Tuesday:
Hussein is still reproaching Kemal for turning his brother in. Kemal maintains that his brother confessed to him, that he knows Tariq killed Karen. Hussein asks if perhaps Emir tricked him into believing that. Kemal says no, he has Tariq’s confession, and it seems he will be the only one to stay with it.
Zehir calls him to say he found the maid that was present the night Mujan Kozcouglu “died.” He asked about the status of Tariq’s case. Kemal mutters that his brother was released. Zehir did not look pleased.
Tariq is given his possessions and is released. He meets his parents and sister. They’re all very happy, but then Banu shows up at the precinct. Tariq requests his family to go ahead. Fehime loudly says that she doesn’t know who that lady is. Tufan tells her she’s an employee of Kozcouglu business. With everyone gone, Tariq reproaches her for betraying him. He’s done with her and won’t let her talk. He leaves to catch up with his parents.
The former Kozcouglu housemaid starts to cry when she remembers the night of Mujan’s attempted suicide. She confesses to Kemal and Nihan that what occurred that night was not a suicide attempt at all.
Tariq goes to speak with Emir. They both now share the same common enemy, and Tariq thanks Emir for getting him out of prison. He leaves and Emir gives Tufan an anecdote on brotherly bond or something.
The lady confessed everything to Kemal and Nihan, and they both can’t believe what really happened. The lady wants them both to destroy Galip. When they leave, she’s looking at a photo on the wall, of small blonde boy.
Kemal and Nihan ran out. He tells Zehir that he will finish off the Kozcouglu family.
Galip is in his car and receives a phone call. He finds out that Kemal discovered his secret. He demands to know how he found out.
Emir receives an alien phone call from Galip. “Have you seen Kemal all day today?” Emir realizes that he didn’t.
Kemal is driving and receives a call from Galip but rejects the call. Galip gets very angry that Kemal doesn’t pick up. Soon Kemal enters the Kozcouglu Holding. Nihan and Zehir arrive shortly.
Emir lets Kemal know that he has been waiting for him or his father to show up at his desk: “Any good news?” Kemal tells him he knows his weaknesses now. “Are you tense?” he asks. Kemal continues with the story of Mujan. He tells Emir that Galip tried to kill his mother 25 years ago. Emir gets mad and tells him to shut up or he’ll kill him. Kemal tells him he’s only telling him the truth. Emir recollects a bit of himself and tells Kemal that he made a good attempt at getting him irate. Kemal says he knows he hit a very sore spot.
Nihan and Zehir watch Galip arrive at the business, demanding to know if Kemal is there. At the same time Emir is threatening Kemal for telling him the lie. Kemal wants him to know the truth: “There’s still more to the story: You took my brother from me,” he claims. “I’ll give you Tariq back, if he’ll believe you at all” Emir gloats. Kemal tells him it’s not Tariq who he’s talking about: “I’m here to return your brother to you.” It turns out that 25 years ago, Mujan gave both to another boy. Galip thought she cheated on him, so he tried to kill her. Kemal then threatens that he will soon finish him off, and that he should be afraid now. Emir tells Kemal that if what he said was the truth, he will personally assassinate his father. Kemal doesn’t want him to do that, though.
Galip is desperate to find Kemal and finally sees him in Emir’s office. Emir is fuming at his father. He asks him about his supposed brother. He’s had enough of everything: did he really try to kill his mother? Galip denies it. Kemal then closely asks Galip: “Didn’t you throw your wife over the balcony?” Galip roughly grabs him by the shirt and proclaims himself as Kemal’s worst enemy, apart from Emir. He wants to kill him. Kemal leaves them alone, but not before telling them he will finish them off one by one.
Tufan thanks a ginger haired lady. Kemal sees him exit his office and stand next to Emir’s office door. He caught him snooping.

