'Twas the day before Christmas, when all through Caray,
Not a commenter was stirring, not even a lurker;
The recaps were posted by the recappers with care,
In hopes that Caraymates soon would be there;
The readers were nestled all snug in their chairs;
While visions of Chocolate frosted pretzels danced in their heads;
And blog mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a snarktastic recap.
When out on the patio there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my seat to see what was the matter.
Away to the patio tables I flew like a flash,
Checked every comment but there was no trash.
The patios were empty as you all know,
Giving Caray a day that was slow,
When what to my wondering eyes did appear,
Wonderful wishes from far and near,
With those little fingers so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment that everyone would be back.
More rapid than eagles the friends they came,
And I whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:
"Now, Judy! now, Diana! now Doris, Susanlynn and Anita!
On, Andy! on, Kirby, Jardinera, Niecie and Jarifa!
To the top with Urban, Cynthia and Clara
Along with Alexander, Ester, Jarifa and Novelera!
Now dash away, Amotelenovelas, AnonFri, Steve, and Nina,
Dash away all with Victoria, Dondi, and Deb, and La Paloma!"
So back in the patios, we all flew,
With the table full of nerfballs, and Hopeos too—
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the blog
The dancing and laughing of each one I knew.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
The comments came with a bound.
All full of insight and snark to boot,
And some of the characters deserved some nerfazos;
But all we could do is cross our brazos,
And settle in our chairs and our brains do rack.
Since everything seems to be out of whack,
To figure out what the writers had in store
And hope that the next episode is not a bore.
We all sprang to our screens to see the next show
But the powers that be had said, “No Go!”
And away we all went to wait through the night.
Until the next day when TNs would be back in our sight—
“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!”

What a wonderful poem RGV CHICK...and believe me, I noticed those frosted pretzels! Hope that everyone survived Christmas and got through the holidays without any family blow-ups. Wishing everyone only good things and good times for the year to come. And should there be some setbacks, wishing you faith, hope and resilience. Fall down 7 times, get up 8 as the wise men say.
 

Great take on Twas the Night. Thanks for that! I also hope that all went well. Today is Boxing Day and many of us are back to work this week. And so it goes...Judy, yep. We all get up again to do battle against it all, amiga..... = /:?))
