Bloodied, Battered and Beaten Part 1
Few stories encompass a father’s fierce love more than “The Champ”. There was Wallace Beery and Jackie Coogan, then Jon Voight and Ricky Schroder. Men who would live for and would die for their son. A devotion so all encompassing, so deep there was nothing they would not do to keep their child safe. And secure. A man and his son. One of the most heart rendering love stories ever told. Will Jose Ron and Patricio de la Garza join these ranks? Only time will tell.
We begin with a flashback, Ringo and Ariel “El Turco” in the ring. A quick scene of a contemplative Ringo, distracted, thoughts elsewhere. Little was the audience aware that this was the worst night of Ringo’s life; his brother had passed away and he was defending his title against El Turco, who happens to be the man his wife left him for. He said, “Little did I know that the fight of my life was just starting.” Regrettably, Ringo is getting pummeled. The knockout punch is delivered shortly thereafter, confirmed by the thick, red blood oozing from Ringo’s mouth.
A time lapse. Ringo is the model at an art class where most of the students are professional, seemingly not the least bit distracted by his nudity. There is however, one notable exception. Brenda, casting far from covert lustful looks his way, can hardly contain her enthusiasm or her expression of awe. We however, are privy to nothing.
Santiago bonds with his father Ringo and grandmother, Teresa.
Javier "Gavilán Machaca" (our beloved Pierre Louis) is being trained by the gruff yet heart of gold trainer, Oscar ( César Évora. An aspiring young woman pleads with Oscar to train her – she wants to fight. She gives a good audition but the answer is no. She is persistent and returns to plead her case but alas, still receives a red light.

Bloodied, Battered and Beaten Part 2
Oscar does not seem pleased with Javier who appears may have hurt his hand.
Elsewhere, a young boy is having asthma attack. Doctora Julia Garay flags down Ringo on his motorcycle. He takes the boy to a hospital where he is treated.
In court, Ringo faces his ex-wife Gloria and her lover Ariel. There is a heated exchange and money demanded. I believe that Ringo paid for the care of the asthmatic child (please correct me if I’m wrong) so there is little money to be proffered. It appears Ringo’s attorney Alejo (Arturo Carmona) is also a fighter and member of Oscar’s team.
The judge shows little patience and threatens to have custody given to Santiago’s mother. Oscar is completely supportive of Ringo. Ringo and Santiago have quality bonding time.
Doctor Julia brings Ringo his jacket back. Ahhh. The lascivious blonde, Brenda, is the good doctora’s sister. Uh oh. Well, this will be interesting!
Ringo smiles as he fondles the doctor’s card. Little time for wistful dreams of romance as the social worker arrives. Mom proudly espouses her son’s virtues. I gather the house isn’t the issue, but is perhaps Ringo’s lack of a more substantial job then showing his abs. And much, much more.
Ringo shows up at doctor’s house but Brenda greets him. Meanwhile his ex-Gloria shows up at his house as lambasting and humiliating him in court wasn’t enough.
We also meet Ringo’s prima, Eva as well as Diego, Julia’s sleazy, smarmy fiancee who I believe “handles” El Turco.
Fight time has arrived. The two teams are revving up. Javier’s and Ariel’s.
Bright lights flash and a lot of showmanship (or showing off in the case of El Turco) ensues. The audience is pumped and a crowd has gathered at Teresa’s.
Initially, El Turco is dodging every single punch Javier is throwing. Ariel moves tantalizingly around the ring and seems to be toying with him. Finally, a punch lands and Javier seems hurt at what is only a preemptive strike. Oscar yells and for a few moments, Javier seems to be in control, his punches hitting their mark. Then, you can actually see the fury enveloping Ariel who comes at Javier with unabated anger. He is livid. Every hit finds its mark and the fight continues far too long. By the time Oscar enters the ring and stops it, Javier is bloody and motionless on the floor..
Julia answers the call for a doctor. But can anything be done or is it too late?
Diana
Hi All.
I decided to do this very last minute. Not understanding Spanish, having recaps, especially at the beginning are important to me as they set the stage for me to understand what transpires thereafter.
Please feel free to add or correct. At least this will get us started!
I really like this and despite the theme think it will be much lighter fare than Cuna and other recent offerings.
Diana
I am not sure about this one yet. It is just so testosterone driven that it reminds me of “Qué bonito amor” where there were a group of young (insecure) men who felt it necessary to “prove themselves” as members of the mariachi band. Here it seems much of the same but in the boxing ring. The good thing is the more boxing, the less dialogue that has to be dealt with. It definitely is lighter fare.
