returning from meeting his son, Santi is upset at how things are, they are just hiding, Zoraya steps in to calm things, that's what hand wants, to divide us, Emilia steps in with Santi's right, we need to take action, Rogelio shows, yep, they'll do it through him.

Cg gets the boys home, lots of questions, Cg will tell all, later.

xy5 crazed Mari moves into action, gun in hand, Moncho chants "kill him", Santos takes out Mari, Hand grabs his gun, while Moncho is up with his and Mari recovers, is it a stand off, nope Santos is back up and crashes into Mari and Moncho, Hand fires, hitting some sort of panel, and it's back to your seats for everyone, as the plane dives in for an emergency landing.

the plane is back on the ground, Santos and Sasha check on the captain, Hand recovers his gun and it's curtains for Mari, or a champagne bottle to the back of his head, no one hurts Moncho's cutie, who's had a quick trip and passed out in her seat, Moncho gets her up and they make a run for it.

Cg spills to Sebas, your sister is in a cartel, your dad has been in prison for 2 years for a crime of passion, killing his boyfriend, but now he is a fugitive trying to clear his name, oh, and why didn't you tell me, Sebas asks, I wanted to protect you, Cg answers, Sebas isn't happy.

Calvo is off to deliver his son dead, Diabla, smoking a non-electric cigarette, says she will be keeping an eye on him.

it's time for Cuina to settle a few things, she wants loyal lap dogs, Titi is no ones pet, Cardonita begs to let him be one, Cuina is game, his first job is to shoot Titi, Pilar is not liking this (but Cuina did say she wouldn't touch him) now I missed this but did he shoot? anyway Titi lives.

the plane is down, for at least the night, Hand is nervous, he has many enemies here.

Moncho has taken Mari to a safe place, complete with a Jesus malverde shrine, so how did you come up with that plan he asks, ha!, it was the xy5, they toast.

CG is off to work, gives the guys money, and will get them a driver.

Sal has rushed to Hilda, they hug and make up.

Calvo arrives at Ivan/Nat's room, gun drawn for Ivan who opens the door, Nat is quick to shoot, knocking him down, they grab their stuff and run, while lurking Diabla moves off.

Marcela is taking care of Leticia, wants to hear the story of her lost daughter.

Ivan is shaken, but Nat assures him she wouldn't kill his dad in front of him, he's alive, in deed he is as Diabla scoops him up, proud of her loyal dog, tells him to get in the car.

Cg's team has copies of the underground fights, and swing into action.

Diabla tells Calvo the girl his son is with is a pro, calls Hand, who gives her the news, Mari betrayed us, he needs some stuff and gives her his location.

Calvo corners Al, tells him all he said was true, he is Diabla's slave, he's warning Al to be ready.

Cg's team are gathering intel on the fights and get the ok to take them down.

Hand is after Moncho (hmm, Moncho is from Mexico and hired Santos to work with Hand) so Santos spills on Moncho, he has a lot of enemies here because of the way he treated the locals but there is this guy, Lightening Rod, and blah, blah, a guy Carmelo Villa ??, (I didn't really get all this)

ok, is a new Cartel being born, Titi, Cardonita, Cuina and Pilar, they toast Moron, and Titi gets on his horse telling them all how it will be, Cuina shuts him down, she sets the pace, will the lab be here, or Colombia, they are going to Colombia, because once again, Titi has the job of killing Cg.

Valeria sneaks in on Al, batting her eyelashes, talking trust, Al spills on what Calvo said (no, no, no) and snuggles close talking of her love for him, kissing, touching (when was the last time Al was with a woman, his clothes on night with Cata) and the sexual tension rise, but wait, Val shuts him down, not now, not with Diabla forcing me to be with Alf, not till you feel for me like I do for you.

Catagrande = worst mother ever. Total selfishness makes her drag Sebas back into the Colombia mess. She didn’t tell him the truth about Mari & Santi because she wanted to protected him? HA! She brought him right back into the lion’s den! Sister Mari will have to protect her brother from Black Hand.

This whole Diabla/Calvo/Ivan/Natalia thing continues to confuse me. How did Diabla not make the connection, Calvo’s son = Ivan Calvo = DEA informant, who ran off with Natalia? She must have heard Ivan mention Natalia’s name. Did she have a plan?

