- 8-9PM – La Reina Soy Yo : Ep. 32-34
- 9-10PM
– La Rosa de Guadalupe
Sorry y’all. Severe thunderstorm is passing through and I’m in the dark. Recap will be up tomorrow; hopefully my electricity will be back.
Thanks Saints505 and Susanlynn, I just 'saw the light' so the recap is to follow shortly.
Alexander, thanks for the heads up. I'll add it to the "Coming Soon" page when I get a chance.
Ep 32: Part 1 Bad Guys Outdo the Good Guys
Charly goes to talk to Vanesa in her bedroom. He tells her that she messed up, but they should turn the page and start from zero. He will trust her if she promises that she will let him know of any decisions she makes. Being the little manipulator she is, Vanesa smiles and says, “Of course!” Off Charly goes to get her some ice cream and passes by Diana, the Ice Queen, who makes it clear that this is no longer his house. Charly won’t go down easy and will fight for every last spoon in the house since he bought everything, but Diana thinks that he would have been nothing without her; she built up everything, Charly won’t give in that easily; he will stay with half of everything… and Vanesa will spend half her time with him. Diana points out that the judge will be the one to decide who stays with how much. She tells him to get out. Guess Vane won’t get her ice cream.
Next Day—
Yameli is waiting for Charly in his office when he walks in. He couldn’t sleep; and she worries that he has no place to live and that he is down in the dumps. As he grabs and gropes her, he tells her that he likes that she worries about him. When he tries to get a lip lock, she pushes him away and tells him to close the blinds because people can see them. After he does, they start getting all hot and bothered on the couch when Axel walks in. Oops, sorry! What do you need? Oh just wanted to tell you that your apartment is ready…bye! After Axel whisks himself out, Yameli asks when Charly will invite him over. He replies, “Whenever you want.” She suggests that night while she is on top of him and kissing him. When she pushes him away and tells him she’ll see him that night, Charly gets frustrated that she always turns up the heat, but never jumps in. Yameli has had the heat on since she met him, but she has to get to work. After she leaves, Axel and others come in for a meeting.
Wendy gets a call from Yameli since Yameli has numerous missed calls from her number. Wendy admits calling and, looking like she just got caught with her hand in the cookie jar, tells Yameli she just wanted to get confirmation for the wedding. After Yameli confirms, Juanjo thinks it’s odd that Yameli would be confirming by phone, but Wendy quickly explains that she’s been getting a lot of confirmations by phone. Juanjo, being gullible as always, thinks nothing more of it.
Charly calls Erick and warns him not to leave their mother alone…not even for a minute. Charly met with Monchis who punched him a few times…nothing strange about that, but Monchis is obsessed with their mother. Monchis asked him about her, but he didn’t tell Monchis anything.
Charly tells Axel that he has Yameli hooked. They’re going out to dinner, then drinking, then comes dessert with Yameli on top. When Axel wonders about Diana and if Yameli will be one of Charly’s pets, Charly replies that things are over with Diana. When Axel asks what Vanesa thinks, Charly responds that she isn’t thrilled about the divorce, but she won’t be the first to have divorced parents. Axel doesn’t think Vanesa will take it that easily; his parents were divorced and he did a lot of stupid things. Charly thinks it’s no comparison since Vanesa is well-educated and a good girl whereas Axel has always been a barbarian. Charly thinks Vanesa will be fine. Meanwhile, Vanesa is skipping school with her friend, Silvana…she’s fine, rtight?
Lidia and Erick exit their building while Lady Goon, Karina, watches them. Lidia notices that Erick is nervous, but he tells her he is just looking around for a taxi. Karina follows their taxi.
Toño reports to Monchis that Karina is following Lidia and Erick. Monchis wants them to grab Lidia when Erick is not around…and Karina will need help.
Lidia and Erick walk in the park commenting how peaceful is it living without Monchis. Three young babes approach and ask for an autograph and a selfie. Lidia volunteers to take the picture which includes Karina on her motorcycle, but Lidia is oblivious and teases Erick about his fans.
Ep 32: Part 2 Bad Guys Outdo the Good Guys
Wendy confesses to Pati that she looked at some strange messages on Juanjo’s phone…she can’t get them out of her head. After Pati tells her that it wasn’t cool, she advises Wendy to confront Juanjo and ask him what the messages meant.
Juanjo and Yameli wonder what’s up with Wendy since she is so insistent on Yameli going to the wedding. When Juanjo asks how things are going with Charly, Yameli worries about getting Charly to talk since the clock is ticking and she could be sent back to prison. Juanjo wonders how she will get him to talk; so Yameli responds that she has her methods (whatever it takes, ‘member?). Juanjo worries; after he leaves, Ben calls Yameli for a meeting.
