AnonFri, your recap of Wed. #93 was excellent. You capture everything.

Here's some bits from Thurs, #94. Part I

Nihan arrives at Leyla's, waiting for Kemal to leave. Some tension. Leyla tells Nihan she made a big mistake in abandoning him. Nihan replies it's the most difficult thing she's ever done, she had to choose between her life and Kemal's. Leyla says, we've got to tell Kemal about the threats. "If you don't, I will." Nihan says Kemal would have killed Emir if she did not intervene in the office "duel". Kemal would have died before her eyes, or become a killer himself.

Switch to Emir telling Asu in the office that Nihan has returned, didn't you know? Tufan enters and Emir lets Asu know that Tufan, who Emir calls "my accomplice," helped him. Asu stomps out. Tufan goes after her

Confrontation. Asu reproaches Tufan for betraying her. "What kind of person are you?" Tufan says he only had the false info about the boat, somebody else actually found them. Asu says, Kemal found your mother, and you do this?

Tufan blurts out "everything I do is for you! I love you!" Stunned Asu....what? Tufan says, all these years I've stayed at your side, I only want your happiness. Asu runs away.

Zeynep and Ozan. Zeynep feels alone in the house. Ozan wants to bring her parents back. Vildan is eavesdropping as Ozan has a jealousy fit about Salih.

Zeynep tells Vildan: I'm giving you a grandchild. Vildan replies, "will it really be MY grandchild?" Aha.

Ozan wants a family dinner with the Soyderes to announce the pregnancy. Vildan is on the case. In later scenes, she goes to Huseyin, tells him the pregnancy news, and together they go to Fehime. Both parents seem pleased, but Fehim says we can't forget that easily. They refuse the dinner invitation at first, but after some handwringing Fehime runs out to Vildan's car and invites them to dinner at the Soydere's house instead.

Vildan agrees, it will be the kids and her and Onder. Tariq is invited. He's happy too. He was with Banu when he got the call, and tells her "one day" he'll introduce her to his parents. She says "You are a great man!"

Vildan tells Zeynep and Ozan about the dinner. Zeynep is pleased, "how did you get them agree?" She hugs "mama" Vildan.
Hüseyin invites Kemal. He won't come. Fehime calls Asu.

# 94, Part II

So the stage is set for the family dinner. What could go wrong?

There's Nihan and Yasemin in the studio, Nihan describing in glowing tones her night with Kemal. Yasmin asks, "how could you have the best night of your life ...and then abandon him?" Nihan answers, "I don't have the strength." The two friends hug.

Here we go with more investigation by Kemal and his loyal sidekick Zehir. Zehir thinks maybe Nihan did go back voluntarily, but Kemal is convinced that something happened to cause Nihan's sudden change of heart. He's going to get to the bottom of it.

Now they've got some guy blindfolded in some hideaway, demanding to know who hired him to hurt Leyla. Zehir makes some scary noises in the background, and the guy ultimately admits to entering and stabbing Leyla, but he doesn't say Emir's name or anyone who contracted him. Kemal and Zehir got confession on video, and talk about turning it over to the police.

Meanwhile, after alien ringtone, Emir is ordering someone to destroy the video in the village [I guess the village where the bungalow was]. Zehir and Kemal have found a man in a car lot who recalls two "mafioso" types on the 15th of the month, the key date, and provides a number from his notebook [license plate number?]

Zehir and Kemal put Salih to work tracing the info, and Kemal declares "Emir will pay."

Zehir reports that Salih found an address for the number, and Zehir's getting his guys to go there and make them talk.

And there we end for now.

Dear Patio,

I'm off to Mexico for a couple of weeks. Don't think I'll be able to comment or watch.

There goes my daily dose of Kemal :-). I'll miss you guys too! I'll check in when I can.

For kemal like he fights for her. He knows this, I guess. Poor guy, if he didn't have zehir and salih he'd be all alone. His family is a bigO fat

"Emir Will pay", yeah until the next time. When he'll pay again. And again.
And again. Wash, rinse, spin repeat.
I don't think that baby is Emir's.
Lucky baby if he isn't. I think that is ozan's baby. Zeynep wishes it was so She can have a hold on Emir. Why the hell would Anyone want this guy?

Thank you for the recap, Clara. I guess we were right, we suspected Tufan to be in love with Asu. You'd think that he would have done anything to prevent Nihan from returning to Emir, just so he can have a chance with Asu.

Nina, I agree that the family dinner will be one to remember. Fehime calling Asu was ridiculous. She's not part of the family yet. Judging from the previews I saw this morning, it seems like Emir will force Nihan to show up.

I was surprised Tariq has stopped being so cold and shows some emotion towards Zeynep's pregnancy, and even asked about Kemal. Hopefully he changes his entitlement.

I haven't considered whether the child could be Ozan's. What would she do? She doesn't have the motherly instinct.

