Thanks, deb, for this info. I recall enjoying La Doña and will probably be interested in the sequel. Especially if it's in the 9 PM time slot. I'm glad to see that both Aracely Arambula and Danna Paola will be back. And I've always liked Carlos Ponce (even in the stupid ads he does).

PRESO NO. 1 – JUEVES – Parte 1 de 2
We begin with Jaime Bracamontes approaching Isabel Alvarado Arteaga at the wake for Salvador Fraga. He is trying to get her to give him another chance. She tells him that, if his father didn’t want his daughter to be with a ranchero president, he certainly wouldn’t want him to be with the daughter of a prisoner.
In a flashback we see the little snot breaking up with Isabel at school. When he tells her it’s because of his father hating her father, she slaps him hard.
Two years ago, we see Emanuel, his campaign manager, suggest that he marry Miranda Collins. He says he should be married and that his reputation as un mujeriego (womanizer) doesn’t do him any favors.
In this same time frame Carmelo is having lunch with Sara. She tells him that her mother still cares for him. When he looks interested, she says…kidding. She calls Miranda an idiot. He asks her not to insult Miranda and says he’s thinking of getting married. He tells Sara that he thinks he and Miranda would make a good pair.
We see Miranda remembering that night with the vulture; i.e., Lazcano, and suffering.
Still in the recent past Isabel tells her mother about Jaime. Caro tells her it’s true she didn’t like his aristocratic pose, but she didn’t hate him. Isa tells her mother that she’s no longer a virgin. Caro asks if she protected herself. [I really liked the way Caro handled this whole episode with her daughter.] She tells Isa that, if she gave herself for love, she should have no regrets. When Isa tells her why Jaime broke up with her, for being a snob and obeying his father, Caro: ¡*&$%# su madre!
Carmelo is with his mother and Sara. The week before he takes office they are showing highlights of his former television show. They are watching an interview with a priest. He says that this priest was the one who gave him the idea to run.
In the present and at the prison Carmelo talks with Toño about believing Ramsés is Sara’s biological father. We see Ramsés enter the yard.
The scene switches to the grave site of Salvador Fraga. Carolina gives a wonderful speech. She says that an eagle lives for 80 years. Around half its life, its plumage is old, its claws and beak are weak. It’s dying. The eagle flies to un risco (cliff), gets rid of its old feathers. It then pulls out its talons with its own beak, and, finally, beats its beak on a rock. Then it has new plumage, new talons, and a new beak. The eagle then flies off to begin the second half of its life. She compares this to when Sara died and Chava had to begin again.
Knife in his hand, Carmelo heads straight toward Ramsés. Tuerto intercepts him and tells him he’s not a killer. When Carm insists, Tuerto knocks away the knife. But Carmelo then proceeds to beat Ramsés to death while the other prisoners crowd around and no guards appear.

Just then Carmelo comes to see her. He tells her that there was always something between them and maybe it’s still here. She denies this and is very cold. Almost out the door he tells her that, if she asks, he won’t marry. He practically begs her, calling her mi alma, but she refuses.
Piña looks at Ramsés’ body and leans over toward Carmelo, who is on his knees with his hands behind his neck. He tells him that he did this to himself. Carmelo replies that whatever they might do to him, it was worth it.
Sara meets Carlos/Joe/Watermelon Guy at the pool of some club. He keeps saying he loves her. [I’m running out of steam so I won't write this whole scene.] In short, she promises him that, if he tells her mother, Francisco, and others of her father’s team about the plot to get her father out of office, she’ll go away with him.
Carmelo is back in his cell, not in solitary. He’s yelling for Toño, and a guard comes to tell him that Chacal (the jackal; i.e., Piña) is talking to the police.
Acting president Rivas is being surrounded by the press. He says that the trial will be soon. He calls Carmelo the President. This gives Guido another stroke!
Piña gets a folded piece of paper from Carmelo. He tells him that, yes, he killed Ramsés and has nothing more to say about it. Piña says he doesn’t understand him.
Carolina is at the prison waiting to see Carmelo. Piña, instead of just giving her the note, reads it aloud. Caro, mi alma, no te quiero ver. Dale besos a mis hijas. Vete y no vuelvas. Caro keeps insisting she wants to see him.
I think this is at the hospital where, sadly, Guido did not die. Pia is drinking. She tells Juanito she doesn’t want to “retire” to that island with his father. Juanito says that perhaps Mayorga would take care of this. [Not sure what this means, but maybe Pedro could be on his way out.]

