Ep 60: Part 1 Never Can Say Goodbye…Unless It’s Someone You Don’t Love
Today’s episode starts with a FFW of the traffic in Mexico City and DJ Mike playing Irma’s song. Meanwhile, at Luxor, Irma is doing some retakes of her songs as Charly and Axel ogle her. Charly thinks Irma is e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g! Axel watches him and tells him to cut…it…out; he knows that look Charly has and reminds him that Irma is his brother’s girlfriend…and BTW, if Irma is going to be anybody’s, she will be Axel’s. Charly doesn’t think so and if Irma happens to look his way, he won’t be to blame. Charly stops Irma and calls her over. Charly sweettalks her with accolades about her song. Irma feels bad about Diana; so Charly tells her that they all feel bad, but Diana had plans for her…that Irma sing a duet with him. Irma is very grateful for his support and doesn’t know how to show her appreciation; so Charly only asks for a kiss and a hug…which he thoroughly enjoys as he grabs her by the waist. Once Irma leaves the room, Axel looks at Charly with annoyance and disgust.
Detective Bowtie interrogates Zaria who tells him that she received the video by mail and it was anonymously. She isn’t sure why Yameli selected her, but it could be because of her own problems with Charly…Yameli must have thought she would be empathic. Later, Detective Bowtie then interrogates Roberto, Diana’s attorney, who tells him that if Charly told him that he and Diana were going to reconcile, Charly is lying…there was no chance of a reconciliation. Roberto then mentions that Charly agreed to the division of the assets which would leave Diana with 70% of the company. Bowtie thinks that is very interesting.
Wendy arrives at Surround Vibes where Cris waits for her. They talk about their celebration and Wendy assures him there will be another celebration when Cris’s song is a hit.
At La Pecera, Juanjo sees Pati with a friend. After the friend leaves, Pati asks Juanjo what is wrong since he looks terrible. When Juanjo confides that things are worse with Wendy, Pati is surprised since they are trying to have a baby (Oh, boy!). Juanjo is shocked; so Pati explains what Wendy told her… and that Wendy asked her not to tell anyone.
Serg and Irma arrive at Erick’s place. After Erick and Irma leave for an appointment with Juanjo, Serg stays with Vanessa who still feels bad about her mother. She shares about going to pack her mother’s things and fears that she may fall off the wagon. Serg assures her that she has many people who love her and will keep her from falling. He then suggests that they go out to get her mind off of things.
Detective Bowtie has called back Charly for questioning. When Bowtie tells him that they have found a third person who they are considering as a suspect—Toño who worked for Monchis—Charly asks what Toño would be doing at Luxor…and implies that Toño was Lareli’s accomplice. Bowtie then brings up that Diana’s attorney assured him that there were no plans for reconciliation, so Charly reiterates that he and Diana had not told anyone about their plans.
At Serg’s house, Estela (Serg’s mom) is listening to a news report about Toño being a suspect in Diana’s murder. She comments to Yameli that this is good news for her, but Yameli doesn’t want to get her hopes up. Estela then suggests that they pray…and adds that Yameli has to do it with much devotion or it won’t work.
Vanessa and Serg go to a skating park. Serg tries to show off his skateboarding skills (which he has never done), but he quickly falls down.
Ep 60: Part 2 Never Can Say Goodbye…Unless It’s Someone You Don’t Love
Cris and Lucho are working on Cris’s song when Juanjo arrives. After listening to it for a few seconds, Juanjo makes his suggestions and asks that the song be sent to him when the changes are made. Wendy arrives, but Juanjo is ready to leave and coldly tells her that he will meet her at the car. On his way out, Juanjo sees Erick and Irma. He forgot about their appointment and asks that they reschedule since he has so much on his mind. After Juanjo leaves, Cris comes out and warns Irma about working with Charly, but Irma doesn’t heed his advice and thinks Cris should mind his own business (was that cold or what?). Outside, Juanjo calls Yameli to discuss the news about Toño. Yameli is not very optimistic, so Juanjo tells her to have faith, but Yameli doesn’t think faith will resolve anything. As they talk, Wendy comes out, so Juanjo hangs up and they leave together.
At Luxor, Charly calls Toño in a panic because the cops know he was a Luxor…it’s all over the news. Toño retorts that he already knows…and Charly should stop bothering him because he is trying to hide. Charly calls him an idiot…he shouldn’t be trying to hide; he should just get out of the country. After Toño hangs up on him, Charly gets a call and start mouthing off at Toño, but it’s Vanessa who is calling to invite him to lunch. Charly is too busy and suggests they see each other the next day. After Charly hangs up, he starts to feel guilty and grabs a family photo as his song, “Perdoname,” plays.
Detective Bowtie interrogates Javier and asks about the incident at the funeral home. Javier admits that he interrupted the service; he wanted to tell Charly what he thought of him…that he is scum…and a liar; it is not true that he was trying to reconcile with Diana. After Bowtie comments that Charly says otherwise, he asks Javier if he has any proof that Charly is lying. Javier tells Bowtie about the incident at Diana’s apartment where Charly arrived and started arguing with Diana; they both had very strong words for each other. When Bowtie asks if he is willing to give a statement, Javier is more than glad to do it.
Erick arrives back at his home and talks to Vanessa who is still mourning and trying to be strong. Vanesa responds that she has tried to go out and distract herself, but she misses her mother very much…she feels that she is going to forget her mother. When she wonders what will happen if all the pain she is feeling doesn’t go away, Erick thinks that the pain will never go away, but in time, she will feel better. In the meantime, she needs to know that she is not alone; he will always be there for her. In another room, Lidia looks at the report on Toño when Erick comes in. She doesn’t understand what Toño has to do with what happened to Diana. When Erick points out that this means Lareli is telling the truth, Lidia rolls her eyes and explains that Toño was a sicario for Monchis, but Monchis is no longer there…so what does Toño have to do with their family and Diana. Erick thinks that there are still puzzle pieces missing, but Lidia wants him to stop defending that woman…as far as they know, she is a murderer.
