tori go walk around, Baldo asks Dami if things are still okay between them, but Dami hasn’t been able to think about things after all that has happened. She apologizes for leaving without telling him and thinks she doesn’t deserve his love.

Su calls Doc and tells him that there is no news about Marina. She suggests that he go talk to Tori since the little dummy tends to talk.

So, we've been despuesed! Time is getting close for the baby to be born and hopefully have an identical birthmark to Beto's, or STTE to prove paternity without another DNA test.

Su is still trying to pimp out Vane to Beto. That woman just will not give up.

Seems like Pru would question Su still mooching ... er ... staying at her home? Or maybe Pru is wearing her telenovela beanie. Angsty is the only one there with a brain.

Rgv Chickie, thank you for another extremely helpful recap. Some days my ears are tuned up and I understand quite a lot of what is said; some days, like today, I could swear they're delivering their lines in Greek. Oh, well, still fun to watch.

Yola and Erasmo did a very nice duet. I don't know if that's enough for them to get together, but they have more going for them than Lino and Vanesa.

I have wondered about Pru and Don Louse. She fell in love with him? Was she on drugs?

I totally did not understand the part about Marina having rights to whatever Beto has. Maybe this is because they married "bajo el régimen de sociedad conjugal"?
So, did Pru do a prenup before marrying Don Louse? Meh, maybe she was in love and he was already looking forward to a male heir.

Ep 30: Part 1 Drastic Lies

At the casino, Sami tells Lola that each of her performances had better be better than the previous one or she will run her off. Lola counters that she will never run her off because she always does better; it’s in her nature. Chile and Nestor are out in the gambling room drinking together because of their love troubles. Chile feels like Romeo and Nestor thinks women are so outlandish…the women of today want to be businesswomen. Lola then does her dance routine while Axel watches as he slugs down some liquor. Tito enjoys the dance too, but then catches sight of Axel. After Lola finishes, Axel follows her and tells her that she danced like a queen as he gropes her; he then asks if she liked the room he got for her. When he tries to kiss her, Lola struggles to get away and Tito comes to try to save the day, but Axel punches him hard in the stomach. Goons come and take Axel away. Tito then warns Lola about Axel and wants to accompany her home to protect her. When she tells him that she has nowhere to go, he invites her to stay at his house. They can go in quietly so his mother won’t find out since she may ask too many questions…and they can explain to his mother later.

The HTT ladies are in church eating when Elpi sneaks up on them and scolds them for breaking the fast. After Elpi cancels the fast, he runs them off.

Tito and Lola arrive at his house. When Lola worries that his mother will hear them, Tito assures her that he knows his mom’s routine very well; so she is fast asleep now.

Rose goes to see Teo at his house. She is received by Oscar who tells her that it is late and Teo is asleep. She complains that he shouldn’t be telling her anything since he dumped her. When Oscar reminds her that Teo is seeing Flor, Rose responds that Teo loves another woman. Oscar finally convinces her to leave.

Flor sits up in bed as she recalls Teo’s tender words about growing old together. She then remembers Val telling her similar ideas. Meanwhile Teo is in bed thinking about Flor. Later as he sleeps, Val sits beside him and figures he is dreaming about Flor since he has a big smile.

Next Day—

Oscarella greets his listeners and reminds them that he is waiting for their letters about love.

Some flowers are received at Marga’s house. Rose quickly insists that Teo sent them to her.

Tito wakes Lola and tries to get her up since his mother is sure to come by. Just then, Itza walks in and they fumble to explain why Lola is there; she came over for breakfast. Itza welcomes Lola and tells her she is welcome to stay.

Tere and Jovita are walking down the street when they see Nestor asleep on a bench with Chile. Tere chides him for being is such a state…everyone will see him. After Nestor mentions to Jovita that her niece was at the casino dancing, Tere takes him home by his ear as Chile takes another swig of liquor.
 

FLOR
Ep 30: Part 2 Drastic Lies

Elpi bumps into Oscar as he is leaving his radio station (as himself). Elpi tells him that he has already sent Aure’s hair to be tested. He is anxious to get the results because Aure is going through a hard time and needs his father. Oscar advises him to remain calm…whatever is going to happen is bound to happen.

Flor is with Mariana who is distraught and very worried; she even thought of going to get Xochitl and force her to come home. Mariana knew that things would eventually end with Aure, but losing her daughter is totally different. Flor assures Mariana that she will be there for her and emphasizes that she is doing the right thing. Meanwhile, Xochitl compliments Aure’s cooking, and Marga disses Mariana. When Xochitl backs her up saying that her mother is never home, comes home very late, and she doesn’t care about them, Aure asks Xochitl not to be saying those things, but Xochitl insists that she is telling the truth and she is going to tell everyone.

Oscar tells Octi that there isn’t much he can do since Octi put everything in Sami’s name; he is going to have to face the consequences of his actions. Octi may as well accept Sami’s conditions if he wants to get the 10% Sami offered to give him from his estate.

Teo tells Flor that he wants to take dancing lessons. Flor welcomes him in as Val watches and won’t miss this for the world. Flor gives Teo a lesson as everyone watches, including Val who is laughing because Teo has two big left feet. After Flor has Teo watch Lalo and Gris, she tells him to try dancing with Gris, but Teo ends up stepping on Gris. Val laughs. After a while, Teo is getting used to some of the steps, so Flor goes to get some air at the window where Val is watching from. Val wonders if she really likes the spaghetti man. Teo then comes to join her and tells her that he is really enjoying himself, but prefers to talk about their wedding. He wants her mother to know that he is serious about her. Flor suggests that they talk after he finishes his lesson.

Rose is getting her hair done at Itza’s hair salon when Val throws her a note to go see what is happening at Flor’s dance studio.

Mariana tries to go see Xochitl at Marga’s house, but Marga doesn’t allow her to go in. When Mariana insists on seeing her daughter because Xochitl needs her, Xochitl comes out and yells that she does not need Mariana…and she never want to see or talk to her again!