interesting one act play, the XY4 auction takes place while Titi and CataG struggle in the air duct above, the negotiations are stumbling, guns drawn but holstered below, while CataG blames Titi for Mari's downfall above, ending in a kiss, oh wait, Titi has a bit lip, being a business man he will give up Mariana, she offers to give him witness protection, pssst, Titi wants CataG to be his partner.
did Titi call his girl, titica?
and did he say he loves CataG so much, that if he killed her, he would then have to kill himself, aaa...
Hilda grabs Al's hand and CataM's hand, where one goes they all go, till they are settled in chairs, she spills on Al's sickness/dying and gives his letter to CataM to read, then leaves, Al and CataM work their way through troubled waters, love prevails, CataM shows her survival side, she tells death to step aside. (we look for Nachi in the background, gun drawn, keeping his loved ones safe)
DEA Val is captured by Mari and Dayana, thrown to the floor, Mari tips the Hand to CataG, guns to the ceiling, wait yells Mari, Titi is there, (they brought him in because he is the only one that can tame CataG), they don't wait and shoot the ceiling out, Titi and CataG come crashing down, Titi dusts himself off and introduces himself, CataG is out cold, I think.
las DEA's suit up, dress, heels, hair, makeup, but wait, they arrive at the hotel with Mike as old corny tourists, his investigations has discovered Osman here, they work their way to the VIP rooms on the top floor.
Hilda goes outside to meet with Mirta and Liset, I guess no one got any of the special soup, and see Sal's car who is lurking, but so is Calvo, Calvo makes a move, Sal is on it, Cal stops, gun at Sal's window, Sal calls the police, ha, they don't come to this neighborhood, breaks his window, drags Sal out, but Hilda is on it, slapping and cursing, the girls have got Al and CataM, Calvo says I see you are having a family reunion, I'll leave, Hilda breaks his car window, then we get some uncomfortable hugging and peeking.
Jota's recall sequence runs it's course, he didn't kill Laura, he's in the clear, it was Paola, (wasn't she a walking dead at one time).
Val and CataG are tied to the chairs, (Diabla has such a tough time being a nice person and how long can she go without a drink), Mariana will decide CataG's fate, and according to DEA's finest, karma will seal Marianas.

Muchísimas gracias for this superb recap. It brought out and clarified a lot that I had missed.
I may be misremembering, but I think we also see Emanuel offering to bring Carmelo and Miranda together. I remember when, in an early episode, Carmelo calls Emanuel and tells him about the plan to free him, and then Emanuel tells Miranda, who tells Mayorga, and the rescue attempt is a disaster. At the time, I was under the impression that Emanuel was on Carmelo's side, but now seeing a flashback where Emanuel is important in bringing Carmelo and Miranda together, I find myself wondering whether Emanuel is somehow involved in the plot against Carmelo.
I too was glad that Caro asked Isabel whether she used protection when she had sex. However, I wasn't all that happy about Isabel's answer: "I think so." I hope we don't see Isabel suddenly fainting or throwing up.
Re "Tencha" -- I'm pretty sure Carmelo's mother's name is Hortensia. I suppose Tencha could be a nickname of that.
It's interesting that every person Carmelo loves and/or respects calls Miranda an idiot and urges Carmelo not to marry her, but he does't seem to care. I especially loved Caro's statement to Carmelo: "We're being forced to accept an idiot First Lady because you can't keep it in your pants."
Lately, Comcast seems to drop the captions from last sentence or two at the end of the episode. It happened again tonight. When Pia complains to Juanito that Pedro expects to retire with her to the island he has bought her, I think Juanito says Mayorga se puede encargar, which I think means "Mayorga can take over/take control." This may fit in with what you've said, novelera, about Pedro being on his way out (and probably not willingly).

I found last night's episode infuriating. Carmelo has the acting president on his side, with a possibility of his name being cleared in a trial. Then he murders someone in prison, and it was not even close to self-defense. So he's chosen revenge over something that happened more than 20 years ago over all those promises he's made to the people of Mexico. How can he possibly return to office after this?