Ep 60: Part 3 Never Can Say Goodbye…Unless It’s Someone You Don’t Love
Juanjo and Wendy arrive at their home. Juanjo tells her that they need to talk (uh-oh, dreaded words). When he asks if she told Pati that they were trying to have a baby, Wendy doesn’t deny it because it’s true. Juanjo reminds her that they had agreed to wait, but Wendy doesn’t understand why they should wait. Juanjo then asks about the pills she is taking; so Wendy confesses that she is no longer taking them. Juanjo can’t believe she could confess it with such ease; and Wendy retorts that he is behaving as if having a child with her is the worst idea. They argue until Juanjo tells her that he needs to be honest with her (here it comes!) …she deserves to have a family and to have all the children she wants, but he doesn’t share that dream. When Wendy concedes and tells Juanjo that she can wait until he wants children, Juanjo shakes his head and explains that he doesn’t want her to wait for something he can’t give her. She deserves to have all the children she wants, have a beautiful family, be with someone who loves her and takes care of her. Juanjo adores her very much…but he doesn’t love her. Wendy cries and blames Yameli…since she arrived, they have had so many problems. Yameli was her friend and Wendy helped them and kept their secret. When Juanjo adds that he takes full responsibility for “this decision,” Wendy wonders what decision he is talking about. Juanjo, with much regret, tells her that they can’t go on together. Wendy argues that married couples always have problems and they can work it out, Juanjo, however, insists that they can’t...the mistake was his since the very beginning…he was not sincere because he was afraid to hurt her. When Wendy reminds him that they just got married and wonders if that means nothing to him, Juanjo responds that it does mean a lot to him; she doesn’t know how it hurts him and how hard it is for him. Juanjo knows that what lies ahead will be very difficult, but it’s the best for both of them. Wendy quickly counters that it’s what’s best for Yameli. Juanjo argues that Yameli has nothing to do with it (we beg to differ!). This is his decision…he tried to make things work. Wendy retorts that he only tried until he found out that Yameli was alive…now Wendy feels that she is the third wheel. Juanjo tries to explain that what they had was real. Wendy wonders why then, he won’t try again; so Juanjo calmly replies that he can’t…he can’t continue hurting her and he continue lying to her or to himself. She deserves someone who truly loves her…and the best thing is to end things definitely. Wendy cries and locks herself in the bedroom. Juanjo goes after her and asks her to open the door, but she refuses. As she cries, Wendy listens to Juanjo ask her to forgive him.
At Serg’s place, Yameli is commenting to Serg that his mother is very sweet and that she is very grateful to them when Erick arrives. After mother and son give each other a very strong, but tender hug, Erick comments that he thought she would look happier since there has been confirmation that she was telling the truth. Yameli responds that she is working on being more optimistic…and smile more.
Charly is at his office listening to Yameli’s statement when Axel walks in and plops himself down. Charly turns to him and asks what he would say if the cops were to ask what the relationship was between Lareli and Toño. Axel is dumbfounded with the question and responds that he would say nothing because he questions what some guy who worked with his uncle had to do with Lareli or Diana. Charly then plants a seed in Axel’s pea brain—the day Monchis had him kidnapped, Lareli was with him. Lareli must have known Toño and contacted him later…to kill Diana.
Ep 60: Part 4 Never Can Say Goodbye…Unless It’s Someone You Don’t Love
Back at Serg’s, Erick questions Yameli about Toño—how does she know him and how was she able to identify him. Yameli explains that when the incident happened with Monchis, Toño was there and she saw his face. Erick then wonders why Toño would want to hurt her; so Yameli clarifies that Toño was trying to hurt Diana and she went to help Diana…it has to do with Charly. When Yameli asks if Vanessa saw the video, Erick is honest and tells her that she did, but it didn’t help much…Yameli needs to understand that Vanessa just lost her mother and is confused. Erick suggests that Yameli give it some time; Vanessa will eventually learn that she is innocent. Yameli does understand because she too lost her parents in a very violent manner…she will tell Erick about it some day. Before Erick leaves, he orders Serg to let him know if Yameli needs anything…and Yameli thanks God that she has Erick and Juanjo because she wouldn’t know what she would do without them.
Next Day—
Juanjo has his things packed; he is going to live with his siblings until he finds somewhere to live. Wendy hugs him and asks him to forgive her. As he leaves, Wendy sobs inconsolably.
The title was picture perfect Rgv Chick. Your recap was thoughtful, honest and incredibly engrossing. You captured the upsetting and sad events masterfully and vividly. Nothing escaped your wise, perceptive eye. Another exceptional outing.
“Charly then plants a seed in Axel’s pea brain—the day Monchis had him kidnapped, Lareli was with him. Lareli must have known Toño and contacted him later…to kill Diana” was outrageous yet so far from reality, it might have inadvertently held a false grain of truth for someone not privy to all of the facts.
“Juanjo argues that Yameli has nothing to do with it (we beg to differ!)”. Do we ever!!!
“As he leaves, Wendy sobs inconsolably”. Painful sigh.
And yet… “When Wendy reminds him that they just got married and wonders if that means nothing to him, Juanjo responds that it does mean a lot to him; she doesn’t know how it hurts him and how hard it is for him”. Really Juanjo? You are breaking your wife’s heart and yet you cruelly convolute this to be about you??? You were to blame from the start. First, being with Wendy when you didn’t love her. Next, marrying her when you didn’t love her. And third, emotionally betraying her when you didn’t love her. This is why I am having an impossible time trying to embrace this utterly selfish galan.
I’m rarely right but I had a suspicion from the beginning that Charly was going to put the moves on Irma. Why not? He can get revenge on the brother he’s never cared for and tick Axel off who he knows likes her. Two birds with one stone. “Once Irma leaves the room, Axel looks at Charly with annoyance and disgust”. Yes, but will he do anything – or will he remain silent as he always does and just go along?? I suspect Axel’s make or break moment will be coming shortly.
“Cris comes out and warns Irma about working with Charly, but Irma doesn’t heed his advice and thinks Cris should mind his own business (was that cold or what?)”. It was! Cris seemed earnest in his sentiments. Conversely, I thought that Erick took notice. I am really afraid for Irma.
Lidia rolls her eyes and explains that Toño was a sicario for Monchis, but Monchis is no longer there…so what does Toño have to do with their family and Diana”. Really Lidia??? Are you still that gullible?
From what I can see, the case is looking bad against Charly. What is lacking is evidence to clear Yameli.
“Estela then suggests that they pray…and adds that Yameli has to do it with much devotion or it won’t work”. I believe in the power of prayer and think there are more here who should be joining in.
Rgv Chick, thank you for an amazing summary. As good as the episode was, your recap outshone it at every turn. Thank you!
Diana
I liked the title...Jackson 5, I think.
Charley had "that" look on his face when he was talking to Irma, so I realized that he was putting the moves on her. Some guys just think they have to win all the females they encounter . To quote my favorite singer Michael McDonald and one of my favorite songs, "What a fool believes, he sees."
With all his investigating, does Bowtie realize that Lari is actually Yameli and that she was working with DEA to get Monchis? He should if they are really investigating properly.
Well, have a good day all.
Good morning Rgv Chick. Ah, I love it when there's a song in the title, because then that song will be playing in my head all day. Never can say good-bye...no, no, no no....
Except, as you pointed out, and Diana as well, Juanjo didn't have that much trouble saying good-bye.