Rose marches down to Flor’s house (curlers bouncing all over). When she gets to the door she hesitates going in. While Val urges her to enter, Flor is inside cheering Teo on to dance. Rose finally enters and sees Teo trying to dance.

Aure talks to Chile about needing a good job; there are too many temptations at the casino. If he ever asks for custody of Xochitl, a job at the casino wouldn’t look good. Chile wishes that he could someday be a father and have his children consider him a good father. Chile then suggests that they concentrate on their business.

 

FLOR
Ep 30: Part 3 Drastic Lies

Rose has gone to drag Marga over to Flor’s house. Rose warns her that she’d better find a way to separate Flor and Teo. Marga enters Flor’s house as Flor and Teo are dancing to a slow song. Marga yells at them to stop…she has something to tell Flor…and it’s a life or death situation. After Flor urges her to speak, Marga tells them that she went to get some medical exams done at a nearby town. Last night she received the results and she has a serious illness. Flor quickly dismisses the class and sits Marga down. After Teo offers his support, Flor assures her that they both will be there to support her. Teo asks what the diagnosis is, but Rose interrupts when she enters and tells Marga that her doctor just called her; so she came running over. Flor asks Marga to share the info with Teo, but Marga refuses and adds that what is happening to her is largely Teo’s fault. Marga continues that she went to see Teo who told her that she was fine, but she continued to feel bad. Marga then tells Flor that she doesn’t want her to be with a man like that…one who doesn’t care about those near him. When Flor defends Teo, Marga insists that Teo didn’t tell her anything and wonders why he would let her leave his office without checking her. When Teo asks what the diagnosis is, Marga refuses to tell him and Rose urges Teo to leave. After he leaves, Teo calls Mica and tells her to get Margo’s file.

Lalo and Gris are going to have lunch when his wife, Fanny, barges in on them and chides him for continuing the classes with Flor (whom she is jealous of). She then insults Gris for trying to take a married man away from his wife and takes Lalo away.

Teo looks at Marga’s file and is puzzled that he didn’t find anything. Mica backs him up since he is so meticulous with everything he does.

Sami walks into Octi’s office with her lawyer. Oscar is also present to formalize the request for the divorce. He advises the couple to think about this step which will change their lives. They need to remember the love that once united them and consider resolving their differences. Octi is willing to try because he loves his little blue-eyed doll.

Flor tells Marga that she is not understanding and asks what disease she has. Rose interrupts and tells Flor that it is not a disease, but a condition—a severe renal deficiency. Marga hangs her head as Rose continues that Marga will need dialysis and other very expensive treatments; she will also need much attention and 24/7 care. When Marga tells them that she doesn’t want to be a bother, Rose assures her that they are there for her. She then takes Flor aside and tells her that she shouldn’t be worrying their mother with a wedding…it would be very selfish of her to do so. Rose then goes to hug Marga as Flor tells Marga that she will take care of her.

 

Thank you for this recap. I like it when they do the timejimps. I wish they'd do it so she can get her pretty <●> <●>s working. And I hope they do get a better place to live cuz Those steps are hard on the back not to mention Beinging pregnant, I can only imagine What it feels like carrying beto Jr. Walkin up those steps every day.

Loved the title!

“Oscar advises him to remain calm…whatever is going to happen is bound to happen” – good advice but hard to follow.

“Rose marches down to Flor’s house (curlers bouncing all over)” had me smiling away. I cannot believe she is going to such drastic measures to stop Teo from being with Flor. Even if she manages to make that happen, how will she make him love her? Not. Possible.

“Xochitl backs her up saying that her mother is never home, comes home very late, and she doesn’t care about them” and “Xochitl comes out and yells that she does not need Mariana…and she never want to see or talk to her again!” made me sad. This child’s reign of terror must end. Aure needs to shut this down immediately.

The lie about Marga’s health was a severe one. Lots of treatment. How will all of that be faked? Talk about odious children. No little love bugs here.

“Val wonders if she really likes the spaghetti man”. She does! I do too.

“Octi is willing to try because he loves his little blue-eyed doll”. Sure. Keep telling yourself that.

Doris, we were definitely "despuesed" and I'm glad. The story was starting to lag; so hopeofully it'll get going again. I just can't believe Pru would put up with Su for 6 months! Staying for a few days is understandable, but MONTHS??? That is even more than mooching!

Andy, I was surprised that Pru actually married the Louse for love....she was REALLY blind and she seems to want to go back there. QTH??? How can she just dismiss whatt he has done (or hasn't done) for their daughter? and to her too?? He was very close to hitting her several times and he actually pushed her quite forcefully. Don Louse doesn't seem to remember that they were in love; he pointed out that their marriage was convenient for both their families.

Diana, Rose is just plain selfish and stoopid! She's acting on anonymous notes that she receives without questioning who is sending them and why, but then sh ehas those huge blinders on and is willing to do ANYTHING to get Teo no matter who gets hurt. Unfortunately, Val is doing the same thing, which is very disappointing to me. I really liked him, but lately he has been an ogre.So basically that only leaves a handful of people who I'm rooting for, including Chile and Teo.

I could not believe Rose used Marga's health as a ploy. That is something I would NEVER do for fear that it might come back and bite me where it most hurts.

Yes, ditto for a great recap on Memorial Day. I wonder whether you had a cookout, too.

Andy, yes they got married with shared rights. At the clerk's desk when they were filling out the forms, IIRC, Beto wanted them shared and she insisted she didn't want any of his money, but he insisted more. So, if anything happens to Beto AFTER his dad dies, she would get it all. Right now, he has nothing except his salary and a promise that he's Don L's heir.

One thing I heard was that Susu recommended that they keep the information to themselves that with the misspelled name, the marriage was null and void, i.e. Beto is not married. She said it was for the good of Pru. I personally don't think in a court of law this would make any difference, they got all the rest of the name correct, except for one letter.

Did anyone else notice that Beto really hurt his left hand? It was bandaged up in the first scene with Pru. It was just on for a second--but I saw it. The rest of the episode, even with a 6-mo. time-jump, he did a pretty good job of hiding it.

