El Dragon - Season 2 Episode 5 - November 29, 2019

Good evening,

We left off Wednesday with Edna and Hector in cahoots to get to the bottom of the murder of Hectors sister, but Edna turned the tables and ended up putting Hector on the spot about Miguel. Will Hector betray his friend to the authorities to see Epigmenio behind bars. Tonight we will see.

Hector defends Miguel, he tells Edna that he provided her with evidence that Carlos Duarte is guilty. She badgers him, but he tells her that Miguel has been his friend his whole life and that he has done nothing but help him investigate his sisters murder. She tells him that there is no way he has his hands clean, or why would they put a bomb in his place. Hector says he has no idea and keeps Miguel out of it completely. Edna tells him that he asks for a lot but cooperates only a little. Hector asks her if it is insignificant the fact that he is bringing her evidence to incriminate Carlos Duarte. Edna says they will do it his way and start with cutting off the heads he proposes. But that once the war starts, there is no going back.


Velentin and Chisca are sitting on the couch canoodling, apologizing to Miguel for being so effusive with their love. Finally, Miguel gets to act like he knows something. Dora and Jorge come into the room and they too, receive the news of the happy engaged couple. Miguel gives V the official welcome to the family.

Miguel and Valentin are alone together and Miguel tells V thank you for making Chisca happy, for coming to take care of the situation quickly. V asks him if he is ok, and M confesses that he is a little worried. V confirms that it is about what happened at the office. Miguel confirms that it was an attack and he tells V about the bomb, V says that he didn’t realize it was so serious. M explains that the bomb took out a large part of the office and about Miriam dying. M says he thinks he knows who did it, but doesn’t want to get into it. V tells M that he doesn’t know how M stays on his feet. They call each other cuñado (brother-in-law). I would like to know why I keep getting to recap all of the Chisca and Valentin stuff. Seriously, I am seriously tired of these two. I got a break last week, but as we can see it didn’t last long. Although, hats off to those who recapped the Adri overdose.

Edna and Hector are back in her office saying goodbye. Hector tells Edna that he would appreciate being kept in the loop and Edna tells him she won’t lose sight of him. But really, not sure if that was nice or a threat. It sounded a little ominous. On his way out, she stops Marcos, Edna wants Marcos to find Tacho. She tells him he is a detective and that he obviously likes to do things his way, pumping up his ego a bit. I can see why she gets things done. She can be nice when she wants to, but she can also play dirty when necessary. Definitely someone to have on the right side of the law.

Miguel and Ishiro are on the phone and M asks I if he took care of the USB and prototype of Efilina. Ishiro tells M, they are safe in a safe.

At dinner the Garza are talking about the wedding, should it be big or small. Jorge doesn’t look convinced, he keeps giving his sister the side eye. V tells him not to worry, he can come to Spain when he wants and that he is gaining a brother not losing a sister. Adela comes limping with Miguels help to dinner. She congratulates Chisca and V on the engagement.

V and M step away from the table and V thanks M for helping him realize that Chisca needed him. That he was so caught up in the divorce that he left her alone, and that had he been more attentive, he could have prevented her from using again. M tells him that Chisca will be happy at his side. V asks about Adela. He tells M that you can tell from a mile away that he is in love. M tells V that it isn’t easy for him. V asks M if he is going to decide to live what he feels for Adela. V comes back to the table because Chisca tells them that she wants her boyfriend back, V corrects her, prometida sound better(fiancé).They sit and M makes a toast to the new couple. V toasts to all of the kids they will have.

At Edna’s house she is having dinner with her husband Mauricio, he can tell something is bothering her. She doesn’t want to say, but he tells her to trust him. What a sneaky bastard, always trying to pump her for info. If they weren’t already married I would say he is as bad as Valentin, and gives men a bad name. Edna tells him that she has evidence against Carlos connecting him to the attack on Miguel Garza. She tells him that she has never liked Carlos’s ways, but that she has also never messed with her husbands friendships. However, Mauricio’s relationship with Carlos can have a negative effect on his own political career. She bluntly states that she is going to make him fall. He tells her to do it, Carlos is responsible for his own actions. At the end, she tells him to not tell Carlos. I imagine that that is exactly what he is going to do. Otherwise he wouldn’t be taking pictures of her files.

Back at Garza manor, Miguel is telling V about the Efilina, how he tried it and that he only felt pleasure. V tries to pump him for more info, the Dr.’s name. Miguel refused. V offers his contacts in Italy. M tells him that isn’t the route he wants to go yet, but will let him know. V can tell he is burned on the questions about Efilina so he changes the subject and asks M if Jimena really gave Chisca the drugs. Miguel says that Chisca didn’t come out and say it directly, and that she is capable of saying anything to hurt him. V offers to ask Chisca and see if she tells him. Miguel tells him not to worry about it that he has plans to keep an eye on Jimena. And that he hopes that for her own good, it isn’t true.

