Cuna de lobos, Capítulo 21 Wed. 11/20/19: A Twisty Kinky Tale with a Strong Dose of Disillusionment

We pick up the story with Leonora in her cell being counseled by her "Catalina bought" public defender Figueroa.  He explains how they can get her a more favorable sentence and her baby back in her custody even maybe at a minimum security prison with her confession to Miguel's murder. She wisely asks if Catalina and Alejandro can do something to thwart their efforts and the lawyer knowingly says that they cannot do anything "legally".  He explains the court will act  to protect the infant and that they will grant custody to whomever can assure its well-being the best. Leonora looks hopeful. He asks if they can accept the deal offered by the judge.  Leonora barely nods.

At Luis's place,  Alvaro sits quietly while José Carlos and Luis talk about what to do next to help Leonora. They discuss that  Alvaro's testimony would have the same weight as the security guard's so they need something else.  Luis is ready to tell them that Leonora was with him when Miguel died and that Alvaro had a meeting with Catalina at the building at that time.

Hearing that,  a very agitated Alvaro gets up and  tells them he wants to get out of there. Luis tries to convince him that the is much safer there with them. José Carlos wants him to help them to get Catalina arrested.  A fearful Alvaro has no plans on  testifying against her.  He has already seen what she is capable of and doesn't want to be her next victim. José Carlos offers to get him out of the country and set him up wherever afterwards but they need his testimony. Luis adds that if Catalina knows it was he who saw her, she will not stop until she finds him.  Alvaro  offers them the video.  Luis and José Carlos both recognize Catalina but admit that the video is very dark and she is hard to see. José Carlos already knows the judge won't accept it as evidence. Luis uploads the video to his computer to take it to a lab to try to improve its quality. José Carlos tells Alvaro how it is by threatening him. If Alvaro doesn't make a statement against Catalina, he will end up being her accomplice. José Carlos will do whatever it takes to get Leonora out of jail.  Luis gets a phone from Leonora and puts it on speaker. She is informing him that she has made a decision to plead guilty so she can have her baby with her.  José Carlos yells not to sign anything. Luis says they will get her out. Leonor hangs up. José Carlos wants to go running over to the jail to prevent Leonora from signing anything. Luis tries to calm him down so they can be more effective. They have proof with the video and a witness with Alvaro.

At Francisco's, Ambar is on a roll telling him that they cannot let Catalina get her own way again. She just got off the phone with Juan Carlos and has found out that Leonora is going to plead guilty to Miguel's death. Francisco looks shocked and puzzled by the news. She explains they are making false claims against her, taken her child and want her in prison. She asks Francisco if they are just not going to do anything to help her. Well, Ambar is going to do something.  An even more upset Francisco watches Ambar gets on her phone and  make a video  labeled as *urgent* to be distributed through her social network informing  everyone that an injustice is about to take place. She asks that they share the video with everyone they know. Francisco is in a state of shock as he listens to her  describe how Leonora Navarro, the wife of her nephew Alejandro Larios,  has been unjustly accused of  the  murder  of Miguel Terranova.  Leonora is innocent and is being framed. This is all being done by  Catalina Creel  who is a murderer. Ambar should know because she was Catalina's victim, too. She kidnapped her and wanted to kill her.

Evidently Ambar posts the video because Catalina is met by the press as she arrives at work.  Catalina doesn't know what is going on and has nothing to say.  Catalina logs into her computer to see  Ambar's video.  An upset Alejandro asks if Francisco knows what Ambar has done. He does and it is because she doesn't want to see an injustice done to Leonora. He asks Alejandro if he cannot see how is mother is manipulating him. She forced him to marry Leonora and have a child, hide his relationship with Miguel. She is capable of everything including using her own son. Alejandro doesn't feel like listening to Francisco and tells him if Leonora is innocent let his brother José Carlos prove it and in the  meantime he doesn't want to hear that his mother is some kind of monster because she would never do something like that to him.