Six months of hosting Susu and Vane is a stretch, even in this world of spandex beanies. If Pru sincerely wants to recapture her youthful romance with Don L, she should first put a stop to Susu spending so much time with Don L, closeted in his home office. I don't see him working at anything--too much time on his hands to get into trouble--he lives comfortably off the sweat of his employees out in the avocado fields.

I wonder which one of the bad guys (and gal) or Beto will find Marina first.

Rgv Chick, hiding behind a fake illness is nauseating. You are so right - sometimes you say it and become it. I wouldn't wish illness on anyone, including Rose but dammit she is turning lives upside down for someone she will never have.

I am rooting for Chile and Teo too! Here's hoping good guys finish first this time :)

And what is Val hoping for? All he is doing is prolonging Flor's agony. Not "feeling" him at all any mnore.

Ep 47: Part 1 A Final Adios

We start at the Ocaranza home. Horti thanks Pru for bringing her to the city. Don L comes in ready to eat and Pru tells Don L that Su told her that her apartment is ready, but there were some things she didn’t like. They comment on how much Vanesa is liked…even as a daughter; so Pru reminds Don L that he has another daughter…who they still haven’t heard from. All Pru wants is to know how Marina is.

Out in the city, Marina tells Tori that sometimes she dreams of the good times they had together. As Tori touches Marina’s stomach, the baby moves and Tori becomes excited.

Pru wants to know why Angsty doesn’t like Su. Angsty thinks that everything Su does is intentional; she is sure Su is wanting Vanesa to get close to Beto.

Doc goes to the cemetery looking for Tori. The new man tells him that he and Baldo have gone to the city. He doesn’t know exactly where they went; so the man tells Doc that he will have to go the state offices to ask where Baldo was transferred to. Doc grabs the man and tells him he wants to know exactly where he needs to ask for the information; so the man quickly tells him to contact the main office.

Baldo suggests that they all go out the next day since it will be Sunday. After Tori complains that Baldo never lets him have fun and they all agree to go on an outing the next day, Dami shows Baldo the booth where they work.

Beto is working as he thinks about how much he needs Marina.

Tori and Baldo get home. Tori is so excited about finding Marina that he wants to tell Yola, but Baldo is firm as he tells him that he is not to tell anyone where Marina is.

The Next Day—

The foursome spend time together walking around the city and eating cotton candy.

Angsty and Pru go to the church. When Pru realizes that she forgot the candles, Angsty goes to buy some. Marina then enters the church by herself. Pru hears the walking stick and knows it’s Marina; so she gets up and goes to her as she calls her name. They hug as mother and daughter. After Marina apologizes for having left without telling them, she pleads with Pru not to tell Beto where she is. Pru wonders why Marina hides and thinks that Marina should let them help her so that the baby will have a better life, but Marina remembers Beto’s words and believes that she can raise the baby on her own; she already has her diploma and can study to have a career. Marina also reminds Pru that her father rejects her…she is a strong woman and will get ahead along with her baby. Pru then tells her how Beto works night and day because he misses her so much. Pru knows that they love each other and they should talk…she pleads with Marina to give Beto one more chance. Outside, Angsty sees Dami and chides her for not telling them where they were. They realize that Marina and Pru are together inside and enter as Angsty asks Dami to give Marina and Pru a chance to talk.

Beto arrives home looking beat. Don L thinks he is working too much and might get sick; he knows he is trying not to think about that little woman. When Beto tells him that he will continue to work all hours until he finds Marina, Don L comments that his wait is futile since she is so proud. Beto counters that they know where she got that from…and laughs.

 

MIRADA
Ep 47: Part 2 A Final Adios

Doc summons Zackrat to ask if he knows anything about Marina, but the Rat knows nada.

Su continues to urge Vanesa to awaken the old feelings Beto had for her. Vanesa knows that Beto still loves Marina and he will never love her as he loves Marina. Su suggests that Vanesa convince Beto that Marina will not return

Doc and Ramona talk. He urges her to find out where Baldo went. After she leaves he calls the state office to find out where Baldo was transferred to only to be told that the information cannot be given through their office.

The foursome walk back to Dami’s apartment. Marina tells them about her conversation with Pru. As they say good-bye, Baldo assures Dami that he will continue looking for another place for them.

Pru and Angsty are back in Pru’s room. As Angsty urges Pru to tell Beto about Marina, Beto enters and wonders what it is that he should know. After Pru tells him where Marina works and lives, Beto can’t believe Marina prefers living like that to being with him. Pru urges him to go talk to Marina and try to work things out.

Marina is outside crying as she goes through her memory file from the time she met Beto to the day they got married. Marina wonders why Beto can’t understand her…despite everything, she continues to love him. Dami calls her to come inside since it is so cold. Once inside, Dami wonders if Beto will come looking for Marina, but Marina believes he would never come looking for her in a place like this. Just then, there is a knock on the door…guess who-oo??

Dami goes out to give Beto and Marina time alone. They tell each other they miss and love each other. When Beto asks why she left without telling anyone, she tells him that she overheard him that night when he talked to Pru. She knew how different they were and that they would never be able to come to terms. They speak about the baby and have the same argument. When he tells her that if she loves him, she’ll have the test done to ease his mind, Marina counters that if he loves her, he will trust her and accept that the baby came from their love. Neither one budges so they say a final good-bye.

Pru is wondering why Beto is taking so long. As she comments to Angsty that she wants them to return so that they can be a family, Don L overhears and assumes that Marina showed up. Dami tries to lie, but Don L tells her to leave so he can talk to Pru. Once alone, Pru admits that she found Marina…Beto went to look for her and they should be patching things up as they speak (or not!). After Don L thinks that Marina will have to accept Beto’s conditions, Pru makes him promise not to tell anyone about Marina…and, hesitantly, he does.

As Beto leaves, Dami urges Beto to love and support Marina, but he refuses to accept the baby until he is sure that he is the father.

