Part 1

Is there any moment of peace for a mother who has lost a child? It begins when the child is safe in the womb, very much loved and longingly anticipated. Yet, birth brings so much more joy than could ever be imagined, the heart is in danger of bursting. As the newborn is coddled, every mother’s prayer is that her child be blessed with a long and happy life. When she thinks that life has been taken, the center of her being is painful and raw. Yet, she must continue and endure. The necessary steps to survive are but a routine and life becomes an empty shell. When cruelty and evil machinations rather than death are revealed as the reasons for separation, everything changes to thoughts of vengeance. But in the midst of retribution, the lost child is found and a special bond formed. How does she verbalize the gamut of emotions her heart is feeling? How does she tell her cherished child he was stolen, not abandoned? Does she tell him the truth about his demonic father? And lastly, will the call of the blood be enough to soothe their anguished hearts?

The quiet night is shattered by the police infiltrating Tono’s lair. Ricardo helps lead the charge as the police quietly spread out. Tono is in a confab when Ricardo yells out that he’s surrounded. Turn yourself in. Yelling that he’s innocent till proven guilty, Tono shoots a policeman and one of Tono’s men also falls. Tono calls Charly but Charly hangs up, staring at the money in the vault. Tono is grabbed but fights wildly and stabs the policeman. Not quite a caged rat, Tono comes out pretending to surrender and shots Ricardo in the arm. Olmedo is also in the fray. Tono is relentless - shot but not down, he keeps inching away. When asked if Charly Flow is behind everything Tono replies -Who else? But it's the word of a thug and murderer against a famous singer. When he is told justice is for all, Tono retorts justice is a bitch. If I go, I'm going to go down fighting. Tono, now riddled with bullets in a hail of gunfire, finally succumbs and dies. He had no intention of being taken alive.

Part 2

Ricardo seems to have suffered a flesh wound and is none the worse for wear, back at work. Olmedo brings him a prize spoil of the war – Tono’s cell phone.

Charly tries in vain to talk with Vanesa. She ignores his calls of “Princess”. She tells him to leave her alone. She's going to see Serg. He tried to apologize and wants to be forgiven. And treated with respect. She brings her father down a peg or two, telling him that maybe he should remember just who he was before he became the famous Charly Flow.

Morning dawns and Juanjo shows Wendy the new signage and Surround Sound offices. Pez Koi’s portrait is prominently hung. Wendy is enthusiastic as she tells him its incredible and gives him a one armed hug.

Elsewhere, Yameli readies herself at the hospital when Erick arrives. A warm hug ensues. She gets emotional and her eyes fill with tears. She doesn’t know how to tell him but it’s about your mother. Erick says he prefers not to talk about that – it’s a painful subject. Your mom was never a drug mule. She was a writer. She composed songs like you. Someone tricked her, betrayed her. Someone she loved. He planted drugs in her suitcase. She was sent to jail and learned there that she was pregnant. When she had you she felt the greatest love she had ever felt in her love. But she didn't know that you were alive.

Did you know my mother he murmurs? Yes. I am your mother, Yameli Montoya. Say something. Eric struggles - it doesn't make sense. Yameli shows him the DNA results. When I saw you in prison, why didn’t you say anything Erick asks? I had to prove my innocence first. I named you Mateo. You just don't know the terrible grief that comes from losing a child.

Who is my father he asks? Charly, Yameli confirms. Erick is in pain as he tries to absorb the shock – he’s my brother. Monchis lied Yameli explains. Lidia is your abuela. I had you in prison. I could not care for you there so I gave him to my grandmother to raise. She died in a fire. I thought that you died with her. All this time I believed that you were dead. It's the worst torture in the world. Charly is the one who put the drugs in my suitcase. And they told me they would kill my grandmother if I told. Recoiling, Erick asks are you sure Charly is my father? Yes, 100 per cent. The DEA got in contact with me in prison.. Monchis sent someone to kill me, so they sent me to trap him. He smiles as he recalls singing with and composing with Yameli and he final phrase is WE'RE ONE SINGLE HEART.. Love wins as he embraces her in a huge hug.

Juanjo arrives, entering quietly and unemotionally (as always). Are you OK she asks Erick? Yes. Erick wants to confront Charly, look him in the eye. Yameli tells Erick he needs to speak with Lidia first. Will you go with me he asks? For all your life!

Part 3

The two primary reporters and a cheering crowd greet Yameli as she leaves the hospital. Oh, there’s Jack. Jack leads her forward. Lari says she's free because it's proven she didn't kill Diana Granados. She thanks the crowd for support. Then, she drops a bomb by saying she's going to give an interview where SHE'LL TELL EVERYTHING.

Charly was watching the proceedings with Irma but isn’t feeling the joy so shuts the computer off.

Erick is in shock but happy. The tells Juanjo it's just a whole other dimension. He's finally found her! He always felt a special connection with her. He has a troubling question:: did she come back to take vengeance out on Charly? Juanjo reiterates her love for her son is the most important. Then, the question we’ve all been dreading - does Charly know I'm his son? No, Juanjo affirms.

Juanjo give an interview outside where he thanks all for support but then reminds them that those responsible for Diana's death are still out there.

Wendy and mama watch. While Wendy is happy that Lari is released, she hates that Juanjo is still hanging on to her. Mom says he's treated Wendy badly as Wendy realizes her future with Juanjo is getting further and further out of reach.

Charly meets with Caroline and together they strategize on how to handle Mora the accountant. She goes to see him in prison and promises that Charly will help him if he keeps quiet. Otherwise, he'll withdraw all financial support, including paying Caroline as Mora's lawyer. She can get him out. But if Mora doesn't play ball, then it's just his word against Charly's. And she's Charly's lawyer.

Caroline scurries back and tells Charly Moro accepted the deal. But he could still talk. They need to pay him money to cover his family (wife, son, whom he's worried about). Charly pleads that he has no money. Caroline tells him to sell the apartments that he has to get the cash. Charly agrees. Then tried to get Caroline to believe his version of Diana's killing.

He admits he does know Tono and knew he worked for Monchis. Tono was extorting money from him and he paid him out of fear. But he was tapped out and couldn't pay him anymore. So maybe Tono came to kidnap Diana for money. And things went bad. Caroline seems to buy this. Charly starts to come on to her then and she shrinks away, pleading work.

Does no one know Tono is dead?? Discussion as to when this information will be released is a hot topic among the police who discuss the valuable information Tono’s phone will provide.

Part 4 (last)

Erick, Juanjo and Yameli drive to Erick’s apartment. Erick asks to be with his mother alone for a while. Yameli tells Juanjo she's "living a dream." Juanjo suggests that now is time to drop the rest of the plan, to just enjoy being with her son. No she says - it's not vengeance. It's justice. And where's Diana in all this? And the police are useless. There needs to be justice for that.

Yameli tentatively enters Erick’s apartment building. In the apartment, Erick holds Lidia’s hands and thanks her for everything , saying she will always be his mother. But he has something to tell her…WE have something to tell you. He opens the door and Yameli comes in. Lidia welcomes her. Yameli tells her the story, her 17 years of incarceration, her child. How she gave the baby to her grandmother to raise, then believing he died in the fire with her. But all this time she felt something special with Erick. And the DNA test proved it. He is her son. Her and Charly's son.

Lidia is struggling protesting that Monchis told her he was the son of drug addicts! Yameli tells her that he lied and made her believe her baby was done. She asks when Monchis gave her Erick? When the date 2/14/02 is revealed, Yameli confirms that is the same day her grandmother died. Monchis burned the house and killed her.

When Lidia says she loved Erick, Yameli thanks her saying she did a great job raising him to be a wonderful young man and saying I'm so grateful to you.
Lidia then states Erick is the angel of my life. Then, the question is uttered: does Charly know all this?

No Yameli confirms. We wanted to talk to you first.

JUNTOS, EL CORAZÓN NO SE EQUIVOCA Capítulo 5 Monday 8/19/18 Part 1

Well, they were on a snipping and clipping binge again tonight so this was a combo platter of original episodes 6 & 7.

Carlota shows Ari her brother Andrés’ room that has been kept just as he left it. She is worried she will never know what really happened to her brother. Ari says Andrés’ keyboard is just like his. When Carlota met him he reminded her of Andrés. She feels like he and Temo entered her life to help her.

Temo is still filming video clips of Thiago interacting with the public for Ubaldo’s campaign. “Ubaldo Ortega fulfills your heart” is the campaign slogan. Later as they watch the spots at the campaign office, Elsa is critical of Temo not following the script they and all agreed upon. Mateo said he tried to tell Temo . . . Temo sticks up for himself and says sometimes you have to take risks. Elsa just gets more sarcastic and abusive but has to admit that he did produce something interesting but she won’t let him surpass her authority again. Ubaldo is pleased and wants the video ready ASAP. He grins

Ubaldo criticizes Elsa for failing to meet her obligations. She says she always meets them and will be working from home as she always does. Ubaldo grins some more.

Oleg plays video games with Carlota and Ari at the house. Elsa joins in and they have a good old time.

Dora and Nora get into it with Dora accusing Nora of always blaming her for her unhappiness. Nora leaves. Dora is cooking alphabet soup and rearranges tje noodles to spell “mamá” on the counter.

As he is leaving, Elsa tells Ari that they got odd off on the wrong foot in class but after today they can have a new perspective. He agrees on it being a fresh start. Elsa wants Carlota to spend the night at home. She insists on going back to the apartment with Ari. They have so much to do. Oleg is ready for more video games with the kids.