I got a kick out of Televisa advertising itself as the title fight channel.
What a surprise seeing so many females at the fight . . . Like Brenda and Julia and their cousin (?)
With Iván and Diego being fans of El Turco, boxing seems to encompass everyone in the plot.
All I can say is poor Ringo: he lost his title and his wife to El Turco.
I think it is 50/50 to whether Javier recovers from his brain hemorrhage.
It was good seeing César Évora again.
Jorge Poza playing Diego who, I think is destined to be a rat because he is a supporter of El Turco and Julia’s boyfriend, looks exactly like he did in “El hotel de los secretos”. The jacket and his styling seemed a bit dated . . . Maybe even to the early 20th century. .. . Like in “El Hotel”
That is all for now. .
Diana, what a wonderful surprise! Thank you so much for starting this off and, of course, your prologue is as inspired as always. I watched " The Champ" and LOVED it! When I first read about this TN, that movie along with Kramer vs. Kramer came to mind.
I'm really like this TN. Jarifa, despite the testerone level, I think that Ringo fighting for his son will be well worth the watch. And I certainly didn't mind seeing Ringo posing for the art students! RAWWRRR!! :-D
Just to add a bit more...
During the hearing, the judge reminded Ringo that he needed to pay 3000 pesos and bring proof that he had a stable job. Alejos had 900 pesos and Ringo was supposed to bring the rest, but when he took the little boy to the hospital, he covered the boy with his jacket…where he had the money.
Just a slight correction. Eva is Julia’s and Brenda's cousin. She is interested in Javier; and he was with her the night before the fight. He hurt his hand because some guy made a pass at her and he was trying to defend her.
Rosa is the girl who wants to become a boxer. She is desperate to make money by boxing because she has a little girl and wants to provide a nice little home for her. She had a friend who came to the city and earned money that way so she wants to do the same. She came looking for “Oso” (Cesar Evora) because she heard he was the best, but he refuses to train her because he does not work with women.
Brenda must have some type of psychological problem because Julia mentioned that she was seeing a therapist; and Brenda told Ivan, her father, that she and Ringo had conversed extensively and that he asked her out...which he did not! He didn't even recognize her when she greeted him at her house!
I like Teresa, Ringo’s mom. She managed to slip in that Ringo needed a job when Julia was present. Julia asked her father to contact Ringo to offer him a job, but Ringo refused until the social worker showed up and reminded him that he needed a stable job. Now, Ringo is working for the Garays as a security guard. Now that will be interesting!
Jarifa, I didn't see "Hotel" but I did see Jorge Poza in 'El Vuelo de la Victoria" and he was a slimy rat there too!
Rgv Chick, thank you for the critical details you so generously provided (including the quote I used in the recap)! You and Judy are and have been the angels who have my back.
Brenda lying about Ringo was something I did not pick up on at all.
I like Teresa too, and the actress that portrays her very much as well.
I certainly hope that this isn't the last we see of Javier...
Jarifa, it was great seeing César Évora again. Those dulcet tones...Also, I laughed at your comment about Diego "The jacket and his styling seemed a bit dated . .". To me, he was immediately unlikeable and had his mustache been a bit longer expected him to twirl it any minute :). I hope you stay with this!
And Rgv Chick, I thought Ringo's modeling was done very tastefully. Alas, no towel malfunction last night!
So, due to snow and poor visibility, I am working from home today. I just wasn't up to a 2-3 hour commute in. Haven't heard back from my manager who likely isn't pleased but that's life.
Ringo is going to be fun!
Diana
Well my granddaughter isn't feeling well , and my daughter asked if she could stay with me today, so I must cancel an appointment and then get her breskfast. I will stop back later.
Wow Diana. No one can write a prologue like you:
Few stories encompass a father’s fierce love more than “The Champ”. There was Wallace Beery and Jackie Coogan, then Jon Voight and Ricky Schroder. Men who would live for and would die for their son. A devotion so all encompassing, so deep there was nothing they would not do to keep their child safe. And secure. A man and his son. One of the most heart rendering love stories ever told. Will Jose Ron and Patricio de la Garza join these ranks? Only time will tell.
As I've said before, that is not a recap; it's literature. Also loved the title and this:
" I gather the house isn’t the issue, but is perhaps Ringo’s lack of a more substantial job then showing his abs. And much, much more."