Toño meets with a snitch who tells him that Ben is leading the investigation against Monchis. Toño gives the snitch a package of money and tells him that he wants details about everything Ben does.
Erick is home trying to write a song because he needs another hit quickly. He then calls Charly because he needs to talk to him; so Charly tells him he’ll go over soon.
Diana enters Charly’s office; she needs him to go to the house…it has to do with his daughter and if he wants to find out what is happening, he’ll show up.
Blane (Ben’s boss?) meets with Ben and Yameli. He isn’t happy because there hasn’t been much progress on their mission. Yameli reports that she is getting ready to get info from Charly, but Blane still insists that their time is running out and they have a lot to lose…especially Yameli.
Toño goes to report to Monchis who wonders if Ben is working alone. Toño replies that the snitch is following the gringo to get more names.
Ben and Yameli walk out of the federal building. Yameli calls Charly to see if they can move up their date, but Charly has other things to do and will see her at the preplanned time. Yameli then gets a text from Erick to ask about meeting. As Ben insists that Yameli try to use Erick to get to Monchis, the snitch take pictures!!
Charly gets to Erick’s place. He needs to talk to Lidia about Monchis who is obsessed with her. He wants Lidia to get out of Mexico and offers to send her to his house in Miami, but Lidia doesn’t want to be too far away from her sons. She has friends in Guadalajara and Aguas Calientes whom she might be able to stay with. Charly wants her to make plans quickly because he wants her out of Mexico City by the next day. Lidia agrees, but she wants Erick and Charly to act as the brothers they are. Charly assures her things are fine and dandy between them. Later when alone, Erick asks Charly is Charly was sincere, but quickly finds out he wasn’t (no, duh!). Charly thinks Erick has so much more to live and understand…what irks him most is that Erick went with Juanjo. When Erick reminds him that Juanjo was his best friend and they had a group…and the chick was the soul of the group, Charly points out that he was the only one to make it big. When Erick is disgusted that Charly can talk about this friends like that, Charly advises him that there are two types of persons—those who are talented and those who grab on to those who are talented. Erick wonders which type Charly is (Viewerville doesn’t wonder, we know!). Outside, Karina watches as Lidia leaves with Charly.
Ep 32: Part 3 Bad Guys Outdo the Good Guys
Erick and Yameli meet at the park to talk. Erick worries that he hasn’t been able to write anything else. Yameli knew someone who wrote like Erick does…she would go to her neighborhood to watch people and she would get inspired. Yameli then tells Erick to observe a couple who is watching a little girl and then to tell her what he sees. Erick sees an impossible love and chants some phrases for a song which Yameli adds to. They get up and start singing their new song (que cute! Mama and son writing a song together and they have no clue!). They hug as Erick tells Yameli that she is a genius. Yameli gets emotional with Erick’s talent…it magic. Erick thinks it’s “their” magic and hopes they can do it more often.
Charly takes Lidia to his house and finds Diana accompanied by a psychologist who is there to work with Vanessa. Charly thinks Diana is overreacting; so Diana tells him the truth about Vanessa leaving with her boyfriend and getting caught with drugs. As the psych interjects that this is the perfect time to intervene, Vanessa walks in so the psych introduces herself and tells Vanessa that she is there to help her. Vanessa laughs hysterically and tells her that her parents are the ones who need help. After Charly asks what she is on, Vanessa locks herself in her bedroom. The intervention group enters the bedroom anyway and two male nurses come in to take Vanessa who pleads with Charly not to let them take her.
Charly takes Lidia home; he wishes she didn’t have to witness what happened in his home. Lidia wishes she had had as strong a hand with Charly…she and Monchis spoiled him. Lidia then advises Charly to try to work things out with Diana since everything they do is affecting Vanessa. When Erick comes in, Charly tells Lidia to prepare everything for her trip to Guadalajara the next day…as Karina listens close by.
Wendy confronts Juanjo at his bar and demands that he explain the messages she saw on his phone. Instead of being upset that she was snooping into his things, Juanjo tells Wendy about Yameli being a DEA agent who is trying to get to Monchis through Charly. Wendy apologizes for getting into Juanjo’s phone and promises never to do it again (and I’m the Queen of England). Afterwards, Juanjo calls Yameli and tells her he needs to talk to her right away.
Toño shows Mochis the picture that the snitch took and tells him that the woman’s name is Lari Andrade. Monchis recognizes her and tries to call Charly, but only gets his voicemail. Toño suggests that they go for Lidia and split, but Monchis wants to get rid of Yameli first…since she doesn’t know who she is messing with.