Kemal joins the dinner table. Fehime requests that Asu serve Kemal the food he most likes. Nihan mentions to Emir that they have his favorite dish. Emir says “With real potatoes too. Don’t we all appreciate the things that come from the earth, Kemal?” Nihan gets embarrassed and says “I’m sorry, that’s the way Emir is. As soon as he found out about the dinner he brought me here.” Kemal says “It would have been incomplete without you here.” Leyla observes Emir clenching Nihan’s hand like a fork. She asks him why he’s doing that. He tells Leyla she should have been a part of his family, given her sense of humor.

Everyone is ready to eat. Onder says that the two families are gathered tonight in celebration of Ozan and Zeynep’s baby. Emir says “This could not have gone on without me, because family is very important, although I don’t like babies that much unless it’s my wife’s child.” Zeynep looked very upset. Ozan interrupts to say that the stars of the night are Zeynep and Fehime. Everyone begins eating. Nihan gets uncomfortable and asks Emir if they can leave, but he tells her that they’ve just arrived. Then he says aloud “we are celebrating with the whole family. We’ll leave after dinner.” Nihan says fine, but he better take her somewhere afterwards. She smiles at Kemal as Emir tells her “Wherever you want, my precious. He directs to Kemal “How have you been feeling?” Kemal says he’s had better days, Emir says that it happens.

Asu puts her hand in Kemal’s shoulder and asks him if he wants to try some delicious dish. Nihan interrupts her to ask if she can pass over the salt. Emir tells Nihan that she should have just asked him instead because he would have gotten up for it. Then he hits Zeynep with “Zeynep, you’ll want to eat more everyday, so you should take advantage of today.” Zeynep gives him the look of wanting to slap him.

Onder asks Hussein how his barbershop business is going. Hussein says that it’s been going well, but that there are bandits from time to time in the area. “They are bastards,” he continues, “but nothing that should make us worry.” Emir offers his help in the situation, but Kemal says they know how to deal with the problem themselves.

Emir calls out Asu for being too quiet. Asu then cuts her finger and Kemal says he will help her with the wound. Nihan gets aggravated and curtly asks if he will take her to the hospital. She doesn’t get a response, other than Kemal getting up to look for the first aid. She sits there trying to hide her jealousy. “Nihan how are you feeling? I see that you’re pale. I hope that blood doesn’t freak you out,” Zeynep maliciously comments, with that bloated fish face she makes. Fehime then mentions that hopefully Kemal and Asu will not only get engaged soon, but also marry. Nihan drops her glass and it breaks. Vildan offers to help, and Emir says “My love, You’re very distracted right now,” as he comforts her.

Vildan tells Onder that this night has been disastrous in all aspects. “I told you so,” Onder replies. Nihan asks Emir: “Will we leave now, my love?” He responds that he will go wash his hands first.

Leyla stands next to Kemal and asks him what he’s doing. Kemal says “Leyla, watch. She’s not even trying to hide it. She’s jealous of Asu.”

 

Emir wanted to go to the bathroom to wash his hands. He stops at the entrance and notices the shoes there. “The postman is calling twice,” he remarks. Kemal says that it means he can’t enter the home without permission. Tariq offers to help Emir find the bathroom, which makes Emir comment about how he would get lost in the house, but he assumes the bathroom is at the end to the right. Tariq confirms, but Kemal tells him that he must take his shoes off to enter the house, as those are the rules. Emir looks entertained.

Meanwhile, Asu is sitting across from Nihan and gloats: “Don’t make it so obvious. You’re jealous.”

Emir asks Zeynep where was her room. She wants to know why he’s asking. He claims that she’s turned like her, though now she doesn’t drop by his room anymore. She asks if he’s really trying to make his marriage work with Nihan. He comments that she’s always persistent on that, and doesn’t answer her question. He continues that’s it’s normal she’s always getting lost in the Sezin home because it’s huge, compared to her boxed life in the Soydere house. Zeynep tells him not to believe that because everything she’s done has been very intentional. He says “You’re like those Brazilian soccer players because they get to the big leagues yet they come from the poorest neighborhoods.” Zeynep confidently responds that he must certainly know how many items they’ve won the World Cup. As she’s leaving she adds that he misses when she would spend time with him in his room.

Kemal is still observing Nihan and tells Leyla: “It’s obvious that she was forced to do this. Look, she’s trying so hard not to even look at me.” Leyla tells him to stop observing her.

Emir comes back to the patio and says aloud “it was a little difficult.” He turns his attention to Nihan and suggests that they go to the wharf for a bit.

Zeynep asks Onder to take her home because she’s tired. Emir invites Fehime to visit her daughter at the Sezin home. Meanwhile, Nihan thanks Fehime for the dinner and exits the gates with Emir.

Leyla tells Kemal that As strange as the whole thing was, Nihan was definitely trying to do her part at the dinner. He stubbornly believes that Nihan is lying. “And what will you do to prove it? Spy on their house?” She asks. “That’s what I will do,” Kemal says and immediately gets in his car.