To my forum friends: I have not been on Caray forum for quite a while because the last TN I followed was PASL2 which ended awhile back. I normally follow 2 telenovelas and once in a while 3, but at this point, I only have ONE (amor eterno) because all the others are just TOO VIOLENT, constant narco stuff---very tiring and depressing. Can't we get a break from that?? That is why I like Amor Eterno. Now, I'm feeling so stuck because aside from JUNTOS, which does not interest me, I'm desperately looking for at least a new telenovela that will start soon. The only upcoming I see is DRAGON which is same old NARCO NARCO CARTEL NARCO!!! Can anyone help me out here, alerting me to something that will start in September that deals with OTHER THAN this NARCO, DRUG VIOLENCE stuff??

Just a couple of things.
Juanita: Thanks for bringing up the Emanuel/Miranda/Carmelo connection. It’s strange and a bit confusing. Even as he was pushing Miranda and Carmelo together, did Emanuel have his sights set on her, too? IIRC in early episodes (present day), Emanuel and Miranda were sleeping together. At that point I questioned Emanuel’s loyalty to Carmelo. Should I still question it? Emanuel was angry when the prison break info got back to the baddies. He blamed Miranda but I thought she really was innocent on that account. They ended their affair after that.
novelera: I have a (crackpot) theory about Ramses’ murder. I don’t think Carmelo did it but he’s willing to take the blame. To protect someone else? Thinking it could have been Voyo or even Toño. Toño tried to dissuade Carmelo and Voyo tried to stop Carmelo by knocking the pick out of his hand. It fell to the ground and Carmelo and Ramses engaged in a fist fight. Chaos ensued. When the crowd cleared, Ramses was on the ground beaten and it looked like he was stabbed as well. Someone else picked up the weapon and stabbed Ramses? That’s the only way back for Carmelo, IMHO.

At that point I questioned Emanuel’s loyalty to Carmelo. Should I still question it? Emanuel was angry when the prison break info got back to the baddies. He blamed Miranda but I thought she really was innocent on that account. They ended their affair after that.
novelera: I have a (crackpot) theory about Ramses’ murder. I don’t think Carmelo did it but he’s willing to take the blame. To protect someone else? Thinking it could have been Voyo or even Toño. Toño tried to dissuade Carmelo and Voyo tried to stop Carmelo by knocking the pick out of his hand. It fell to the ground and Carmelo and Ramses engaged in a fist fight. Chaos ensued. When the crowd cleared, Ramses was on the ground beaten and it looked like he was stabbed as well. Someone else picked up the weapon and stabbed Ramses? That’s the only way back for Carmelo, IMHO.

I too don't believe Carmelo killed Ramses, he beat him pretty good but Tuerto got between them and covered Ramses so he couldn't get hurt, but then we don't see what happened next, and later Tono was away giving a statement, but then what does he have to loose.

So Santiago n the boss Shadow are abt to make that move out of the big house.. the zombie, blowfish medicine is being picked up by a carrier, however the suppliers don't sound enthusiastic abt Shadow making it out..alive..
Then back at the hospital Carlos the dog and the cops roll up to question Jota.... but Carlos is told not to interfere. .after the fuzz arrest Jota, Carlos recognizes his mistake, n insist Jota be freed. .
JOTA, snitches get stitches, so keep struumpp abt Paola, she may not be guilty, although she did smash the crap outta Laura. .
Mean while Santiago n Shadow had the screws put to them.. then they get the Hook Up ( dope ) from the doctor on the payroll. .
Back in BLACK HAND VILLA. .the remaining cooperatives survivors are plotzing...and Yessica Suggest,,they offer to exchange Marianna .for CG..

next business is killing CataG, but hey let's let Val reveal herself first, Mike blows the doors, Mari almost does a backflip in the blast, and the endless ammo shootout begins, (ah the simple days when they only had 6 shooters) Titi works things so CataG is spared, to the roof, and CataG is rescued, Mike joins las DEAs, following CataG to the death, CataG on the roof as the chopper pulls away, what? no more bullets, they fly back and force her off the edge.
Mike pulls CataG from a ledge, I think she scuffed her heels, DEA group hug.