." Wendy quickly counters that it’s what’s best for Yameli. Juanjo argues that Yameli has nothing to do with it (we beg to differ!). "
It's certainly much easier to say good-bye when you're ready to shake someone off like the dust on your feet and run to the person you really want. I always laugh, when the person doing the leaving says "Let's not make this any harder than it is." It's only hard on one person, bro, the one being left.
The writers seem to be serving up Chris as a consolation prize for Wendy, but he doesn't look like much of a prize to me. But whatever. It's just a story!
I love the little homey touches the writers throw in. Like when Detective Bowtie (love that name! Rgv Chick) asks Zaria if she was born in April because her name means "blossom" and that's when the flowers start to bloom. What a way to establish a connection with someone you're interrogating!
And the other thing that struck me was the ugliness of Toño's living situation in contrast to Charlie's. Toño seems to be hanging out in a shed filled with junk. "Dining" on a can of tuna fish and a box of crackers. Not exactly high times compared to Charly's luxurious Luxor facilities.
As viewers, we can enjoy these little details. As a recapper, you're scrambling to get the dialog down--in translation yet!--and pull it altogether into a coherent essay. Thanks so much for your heroic effort night after night. You're the best. Next to Star of course, who's our feisty never-say-down-or-done heroine!
Thank you, Rgv Chick.
Irma rebuffed the unsolicited advice from Chris, but in this case, Chris is right. In Luxor, with Charly, Irma will be doing what is good for Charly. He already has dibs on Irma, knowing she is his brother's girlfriend, and it hasn't been a week since his wife was murdered.
Axel knows Charly has some dealings with Toño. He was present when they agreed to go meet with Don Edgar. So who is Toño with? Lari, the DEA agent? Or Charly? Axel has enough information to put two and two together and see that Charly is involved. He just doesn't want to.
Susanlynn, "With all his investigating, does Bowtie realize that Lari is actually Yameli and that she was working with DEA to get Monchis?" - He actually works in the same building, someone here called "DEA Central," where Yamelí visited Rizzo many times. They may have crossed paths in the hall.
Good Morning, Patio. It seems we are all on the same page regarding Juanjo; he lost LOTS of points last night...woe is he. I could not believe they used the "Let's not make this any harder than it is" line when he was leaving. Diana, "You are breaking your wife’s heart and yet you cruelly convolute this to be about you???" I asked that same question. I've never really cared for WEndy, but she certainly didn't deserve this. So what are her options now? And was she successful in getting pregnant? That would put a real twist on Juanjo plans.
Lidia was also disappointing last night. She now knows tah Tono is involved and she refuses to make that connection that will absolve Yameli of any guilt....but then, Lidia is a mother and she can't see through her pretentious, lying son.
Lucio, "Axel has enough information to put two and two together and see that Charly is involved. He just doesn't want to." Exactly! I'm just waiting for that day to come when Axel finally accepts that Charly is needs to be stopped. and does something about it. And about Detective Bowtie--"He actually works in the same building, someone here called "DEA Central," where Yamelí visited Rizzo many times. They may have crossed paths in the hall." Thanks for pointing that out. I completely missed that it was the same building.
Susanlynn, "To quote my favorite singer Michael McDonald and one of my favorite songs, "What a fool believes, he sees." Now that would be a great title; I'll be writing it down for a future episode.
I hit "publish before i finished...oops!
JudyB, I could just ditto your whole commentary. But I especially want to thank you for adding:
I love the little homey touches the writers throw in. Like when Detective Bowtie (love that name! Rgv Chick) asks Zaria if she was born in April because her name means "blossom" and that's when the flowers start to bloom. What a way to establish a connection with someone you're interrogating!
And the other thing that struck me was the ugliness of Toño's living situation in contrast to Charlie's. Toño seems to be hanging out in a shed filled with junk. "Dining" on a can of tuna fish and a box of crackers. Not exactly high times compared to Charly's luxurious Luxor facilities.
I'm liking Detective Bowtie more and more. That little tidbit of information regarding Zaria's name was interesting and more so coming from him. It sure caught Zaria off guard...or maybe she had never bothered to look up the meaning of her name.
What a contrast in the living situations of the two "partners in crime!" But I'm sure Tono is used to it. It would be nice to see Charly living as Tono is living.
"Irma rebuffed the unsolicited advice from Chris, but in this case, Chris is right. In Luxor, with Charly, Irma will be doing what is good for Charly. He already has dibs on Irma, knowing she is his brother's girlfriend, and it hasn't been a week since his wife was murdered".
Lucio, thank you for the reminder. I was so angry at Juanjo I momentarily seemed to forget who the (real) bad guy is here.
It has only been a week, hasn't it? Earlier on, I kept trying to give Charly some points for humanity (he is Erick's father after all), but a few half-hearted tears do not repentance make.
Diana
Rgv Chick, I also wanted to mention I loved your "woe is he" in reference to Juanjo.
I don't believe there was any scene involving Wendy last night that could be criticized. Why? In thinking back, Wendy has seemed like a different person when she is in Chris' company. She is genuinely smiling and seems far more comfortable and relaxed than we've ever seen her with Juanjo. I'm not crazy about him either but he is truly appreciative of her help and support and that must be rather a novelty for her.
Every discussion or interaction with Juanjo is bruising for Wendy. I can't imagine how exhausting it must have been for her, knowing all along Juanjo loves Yameli. I don't think he is worth all the anxiety and emotional suffering she endured. While I agree that Chris is not that great, perhaps she will have a friend to lean on.
I really hope the writers don't take Wendy down a dark road. I'd rather she leave with her head held high as the wife scorned. Which of course is exactly what she is. Ack.
Diana
Hi Jordan! I'm glad you asked the question about El Dragon. I am sort of hoping it will replace Reina when it ends.
I also thought Ringo (which looks really great to me - our Pierre Louis is in that as well) would be coming shortly. I'm afraid that will air at 10 at some point.
9:00 already seems to be spoken for with" El corazón nunca se equivoca" The Heart is Never Wrong, a continuation of Mi marido tiene familia, focusing on Aristoteles and Temo. What a cast it has - Laura Flores (whom I haven't seen since she went to Telemundo), Sergio Sendel, Leticia Calderon and our Laura Vignatti.
Diana
Diana: Charly will up the ante even further against Yameli. I wouldn't be shocked if he has more cronies in his back pocket.
It would be awesome if El Dragon would replace "Reina" but it could also replace "Sin Miedo a la Verdad" since that TN only has 21 episodes.
Diana, I've been waiting for "Ringo" too! If it does air "soon" that could be what is replacing "Reina" since that would be a more appropriate time to air that type of TN.
I can't say anything for sure, though. Maybe our illustrious Alexander will pop in with some information.