Temo and Ari go to the launder mat and watch their laundry go around as it washes. (This was my favorite visual tonight) They goof around as the wash gets done. Nora sees them and stops by to give them a better welcome than her sister Dora. She asks how they felt when they saw each of them for the very first time. They laugh as they answer with “interesting” and “strange.” Shenis sure it must have been very special. She admires them for defending who they are and what they feel.

Mateo watches the Aristemo ”Enamorando” video on line.

Ubaldo is waiting with a drink in his hand for Carlota at their little love nest. He has a bouquet of 30 pink roses for her. She lets herself in with a key. He expresses now worried is was about her. They express how important they are to each other. Ubaldo is still grinning.

It is midnight and Ari yells for Temo. Temo comes running out of his room and Ari, Polita, Eduardo, Arqui and Diego with a photo of Pancho and Julio and Lupita are all ready to celebrate his birthday. (They didn’t show us how they all worked on baking a cake for Temo and how Dora came by earlier with alphabet soup for little Arqui because he said it was his favorite. She brought enough for supper for all of them. Polita invited her to stay but Dora declined the invitation to go back to meeting with Elsa, Nora and Soledad who were also eating alphabet soup for supper at Dora’s.)

It is time for Temo to make a wish and blow out the candles. We see all of the major characters’wishes. Carlota wants justice to be done. Elsa wants her family together again. Soledad wants to be able to value herself someday. Diego wants to not feel alone. Dora wants to find her son. Nora wants to feel free. Thiago wants to find somebody who really loves him. Oleg wants to to find out that second chances really do exist. Pancho want to see his children happy. Ubaldo wants to win. Polita wants to be better each day for her family. Eduardo wants to be with Polita and her family. Ari wants to be with Temo for the rest of their life.
 

JUNTOS Part 2

Temo wants to see him and Temo triumph as a couple, as individuals and as a family. Temo makes that wish and blows out the candles.

Soledad wants Ubaldo to give their marriage another chance and has prepared all of his favorite foods for breakfast. He just grins.

Ari wakes up Temo and tells him “Mira ya que amaneció” ( quoting from”Las mañanitas” ) and presents him with a huge sunflower. Temo would love to buy Temo all of the flowers in the world. Since the sunflower gives a new ”air” to their room they decide they should redecorate the room and make it more of a home for themselves. They get into it about Carlota again. Te o doesn’t like the idea of all of the lying gong on. Ari says sometimes lying is necessary and asks Temo to trust him.

Carlota and Diego have prepared a special breakfast for Temo. Carlota suggests they all celebrate Temo’s birthday tonight. The suggestion is met with silence. Carlota thanks the group for being there so they can all support each other. Ari says that is what it is all about. Temo says nothing. Diego asks if he has missed something because the other three are acting very strangely. They all deny that.Diego goes to answer the door. Temo has special visitors from Oaxaca: his brother Julio, his sister Lupita, Dani and the triplets. Temo is overjoyed to see them all.

Soledad’s breakfast gesture is interrupted from a call from Pancho. He has called to remind Ubaldo that it is Temo’s 18th birthday and asks if he can go and congratulate him. Ubaldo says of course he can. Temo is like a son to him. Ubaldo says he will be going right over to the condo. Pancho was not able to make it because of work. Ubaldo tells him that Pancho’s family is like his own and there is nothing more important than family. Soledad looks stricken as she hears this. (Pancho also called Temo to wish him a happy birthday but they cut that out).

As everyone is leaving the apartment for the day, Ubaldo pulls up in a new sports car with a big ribbon on it to wish Temo a happy birthday. When Temo refuses a gift of this magnitude, Polita backs him up. Ubaldo suggest that Temo, Ari, Carlota and Diego all keep it then. Temo insists that would still not be right and refuses it again. He doesn’t want to owe him and his father would never permit it. Ubaldo leaves with A troubled looking Diego in the car. Ubaldo is still grinning.

Ubaldo is presenting Temo’s vídeo at a campaign event. Everyone is there from Polita and Eduardo to Dani and the triplets and even Oleg. He calls Temo up because it is his birthday. Temo goes up and becomes an example of everyone’s children who want a better future, etc. Mateo just stares. A grinning Ubaldo declares everyone in the city as part of his family and that everyone is ready for change. Thiago entertains. Carlota begs Temo to not say anything to anyone. Temo says he trusts Ari on this one but she needs to think about what she is doing because her relationship with Ubaldo could change everything. Ubaldo overhears them and stops grinning. Regaining his grin momentarily, he comes over to talk to Temo and Carlota to make sure they are having a good time.

Thiago then invites a fan full of “light and sparks” to join him on stage. It is Carlota . Her parents never knew she was a Thiago fan. Carlota goes along with it for the campaign’s sake and dances on stage with Thiago. Ubaldo quickly stops that entertainment. Carlota makes it clear later that she has NO interest in Thiago. He refuses to give up. He likes her and is interested in her.

A grinning Ubaldo closes the event by reminding them all that family always comes first. He then calls Temo back up. Ubaldo says they were going to sing “Las mañanitas” but Temo’s mother in law had another idea. Lupita and Julio do the Aristemo “Enamorando” routine in costumes. Ari and Temo sing along to their own song. Dora is, of course, upset by what she is seeing. Mateo tells Diego that his pals are really cheesy and that he would be better with Temo than Ari.






 

JUNTOS Part 3

A non-grinning Ubaldo is in his office going over security video. He sees when Ari came in and saw Carlota and him kissing. His grin looks like it might be long gone.

Outside the apartments, Eduardo asks Polita to go out to dinner with him alone that evening. She isn’t sure because of Arqui. Ari and Temo signal to Dani who finally volunteers to look after all of the kids. Polita finally says yes. (What they cut out was Eduardo talking to Ari earlier about proposing to his mother and getting his approval.)

Ari has a special night planned for Temo but that has to be put on hold because Ubaldo wants him to attend an interview he is going to do. Temo says he has plans with Ari but is told work comes first. It turns out that Ubaldo is being interviewed by Oleg. (They cut out the part where Oleg is thinking about going back to work as a political columnist for a newspaper. He gives Ubaldo a heads up about the interview even though he doesn’t see the to like him. Elsa is not happy with Oleg’s decision since she is Ubaldo’s campaign manager. )

Oleg complains in the interview that Ubaldo wasted so much time on an inexperienced young man and his birthday when he could have been using the time talking about the problems facing the community. Ubaldo says the young man is an individual who has a name and tells it to him. As far as Ubaldo is concerned, the city is made up of individuals just like Temo and if he doesn’t have the support of each and everyone of them, his campaign makes no sense. He wants individuals like Temo to have every single opportunity they can. Young people have to be supported.

Soledad is sitting at a table is a public space reading when she calls out to a man with one of her sculptures in her hand. He recognizes her and introduces himself. (What they cut out is that Soledad’s art was part of an exposition. Ubaldo was supposed to attend with her but needed up sending her on her own. She ended up sotting and reading in a common area.) She and the man chat about her sculpture and what it conveys.

Ari prepares his party for Temo with the kids and Diego but Temo is nowhere in sight. Temo calls that he is headed back to Ubaldo's office after the interview.

A somber Ubaldo talks to Temo about the realities of political life and how you end up missing a lot of time with loved ones. He says Soledad complains a lot when he does not spend enough time with her. He explains that he got into politics because of his sister Flora’s death. She died because he and his family were not important to anybody, mistreated and humiliated. He promised himself that nobody would step on them again. He tells Temo that he has opportunities that few people have and that he needs to take advantage of them.
Temo thinks that you should be able to allot time for family. Ubaldo says no. Realization of your goals takes sacrifice sometimes leaving what you love most in this world.

At the restaurant, Eduardo puts on a tiny puppet show on the table. A knight asks a lady to marry him. He then produces and engagement ring and a tiny dragon marionette flies the ring over to Polita. She says yes, kisses him and asks if they can go home now.The marionette flies by itself out of the scene. (They cut out Polita calling home every ten minutes to make sure everything was okay)

A now grinning Ubaldo has some advice for Temo as he prepares to leave. When Soledad is aggravated with him, he always brings her a surprise.

Temo comes home with mariachis for Ari. Dora pitches a fit but Nora keeps her from spoiling it all. Polita and Eduardo arrive. Dani and all of the kids come out. Ari and Temo agree to fight on together. They have a big group hug and Temo and Ari kiss.

Carlota goes to see Ubaldo. With no grin he tells her that Temo and Ari know all about their relationship.Why has she not told him? She gives him some weak excuses and he declares that it is over between them. There is nothing between them.

Well, with this latest slice and dice event, this should finish up the Friday before “La usurpadora” starts on a Monday but who knows what surprises the folks at Uni have for us. Going to have to keep our ears open for the sound of scissors, knives, clippers, etc. being sharpened. . . .

Anyway, I enjoyed the episode. Aside from the launder mat scene with Ari and Temo following the laundry around with their heads, I loved the dragon flying all by itself out of the scene after he proposal as well as the mariachi scene.

I happened to glance up and saw what will surely be one of my very favorite TN scenes: “A knight asks a lady to marry him. He then produces and engagement ring and a tiny dragon marionette flies the ring over to Polita. She says yes, kisses him…the marionette flies by itself out of the scene. I was transfixed. My eyes welled up and I cannot tell you how much that scene heartened my heart. Lovely.

“Soledad wants Ubaldo to give their marriage another chance and has prepared all of his favorite foods for breakfast. He just grins”. Is it just me or does Sergio’s smile always seem to have a slight bit of sarcasm? The actor’s grin never seems to quite get there. A tribute to his acting.

