Caray, Caray!

I guess we haven’t seen too much of Epig this week, so they packed it all in tonight. Tonight we open with the Epigmenio restrained by Ishiro because Lobo is armed, was it with a bomb at the end of last nights episode? Epig starts immediately arguing that it was just as a precaution. Lobo adds that they didn’t have any intention of using it. Miguel reiterates that they had all agreed that no one to be armed except the security of the island. Epigs argument was that just a few days ago someone tried to kill him. Jaramillo jumps in with the fact that someone is always looking to kill them. Miguel tells him that it doesn’t justify his actions. Epig claims it does because it could have been one of them. Pierro (Italian Guy) says that if things continue like this, everything will be a disaster, and the Serbian says that the rules have to be the same for everyone. Miguel tells everyone that they are there to resolve something much more important. Sergei (Russian) asks when they are going to stop wasting their time with security checks, and Miguel answers, right now. Before they go back to the meeting Miguel confers with Ishiro about the infiltrator. Ishiro tells him it is under control. Miguel and Adela exchange a nod, not sure what they were referring too.


Back in the meeting the group is asking questions about the new product. Pierro is the normal impatient dissenter about so much mystery. Miguel talks about the sales strategy they are going to use. Miguel introduces Jimena. Epigmenio had to throw in his not so funny commentary, “look who it is, the dynamic duo.” Jimena starts with, “let me show you the plan that will put efilina in the hands of the whole world.

Adela is walking around after the search and asks Ishiro what all of that was about. Ishiro tells her it was a false alarm, a glitch in the system. Adela asks him what he means and he tells her that someone is sharing private information with someone off the island. Adela asks the obvious, “don’t Flaco and Kenia have all of that covered?” Ishiro tells her that that is what is seems, but Adela isn’t satisfied and I am not sure if she was being sarcastic or sincere when she says that it is a good thing that they searched all of the guests again. It can play either way, she is either serious for fear for Miguel and his business dealings, or sarcastic in how this searching repeatedly is going to effect the business of Miguel. The next line makes me think serious more than sarcastic, because when Ishiro tells her that it could also be one of them, she wants to know if that is what Miguel thinks. Ishiro tells her that they cannot discard that possibility either. Adela says poor Miguel, no wonder he was so nervous when he came into the room. Ishiro gave a look and Adela put two and two together realizing that Miguel entered the room worried that it could have been her. Ishiro justifies Miguel telling her that any country in the world would give anything to trap all of the mob bosses that are on that island. Adela starts to say that she is…Miguels girlfriend? But before she can finish, Ishiro excuses himself.

Back at the headquarters of wherever Edna, Gary and the Naval Admiral (I think that was his rank from the last episode) are, the Admiral is saying that they should abort the mission. Edna says that they can’t. The Admiral says that they can’t penetrate the blockage and Gary says that they should try the signal again. The Admiral says that they already did. Edna asks him what he thinks happened, and he replies that the person sending it either won’t or can’t send it again. Edna goes to Gary and asks him if they trapped her. How is he supposed to know. She has been with him the entire time, its not like he is keeping secrets. I don’t like that they take this super confident, smart woman and make her act like she doesn’t know what is going on in this situation. But they she gets a little heartless, cause Gary tells her that he doesn’t know if Kenia is trapped and she throws a little fit and says that when she steps foot off of that island, she wants Kenia in front of her. Gary brings her back to earth by reminding her that she could very well be dead already. Edna tells him to notify him when he knows something about Kenia, even if it is to identify the body.

