El Dragón #45, 12/2/19 (Season 2 Episode 7): I'll Drink to That

Some details missing but not enough not to post.

Miami: Howard was punked by Miguel, who sent someone over to call him out on his swinger status.

Mexico City: Trejo delivered Miguel's instructions. Flaco talked about movies and other viewing patterns (TV vs. cellphones).

Miami: Howard got on Miguel's case about spying on his private life, possibly with the motive of discrediting him. Miguel is not intimidated.

Mexico City: Chisca and Valentin canoodle in the presence of a decanter of 100 proof liquid.

Adela talked with Miguel on the phone and was not pleased to hear Karina's voice in the background. Miguel promised Adela that they would take a trip when this business deal was concluded. After ending the call she threw the phone onto the bed.

Flaco and Kenia started putting all the films online. People in Los Angeles, Southeast Asia, Paris, etc, began finding them immediately. Adela and Rosario made palomitas and started watching. People in Bangkok, Switzerland, etc., signed on to view. Within minutes four million people were watching and this made the early evening news.

Miami: Ishiro went into the hotel storage area and took the effeline sample from the safe.

Samuel (?) and another guy [forgot his name] were talking about the new stuff until one got a call.

Discussion took place between one of the aforementioned [Samuel?] and Jimena's “client” where he offered him a proposition involving Vanessa. Dollar amounts not mentioned and discussion tabled until later.

Mexico City: Chisca and Valentin were making out without realizing that Ishiro was watching. However they are no Gomez and Morticia. Valentin left and Lurch told Chisca he was accompanying her to Madrid.

Adela decided to go out for a while because she was feeling claustrophobic. Dora tried to stop her, saying it was too dangerous. Adela insisted so Dora sent Peligros to keep an eye on her.

Zaragosa inspected the plane and was satisfied.

Peligros told Adela about Pig being responsible for the death of Miguel's parents, telling her this on the down-low.

Miami: Karina – in classic slutwear – toasted the deal with Miguel. Press party with somebody getting nervous at the sight of Miguel.

Adela and her abuela talked about Miguel. Adela was concerned about possible future infidelities and that Miguel would forget her.

Madrid: Valentin and Rodrigo talked about their deal [missed the details here].

Mexico: Chisca and Ishiro prepared to leave. Jorge didn't like that she was leaving to join Valentin.

Pig sent his new henchie to spy on Miguel's property.

Miami: Howard and his techie checked out a travel site that belongs to Miguel.

Mexico: Kenia came on to Jorge in the office. He told her he didn't trust Valentin, saying “He's not transparent.” Kenia looked a little apprehensive (understandable, since we still don't know her Big Secret).

Chisca and Ishiro waited for their flight. She fell asleep reading a magazine. He slid the magazine out to look at it. She woke up, snuggled up to him like a cat, and fell asleep again. He looked a bit ucomfortable.

Miami: Howard requested permission to take a trip to follow up on Miguel. He's looking for proof of money laundering. Gets permission when Edna's name gets into this.

Madrid: Miguel, Valentin, and Rodrigo drank to future success. Production of the new drug will take place in China for distribution elsewhere. Miguel tells them that the formula is classified information; he's taking no risks with security.

That night Chisca and Ishiro arrived. No problem except that she saw Ishiro handing the sample to Miguel and they're in the same hotel suite. Miguel got a bad vibe [as do we].

Mexico: Pig's henchie photographed Zaragosa's plane.

Madrid: Valentin told Ishiro he was going out with Chisca but Ishiro has orders to keep an eye on her. He only obey's Miguel's orders, which seriously inconveniences Valentin [Too bad, so sad. NOT].

Miguel has coffee with [???] who was drunk. Two men in hoodies stalked and followed them out of the café.

Mexico: Peligros went to Dora to tell her that Adela visited her abuela. She told him something about Pig and that she wanted to have something done about him.

Madrid: Miguel and his friend were attacked by the men in hoodies.

Miami: Howard entered a police car, laughing.

Thank you, UA.

Wondering where this is all headed.I am guessing that after the mayhem is over and Mig is on the straight and narrow path , we will see some match ups at the finale....Adele and Mig...Ishiro and Chi...Kenia and Jorge.

The idea of Chisca and Ishiro doesn't work for me. Her background makes her sound right until you take her lack of self-discipline into account. What do the Yakuza do to indiscreet family members and spouses?

Would the Yakuza even allow him to marry a non-Japanese woman? I somehow think not.

I don't remember this, but where was Dora when Valentin left Chisca with the overdose? If she wasn't there does she know? Would she take him out if she knew?

My biggest question now is when is Miguel ever going to realize that Valentin is a slimeball?

No matter what else happens I think Howard will end up looking like an idiot.

Thanks, UA.

Chisca and Valentin canoodle in the presence of a decanter of 100 proof liquid.

Yes, the decanter was the far more appealing element in that scene.

Howard isn't the hero here, but I'm impressed that he wasn't cowed by Mig's taunting that his kinky preferences jeopardize his job at the IRS. Howard is still determined to nail Mig.

Mig is mistaken that the would-be muggers are amateurs. After knocking them out, I thought he would've at least gone through their pockets for an I.D. Two-bit muggers don't usually target buff 6 footers.

Adela wondering if Mig is or will cheat. Asya's Mig didn't cheat on her I'm sure, but this Mig compartmentalizes and justifies, so I'm sure this Mig will be with Karina, Jimena, the Serbian chick, etc. if need be to pursue a business deal.

UA, Chisca is such a snob. She's flirting with Ishiro, but I'm thinking she believes she's too high society for him. What a joke.

Mig is, indeed, a he-ho. Why does Adela want a he-ho. Who would want a guy like that? Not me. Ever. Never ever.

Thanks you UA!

I don't like the idea of Ishiro and chisca either. She is too much of a ditz and has burned her bridges. I think she may even do a lot more burning before this is over.

Niecie, I too was pleasantly surprised that Howie didn't fall for Mig's blackmail scheme. I am still baffled how the US IRS is investigation a foreigner. HOwie first learned about Mig when he was investigating the Russians. Now he is obsessed with Mig...juarever!

UA, Dora was still back in Ciudad Jimenez when Chisca OD'd. IIRC, Jorge only told Chisca about Val running out on her, but Val made some sorry excuse about panicking and Chisca fell for it. I don't recall Jorge telling Mig or anyone else about it. It would be good if Dora knew, she just might do us the favor of making Val-ueless disappear.

Urban, thank you so much. I had a hard time myself keeping track of where everyone was at. It was mind blowing all the back and forth.

This guy Howard the IRS guy, I find the whole plot on that so stupid. The writers should do their homework on what the IRS actually does. Unless someone didn't file tax returns on income earned in the USA, then the IRS is not interested in anyone outside the country who launders their monies if it is not "earned" under U.S. jurisdiction. What the writers should have been writing about is the DEA, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration's Foreign Operations.

Urban, I wonder too if Miguel will ever realize that his "friend" Val is a slimeball who not only is using his younger sister, but is actively working against him to steal information.

Susanlynn, I agree. Mig is a "he-ho" and I would not want to be with him either. He's been with so many women that I would tell him to go get tested for STDs and other "critters." LOL...