“Temo has special visitors from Oaxaca: his brother Julio, his sister Lupita, Dani and the triplets. Temo is overjoyed to see them all”. So was I!

Carlota and Ubaldo make me shudder. I mean, really, would you even think about sleeping with someone you suspect murdered your sibling? Hopefully we won’t have to watch him manhandling her again.

Wonderful to see Dani who looked very pretty. And happy.

While I am writing my recap a this is on I see little but I know you will give a fabulous telling of the story Jarifa. Gracias.

Diana, thank you, amiga, for starting my day off on such a high note! That little dragon flying off by himself was truly a little bit of magic. I sort of became obsessed with Ubaldo’s always present grin last night because it seemed so out of place. You are right about the little bit of sarcasm. I wonder if Sergio Sendel has ever played anything other than a villain.

This episode was about mother and son finding each other. Yamelí told the truth and Eric accepted her. Yamelí was so happy. She insisted on sitting in the back of the truck with Eric. Probably hadn't taken her eyes off him the whole time, smiling.

Charly paid Carolina's fees with the money he got by selling one of his cars. Carolina suggested it would be good if Mora accepted all the responsibility. As long as his wife and son are paid, he will do it.

Diana, your opening about losing a child truly hit home with me. Every word you wrote was so true.

Well , tono got his anvil via a hail of bullets in his final showdown with police.

The scene between Yam and Erick was so emotional and heart wrenching Likewise the scene in which the two told Lidia what had happened.The actor and actresses did outstanding jobs.

Yay, something finally took the grin off Ubaldo's face. Diana, I hope Ubaldo means it when he says he and Carlota are over. Those two together makes me shudder too.

Hope Polita and Eduardo marry soon. I would love to see a festive wedding and the whole gang celebrating.

First, so glad you weighed in, Anon Fri 3 pm and Sat 1:53 pm from the last page on the Kemal/Wm Levy possible resemblance. Feel I am not losing my mind completely! For me, it's eyes, lips, chin/jaw, the way he carries himself.

Besides the handsome, Kemal seem to tick all the boxes for a traditional galan, noble, devoted, kind, heroic, intelligent etc, tho marking him down a bit for his controlling behavior with the cable car set up.

Monday night episode was mostly analyzing that fateful night in 2010. In the cable car, Nihan told Kemal she married Emir "because of her brother," but would "never" say more. Brainstorming session among Kemal, Leyla, and Kemal's best bud Salih about what Nihan's statement could mean. Kemal realizes Nihan's attitude towrd him changed overnight, and Leyla suggests Emir was able to take advantage of something that happened that night. So Kemal resolves to interrogate Ozan [Nihan's bro].

Nihan herself is asking Ozan more Qs about that night.

Nihan's clan is trying to figure out the significance of the blond woman in the photo from that night Nihan received. This woman doesn't appear in the videos, and the time-stamp is curious. The blond could be the person who's been blackmailing Emir for years.

Yes, Banu told Nihan that Emir forced her to have an abortion. Banu also knows that Nihan's brother is a murderer.

Emir with his perfectly-evil face is on a mission to discover who betrayed his plot to bring down Kemal. He accused his loyal asst Tufan, who told him "look to your own family," and there's a flashback of Nihan's father losing a cufflink when putting a document back in Emir's briefcase [lock code 2010].

Steve, I must say that I think we are all looking forward to see what happens to Charly.

Susanlynn, you were one of the women that I thought of when I wrote the prologue. I hope you don't mind that I say that as you have shared your grief and anguish with us. My words only mirror the sense of what the devastation might be like. My heart goes out to you and others who actually had to experience such a terrible loss and who truly suffered. Bless you.

And yes, the acting was once again exceptional, both pain and happiness.

Thanks for the recap!

Yes, Kemal's face structure resembles William Levy. Some of his facial reactions match too, such as when he gets pensive, its the same look Levy has done in his novelas with Maite Perroni. The lips also match. The smile is not the same, I feel Kemal's seems more genuine.

Last night's episode it was difficult to watch Nihan's dad begging Leyla not to tell his daughter the truth. And she just stares back at him, as if wondering what she ever saw in him to begin with. Truly a humbling moment for him. Hopefully Vildan gets hers too.

I'm unsure if Ozan actually knows why Nihan married Emir, but he definitely suspects, at the very least. It seemed like he was reproaching her for even considering that her love continues to exist for Kemal. Don't know if Ozan was just plain spoiled in life, but he's obviously not a very stable character. He does weird things from time to time, and it seems like the family babies him.

Now we will have to see how the tension between Vengeance and Justice plays out, and how Erick will handle the news of Charly being his father, not his brother, in addition to learning of Charly's culpability in so much evil. A lot for anybody to take in.

Still on Wm Levy, again, really appreciate you see it too. When I first saw the Amor promo, showing Nihan's portrait from when they met, I actually thought it WAS Wm Levy! Ran to Google and learned it was a Turkish TN. Sigh.

Leyla has a sadness, despite her House Beautiful. Nihan's dad was really begging. And I think Leyla promised to keep the secret.

Yes, Ozan really turned on Nihan in the car. Not sure either if he knows or was just being defensive? He does do weird things -- plus didn't he torch Salih's boat? I think family babies him due to his chronic illness, whatever it might be. Seen him taking medication, but have we ever been told what his condition is?

Judy, I always appreciate and am so grateful for your supportive comments. I'm glad there are a stalwart few of us that are able to enjoy this together.

I have no idea what Charly's reaction will be but I hope that he is able to realize what he has done and whom he has hurt. I always feel "I'm sorry" alone is not good enough. But, in this case, there may not be time for much more. Asking forgiveness of Yameli, Erick and Lidia would be a step in the right direction.

JUNTOS. Excellent recap Jarifa! So Ubaldo has fun being abusive? The art guy may be a new romantic interest for Soledad, who could really use one, but he seems a little old to be Dora's son--unless she was barely out of childhood when she gave birth. I too think it is good that Ubaldo broke it off with Carlota. There has to be another way to get evidence of his crimes!

Part 1

During the course of a lifetime, some relationships strengthen, others weaken and break. The strongest bonds tend to be with family, with whomever constitutes such a unit, forged with love and affection. Living and growing together, the parent/child relationship is usually the first and sometimes strongest relationship experienced.

But what happens when a parent and child are separated and further, what if, through a cruel twist of faith, your son is brought into the house as an adopted child? If the child is accepted by the sibling and treated with kindness, the bond develops. But if indifference and sibling rivalry rear their ugly heads, the relationship fails. Due to Charly’s cruelty and jealousy, his relationship with Erick was fractured seemingly beyond repair. What will his reaction be when revealed Erick is his own child, hidden from him and is there any possibility this new, redefined relationship can be salvaged? In spite of everything, we know Charly loves Vanesa. Will he acknowledge and accept or will he reject this child? When Erick learns the full sordid sins of his father, will there be room in his heart for forgiveness?

The revelation is still fresh as Yameli, Erick and Lidia cry tears of joy. Monchis is the cloud that will not dissipate as Lidia agonizes over what occurred. A single tear runs down Erick’s cheek. Yameli avers she has her Mateo. Mateo Lidia repeats, smiling. Lidia muses that Erick never crawled – he went straight to walking and ran all over the house. I'm so sorry. I should have asked Monchis where he got the child. I never followed up on any questions. Yameli again reinforces she has been a great mother for Mateo - a "gift of God”.

Lidia asked if Charly has been told. Yameli answers that it’s Erick’s decision.

Vanesa apparently has been told and is smiling sweetly. Does my father know? No Erick says. Vanesa never felt he was different because they "didn't share the same blood" and now she's so happy to know that they are truly brother and sister. I will go with you to talk with Charley Vanesa offers. He does not accept, wanting to go alone.

Next, Erick shows up at Charly’s door at Luxor as Charly is set to leave. He tries to get by him, indicating he doesn’t want to talk to him. Erick has other ideas and as he is prepared to start a scene, Charly lets him in, asking why he is there. Erick wants to talk about Lari., She is Yameli Montoya. I know that Charly spits out. Erick says she told me what you did. You put her in prison for something she didn't do. I saved her life Charly answers. Erick, furious, says man up Charly. Admit what you've done! Charly says don't be stupid - she's a liar. She wasn't pregnant when I knew her (then he remembers seducing her and is suddenly troubled, realizing she could have gotten pregnant from that night) But keeps saying he can't be Yameli's kid. So Erick shows him the DNA report. I was born in prison. Well I never knew Charly fires back. Monchis stole me. I just told you you're my dad. Aren't you going to say anything? Hey, I'm not the bad guy in this story Charly retorts. Oh, how wrong he is. Charly simply refuses to see the truth, standing in the flesh before him.

Wendy shows up at Yameli’s as Yam lifts her eyebrow, a lesser gesture than an eye roll. Come in and sit down Yameli says, trying to be gracious. Wendy tells Yameli she is glad she is out. The pleasantries end there as Wendy accuses her of getting involved with her husband. She reminds her she's pregnant and tells Yameli to leave her husband alone. Wendy plays her trump card saying she has a high risk pregnancy but of course doesn’t want Yameli to tell Juanjo. Yameli offers the weak excuse she didn't fall in love with Juanjo on purpose, it just happened. Wendy tells her -stay away from my family!

Lidia and Erick have another discussion where emotions run high. Lidia is holding onto her misguided perceptions saying she only has one doubt, and is afraid Yameli is going to go after Charly for revenge and he's not at fault. Erick stares and says Charly hasn't told you the truth.