Emir asks his father if he really tried to kill his mother. Galip says Mujan was a weak woman, so she threw herself. Emir wants the answer to one question: does he really have a brother? Galip is telling him to calm down.
Tufan goes back into his office and reports to someone over the phone that something bad has happened.
Galip barely confesses that Emir has a brother. He quickly tells him that the child in question is not his: his mother left for vacation for a few days, which turned to months. Emir hadn’t gone with her because Galip was worried she would take him and not bring him back. And then one day she did come back for Emir, tried to escape various times with him, but failed. Then Galip saw that she received a letter from her lover, who was waiting with their child for her to return.
Emir tells him he knows why he tried to kill her. Galip flashes back to the date of the tragedy. He demands from Mujan for a reason to not kill her. Mujan cried that she didn’t cheat on him, but he gives her the letter from her lover. He tells her he knows she had a son elsewhere, and he wants to know who her lover and child are so that he can kill them. She tells him she would rather die than tell him anything. He forces her to the roof. Without another alternative, she stands on top of the balcony rails as a five year old Emir looks up from the garden and waves at her. She waves back and he placed his red car toy on the ground. At that moment she made a choice to not throw herself, but Galip rushes to push her off. Emir cries in panic for his mother, whose body is before him. Galip takes in his son’s cries for help and realizes Emir saw his mother die. The maid, meanwhile, had seen everything and quickly hides.
Emir starts to hit his father. “How could you have killed my mother instead of her lover?” Galip sits up on the couch, a tear in his eye. He tells his son that she was responsible for everything: she hated him, she abandoned the family. “What would you have done in my place? If Nihan had a son with Kemal Soydere? What would you have done?” Emir has no response and walks out. Galip cries.
Zehir is with Kemal in his car. They are going to their next target.
Fehime asks Tariq if he still thinks about Banu. He doesn’t tell her about his relationship with her, just tells her she’s the receptionist at the office. “Have you been spending your nights with her?” Tariq is like what!? “Yes, you know that that is very unpleasant for us, for you to be sleeping around with a woman before marriage.”
Vildan finds Onder and Ozan together at the foyer, with luggage. She tells him she didn’t mean to kick him out. He responds that he’s tired of her antics already. She says she’ll never let him leave. He says this will be his greatest achievement: to finally leave her. Zeynep shows up and asks him not to leave too! Vildan says if he dares leave through that door he will never be allowed to come back. He doesn’t care and steps out with his luggage. She continues to beg him to forgive her. Meanwhile Zeynep is telling Ozan that she’s worried she caused this whole mess. Ozan told her that once his father makes a decision he carries it out.
As Onder is being driven away, Vildan still begs him to stay until she can’t keep up and then starts threatening that he will regret making this decision. Vildan turns around to reproach Zeynep and tells her she will pay for the lie she planted, and tells her son to open his eyes: Zeynep is using him for her grand sinister plan. Ozan, mastermind of emotional blackmail, tells his mother to shut up or he will leave too, just like his father. Zeynep starts to cry and tells him she doesn’t know how much longer she can take this anymore. Vildan stares at them, realizing she’s alone because she lost her whole family one by one.

Asu asks Leyla if she is also against her relationship with Kemal. Leyla claims she has no opinion on this, it’s not her problem. Asu realizes that she doesn’t agree with it. She says she loves Kemal just as much as Nihan does. Leyla bluntly tells her: “Does he love you just as much as you love him? It’s not a question of how much you love him. Kemal simply fell in love once, and despite everything Emir has done to separate Nihan from him, Kemal and Nihan love each other, and they will be together again someday.” Asu hates hearing this and looks offended. She tells her she needs to go right now, but offers a ride. Leyla doesn’t take it and watches Asu leave in distraught.

He couldn’t get over that she cheated on him (unsure if that really happened, it could be she requested a divorce before and he refused, so she left without Emir first to save the second child).
When I saw the small blond child in the photo, I thought of Tufan.
RGV Chick, it’s two seasons with 74 episodes total, but they aired in Turkey as two hr episodes. This novella seems to be long, like the traditional Mexican ones. We are approaching the end of the first season.