Santos said: Moncho & family have few friends but they have someone they trust a lot—a Colombian named Lightning Rod. He’s a low level trafficker that did business with Moncho’s family and Carmelo Villa. Villa was Moncho’s godfather. (I am surprised if Hand did not know this. I thought Hand knew everything about everyone.) Moncho said to Mari on the plane, “you don’t know why I am here.” Maybe he is here to get revenge for Villa in addition to the drugs?

Maybe Mari will finally grow into her own. Can she cope without her pink bottle? She’s got to get to Titica before Hand does. Hopefully Titi can rescue his daughter (maybe hand her off to CataG), right now he’s the lesser of two evils.

I’m wondering if Cuina is one of Diabla’s contacts in Mexico.

How could Albeiro give Valeria the time of day let alone trust her! IIRC, he was one of the few people that “sensed” something when they met and shook hands. I’ll start calling him Bobeiro now.

and who was that other Mexican narco that Titi didn't kill but Diabla did after he got a new face?

Cuina is one hot potato, doubt she could make it through the day without killing something.

I didn't make the connection Hand would go after Titica, but then I figured she and Nanita would have silver guns of their own by now.

and why is Vane so hopeful they will rescue Jota, because then they would toss Nanita.

El Final del Paraíso

Diabla points a gun to a sleeping Calvo’s head. “You’re a traitor and I don’t like traitors”, she says. He wakes and says, “then kill me. If I turn up dead, something will be delivered to Catalina Santana’s office. Something that reveals the truth about Valeria Montes.” He makes a move for her gun but she kicks and gets the best of him. He threatens to tell Albeiro, she threatens his son. She knocks him out, calls Barbas to the house and rips her clothes.

It’s two days before the election, Lucrecia and Berrio meet. Everything is ready for the final campaign stop in Pereira. Lu hasn’t been able to find anything new on Valeria. She’s a ghost but Lu has a plan.

Diabla screams for Albeiro. What happened? Calvo tried to rape her and she had to defend herself. Al wants to call an ambulance, but wait—if they call, the police will come, ask questions. Not good. Yesica will kill them. Diabla manages a call Barbas and gives directions on how to handle the situation.

Leticia’s husband (don’t remember his name) has arrived at Hilda’s, he’s grateful. Sal says you should have told me about your daughter, I would have helped. People who work with me are family. Marcela thinks this is an interesting case. Sal gets a call and has to leave.

Barbas shows and pulls a gun on Albeiro and Diabla. He pretends to call Diabla. They carry Calvo out to the car and they all leave for the hospital.

Stranded Hand says contact the hacker. He wants Lightning’s number to see if Moncho was in contact. He wants Sebas’ number, too, because Alex is in danger. Sasha the Russian is listening in.

Sebas and Alex are getting drunk on aguardiente. Another young guy approaches. I have a better party for you—acid. They resist, until their booze runs out. Here, put this on your tongue…Salud! A little while later, they are tripping balls and hugging trees. A cop approaches, he wants to call their parents. They take off running.

Catagrande has an idea to start a foundation that she will call, The Without Breasts There is a Paradise Foundation! (I tried not to laugh at this name) Vane and Liseth think it’s a great idea! We can prevent girls from falling into prostitution, crime, drugs. We can serve as real life examples and inspiration. Cata wants to bring Lucrecia and Zoraya in as well.

Cuina kind of apologizes to Titi about her loyalty test. She was impressed. They are socios but Pilar will be off limits to him. They get ready to leave for Colombia. Cuina is taking the dog. She gets on Titi about CataG. He reminds her he’s dead to Cata, six feet under, it’s over. Cuina says you never know when a ghost can appear. Pilar is staring hard at Titi.

El Final del Paraíso

Jo shows back at the gas station dirty and distraught. She tells the attendant the police tried to rape her. He will help her. He hides her, gives her something to eat, tells the police he hasn’t seen her. He offers to give her a ride back to the city.

Outside the hospital, Diaba lures a security guard away from the entrance while Barbas and Al ditch Calvo there. Al takes Calvo’s phone before they leave. Calvo is found and taken into the hospital. Calvo is in critical condition with head trauma. They want to contact family, but he has no ID.

Sebas and Alex are home and coming down. A hooded man enters and walks towards them.