Hah! Nobody loves a six-pack more than I do, so I will have to try and watch this. I was busy last night reading madly to get ready for a Book Club meeting Thursday. So probably will not have time until then. But bless you for getting this started. You are a doll to do this after a full day's work and nightmare commute. Do want to join you in watching this so I will do my best to get this book read pronto!
OT
Susanlynn, if I were sick there'd be no place I'd rather be than Grandma Susanlynn's home I'm sure. TLC and then some. Thank goodness your daughter has you to turn to when her girls are ill.
RgvChick, I have to admit Ringo was a better sight to behold than I had imagined.
Susanlynn, this does seem to be a more traditional telenovela story. That could be a good thing.
JudyB, yes, those book clubs can get in the way of novela viewing but do make us “life long learners” over a variety of media and experiences. I have this book I haven’t touched yet for a book club next week . . .
I like having a novela at 7:00 CST.
I read somewhere this is 82 episodes which would be a good length.
I had to think of the Rocky movies and then Muhammad Ali and the roper dope. Will they ever call for “the cutter”? LOL
susanlynn, so glad you are watching! Yes, this looks like a TN from a few years ago with an actual love story and non stop action. I know you will take very loving care of your granddaughter and I pray you find the spiritual strength and comfort that you need.
Judy, I think you are going to like this! Silvia Mariscal is Ringo's mother whom I know we both emjoy. Otto Sirgo is here too! Thank you for your always kind and oh so supportive comments. Yes, I say laughing, I find a six-pack (of abs) great fun as well.
Jarifa, I laughed out loud at "I have to admit Ringo was a better sight to behold than I had imagined". Honestly? When I heard it was Jose, I thought, gee, I've seen a lot of him lately. But I guess not nearly enough as evidenced on the modeling pedestal. It's good to laugh!
Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments and at 82 episodes, this sounds just about right.
Diana
Oh and Jarifa, i think there was a "cutter" in Rocky, wasn't there? I remember a husky voiced Burgess Meredith yelling at someone to do that to the hapless Rocky!

Tufan waits at the door and finally goes in to see Emir. ETERNO face says they have a very busy day ahead and he wants to know why he didn’t get Zeynep to abort. Tufan replies that Asu was there. Emir gets intrigued. “Why was Asu there?” Emir demands to know. Tufan simply says that the clinic has a lot of doctors. Emir dismisses him because he claims to have many things to do for now. Tufan wants to know first if he has any suspicions and would like to give a name up for investigation. Emir says “Nothing.” Tufan leaves, rather disappointed. Meanwhile Emir was in ETERNO face mode and then calls the gynecologist to ask about Asu Alacahan. The doctor reveals that she had her first appointment today. Emir says “Perfect” and continues to space out in thought.
Galip closes the laptop on Onder, who was replaying the surveillance footage. Onder asks if he has nothing to say. Galip doesn’t want to speak to him about this because he feels that there’s a spy amongst them. Onder asks if he really thinks it’s him. Galip remembers that he had threatened him before regarding Leyla and Mujan, so it’s logical that he won’t trust him now. Vildan enters the living room wants to know what’s happening. Galip explains it all and adds that Onder is the reason Leyla got her house back. Turning his attention attention back to Onder, he asks why he has no shame in being with his wife and yet pinning for the sister?
Kemal is in Zehir’s “office” and they’re drinking tea. They are discussing the accident, and Kemal is suspecting Emir’s brother. “I thought he was our ally,” Kemal says, “we need to know who he is.” Zehir is willing to find him. Kemal says he wants to find out who he is, before Emir does.
Asu and Zeynep are together in Kemal’s living room. She texts Tufan for information but he has none. Ozan eventually shows up at the door and came to see if he can convince Zeynep to go back home. Asu excuses herself and Zeynep invites Ozan into the house. Ozan starts begging her not to leave him, that they’ve always been together. Zeynep says that not even the baby can bring them back together now. Everyone makes her life difficult, even Emir. Ozan wants to know what Emir has done. She says that Emir is always disrespecting her. She then gets frustrated and sits on the couch, to tell him that “Our marriage is feeling fake, while Nihan and Emir’s got real.” Ozan offers to speak with Emir. Zeynep brushes him off and says that she needs to think about this. Ozan says that her brother must be very happy. She asks Ozan to leave, and he does, saying “Please think about me.” Ozan calls Kemal to reproach him for his failing marriage. Kemal quickly puts him in his place and says “I’m only interested in my sister’s wellbeing, and obviously you didn’t make her happy. No one commits abortion over a situation like this.” Ozan starts walking back to Zeynep.