Sorry for the all caps screaming but THANK YOU SO MUCH ANONFRI!
AnonFri, you have really been holding it down here, muchisimas gracias! Very lame but to comment I have to go to a library computer, sometimes difficult, but I am always watching/reading/lurking and greatly appreciate your recaps. You catch everything and write so well too.
Last night's fast and furious happenings needed your touch! I too thought of Mysterious Tufan as the possible brother, based on his coloring, phone call after his eavesdrop, and his shifting loyalties to Emir.
Could be wrong here, but I thought the photo the Nursen [the witness lady] was looking at was her own son, because didn't Zehir say something about Galip threatening her son to keep her quiet? Interesting that she started to talk after Nihan softened her up, Kemal's charm didn't work so well on her.
Valuable Zehir, it was Kemal's lucky day when he wandered into the tough nabe and found Zehir. Zehir told Kemal he has Nursen under 24-hour protection with his guys so that "Karen won't be repeated."
Zeynep's satisfied smirk to Vildan over Ozan's shoulder. It's funny when Zeynep calls Vildan and Onder "mama" and "papa."
Leyla and Asu, Asu is nothing if not persistent! and manipulative. and pitiful. Kemal told her uncle a while back that he'd take care of her for the rest of his life. Sounds like enough to me.
AnonFri, I too have wondered how Leyla and Kemal know each other. Leyla doesn't seem to be a friend of Kemal's family. Fehime didn't know Leyla is Nihan's aunt. I remember when Kemal first went to Leyla's house after he met Nihan and don't remember their relationship being explained. Anyway, Leyla told Asu straight up she knows Kemal better than anyone, and he and Nihan are fated to be together. It's a question of love!
Leyla does seem to be blossoming outside her house.
So, on the other Caray pages people are lamenting the loss of the traditional galan. Yet we are enjoying an excellent galan here, such a pretty man as Nina says and so noble, faithful to Nihan since he met her. Asu, eat your heart out!
AnonFri, really appreciate your efforts in keeping things going here. Kudos to you. I'm sure you have a wider audience than those posting. You seem to be able to knock these things out. I saw you'll be recapping over on Cuna de Lobos, have fun over there!!

Kemal receives a call from Leyla. She tells him she overheard Tufan say that Emir must never find out that he actually hates him. Kemal was not shocked. He remembered seeing Tufan by the main office the day before. Kemal calls Nihan to ask for a favor.
Emir is visiting his mother and angrily tells the nurse to get out. He tells his mother that they will have the conversation of their lifetime. He reproaches her for putting him in such embarrassment: Kemal’s discovery that he has a brother. Mujan was unresponsive but did seem to stare back at him. He takes her mask off and sees her suffocating. He demands to know who is the father of his lost brother. With no verbal response, he aggressively put the mask back on and then drops it on the floor. “Did you bring into this world another one of my enemies?” Nihan comes and tries to stop him from killing his mother. They begin to struggle and he tells her he will never let her do to him what his mother did to Galip. When he leaves, Nihan rushes to give Mujan the oxygen back. She promises her that she will try to find the missing brother before Emir does.
Kemal and Zehir are with Mujan’s witness of the attempted murder. They promise to protect her. Zehir realizes they have another task at hand now.
Emir is driving but on his phone. He’s investigating his mother’s last vacation. He wants to find the missing child.
Efsame is going towards Vildan’s room but Zeynep stops her. She tries to get some gossip out of her again, this time regarding Onder leaving the house. Zeynep decides she will choose what will be for dinner. She chooses both a salad and fish meal, to try and appease everyone. The maid asks how she wants them done. Zeynep asks if she must do everything herself? Vildan comes and asks Efsame what is happening. “Didn’t I tell you not to pay attention to the little people here?” Zeynep starts to protest but Vildan shuts her up. Vildan promises Zeynep that she will watch her like a hawk and leave her homeless as soon as she has the chance. She promises Osan will discover the truth. Zeynep looks bothered but not much worried.
Galip is meeting with Hakim, complaining about Kemal. He demands that he remove Kemal from the project. Hakim tells him he won’t do it, and warns him that Kemal is the one who will inherit his business in the end, so Galip will actually be his subordinate. Galip calls his bluff, then tells him he sees where Kemal gets his arrogance from.
Tariq is arguing with Banu. She tries to tell him she didn’t want to do it but he won’t accept that answer. He’s disappointed that she’s just as all the other women, by stabbing him in the back. When she’s about to leave Tariq saves her from getting hit. He acknowledges that he cares about her and she tries to convince him that she’s innocent. Tariq doesn’t believe her and says that what she did to him caused the fallout with his brother.