Mateo and Granados talk. Mateo is worried about Jo’s next moves. She won’t quit. Granados gets a call—Jo’s gotten away. Granados calls to warn Hilda but everyone’s phone has died. Granados will pay a visit, Mateo will come along.

Hilda and Marcela talk about Leticia’s daughter; how weird another woman has her face.
CataG, Vane and Liseth arrive and talk about the foundation. Women helping women. A woman can be successful and powerful with whatever she has.

Albeiro is worried about Calvo. Barbas will be in charge of Al while Calvo is in the hospital. Meanwhile, Ivan is worried about his dad. Ivan sends a text to Calvo’s phone and Al sees it. When he arrives back at Diabla’s, Al calls Ivan, you don’t know me but your dad is at Central Hospital.

Lucrecia reminds Berrio to make a phone call to Valeria. Hi honey, I’ll be in Pereira tomorrow. I have something important to tell you in person.

Diabla orders Barbas to kill Calvo.

Mari is anxious, saying, we have to leave, my daughter and brother are in danger because of me. Moncho says don’t worry, we’ll find a solution. Lightning Rod enters.

Al wants to put a condition on his next fight.

Ivan is really worried. He confides in Natalia, he’s my only family. I spent years hating him. Natalia is reassuring. Ivan doesn’t know how this will all end, but he has something he wants to tell her. He’s falling in love with her. He moves in for a little kiss, but she’s not very responsive. He says we probably look funny—a DEA agent and son of a hitman. She says no, this is different, you want to make a difference.

Back at Hilda’s there’s music outside. It’s Sal with mariachis and flowers for his love.

The hacker has found Sebas’ phone. Hand will be able to listen in on all incoming and outgoing calls. Sasha shows up with drinks to celebrate. Hand orders Sasha to ask the pilot when are we taking off. He will put Mari and Moncho on the back burner. The most important thing is getting Alex back. Santos questions going back to Colombia when they barely escaped. Hand says you worry about making XY5 and I’ll take care of the rest. Understood? And we’re out.

Señor7 Episodes 5, 6, 7 Part 1

Casillas Crew breaks into Dylan’s place. He escapes and heads over to Castillo’s office. Castillo says if you want protection, work with us. Dylan says he doesn’t need protection. He just wants money.

Joaquin’s wife, Violeta, arrives in Mexico. He fills her in saying, there’s no way out of this. They have dinner at Pio’s and Evelina’s. Ha, ha, it’s Chinese takeout! Violeta goes to the bathroom, Pio follows because he caught her signals and they make out. Meanwhile Joaquin unsuccessfully hits on Evelina.

Rutila wants a DNA test for Angela. She doesn’t trust Colombian women, ha, ha.

Amado wants to go public with Aurelio’s death. So Greñas searches for Carla Uzcategui. She’s with the caravan. Skinny goes to get her.

Carla secretly films Fidencio meeting with Valdes and sends a pic to Castillo. Castillo identifies Fidencio having ties to the dictatorship in Venezuela. He doesn’t mention Valdes but Carla knows who Valdes is.

Irene, daughter of Athina and Nikos stumbles in, drunk, and makes a bad first impression on Diana.

Athina tells Amado about her troubles. She doesn’t like Nikos working with Volpi. Then Amado tells her he’s here to do business with him.

Jaime calls Pio he apologizes for earlier and is eager to work together. Jaime wants to run for president.

Berenice’s mom, Esther, announces she will put out a warrant for Diana’s arrest and she will back Jaime for president. Berenice worries about her mother’s safety and tells Jaime she doesn’t like what’s happening.

Dylan goes to a club where he knows the owner. (I don’t know the club owner’s name but he’s played by Manuel Landeta.) Dylan can pay off his debt and he wants to buy half of the club. Club owner gives Dylan coke laced with fentanyl. It’s the drug of the future but be careful. It can send you to hell.

Castillo and Navarro visit Colon. They want to find Corina. She’s a key to taking down the Casillases. He won’t cooperate. Colon texts Corina.

Corina is stalking Ojeda. Ojeda wants to go to Europe to get Amado, taking Dalila with him.

Nikos tells Amado he owes a 2 million debt to Volpi. The final payment is putting Amado in touch with Volpi. Amado warns Nikos to leave SIL Andreas out of the business. He also says Athina is wise to what’s going on.