Lino explains to Erasmo how to work with the dirt and his project. Lino doesn’t feel like he belongs there anymore; everywhere he goes and anything he does brings memories of Vanesa. Meanwhile, Vanesa is pining for Lino as she cries.

Marina cries to Dami that Beto will never support her or trust her; he is not the man for her and it hurts her to know that.

Don L is stressing in his office when Su comes in and tells him that he can confide in her (as she massages his shoulders). He quickly gets up to go for some coffee, but then gives her a long look before he leaves.

Beto arrives home and tells Pru everything he told Marina to try to patch things up and why they still aren’t together. Pru doesn’t understand why Beto can’t see the baby as a blessing. When Beto argues that he can’t accept the baby because it will remind him of Doc Mask, Don L enters and supports Beto. Pru insists that Beto has a responsibility because Marina is his wife and the baby is legally his. Don L aims his bazooka and shoots out the news, “No, no, no, Alberto and Marina are not married.”

Thank you for this recap, RgvChick! I had our granddaughter all day today, tomorrow, and Thursday. No time to watch these episodes and I'm way too tired tonight. 😴

I still want to smack Beto with a Nerf bat. If the baby were to end up not his (although we know better), would he make Marina give it away? Like that is going to make for a happy marriage? He is nuts. Beto learned something from his father the Louse and learned it well.

Marina still saying she just intuitively knows the baby is Beto's is nuts. She does not have ESP or psychic powers.

I am sooo glad we did not have to suffer the six months we were time jumped.

Doc Mask is just plain BSC.

Beto continues to disappoint. If they did do a test and found the baby was Doc Mask's (though we know better), then what? Marina would never have had an abortion, so if he wants mama he has to take the baby as well. For a bright guy he's kinda stupid. Why is he obsessing about this? Chickie, have you had a rooster that liked to peck suspicious eggs?   :-)

SuChucha was looking especially good tonight, I don't blame Don Louse for giving her a look. Maybe he should try his luck with her, they do deserve each other.

Ep 31: Part 1 Bad Decisions Going South…Waaay South!

At the casino, Oscar asks Sami if Octi’s words moved her; and if they did, she should take time to think about what she really wants to do. Sami agrees that Octi’s words moved her; she doesn’t understand how a man who, for many years, mistreated her, humiliated her, and used her without mercy could suddenly feel this love just because he fears losing his property. When Octi assures her that what he fears is losing her, Sami responds that no cheap talk will erase all the damage he caused her…she then asks where she should sign. Octi shakes his head and tries to plead with her. When he is given the papers to sign, Octi refuses, but when Sami’s attorney and Sami warn him that they will dig deeper into his businesses which were somewhat shady, Octi signs the papers.

Rose praises Marga for her performance and especially for blaming Teo for everything. When Marga warns her that they can get caught, Rose tells her not to worry because she has contacts and has learned a lot during all the years she worked for Teo. After Rose leaves, Marga is tempted to call Chile so she can cry on his shoulder, but she doesn’t think it would be fair to him.

Teo is in his office still looking at Marga’s file and trying to figure out how he could have missed Marga’s condition. Flor assures him that she knows that he would never put his patient’s health at risk. She then tells him that taking care of her mother will take all her time and she wants his support. Val listens as Teo agrees that he will be there for her. Seeing that Flor is touched by Teo’s understanding, Val thinks that he needs to do something else to separate them.

Sami walks her attorney out while Jovita chides Lola for working at the casino. When Sami interrupts and tells Jovita that she shouldn’t be there, Jovita turns on Sami; so Sami has her escorted out. Later, Lola thanks Sami and tells her that it won’t happen again, but Sami tells her that her aunt is right. Family is family; and Lola shouldn’t end up like so many girls there.


Val goes to Maxi because he wants her help in breaking Itza’s spell. When Maxi tells him that it depends on him, he strokes her leg as he tries to sweettalk her, but she quickly stops him and tells him that he needs to decide if he is going to sign their deal. Val wonders what good it is to have skills if he can’t use them with Flor. When Maxi reminds him of all the things he has done, including the problems he has caused by using Rose, she bangs her fist on the desk making the chess game appear and asks Val what other proof he needs. He should accept her deal or things will be worse for him. He is the one who needs her and he only has a few hours to make his decision.


Jovita goes to see Nestor at his office and tells him that he should close down the casino. She suggests that he go inspect it to make sure they are following all the city requirements. If he doesn’t do anything about it, she will go to his superiors…and the superiors of his superiors.

Lola complains to Tito that her aunt won’t let her do anything. Tito doesn’t understand why Lola has to dance if her aunt’s bakery is doing well. Lola explains that dancing is her dream…and she wants to dance all over the world. Lola knows that working at the casino can be dangerous, but if that is how she can get out of town, then she will continue there.

Rose calls her friend Susi and gets her to send her some false medical reports on Marga…though she had to threaten her a little. Marga again warns Rose that this lie is going to get out of her hands. Just then, Flor arrives with some tea and takes Marga to the other room so she can take care of her.

Ep 31: Part 2 Bad Decisions Going South…Waaay South!

Mariana talks to Oscar about getting a divorce. He advises her that before getting into a legal mess, she and Aure should come into an agreement. Mariana isn’t sure Aure will want to agree to anything especially where her daughter is concerned; so Oscar warns her that if they don’t come to an agreement, the legal battle will get ugly and they will end up hating each other…they will have to talk about all the skeletons in each other’s closets.

Flor is with Marga in her bedroom trying to make her comfortable. Flor brings up how Marga changed her mind so quickly about Teo. When she sees that Marga is becoming upset, Flor changes the subject and remembers how things were so good between them before their problems started.

Val visits Carlota who wonders if he is sure he wants to go to hell. If he goes there, he will be experiencing everything he hates and will be begging to get out. Maxi may be painting a pretty picture of beaches and palm trees, but hell is far from that. Val argues that Maxi is giving him options. He can’t stand thinking that he is going to lose Flor. As he continues to ramble, Carlota disappears.