Tonight's episode is entitled "el verdadero asesino," and for a while there's some uncertainty about who really killed Ramses. Caro comes to the prison and asks to see Carmelo. Piña reads her the note Carmelo wrote saying he did not want to see Caro, and he shows her the note so she can see it is in his handwriting. Caro insists that Carmelo did not kill Ramses. Piña says he has already admitted that he did, though they still have to verify this by looking at the footage from the security cameras. The cameras don't lie. Piña proclaims that Carmelo is really done for.
We also see a conversation between Tuerto and Carmelo. Carmelo admits that he feels confused. He doesn't feel as satisfied as he had expected after killing Ramses. Tuerto tells him no, you didn't kill Ramses. You're not an assassin. The security cameras don't lie. This time we see the footage. Whereas in the previous episode we saw Carmelo beating Ramses very severely and then we saw Ramses lying lifeless on the ground, this time we see that when Tuerto knocks the pick out of Carmelo's hand, someone picks it up. And then I think we see Tuerto clutching Ramses and stabbing him.
Though I think the footage makes it moderately clear that Tuerto is the assassin, later in the episode Toño tells Carmelo that he's given his testimony. Carmelo asks him what he said. "The truth." "What do you mean, the truth?" asks Carmelo. "The truth is the truth. I killed Ramses," says Toño. "You dropped the pick and I picked it up and killed him." Carmelo replies: "Evodio killed Ramses so that I wouldn't get my hands dirty."
Another interesting and somewhat confusing aspect to this episode concerns Belisario, the owner of the newspaper.. He gets a phone call from Pedro Islas, and he's worried that Islas is going to ask him to name Pia Balañas as the new director of the newspaper to replace Salvador Fraga. To his surprise and relief, Pedro asks him NOT to name Pia to any position on the paper. Belisario tells this to Ricardo Montero as the preface to his offering Ricardo the position of director. Belisario acknowledges that Salvador wanted the position to go to Carolina, but Belisario felt Salvador was blinded by love for Carolina. Ricardo accepts Belisario's offer.
This isn't the last we hear about Belisario, however. When Sara returns from her meeting with Carlos, Emanuel, Francisco, and Caro ask her where she was. She refuses to tell them, and says even if she told them, they wouldn't believe her, just as they didn't believe her about Belisario. [Huh? Was I asleep?] But, she goes on, Francisco knows the story. Francisco says he doesn't know all of it. He knows that Belisario's daughter-in-law is in jail. This happened 20 years ago. Emanuel asks "Was she ever proven guilty?" "Not exactly," says Francisco. "Belisario was so upset that he couldn't do anything for her that he ended up firing her entire team of lawyers." Apparently Diana, Belisario's granddaughter, told Francisco it was suicide, and the forensic reports also claimed suicide.. The dead person was her father. [For some reason, Sara says that Belisario is a creep, but I have no idea why.] Oh, one more thing. We switch briefly to the penitentiary at Isla Marias where Belisario's daughter-in-law is being held, and we see a dark haired woman walking alone by the water. ???
There's a lot more. For example, the conversation between Sara and Carlos; Pedro's worrying about why some guy is coming back ahead of time; the possible implication of Isabel's thinking "March, April, May"; a scene at the end involving Bautista and Pedro; Piña's telling Tuerto "I have a proposal" as the episode ends. But I have to be up early tomorrow morning, so a ti te toca.