What are Ringo and Dragon about? Any familiar faces in those two? Will we ever see Fernando or Big Ed again ?
Susanlynn, Laura Vignetti was Daniela on MMTF...the purple-haired girl. And you can find info on Ringo and El Dragon here...
http://caraycaray.blogspot.com/2019/04/coming-to-screen-near-you-april-7-2109.html
Steve, you watched sueno de nightmare, right?? Laura was in that too!
Thanks for the info Rgv Chick. Both shows look great!
Susanlynn, I'm very sad but I have a feeling we won't be seeing Ed Yanez as a lead anytime soon. Or Fernando for that matter. But Dragon has Sebastian Rulli, whom I always enjoy. Ringo's lead is Jose Ron whom I've come to like. And if either is on at 10, as much as I will hate to, I will need to pass. Were you watching Corazon Salvaje '09? We stayed with it even when it moved to midnight! That had one of my favorite scenes with Laura Flores as Ed Yanez' dying mother. Yes, it's not a typo. And of course, she is younger than he. I can't describe it but the backdrop, rocks over a windy, high sea was one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. And of course Laura and Leticia worked together (with Arturo Peniche) in El Nombre del Amor so this is chock full of favorites.

Ep 61: Part 1 Too Many Lies and Too Much Honesty
Juanjo is with Detective Bowtie who tells him that they have confirmed that there was a third person involved…but that doesn’t mean that Lareli was not involved in the crime. Juanjo scoffs at the thought that that they believe Lareli would work with Toño. When he shows Bowtie the video of Charly meeting with Toño, Bowtie tells him that the video is of no use to them. They can’t discard any leads on the case, especially since they found Lareli’s prints on the gun. When Juanjo explains that Lareli was unconscious and Toño probably put the gun in her hands, Bowtie wonders how it is that Juanjo has so much information; so Juanjo admits that Lareli has communicated with him…but he has no way to contact her. After Juanjo leaves the police station, he notices that he is being tailed; however, he manages to lose the cops.
Charly goes to visit Lidia who tells him that Vanessa is very depressed…he should spend more time with her and consider taking her to live with him, but Charly is too busy at Luxor and has many problems to resolve. When Lidia brings up Toño and how he could be connected to Lareli, Charly suggests that Toño and Lareli might be accomplices. Lidia still doesn’t understand how the two could be connected. When she asks if Toño tried to contact Charly, Charly quickly retorts that he has had no contact with Toño…he just wants the cops to find the connection so that the cops can catch Lareli and put her in jail. After Lidia hopes that they can soon put an end to everything, Charly points out that no one has asked him how is…it is his fault that everything happened…because he met that woman. Charly then goes to see Vanessa who tells him she is not doing well; she was dreaming of her mother. When she asks when things will be over, Charly gets a call from Carolina, but he ignores it because he wants to spend time with Vanessa. (He actually looks so innocent and sincere as he lies next to Vanessa…but he is NOT!)
Juanjo arrives at his sibling’s apartment with his luggage. After they tease him about sleeping on the kitchen floor, they all go inside.
DJ Mike plays Irma’s song. Meanwhile, Irma and Erick finish up a basketball game. After Irma tells Erick that she has to take her mother to an appointment, but refuses to have Erick go with her, Erick looks at her suspiciously as she walks away.
At Surround, Wendy drags in with a long face, When Cris arrives, he tells her about a melody he found on the internet, but Wendy is too distraught to listen and asks for a few minutes. Cris follows her and tells her that he is there for whatever she needs.
Juanjo meets outside with El Buho. When Juanjo tells him about leaving Wendy, El Buho offers Juanjo a room at his house. After Juanjo declines, El Buho gives him some interesting news…DJ Mike is getting paid under the table for playing Irma’s song. Juanjo thinks it has to be Charly who is behind everything.
At Surround Vibes, Cris tries to get Wendy to listen to some music he found on the internet. When Wendy frowns, Cris tells her that he is there for her and offers to help her in whatever she needs. Wendy shares that it’s personal problems, but sweettalkin’ Cris thinks that a woman like her shouldn’t have problems since she is so nice.
Ep 61: Part 2 Too Many Lies and Too Much Honesty
Irma arrives at the run-down place where she lives with her father who is drinking with a buddy. After he scolds her for leaving him without any food, he leaves to get more beer and tells Irma that he doesn’t want to see her there when he returns. Once alone, Erick approaches Irma who is shocked and embarrassed to see him. When Erick questions her, Irma explains that the man is her father and her mother is dead. Erick is upset that Irma lied to him; so Irma explains that she didn’t want him knowing where she lived…she was embarrassed to have Erick see that her father is an alcoholic. Erick asks her to go live with him; he doesn’t want her staying there. Irma, however, refuses the offer and asks Erick to leave before her father returns.
Charly enters his office to find Carolina waiting for him. She gives him a consoling hug and is sorry about Diana. After she asks how things happened, Charly fills her with his lies…the cops haven’t found Lareli yet and he has the media up to his neck. When he adds that he had a fling with Lareli and that Lareli didn’t take the news about his reconciliation well, Caro questions the reconciliation since he and Diana hated each other. Charly insists that they were getting back together because of their daughter. When Caro asks if it had something to do with the percentage Diana was getting, Charly takes offense…how can she say that! After Caro explains that there are several versions and people are talking, Charly points out that he was with Diana for 17 years and then this happened, Diana is still having a hard time swallowing all the lies, so she asks if Diana agreed to reconcile. Charly assures her that it was Diana’s idea and he agreed…for his daughter, but his dream was not realized. All he has left is the cops who are after him, a daughter who has no mother and the damned press who doesn’t leave him alone. Caro then suggests that she can write a statement to give to the press. After she writes it and Charly gives his okay, Charly suggests that Caro help him get rid of his pain, but Caro turns him down... the press release is priority.
Axel gives his statement to Detective Bowtie. He states that he has known Charly since they were very young…and that is how he knows that Charly and Diana were going to reconcile…Charly told him. Axel knew about Charly’s fling with Lareli, but it was just in the heat of the moment…the one who took it more seriously was Lareli.
Serg goes to see Vanessa and asks what relationship they have…he is hoping that they can be novios. Vanesa surprises him by saying. “Ok,” but she reminds him that she just came out of a toxic relationship and she doesn’t want the same thing to happen again…all her life she has been surrounded by people who lie to her; so she wants someone who will talk to her and whom she can trust. Serg keeps looking at her intently; so Vanessa asks him what is going on. Serg needs to tell her something, but she needs to try to understand. When he blurts out that Lareli is hiding out at his house, Vanesa freaks out since Serg is hiding her mother’s murderer. When Serg mentions that he and Erick think that she is innocent, Vanessa is aghast that Erick knows where Lareli is. Serg tries to calm her down and asks her to try to understand, but Vanessa refuses and tells him to get out of her house; she never wants to see him again.
