El Dragón #26, 11/4/19: Two-Faced
Labels: dragon
The coffee cup Kenia retrieved let Flaco ID the chemist Jimena ran into in the lab when she went snooping. BTW. I have been in a world of secure facilities, and most of those 'Authorized Personnel Only' door signs are accompanied by Fort Knox style LOCKS.
BTW 'Fashion Show' has been a misnomer for ages, in addition to the clothing? the wearers are typically gaunt hideously undernourished twigs. (or crack hoes)
That VicTORY pulled it off is a further mystery. I find it hard to believe he owns a bank. Like, none of my neighbors own BANKS. Hardware stores, marinas, Kitchen and Bath showrooms, but a friggin bank? Aren't those usually stock companies? Anyway, that he pulled it off with the singer adds to the mystery. No mystery what happened next. It still smelled of a transaction though. Like the old 'Do it for a million, then would you do it for a dollar?' joke.
If you leave your underwear on are you still technically a virgin?
It is not fair. When women get caught, just turn on the waterworks, (Chisca, are your ears burning?). One of us fellas try that and we would be sent out for conversion therapy. When Migalicious finds out that Jimena has been pilfering the goods to supply Chisca's habit it is not going to be her butt that is banging the wall.
Was Migster in the episode last night?
In case anyone cares, when Flaco was sniffing around, we saw him looking through one of the cameras inside the chemical labs where they saw their main smart chemist later identified via coffee cup fingerprints.
In the past this would have been impossible without Jimena planting a hidden camera or something involving clandestine wiring. They are taking advantage of the fact that almost all cameras have gone wireless now. Think Ring doorbell ads. So now most of the security cameras are wireless and send their signals to the monitoring station by connecting onto the local wifi. And although the data has passwords and encrytion built in, it is still hackable by someone like Flaco which is what we are to assume he did. At least that is what it looked like happened.
This is actually very common lately, as some cameras are not even encrypted. There are internet sites which facilitate viewing cameras all over the world which are open and not locked down. Just search for IP Camera viewer.
As for fashion models looking like crack hoes, I agree. I get the definite feeling sometimes that fashion designers do this because they actually hate women.
I was so wiped that Cuna still needs some work. Check the site in about 90 minutes for that one.
I am still in awe at how dumb Mig is when it comes to his family. He fell for Chisca's pitiful act and everyone else just caved too.
When it comes to the business dealings, I really get distracted, but I caught enough to know that Mig wants to get into business with the new guy who is into the pharmaceutical business. Jim "having a feeling" about the chemist was one of many beanie moments for me, but evidently they found something on the guy to know that the company is up to much more than they want people to know...and that is Miguel's next venture which will end up with more carnage. What will the next torture instrument be? A scalpel?
Kirby, "That VicTORY pulled it off is a further mystery...It still smelled of a transaction though. Like the old 'Do it for a million, then would you do it for a dollar?'" I was rolling my eyes throughout those scenes. Not only does he own a bank, he arranged for a private concert in a matter of hours? ...or so it seems. Somethin' just ain't right.
Chisca and Jimena are both lost souls. As in real life, these folks cause problems in their own lives and for all those unfortunate eno ugh to be in their orbits. It hits the fan ,and then they expect others to clean up the mess for them.
I have never heard the president of our local bank call himself "the owner." Is this a Mexican thing? . .privately owned banks.
Good thing, look what happened to Adela. :-)
Kirby, thanks for the additions and the tech tutorial. I know absolutely nothing about this stuff.
I was thrilled when yet another man said "hell no!" to Chisca. That she got caught red-handed on camera stealing the outfit was icing on the cake.
Why in the world have Mig and Dora not thought about trying to get Chisca into rehab?
Gee, how bad can Victor be if he is friends with singer/songwriter Jorge Gallegos? Even though he has ulterior motives, I'm still taking Vic over Mig.
Somehow Jimena got herself invited (by Chisca I think) to the Garza family dinner. Mig was polite but not happy she was there. When Chisca said Jimena was like family, Mig stayed silent.
Mig is too arrogant in his fancy duds and super car blowing off Howard Toledo in his plebeian shirt and tie. He thinks he is entitled to do whatever, ruining legit business owners along with narcos, to launder money to cleanse his precious family business.
The other issue is that since Chisca is no longer a minor they can't force her into rehab. There could be a legal situation that might demand it so Miguel should research that.
I'm no authority, but that seems to make sense on the surface. I just can't help but think that sitting on her ass in jail for any or all of her shenanigans might help her to stop using the drugs which seem to be one of her big problems.
I feel the writers are setting us up for something with Victor but I can't figure out what it is. I want to believe he's a good guy but my spidey senses are tingling.
Niecie - excellent observations about Miguel regarding Chisca, Jimena, and the family dinner.
Kirby - ITA some time in jail may do Chisca some good but ... I'm not sure. If her near death experience hasn't scared her straight, I don't know what will. Maybe almost getting Jorge killed could change her.
Chisca is at an age when people still think they're immortal. The near-death experience wasn't frightening enough. She should have been sent to rehab immediately after that.
Miguel should make out his will right now and disinherit her. There is no law that I know of that prevents anyone from disinheriting a sibling. This might have teeth, but maybe not. She is a real hardcase.
She is out of Miguel's life, and she can continue to do drugs and sleep with lowlife. Not perfect, but close.
Kirby, I always enjoy your comments too and thank you for providing the "tech guy" education for everyone.
I hope Chisca will someday go to rehab. She is just spiraling down, down, down. Who knows where she will end up. I just don't get the Chisca/Jimena alliance. Makes no sense unless Jimena is only using Chisca to get close to the Garza family and so she can pretend to be one of them.
It was nice to see Adela enjoying herself and what a treat she had with her own personal concert!
I might add, though, a small detail. In that conversation between Miggy and Spanish Boy, he assured MiG that he talks to Chisca every day. To be sure MiG doesn’t bring it up with Chisca, he asked him not to say anything to her—not making her think they are discussing their relationship. MiG agreed. (I am NOT capitalizing MiG—that’s auto correct thinking I’m referring to Russian jets.)
Also, the lab Jimena visited (instead of MiG) manufactures medical drugs. The deal is that the Garzas will buy lots of drugs, but take no delivery. I kind of lost track of the negotiations when Jimie said something about charging a lot for certain of the drugs. When she went for a “walk she got caught in the off-limits area, Miggy got interested and now he wants to get in there to see what this formerly well known scientist is doing there and what it is they are making.
