La Usurpadora - Capitulo 19
Wilson threatened Ernestina with death to keep her from calling Paulina and informing her of her mothers death, he later tells Paola that Ernestina wont open her mouth and Paola doesn't seem to believe him because in her own words Wilson can't "scare a three year old". Wilson asks her if anything they are going to do will hurt Paulina and Paola tells him to shut up because he's prettier when he's quiet.
In Mexico Emilio and Fernanda are wasted. Emilio drank a lot and did cocaine and he passed out while Fernanda suffered a medical emergency- she had her appendix burst and Emilio was unable to get her help. Emilio eventually wakes up, realizes she's in trouble and calls Juana for help.
We get some background info on Juana, she was pregnant and gave birth to a stillborn baby- this led to her boyfriend becoming an alcoholic, she feels a strong connection to Emilio because he's so alone. I'm not gonna lie, this almost made me cry.
Carlos goes to the hospital and somehow thinks its a good idea to verbally abuse Emilio, Paulina is able to get him to calm down, but more importantly she makes him see that a lot of Emilio's issues are due to Carlos being a crappy parent.
Fernandas mom made it clear that she did not want Emilio near her daughter but Carlos went to bat for Emilio and explained to her that if Emilio has issues it's because Carlos failed him as a parent and he explains that Emilio loves Fernanda, this eventually leads to Fernanda and Emilio being able to meet, Fernanda tells Emilio that it was his dad who managed to change her mothers mind about him.
Now lets talk about my baby boo Pedro, let me just say I'd watch anything with this actor in it, he's so charming and I just want to hug him and drink a cold beer with him, I hope he gets more work because he has been a highlight for me.
Pedro finds Diego and tells him about the attempted suicide, he tells him that Lisset was upset not by the pictures being leaked but by the fact that he betrayed her. Pedro promises to give Lisset a letter Diego wants to send her if he agrees to tell him everything about Molina's scam, Diego agrees.
Meanwhile Molina hacks Pedros phone and learns that he is gay, he later taunts him with this information by asking Pedro if his new boss knows he's gay, and points out that military men don't like homosexuals in their ranks. Burn in hell Molina. Burn in hell.
We also learn that Pedro hates liver with onions and I feel him, I'd fake my death before I ate that.
Also Pedro had earlier told Pascual that Molina was the one who leaked information to the media.
Paulina is worried because she has not heard from her mother, Montse tells her to calm down, after all bad news spreads fast and she's sure there's nothing to worry about. Paulina goes about her day by visiting a community center that helps teen mothers with medical care.
Now, lets visit the trash panda known as Manuel: He gets arrested because the body of the hit man was found in Gonzalo's backyard, Manuel manages to bribe a cop and gets access to a phone he calls Teresa and informs her that he is in jail and about to be placed in a line up- if the hit mans mother recognizes him they are done.
Paola has just arrived in Mexico and Teresa tells her that Manuel is in trouble, but oddly enough she minimizes the danger they are all in and tells Paola that Nava has nothing on Manuel. Teresa leaves to try and help out her brother and she does, she breaks into the hit mans house and finds a picture of his daughter, she then threatens the mans mother by telling her that she will kill the girl if the woman identifies Manuel as the killer.
The plan works and when the line up happens the mother claims not to recognize Manuel, Nava tries to find out if someone threatened her and promises to provide protection but the woman realizes the danger she is in and sticks to her story.
Paola calls Paulina and tells her she is in Mexico and wants to meet. Paulina agrees and when the two are together Paola starts by telling her that they have to be closer than ever, because they are the only family they have left, and then she tells her that Olga is dead. Paulina slaps her and tells her Olga was her only family and blames Paola for her death.

I would just like to say how grateful I am to Ria, yourself and all the other recappers. Your dialog translations are crucial.
Last night was a perfect example of how lost I was. Most frustratingly for me was that I did not understand what happened to Fero. After I read your recap, I know that I will however.
Pedro was the man last night. Although I couldn't understand most of what he said, he had Diego bawling like a baby. Not that I wanted him to, he is an innocent party here but at least they know Diego's involvement was forced. I did loathe Molina's taunting of Pedro, but he will get his. OT, did anyone here watch La Malquerida?? Molina's beautiful eyes had been haunting me and I finally figured out he played Memo. He is good looking here but oh, so much more in real life.
I got almost no sleep last night which is why I don't think I'm going to try and relate any of the other few things I seemed to grasp. I will leave that to others. Have a long day here at work and will try to come back and read the recap as soon as I can.
Wishing you all a good day.