Wendy and Juanjo are at the studio with Chris. She tells them that she felt baby move for the first time. Chris seems surprised at Wendy’s pregnancy as they are separated. Wendy smiles as Chris stares soberly.

Yameli goes to confront Charly. He wants to know why he didn't know about Erick. She explains she thought her son was dead. He tells her to get away from him. I don't think your daughter is going to care for you when she finds out you killed her mom she counters. Then, he has the colossal nerve and unmitigated gaul to accuse Yameli of being in love with him! Your problem is you're obsessed with me just like you were 17 years ago.

Lari does not laugh hysterically but reminds him he is "someone" because of her lyrics. Now you're going to tank. But I'll keep writing hit songs. You'll never have the recognition and love of your children. Charly asks when she learned she was pregnant and she replies in prison. I had a right to know, why didn't you tell me Charley asks, making himself the innocent victim here. Let's work this out.

It will work out when you pay for all you've done. You killed my grandmother. Put me in prison. That was all Monchis! Charly retorts.. Yameli counters that Monchis is a psychopath, a killer--but you're a coward, hiding like a victim. You'll never again have the admiration and love of your children.

Olmedo and Contreras still have the damn phone in a baggie. They call Charly and he blows them off thinking it’s Tono. They decide to put out the press release about Tono's death.

At the studio, Juanjo says that Yameli should be part of team. Wendy tells him that if you can keep your relationship with Yameli professional I'm okay with it. Juanjo argues that Yameli will add a lot and it's all for the good of business and future of baby etc.

Contreras has Charly in his office. He pulls the ace out of his sleeve, playing the recording of Charly answering “Tono’s” call. What is your relation to Tono? Charly stonewalls Contreras and says that's not his voice on phone. Ricardo replies that we both know it is. We don't like lies here. Charly keeps saying he doesn't know how to help...that's not him. Before he died, Tono said you arranged to have wife killed. You're obsessed with me Charly has the nerve to utter. You just want your 5 minutes of fame bringing down a famous person. (Interesting that he used same argument with Yameli). He and has the audacity to wink on his way out.

Yameli brings Erick to the studio. Yameli listens to Erick recording a new dance song with interesting rhythm. She compliments him and he says it's because "he has good genes".

Part 4

Wendy, privately, berates Yameli for working at Surround Sound but always pretends with Juanjo that she's okay with it. Juanjo says in a group meeting that Erick needs you (Yameli) Chris needs you. I need you. Yameli proposes that Jack del Castillo come in as music producer. Wendy seems to stifle a bit of a triumphant smile as she says Jack is a great man. Conversely, Juanjo is not happy and tells Jack so later. Juanjo talks about how Surround Sound will be No. 1 in Mexico as Wendy listens at door after pretending to go for water. Jack says all he wants is to see Yameli happy. But, he asks Juanjo, what are you doing? You have a wife and a baby on the way. Yameli has suffered enough. One of the many reasons we all love Jack…

Yameli and Zaria watch Yameli’s video where she says she now knows that Erick, Pez Koi, is her son.

Caro reports to Mora that she gave the money to his wife and his family is covered now. But, Mora now demands more money. For my family. Caro stares. I’m tired of doing what you say - I want three times the amount. And as soon as possible!

Caroline goes to Charly affirming the need to control the situation. I don't have any more money he says. Caroline cautions him to be cooperative. Don't change your version of what happened. Keep saying that Tono was extorting money from you. And also you need to handle the social media thing.

Juanjo and Wendy listen to and sign a new duo.

Charly is giving a press conference flanked by Caro and Axel. He relates that Monchis was his uncle and Tono worked for him. Yes, he knew him. And Tono started to blackmail Charly. Tono threatened that he would tell horrible lies about him if Charly didn't fork over money. In desperation, he gave him money but finally was tapped out and could give no more. That's when Tono killed his wife in revenge. He asks public to help him get past this painful episode in his life, he's asking from his heart for their help. Caroline then steps in and says no more questions.

Contreras is not fooled. We know the real Charly but these people believe what they see in movies and on TV.

We see Marlencita, Tono's girlfriend, learning of his death and retrieving the cell phone he gave her from flower pot. She asks a friend to unlock it. He will, but says it's complicated. (presumably herein lies the proof of Charly's involvement).

Caroline calls Charly to tell him Yameli is on video stream again. Yameli says she has more things to tell: 18 years ago she was betrayed, robbed of her liberty. But not only that. She was robbed of 100 songs including Reflejo. All of Charly Flow's success was due to me. He plagiarized my songs. He's not a composer, not a lyricist. Erick and I are the only ones who truly compose.

JUNTOS, EL CORAZÓN NUNCA SE EQUIVOCA Capítulo 6 Tuesday 8/20/19 Part 1

Another slice and dice this time of the original episodes 8 and 9. Hmmm. It seems that they can’t wait to finish this novela off. Anyway, one thing they left out yesterday was how cruel Ubaldo was to Soledad. He criticizes her shade of makeup and she changes the shade to please him.She asks him how she looks and he tells her she has crow’s feet.

On to tonight’s combo episode.

Carlota tells Ari that Ubaldo knows that he and Temo know about him and Carlota. He must have overheard when she was talking to Temo. She is upset because he broke up with her and she still doesn’t have enough information about her brother but she did find out that he was found dead on the property of an Isarnio Caballero.

Isarnio gives Ubaldo some advice: just keep putting his best face on so the focus shifts off of him. Ubaldo is upset having to think about that know it all Oleg now. Isarnio says why not think of killing two birds with one stone (killing two birds with one shot literally) since Ubaldo is an expert at that. Isarnio suggests that they conclude all of their agreements especially the ones dealing with the medications and then blame someone else. Elsa is the first person that comes to Ubaldo’s mind.

In Elsa’s class they heatedly debate if the end ever justifies the means. Mateo is his usual arrogant self. Ari, Temo, Carlota and Diego have some thinking to do when they find out they do not necessarily agree with each other.

Ubaldo talks to Elsa. He was looking for her and she wasn’t there. She reminds him she teaches during the week. He suggests she quit her teaching. He is concerned because his campaign is not as strong as it was at the beginning and they are fast approaching the end. Elsa has no plans on quitting teaching. Then, he wants her there right after after she teaches because he is planning on winning whatever it takes. He also asks that what happened yesterday with her husband or ex or whatever he is does not happen again. He cannot be apart of her professional life. Ubaldo tells her if he loses, she will lose, too. Elsa nods. He also needs her signature on a pile of documents.

Polita arrives in the communications class and the instructor introduces her. Ari claims her as his mother. She tells the class that it is never too late to dream. They applaud. They will be working on an assignment to create a campaign on contraception that resonates with young people. She is working with Diego.

Mateo harasses Temo in the library. Diego, Ari, Carlota and Polita arrive on the scene. Ari and Polita unsuccessfully tries to deal with Mateo. Diego finally jumps on a table and yells for everyone in the library to pay attention to Mateo because he really needs it. He must be really jealous of his sister Anya because her boyfriend Thiago made a video with her and announced she was his Jewish novia That sends Mateo over the edge and he tells Diego that his father only pretends to accept him to get votes. Unfortunately, the librarian blames Diego. Diego begs her to call his mother and not his father.

It becomes apparent that Temo has told some personal information about him and Ari to Diego. Ari is upset. Ari and Temo go off to talk alone. Polita asks where they went. Diego explains that they just love their drama. Polita smiles.

First, my utmost thanks and appreciation to Judy who interpreted all of the dialog to perfection. Judy continues to recap Mirada single handedly in addition to all of her many other responsibilities. Your time is precious - thank you for giving it so generously. Gracias amiga.

I wasn't sure how Charly would react to the news but I didn't expect almost a total non-reaction. There appeared to be no strong reaction, actually not much of a reaction at all, other than the worry how Vanesa might be affected. There seemed to be no surge of feelings for Erick at all.

Charly's many character flaws were on full display tonight.

JUNTOS Part 2

Ari tells Temo that there are certain things that are for them only. Temo explains his relationship with Diego. When he was a little boy and in Toluca he met Diego and they became friends almost immediately. When Ranch’s wife Rebeca died, Pancho fell apart. He had lost two wives and Temo had lost two mothers. Diego and the Ortega family were there for or him. They loved him as their own and helped Pancho rebuild his life. They always backed his sexual orientation. That is why Diego is not just his ex-novio; he is also his brother. Temo just wanted to share with Diego how happy he was with Ari.

Elsa meets with Ubaldo again and it seems that the damage done by Oleg’s interview wasn’t as bad as he first thought. She says he talked with confidence and that voters like that. She tells him that she knows he wants her spending more time at the office but she has to take care of some personal issues first. Her daughter wants her and Oleg to try marriage counseling. Ubaldo doesn’t care because he needs her in the office, She hands hm a folder with Isarnio’s agreements for the medications. She says her family is important. Jbakdo insists that she makes herself available. He has a big grin on his face as she walks out and he peruses the documents,

Carlota comes to see Ubaldo again. He says he thought he made it clear he didn’t want to see her anymore. They are not getting back together ever no matter how she begs and claims to love him.

Dani and the kids leave for Oaxaca.

Ubaldo watches another interview with Oleg where he accuses Ubaldo of profiting from talking about the death of his sister. It is very easy to profit from tragedies. He hopes the voters wake up before Election Day. Ubaldo is angry and sends a car out to pick up Oleg and bring him to the office. Oleg goes when invited by one of Ubaldo’s bodyguards.

Ari wants to do a video with Temo about themselves as a couple for his channel. Temo is not too sure but will think about it.