Señor7 Episodes 5, 6, 7 Part 2

Athina, Diana and Irene go shopping. Volpi’s guys are following but the women evade them.

Corina calls Amado to say Ojeda is on his trail. She wants to eliminate him. He wants Isma for backup, she hangs up. Amado calls Isma and tips him on Corina. Isma shows up and stops Corina from killing Ojeda while he’s raping Dalila.

Carla confronts Valdes, cameras rolling. He claims fake news! He’s pissed there is footage of him and sends Fidencio to take care of Carla and the footage.

Amado and Nikos meet with Volpi. Amado wants in on Europe and Volpi in on Mexico. When Amado finds out Volpi’s pushing fentanyl, he wants no part and goes to leave. Amado is forced at gunpoint to stay but there is no way Amado is pushing fentanyl and leaves. (I guess all other drugs are ok.)

There’s history between Amado and Volpi. Volpi had something to do with a failed mission and the death of an agent in an explosion of a yacht with 10 million in diamonds. The truth is Nikos was responsible for the explosion.

Fidencio breaks into Carla’s room, wants her computer. He shoots her in the leg. That’s when Skinny enters and shoots Fidencio. They take Carla to the Casillases. Fidencio makes it back to Valdes.

Isturiz and Leo compete for Angela’s attentions.

Amado and Athina will go after the sunken treasure and keep it a secret.

Casillas family and friends all dressed in black, arrive in Mexico. Alba wants to bury Aurelio next to Chacorta. Isma says no, he will be buried in the desert.

Carla wants to know why she’s there and where’s Aurelio. Tons of flowers are brought in to the room followed by the coffin, placed on the dining room table. Aurelio Casillas is dead and you are going to tell the world. Alba is furious with these plans. It’s her right to bury her son her way. Isma stands his ground with Alba.

Ambar meets with Valdes. Chema & crew are spying.

Diana finds out about her mom’s plan. She wants to head back to Mexico. End episode 7.

I've been doing the daily recaps off the tv, watching once so I can get it posted early, but I miss stuff, thanks for keeping it all straight.

and wonderful detective work earlier catching Moncho saying to Mari, you don't know why I'm here, it finally clicked for me, if Villa was Moncho's godfather, las Babies killed him, (first show?) Diabla hooked up with Hand and gave Villa xy4, he took off running, off a cliff, Valeria took DEA credit for the kill.

Hilda with her ¿Dónde está CataM? reminds me of the novela ¿Dónde está Elisa? wow, Catherine Siachoque at her multi layered psycho best.

I think Leticia's husband is Luis.

"stranded hand", that was great.

Sasha is just too perfect, it's scaring me.

"viva Colombia", the boys say as they go for the drugs, I think that was papa in the hoody, at least Santi and Cata aren't starting a foundation on raising teenagers.

I think the docs have called the cops because of Calvos circumstances, maybe Barbas will be foiled, Calvo is kind of a unique narco hitman, I'm with Alberio, we don't want to loose him just yet.

they seem to be throwing out a lot of things lately, I missed how Mari picked up on Hand destroying her dad, and how the Hand knows the Alex/Sebas/Cg connection.

Thank you, deb. I think your recaps are great. I appreciate the way you capture everything with a snarky flair and post so quickly.

It’s all too easy to miss stuff since the writers are weaving this crazy web between characters and storylines. Halimacandy said it well, “these writers are really throwing it All in the Mix!!” Sometimes I’ll make notes as I watch, especially if I think I will recap. Sometimes I go back and review, but time for that is limited.

I hope Calvo sticks around a while longer, too. He is interesting as Diabla’s whipping boy/right hand. A bad guy who has been struggling with his good side for the past couple of seasons.

The Casillas Cartel is Born

QEPD Aurelio Casillas. For the record, I think he deserves a full farewell recap.

Alba stands before Aurelio’s casket and has one of her typical meltdowns: How hard it is to know his soul doesn’t stand a chance because he sold it long before he died! She tells Isma, I’ll say the same thing about you when you die! I’m destined to bury my children, grandchildren, daughter in laws until there’s no one left to bury me! (She’s right about that) She asks, how long will this go on? Ismael explodes, that’s enough, Grandma! We are doing this to survive in this messed up world.