Oh my, I've missed your glorious recaps Rgv Chick!
I've missed so much (the episodes as well as your other recaps) but am relieved to see that your high caliber of excellence hasn't changed an iota.
My soul was fueled by "Charly won’t go down easy and will fight for every last spoon in the house", "As he grabs and gropes her" and "Juanjo, being gullible as always, thinks nothing more of it". A wonderful, suspenseful, totally engrossing read. Marvelous.
I was actually able to see most of this...
So, my first question is of course when you said "Monchis recognizes her", did you mean he recognized her AS Yameli or just from her "new" incarnation?? And why on earth would Yameli and Ben even speak out in the open?? Amateur hour.
Lidia is in grave danger. I hope she makes it out alive.
For a split second, it seemed as though Erick and Charly bonded. In addition to all his heinous crimes, he kept this father and son from knowing about each other. Probably best for Erick in the long run, but Monchis is the furthest thing from whomever might try to play God. And one more question. I know Charly realized Monchis set Yameli up with drugs many years ago - does he know Monchis had her killed?
I'm sensing a friendship between Erick and Yameli but only the tiniest bubbling of the fact they are parent and child.
And Wendy is playing with fire. And why on earth did Juanjo ever confide in her? This will surely backfire. I hoped she would wake up, finally smell the coffee that has been burning and bow out gracefully. That said, Juanjo is being totally unfair to her. One of them needs to end the relationship now.
While I feel badly for Vanesa, she is so spoiled and selfish and seems so devoid of personality, I am saving my pity for those who really need it here.
How long is Yameli going to be able to put Charly off?? He is already bragging to Axel. Oh, btw, he used to sport a gigantic eagle pendant which he's now changed to something else. I hope to get another look tonight.
Rgv Chick, amazing! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Diana
Diana, Monchis recognized Yameli as Lari, but you ask a very good question because very time Monchis saw Yameli when they kidnapped her along with Charly, Yameli had a hood over her head. I don’t remember Monchis ever seeing Yameli (in the present) at any other time.
Welcome back, Diana, I missed you. I'm always love to read your insightful comments.I
I thought that Charly would want to protect Lidia, and he did seem truly concerned about her. He knows how crazy and violent Mobstro is. However, Now it looks as though Money to will go after Lidia. I wish that she had gone to Miami.
I loved watching mother and son creating a song together. So sweet. Tree>>>>apple. 💗
Ot ...Speaking of Miami, has anyone been watching "Grand Hotel" on channel 6 at 10 pm on Monday night? It is pretty good.
Ot....Speaking of song writing , has anyone been watchingv"Songland" on channel 10 at 10pm on Tuesday night ? Very interesting show.
Ep 33: Part 1 Taken
Juanjo arrives at Yameli’s apartment and tells her that Wendy found the messages he sent to Diana and to Yameli. He had to explain that Yameli is a DEA agent. Yameli becomes upset and worries because her life is at stake. Juanjo argues that he had much at stake too—all he years he had with Wendy and his wedding. Juanjo assures her that he only did it to protect Yameli and her true identity. After Yameli calms down, she ells Juanjo to tell Wendy that she better keep her mouth closed. Juanjo then notices how Yameli is dressed and assumes that she is on her way to see Charly. Yameli admits that she is…and she will do whatever it takes to keep from going back to prison.
While Yameli is on her way to Charly’s house, Charly is getting ready for his big date and looks at pics of him and Vanessa on his phone. Meanwhile, Vanessa is crying her eyes out at the rehab clinic. As Yamli arrives at Charly’s place, the snitchy goon watches her. Yameli enters Charly’s apartment andis received wit hugs, kisses, and compliments. As Charly gets her a drink, he tells her about Vanessa going to the rehab clinic, but refuses to talk about Diana, he would rather thinks and talk about Yameli. Chalry kisses her, but Yamei can’t concentrate because she is still thinking about their kidnapping. Charly tries to make her relax; but when Yameli insists on talking about Monchis and where he is, Charly gets frustrated and tells her that she may as well leave. Yameli quickly changes gears and speeds up the seduction. They move slowly toward the bed as Charly removes Yameli’s clothes… though Yameli looks like she is just doing “whatever it takes” whether she likes it or not.