Oleg arrives to talk to Ubaldo and asks if he knows he could accuse hm of kidnapping and what the results of that would be. He thinks corruption suits Ubaldo very well. Ubaldo says if he wants him as an enemy he should know who he is dealing with. Oleg accuses him of using the sexual orientation of Diego to get votes. Ubaldo asks him how his success as a father has been. He has no idea of what is going on with his daughter and he abandoned his family when his son died. They argue back and forth and neither backs down. Ubaldo says Oleg said he wasn’t his enemy but look at him now. Oleg may be a famous writer but he Ubaldo can fulfill the needs of the people. Oleg tells him to go ahead and do it then and not waste time with cheap talk.

Temo is working on campaign stuff and Ari is ironing. Temo is sure about politics being his vocation. Ari is feeling a little less sure about his future because things are more of a struggle with hm and his music. He needs some different content on his channel and that is why he thought of the video with Temo.

Ubaldo comes home looking and bellowing for Soledad and she is not there. He tries calling her and the call goes to voicemail. He is so displeased that he crushes the glass in his hand and ends up with a cut hand.

Nora is in her room looking at her treasure: the postcard from “B” who she still misses after all these years. Dora comes in, grabs it and decides it needs to be burned. It represents a mortal sin not love and fire purifies. Nora needs purification. Nora cries and begs but Dora goes on ahead and burns the postcard.

Soledad is back at the same café. The art guy approaches her. He asks if she would mind if he sat at the same table and grade his tests. There are not many empty spaces. No problem.

Elsa is in bed and hears “Solamente una vez” being payed and soon other songs. She goes out to the living room and it is Oleg with a portable speaker saying the mariachi wouldn’t have fit. She tells him to turn it off. He refuses. She chases him around and falls on top of him. Face to face they smile.


 

JUNTOS Part 3

Then lovely moment doesn’t last long and they are arguing about Ubaldo. He does not get it. Why does she have to work for Ubaldo and not another candidate.? He is worried about her being tainted by his corruption. She explains she is backing Ubaldo because of all of the support he gave their son Andrés when Oleg wasn’t there for him.

Ubaldo is back at work with a bandaged hand talking to Mateo and Isarnio. He needs some new ideas on how to put a definite stop to Oleg Cervantes while he stays absolutely clean and unconnected.

Nora looks at the ashes and tells Dora that no matter whatever Dora did before, she has never felt for her what she feels now. Today she feels hate for Dora. Dora flinches when she hears that.

Ari and Temo continue their conversation. Temo never knew growing up would be so hard but with Ari at his side, nothing will stop him. They will always be each other’s hearts. Outside of their room on the floor is a cis oh sad Diego sitting on the floor in the dark. He decides to not take his anti depressants and goes out to meet a guy he met on the internet instead. They meet in a park. Diego wants to go to the guy’s house. The guy tells him to forget it. He like guys that are more discreet and not like him. Diego accuses him of being in the closet and afraid. The guy pushes him down on the ground and leaves. Diego looks at his photo of him and Temo.

Ubaldo comes into his bedroom where Soledad is already in bed. He tells her to turn out the light. He rolls over and puts a pillow in between them.

(What they left out: shortly after Ubaldo crushes the glass, Soledad comes home. He demands to know here she was and grabs her by the throat. He didn’t like the idea that she was out alone. She tries to explain how the other day he told her to go to the exposition alone so she though going out ”shopping for a book” would be okay. He threatens her. If he ever finds out she is lying and cheating on him, she will never see Diego again. He finally takes his hand off of her throat. He then meets with Isarnio and Mateo and come home to find her in bed. Earlier, Soledad sits with the art guy for awhile. He loves her fragrance. He offers to pick up the tab for the coffee and cake. She says she will next time and she leaves.Also, after Elsa has signed the documents, there is a scene where Isarnio walks into Ubaldo’s office with a lot of cash.)

It is morning and Carlota is jogging. She remembers the day that they found out that Andrés was dead. They were discussing her low math shoes when her mother got the call and her reactions. She next remembers being with her mother and father out at where Andrés had died and her other asking Andrés why he decided to go and take himself away from them. At the time, Carlota asked why did he kill himself there. (They cut out a third part where Carlota is at the death site alone this time swearing to Andrés that she was going to find out what happened to him.)

When Carlota gets home she is verbally attacked by a group of girls who are Thiago’s fans and are angry with her because she turned him down. Dora comes out and finally gets them to go.

Isarnio, Ubaldo and Mateo are talking about the plan for Oleg that Mateo came up with. Isarnio thinks it is too risky and that basically Mateo is a fool. Mateo asks Ubaldo if he wants to win. Ubaldo tells Isarnio to do what Mateo tells him on this one.
 

JUNTOS Part 4

Dora is upset that Nora is giving her the cold shoulder when she started it all. Dora plays the victim.

Diego told Carlota about the guy. She says he wasn’t worth it. Diego doesn’t think anyone pays attention to him and he is going to end up dead in an apartment filled with cats. Carlota tells him all of the good qualities he has.

Little Arqui plays hiding under the bed from Eduardo and Polita. He only comes out when he hears Santa won’t be coming if he doesn’t.

Carlota comes out of the shower. Diego sneaks in before Ari and Temo can get in. Ari is in the shower and Temo is shaving when there is no more water. There is also no water at Dora’s either and she complains about soap in her ears and eyes. Ora tells her there is no water in hell. Dora admits it feels like Hid is punishing her for just following His rules in relationship to Nora. Nora sits and nods.

A smiling Ubaldo has decided that he and Soledad should go and take Diego out to breakfast. Because they are the best family in Mexico. He want s it enjoy every single moment with them. He tells Soledad how good she looks and kisses her on the forehead. She picks up her perfume and remembers how much the art guy liked that fragrance. She thinks of what he said.

The water is still not on and the doorbell rings at the kids’ apartment. It turns out to be Thiago who barges right in and starts acting the fool. He takes off his shirt to fit in with the group. The next people to arrive are Ubaldo and Soledad. An unhappy Ubaldo wants to know why everyone is undressed.

Ah, Diana, that Corinthians quote is one of my favorites..."Now we see as through a glass darkly.." How often I have felt that way! And somehow, growing up as I did with the King James version of the Bible, that's the only way I can remember the key verses. The new vernacular versions just don't seem "serious".

Loved this phrase in your recap: "Monchis is a cloud that will not dissipate."

So true. That bad blood infected Charly and now he is reaping the whirlwind. Rather pleasant to see him sweating out each new development. But I'm also impressed with how he can glibly keep lying to Detective Mustache and company. Certainly following Caroline's advice to the letter--Just don't change your story!

Do feel sorry for Erick and his very natural disillusionment with Charly's reaction to learning he's his father. Those of us who had good, loving parents don't realize how blessed we were until we see a situation like that--in real life or in a telenovela.

Thanks for hammering out these beautiful, thoughtful recaps after a long hard day at work. And keep taking your multiple vitamins! This is a grueling task you have taken on. My part is very small.

Contreras and Olmedo have no doubt Charly is involved in Diana's death, they just need more evidence. Mora and Marlencita may be of help. When Contreras said he knew the person to help them get evidence, of course he referred to Yamelí. But I am not sure what Yamelí can add to what she already told them.

With all the legal help Charly needs, Caroline will have a lot of work. If only Charly had money to pay her she would be rich.

And yes, Charly gets a licking and keeps on ticking, doesn't he? I often use the phrase "Teflon" for those whom nothing seemingly bothers them. I suspect it applies here.

Yes, it is amazing that Erick is processing all of this as well as he is. While I suspect he wasn't totally shocked by Charly's reaction given the way he has treated him, it must have been a very painful wound.

I could not have done this without you. I caught bits and pieces of the dialog but not all correctly and some not at all. Gracias for your generosity.

Lucio, I'm so glad you enjoyed this. I think the phone is the critical key. As you so rightly noted, Yameli gave her eye witness account but it's her word vs. Charly's and sadly, he's not recanting or confessing.

I think Caro is becoming disillusioned quickly. If she doesn't get paid, she has no reason to continue representing Charly.

Excellent recap, Jarifa! I especially appreciate your filling in the blanks on the parts cut from the the full episodes. The plot thickens! Is Isarnio a killer? He seems a creepy as Ubaldo in his own way. So selfish of Ubaldo to suggest that Elsa quit her teaching--but then he's sociopathically selfish, and he's already setting her up for a frame-up. I suspect it was Soledad and Diego who supported Pancho and Temo in their grief, not Ubaldo. Dora has become disgustingly mean. Are the writers hinting that Nora was in a lesbian relationship? Diego's online hookups are really dangerous. Will they lead to some kind of tragedy or more likely near-tragedy?
 

SpanProf, interesting comment about the identity of “B”. It would make sense now that Dora called it a mortal sin.

That scene of Nora pleading with demented Dora not to burn the postcard was cringeworthy. I know how much old cards, photos, and keepsakes mean to me. Poor Nora living with that bitter pill Dora all these years and having creepy Ubaldo as brother ..uff. I am curious about Flora.

Jarifa, I only saw the harrowing scene between Nora and Dora but through your fluid words, felt as though I missed nothing. Most excellent.

My favorite lines were "Oleg goes when invited by one of Ubaldo’s bodyguards" and "Diego explains that they just love their drama. Polita smiles". Wonderful.

"It represents a mortal sin not love and fire purifies. Nora needs purification. Nora cries and begs but Dora goes on ahead and burns the postcard". Just brutally difficult to watch.

"Diego looks at his photo of him and Temo". My heart aches for Diego. Truly a lost, sad soul.