Ishiro is standing over Flaco going over his work. Flaco is bothered and tells Ishiro to stop breathing down his neck, Ishiro reminds Flaco of how important it is and that he needs to know who it was. Flaco tells him he will let him know about any movement, and that if he knew who it was, he would have already told him. Ishiro asks why he can’t trace them, and Flaco has had it and yells at Ishiro to let him do his work. Ishiro tells him because his work depends on Flaco’s and that what he has to do is get rid of the source. Flaco tells him to let him think. Kenia steps in at this point and tells Ishiro that it could have been a system error. Flaco doesn’t like that Kenia is suggesting that it could have been an error on their part and gets up to defend his work. Kenia gets mad at Flaco telling him she was trying to help him. Flaco tells her that he doesn’t need her to defend him. Ishiro has to break up their argument. Ishiro asks, “then what was it?” To which Flaco answers that he doesn’t know what it was but that it was someones fault. Kenia takes the opportunity to hit one for her team and says, well then we don’t have anything. Ishiro asks Flaco how the system was hacked, if it was by a computer. Flaco says yes, if they were off the island, but if they were on the island they would have needed a computer and a GPS receiver.

Jimena explaining how Pidenos can help deliver Efilina. That Pidenos is an app that delivers food like any other with the exception that you can order from any restaurant. The app is already functioning in many countries. They will order their food, and if they have the correct special code, they can use it to have Efilina delivered with it. The money will be paid via credit card and will be clean. Pierro gets up applauding. But Epig has to have his say so he butts in with, what about the street sellers? Miguel explains how the sellers will no longer be selling the merchandise, but rather handing out the codes where it can be purchased. Epig doesn’t like the idea. He says, so these guys will go from selling to handing out little papers. Miguel says they can still sell the other merchandise, but that in a couple of years they won’t have to anymore, cause no one will want the other product. Epig responds sarcastically with, this is absurd, what intelligence. Miguel comes back saying that the Efilina is already a done deal and on the market, the question is if they want to work with him or for him. Miguel then offers them the opportunity to think about the proposal, to enjoy the facilities and if interested to try the drug, to see the quality of it. Most of them take it right there at the table.

Jimena and Miguel are walking along the bridges that litter the property, and Jimena tells him that she thinks they have them. Miguel tells her that the app was a masterful move. She says that she knows it was going to work. Miguel tells her that it was a well rounded plan and that she was excellent. Jimena counters that they were excellent and that they are a team. He tells her she is right and that he couldn’t have done it without her. She tells him to look at them, they could do that and much more. Miguel tells Jimena that he did not make a mistake with her. Adela approaches them at the moment, interrupting, calling Miguel “my love” telling him how glad she is that things went well. Jimena tells her they went not just good but incredible. Adela uses that statement to tell Jimena that she must be super tired then, and she should make her way to rest. Jimena leaves grudgingly.

Miguel approaches Epigmenio that night and asks to join him. Epig tells him that he can do what he wants, he is the all powerful. Miguel asks him what he thinks about the business. Epig tells him that he thinks that Miguel wants to go far with his ideas, but that he is more stubborn than his grandfather. Miguel tells him that they have a lot of history. Epig comments “don’t even tell me about it.” But Miguel plods on. “The first time you wanted to kill me was when I was leaving the restaurant, then the bomb in my office, the murder of Zaragoza and of course the death of my parents.” Epig doesn’t deny anything except the last. He denies that he killed Miguels parents. Saying that Roberto was his friend. Miguel tells him that he doesn’t have to lie. Epig tells Miguel that he doesn’t expect him to believe him, but that he repeats that he didn’t have anything to do with that. Miguel tells him “look Miguel, you can hate me for a lot of things. But neither do I have to accept something I didn’t do. Miguel tells him “as you like” Epig states clearly, I didn’t kill them but then leaves the… but he knows who it was. Miguel tells Epig that he isn’t going to fall for his game.

Kenia is trying to avoid the cameras again. Stalking through the trees to not be seen. Looks like someone is following her. She starts to dig a hole in the sand but the guards see her and give chase so she just throws the tracker.

Adela is talking about what Ishiro said about the infiltrator being one of them. How she understands that he is nervous and everything, but to go from there to thinking she could do a thing like that…Miguel isn’t paying attention. He is thinking about Epig. Miguel thinks Epig was telling the truth about not killing his parents. He admitted to a lot of things, just not this one. Adela reminds him that Epig lies about everything and is probably lying about this. That he cannot be trusted. Does he know what she would do to take away his anguish.