(2)
Fehime calls Zeynep to ask about Banu’s relationship with Emir. Zeynep claims that Emir is no longer seeing her and wants to know why Fehime is asking. Fehime says “You’ll soon know.”
Ozan comes back to Kemal’s house and demands to know why Zeynep wanted to commit an abortion. She doesn’t deny it and tells him that if she is to return to the Sezin house, everyone will have to beg her for an apology. She closes the door on him. Ozan knocks and tells her through the glass that everyone will ask her for an apology and will regret what they’ve done. Zeynep stares at him leave, mildly satisfied.
Tariq requests that Banu meet his family. She’s unsure because she thinks they won’t like her. Tariq says there won’t be any problem because he’ll present her as the love of his life. He thinks his mother would love her too. Banu reluctantly agrees to dinner at the Soydere home tonight.
Asu is driving home, but talking to her uncle on the phone. She wants to know who tried killing Emir, and they’re both worried that Emir will directly come for them now. Hakki then calls Nasif (Tufan’s minion) and wants him to come over, but without telling Asu or Tufan where he’s going. Nasif agrees.
Emir gets into his car and wants to investigate Asu Alacahan. He drives off somewhere.
Hussein is calling Tariq’s cell phone with the dying ring tone, while Fehime is in the background. He wants to know if his son is ok. Tariq smiles and says he’s ok, that he’ll be over for dinner. Hussein hangs up and tells Fehime, who tries rushing out of the home to speak to someone. Hussein tells her not to be so hard, because Banu is a good person. Fehime doesn’t seem moved and continues out the door.
Leyla is painting in her patio, listening to music. Vildan comes and interrupts. She recognizes the CD, but Leyla says it’s actually a new disk. Vildan begins to talk about their mother cleaning the home with lavender water. Leyla gets impatient and asks her what she wants. Vildan says that Leyla will not take Onder away as part of her revenge. Leyla sarcastically says that if they have a signed contract, would she believe her? As soon as Onder appears, Vildan says that she has her reasons for not believing her sister. Leyla gets even more impatient and aggravated: she wants to know why everyone is visiting her unannounced. Onder says he came to see how Leyla was doing. Vildan loudly says “I’ve fulfilled my promise. I didn’t participate in the auction, I didn’t buy the house and I won’t fight you for it, but you forgot your promise.” She turns to Onder and continues telling Leyla “You only have the house because I made a deal with Onder. He’s your hero. Sorry, but you’re only living in this house because of a deal I’ve made with my husband. Enjoy the house.” Onder looks miffed and stares at Vildan out of the corner of his eye as she walks past him. Leyla gets up and throws them both out. She doesn’t want to listen to Onder at all.
Hakki tells Nasif that he wants him to follow Tufan. Nasif wants to know why. Hakki claims that Tufan has been very distracted lately and might commit an error, and when he does he’ll get in the way of his revenge. If it happens, he’ll have to kill them all. He sends Nasif off, but Nasif has the nagging feeling and tells Hakki he has to tell him something important first.
Fehime is at Kozcouglu Holding, waiting to see Banu. She’s announced and Banu accepts to see her. She exits her office and happily welcomes Fehime in the hallway, extending her hand out but Fehime is stone cold and doesn’t acknowledge it. She callously says “You want everyone here to listen to what I have to say to you?” Banu immediately takes her into her office. Fehime wants to clear something up with her: “I’m Tariq’s mother, he’s my eldest son, he used to work with his father all the time and never failed him, that is until he started working here in Kozcouglu holding. I don’t think that has something to do with you?” Banu says that she’s known Tariq for a short time but she knows she loves him. Fehime ignores that and says she’s aware about her prior relationship with Emir. She calls Banu immoral for having been Emir’s lover: “I’ll never accept my daughter in law to be blemished with Emir Kozcouglu.” She adds that If Emir didn’t take her seriously, why would Tariq if he knows she’s already been used by his boss? Fehime leaves and Banu starts to cry. Emir sees Fehime leave and asks if she’s ok and if there’s something he can help her with. Then he sees Banu exit her office in tears. Fehime says “I’ve fixed it already.” Emir mentions that a mother’s love can always be so cutthroat. She’s unfazed and rudely leaves.