Catalina meets with her lawyers who tell her that they are ready to deal with any complaints/lawsuits filed by Ambar. It is a very simple matter because Ambar has no proof. Catalina explains how Ambar has suffered from mental illness and has been hospitalized because of it.  She even tried to shoot Catalina in her own home in front of witnesses.  What else do they need? One lawyer says they could sue her for defamation but that might end up backfiring on them. Catalina doesn't care. She wants the brakes put on Ambar. The lawyer says they will keep her updated. She tells them that they had better.

José Carlos goes to visit Leonora at the jail. She does not want to see him. He screams that she cannot
plead guilty because she is innocent. He has evidence that can help her. Also at the jail, Figueroa is talking to Catalina telling her everything has been taken care of and that the judge has scheduled a special hearing for tomorrow as a favor to her. He will be in contact. He runs into José Carlos and they recognize each other. José tells him he has evidence that could help Leonora and he wants to be a part of her defense.

Catalina leaves her office and  the press is still waiting outside.  She tries to finesse the situation when asked questions about Ambar. Alejandro steps up to assist her saying that his aunt is mentally ill and was having problems with  her husband when she left. She never was kidnapped. That very day he was with his mother in Acapulco.  Catalina just beams as they leave together.

José Carlos explains to Figueroa that the evidence that the prosecutors found were planted at the crime scene. Furthermore, the only witness they had changed his statement. Leonora was set up. Figueroa wants to know who the murderer if not Leonora. José Carlos cannot say because it is part of the evidence that he has. Figueroa says that doesn't do it for him because he deals in facts. José Carlos adds that he also has a witness who saw the murderer  committing the crime and  who can be present at the hearing.  Figueroa starts to look interested.

Catalina calls Vega to see if he heard about Ambar's accusations.  Yes, he did because the interview is everywhere. She suggests that he not come near her home or office. She also wants Leonora sentenced ASAP and Alvaro found. She informs him that Alvaro has a video of the murder.  Vega has to sit down when he hears that one.  She explains that she just found out. José Carlos is even more efficient than he is. He managed to locate Alvaro and they have the video. They are going to turn it over as evidence. She wants Alvaro found.

José Carlos talks to Francisco at Luis's place about Leonora refusing to see him and the evidence they have to help her. José Carlos is not too sure about her public defender but thinks they can work together. Luis arrives. José Carlos asks if they were able to improve the quality of the video. Luis says it came out only a little better. All three of them view the video and an astonished Francisco recognizes Catalina. José Carlos is still concerned that the judge will not accept the video as it is. That is why they need Alvaro to testify.  Luis goes to get him but Alvaro is long gone.

Alvaro has a video chat with a friend at an internet café.  He needs his friend to buy him a bus ticket that will get him to the border. Alvaro has not ditched his phone.  He will meet his friend at the subway station near his home. They will meet in a half hour.

At Catalina's, Gélica is having a difficult time with baby Edgar who won't stop crying and fussing. She tells Alejandro all about it. The doctor says it is because he was taken from his mother at such a young age.Catalina arrives.  Gélica gives the crying baby to Alejandro to hold.  Catalina says they look so peaceful. He brings up the Ambar situation as being just the opposite. Catalina wonders what she wants. Crazy Ambar did try to kill her. Alejandro doesn't think that was ever really clear. If he is unsure,  why he came to her defense earlier asks Catalina.  He didn't do it for her. He did it so what Ambar said wouldn't help Leonora. He accuses her of setting  it all up. She really doesn't need one more accusation right now.  She asks why would have she. He says to get rid of both Miguel and Leonora.  She says when the judge sentences Leonora to jail for killing Miguel, then they will talk . . .  He doesn't understand why she cannot just tell him everything at once. He asks if she set this all up. She says no.

Alvaro is on the street with a duffel bag confirming the ticket purchase and meeting on the phone with his friend. Suddenly,  a guy grabs him and with the help of another, Alvaro is choked into unconsciousness and thrown into the trunk of a car. His duffel bag is left on the street. One guy calls Vega with the news of the abduction.  He in turn calls Catalina with the good news.