Piña reads her the note Carmelo wrote saying he did not want to see Caro, and he shows her the note so she can see it is in his handwriting. Caro insists that Carmelo did not kill Ramses. Piña says he has already admitted that he did, though they still have to verify this by looking at the footage from the security cameras. The cameras don't lie. Piña proclaims that Carmelo is really done for.
We also see a conversation between Tuerto and Carmelo. Carmelo admits that he feels confused. He doesn't feel as satisfied as he had expected after killing Ramses. Tuerto tells him no, you didn't kill Ramses. You're not an assassin. The security cameras don't lie. This time we see the footage. Whereas in the previous episode we saw Carmelo beating Ramses very severely and then we saw Ramses lying lifeless on the ground, this time we see that when Tuerto knocks the pick out of Carmelo's hand, someone picks it up. And then I think we see Tuerto clutching Ramses and stabbing him.
Though I think the footage makes it moderately clear that Tuerto is the assassin, later in the episode Toño tells Carmelo that he's given his testimony. Carmelo asks him what he said. "The truth." "What do you mean, the truth?" asks Carmelo. "The truth is the truth. I killed Ramses," says Toño. "You dropped the pick and I picked it up and killed him." Carmelo replies: "Evodio killed Ramses so that I wouldn't get my hands dirty."
Another interesting and somewhat confusing aspect to this episode concerns Belisario, the owner of the newspaper.. He gets a phone call from Pedro Islas, and he's worried that Islas is going to ask him to name Pia Balañas as the new director of the newspaper to replace Salvador Fraga. To his surprise and relief, Pedro asks him NOT to name Pia to any position on the paper. Belisario tells this to Ricardo Montero as the preface to his offering Ricardo the position of director. Belisario acknowledges that Salvador wanted the position to go to Carolina, but Belisario felt Salvador was blinded by love for Carolina. Ricardo accepts Belisario's offer.
This isn't the last we hear about Belisario, however. When Sara returns from her meeting with Carlos, Emanuel, Francisco, and Caro ask her where she was. She refuses to tell them, and says even if she told them, they wouldn't believe her, just as they didn't believe her about Belisario. [Huh? Was I asleep?] But, she goes on, Francisco knows the story. Francisco says he doesn't know all of it. He knows that Belisario's daughter-in-law is in jail. This happened 20 years ago. Emanuel asks "Was she ever proven guilty?" "Not exactly," says Francisco. "Belisario was so upset that he couldn't do anything for her that he ended up firing her entire team of lawyers." Apparently Diana, Belisario's granddaughter, told Francisco it was suicide, and the forensic reports also claimed suicide.. The dead person was her father. [For some reason, Sara says that Belisario is a creep, but I have no idea why.] Oh, one more thing. We switch briefly to the penitentiary at Isla Marias where Belisario's daughter-in-law is being held, and we see a dark haired woman walking alone by the water. ???
There's a lot more. For example, the conversation between Sara and Carlos; Pedro's worrying about why some guy is coming back ahead of time; the possible implication of Isabel's thinking "March, April, May"; a scene at the end involving Bautista and Pedro; Piña's telling Tuerto "I have a proposal" as the episode ends. But I have to be up early tomorrow morning, so a ti te toca.

The story of Belisario’s daughter in law in jail for 20 years but not convicted in her husband’s (Diana’s father) death. Belisario made sure of it. It was confirmed a suicide but I guess he’s punishing DIL for the death. Cut to woman on the Islas Marias beach. Cut back to Sara’s interrogation, Caro enters and they all start talking about Crazy Joe, and (Crazy) Sara’s plan.
Please don’t tell me they are going to start slicing and dicing this novela.
Belisario is an SOB, among other things as Francisco said. He doesn’t want Caro in charge because he’s sent her to tell the Carmelo story and when the heat comes, he wants Caro to take the fall and not the newspaper. He’s willing to sacrifice her. Montero takes the job.
OMG, Carmelo is pissed that Caro kept her rape a secret for 20 years and you can’t build a relationship on that?! How about all his cheating? Voyo says he doesn’t understand and neither do I. Voyo is the voice of reason here.

Caro asks Isabel to find pictures in Chava’s box to bring to the meeting. Isabel finds a paper and says, that *bleep* raped her! Malena notices Isabel is upset and speaks to her about Jaime. Forgive him. Isabel counts months. Is she thinking about the timing of her mom’s rape and Sara’s birthday? Or something else?
Carmelo is taken away in chains. He’s leaving the prison and bids farewell to Tono. I’m wondering if this has anything to do with what Rivas Macin signed.
Does Bautista have presidential aspirations?
There’s a plan to have Voyo betray Carmelo in return for his freedom.

I think it was Tono that grabbed the pick off the floor, but then Tuerto grabbed it out of his old hands, he stabbed Ramses 10 or 15 times I think they said, Tuerto is a killer.
I wasn't clear on the Belisario story, I thought he put the sister-in-law in prison and it was Diana's father that tried unsuccessfully to get her released and couldn't, leading to his death, maybe we'll hear more, hmm, a prison on an island but we see the sister-in-law walking alone on the beach.
I also thought Belisario agreed with Salvador that Caro was the best pick to run the paper, but he has her writing up the last 3 months of Carmelo's life, a good story for the paper, but she will create many powerful enemies, and his slant is this way they will be hers and not the papers.
interesting scene of Caro calling Sara at Chintas, she is there to care for injured aunt (whom she calls guey), but realizes they have set her up to keep her away from Joe.
go away Jaime (had enough of him in the last novela).
I'm guessing Rivas is having Carmelo moved to a safer place to await trial, I wonder if the Pina deal with Tuerto would include squelching the surveillance videos which would toss Carmelos chances of getting out.
I'm also guessing the morning meeting will reunite Carmelo with his family and the afternoon one will concern the trial.
I'm also thinking Pedro and the guys have their own airport thingy where they come and go with their private jets and Juan is probably waiting for their big guy from D.C. who is flying in, because it worries Pedro that he is coming early but he doesn't want to show it.