Teo goes to Marga’s house and is greeted by Rose who recalls the text she received from Teo’s phone. She winks at him several times and tells him she won’t say anything. Teo is totally clueless about what she is talking about. Flor then comes down; so Rose leaves.

At the casino, Sami tells the employees that whoever doesn’t like that she is the boss is free to leave. Just then Octi comes in and, when everyone leaves, he cries to Sami and begs her not to leave him out in the streets; he doesn’t know how to start from zero. When he asks if she has no pity for him, Sami sits unphased by his groveling.

Teo tells Flor that her mother’s condition is very serious and needs to be treated immediately. He offers to contact some doctors so that they can take Marga’s case. Teo is even willing to pay for everything since he feels indebted to Marga. When Teo asks to talk to Marga so that he can explain it to her, Flor prefers to talk to Marga first to feel the waters.

Rose calls Marga to warn her not to tell Flor anything. Marga thanks her for what she is doing. She is spending a nice time with Flor and now knows that she can count on Flor. Later, Rose talks to Jovita about Flor. They diss Flor for a while and Rose mentions how Flor is stalking Teo. When Jovita mentions that Flor has also been a bad influence on Lola, Rose confides that she is trying to stop Flor and suggests that they become allies. Jovita agrees.

At the casino, Sami gives Octi a mop and tells him that if he wants to stay there he will have to start at the bottom. If he wants to get his share of the casino, he will have to do as she says.

Val visits Chile, but Chile completely ignores him. Val asks him to forgive him, but Chile only sings a song about bad friends and backstabbings (quite loudly). Aure arrives and Chile gives him a very friendly greeting; he hopes they wil become BFFs. When Aure comments that he knows he won’t be as close a friend to Chile as Val, Chile assures him that he and Val weren’t great friends…they only hung out together and did some small jobs.

Rose talks to Tere who is crying and fed up….sometimes love leaves and one doesn’t even realize it. Rose suggests that she can find new love, but Tere won’t hear it…until Rose shows her a dating site.

Ep 31: Part 3 Bad Decisions Going South…Waaay South!

Flor tells Mariana about Marga; she isn’t ready to lose her mother. Mariana thinks Marga is very strong and can withstand a lot. Flor then tells Mariana that Marga has turned against Teo because he didn’t identify her condition. Mariana wishes she could help Flor care for her mother, but with things the way they are with Aure, Mariana can’t even set foot in Marga’s house. When Flor asks how things are with Mariana, Marina replies that nothing has changed, everything is bad, but she doesn’t want to talk about herself. Mariana would rather talk about Flor; so Flor confides that Teo asked her for a date for the wedding, but she wasn’t able to respond to him with everything that happened. Mariana smiles and thinks Teo is a great catch. As Flor leaves, Mariana gets a call from someone…she looks very worried

Val sits at the gazebo thinking about Chile dumping him and the advice Maxi and Carlota have given him. He clearly doesn’t know what to do, but then he sees Flor going into Teo’s office.

Aure walks Xochitl from school when Mariana comes running up and asks what happened. Aure tells her that Xochitl got into a fight and has already promised not to do it again. Mariana tries to talk to Xochitl, but Xochitl completely ignores her and tells Aure that she wants to go home.

Teo tells Flor that he has already found someone he trusts that is willing to treat her mother. Flor smiles and tells Teo that he was trying to tell her something when they were at her academy, but he couldn’t finish. She comments that every time they have an important moment, they are interrupted. She wishes he could sit close to her and finish whatever he wants to say.

Aure arrives at Marga’s house as Mariana follows and asks to talk to him. Aure urges Xochitl not to be rude and at least say hello to her mother; so she obliges very curtly and quickly goes inside. Mariana then pleads with Aure that they talk about what they will be doing in regards to Xochitl. Aure finally agrees to talk to her and they go out for coffee.

Teo tells Flor that he lied to her. He doesn’t want to marry her tomorrow or next week; he wants to marry her right now. He wants to wake up with her every morning and tell her that he loves her. As Val appears, Teo repeats that he wants to marry her now. Flor doesn’t think it’s the right time for either one of them, but assures Teo that his declaration of love is the most beautiful one she has ever heard. Teo then asks if they can at least set a date because once a date is set, it’s be a done deal. After Flor assures Teo that she wants to marry him. Val yells out to Maxi and is whizzed up to her office. Maxi sees Val’s desperation and needles him about those two getting married; so Val agrees to deal…with…the DEVIL!

Let’s start with the amazing title “Bad Decisions Going South…Waaay South! “ Perfect Rgv Chick, just perfect. You've just made my day.

My favorite line was “Sami sits unphased by his groveling”. Most excellent!

“Chile assures him that he and Val weren’t great friends…they only hung out together and did some small jobs”. Ouch! That said, Val deserved that. And a whole lot more!

“Marga is tempted to call Chile so she can cry on his shoulder, but she doesn’t think it would be fair to him.” So Marga does have a conscience. Although it doesn’t remain active for very long does it?


I understand how he might feel about the baby if it weren't his, but as Pru and Marina have pointed out time and again, the baby is innocent of all this and it shouldn't suffer any consequences of the adult actions. And I also agree with you about Marina...stubborn as a mule and being very unreasonable. Both she and Beto are every selfish in what they want.

I am extremely disappointed in both Beto and Marina. Have you noticed that recently that the main couple being somewhat obnoxious has been a trend lately in the TNs? And no, I haven't noticed any roosters pecking on suspicious eggs...just on suspicious baby chicks which is worse IMO! But it end to think that the baby chicks they peck on are baby roosters and the older roosters are wanting to get rid of the competition (just my theory though).

Diana, Val is quickly losing points. This obsession he has with breaking up Teo and Flor is ridiculous. When is he going to accept that he is DEAD; and even though Flor may forgive him and have fond memories of him, he will still be DEAD and won't be able to be with Flor? How easy it is for a person to take for granted what they have and only find out how valuable it is when they lose it. So is this the message we are to get from this TN? It seems that Teo is the one turning out to be the galan of the story.