Lobo goes to Jaramillo’s room with a message from Epig. Epig and Jaramillo meet at the pool. Epig says that he wants to know if they are on the same page. Jaramillo claims that he doesn’t know what Epig is talking about. Epig tells him they both have a lot to lose. Jaramillo tells Epig that Miguel is offering everyone the same thing. Epig tells him that he doesn’t know Miguel. That of all of the countries they are the only ones that produce product. Jaramillo argues that Efilina is a product with a lot of potential . Epig says that the drug is just a fad and that it will go out of style. That when the drug loses its appeal they will no longer be in charge because he will be the only producer. Epig is butt hurt that he isn’t willing to give the formula. Jaramillo thinks that they will get it at another time. Epig claims that all Miguel wants is to take them out of the game and why should they stop being kings at that moment.

Flaco tells Miguel about the meeting between Epig and Jaramillo. Miguel said that it is to be expected. Ishiro talks about the person who was on the beach and that they are looking into it further.

Miguel goes to see Jaramillo. They discuss the product, its value to the future. Jaramillo says that he is enjoying his stay and Miguel tells him that it can be like this always, that he will no longer have to hide in the jungle. Jaramillo counters with the fact that maybe he likes hiding in the jungle. And then throws at Miguel that he wouldn’t have to have a boss.

Drenka wants to be in, but her dad doesn’t want to. Drenka is sure that it is the future and now is the moment to take advantage. Miguel walks up to them at that moment and asks if they are in Drenka says they are and her dad says that they better not regret it, or Miguel will regret it.

Tadamichi and the Chinese guy are walking. Miguel is talking to the Russian. Jimena on the beach. Karina is with Jaramillo and Miguel approaches her. Karina says that he has been missing. She invites him to her room to learn how she can convince Sergei. She says that a rejected woman is a bad partner.

Adela asks how things are going. Miguel is worried about the hold outs and the ones who are listening to Epig. He tells Adela that her support means a lot to him.

The final meeting. That he is going forward with the Efilina with or without them. That those who are in to raise their hands. Japan, China, Serbs, Italy, Russia has reservations about the production and how the money is going to be split up, but to start is in. Miguel says that he has two who have not votes. Jaramillo says that Colombia is out. Miguel turns the question to Epig and his answer is “Look at how you have them. I have never been with you and I will never be.” Miguel excepts Epig’s answer, as if he expected it. He close the meeting by telling them that he appreciates their attendance and looks forward to working with them in this new adventure. That his employees will make sure that everyone gets back to their locations. The Serbs approach him and thank him for the invitation, that they hope agreeing to the deal isn’t a mistake. Miguel assures them that they won’t regret it. Adela and Drenka exchange a look after Drenka makes eyes at Miguel. The Chinese representative then also comes to thank him for the invite.

Sandro approaches as the Russians are saying goodbye. Karina is very forward with Miguel as they part company. Miguel doesn’t reject her outright and Adela looks on ticked off. She gets back at him a moment later when Lobo is leaving and she comments that he isn’t bad checking him out as he leaves. Miguel is like “HEY!!” and she says, now you know how it feels.

Tadamichi and Miguel are standing looking at the view, Tadamichi asks Miguel if he is satisfied. Miguel answers that most will enter the business, so yes, he is satisfied. That is what is important. Miguel says that sooner or later the rest will enter into the business, they wont have a choice. Tadamichi is quiet and Miguel asks of anything is wrong. Tadamichi tells Miguel, I see you different, more passionate, less cerebral. He tells him to remember that restraint is one of the virtues of the samurai.

Ishiro is walking with the security to the rocks where Kenia was. Ishiro is looking for clues. He sees the tape with the chip. It could be the GPS they are searching for.

The team is celebrating the success of the meeting and Jimena is talking about working with Pidenos and Flaco will know when it will be necessary to add their special order to the parameters of the app. Flaco offers a toast because he was about to lose it many times during their operation but they came out alive. Ishiro approaches the table with the chip, Miguel says that it is now undeniable that there was an infiltrator. Ishiro says that it is important to know if it was one of the guests or….he was about to say part of the team, staff, when everyone interrupts him for accusing them. Flaco inspects the device and identifies it is a military grade GPS receptor.