Diana
Diana - looks like it was appendix that ruptured for Fero and they took her straight to surgery. Glad she came out well! And I agree with you on Pedro - he was spectacular. He ended up telling Diego about Lis's attempted suicide, which provoked Diego's bawling and a confession.
I did not watch La Malquerida, but notices that about his eyes even here! He plays a villain, but a very handsome one!
How about the whole Manuel in jail/Terry to the rescue storyline? I almost thought Nava would score at least one win.
Sorry you got little sleep Diana, hope the weekend coming up is a restful one!
Off for an appointment. More later.
I should have realized Pedro told Diego about the suicide attempt but I am grateful you explained that.
Manuel! Yes...And the one thing that struck me odd was that Manuel and Terry did actually seem to be happy to see each other once he was sprung from jail. I thought Terry held onto him a bit too long though.
I did feel badly for Nava as he had Manuel dead to rights of course. I am hopeful they will figure out what happened. I don't even want to wonder if Terry would have hurt the little girl...
I also sort of smiled with Paola and Wilson with Manuel and Terry. Wilson looking like the idiot he is with his jealousy showing and Manuel puffing up his chest.
Judy, thank you for the information and for "these two morph wonderfully well from beloved character to heinous villain".
I often think it is better to be a character actor or non-galan. Actors can show their versatility and have more work. Haven't seen Colunga or Levy in anything in years. Yanez was smart to take supporting roles...
Diana
Too bad for Pedro that Molina has text messages between him and his novio and is using that to try to shut him down.
Nava was the tenderest I've seen him last night, with the hitman's grieving mother.
Paola has assembled quite a crew hasn't she?
Diana, I hope you can get ample rest tonight. Thanks for getting us started.
Princess JuJu, looking forward to your recap.
Niecie: Molina is a piece of SHIT.
Diana: Yanez portrayed the President of Mexico in "SMALV".
Niecie, I did think Molina was taunting Pedro about his novio and appreciate your confirming that. And I was struggling to think who Memo's girl friend was in LM. I would not have remembered it was Sabine. What a memory you have!
Steve, yes, I actually watched a few minutes of Eduardo in the TN you reference. Lookin' good.

Thank you all for waiting for this recap, my apologies for how late it is!
Paola doesn't seem to believe him because in her own words Wilson can't "scare a three year old". Wilson asks her if anything they are going to do will hurt Paulina and Paola tells him to shut up because he's prettier when he's quiet.
Paola sure knows how to manage her lackeys!
This is so tragic for Paulina. But I have mixed feelings about her now. She left her ailing mom with a nutty, resentful sister. Thankfully, her mom died of natural causes, not due to Paola. But seeing sunny Paulina at the breakfast table waiting for Carlos to kiss her goodbye for the morning -- while Paola was doing the expected and reeking havoc after Olga’s death -- irked me. Not blaming Paulina, but I'm ticked at her just the same.
If I'm remembering the start of the story, the only thing Paola had to keep Paulina in line was the fear she'd harm Olga. With Olga laid to rest, Paulina should be free to move one, if she wanted to.
Diana, I thought that Molina was galan handsome , but I did not realize that he was in La Mal. thanks for pointing him out. Do you remember who his love interest was in La Mal?. He should be doing galan roles.
I have no idea where this show is going or how it will wrap up the plot.
Maybe Wilson and Manuel will do us all a favor and kill each other off so we don’t have to watch them salivating over Paola.
What a place for Paola to tell Paulina the truth in front of the image of the resurrected Christ. The art department is outdoing itself in its creativity.
I agree that Pedro is a teddy bear.
On we roll!
Loved your "trash panda" description of Manuel. You do come up with some originals.
Wishing you clearer skies and better breathing soon, amiga.
I love Pedro too! But I love his other half (Pierre Louis) more. I hope Molina has a nasty ending.
Like Judy, I loved "trash panda" for Manuel. So fitting!
Heavens, Terry moves like lightening, doesn't she? She would be the first one I'd call in a crisis. She delivers too. Such a shame though that Manuel was able to weasel out of this...
So Emilio loves Fer? Guess I blinked and missed that. The attraction was obvious but well, I guess that is what happens when there are mere hours left to wrap this up.
My favorite line was "Paola tells him to shut up because he's prettier when he's quiet". Paola, can you not see? I admit him stealing from the foundation made him completely unattractive to me, but let's face it. He wasn't all that to begin with.
Interesting there is no love between most of the sibs here - Terry and Man and Paola and Paulina. I suspect only one will be standing in each pair ere the end.
Susanlynn, it was Niece who ID's Memo's girlfriend in La Malquerida as Sabine Moussier.
Thank you Princess! This was great. Wishing you fresh air soon. Take care.
Diana