Edna home, hubby going out to run. She tells him she shouldn’t have told him, no he needs to run off the stress.

Hector and Ana are with the baby and Hector is pacing with excitement about putting the bad guys in prison. Telling Ana that she doesn’t know what this could mean. Talking about Tacho going to prison and giving up ePig and Carlos. Hector is sure that the plan will work. He says that when everything is settled, they all will be able to go far away.

Mauricio apparently ran directly to Carlos’s secret apartment and a meeting with him and ePig is in progress. It is one thing that Carlos is there, but that is some serious balls to have E in the room with them. That ties him directly the the criminal. I hope it comes back to bite his ass. The conversation revolves around what to do with Edna. They all know that she isn’t going to stop until she has what she wants, that she is smart. Carlos suggests planting false evidence. E says he has the perfect bait and wants to turn in Tacho. Carlos says that Tacho with talk and E says no. Give Tacho a back story so that it looks like he works alone. Mauricio says he has to run so his wife doesn’t suspect. E hits up C for not saying thanks to him the way he did to Mauricio.

Jimena is meeting in a bar with a man named Emmanuel. Apparently, he is an old friend…who she used to sleep with. She wants to offer him business, asks him about white powder. She offers him Efilina in exchange for a simple favor. He tells her that nothing is ever simple with her.

Tacho and E are talking, E wants T to go to prison. E tells him he can’t give orders he has to obey. E tell T that he is so useless that he couldn’t even kill the Japanese guy. Tacho asks him to send someone else. Tacho pulls a gun on E, E on T, what did you say? T puts down his gun, didn’t have the guts to shoot him. E tells him to run and then says “Thats why I like you.”

Tacho’s parents are at home, someone knocks on the door saying they have money from Tacho. Men come in with guns threatening them.

Part of the new security, upon entry to the company, is an iris detector, apparently more advanced that ocular scan. Kenia, Jorge and Flaco enter the company. The new receptionist is Patricia. Flaco comments on how she isn’t a millennial. I am assuming by that he means she is old. Kenia excuses his rude behavior. Miguel asks Trejo if he situated things with Miriam’s family, Trejo confirms and then Miguel introduces the new receptionist to the team. Jorge comments on how quickly they got the offices up and running. He asks her if she has been able to get into contact with Jimena, she says not yet. They are happy with the new tech area.

Tacho’s mom calls Tacho, they have his parents tied up and she tells him to come for them. Are they Marco’s guys are Epigs?

Jimena brings in her resignation. Miguel asks her if it is her final decision. She tells Miguel that it isn’t her decision, and that in fact it is his, since she can’t work there if he can’t trust her. She brings Emmanuel in to prove that she needed the coke for a client. He tells his story, exactly as she told him. I imagine this was the favor she asked for back at the bar.

Tacho is brought to E, he was the one who kidnapped his parents. Are you going to play nice. He threatens his parents. Tells him to do exactly what he says.

Marcos is looking for Tacho. Got some guys on the street to look for him.

Trejo is meeting with the Dr. Jimena isn’t available. He is suspicious about someone other than J meeting with them.

Marcos catches Tacho, arrests him for suspicion of murder.

Tacho gets booked. They give his real name, Ilario Rincon Villafuerte, alias Tacho Guadaña. He has to put They recount all of his possessions as he is booked. Including his belt, a wallet with 200 pesos, chain with a cross, silver ring, cell phone, watch, license, credencial de INE ( which I think is the voting credential), and breath mints. The cop tells him that he is going to need them with his new friends inside.

J is cleaning out her office when M walks in. He tells her it was a good move to bring in a potential client. She tells him it wasn’t a move, but proof that she was telling the truth. She claims that she would never be stupid enough to betray his trust, not because she loves him, but because she knows him, that she knows the type of person he is and that he would never forgive that kind of betrayal. She gets flustered when he says nothing and asks him if he is going to say anything. His answer to that is that people who have little to hide say little. That there is something that doesn’t let him believe her completely. But either way he doesn’t want her to quit. That she has had access to private information while working there and that if she leaves, she could become a danger to the business. She could turn on him, but he doesn’t want to take the risk. She says she will stay and take it as a chance to win his trust back. He responds that it won’t be easy but he hopes she can. However, he wants her away from his family and his house. Kinda of a low blow, reasonable, but low.