Emir gets a phone call and goes to his office to check his gmail to access information on Asu. He seemed impressed that she’s studied in London, and continues delving into the files.
Leyla visits Galip. She wants to clear up that she knows she got her house back because of Onder. Galip tells her that Vildan tried by all measures to take back the house, but that Leyla won it back fair and square. Leyla says that she’s been through worse things before, and there may be things she can teach him. She offers Galip a pact: she wants to have as much power as Onder and Vildan. Galip is intrigued, but she chooses to leave and let him think it over. Outside in the hallway, Onder watches her exit as he was waiting to see Galip. When he enters the office, he asks Galip if he said something to make Leyla upset. Galip tells him that in reality Leyla has been the one seeking him out and that their relationship is going much easier now.
Kemal is still speaking to Zehir about the accident. Zehir says that everyone in the town is discussing it. Kemal wants to know when the ambulance was called. Zehir gives him the precise number. Kemal then wants to know who called. Zehir responds that they don’t know. They both agree that if they can get to this person first, they will find Emir’s brother.
Galip and Emir are watching the surveillance footage of the car tailing Emir straight to the school. Emir chides himself for not noticing, and Galip reprimands him for always thinking about Nihan. Emir asks for the license plate number. Galip gives him the information, but doesn’t want him to do something stupid. Emir tells him not to worry. Before he leaves he says “There was Cain and Abel, lets see which son you’ll lose.”
Emir calls someone to give him the information of the car. He demands him to investigate everything about the person who rented it.
Hakki is questioning Tufan about the accident. Asu reluctantly asks “it wasn’t us?” Hakki says that if they wanted Emir done, they would have finished him off already. But he wants to bring down the Kozcouglus as a whole first, and that this accident was not in the plans at all. Asu starts to mildly panic and stresses that aside from Emir, they have Kemal investigating her identity too. Tufan says that he loves her and promises he’ll protect her from Emir. Hakki then thinks back to Nasif confessing that Tufan planned the accident. Hakki asked if he helped him too and received an affirmative response. In the present, Hakki shrewdly asks Tufan one more time if he’s involved in that accident. Tufan swears he isn’t. Hakki mentions that Asu is in danger, to get the truth out of him. Tufan swears that he’ll protect her. Just then, Asu gets a call from Emir and she doesn’t know what to do. Her uncle tells her to answer it. Emir asks if she’s busy because he wants to get coffee with her. Hakki shakes his head at her so that she declines the invite. She tells him that it’s late, and Emir says that she’s rejecting a great invitation that would have lead to a good partnership. Asu wants to know where they will meet, and Emir says he’ll wait for her to come downstairs.
Asu eventually goes outside and meets Emir. He opens his door but she says that whatever he wants to tell her will be done right there. Emir cuts the show and wants to know how it is that Asu knew Zeynep was going to that specific clinic. Asu claims that Zeynep gave her the information. Emir doesn’t accept that answer because she was there prior to Zeynep getting into the lobby. He starts to ask who she is. Asu plays his game and wants to know who he thinks she is, but Emir wants to get the response straight from her mouth.
Tufan gets aggravated watching Emir put his hand on Asu. He’s about to go downstairs but Hakki tells him to wait.
Asu demands that he let her go. Kemal shows up and asks him what he’s doing. Asu says everything is ok, that the accident left Emir confused. Kemal demands Emir to never get near Asu again. Emir finds it funny that Kemal is afraid he’ll take Asu away from him too. Kemal gets protective and tells him never to bother Asu again. Emir warns her that Kemal is defective in the heart, and she can’t ever trust him as her ally. He gets into his car and drives off. Kemal asks Asu why he was here, and she says Emir suspects she’s behind the accident. Kemal says he will protect her and Asu takes the moment to become the damsel in distress. She asks him not to leave her alone and hugs him, tearing up. Kemal looks a little uncomfortable.
Tufan watches Asu hug Kemal and says “and he becomes the hero again.” Hakki asks if he has a problem with that. Tufan replies no, but is visibly jealous. Hakki requests that he leave through the stairs and take the back exit, so that Kemal won’t see him. Tufan is very displeased.
Looks like we're going to have quite an awesome rockin' patio! Diana, I'm so glad you opted to work from home today. I've never driven in snow/sleet, but I know it is treacherous.