Catalina goes to some old building. When she walks in, Alvaro's clothes are strewn all over the floor and Vega has Alvaro is bound and gagged in a bath tub where he is trying to call for help.  Vega watches him with a smirk. Catalina sits on the  side of the tub with a smile to talk to him. She rips the duct tape off his mouth and he starts calling for help. They both try to shush! Alvaro.  Catalina informs him that nobody is going to hear him where they are. She wants to know about the video. He first doesn't know about it. Catalina calls him a liar because she knows that he gave it to José Carlos.  She reminds him that she told him to get out of town but he didn't do it. It is a pity because he could have had such a comfortable life. Vega takes out his gun and points it at Alvaro. Alvaro insists the video is on his cellphone. Catalina plays along and checks. As Vega keeps the gun pointed at Alvaro, Catalina gets out her little tool kit with tongs and garden shears she has brought for the occasion.  Even to Vega's horror, she proceeds to cut out Alvaro's tongue right there on the spot. He screams in pain. Vega looks like he cannot shoot Alvaro fast enough after the atrocity is committed. Catalina notices and calls him a coward. Vega is visibly shook.

Leonora and her lawyer meet with the judge for her sentencing hearing.  She admits to having killed Miguel accidentally in the middle of an argument.  She is about to sign her confession and plea deal when José Carlos bursts into the courtroom screaming it was Catalina who did it. He tells  her not to sign anything because he has some evidence that changes everything. He shows the judge the video of the murder and informs the judge that the public defender is not acting in the best interest of his client. He had knowledge of the evidence and never presented it. The judge informs  Figueroa that if that is true, he could be prosecuted criminally. He demands that they immediately file charges against Catalina Creel and proclaim the innocence of Leonora Navarro. Leonora is being comforted by Luis. The judge cancels the hearing and postpones any sentencing until all of the evidence can be evaluated. Leonora is overjoyed.

When José Carlos and Luis leave, Alejandro is there in a rage to greet them and to punch José Carlos in the face.  Luis separates them. Alejandro is upset that he betrayed him. José Carlos explains that Leonora is innocent.   When he adds that  Catalina killed Miguel,  Alejandro is enraged even more. Luis has to separate them again.  José Carlos shows him the video and explains she had to have paid someone to plant the evidence. Alejandro looking distraught and sad bolts out of there.

Lenora goes back to her jail cell and thinks back about José Carlos wanting to help her out and how she told him she didn't want him involved in her case because  he was a Larios. She never wanted to see him again.  She, also, remembers him screaming that he loved her.

Catalina's lawyers are telling her how hard it is going to be to keep her from getting arrested if a judge has already signed off on the warrant. In that case, it is too late for them to file a challenge.
Then there is the evidence that is so overwhelming. Catalina considers the video to be fake and she wants them to prove that. The lawyers are dismissed and Gélica arrives fawning all over a preoccupied Catalina.  Gélica has  her special tea to calm Catalina down. Gélica has been watching the news. What do they want to charge her with? Catalina says she knows they are coming for her. They are accusing her of killing Miguel and José Carlos is behind the whole thing.  She knows the police are coming for her. Her lawyers are useless. Gélica suggests that they both run away together. Catalina thinks it would just make matters worse. they are coming for her. Gélica thinks there must be something they can do. Catalina goes on talking about José Carlos being the first one in line who wants to see her behind bars and she thinks he is going to accomplish that. Catalina refuses to run away. She tells Gélica not to worry because she will never set foot in a jail. She takes out her gun. Gélica gets nervous as Catalina talks about not deserving to be in jail and tries to get her to put the gun down. She tells her to let it go. Catalina asks if it really bothers her that much. Gélica gazes at her and tells her she knows the answer to that question already. Gélica will do what ever she wants her to do; whatever she orders her to do except leave her alone. Catalina looks at Gélica with new interest. Later, a pensive Gélica sits alone playing with Catalina's gloves that she never threw away.