At Luxor, Axel assures Charly that the detective has already grasped the fact that Charly and Diana were trying to reconcile; Axel told the detective exactly what Charly told him to say. Charly retorts that he shouldn’t be stupid and say that he was told what to say…but Charly is grateful to Axel whom he cares about…though he sometimes doesn’t appreciate Axel enough. Charly then comments that now Carolina has to tell the detective the same thing.
Ep 61: Part 3 Too Many Lies and Too Much Honesty
Detective Bowtie and Agent Olmedo discuss the case. Bowtie comments that nothing Charly says matches what everyone thinks or knows about him; Diana’s attorney and Javier have both contradicted what Charly is saying. After Bowtie adds that they should also consider that Charly is the nephew of Monchis, Olmedo reminds him that they also have Juanjo’s statement and everything he witnessed. Bowtie emphasizes that the most important thing is that Diana was going to receive 70% of the assets; so they need to follow that line of investigation.
At Surround Vibes, Cris and Wendy are working on his song when Juanjo arrives and asks to talk to Wendy in the office. Once alone, Juanjo suggests that they go have lunch so that they can talk about work and the house. Wendy is surprised and wonders if Juanjo is going to tell her to leave the house, but Juanjo reassures her that the house is hers. Wendy thinks that Juanjo is trying to buy her off with the house, but Juanjo argues that he just wants to do things right. Wendy retorts that he can then go to the house, gather his things, and get out. When Juanjo apologizes and tells Wendy that he didn’t want things to turn out like this, Wendy thinks Juanjo is trying to make himself feel better, but she knows that he is doing everything because he is trying to hide his obsession with Yameli. Juanjo tries to argue, but Wendy tells him that he has lied to her for many years and she just isn’t buying it anymore…she doesn’t know if she will ever forgive Juanjo for what he has done.
Vanessa is outside the apartment building as she takes a long swig of liquor. When Erick approaches, she chides him for hiding her mother’s murderer. Erick tries to calm her down and asks that she go with him so that Lareli can explain, but Vanessa won’t go anywhere with him. He lied to her and betrayed her; she expected it from anyone else, but not from him and now she hates him. Erick pleads with her to go inside so that they can talk, but Vanessa again refuses…she doesn’t want to live there anymore so she is going with her father.
Wendy and Cris are at a bar when she confides that she and Juanjo are separating. They were together for many years and she tried to do everything so things could work out, but Juanjo never loved her like he loved “her.” Cris can’t believe that there is another woman…not even the most beautiful woman in the world is worth leaving someone like Wendy. When Wendy shakes her head, Cris assures her he is serious; she is a super woman and people adore her. Cris then suggests that they toast to “that which is useless won’t get in her way.”
Vanessa is at a park when she calls the cops to report where Yameli is.
Wendy and Cris are still at the bar. Wendy is feeling the effects of the alcohol so she asks for water. When Cris asks if she wants to dance, Wendy points out that no one is dancing, but Cris insists…or they can go elsewhere (as he puts his hand on her leg). Wendy doesn’t know what he is intending, but she is not going there…and she doesn’t want him to get the wrong impression; so she quickly leaves.
Ep 61: Part 3 Too Many Lies and Too Much Honesty
Detective Bowtie and Olmeda stake out Serg’s place. When they see Juanjo arrive, they ask for backup. Inside, Yameli tells Juanjo that she found out that the cops now know that she was set up, but it’s her word against Charly’s and she has no proof. Juanjo urges her to tell the cops everything she knows. After they discuss other problems with her case and how people would react knowing that Charly was behind his wife’s murder, Estela approaches because she has to go out.
Carolina gives a statement to the media regarding Charly and asks that the public respect Charly’s family.
Yameli and Juanjo go upstairs where Juanjo tells Yameli that he ended it with Wendy; he couldn’t live a lie. He knows Wendy is not happy, but he couldn’t continue there. When Yameli regrets returning…she has hurt everyone, Juanjo reminds her that his life changed with her return; he found the courage to fulfill his dream and he opened the studio. After he tells her that he lost her once and he won’t let that happen again even if he has to move the world because he loves her, Juanjo asks her to let him love her…and show her that she is the woman of his life.
“Too Many Lies and Too Much Honesty”. The quintessential title Rgv Chick.
While the entire recap was beyond, cutting and pasting several of your inspired observations is a necessity. It was nearly impossible to choose.
Your stellar title perfectly described the many conflicts currently in play. And it appears that lies and honesty are sometimes inextricably intertwined:
“When Juanjo apologizes and tells Wendy that he didn’t want things to turn out like this, Wendy thinks Juanjo is trying to make himself feel better, but she knows that he is doing everything because he is trying to hide his obsession with Yameli. Juanjo tries to argue, but Wendy tells him that he has lied to her for many years…” Lies that percolated to the point they needed to be eradicated by the bitter truth, almost too much at once to bear.
“After he tells her that he lost her once and he won’t let that happen again even if he has to move the world because he loves her, Juanjo asks her to let him love her…and show her that she is the woman of his life”. One life destroyed and one life given hope.
“sweettalkin’ Cris thinks that a woman like her shouldn’t have problems since she is so nice” made me smile. Chris may genuinely like Wendy but he is a player. Glad she left the bar without him in tow.
At best, this is a love story fraught with deception, revenge and heartbreak. Was it worth the price for the devastation left in its wake? Time will tell.
So, Irma’s mother does not exist. When I saw her father, I understood Irma a bit better. She must fight to survive. Her lies about her mother are forgiven. She has likely had little to trust, perhaps she will now confide in Erick as he clearly is going nowhere and has pledged his support.
“Charly suggests that Caro help him get rid of his pain, but Caro turns him down”. A smart woman choosing badly.
“ (He actually looks so innocent and sincere as he lies next to Vanessa…but he is NOT!)”. Nopis.” All he has left is the cops who are after him, a daughter who has no mother and the damned press who doesn’t leave him alone”. And blood on his hands. Too much blood.
I gave Serg way too much credit. It was apparent that Vanesa’s agreeing to be his novia was just too much. As you noted, too much truth at the worst time. Now more cataclysmic events that cannot be rolled back.
As good as this TN is (and it is a great one), there would be so much left behind if not for your excellent retelling of a tale that twists and turns. Gracias amiga.
Diana
Rgv Chick, that is a corker of a title. No other one needed because that one was so perfect. I know, for purposes of plot, that Yameli's hiding place needed to be found, but for Serge to blurt out "that truth" knowing how Vanessa felt about her mother's murder...Just. Dumb.