In the next room, Carla says there were rumors about Aurelio. Javi says it’s time to end the rumors, people need to know the truth. Above all, they need to remember him for what he was—a legend. They have chosen Carla because she wrote that book and knew him well.

Ambar goes to Valdes. Chema breaks through the security and holds a gun to Valdes’ back. Let’s negotiate. Ambar wants her gold and to be respected business partners and Chema wants his help in killing Cabo. Valdes can continue his caravan stuff.

Volpi speaks with his son, Alessandro. He’s in Greece and will wait for further instructions from dad.

Ojeda and Dalila arrive in Sarajevo. He contacts Volpi, he has the info on Amado. Volpi is most interested in a particular woman. (Diana?) Ojeda says Volpi will lead them to Amado. Ojeda continues to have his way with Dalila. Disgusting pig that he is.

Diana is determined to return to Mexico to face her mom. Amado decides to go with her. She says no. They argue. She leaves him at the club. Athina and Irene take notice. Later, Diana packs to leave Amado in Greece saying they need to be apart. But before she goes, Volpi shows up and introduces himself to Diana.

Alba and Isma have a calmer discussion. Then Alba has a flashback: Aurelio told her he wants to be buried in the desert. Alba relents, things will be done the Casillas way.

Carla calls it the end of an era. She questions Corina, I see they treat you like the widow. Corina wants to know why Carla is hurting. She tries to play it off but Corina knows Carla was an Aurelio conquest. It will stay between them.

Carla asks Rutila if she wants to resurrect the legend of Aurelio Casillas. Isma says we don’t want another Malverde, we just want to end the rumors and kill the legend. Carla says impossible, Aurelio is an icon, people sing and dance to his corridos. What Carla doesn’t understand is that they need to kill the legend in order to give birth to the new cartel.

Little Isidro and Beto come in. Where’s dad? Isma says dad is flying. Alba says tell the truth! She tells the boys your grandfather, father is in that casket and she takes them over. This is what awaits you! He’s dead? They cry. Remember this moment when someone tells you narcos are badass. Isidro places a little toy plane on the casket before leaving. Isidro is an orphan now since Monica & Aurelio are both dead.

The doctor present at Aurelio’s death is asked to make a confirmation video.

The family makes its way to the desert. Everyone gets out of the cars and Aurelio’s casket is carried out. Rutila says how many times I wished you dead. Now I can’t even remember the last thing I said to you. A large caravan of SUVs & trucks arrives at the spot. Dozens and dozens of narcos get out. Make way, they form a line on either side as Aurelio passes through, family following.

Hoods come off of Carla and the priest. As the priest begins the service, Carla begins her report: this is a historic moment for Mexico. What you see here is unimaginable—the last goodbye of Aurelio Casillas. Here today are his family and members of different cartels.

Isma speaks, you left us too soon, dad. But you did it to save us and we’ll always be grateful. No one here will ever forget you. He drinks from a tequila bottle and then pours it over the casket. Isma shoots his gun into the air. The narcos follow suit.

Rutila cries, dad I spent my life talking back to you but today I don’t know what to tell you. That was our way of loving each other. I know you loved me even though you were a SOB. I won’t have anyone to fight with, I’ll miss you very much.

Alba yells, he’s dead! He’s dead! My son lived and died by the gun, like all of you. You helped drag this country into a miserable war. We are all responsible. Me too, because I gave birth to Chacorta and to you—El Senor de los Cielos! You got your wish and look where it led. War! Death! That’s why today in front of my son’s body and this circus I never approved, I beg you all to stop trafficking! Is this living? Answer me you miserable bastards! I had two sons and they were killed by this world. How many mothers went through the same? Pulque leads Alba back to the family.

The priest gives a final blessing, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and the casket is lowered. Flowers are thrown in. Guns blaze in a final salute.

Carla ends saying, undoubtedly this is a historic moment in this country. Aurelio Casillas is dead and thanks to these pictures everyone has witnessed the funeral of a legend. The legend has died, but a new cartel is born—the Casillas Cartel rises as the biggest and most powerful in the world. And we’re out.

Sounds like Esther is uncomfortable with Jaime (BPN 2.0) & Berenice (whom I fear Berenice will end up like Bizarro Gaviota, DEAD). Jaime is determined to get into Los Pinos so badly, big question is does he have El Capo whack Gomez Labrador ?