Alejandro comes home telling Catalina he was just back from the jail/courthouse. As Gélica eavesdrops,   Alejandro tells Catalina that he knows all about her killing Miguel. She blames it on a plot José Carlos and Leonora cooked up to cheat him out of his inheritance.  He doesn't believe her. He sees he as she really is. She killed the person that he loved the most.  She kills anyone who gets in her way.  He informs her that he saw the video. Alvaro recorded it all as she threw Miguel off the edge. Alejandro is staying around just to watch her be destroyed. He refuses to talk to her. She follows him to the door trying to restart the conversation.  When he opens the door, the police are there to arrest Catalina  Alejandro tells them to take her away as Gélica looks on.  José Carlos arrives with enough time to see her do the perp walk to the  police car and to tell her he told her he would be around to see her fall. Gélica goes running to Catalina and as they try to hold her back she says she was the one who killed Miguel.   Luis and Alejandro look exasperated with this turn of events.

José Carlos is surrounded by reporters as he arrives at the courthouse explaining he is there to proclaim the innocence of Leonora Navarro and to see the prosecution of Catalina Creel.  As he approaches the building,  he is met by Catalina, flanked by her lawyers, who is on her way out. She pauses to tell him that he won't win. She talks to the press about everything being in her lawyers' hands and that very soon she will be out of this mess.

Gélica is with a police official  making up her story as it goes long.  Miguel had always been a problem inAlejandro and Leonora's marriage.  José Carlos tries to talk her out of confessing and not getting a lawyer.  She doesn't care. She is ready to make her statement. The police official tells José Carlos to butt out. Catalina says that Miguel was always pursuing Alejandro. Catalina really suffered over this.

When José Carlos comes out,  Luis and Alejandro are there. Luis asks how  Gélica can confess when it is Catalina on the video.  José Carlos says she is protecting Catalina. She is buying her time.  Gélica goes on with her confession telling how Miguel got drunk at Alejandro's wedding and had to be forcibly removed. Catalina never said much but she knew how she felt. She was all broke up inside. The official concludes that is why she killed him.She goes on. She went to talk some sense to him but he got violent. She reacted and pushed him.  The official asks how Leonora's ring got there at the crime scene. Gélica has to make up a story and along the way manages to describe Leonora as having been an absolute nightmare, too, when she became part of the family. She admits to having taken the ring when Leonora left it at the house. Maybe it was because it was expensive. She was having a panic attack and it happened to be in her pocket. She left the ring next to Miguel. She is sorry for it all.

José Carlos explains to Luis that Gélica's confession is going to have to match the evidence. Luis asks if the video doesn't count for anything. José Carlos says it doesn't because it was too dark to see who the person was well enough. That is what Catalina's lawyers alleged and that is how she got off. Luis comments if only Alvaro were there to testify, Catalina would not be free.

Gélica is taken out to be processed.

José Carlos is met at home by Catalina who tells him he doesn't have to go.  She invites him to have supper with her like two good friends would. All José Carlos wants to know is what she promised Gélica to confess to the crime.  He reminds her that Gélica doesn't have any of the details so it won't be long before she contradicts herself. Catalina says her lawyers are there to advise her. He tells her she doesn't have time because they are looking for Alvaro to testify in person along with the video. She informs him that if the video were overwhelming evidence, she would be in jail herself. She knows how much he wants to see her in jail. He says if  she doesn't end up there for killing Miguel, then she will surely end up there for killing Diego or for all of the dirty Gothier business dealings. She is aware of all of that but also knows that he has not discovered a thing to get her on. She also warns him to stay out of her way because he knows what she is capable of. She is not going anywhere. He tells her to enjoy her last days in the house.

At the jail, Leonora is shocked to see Gélica arrive. She keeps asking what she is doing there and where Catalina is. There is no response. The guards tell them it is lights out and that is the end of this episode.