Later, Yameli and Charly are in bed together. Yameli insists that she is still affected by his uncle. Charly final y gives her some information about where Mochis is to assure her that his uncle is close, but far enough away so that she can feel safe. Yameli goes for a glass of water, but as she texts Ben, Charly comes after her and takes her phone. She distracts him with more kisses and a session on the couch. Meanwhile, Juanjo is in bed worrying about Yameli. When Wendy asks if he is still awake, hetelsl her he has insomnia and a stomach ache.
Next Day—
Vanessa has her first group session with Lisa who is a former coke addict. Vanesa rolls her eyes and thinks that these places just want to get money form people.
Yameli tries to call Ben, but is again interrupted by Charly who wants to spend the morning with her. Yameli has to many things to do and suggests that Charly stay and sleep, but Chalry doesn’t want to sleep; heis ravishes and orders something for breakfast. Afterwards, Charly wants to accompany Yameli wherever she goes.
Erick and Lidia are having breakfast. Erick tells her he has to take his new song to Juanjo. When Lidia comments that Erick is very talented, Erick wonders who he and Charly got it from…he doesn’t think it was from Lidia. Lidia thinks that Charly may have inherited his talent from his father, Adalberto, who played the guitar very well. Erick then asks if Lidia is ready to go to Guadalajara…Charly should be getting there soon. When Erick calls Charly, Charly assures him that he will be there soon. Lidia talks Erick into going to do whatever he has to go do. She promises to call him if anything comes up. As Erick leaves the building, Toño and his goons are in an ambulance ready to strike.
Ep 33: Part 2 Taken
Yameli and Charly exit the building and talk as the snitchy goon takes pictures. After Charly leaves, Yameli calls Ben and tells him she has info and she will go meet with him.
Toño and his goons go into the building with a gurney. After they enter the apartment, Lidia tries to defend herself with a knife, but Toño overpowers her and she is TAKEN!
Vanesa tries to chat with one of the girls at the rehab center, but the girl tells her that this is not a place to make friends. Meanwhile Diana is home alone not wanting to eat. She calls Charly because they need to talk about Vanessa. She received an email from the clinic and wants to send it to him so that he can read it. Later, Diana goes to her bedroom and starts packing Charly’s things. She looks lovingly at an old photo at the beach.
Erick arrives at Juanjo’s studio and gives Jaunjo is new song about impossible love. As Juanjo listens to the song, he recalls his time with Yamei when here was part of their group up until Yameli told him who she really is. When Juanjo asks where he got the inspiration for the song, Erick admits that most of the lyrics were written by Yameli. Juanjo smiles as he says tha Yameli certainly has a gift.
Yameli meets with Ben and gives him the info. Ben thinks it’s not specific enough since there are many haciendas that fit the description, but it’ll do. When Yameli tells him that she wants to go with them when they go in for Monchis, Ben refuses to allow her to go. As Yameli leaves the building, Juanjo calls Yameli, but she doesn’t want to answer; so he leaves her a message to call him because he is worried and wants to know how things went with Charly (no, Juanjo, you don’t want to know).
Charly goes to Lidia’s apartment, but finds no one. He calls her phone several times, but gets the voicemail. Meanwhile, Toño tells Monchis that they brought in Lidia. Before Monchis tells him to bring her in, he tells Toño to make sure the money is ready. Lida comes in questioning why Monchis hadto send his goons after her. She asks him not to do this to her, but Monchis thinks he can do whatever he wants with her because she is his wife. Monchis tells his men to leave them alone and goes to get a drink. After Lidia pours herself one too, she tells him that she doesn’t want to be with him anymore and asks him to leave her alone. Monchis reminds her that he has done so much for her; so he isn’t going to let her go. Lidia questions what he has done…she can’t take it anymore. If she stayed with him it was because Charly loved him so much and she thought it was best for everyone. Monchis knows she loves him. When he grabs her, she slaps him and chides him for the person whom he has become. When she talks abut his brother and what a great man he was and adds that Monchis has done nothing but made her suffer, Monchis asks where that great man is…he is 6 feet under. Monchis points out that he was the one who helped Charly get ahead and brought Erick to her. Lidia still thinks that he was not a good man, a good father and much less a good husband. All the while, Monchis just wanted to turn Charly into himself. Monchis responds that Charly is so much more twisted than she thinks…all he has done is cover up Charly’s messes. She is very naïve because she thinks Charly is an angel…and she believed him when he told her how her husband died…but, in reality, Monchis killed his own brother because he was envious of him and so that he could stay with her. Lidia hates him with all her soul and nothing he can do will change that. Monchis thinks he can change it. Lidia hopes that he has the same fate as his brother…that those whom he loves most will betray him.
RGV Chick: How long are they're going to torture us with the EVIL Alliance winning all of the time ?