Hussein gives Tariq his old white barbers uniform. He asks him to come back to work, to return to his world and let go of the riches he’s trying to achieve. He doesn’t belong to that other world. He tells Tariq that as his firstborn, he has much respect and he needs him because he will depend on him as time goes by. Tariq takes the white uniform and hangs it. He apologizes to his father and promises he will always be there for him, but he will not let go of his chosen path. He wishes him a good day and exits.
Nihan is painting, but remembering her kidnapping and the moment when Tanner told her that Ozan is innocent. She immediately dials someone (probably Kemal?), but thinks back to when Kemal told her once “every time we are together, we end up further away from reality.” She calls Zehir instead, requesting his help but she doesn’t want Kemal to get involved. Zehir accepts but puts her on speaker, and Kemal is listening. She tells him they must find Tanner. Will he help? Kemal gives Zehir authorization to do so. But he wants to know why keep this a secret from the boss? She tells him the same line Kemal told her in the flashback.
Once he hangs up, Zehir wants to know why Nihan and Kemal are so weird. “It’s just the way things are” Kemal responds. Then Kemal gets a call from the secretary. Hakim scheduled an important board meeting today. Kemal excuses himself to go to work.
Leyla visits Onder at his office. She comes to give a warning: she can’t believe what happened and tells him she will not be the counselor in his marriage with Vildan. She wants both of them to stop contacting her and finally leave her alone, but tells him to live his life and listen to his heart. Onder watches her leave.
Nihan goes home and asks for Emir. She’s looking for something in particular and goes to check the bathroom.
Ozan is playing a video game and asks Zeynep to join. She says it’s boring and notices from her window that Emir is coming into the house. Zeynep excuses herself and walks out from the room.
Emir finds Nihan exit his bathroom and he orders her to leave. She warns him about the way he’s treating her. “What, you’re going to tell Kemal?” She gives him a mocking face. They’re arguing and Zeynep is listening but hides on the side. Nihan tells Emir she’s happy to see him like this, because it shows he’s not a robot. She leaves and Zeynep uses he opportunity to knock on Emir’s door. He thinks it’s Nihan and tells her to go away. Zeynep enters and asks “what if I’m not Nihan?” She asks him if he’s arguing with his wife, adding that she knows he basically kicked Nihan out of the home. He tells her she will run the same luck. Zeynep begins to play the role of understanding mistress. She tells him that she’s on his side, and that sometimes he’s like a hurricane, a lonely man. He corrects her: he’s the solitary man. She tries to cajole him with her words but he tells her to leave too. She accepts this, but tells him that she will always come whenever he wants her to. She exits while facing him, but Emir is left thinking.
Nihan messaged Kemal: she found what he was looking for. She will get to him later at night.

Hakim is telling the board he’s leaving Asu with 50% of his company and Kemal with the other 50%. He asks if anyone has an objection. Kemal objects and Hakim begins to question him. He tells him that the entire board agrees with his decision. One of the members claims that they’ve been waiting for Asu and Kemal to join the board. Hakim comments he always knew the board has been waiting to replace him and asks Kemal to accept. Kemal thanks Hakim, and promises he will do everything possible to not fail everyone. Hakim announces he is ready to get the lawyers to start the process. The meeting ends and Asu tells Kemal that she didn’t know her uncle was going to give him half of everything. Kemal tells her he didn’t want this responsibility. She goes for the kill again and tells him that her uncle wants them to get married too. Kemal offers his friendship to her again but she tells him they can get married and he will love her one day just as much as she loves him. She wants him to warm up to the idea. He tells her that day won’t come. She’s left biting her lip.
Nihan is still thinking about Tanner and the missing evidence. She realizes it must be in Karen’s home. She calls Zehir and tells him she knows where to start. Emir tells her she’s pretty. She tells him she’s not just a pastime. She’s ready to slap him but he holds her elbow. Ozan comes in with the snacks. Emir leaves them be and Ozan asks what’s happened in the movie so far. Zeynep answers him and gives a fake smile. He continues to watch the movie and she is visibly frustrated.