Marga does seem to have a conscience, but it is only limited to that which involves her personally. She is quite the opposite when dealing with everyone else's problems...which is the majority of the time.

All I could think of, after that heart-rending reunion of mother and daughter, was that Marina and Beto live in a land before DNA. What does she REALLY have against taking one. She did one for proof she was Pru and Don L's baby, why not this. This MUST be the one thing they could not update from remaking Esmeralda (though I never saw it all the way through). I'm done with both of them.

I want more Lino, who is restless now. It's time for him to come to try making it as a singer, but really, looking for Vane. It won't be long before Margo, Yola and Doc Maska-nater (thanks, Nina) all find out where the little family is living, anyway. There's only one reason Hortie came to town, so she can report back to someone, anyone, that Marina has reappeared.

One big incongruity for me--these characters live in an isolated rural pueblo surrounded by estancias and field workers, have ONE doc in town, but has a university with a graduate school where Yola is studying LAW? She should have made her way to a bigger city long ago. Maybe now she and Lino can move to the city and...and...calling Eric and Vane. Answer, please.

Nina, I am perplexed about this DNA thing. What does Beto hope to accomplish? If it's his baby, fine, but their relationship is already compromised. If it's Doc Mask's, then what? Marina is going to have, keep, and raise her baby, with or without Beto. End of story. (Oops, just an expression, one that doesn't apply perfectly to this TN :)

Beto keeps disappointing. I don't see how he comes out to be a winner by the end. He started out as such a nice guy, but now...

Ep 48: Part 1 The Great Escape

After Don L blasts out his news, he tells Pru and Beto that he has the marriage certificate and the last name is misspelled, thus making the marriage null and void.

Marina continues to cry on Dami’s shoulder. She doesn’t want to cry anymore since she has so many reasons to be happy. She has made the decision to have the baby. Beto has made his decision; so the baby will only be hers. Marina then smiles and asks for the yarn she bought.

Mago thinks about Dami and how much he misses her. Lino enters and sees him pensive so Mago tells him he was just remembering…Lino knows what it is to miss those they love. Lino then tells Mago that he has shown the men how to prepare the fertilizer…he wants to leave the ranch and go to the capital to study for a career. Mago wonders why he wants to leave; so Lino confides that he wants to try at a singing career; he wants to follow his dream. Mago tries to convince him to stay, but Lino is missing something that is not there. Mago realizes that Lino is leaving because of Vanesa...a girl who doesn’t care about him, but Lino is going crazy without her; he wants to go to the city to be close to her. Mago finally agrees to not stop Lino from leaving; he just asks that Lino never forget his roots and that he has his family’s love and his dead mother’s blessing.

Beto and Pru look at the marriage certificate and wonder what can be done. Beto wants to go talk to Marina so that they can go have the error corrected, but Don L prefers to go see her himself to also get her to sign the papers for the adoption. Pru insists on going with him; and Beto asks Don L not to mention the error on marriage certificate…he wants to address that himself.

Alone in his bedroom, Beto can’t believe they made a mistake on the certificate. He recalls the wedding ceremony and how happy he was.

Lino goes to see Yola and tells her that he is still in love with Vanesa and is going after her. He just talked to their father who has allowed him to go. If he is doesn’t go after what he loves, he feels that he will die (no violins?).

Next Morning—

Angsy tells Pru that Don L already left. Pru is surprised that he didn’t let her go with him. Meanwhile, Don L bangs on Dami’s door. Dami lets him in, then leaves to give them some privacy (she hasn’t learned her lessons yet!). Marina tells Don L that she has nothing to discuss with him, but Don L insists since he promised Beto that he would make an effort. When Marina asks why he is there, Don L explains that the most important thing to him is his family, but ever since she appeared, his family has had no peace. Beto is suffering because of her and her insistence on him accepting the “chilpayate” (little one/child). He then calms down and offers her his solution—to give away the baby…something that Beto has agreed to.

Lino tells Erasmo that he is leaving to the capitol; so Erasmo gives him the address to a lady who is a his aunt’s friend. Zackrat comes by and is glad to be rid of Lino.
Su sits with Vanesa devastated that Don L didn’t confide in her about knowing where Marina is. She then urges Vanesa to take Don L out to eat and use her charm to get Marina’s address.

Back with Marina, Don L continues his argument, but Marina asks that he leave. Don L then tells her that he is also there to have her sign the documents so that he can adopt her, but Marina wants nothing to do with him, his last name, or his money; she knows he is ashamed to have a blind daughter...and she is ashamed to be his daughter. She asks him again to leave; so Don L offers her the papers to sign. Marina takes them and tears them up in front of his lousy face and throws them at him telling him he can now leave.

Ep 48: Part 2 The Great Escape

Doc argues with a state clerk because no one can tell him where Baldo was transferred. Later, Doc Mask takes off to the capitol to go look for Baldo since he is getting nowhere with the state office.

Dami can’t believe Don L asked Marina to give up the baby. What hurts Marina the most is that Beto thinks just as that man.

Don L goes to the hospital to tell Beto that he talked to Marina who is not interested in having anything from him. When Beto tells him that he should have insisted more, Don L exaggerates and tells Beto that he took someone so that they could read the documents to Marina, but she just tore them up in his face. Beto then agrees with Don L that it is Marina’s problem now if she wants no part of the family.

Dami tells Baldo about Beto’s visit and Don L’s visit. Baldo tells her not to worry because he already found another place for them.

Don L is in Pru’s bedroom and has told her about his visit with Marina. Pru can’t believe Don L asked Marina to give up her baby. Don L argues that when the chilpayate is born, it is only going to come between Marina and Beto. Marina will have to decide who she wants—her chilpayate or Beto.

Yola is walking around the stables when Zackrat comes and harasses her. He tries to grab her, but Yola pushes him away as Erasmo arrives and calls her his girlfriend. After Zackrat backs off and leaves, Yola chides Erasmo for calling her his girlfriend.