I sort of remember that his granddaughter (Diana?) who came to the paper as a sort of intern or at least a lowly beginning staff reporter, despised her grandfather and avoided him at the velorio (or funeral) can't remember which. I had the impression that Belisario's son committed suicide, but the old goat decided his wife (Belisario's DIL) had killed him. He had enough cloud to get her imprisoned on an island, even though there was no proof of her guilt.
And, yes, Belisario's all about keeping his cash cow newspaper going. He wants that Carmelo Alvarado story to sell papers and knows that naming names will bring some higher ups down on someone's head. But, as the owner of that paper, you'd think he'd get blowback as well.
So, is Diana's mother on the island Pedro Islas just bought?

I did a little skimming on SSSHP3, epi 62 and 63 (gran final)
Soraya, Santi's psycho girl friend set him up at a motel where it looked like he killed his boyfriend Tony, CataG's body guard.
CataG is shown the evidence by the coronel and visits Santi, and seems convinced.
Soraya is then sent to woo the presidential candidate Black Hand wants to control, (as they had trashed his girlfriend) she will get him elected if he makes her first lady.
Daniel (with phantom mask as he was burned in the fire that killed Ximena) finds Martin's country home, freeing (pregnant ??) Lucia and another girl, he bashes Martin who shoots him in the leg before he bashes him good on the head, he looks dead. (I think they said Valentina (Ximena's girl) escaped.
Diabla gets a new face, shoots the doc and later reveals herself to Titi, with Dayana and Mariana they form the Cartel of Babes.
pregnant CataM and Nachi leave for Bogota to go to school.
Albeiro has had enough living with Hilda and Carlos, he packs his bag and leaves, running to chief CataG and professes his love, Valeria shows up for her new job. Fin.

Lucia and another girl, he bashes Martin who shoots him in the leg before he bashes him good on the head, he looks dead. (I think they said Valentina (Ximena's girl) escaped.
Diabla gets a new face, shoots the doc and later reveals herself to Titi, with Dayana and Mariana they form the Cartel of Babes.
pregnant CataM and Nachi leave for Bogota to go to school.
Albeiro has had enough living with Hilda and Carlos, he packs his bag and leaves, running to chief CataG and professes his love, Valeria shows up for her new job. Fin.

I went over the Belesario story but the english caps are too cryptic. She is on the Islas Marias,
"As of 2011, the islands were used as a penal colony until February 18th of 2019 when Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (then Mexico's President) ordered the closure of its operation as Islas Marías Federal Prison."
I couldn't find a name for the island Pedro stole, but I think Juan called it Pia island, ha!.

David Chocarro, who was the love interest, had prior commitments when they decided to do 2, and so won't appear.
David Zepeda and Carlos Ponce will be fill that spot.
Danna Paola "has been recording in Spain during the last months of the second season of Elite , so everything seems to indicate that she will only have a special participation in the new chapters of the TV series".
Halimacandy- your 'La Felina' (Marisela González) from El señor de los cielos will be in this one!

I forgot to add, Jota takes Vanessa and baby to some house and locks her in a cage (probably why they are not still together) and then he gets grabbed by Laura who is about to run a knife into him in some kind of ritual when Paola comes to life and bashes her on the head.

I'll repost this later, when the Monday night page is up, but I thought I'd mention that, as some of you know, Juanita and I put up labels that you can see at the bottom of each page. These labels are so future followers of recaps can find them, sometimes years later. The label for El Final del Paraíso is sin-senos4, since it's the 4th season of the novela. I'm not watching this one, but I peek at the recaps, and it sounds like lots is happening. You may want to label it for people who view it online in the future.