Thanks for an excellent recap Jarifa. I'm frankly getting a little tired of everything going Catalina's way but we still have four episodes.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good next novella after this one? When does Rubí start?

Hugo, you are so right about Catalina. Anyway, it looks like the lineup is going to end up being Ringo at 7 CST, La Rosa de Guadalupe replacing this and El dragón at 9. No Rubí, at least for now.

Jarifa, Thank you so much for that detailed recap.

Watching Catalina getting away with a!l the murders and dirty dealings is frustrating. If she doesn't get a huge anvil at the end , I will be very upset. Since she is such a control freak, maybe she will die by her own bloody hands.

Well, this was another jam-packed episode. I hadn’t seen a tongue separated from its owner since “American Perfekt” in the 80’s where Robert Forster played a serial killer. This was hard to watch with Catalina coming prepared but given Vega’s reaction, there might be hope for him having a conscious somewhere. We all could have told Alvaro to ditch the phone since JC and Luis had the video and get a burner but then they could not have put in that sickening scene. It was rather gratuitous violence. They didn’t need to gross us out.

Anyway, last night was full of memorable and unpleasant scenes from Gélica fawning all over Cata and indulging in self-sacrifice to prove her love to Leonora stuck in her Cata created hell cell.

The highlight of the night was Ámbar damning the torpedos and posting her incriminating video.

Cannot wait for tonight because it looks like Catalina is having problems maintaining her status quo let alone being able to take on new challenges to her “reign.” Who will do her in? Four more!

Jarifa thanks for covering this massacre. I only started watching this recently and wondered all along what happened to Cata's eye.

Last night I got an answer which works for me:
It must have simply jumped out and ran away rather than continue observing this shit.

Final answer.

Jarifa, I hung on every word, your recap was amazing. Period. Loved the title.

"Catalina just beams as they leave together" said everything, succinctly and perfectly.

You set the stage and depicted every scene, every word with precision, detail and heart. Your recap has made my day.

"The highlight of the night was Ámbar damning the torpedos and posting her incriminating video". Yes. To see this woman who was persecuted beyond reason have the courage, the dignity and the stamina to stand up and do the right thing was inspiring. A true hero.

"He says to get rid of both Miguel and Leonora". The dawn of Ale's realization, snuffed out by the foolish, besotted Gélica.

"Francisco looks shocked and puzzled by the news. All three of them view the video and an astonished Francisco recognizes Catalina". Francisco, a waste of space, sees the truth but still does nothing except stand by and watch his wife be led to the slaughter.

"Vega looks like he cannot shoot Alvaro fast enough after the atrocity is committed. Catalina notices and calls him a coward. Vega is visibly shook". I cannot believe Catalina's charms (which continue to elude me) are of any appeal to Vega after that scene.

While Leonora has a bit of a reprieve, Jose Carlos is now in the spotlight, and in full sight to be the next victim. I really hope that does not happen. Could the unemotional, quiet Luis be his savior or will he be the one to spirit Leonora away at the end.

4 episodes give far too long a time for the casualties to mount. Something has to stop Catalina's hate train.

Jarifa, my sincere thanks for another outstanding job. Gracias.

Diana

Gracias, Jarifa.

If the cops on our Law & Order saw this they would laugh. Gelica saying she left the ring near Miguel's body is a dead giveaway that she didn't do the crime. The video is also enough to prove the lie.

Here is hoping that there is a way to show the origin of the video. It's on Luis' computer and JC's cell phone so Catalina having possession of Alvaro's phone might just be an annoyance.

Can a cell phone's history be resurrected if the phone itself is destroyed? Because I can see that happening in tonight's episode.

Leonora is still traumatized despite the events in this episode. She needs time to think clearly about JC's actions to know that he has no interest in the inheritance. An inheritance that will become meaningless when the investigation into the diamond smuggling presents the evidence. Would Alejandro and JC be forced to surrender their personal bank balances over that?