I appreciate that the script is trying to show that Charlie, in spite of his amoral, self-centered character, still has some moments of humanity. It's only with his daughter, who admittedly, is an extension of him, but still...I accept that tender moment with Vanessa as genuine. Alas, nothing else about his life is.
Chris just strikes me as sleazy, so I'm glad Wendy removed his hand from her thigh and vamoosed. She deserves better than this peroxided, callow youth.
As for the romance between Yameli and Juanjo, it does not inspire me. That is the one drawback of this script. You want to be rooting for the main couple, but there's no incentive. Juanjo as a youth was likable. The grownup Juanjo not so much. Not for me anyway. Pleasant guy in a weak-ass kind of way, but no galan.
I'm getting quite fond of Detective Bowtie though. As always, loved the small touch of the other officer telling him "I owe you a doughnut. They were out." My Bowtie has a sweet tooth...like me. I think we're made for each other.
Beautiful, sensitive, flowing recap as always Rgv Chick. You've got to be exhausted after a long day and yet you turn out these gems night after night. Stars in your crown amiga. And somebody should be bringing you doughnuts!
Thank you, Rgv Chick. I like the titles. Lies and honesty are so much a part of this story.
"Bowtie tells him that the video is of no use to them." - this is strange. It is certainly one more clue.
Loyal dog Axel got a "Good dog!" from Charly.
Pushing away Serg and Eric, trusting only Charly, Vanesa is setting herself up for more suffering. Eric will soon learn that Yamelí is his mother. Knowing that Vane sent his mother to jail, while he believes she is innocent, may widen the rift between them. And with Charly going down, Vane will have no one for support.
Vanessa will need mental health counseling when she finds out who her father is.
Something is still off about Irma. Personality-wise.
"Honesty is such a lonely word" ....Billy Joel, right? I listen to oldies every day.
I just love reading the comments because it validates my own thoughts.
Diana, "Lies that percolated to the point they needed to be eradicated by the bitter truth, almost too much at once to bear." I love the way you think and express your invaluable insight. What made it so much worse is that Juanjo married Wendy knowing full well that he didn't love her and that he still had feelings for Yameli. ITA with JudyB, "Juanjo as a youth was likable. The grownup Juanjo not so much. Not for me anyway. Pleasant guy in a weak-ass kind of way, but no galan."
JudyB, "for Serge to blurt out "that truth" knowing how Vanessa felt about her mother's murder...Just. Dumb." DITTO!! Diana, I think we all gave Serg too much credit. I will also ditto Susanlynn on "I know that he is the young and innocent...sometimes clueless best buddy in this show , but....yeah..no." I was floored not only with him asking Vanessa to be his GF, but also because she agreed so quickly!! So much for her depression!
JudyB, I totally missed the "doughnut" line! Thanks for adding that; I just might rewatch the episode just to listen for that. And a (chocolate covered) doughnut or two would be great :-)
Lucio, ""Bowtie tells him that the video is of no use to them." - this is strange. It is certainly one more clue." My sentiments exactly! How could Charlie meeting with Tono AFTER the murder not be relevant??? QTH???
Susanlynn, Charly is pathetic and his suggestion for alleviating his pain was even more so. I'm glad Caro put a quick stop to that, but what is Caro's agenda? That is intriguing to me.
Thank you all for sharing your thoughts and insights...just gotta love this patio!
Oh, and did anyone see the promo for Dragon last night??? It said September but no time was given. Fervently hoping it will replace this!!!

Very good questions that I have also been wondering about...but I guess they just have to prolong our misery.
All primetime slots open up in September. So, I think "El Dragón" will be at 9pm, and "La Usurpadora" - probably at 10pm. With "Rosa" or "Amor Eterno" at 8pm.
"La Usurpadora" has Sandra Echeverría in the lead roles.
The Gate Is Open But All Hell Has Yet to Fully Break Loose Part 1
There are many different kinds of love. Some are suffered silently, unrequited. Some are happily shared, a joyous union as affection blooms and grows, intertwining two hearts as one. At the other end of the spectrum is fiery, all-consuming obsession, fraught with desire. How love germinates and cultivates has no small bearing on its future. A clear conscience and freedom to enter into a relationship devoid of any binding romantic entanglements is essential. If a promise or vow is broken in pursuit of something “greater”, or to recapture something that one might never have had to begin with, the consequences may be grave. Are there times when the cost is simply too high? Can the path strewn with broken hearts and dreams of others crush burgeoning hopes and dreams before they truly begin?
And then…
Juanjo has spoken his truth as it now stands and vows never to lose Yameil again. His hope is mirrored in the liquid pools brimming in Yameli’s eyes…
Unaware that the police are surrounding Estela’s home waiting to pounce, Juanjo moves in for a kiss. Initially, Yameli retreats. After musings and words to the contrary, she admits she loves him, As they passionately kiss, Ricardo Contreras yells “police” and they break apart as if burned. Police pound on the door as she urges a reluctant Juanjo to leave. Are you sure he says, yes, she reaffirms. He escapes as the door is breached. As Ricardo levels his gun at Yameli, he yells that she is charged with the murder of Diana. The apartment is half- heartedly checked and Yameli is handcuffed. As Juanjo makes his way out onto the street, neighbors including Serge are privy to the full spectacle as spotlights are flashed in Yameli’s eyes as she is lead away.
Lidia and Erick discuss Tono and worry about Vanesa. We then see Charly arriving home to a drunken Vanesa as she clutches a liquor bottle, walking unsteadily on the balcony. My love please he begs. She pushes him away, distraught. Charly helps her inside and tucks her into bed. He tells her to be calm and kisses her on the cheek.
Serge gives Erick the bad news. Now in custody, facing Ricardo, Yameli tells him she is innocent. He gives her a key to undo her handcuffs. She looks around suspiciously as he hands her a notebook and leaves. Gracias she murmurs with a puzzled expression. She recalls a montage of scenes. First, the harrowing shooting of Diana by Tono; Juanjo confirming her lost child is Erick and lastly, her still fresh memory of brief but passionate kisses with Juanjo.
Tono and Charly meet and insults fly. Leave, Charly insists. I believe Miami was mentioned.
Oh no, Wendy is in Chris’ car. As they talk, she opens the car door and vomits. And yet, Chris does not seem put off. They part amicably as Wendy collapses against the inside of the front door, breathing in the knowledge that she is now alone.

The Gate Is Open But All Hell Has Yet to Fully Break Loose Part 2
At his sibs’ modest abode, Juanjo seems surprisingly upbeat. Have those kisses lingered to the point he fails to realize Yameli is languishing in jail?
Estela, Erick and Serge discuss the situation and Erick calls Juanjo. Serge looks as though he is in shock, guilt reverberating.