Don L talks to his lawyer and is very happy to tell him to stop the adoption proceedings. Vanesa then comes in and invites him to lunch. At lunch, Vanesa uses all her charms to get Marina’s address. After the lunch, Vanesa gives the address to Su who quickly calls Doc Mask and gives it to him. She tells Doc that she hopes that he won’t mess up this time…he needs to take Marina away. Doc assures her that no one will be able to find Marina once he takes her far away.

Beto shows up at Marina’s house. He tells Dami and Marina that they are not married…due to the spelling error. Since the only way they can rectify it is to go back to Valle del Bravo, Beto urges Marina to go back with him since he still loves her and wants to be with her. He hopes to see her in the morning so that they can go back. After he leaves, Dami asks Marina if she believes that the marriage has a chance.

Beto goes back home and tells Pru and Angsty that he has talked to Marina about the error in the marriage certificate. It now depends on what Marina wants to do.

Doc Mask creeps up to Marina’s apartment. When he knocks on the door, there is no answer, so he jimmies the door and enters…only to find an empty room!! Meanwhile, Baldo and Tori are helping Dami and Marina arrange everything in their new apartment which is smaller, but on the ground floor. Also, at the same time. Lino arrives at the address Erasmo gave him. He meets a person whom he thinks is a man since the person is making repairs on the building. The person turns out to be Doña Soledad who knows Erasmo. She welcomes him and rents him a two-room apartment.

Ep 48: Part 3 The Great Escape

After Doc Mask harasses a young girl to try to get info on Marina, the girl yells and runs away. He then calls Su, but Vanesa answers and tells him that there is no more information to give. After Vanesa hangs up, she blocks his number before Su comes out asking if her phone rang. Vanesa denies that the phone rang and struts out.

Don L goes into his bedroom complaining about his avocados not selling as much as he had hoped. After Pru tells him that Beto talked to Marina about the error in the certificate and adds that they will be going back to Valle to rectify it, she hopes that they can settle their differences during the trip. Don L doesn’t think Beto and Marina can live in peace since Marina has so much pride and is a bully. When he wonders who she got that from, he tells Pru not to answer that. Pru laughs. When Don L goes on and on about Marina not knowing who the father is, Pru assures him that Beto is the father and hopes that Beto will take responsibility. Don L, however, hopes the exact opposite.

Ep 32: Part 1 The (Second) Proposal

Val agrees to deal with the devil. He gets the contract and signs one document, but Maxi tells him that he has many others to sign. She hopes that he makes good use of his skills for the year that he has left. Val is not happy to hear that he only has one year…it’s not enough time. Maxi points out that he should have read the fine print…and is excited that there is one more of them.

Teo and Flor are in his office. He panics because he doesn’t have the ring yet, but Flor doesn’t care about a ring. Teo wants to go ask for her hand, but Flor reminds him that they need to consider her mother’s condition. They agree to marry in approximately 4 months. When Flor asks him if he is content, Teo responds that he is the happiest man on earth.

Aure and Mariana talk about custody for Xochitl. Mariana makes her argument—she cares for Xochitl all the time and feeds her. Aure argues that he has done the same thing and reminds Mariana that Xochitl made the choice to live with him. Aure just wants to be happy and have his family. Mariana thinks he is being very unfair, but Aure points out that she made her decision and now has to live with it. Aure walks off after Mariana assures him that she will fight him with everything she has and things are only going to get worse.

Oscarella is on the radio still urging the audience to share their love problems. After he finishes, he wonders when he will be able to say his truth.

Rose gets another message from Val. He tells her that he is going to continue sending her messages. They both have the same goal—to split up Teo and Flor. He wants them to continue working together, but warns her not to try to figure out who he is. Rose smiles as she puts away the note.

Teo asks Mica to help him out in paying for the ring since his credit card is blocked. Mica wonders if he should go ahead with the purchase of the ring since Marga is ill and she doesn’t want to see him. Val listens as Teo shares how it was Flor who came to him and asked him that they go ahead with the wedding.

Rose shows Marga her diagnosis. Marga thinks that it is too strong a diagnosis and it will end up blowing up in their faces; they may even end up in jail. She thinks that it would be better to just tell everyone about her relationship with Chile. As they argue, Flor comes in.

Mariana goes straight to Oscar and tells him that Aure is not going to budge or give Xochitl back to her; she has no choice but to go to court. Mariana is willing to do anything, even testify against Aure, in order to get her daughter back (not a good way to get your daughter back, Mariana!)

Val tells Chile that he has something important to tell him; he sold his soul to the devil. Chile chides him for making such a stupid decision. When Val tells him that he didn’t know what else to do since his best friend turned his back on him, Chile refuses to accept any responsibility for Val’s decision (and rightfully so!). When Val tells Chile that Flor is going to marry Teo, Chile remarks that he will be throwing flowers at them. Chile then leaves to go for some holy water because it’s starting to smell in there.

Flor and Rose are talking in the kitchen. Rose tries to explain to Flor that Marga’s diagnosis is really bad, but won’t give Flor the report. When Flor explains that she wants to show Teo the report, Rose reminds her that their mother doesn’t want Teo getting involved.

Mariana thanks Oscar for giving her the name of an attorney and tells him that she will have to work hard to pay for the legal costs. Oscar asks that before she goes to the attorney, she give him a chance to try to help them. He wants to talk to Aure and possibly convince him to come to some type of an agreement. Mariana agrees since she has nothing to lose. She asks Oscar to tell Aure that she is going to do everything in her power to get her daughter back.

 

FLOR
Ep 32: Part 2 The (Second) Proposal

Chile goes to the church, but as he talks to Elpi, he gets a call from Marga who is torn and going through the worst time in her life. Val listens as Chile admits that he is also suffering and wants them to “come out of their closet.” Marga can’t do that; she has enough problems to deal with, but she does want to see him. They agree to meet.