Rgv Chick, I hung on every single word of your marvelous recap! A superb recounting.
“Toño overpowers her and she is TAKEN” – perfect.
There were so many vastly different emotions including searing, consuming, terrible pain.
There was steel evident in the backbones of Lidia and Yameli. They are true survivors.
“in reality, Monchis killed his own brother because he was envious of him and so that he could stay with her” must have sliced through Lidia like a burning sword. Hearing that declaration in the face of his crazed countenance must have been shattering. I don’t know how she kept her composure. I was shocked he let her leave. That said, I keep wondering if either Charly and/or Erick will pay the price…
I keep forgetting that Yameli is under threat of returning to prison. While I’m sure that along with wanting revenge provided sufficient fuel to endure her tryst with Charly, I don’t think I could have done it.
“Meanwhile, Juanjo is in bed worrying about Yameli”. Just cringe worthy to watch.
Charly realizing Lidia was “taken” was sobering. If he has any redeeming qualities at all it is that he does love his mother and Vanesa.
“When Wendy asks if he is still awake, he tells her he has insomnia and a stomach ache”. Sigh.
Yameli has good reason to be upset with Juanjo. I don't see Wendy as a pillar of discretion and I hope her snooping doesn't have tragic consequences.
Juanjo and Erick are getting closer - perhaps the beginning of a new family?
If there was anything to smile about, it seemed that Charly is indeed smitten with Yameli. Instead of hurrying her out, he did not want to let her out of his sight. Yameli might wish to take a bit more care with her timing of making phone calls however :)
Rgv Chick, what an exciting recap! Loved every word – thank you!
Diana
It was awful watching this episode with Yami giving in to Charly to get information on Monchis. ALso, we all knew that it would be terrible when Money is found Lidia. I was surprised that she didn't seem more shocked when Money is good her that he killed her husband. Do you think that she suspected it?
Sunny and hot here today. Going up to 90.
Thank you, Rgv Chick.
"Amor imposible" - the song that Eric composed with Yamelí, reminded Juanjo so much his own history with Yamelí. The lyrics of the song talk about the things that in reality happened to Yamelí and Juanjo.
Monchis will now have the pictures of Yamelí with Rizzo and Yamelí with Charly. Something is going to happen pretty soon. Either Rizzo will get Monchis or Monchis will get Yamelí.
Thank you, Diana, Susanlynn and Lucio.
I too cringed as as I watched Yameli giving in to Charly.; she looked annoyed and desperate to get waht hse wanted to get out of there, but Charly's desire was relentless. had Erick not called, Charly would have probably wanted another few rounds with Yameli. What I kept thinking was that Yameli had only been with Charly, or any other man for that matter, only once before, yet she acted like a seasoned woman. Beanie time?
I was also surprised that Lidia didn't act more surprised when Monster Mobster confessed to killing his own brother--her husband...maybe she did suspect something, Susanlynn, but just refused to acknowledge those suspicions.
Lucio, I'm hoping that it will be Rizzo who gets Monchis OR maybe what Lidia hoped for at the end is a hint of what is to come...maybe Charly will be the one to kill Monchis while trying to save his mother or even Yameli. And you are so right about the song, "Amor Imposible" but did Yameli intentionally write it for Juanjo? When Juanjo and Erick were discussing what inspired Erick to write the song, Erick teased Juanjo about being the one who had an impossible love; and Juanjo confided that he didn't actually have an impossible love...it was a love that made him suffer greatly. Erick then correctly assumed that it was the girl in the photo (Yameli).
Alexander, thanks again for the info on the upcoming TN. I'll look into it and add it to the Coming Soon page (sooner or later :-)
So much to talk about...
It seems as though Lidia and Monchis might have lived together, but a long time ago. I get the impression (perhaps incorrectly) that they've lived apart for a while. I don't think Lidia would have continued to stay married to him had she had a real inkling as to what he was really like. He has gotten crueler and bolder, hence the rape and abduction(s). Susanlynn, I don't think it ever crossed her mind that Monchis killed her beloved husband - I really don't.
Lucio, I expect Yameli will be here at the end, but nothing seems impossible. I honestly cannot see her and Juanjo ever being able to put everything behind them, especially Yameli. Friends, with great longing perhaps, but I'd have to be convinced to believe it will be more.
"Juanjo confided that he didn't actually have an impossible love...it was a love that made him suffer greatly" said it all Rgv Chick!
Oooh, can't wait until tonight.
Diana
Chickue, old Charly was the Energizer Bunny 🐇 last night. Ick. I don't know how Yami did it after knowing how he betrayed her . I didn't realize that she will go back to jail if they cannot get Monchis.