Alejandro's eyes have been opened, but will he have any attack of conscience about what he's done to Leonora?

Be back later; working on recapping the samurai action from last night's El Dragon.

There is a precedent for Catalina's action in Amor Bravio where Leticia Calderone's villana did this to an illiterate underling so he could not rat her out.

Since Alvaro was not illiterate Catalina would have had to cut off his hands as well. It could be that Vega shot him to not only spare him(self) that agony but to make sure he was silenced.

I think his reaction to this is normal. It's one thing to find a victim at a crime scene but another to witness the crime.

Thanks Jarifa!

I applaud Ámbar for making that video. Despite what Catalina and Francisco have done to her, she has bounced back.

It was about time that Francisco acted like a father and give Alejandro a talking to. Alejandro was making the same mistakes Francisco did: letting himself be manipulated by Catalina. Glad he finally saw the video but course Catalina would once again get away with everything.

Catalina doesn’t care about anyone but herself and is probably happy that Gélica will take the fall for this. While Leonora should be released so she can get Edgar back, what does Gélica have to live for besides Catalina? She might not even wanna be released.

Alvaro knew what Catalina was capable of so why did he leave? Bummer that he met that terrible fate.

JC and Luis make a good team. I hope both survive this story.

Kirby, I can picture that eye running down the street cartoon style! LOL The story behind the patch is that José Carlos shot out Catalina’s eye with a toy arrow when he was a child. He is her stepson. She has never let him forget it.

Diana, glad that you enjoyed the recap. As for the phone, I would think that more is stored in the “cloud” than we expect or in the mega data of the video itself but I could be wrong as I am not very tech savvy. I guess I am especially tired of Francisco, or anyone who knows Cata, looking shocked at her deeds. He needs to get over it and DO something already. Yes! José Carlos is in “full sight to be the next victim”. If I were him, I would keep the door to my room locked or better yet move out.

Urban, here is hoping Alejandro has an attack of conscience when he comes to terms with his mother having played them all. It will be interesting to see if anyone ends up with anything of the inheritance at the end of it all. I wonder what Catalina’s will says. I cannot believe she does not have one of her own.

Urban the cell phone location and times are recorded and can be retrieved. Even if the phone's GPS is turned off they triangulate the nearby towers and get an accurate location even if the phone is not sending or receiving calls or texts. If a phone is powered on, it is constantly pinging the nearby towers to maintain a connection, say for instance, in case it gets an incoming call or text.

All text messages are recorded unless the sender goes to the trouble of jumping through a few hoops to delete them.

Steve: Yes she already said something to that effect last night. I hopeo that man bun can continue to protect him. He KNOWS how diabolical she is, he should be ready. Forewarned is forearmed.

Thanks Jarifa, give that boy another arrow.

Steve, good point about Vega making himself complicit in all of the criminal action.

TF, you sure are right about Alejandro following in his father’s footsteps allowing himself to be manipulated by Catalina. It seems that she pitted the boys against each other since the time they were kids. Both sons have a lot to overcome if they both make it.

"the door to my room locked or better yet move out. " Yeah like into a solid concrete bunker with enough food for a year. She reminds me of the original Terminator with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I think he is currently staying with Luis. However, I think all the cars that park on the Larios property have GPS and can be traced.

While call times and texts are recorded, but what about the video?

Fans of the Dragon, that recap was just posted. I had a buffering problem on the live stream and had to wait until the episode was posted for replay.

The Video stays strictly on the phone unless of course he texts it somewhere. Or hopefully makes copies of it and puts it up on the 'net. Then as with Chisca, it is 'in the wild' and may reproduce like cockroaches.

Jarifa--What a tale to tell. You recorded it almost word for word as if you had the script. This is one story that requires all that detail because every element is important.

THE RING: We should remember that the ring was placed on the floor near where Catalina upset the table and made it look as if a scuffle had taken place. It was never near Miguel's body. Gelica reported that she put it next to the body. I hope the (honest) officer takes note of that.