The Betrayed Take A Stand - Part 1

There are many conflicting emotions swirling in the minds and hearts of our beloved (and not so beloved) characters. Anxiety, fear, love, hatred and cowardice are but a few. Some are newly reconciled, others purposefully estranged. Some have been absolved as they are innocent, others temporarily eluding the inevitable charge of guilty.

As relationships hang in the balance, will the elements conspire to bring the seemingly ill-fated Juanjo and Yameli together or will Juanjo somehow find peace with his pregnant wife Wendy? The journey is certain, the destination unknown. We travel the rocky path as the answers to these questions await, not yet ready to be revealed.

Charly, sparkling in sequins, is prepping for a video shoot when Axel and Lili come to visit. Axel wants money for his song. Charly blows him off, says he's busy getting ready to film. Axel is furious and tells Charly you’ve humiliated me for the last time!. Punches are thrown and Axel leaves. Charly isn’t too shaken as his minions fluff and primp him back into shape.

Irma’s father is at a bar trying in vain to prove he is fit to drive.

And look! Jack is at Surround Vibes working with a new artist. Jack likes what he hears and wants to work with him. Jack is even singing a few bars and busting some moves. Then, Jack and Yameli go off to dinner. Wendy smiles fueling the fire as Juanjo sulks. Wendy says it’s amazing what a smile can do. You both are idiots for her. Better watch out, he's going to take her away from you.

As Wendy and Juanjo argue, Wendy's mom shows up and berates Juanjo for treating her daughter badly, telling him he should respect her. He tells her to let them settle it. She gets mad at Wendy for not sticking up for her. Wendy tries to calm her down but mama is not having it and flies out of the studio into the street as Wendy charges out behind her, right into the path of Irma’s father’s car. He is not only drunk but trying to text. There is a loud thud and the impact tosses Wendy on the hood of the car and is then thrown to the ground. Staff run out followed by Juanjo.

Charly talks to some photographer and pays him to take some photos of him with Irma that look "compromising".

Then DJ Mike comes to see him saying Axel is complaining about Charly stealing his Me Interesas song. Charly admits Axel gave him "the idea" but he completely re-did it. They both laugh about Axel's wanting to be song writer, singer and(hah hah) even maybe a producer. But Mike warns him that he doesn't need another scandal so maybe he'd better try and pacify Axel.

The videotaping begins. Irma, dolled up in hot pants, thigh high boots and a see through blouse gyrates as Charly manhandles her. She draws the line when he grabs her butt. She yells at him, halting the video. He claims nothing wrong, it's just "acting". She says touching my buns is not in the contract. He warns her she doesn't want him as an enemy. So is she going to do the video the way he wants? Yes or No. She says No. (Atta girl!)

Irma's father calls her. Tells her he screwed up. He needs her.

Serge and Vanesa are at a casting call when two girls look at her, asking her if she's Charly Flow's daughter, telling her that Yameli Montoya is on video stream saying Charly stole 100 songs from her. Serge shows her video on his phone and she hears Yameli say "Everything he (Charly Flow) has, is thanks to me”. Umm, perhaps Yameli should have warned her?? Later she confronts Yameli who says (none too gently) everything is true. Yameli apologizes for hurting Vanessa with the truth, but suggests that maybe Vanessa's love for her dad, and his love for her (here Yameli looks doubtful) will help him to change and be a better person.

Irma's dad tells her about accident. Irma is distraught as he tries to turn it around on his daughter – blaming her for not answering the phone or giving him enough money. She tells him he needs to face up to what he's done. - I can't he mewls, they'll put me in jail.

Juanjo and Mom visit Wendy in hospital. He tells her the baby is fine and she will be too after a little therapy. He goes off to see doctor and Mom promises her she'll take very good care of her and the baby.

Charly goes to see radio music guy and asks him to help him invent a "relationship" with Irma. He wants them to be the subject of hot gossip.

The Betrayed Take A Stand - Part 3

Marlencita gets Tono’s phone back from her friend and views all the information on Charly. She later meets with another friend and states she's not sure what to do. He suggests that since Charly Flow has a lot of money, they should hit him up for a good chunk of it. She knows there's info on there about the financial finagling and Diana finding out about it. She agrees to go along with her friend.

Charly goes and tries to make up with Axel, even while still being dismissive. Hands him a pitiful amount of money and Axel retorts that it isn't even 10 per cent of what Charly owes him. And it's not about the money, it's about how badly you've treated me. Longtime friends don't do that. Charly pleads that he's having a bad patch but he knows he's wrong and that's why he's apologizing. He suggests they go have a couple of beers and some fun. Axel says he's with Lili and Charly says he’s alone. But really, I'm sorry.

At home Vanessa asks Charly if he stole songs from Yameli. He says she's lying and he's sick of it. He's thinking about suing her. She takes his hand in hers.

Irma calls Erick, tells him about Charly getting so gross with her and fears that she's going to be fired. She wants to talk to him and to Juanjo.

Charly can't sleep and we hear the "revenge song" that Yameli wrote in prison during these scenes. He calms himself from some soothing drops of what ever is in that eyedropper.

Yameli is with a sound engineer listening to song. She thinks it's a little slow and he offers to bump it up a little to give it more punch.

The Betrayed Take A Stand - Part 4 (Last)

Juanjo tells Yameli about Wendy’s accident. Yameli is naturally concerned…However, Juanjo thinks it's best if he goes back for a while and lives with Wendy and baby. I love you but I need to be "solidario" (loyal, helpful) with Wendy. Yami looks as though she herself is sick.

Yami talking to Zaria who says half the people believe Yami, half believe Charly. For his fans, Charly is a god. Yameli is not satisfied and will ensure that Diana’s case is reopened. The only other witness is the accountant so they discuss the necessity of getting to him. Yameli says Tono killed Diana, but Charly is the "intellectual author" of the crime.

Tono's girlfriend comes up to Charly pretending to be a fan and asks to take a selfie which he obliges. Then she says I have something you need to listen to. In the car, he tries to grab phone. She tells him she has it backed up on her computer and on the "cloud". It's the information about Diana and the money laundering going on at Luxor. She wants 10 million pesos and he has but 2 hours to get it. Otherwise, this goes public. Finally says she'll give him till the end of the day. He gets out of car hearing it was a "pleasure doing business with you."

Irma tells Erick and Juanjo that it was her dad who hit Wendy. She offers to pay all the costs of the accident but excuses her dad's cowardice and behavior. He's been depressed since the death of my mom. He's the only family I have. Juanjo, with his usual dumb look, says "We all make mistakes. But your dad has to man up and face what he did”. Meanwhile, her father is consoling himself, drinking and crying, a bottle of liquor in plain view. So much for remorse. Lesson not learned.

Chris and Erick do a duet. The little we heard sounds catchy. Unlikely but surprisingly good duo. Chris has a much better voice than I thought.

Then Irma tells them about Charly and Erick explains that Charly was super-grosero with her. They advise her to break the contract. But don't say anything about them and Surround Sound. Then they'll talk to lawyers and see about hiring her.

Looking like a wild, caged animal, Charly goes to the safe and gets the gun Monchis gave him long ago. He's bleeding from nose. (Are we supposed to assume that's coke.?) Vanesa enters and gives him a tissue. I love you he says and hugs her as his eyes fill with tears. He says she is the only thing he has left in life.

DJ Mike plays the song Charly stole from Axel. You dog he yells in the car. Being the latest in a growing number having been betrayed by Charly, Axel FINALLY goes to Yameli. Axel says he can't believe she's the clueless little girl he knew years ago in the barrio. She tells him prison can sharpen you up real quick. Axel says don't misunderstand me - you look great now. Yameli says she wants people to know his talent. He's mad that he didn't copyright the song he gave to Charly. But admits to Yameli that he's written other songs. And Me Interesas is not his best.

Yameli smiles and says "You see, I knew you had talent."

If it weren’t for Judy providing almost all of tonight’s dialog, I would have been totally lost. Way too fast and furious for me.

A few thoughts. The previews had shown Wendy getting run over, so it was not a surprise. I feared typical TN fare, Wendy being conveniently gotten ”out of the way” and/or losing the baby. And while that didn’t happen, Yameli and Juanjo are effectively kept apart. At least for the moment.

I thought it was terribly inconsiderate of Yameli not to seek Vanesa out before she gave the interview. After all, Van is her son’s half-sister.

Finally, Lucio, I keep thinking back to your list of candidates who might have better filled the role of Juanjo. There was a great vibe between Axel and Yameli in the last scene. So much charisma being wasted on a peripheral character. But it’s not over yet.

JUNTOS, EL CORAZÓN NO SE EQUIVOCA Wed. 8/21/19 Capítulo 7 Part 1

Ubaldo tells them all this is the last straw and starts dressing them down. Thiago he is supposed to be a professional and look at him. He knocks off the towel wrapped around Diego’s head asking him why he is wearing it because he looks like a little girl. Soledad tries to tell him it’s no big deal and Ubaldo tells her to shut up. Ubaldo only wants a logical explanation for it all.

Isarnio informs Mateo if his idea does not work he will make sure he never works again in his life. Isarnio warns him Ubaldo’s success is riding on his plan. Mateo quotes from Genesis 1:2: “And the earth was without form and void and darkness was over the face of the deep and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” Isarnio cannot see how any of this has to do with religion. Mateo says he should know: God creates chaos and destruction to restore order. In order to build anything you have to destroy everything first.