Diana, I didn't think that Lidia knew that Monchis killed her husband, but we here on the patio suspected it. I just was surprised that she didn't freak out completely when he told her that he killed him . I would have expected her to go berserk hearing that for the first time.
Jack, where are you? Yami is in trouble.
Susanlynn, thanks for asking the question. I thought he was Ben. Ben Rizzo? I'm confused too.
And I think that after Monchis raped her, Lidia quietly died inside. I think her rage was there but mixed with shock and surprise, her reaction came through with a quiet anger. I think she might have also thought of her children to remain calm. He is completely crazy and maybe she thought she didn't want him retaliating with them. Again, I was flabbergasted he let her go.
I fear Jack will not be seen again. I still feel he is the best person for Yameli for many reasons. I'd love to be proven wrong.
Diana
Honestly Yameli knew she was going to do this from the get-go. A part of her wanted to, but she was repulsed by the idea. Remember the lyrics for that song she wrote for Charly? That was for her, wishing he'd do it for her. And he would have been forgiven.
Susanlynn, Diana, the DEA agent's name is Ben Rizzo. Yamelí always calls him Rizzo. Even his own voicemail greeting says "You have reached Rizzo" or something like that.
I'd like to think that Yamelí's sacrifice was not in vain. She got out of Charly that Monchis is at a horse ranch in the area of San Nicolás de Los Ranchos. Maybe adding to what Chente told Rizzo they can narrow it down.
Ep 33: Part 1 Bang, Bang! Are They Dead?
Monchis calls Charly and tells him that Lidia is with him. When Charly threatens to kill him if he harms her, Monchis tells him that he is in no position to be threatening him…and he’d better not go to the cops or he will kill Lidia. Charly asks him to calm down and tell him where they are, but Monchis again threatens to kill him if he shows up there. Charly should forget about them.
Erick is getting home when Charly calls him and tells him that Monchis has their mother. They can meet at Luxor to talk.
At the rehab center, Vanessa is in another group session. When Lisa asks who wants to share something, a young girl speaks up and tells them that she lost custody of her little girl. She has messed up many times doing different kinds of drugs. She has a precious daughter, Sofi, who is five years old, and the girl couldn’t even stay clean for her daughter. She is there for her daughter and to move forward.
Axel goes into Charly’s office and tells him that there is someone there with some money. When he asks if there will be a concert, Charly replies that there will be no concert, but Axel should keep quiet about it. Axel then tells Charly that the man doesn’t have very much money to return since the sales of the concert tickets flopped.
Juanjo is with Yameli wondering why she is crying. When Yameli asks why he is there, Juanjo replies that he was worried and asks if she saw Charly. Yameli confesses that she slept with Charly…because her life is at risk. Juanjo sarcastically tells her that he is glad she got what she wanted and wonders if she will continue sleeping with Charly until she gets everything else she wants. Juanjo is upset because he kept calling her and all the while she was with him. When he asks Yameli if she liked it, she tells him to go to hell and adds that if he knew her, he’d know that she didn’t like it. Juanjo thinks she is right; he doesn’t know her because the Yameli he knew would have never stooped so low. Yameli counters that only she knows how she is because she lives it. She is close to getting to Monchis and no one, not even Juanjo, can judge her for what she is doing.
Erick gets to Charly’s office and asks if Charly has called the police. Charly can’t because Monchis will kill their mother. Erick wonders why Charly wasn’t with Lidia since he had said that he was close by when Erick called him. When Erick thinks that Charly told Monchis where they were, Charly replies that he is stupid to think that. Charly doesn’t know what to do; so Erick asks him to tell him where Monchis is so he can go to the cops but Charly reminds him that if they go to the cops, they will kill his mother…they will kill all of them. Erick is not afraid and he won’t stay with his arms crossed.
Toño has more info for Monchis and he isn’t going to like it. When Toño shows Monchis the pictures of Yameli and Charly, he adds that the DEA might be trying to get info from Charly. Monchis interprets it as Charly ratting on him. Monchis doesn’t think Charly would be stupid enough to betray him after all he has done for Charly. He tells Toño to get Mojarras and Karina.
Vanessa and the young girl talk outside. Vanessa tries to encourage her and tells her that her daughter will know she is trying to improve. Vanessa now knows that her parents sent her there because they love her. As they chat, Vanessa and the young girl realize that they both like to draw and paint.
Ep 33: Part 2 Bang, Bang! Are They Dead?