There was another mention of the witness lady having a son. But I agree that Tufan makes more sense as Emir's brother. I think we will find out soon, this is moving at a lightning pace.
Can Emir's mother communicate? Wouldn't that be something.
When Taner told kidnapped Nihan that her brother was innocent, he also said that an audio exists that proves it and only he [Taner] knows where it is. That may have been what Nihan was rummaging around for in Emir's room last night. She put her thinking cap on and figured out that it must be in Karen's house, so called Zehir. [Is Taner dead? I've lost track of him. And wasn't someone blackmailing Emir? maybe this tape was the back-up to the blackmail]
I like that Nihan seems stronger and more of a fighter, not just sitting on the sidelines for Kemal to figure it all out.
I loved when Asu told Kemal he'd grow to love her like she loves him and he said flat out "that's never happening!"
Ozan's childish video games and animated movies illustrate his character. There are many good details in this TN.

Yes! I noticed that Ozan was watching something that looked like Garfield to me. He really milks his sickness to not do anything. That family literally depends on Emir’s wealth. Nihan doesn’t work either right? I’ve seen her do charity work and I see her in her workshop but I don’t think I’ve seen her work exactly.

I completely forgot about the audio! I suppose Nihan also assumes Emir got ahold of Tanner, then. It’s so sad that the one person who should be concerned about finding out the truth (Ozan) just sits in bed all day without guilt.
I got uncomfortable watching Zeynep be willing to cheat on Ozan with Emir. She has no shame or self respect. I suppose she will end up the mistress soon.
I have no idea why Univision isn’t giving previews or announcing the season one ending. But they generally are lazy about the 7pm slot I’ve noticed.
I definitely won’t be able to see tonight’s episode cause of work (or maybe the last third of it), but hopefully I’ll be able to watch tomorrow night’s episode.

Yes! I noticed that Ozan was watching something that looked like Garfield to me. He really milks his sickness to not do anything. That family literally depends on Emir’s wealth. Nihan doesn’t work either right? I’ve seen her do charity work and I see her in her workshop but I don’t think I’ve seen her work exactly.

Efsame asks if Emir is still in his room. The other lady described him as a ghost and that he didn’t even ask for Nihan. Zeynep overhears and is smugly satisfied. Meanwhile Ozan can’t find her.
Emir is in his room pouring a drink, thinking about Kemal’s threats. Zeynep knocks on the door but he didn’t want to see anyone. She walks in anyway and locks the door, showing off her blue crop shirt outfit. She tells him he can’t imagine how much she hates him because her heart hurts so much when he’s sad. She’s worried about him and that’s why she hates him. She starts to touch him and says if she could, she would rip his heart out. No one in this household cares about what he feels. Emir stands and they face each other. He calls her an idiot, and she agrees. She’d fall for him all over again. She’s his prisoner. He tells her she learned nothing. She asks to be taught again. He undresses her.
Ozan asks for Zeynep in the kitchen. He’s in the living room when Nihan arrives. She asks where his wife is too. Maybe she went for a walk? Nihan sees Efsame and asks if Emir is in his room. She tells him he’s there and doesn’t want to be interrupted. Nihan goes in that direction anyway.