Everyone is now dressed and soap sudsy free at the kids’ apartment. Thiago lies to Ubaldo saying he wanted to talk to talk to Carlota about some aspect of the campaign. Carlota backs him up. Ubaldo asks them to leave so he can talk to the boys. He admits to not knowing everything about their “community” but there is a big difference between freedom and debauchery. Soledad asks if they used protection. They all try to say o that they didn’t do anything but Ubaldo and Soledad take it as no they didn’t use protection. Finally the boys starts explaining and it starts to make sense. Dora stumbles in still in her bathrobe and shower cap asking why they cut off the water.Soledad asks if she didn't read the news. Nobody else read the news either. Ubaldo asks how the government is supposed to communicate with them if they do not keep up to date with the news. There was an announcement that the water would be turned off in the whole city today. . . .

Marriage counseling with Oleg and Elsa.,The therapist asks why they have problems. They answer in unison: because they are very different.

Carlota is still hemming and hawing with Thiago who is still after her. He is all about “the present” because you never know about the future. They end up play fighting over his phone and she sort of likes it.

The therapist just listens as Oleg complains about Elsa’s penchant for rules and she defends the need for them. He felt like he was suffocating. The therapist asks why they are together. Again they answer in unison: because they are very different. Again they are back to freedom vs. rules. The therapist wants to see them all of this week. Even though she thinks they are a strange couple, she thinks they can find a solution.

Ubaldo, Diego and Soledad go out for breakfast. Ubaldo asks hm how his depression is going and if the medication is helping him. Diego doesn’t quite get the question or the breakfast. It is all great but what happened. Ubaldo grabs Soledad’s hand and says that he knows he can be a little hard sometimes but he wants them to know he is doing this for them. Hey give him the strength to do it. Ubaldo leaves the table to answer a phone call and Diego asks his mother what is going on. Is hisndad going to send him to a boarding school? Soledad says no but since this morning he has been in a very strange mood.

Ubaldo tas on the phone with Isarnio whontells him he has never seen anything quite like that Mateo has loaned and what it could implicate. Ubaldo says all is fair in war. Mateo tells Ubaldo there is still time to “repent”. Ubaldo tells him the less he knows the better

Ubaldo returns smiling to the table and wants to take selfies so everyone can get to know his beautiful family.
 

JUNTOS Part 2

Eduardo and Polita watch her video with Diego for the communication class assignment. Little Arqui comes bouncing in.She tells him you can do your homework and still be cool. Little Arqui just continues being cute. Ari and Temo watch the recording Ari made with Carlota for the assignment. He thinking of closing down his YouTube channel.

Just as Nora and Dora are going to get into it again, Oleg and Elsa appear. He says he thinks of them as his there’s and Dora gets all upset and pale.. Elsa asks if she is okay. Dora insists that she is fine.

Ari is still talking about his insecurities with Temo. He says that before he knew Temo nobody really cared about him. With so many people each of the Córcega’s had their own role to play Ari felt like his was not to be important to anybody. He admits that his mother supported him but she was submissive to his dad and he ended up feeling like the black sheep of the family. Temo tries to tell him how special he is. Temo says he would like for his message to be heard by more people. He would like more people to heat their story so they could be inspired to fight for love.Temo finally agrees to do the video with him.

Dora is now seated on a stoop as Oleg apologizes for upsetting her. Elsa wants to call Ubaldo. Dora says that is not necessary. Dora turns the attention of of herself and starts asking nosy questions about Olegario and Eva’s marriage and how their therapy is going.
She finally realizes after she is reminded by Elsa and Mateo that this is not the time or place.for this kind of discussion. Nora invites Oleg and and Elsa to breakfast. As Dora is moaning about something, Nora pretends not to hear her.. Maybe she hears is a mosquito. Oleg tells Elsa those two need therapy.

Ari and Temo get ready to record their video. Temo gets cold feet for a second. Ari has a Halls mint and then is ready to introduce everyone to his novio Temo. They post the video and it gets tons of positive comments. The video is a huge success. The boys are happy.

Nora is in her room and is looking with nostalgia at a stuffed animal. She thinks back to what Oleg said about her and Dora being like mothers to him. She sees it as a sign but what could it mean?

As he works on his computer, Mateo tells Isarnio that today is the day their moment has arrived. They are going to declare war and win..

Elsa and Oleg visit Carlota at the apartment. She is all happy about her parents in counseling. Elsa tells her not to get ahead of herself with her expectations. Unexpectedly, Ubaldo, Soledad and Diego arrive. Oleg doesn’t miss a chance to be rude to Ubaldo and calls him a thief in front of everyone. Elsa calls Oleg on his behavior towards her boss. Ubaldo literally brushes it off “like water”. Ari and Temo come out not knowing everyone is there. Suddenly everyone’s phone is notifying them of a text. They all open the text. The text is a video of Ubaldo telling everyone that the people can be easily manipulated/he doesn’t care about the city/ power is the only true thing. Everyone is shocked. Ubaldo says it as all false. He never made those declarations.Elsa agrees. Ubaldo wonders who would want to hurt him. He admits to having m ore enemies than friends. He needs to find out who attacked him.

JUNTOS Part 3

Ubaldo is leaving for the office and his wants Elsa, Temo and Carlota to go with him. He is curious to see what they are saying on the social networks about him. Temo tells Ari he will be back ASAP. Ari says if he gives him that gum he will miss Temo less.

Little Arqui is still being silly. Ari and Diego have stopped by. Ari asks her how her classes are going. She talks about everything she has to do and read. Ari volunteers to take his little brother to the market so Polita can have sometime to do her school work. Diego invites himself along.

Dora is pacing in the courtyard of the Apartment building. Oleg sees her from the hate and has to chuckle. He calls to her to get her attention.

Polita tells Ari his only priority should be his schooling. She will take care of all the rest. He wants another part time job so the family can improve its lot. Polita kisses Little Arqui goodbye as he is ready to go to the market with Ari.

I just loved “Everyone is now dressed and soap sudsy free at the kids’ apartment” which had me chuckling. A great line.

The few times I looked up I saw variations of Sergio’s smiling lips but cold, dead eyes. “Ubaldo returns smiling to the table and wants to take selfies so everyone can get to know his beautiful family”. A lot to take on an empty stomach (mine)! “He admits to having more enemies than friends” shows he can at least acknowledge the truth.

I cringed at the last scenes for obvious reasons. I will wait to comment until you finish. I hope you had fun yesterday!

That was just a terrific resumé of the plot line in this. And I agree also that the actress playing Yameli seems to have a lot more chemistry with Axel, than with Juanjo.
There's no way I can root for anybody but Jack at this point. But we shall see.

And loved your verb "mewls" for Irma's dad's sorry excuses for cowardice. Don't know if this story line is a PSA for dealing with alcoholics or what. Irma makes so many ridiculous excuses for her dad's sorry behavior. Maybe they'll get her into an Al-Anon group and Pops into AA before this wraps up. Anyway, as a character, he annoys me even more than the narcissistic Charly. I hate weaklings who blame others for their poor choices.

Hope the weather is fine wherever folks happen to be today. We've got rain falling at the moment but it also sounds lovely on our roof. And as long as I'm snug and dry inside, all good.

JUNTOS Part 4

Dora chit chats with Oleg. She admits to needing a lot of things including having the water turned back on. He asks her how they can help her to get what she needs. She is not losing faith but she doesn’t know. He tells her ometimes we search and search for something that is right in front of us. She comments that his mother must be very proud to have his support. He admits to to not knowing because he never met her. It was just him and his dad. His dad was a man of very few words but full of lots of love. As he moves on, he kisses her on the cheek and she looks on wistfully after him.

Soledad talks to Nora and informs her that Ubaldo threatened her.Nora asks if he knows about the art guy. Soledad does not know but Ubaldo told her if she was cheating on him, she would never see Diego again. Nora has to admit her brother is just he best in some matters but as for others, Nora fears for Soledad. Soledad is afraid,, too, so that is why she prefers to stay in her gilded cage. At what price is freedom? Nora decides to tell Soledad that Dora destroyed something that she loved a lot. Nora says she is old but Soledad isn’t and needs to keep fighting.Soldad insists that she cannot given the stakes. Nora says she will go with her to the café and be her accomplice so she can continue seeing the art guy and feel alive,

Ubaldo meets with his team to discuss how somebody who is very smart and powerful doesn’t want him to win the election by ruining his good image. Carlota is filming it all. He is not about to let that happen. They need to find out exactly who made the video. They need to get on it immediately. Elsa is going to schedule a press conference for today so Ubaldo can inform the public that the video was fake. He wants Mateo and Temo to create a strategy for messaging on the social networks. Elsa wants to review each of those messages. They cannot risk anything not following the same line of thought. He wants Carlota to keep filming it all.

Ari and Diego are with little Arqui at the marketplace. Diego thinks it is really cool not having been there before. Ari has his mother’s shopping list list. Arqui is interested in it all. Ari holds on to Arqui’s hand.

Dora is at Polita’s house having brought little Arqui a gift. Polita is so pleased that Dora thinks about him. Dora wants to wait until little Arqui gets home so she can see his expression when he sees the gift and also if it fits him. Dora would have loved to have had a son like him. Polita ask if she ever got married. Dora says that is really not Polita’s business . . . Polita apologizes and says it was only curiosity. Dora picks up the gift for little Arqui, tells Polita it wasn’t a good idea to stay to chat with her, reminds Polita about her payments that are due and leaves. Polita keeps cooking.

The boys keep shopping at the market. To his surprise suddenly Ari is surrounded by a group of girls who are fans. They all want a photo with him. Little Arqui gets lost in the shuffle. Ari starts to search for his little brother.