Miguel and Adela return home and Chisca asks them what happened. Dora states “and there wasnt a problem that I didn’t go to represent the Grupo Salado. At that statement, Miguel tells Dora that he wants to talk to her in the office.

Peligros and Adela are talking, he is upset he didn’t get to go, and she said that he had the harder job, protecting the family. She asks if he knows where the family of Epig lives. He says yes, and she tells him that she wants him to take her there tomorrow. He doesn’t like the idea and so she tells him about her conversation with Miguel and how he spoke with Epig. That Epig told him that he knows who killed Miguel’s parents. Peligros says that Epig would deny his own mother. Peligros told Adela about how Dora told him to keep an eye on her. Adela seems surprised but then just asks Peligros if he is in.

Ishiro and Chisca, she tells him that she learned the meaning of the word he told her Kawaii. Ishiro talks about the fact that there was a problem that needs to be taken care of, that tonight he has to work. He is distant with her.

Dora starts the conversation by asking Miguel why he didn’t take her, but in an accusing way, that she shouldn’t have been left out. Miguel tells her that he has been very patient with her and that his patient is coming to an end. That what he is trying to achieve is very big, but he can’t let anyone be against him, not even his own family. He tells her “If you are on the other side let me know now. I have realized that my weaknesses are my feelings, I don’t have the luxury of being mistaken.” Dora doesn’t taken his comments well. But what does she expect. She keeps going behind his back and hiding things from him, and then she is so embedded in the way they do things that she can’t see what he is trying to do. Plus she keeps insulting him, telling him that his grandfather would be disappointed.

Flaco and Kenia are talking about it. Kenia is asking Flaco who he thinks it was. He asks “Are you ok? You look anxious. I’m serious. If you want to tell me something I am here. Before anything we are friends. Maybe I can help if you are involved in something.” Kenia kisses Flaco.

Jorge is having his dreams again. he is a small child walking down the hall and his grandpa closes the door. He opens it and sees Lamberto tell someone in a big hat (Epig?), here is what you earned. Jorge wakes up sweaty and confused.

Chisca shows up at a bar with her friends. They tell her they haven’t seen her since what happened with Adri. Then they ask her if she wants something. She says no, then says she is going to get a drink.

Flaco and Kenia are kissing and he says why did this take so long, we could have done it on the beach with some beers. Kenia tells Flaco “ I don’t want to be alone tonight.” Flaco says lets go then.

Chisca calls Ishiro, something is wrong, she needs him at the hotel now.

Flaco and Kenia are kissing, and then Kenia stops, she tells Flaco that it isn’t fair that she use him like this. Flaco tells her that she can use use him however she likes. She tells him that she is still in love with Jorge. Flaco tells her that that was a Bucket of cold water. Kenia says that even though she may never be with him again, it isn’t cool to be with Flaco when I want to be with Jorge.

It appears Chisca drew Ishiro out under false pretenses. When he gets to the room she is in lingerie. She tells him “ I wanted to bug you for not wanting to go out with me. But you are here and we are alone. What are you looking at? You look at me, I want to know what you think.” “What I think isn’t important.” he replies “What you think is important to me. I know you don’t like how I am.” Ishiro tells her that he never said that. She tells him that she noticed. How did you realize it he asks and she answers, the way you are looking at me. She gets close to him and whispers “I am not going to change.” and then they kiss, that kiss did in fact have some chemistry.

Final scene of the night, Kenia arrives at her apartment when someone in a mask throws a bag over her head. Probably to be laid at the feet of our good friend Edna.

Well my friends, thats it for tonight. Sorry if I am missing some of my normal commentary. I was in a hurry tonight. Just found out Christmas is at my house. Hope you all have a great weekend and Happy Holiday! See you for what looks to be a double header next Friday night.