Flor tells Teo that she tried to get the diagnostic report from Rose, but Rose refused to give it to her. When she tells Teo that she saw the name of the doctor, Teo comments that the doctor is a colleague of his and calls the doctor’s office.

Marga starts to leave her house when Rose stops her and asks where she is going…she can’t go anywhere because she is supposed to be very sick. After Marga argues that people need to see that she is fighting the disease and not letting it get her down, Rose concedes and Marga leaves.

Rose gets a call from Susy who tells Rose that Teo just called her office. Meanwhile, Teo tells Flor that he has good news; Marga’s condition is not as serious as they initially thought. More tests are being run, but the prognosis is much better. Rose chides Susy for not sticking to the story they agreed upon, but Susy is afraid that Teo will talk to the doctor and she may lose her job.

At Teo’s office, Mica tells Teo that she hasn’t been able to purchase the ring because she had similar technical problems as he did (Val is there messing with her computer). Teo tells her not to try anymore because she might end up having her card blocked just as he did. Teo gets an idea that he thinks is better than what he had planned.

Marga arrives at the church and goes into the confessional where Chile is waiting for her. They tell each other how much they missed each other. Chile wants to talk to her children because he can’t stand being without her. Marga then tells him that she is ill. Meanwhile, Rose gets another message from Val and storms out of the house.

Oscar tries to talk to Aure, but Aure chides him for helping Mariana after Oscar refused to help him. Oscar tries to speak to him calmly, but Aure is very upset and won’t listen to him.

Marga and Chile are still in the confessional talking when Rose opens the door and is horrified to see them together.

Mariana returns to the casino. Since she doesn’t know that Octi is no longer the owner, he gives her orders to clean, but Sami shows up and tells him that he is the one to do the cleaning. After Sami tells Mariana that she is now the owner and boss, Mariana asks what she should do since she still has to help Flor pay Octi. Sami tells her that the debt to Octi is now a separate issue; Mariana will be giving dance classes now.

 

FLOR
Ep 32: Part 3 The (Second) Proposal

Chile is watching Rose take Marga home. When Val speaks to him. Chile assumes that Rose caught him and Marga meeting at the church because Val ratted on them; he calls Val a traitor and a Judas…Val now has an enemy! Down the street, Rose and Marga are arguing. Rose reminds Marga that they have a deal, but Marga points out that it is not a deal…it is Rose blackmailing her. Nestor shows up and Rose tells him that they want to file charges on Chile for assaulting her mother. Meanwhile, Val follows Chile as Chile goes to Flor and tells her that before Val died, Val told him that if he weren’t around, the perfect man for her would be Teo.

Teo tells Oscar that he wants to formalize his relationship with Flor by asking for her hand in marriage. He wants to give Flor his mother’s ring. Teo then calls Flor and asks to see her so that they can both give her mother the news about her condition; Teo also has a surprise for Flor.

Aure is at Marga’s house pacing back and forth when Marga comes in with a long face. Flor then comes in from the kitchen as Teo arrives (with Val following him). When Marga reminds Flor that she doesn’t want to see Teo, Teo speaks up and tells them that he and Flor have very good news…Marga’s condition is not that serious. Rose wonders how Teo has information. Val suddenly hears a child’s voice and is suddenly sucked up and beamed to Diego who is praying for his father as he looks at Val’s picture. Diego promises to be good so that someday he can be with his father in heaven. He asks that Val be taken care of so he doesn’t play tricks on anyone or lose his wings.

At Marga’s house, Teo explains that Marga’s doctor is a colleague of his so he was able to see Marga’s file. Teo then adds that since this is a joyous moment, he would like to tell them that he sees them as his family. He turns to Flor and tells her that he wants to share his life with her. He gets on one knee and presents her with his mother’s ring as he asks her to marry him.

I have disliked Doc Mask for quite some time now and he regularly ticks me off when he grabs people and threatens them, but tonight it really hit me that the guy is totally nutso, bonkers. He's not a little off, he's quite insane. So I suppose I should not judge him so harshly, but he should be institutionalized and not be allowed to run loose and unsupervised.

These TN Mexicans do travel light as Kirby likes to point out. Lino arrived in town with not much of anything. I hope he has a change of clothes in case he gets caught in the rain sometime. And now he is getting two rooms, is this significant?

Yola protests because Erasmo claimed he and she were novios, yet she slaps him around as if they were.   :-)

What exactly is the Ocaranza housing situation in CDMX? Is it a house or a large apartment? Probably a house because apartments don't usually have secret passageways, and this place must have them or else SuChucha could not possibly get around to secretly eavesdrop on every important conversation in the place.

And after half a year or so nobody but Angsty wonders why Su and Vanesa are still around? Oy, caray!

Anita, "...Marina and Beto live in a land before DNA. What does she REALLY have against taking one..." EXACTLY!! In a way, I can understand Beto's point. Just because she "feeeels" that the baby is a product of their love, there should be that little speck of doubt or at least understanding of Beto's doubt. And "It's time for him to come to try making it as a singer, but really, looking for Vane." How quickly your wish came true! But I feel for Lino because if Vanesa was able to leave him behind, what makes him think she'll accept him now...unless he becomes a rich and famous singer...that'll take him a LONG while.

Nina, "Maybe she's afraid and she's telling herself it's beto's baby. Or not. Im goin for Not. Not being afraid. Just stubborn." STUBBORN! I second that!

What I'm also wondering, is whether Diego's prayers will somehow help Val break his deal with the devil. I'm hopeoing so!

I really like Chile too! He has been used by Val so much and it was a hard lesson he had to learn. I'm still hoping he'll look Lola's way. I know he likes Marga who can be really sweet...but only when she wants to be.

Good thought about Diego's prayers. An unholy alliance is best broken by prayer or heavenly intervention I would think...

I have never thought Marga and Chile would end up together, but now that I've said it, I'm sure I'll be proven wrong! :)

I do believe Val did care for Chile as a brother. But, he let him down as unfortunately is mirrored all too often in real life. Val could help him in so many ways but is continuing to be selfish with the time he has left.