Mateo suggests just going with his ideas to save time. Temo asks what if he does not agree which it’s them. Mateo says he really is still inexperienced. This is a crisi and they do not want to fail. Temo says best that the boss decides what he wants. Mateo reminds him he may be the favorite but he has a lot to learn and Mateo can teach him. He looks at Ari’s latest video with Temo and starts to criticize him for taking the personal and moving it into the public arena like a show hoping for some applause or some kind of approval. Mateo is called to Ubaldo's office.He is happy he is going alone. He hopes it means he has discovered that Temo is immature and still a rookie.
Temo asks him if he is declaring war. Mateo answers he has already done that.

Ari keeps looking and finds Diego so he can help look, too. They keep frantically looking.

I fervently am hoping Jack swoops in at the end and ends up with Yameli as well. Seeing Yameli with Axel as so refreshing. A scene where she converses with a male who is actually animated and expressive! Shocking!!! Juanjo's blank stares have gotten to me - and not in a good way.

Diana, I think it is hopeless to try to convince Vanesa or Lidia to believe Yameli over Charly.

There were indications of cutting in the last two episodes. Abrupt scene changes. People appearing in places for no reason. According to the TV listing, this show ends next week. So, we have 7 episodes to go.

I have not finished reading the recap and must because I wasnt sure what happened between jaunjojojo , whining wendy, JACK, and Yam. However,I had to stop to comment on "fluff and primp" and " touching my buns was not in the contract. Wow, did you ever think that you would be writing that in a recap? I thought I recognized the word "nargas." ThankS for a smile on a rough morning. Now, back to the excellent recap. I will be back later.

Nihan and Kemal talk about her marriage to Emir. She doesn’t tell him about ozan’s problem, but rather makes it seem like she married emir for monetary reasons. Kemal looks like he’s breaking.

Emir and Zeynep flirting in his car. Later on she’s at dinner with her fiancé and the family. She looks disgusted and Kemal notices. In the bathroom she’s texting Emir. She’s way in over her head thinking Emir likes her. Her ego inflates with each text.

Nihan and her dad are speaking of emirs illegal business transaction involving Kemal. It seems Kemal will continue with the project, but Nihan wants to let him know something is wrong. She calls him but he doesn’t answer, so she goes to visit him. We see him come out of the shower.

While there, Kemal tries to brush her off, implying that he’s tired of her game. She continues to see him, says one thing and then leaves him bothered. Nihan gets uncomfortable, tells him to put a shirt on.

Asu rings the doorbell, nihan rolls her eyes and hides in his bedroom, but not before telling him to cover himself as he’s going to answer the door.

Kemal tries to entertain Asu. Meanwhile, Nihan is trying to find some comfort in his bed. Asu asks to go to the bathroom. At the first opportunity, Nihan runs out of the home, showing her jealousy to Kemal first.

Nihan calls her friend Yasemin. She’s trying to get her to call Asu and get her out of Kemal’s home ASAP. Yasemin reasons with Nihan, telling her that her jealousy is unbecoming. She’s married. She can’t get jealous over her ex boyfriends private life. He needs to move on. Nihan hangs up, dissatisfied. In the meantime, Asu is getting drunk and Kemal can’t even finish his first glass. She then looks unfit to go home and Kemal lets her stay in his room. Once alone, it seems she was faking it. She’s upset Kemal won’t return her affections.

The next day Nihan and her dad are plotting against Emir. They both agree that he has made everyone suffer.

Asu has been awake for a while in Kemal’s bed, but doesn’t get up until the house grates go up and Kemal tells her they need to go to work. She apologizes for her behavior last night.

Emir returns a small blue item to Nihan’s dad, pretending that the service found it and assumed it was his. Nihan’s dad takes it, looking worried. Emir calls his blonde worker and tells him to carry out the death sentence. He’s looking at Nihan’s dad, who at the moment was speaking to Vildan. Nihan’s dad is in danger.

The blonde guy calls Kemal’s older brother. It seems he will be the one to carry out the plan.

JUNTOS Part 5

Ubaldo talks to Mateo about the good job he has done and calls him astute and loyal. From this point on, Ubaldo will handle it. As a matter of fact he will be firing the first shot across the bow in a few minutes. Mateo also has some ideas about how to separate Ari and Temo but he will need Ubaldo’’s assistance in overwhelming Temo with work. Ari and Temo have to see each other the least time possible. Mateo will take it from there sowing the seeds of doubt.

Elsa asks Ubaldo to let her know what he is going to say at the press conference so she can assure a continuity in approach. That is a no go because he knows exactly what he wants to say and what is best for him. She sees that as a dangerous approach at this time of crisis. He makes it clear he doesn’t care what she says so she quits on the spot. She looks a bit surprised when he allows her to do it.

Oleg gets a text with a link advising him to watch the Ubaldl press conference.

Ubakdo tells the press that everyone deserves an explanation of the video that was released earlier that day. He has overwhelming proof from his investigation that the video was altered, a “slice and dice” (my words not his LOL) as it were, of previous speeches he had made. It was produced to hurt his image and his lead in the polls. A dirty war has been launched against him. He knows Olegario Cervantes is behind it. Elsa and Carlota look shocked, Oleg a bit but not so much. Ubaldo will be presenting all of the evidence they have against Oleg. They have to push forward with justice and truth. Since Ubaldo’s mission is to fulfill the wishes of the people, he
takes this opportunity to fall about his plans to solve the water problems in the city.

Polita is content at home cooking away. The water is back on. Diego and Ari come in. She asks where little Arqui is. Ari begs her forgiveness before announcing that Little Arqui got lost.

Mateo should have been Ubaldo’s son. What a nefarious creep.

Sorry, but Nora should have hit Dora up side the head before she burned the postcard and MOVED OUT. Too many long suffering women for no good reason.

Now, Soledad has a reason for her reluctance because she could end up dead. I cannot see Ubaldo keeping almost adult Diego away from his mother unless he institutionalized one of them or killed one of them.

Ubaldo is naïve if he thinks he can break up Ari and Temo. I predict it ain’t happening. We have to have a happy ending, right?

Thanks for your good thoughts! I had a wonderful day on a beautiful lake with good friends, a comfy boat and tasty food. Lucky me got away with only one bug bite!

Diana, I agree with all your observations. Wendy's mother is always sticking her nose into that marriage and stirring the pot. I, too, thought that Wendy was either dead or lost the baby thus clearing the way for Yam and juanjohum . Come on , writers, do The unexpected and put Jack and Yam together in the end. I am going to use a new phrase I just learned in the Outlander forum.... "Presto bingo". As in "presto bingo....Jack and Yam together in the end !!!"

I hope Chickie and her animslitos are doing better.

It is going to be another 90'degree day here, but then temps falling into the high 70 s for the next couple days.

Oh no Lucio!!! You know, I am going at a furious pace trying to keep up but something caught my eye last night (can't remember what) and I did wonder if things were being cut. I hadn't noticed anything the night before. How could they??? There is no filler and everything that happens, especially from this point on is crucial.

And your "I think it is hopeless to try to convince Vanesa or Lidia to believe Yameli over Charly" was perfectly on point. Sigh...

And yes "If only Wendy's mom could stay quiet". I thought the writers rather clever in that if Wendy had died or miscarried, it would have been mama guilty of driving Wendy into the street rather than Juanjo directly. That made me think it was curtains for Wendy. Wrong again...

Hi all, I think last night was episode 71. I believe there were 82 episodes. So if there are only 7 episodes left as Lucio said, 4 episodes have and will be cut and pasted into the last 2 nights and the remaining 7.

Why the rush to leave so much material on the cutting room floor? Just so the next can start on a Monday? BTW, I don't even know what it is. Ack.

I like Nihan, but she was ridiculous last night. Not only does she tell Kemal to cover himself up, but then she tells him to zip up his sweatshirt!

Kemal was right to call her out for jerking him around, and her friend Jasemin was right to call her on her jealousy of Asu. Of course, we know Asu has no shot and he's been faithful to Nihan all these years.

Those grates on Kemal's house are crazy.

You're right that Zeynep and Emir could get very ugly. Awkward family dinner.

The thingy that incriminated Nihan's pa in Emir's evil eyes was the cufflink pa dropped when replaced a document in Emir's briefcase.

Nihan [and Leyla] will be devastated if/when something happens to pa.

JUNTOS. Sounds like a great vaca day, Jarifa! And thank you so much for doing this excellent and very detailed recap anyway on a day I had to miss because of picking my husband up at the airport bus. And as usual on a day I miss some really important things happened! Mateo seems a bit nuts in addition to being malevolent. The water business with Ubaldo assuming the worst sounds kind of funny. Is Oleg Dora's son? He too seems a little old. But yep, things seem to be pointing that way--or it could be a red herring. And it looks as if it might be Ari + Diego, not Temo + Diego. Oh no! Poor little Arqui! I hope they find him this episode and don't make us suffer too long.

I agree Nihan was being childish, but Zeynep and Asu also were ridiculous imo. The first for not being intelligent enough to put the pieces together and the second for not understanding that Kemal doesn't see her that way.

AnonFri, thank you for recapping. As in all telenovelas lots of unrequited love. "He " wants "her" , but "she" is with "him" etc. Lots of beautiful people in this one , and a plot full of angst, longing, and secrets.

SpanProf, yes, Mateo seems to be a bit twisted besides evil. It would be interesting if Oleg were Dora’s long lost son. As for age? Maybe she was really young when she got pregnant. BTW, I am really on a permanent vaca since I took early retirement a couple years back. : )