Wendy calls mama and fills her in. Almost instantaneously, mama arrives. Mama consoles as Wendy says she is pregnant.
Charly and Lidia talk as he awakens his daughter and asks how she is. Unsurprisingly, she says her head hurts. I know you are upset he sympathizes as he strokes her cheek. You have Erick and your grandmother he asserts. I called the police she tells him. She tells him Yameli was staying at Serge’s. Charly looks concerned as he watches the news. Vanesa seems pleased with herself.
Erick calls Juanjo and tells him Serge spilled the beans to Vanesa and it was she who called the police. Lidia is thrilled with the news Yameli was captured. Erick argues with her and she cannot understand his defense of Yameli who she avers is an assassin.
Vanesa opens the door to Erick and they embrace. After ensuring they are all right (neither are), Erick tells her she made a mistake. Charly enters and orders Erick to leave. Vanesa is my family he asserts – Charly disagrees as Erick tells Vane he loves her. Charly’s dislike for Erick is obvious as he shoves him. Erick finally leaves.
Yameli has several sessions with Ricardo. She continually harps on Tono but Ricardo seems unconvinced. Actually, he approaches all his interviews this way. A blank facial expression combined with calmness and coolness and firm but gentle rebuffs are all employed. It is nearly impossible to determine what he is thinking. There was more about Diana and Luxor but as I was lost in most of their exchange, someone will need to fill this in.
Charly and Axel talk and he tells him Vanesa turned Yameli in.
As Juanjo and Erick speak, it is evident this is tearing the family apart. Juanjo comforts him and lifts his spirits. He is not alone.
Yameli calls Juanjo. He tells her Erick is sad and preoccupied but is staunch in his defense of her. I believe Yameli asks Juanjo to get her a lawyer and she asks for Diana’s lawyer – Roberto.
Lastly, a name is evoked which seems to imply that someone will rise from the dead - Yameli Montoya.
Diana

I just had to repeat this, Diana. Beautiful, just beautiful! You should write a book of inspirational messages...it would be a best seller! I was so looking forward to your next prologue and I was just wonderstruck. Now for the story...
Charly was brutal with Erick when Erick was talking to Vanessa. Erick was trying to tell Vanessa that they are family, but Charly scowled that Erick is NOT family...he is just a sorry adopted freeloader. I was so hoping that Vanessa would speak up, but she just stood there despite being shocked at her father's attitude. Que triste!
During the last session with Ricardo, Yameli brought up the money laundering at Luxor. When Contreras asked if there was evidence at Luxor against Charly, Yameli told him about Diana's signature...but the new accountant should have some incriminating evidence against Charly.
In the last scene, Yameli asked Juanjo to start preparing Erick for the truth...Juanjo should start telling him about Yameli Montoya.
There isn't much more to add, Diana. Your keen eye and exceptional skills at gleaning information from what you observe continue to amaze me. Well done, amiga, I applaud you.
Rgv Chick, thank you for your continuing supportive kindness. Coming from you, I am truly humbled and grateful.
Once again, you have come to my rescue by completing this with the oh so important and vital details. "Charly scowled that Erick is NOT family...he is just a sorry adopted freeloader. I was so hoping that Vanessa would speak up, but she just stood there despite being shocked at her father's attitude. Que triste!" An arrow to the heart. If there is any vulnerability to Charly at all, it is his daughter. Those sharp, cruel words will reverberate with Erick, over and over. How terribly sad.
And yet, Erick has his mother. Who will tend to Vanesa??
Admittedly, I always focus on the physical, what I actually see. This, while trying to discern key names, words or phrases that are familiar to me. I was so upset with myself that I just could not understand Yameli's "discussions" with Ricardo. Where is the detective? Will Ben ever be seen again? Or, will this be a war Yameli must rage on her own.
Thank you amiga for being there. It's important to note that without your excellent recaps, outlining every detail, every nuance, I would not be able to do this at all.
Diana
Whoa...Diana, not only do we "share a brain" I'm beginning to think I share a brain with Rgv Chick also. I hit copy and paste on your first paragraph because it was extraordinary...And so did she.
And the question you ask is one that deserves a discussion. Can we ever build a transcendant love on the crushed hearts and feelings of others? Charly has been brutally callous and uncaring in his treatment of many women, Yameli included. But, in my opinion, Juanjo has, to a lesser degree, been callous in his treatment of Wendy. He lived with her, had sex with her, married her because he thought he'd lost his first love. When first love reappeared, bye-bye Wendy. See ya'.
Also amazed, Diana, at how much Spanish you've picked up just from watching these telenovelas over the years. I know you don't have closed captions and honestly I'd often be lost without mine. I hear better if I watch on the computer because there are two speakers on ours. But on our old TV, I barely hear anything.
I loved this insight also:
Vanesa opens the door to Erick and they embrace. After ensuring they are all right (neither are),
Exactly. All the actors are doing a great job portraying conflicted emotions, confused loyalties and troubled affection. Even the loathsome Charley has moments of humanity as he cares for and tries to protect his daughter.
As for our chief investigator, love his quiet you-don't-know-what-I'm-thinking demeanor. Our own Hispanic Hercule Poirot! I'm sure he'll discover the true story very shortly. Especially since it's ultimas semanas!
Thank you Diana. Although I know it's difficult to do recaps after a long hard day of work and commuting. But I'm glad you have a chance to show the world your sensitive and finely crafted writing skills. Now to find an agent and a publisher!
Ahh Judy...For years, you have been my inspiration and everything I wishfully aspire to be. After all this time, I am still in awe of how you communicate with your beautiful, expressive writing and incredible skills. But there is more. Much more. You always educate, yet never, ever condescend. Your love of language is infectious. You are unfailingly supportive and encouraging, always wanting others to shine. You take time and answer every query, and note every comment. It was you who gave me the courage to try something I had long thought was way beyond my ability. I struggle with much but with your and Rgv Chick's guidance and leadership, I will continue to try.
"But, in my opinion, Juanjo has, to a lesser degree, been callous in his treatment of Wendy. He lived with her, had sex with her, married her because he thought he'd lost his first love. When first love reappeared, bye-bye Wendy. See ya'". Yes, I completely agree. There is much blame to go around but Yameli was not attached. She was tempted but did not give in until Juanjo told her he'd left Wendy. We are all in agreement Wendy is not our favorite, but she did not deserve this. She bears some culpability certainly, but even the sanctity of marriage wasn't enough to make Juanjo stay. If he had left her before that, I would have felt differently.
I'm sad we are in ultimas semanas but I sense there is much more drama to be had.
I cannot wait.
Diana
Diana: Good Job on the recap. Just as I feared was inevitable, Yameli got arrested (DEA stupid & incompetent) & placed right back in prison.