Edna is with a man talking about the bullets from the guns. They have the murder weapon they were looking for.

Tacho arrives at the prison to catcalls, he gets put in his cell. The guard/officer tells the cellmates that the food has arrived.

Miguel brings Adela tea out in the yard. He asks how she is feeling and she says that she is glad she is back becasue the house is the only place in Mx that she feels at home. She tells M that the doctor came to see her and told her that if she wants to get better fast, she has to have a lot of sex. He freaks a little and she laughs and tells him it was just a joke. M tells her that she regained her sense of humor quickly. She says she never lost it and that the doctor told her she was recovering faster than he expected. He tells her that is the best news he could receive. Rosario interrupts them, someone is looking for him.

Hector is there at M house, telling him to be careful, Tacho is in prison. Warns him before one things leads to another. M reads the situation right, that Tacho will lead to E which will lead to Carlos and then right to him. They argue over the fact that Hector shouldn’t have gone to Edna. Then they have the same age old argument, that Miguel is working with criminals and that is why he doesn’t want them behind bars or talking. Hector tells him that it isn’t his fault that Miguel is in business with his sisters killers. This also leads to Hector telling Miguel that the only reason he came to give him a heads up is because he still considers him a friend.

Edna and Marcos are looking at the file of Tacho, saying he is an independent criminal and that does not coincide with what they know about him, that it can’t be right. They decide to go interview him in person.

Miguel is talking to Dora and Peligros, about Hector’s visit. That if Tacho is arrested the first thing he would give up the transport company. They will need to shut down the transport business for awhile and in the long run of course Miguel would like to dismantle El Salado. Miguel again argues that they don’t need it, and that is was an unnecessary risk. She tells M that his grandfather always had problems and that he confronted them as a man, that it is important to maintain the legacy and that maybe Miguel isn’t at his grandfathers level. They send Peligros to take care of things.

Tacho is in the interview room. Edna introduces herself. She offers a lawyer, is he willing to be interviewed without a lawyer present. She tells him that his record gave her a lot of information about him and that his situation is complicated. She asks him if it his gun. That the gun is related to three different murders. Two directly involved in the bombing at Naga company. Tacho makes a smart ass remark about speaking clearIy. She asks him why he bombed the office, he said for revenge, that he wanted to invest in the stockmarket, that Miguel said he didn’t mess with dirty money, so he put the bomb in his company.

Miguel is on the phone with Zaragoza telling him to put the brakes on everything. That they are expecting unwelcome visitors. Z tries to argue, saying he doesn’t think its a good idea. M tells him it isn’t an idea, its an order.

Chisca and V are walking up as M and I are leaving. M tells Chisca that she and Jorge are not to go to the office. Ishiro and M leave together.

M meets with Carlos. If he declares they could all be in danger. C tells M that Tacho won’t talk.

E and Marcos watch Tacho from the mirror. Tacho asks for water. She drinks the water in front of him. Enjoying it. If you want us to treat you better, cooperate more. Tacho pretends he doesn’t know Epig. She tells him she will make a deal, if she asks him a question and he gives her evasive answers it is most likely he will end up in a cell that he will never leave.

CJ, Peligros at the shipping company, hiding all the merchandise.

Chisca and Jorge talking to Dora, J asks D if they can talk more privately. Jorge doesn’t want V knowing all his business. V offers to go to the restroom, but then makes a phone call.

Marcos says they got an anonymous call about the business of the Garza, she wants a court order. Most likely it was sneaky Valetin. He is willing to use even the law to bring down Miguel. Edna is in CJ with a court order to Peligros. He lets her search the trucks. She tells him to take their time. No hurry.

Two trucks escaping a back road to another warehouse. Z wants the merchandise packed into the containers.

Back at Garza Transport, tfhey checked everything and its all clean. Edna is not happy. The men were worried about getting caught.

Peligros on the phone with Miguel, everyone on the ranch on high alert.

Carlos and M are meeting and he tells C that Tacho had to have talked she is a step ahead of them. C says there is no way T talked. C tries to blame Hector.

Edna’s office. Secretary of CJ meeting with Edna. The conversation leads to the cover up of Hecotr's sister. The secretary says that everything Hector said was true and finally admits that the person who covered up the whole incident was Carlos Duarte.

That is it for this episode, I put the season 2 episode 5 part because that is what it is titled on Univison. They are not continuing the numbering. This was a little short because I will have another up tomorrow. Two episodes in one night is beyond my brain function at this hour. Plus, since we are no longer on Netflix episodes, there is no way to see them in advance and have more time to write. So I know this is not up to my usual standards. But I hope you all enjoy.