Asu texts Emir to alert him that Kemal is following them because he wasn’t convinced about their fake marriage. Emir makes a right and goes down a narrow road. When Kemal gets there he looks around and sees the car down the path. He follows.

Onder, Vildan and the two buffoons leave together. Leyla makes a comment as she watches them drive off.
 

In the car, Vildan asks Ozan: “How was Emir aware?” “I don’t know,” he responds. Onder says “I warned you.” Vildan responds that “It’s fine, at least we’re done with this circus.” Zeynep wants to know what she meant by that, but Vildan tells them they need to get home because she has a terrible headache. Ozan tells her he feels the same, and he asks Zeynep how she’s doing. She responds that she’ll feel much better as soon as she gets home.

“You’re a terrible actress,” Emir scolds Nihan in the car. She looks at him. Emir continues that “You also lost the prize. Kemal is following us because he doesn’t believe you. He keeps asking questions.. this whole thing is tiring, but we have to solve it Nihan, my way.” “What do you want me to do now?” She asks him. “To fulfill your duties as my wife, completely,” he says.

The family arrives home and Ozan comments that he feels like he was run over by a train. “Imagine if I had asked for your hand?” He says to Zeynep. She huffs at him.

Ozan asks his wife if she will join him in bed. Zeynep tells Ozan that she will go shower first. After a while she comes out of the bathroom to check if he’s asleep. She confirms and walks out into the hallway looking for Emir’s room, wearing her nude heels.

Kemal is in the Sezin property. He’s trying to get a look at the bedroom. As he sees Emir’s window, he thinks back to Nihan asking to spend the night with Emir. Then he’s thinking to all of the clues from the dinner. “I can’t believe this,” he says, trying to convince himself, “it’s a lie.”

Nihan and Emir arrive home. He tries to kiss her but she walks past him and into the home. They are greeted by the housekeeper. He asks Nihan: “My room or yours? I suppose Romeo is in front of mine.” He takes her hand and leads her to his bedroom.

Zeynep is getting to Emir’s room. She looks around, getting ready to surprise him.

Kemal sees his sister standing by the window. She catches him by the bushes and tries to confirm that it’s him. She’s too distracted to notice the doorknob turning. Emir and Nihan enter the room and find Zeynep there, looking towards the window. Everyone is shocked and Emir begins to look like he’s going to kill her. They both get up close to Zeynep, speechless and glaring at her. Zeynep still stands there, unable to think of what to say. Kemal watches all three of them because they are at the window frame. He starts to tear up.

The dinner wasn’t as bad as it could be. Zeynep looking mad throughout the whole thing was funny though. She deserved it.

I hope Kemal and Nihan realize once and for all that Zeynep is Emir’s lover. The way she was standing there dumbfounded and caught is enough proof. I was hoping Nihan would slap her just for the sake of it.

This was an interesting Episode for the first time in a while.
The others were to but this one was a
Revealing one.
Kemal teared up cuz he just figured out who threw him and nihan under that
Emir's 18 wheeler. Little sis ain't so
Sweet n innocent. I don't think she ever was.
Nihan slappin that sneaky bitch would have been a good thing to do, and then
Walk out. Emir looked like he was gona
Explode. He was so puckered up his eyes were bugged out.

That dinner was a disaster. And fehima
Inviting asu was useless. Kemal has no
Intentions toward that clingy vine of
Darkness.
Ozan is a useless waste of skin. He is
A child pretending to be man. This one
Character has really been underwritten
They should have at least given him a job. He does Nothing but lay around and sleep, watch tv and eat. Lazy and
Dumb.

I meant to say something about this on the recap from night before, asu told
Tufan "kemal found your mother for you and you do this to him?", She was talkin about him helpin emir find him
And nihan. I'm surprised cuz that was good for her. But I think She was just
Stund, but she did make a good point.
Tufan's behavior makes no sense to me at all.

Thanks AnonFri for your stellar recap of Friday's episode. We are lucky to have you and your talents. I especially liked the "bloated fish face" description of Zeynep.

The only thing I remember from before you picked up was more investigation, Zehir and Kemal questioning some guys.

The dinner, I wanted to see more of what they were eating! How good of a cook is Fehime? What does she dish out for a celebratory dinner?

Zeynep in Emir's room, the master manipulator should be able to come up with some lame excuse like "I was looking for a book." Oh right, she used that one already. The looks and glares of all three were classic.

Nina, really good insight about how Kemal teared up at the end because he realized Zeynep betrayed him. I thought he was reacting to seeing Emir and Nihan together in the bedroom, but you must be right. He put it all together.

Sorry I'm going to miss Zeynep's being exposed. If that's what'a about to happen!

Yes, Tufan and Asu's actions are confused. They seem to say one thing and do another, especially Tufan, who winces at what Emir asks him to do, then does it. I'm trusting that it will all make some sense in the end.