At the radio station, Juanjo calls Erick who is late for his audition, but only gets his voicemail. El Buho tells Juanjo that he can’t wait any longer and starts the auditions. Meanwhile, Erick finds Serg because he needs a favor—he needs to find Monchis. Erick knows that Serg knows a lot of people who might know where Monchis is. Serg knows a guy who works for a gang that protects Monchis; he will try to call him.
Toño tells Mojarras that they will need some motorcycles and weapons. When Toño shows Mojarras the picture of who the are going to hit, Mojarras tells them that the girl is the one they brought in with Charly—the girl works for Charly at the studio. After Monchis tells them that they need to make the hits on the agents today, he adds that they should also get rid of Charly.
Yameli goes to see Charly at his office. When he asks why she lied about the ticket sales, Yameli replies that she thought sales would pick up. Charly then tells Yameli that Monchis kidnapped his mother.
Lidia is at a chapel praying that Mochis gets caught…he cannot go on doing so much harm. Monchis then comes in and tells Lidia that Charly is collaborating with the DEA. Lidia doesn’t believe it; Charly is incapable of doing anything against Monchis since he loves him. When Lidia adds that Charly could have turned him already since Charly knows where the ranch is, Monchis thinks that Charly hasn’t turned him in because he has Lidia and can hurt her. Lidia suggests that Monchis talk to Charly, but Monchis knows that Charly is a liar…Charly only thinks of himself and if he continues on that road, bad things will happen to Charly. Lidia warns Monchis that he’d better not hurt Charly or she will kill Monchis herself. She then tells Monchis to kill her instead…for getting involved with a guy like him
Charly tells Yameli that Monchis had been looking for his mother for several days. When Yameli suggests that he call the police, Charly tells her that he can’t because Monchis will kill his mother.
At the rehab center, Lisa introduces a new member. Vanessa looks shocked as she watches Ruco approach and sit down to introduce himself. He tells them that he is there because he is no saint. When Ruco gives them his BS about why he is there and how he wants to get better, Vanessa gets annoyed and walks away.
Erick and Serg meet with a man who knows Mojarras; so Erick pays him to give Mojarras a message to deliver to Monchis. It’s Erick phone number and he wants Monchis to call him.
Ep 33: Part 3 Bang, Bang! Are They Dead?
Monchis calls Charly who is still with Yameli. Monchis calls him a rat…he will never seen his mother again; and Charly should ask himself what Monchis will do to him for being a snitch for the DEA. Charly has no idea what he is talking about. Monchis then tells Charly to tell his little friends that they will never catch him… he is leaving and anyone who gets in his way will die…and that includes Charly, Lidia and his brother. Monchis adds that if Charly continues as a snitch, he will send his mother to him…in pieces. After Charly hangs up, Charly blames himself for everything that is happening. When Yameli insists that he call the cops, Charly reiterates that he can’t because Monchis will kill his family…and now Monchis is accusing him of working with the DEA. Yameli wonders why Monchis would say that, but Charly doesn’t know…his uncle is crazy and hysterical. After Yameli again insists that Charly call the cops and tell them where Monchis is, Charly gives her directions to where the ranch is. When Charly asks for a bottle of liquor, Yameli goes to get it and immediately calls Ben to give him the directions. Yameli asks Ben to be careful because Monchis has Lidia; and Ben assures her that they will rescue Lidia.
Toño and Karina discuss killing Charly. Karina thinks it’s a pity to kill Charly since he is so HAWT. Toño promises to let her grope the body after Chary is dead.
Juanjo chides Erick for not showing up for the audition. El Buho is going to give him another chance, but Erick better not let Juanjo down. When Erick gives Juanjo his word that he will show up, Juanjo tells him that actions, not words, will help him succeed.
Mojarras takes Monchis is lunch as Monchis wonders is he is a good husband ( uh..NO!) Monchis then calls Toño who tells him that Charly and Yameli have not come out of the building; so Monchis tells him to make sure and call him when the hit on Charly has been made.
Charly has finished his bottle of liquor and wants to go home since he can’t do much.
Mojarras gives Monchis Erick’s message. Monchis curses that everyone wants to talk to him now that he took their mother.
El Buho and Juanjo are waiting for Erick again, but Erick hasn’t shown up; so El Buho takes in a girl for an audition.
Monchis worries that Toño and Karina are taking too long. Mojarras is to call them and tell then to hurry because he wants to leave ASAP.
Monchis calls Erick. Erick doesn’t want to argue with Monchis; he just wants Monchis to let Lidia go. Erick is willing to talk it over with Monchis, but Monchis tells him that he and Lidia are leaving to a faraway place...somewhere where they can walk freely without any problems; they will start a new life. When Erick asks to talk to his mother, Monchis agrees, but will call Erick later from another phone.