Here are my personal thoughts:
1.) Do NOT count out Yameli just yet. She's got more tricks up her sleeve.
2.) Vanessa is full of SHIT. I hope she gets a BIGLY anvil soon now that we're in Ultimos Semanas.
3.) Don't be surprised if Charly has Yameli killed in prison for real this time.
4.) Too many loose ends might influence Univision to bring this back for a 2nd Season.
5.) Wendy is PREGGERS with Juanjo's kid. Pretty much tells me he's going to be stuck with her forever.
6.) Erick needs better judgement.
7.) Law enforcement agencies better get their act together soon.
These people, right?? I was surprised that juanjo and Yami were actually starting to get it on just as the police arrived. Uff. And I couldn't figure out exactly what was going on between Chris and Wendy. I thought that she threw up because she had been drinking. Then, when she let him take her into her house, I didn't know what was happening. He seemed to look around and want to stay , but she seemed to want him to leave. And..she's already pregnsnt???? Did she take a test? I thought that she might get pregnant by Chris and say that the baby was Juanjo's. I saw that mom was called and she probably gave Wendy more bad advice.
No happiness for anyone right now. All those in Charly's orbit are dead , hurting, or in trouble. Isn't it amazing how one person can affect the lives of so many people...for good or for bad ??? The ripples around Charly are spreading . When will Charly's past finally catch up with him and release those he has harmed ? Juanjo isn't the best galan I have ever seen, but he is the only one Yami has because Rizzo seems to have disappeared after using Yami to get Monchis and our dear Jack is long gone, so there is no cavalry on the horizon to rescue Yami from the same trap that Charly set for her so many years ago when they were teens. Yikes. Maybe Roberto will offer up some evidence . HElp. SOS.
Have a good day, all.
Thank you, Diana.
The police took its time to enter the house. I think they spent several minutes begging to open the door, as if giving Yamelí and Juanjo time to escape.
Charly gave Toño a bag of money and told him to go away. Toño said it suits them both to kill Lari.
When Charly said to Eric "I don't want you in my house and in my life," Eric asked Vanesa "Vane, is that what you want?" twice. She just looked at Charly as if looking for permission. Que triste! Indeed, Rgv Chick. She'd better find the answer quickly.
Steve, thank you for the list. I'm with you in not counting Yameli out at all! As Yameli is the heart of this, I don't think Charly will succeed in killing her. As for Wendy, do we know she is pregnant definitively or is that just her assumption/desperation?
Thank you Susanlynn! Your shrewd assessments are ringing many bells for me. "Juanjo isn't the best galan I have ever seen, but he is the only one Yami has" was spot on! But I loved this even more: "...and our dear Jack is long gone, so there is no cavalry on the horizon to rescue Yami from the same trap that Charly set for her so many years ago when they were teens". Piercing and true. Fantastic insight.
Lucio, I always enjoy your comments. Thank you for "Charly gave Toño a bag of money and told him to go away. Toño said it suits them both to kill Lari". Words that would make anyone shudder.
While Vanesa seems nice, some of the time, she is not an endearing personality. That said, all the years of infidelity and bickering she endured from her parents would take a toll on anyone. I'm beginning to think her calm rather unemotional demeanor is armor she uses to insulate herself from further harm. And the abuse she suffered at Ruco's hands didn't help. She will be devastated after everything comes to light and Erick and his huge heart will be there for her.
Diana
And Lucio, you are right about the police taking their time before they broke the door down.
And we know the police saw Juanjo entering the house so the "search" they conducted must mean they simply chose to let him go...
Diana
JudyB, " All the actors are doing a great job portraying conflicted emotions, confused loyalties and troubled affection." Hear, hear! While many of the TNs have characters that are either deemed good or bad, this TN seems to have "flawed characters" throughout. It's difficult to say " Oh, I really like ___" because of their weaknesses. The only one I could say was a really good guy is Erick...for now.
And JudyB, "As for our chief investigator, love his quiet you-don't-know-what-I'm-thinking demeanor. Our own Hispanic Hercule Poirot!" Thank you!! I kept trying to figure out which detective Contreras reminded me of and that's it!! I looked up images of Poirot and there are some in which Contreras even resembles Poirot>
Susanlynn, regarding Wendy and Cris, when they were in the vehicle, Cris wanted to get Wendy some water, but she kept telling him she wasn't drunk...she was just very sad; then she vomited. Once inside the house, Cris was very impressed with the house and he did want to stay with Wendy but only because she wasn't feeling well...or so he said. Before Wendy called her mother, she called the pharmacy to order a pregnancy test. She waited until her mother was there to take it; and when the tests indicated that she was pregnant, the mother told Wendy that she needed to tell Juanjo, but Wendy argued that Juanjo wants nothing of her.
THe sessions between Contreras and Yameli were somewhat frustrating. Most of the time, Yameli was just repeating what she said in the video that Zaria released. THe only new pieces of information that Contreras got was tate Yameli has been in prison before (which left him perplexed because there was no record of it) and the info about the money laundering. COntreras has good reason to be suspicious of Yameli since it was obvious that she wasn't giving him the whole story..she never explained why or when sh ahd ben in prison. And why didn't she tell him about Restrepo? She also has all the photos that Restrepo sent to her, including the one where Charly and Tono are looking at the money they got from Don Edgar. what is she waiting for?
"Before Wendy called her mother, she called the pharmacy to order a pregnancy test. She waited until her mother was there to take it; and when the tests indicated that she was pregnant, the mother told Wendy that she needed to tell Juanjo, but Wendy argued that Juanjo wants nothing of her".
Rgv Chick, I did not get that Wendy took the pregnancy test then and there. Wow...this definitely puts a different spin on things. Well, one would think it would.
And I did think Yam had told Contreras she had been in jail but couldn't tell anything more. You cleared up so much. Thank you.
Diana
If the police now have Yami's fingerprints, are they now going to discover that she is not Lari....but Yami ???I
Judyb...yes, Bowtie is more like Poirot than Columbo.
I guess after a pretty rapidly moving pace, the show is now slowing down as we approach the finale, the revealing of all the secrets and who Is really who, and the anvils.
Juanjo seems a little too calm considering the love of his life is now in police custody.
ABout the pregnancy test--the only thing that comes to mind is that on "Dona Flor," Flor took a pregnancy test which indicated that she was pregnant...but it turned out to be a false positive. I'm hoping that is the case here. We sure don't need another child in a loveless marriage.
Susanlynn, Star is doing well; thanks for asking. She no longer has the drain tube, but they put an elizabethan collar on her so she won't lick herself. She does NOT like it, but poor thing doesn't have much choice. Never a dull moment ACK!