THE HAIR: The officer never brought up anything about the hair found in Miguel's hands. Analysis showed it matched Leonora's hair. I hope he takes note of that, too. How did the hair get into Miguel's hand if Gelica says it was an unpremeditated crime.

Urban, I, too remember the atrocity committed in Amor Bravio by Isadora (Leticia Calderon) to Leoncio. Her Karmageddon was her tongue was cut out as well and she went to prison.

Ah, yes. We called her Hissssadora because she was that cold-blooded.

When I saw those instruments in Catalina's hands I was sure she was going to castrat him. That would have seemed apt because of his stalling of Alejandro
It would also have ultimately deprived him of a sex life if she had sone the splenectomy as well. Oh, well...

RE: Amor Bravio

That’s correct. Isadora cut Leoncio’s tongue out then at the end he did the same to her as well as raped her and burned her hands with acid.

Interestingly, her "son" was played by Flavio Medina in that one.

Thanks for the recap Jarifa. Wow, this is something. I'm with all of those who ca't take Catalina getting away with everything and then gruesomely torturing Alvaro. And then Angie taking the fall for her. Like Susanlynn, I will be very vexed if Catalina is alive at the end of this tn. And yes Ámbar was the best part of the episode.

Thanks for your recap from yesterday UA!

Diana, I share your frustration with Francisco. He continues to act so helpless. It's so annoying.

I was at a debate watch party last night and missed this one. Menos mal! Cutting out Alvaro's tongue? Yuck!

Anita, I am always going to write a shorter recap but you never know which one of the details you are going to need later with this one. I liked your list to keep us focus.

Karen, I am hoping for a gigantic anvil for Catalina.

SpanProf, it was like watching a narconovela. She actually came with a “kit” so she had planned ahead.

Lurker here for many years. i watch all night time novelas besides taking care of my husband
a 100% disabled Veteran, first responder at Ground Zero with a multitude of serious health
issues. My sanity is watching novelas at night and reading caray, Caray in the mornings.

My question is, didn't Luis have an original birth cert. about Alejandro being Francisco's sons and that J.Carlos is the only legitimate heir. Isn't that prove enough? After Catalina's sins come to light she was the only one responsible for everything and not Carlos senior.

These novelas have a lot of violence, but at least I know they are make believe unlike the
real world today!

Gracias, Delma. We're pleased you enjoy our site.

No, Luis didn't have that information. There was a DNA test result in the hands of Josue Armenta, who did the investigation paid for by Ambar. The issue is that despite the test result Carlos was Alejandro's legal father because all the paperwork pointed to that.

I do not believe that Carlos was involved in any of the diamond smuggling; that was all Catalina, Diego, and Francisco. I think when that is all revealed there will be nothing left for either Alejandro or JC to inherit.

Delma--
Let me be the first to welcome your written entry into our community of Caray. We love it when a new voice appears. Hope you revisit soon.

Please tell your husband that collectively we appreciate all our military and first responder personnel for their services--but we hold those wounded more closely in our hearts. Let him know we send our greetings and our thanks.

As to your question--I don't think it was a birth certificate. I think it was the results of a DNA test. Regardless, Carlos is the father of record and Mexico goes by that. Jose Carlos can try to use it to contest the will, but it would probably have to go to Carlos' state of mind. Obvio, he considered both his sons, so something else will have to come forth. Even if Alejandro dies, Edgar would be next in line.

UA--You got to answer Delma first, I was still composing, but our answers were the same.

Delma, so glad you like caray and that you left a comment. Thank your husband for his service . First responders are real life heroes. Bless you both, and keep commenting , Delma. The folks here are lovely and welcoming.

Delma, so nice to see your post!

Heartfelt appreciation to your husband - I will just echo Anita's sentiments that were phrased so beautifully.

Happy you took the first step by posting today. Welcome to the Caray, Caray family.

Diana

Delma, welcome! Glad to see you here!