Yameli and Charly walk to Charly’s car. Yameli tells him to go to his house; she will meet up with him later because she has some pills to take for her anxiety, but Charly won’t let her leave on her own and insists on taking her home. Toño and Karina are on their motorcycles and watch them as they leave. As they follow them, Yameli spots them and tells Charly that they are being followed. After Charly tells her to keep an eye on them, T and K quickly catch up and shoot at them causing them to crash. Seeing that Yameli and Charly are out, Toño remarks, “His name was Charly” and they speed off.
"Bang, Bang! Are They Dead?" Wow. You captured the on the edge of your seat action perfectly Rgv Chick. Your level of detail is incredible. Excellent.
"... Monchis tells him that he and Lidia are leaving to a faraway place...somewhere where they can walk freely without any problems; they will start a new life". Ummm, really? In his delusional obsessive haze, Monchis still does not comprehend he has lost Lidia. It stands to reason that if he kills Charly, she will likely forfeit her own life to escape him.
There are far more casualties of this vengeance war stacking up and far too quickly.
"When he asks Yameli if she liked it, she tells him to go to hell and adds that if he knew her, he’d know that she didn’t like it. Juanjo thinks she is right; he doesn’t know her because the Yameli he knew would have never stooped so low". I think this says all that needs to be said. And while I could never put myself in Yameli's shoes, I am even further convinced these two cannot be together. Too much damage, too much water under the bridge.
"Charly has finished his bottle of liquor and wants to go home since he can’t do much". Unlike Erick...Also, who knew Serge was so well connected?
"Karina thinks it’s a pity to kill Charly since he is so HAWT. Toño promises to let her grope the body after Chary is dead". A little gang humor - ugh.
I don't know what game Ruco is playing. I hope her rehab succeeds, but can't say that I care too deeply about Vanesa...
Pivotal episode tonight - Rgv Chick, thank you - this was great!
Diana
Thank you, Rgv Chick.
When talking about Charly with Monchis, Lidia says "Charly is not like that. He is not a liar." Monchis: "Lidia, you have absolutely no idea who Charly is in reality and things that he has done." So true.
Ruco's parents must be doing well to be able to get him out of jail and into this upscale rehab. But what bad luck for Vanesa. Now her improvement is in doubt.
Sloppy work by Toño. Go and make sure the job is done. In addition, not even checking on Karina who had an accident and was thrown out of her bike, just leaving her there.
Monchis is quite the delusional one isn't he, Diana. Though he reminds me of Armenta in Amar a Muerte, I think Monchis is worse...the personification of evil..he even looks despicable. And it does look hopeless for Yameli and Juanjo, but I won't fret about it because Juanjo is proving to be quiet a wuss. Yameli should give him some of her backbone...she has more than enough to spare. If she is doing all of this without knowing that her son is alive, can you imagine what she would do if she knew he was so close?
Lucio, ITA about Toño. It is difficult to interpret the Spanish goon language. Monchis told Toño to "dale el piso" to Charly. I figured that meant to kill him, but could it also mean tha Monchis just wanted Toño to hurt Charly? That would explain why Toño didn't make sure Charly was dead. OTOH, Monchis did make it clear that he wanted the agents dead and that would include Yameli...and Toño didn't make sure she was dead either.
I think Monchis has Lidia pegged quite well. She is very naive...and blind. She is surrounded by evil and, though she knows it, she chooses not to see the extent of that evil.
"Lidia's naïveté doesn't excuse her relationship with her brother in law," I am in total agreement. I just wonder what Monchis would have done if she had never agreed to marry him. I think she'd be dead if she hadn't.
"And it does look hopeless for Yameli and Juanjo, but I won't fret about it because Juanjo is proving to be quiet a wuss. Yameli should give him some of her backbone...she has more than enough to spare. If she is doing all of this without knowing that her son is alive, can you imagine what she would do if she knew he was so close?"
Oh my! Loved that Rgv Chick...Juanjo is a nice guy but just isn't worthy. Wuss is right! And Yameli is all that. Courage and more. Much, much more.
I cannot wait til tonight. I'll be clutching my computer trying to type the recap while keeping one eye on the screen. It's said we can do more than one thing at once! It will be evident if I can or can't tomorrow! LOL.
Diana
Yikes ..Monchis is indeed a crazy monster. I don't think Charly and Yami are dead, but I dont think Lidi a will survive this show.
Does anyone know how many episodes are left?
Hot, sunny day here.