Kemal is waiting for Nihan at the well. She arrives and he tells her to listen. “This is what we always forget: we always listen to our voices and let this silence asphyxiate is.” She tells him he’s scaring her, did she do something wrong? He says tomorrow he will find something and that once he does, he won’t be able to listen to her anymore. If they find the proof they can’t keep quiet about it, because he feels he’s changing and it’s scary to him, there’s a darkness coming over him. He’s trying to fight that feeling off and tells her that she’s the only thing giving him hope at this time. He starts to walk away and she goes after him, telling him she’s scared. He tells her she should be, as he is. If tomorrow he finds what they are waiting for, he won’t listen to Nihan’s fears about her family, her brother or Emir because he won’t care anymore. She will end up with Kemal forever. She manages to give a weak smile and says she will be at his side. He continues to walk away.
Tufan is switching lab vials filed under the name Kozcouglu. He gets in his car and tells his superior: “the mission is complete: I changed the blood samples with yours.”
The next day Kemal is driving and receives a phone call from the lab. They tell him the results came back negative. So Kemal acknowledges that Tufan didn’t lie to him. He was so distracted and almost hit Nihan’s car as she drove out of her driveway.
Emir is still sulking around in his room when gets an alien phone call where the lab tells him that he and Tufan are brothers.
Kemal opens the locker and finds a usb drive. She takes out her laptop and they try to access it. They see the surveillance footage of Linda’s fateful night. They see two blonde girls onscreen where one hands over an object to the other. Nihan and Kemal are shocked. They watch Ozan come out of the room moments later asking for help and Emir enters the room. The girl that handed over the item then walks past the camera. Kemal tells Nihan that it was all Emir’s game and he trapped her with it.
Nihan takes the footage for Emir to see. He sits down to watch and she stands behind him, her red jacket standing out. They watch Karen give a gun to the other one just before Ozan came out yelling for help. Emir looks aggravated and stops watching, stands up to Nihan. She tells him her brother is innocent, and she’s ending this marriage.
Emir tells her she can’t. Nihan is confident that she can, but he still tells her that she can’t. He says it’s only her point of view. He’s hurt that she’s always trying to leave him. He guarantees her that above everything she won’t be leaving. She holds the flash drive up as her weapon. He tells her that she’s been harboring Ozan all this time, who’s a criminal. Nihan’s smile starts to fade but she tells him that the video shows Karen gave Linda a gun. Emir tries to entertain Nihan’s theory. He tells her he wasn’t the one who armed Linda, it was Karen. All he did was give her brother a fun night but that ended bad. He tries to convince her that Ozan obviously killed Linda. Nihan is slowly believing it but continues to put out her theory. She notices that Emir is clearly bothered by that video. He tells her calmly that that video will only end up prejudicing her brother. He tells her not to go to the precinct because they will only end up taking Ozan. She tells Emir that he solves his problems by threatening people and she maintains that Ozan is innocent. She is determined to leave him.
Emir follows Nihan out after she gave Efsame orders to pack her things. He tells the maid not to listen to his wife. He grabs Nihan and she says he should worry about getting out of the country because the police will come for him. “You’re done already,” she tells him, adding that she’s already paid five years of her life to him. He won’t be holding her back anymore. She leaves.

Emir calls Galip. He tells him Nihan has left with Kemal. Galip gets up from his chair confused. Emir lets him know that Kemal and Nihan found video surveillance from the night of the murder. Emir asks his father if he’s the one blackmailing him. Galip tells him he would never do that to his son. Emir doesn’t believe him. He demands to get the full video surveillance and the gun that has Ozan’s prints. Galip stops to ask “Are you saying Ozan killed her?” Emir confirms that Ozan killed Linda, but he lacks any proof because the extortioner has it all.
Moments later, Emir exits the home and gets into his car. He drives past the Sezin’s red gates.
Flashback from five years ago:
Emir is on a phone call where someone is asking for the firearm and he looks for it under the fireplace. He gets frustrated because he realizes that the extortioner has it. He demands to know how much money he wants for the gun. But the extortioner says that he will give back the evidence little by little, that he now has Emir Kozcouglu in his hands. He ends with “I will now put down the rules of the game. Ozan Sezin is not guilty.”
In the present, Emir gets out of his car to use a pay phone. He anonymously reports a missing person: Linda Watson. He reports that Ozan Sezin was the last person to see her. The event occurred on 10/15/10.
Nihan asks Kemal why Emir is so confident about his lies. He tells her he wants her to feel safe and that they will resolve everything, but she mentions that Emir has too many people working for him. Kemal says he cannot buy every person out there. “If Ozan would hand himself over to the police, everything would go easier and they will investigate Emir for conspiracy” Kemal tells her, as they get ready to go to the precinct.
Emir is at the seaside with Galip, who wants to know exactly what is happening with Nihan. Emir tells him that Nihan has the partial video surveillance footage that the extortioner had sent him, the one that Galip had taken from him sometime before. He also mentions that Tufan is his brother, and suspects him to be the extortioner.

Anon, so far Univision hasn’t indicated that there will be a break between the two seasons so we’re assuming it’s going to continue playing through. Unless the channel slices and dices this, we're still not quite halfway to the ending.
I still don’t understand Zeynep’s plan unless it’s to make Emir choose her over Nihan. She’s delusional.

I don't get Zeynep's plan either. Unless she truly wants Emir and realizes Nihan will eventually end up with Kemal. AnonFri, your suspicions were correct, Emir doesn't seem all that interested but Zeynep's catching him at a downtime, I guess the two of them will continue to carrying on in the house.