Diana, I agree, Ringo's modeling was done very tastefully. I just wish I had been one of those art students :-)
Susanlynn, I'm really excited about this TN. It is a nice change back to what we had been used to for so long. I hope your granddaughter feels better; and I'm sure she will since she is with you.
JudyB, so you didn't watch last night. OOOH My! you missed an eyeful! So I've added some screenshots so that you can salivate along with me :-) I've also added more to the character's descriptions.
Jarifa, the timing for this TN is perfect for me too!
I can see where we are going to have one heck of a sibling rivalry since Julia and Ringo are sure to be star-crossed lovers, but Brenda has her delusional eyes set on Ringo.
Diana, yes, Rocky’s eye was swollen shut so the cutter was called. I never forgot that. Loved Burgess Meredith in that one.
RgvChick, so well said that “Brenda has her delusional eyes set on Ringo.”
How can I possibly be so hot in this freezing weather??? Your screen shot Rgv Chick. I'm speechless.
And thank you for your list of characters! I learned so much and especially loved "boyfriend and slimy rat". HA! I didn't realize Turco and Gloria are married. And Oscar Bonfiglio is another favorite I forgot to mention earlier. It takes me a while to learn the characters but now there is this marvelous list to refer to. Thank you for always adding your wise, witty and marvelous humor.
Diana
Diana, what a pleasant surprise to see your recap! Loved your opening on fathers fighting to protect their sons. Terrific storytelling. Glad you decided to work at home, rather than risk dealing with the foul weather up your way. Stay safe.
Rgv Chick, thanks for the cast list and that screenshot of Ringo modeling. After that scene last night, I wondered if Ringo looked as good as I thought he did -- he sure does.
Cesar Evora is perfect as the gruff boxing trainer.
Susanlynn, I hope your granddaughter feels better soon. Your grandkids are blessed to have you.
Well, autocorrect changed "Ringo" to " fun to" ..twice. Why does autocorrect hate me?
Chickie, I missed Ringo posing for the art class so.....thank you. A thing of beauty is a joy forever...Keats, i think wrote that.
Looking forward to tonight's episode as well as the awesome group assembled in the caray family room to watch this show.
I saw Rocky, but I do not remember the "cutting"
Nana and Nieta are watching the Disney channel .
I thought it interesting that we have 4 of the main male characters from "Enamorandome de Ramon" here (Jose Ron, Pierre Louis, Arturo Carmona and Alfredo Gattica). Are they a package deal? And where is Fabiola (Esmeralda Pimentel) and Cute Mute (Claudia Martin)? It would have be really funny if they had been in this too.
Diana, just run outside for a bit to cool off. LOL
Susanlynn, "Well, autocorrect changed "Ringo" to " fun to" ..twice." Well "Ringo" = "fun to (watch)" Makes sense to me! LOL
Niecie, I luv Cesar Evora too and am looking forward to his role on this.
Hi Niecie! So happy to see your comment. "Cesar Evora is perfect as the gruff boxing trainer" was exactly right...
Rgv Chick, great comment on the "Ramon" connection. Lots of talent (and hawtness) in that package :) Seriously, I'm glad they are all working as so many TN actors aren't - Colunga among others.
I do miss Esmerelda, Ariadne Díaz and a few other actresses. Michele Renaud is fortunately still around but it would be nice to see them too.
Diana
WOW, that fahime has the gall to tell
Some Body they are unfit to be with her son or her daughter. Her daughter Is a slut & her son is a cold Blooded
Killer. I really want somebody to bust her sanctimonious bubble. I would take banu over zeynep any day of the week.
At least she's regretful, zeynep's not
Sorry about nothing she's done. And as far as revenge against emir goes her concerned about that has flown out the sick twisted window that is her brain.
Kemal is lookin kind of defeated. He's
Just tired of fighting alone. Zehir is
There but he's not in love with him.
With less than 3 weeks left, somethin
Gotta give. Look like the bad guys have had the upper hand the whole time
This show has been on. What gives?
Tufan is pitiful. Iam over him. He has
No purpose on Here, just fodder. Just
Allows himself to be pimped out to the lowest bidder. And these people he works for are the lowest.
The storyline with vildan,onder,Leyla
Not that interesting. Still don't like
Galip.
The only two people Im really interest
ed in is nihan & kemal. Really just kemal. That's the prettiest man I've seen in a long time.
Well thems my thoughts on the matter.
Ok, Happy holidays. Thank you AnonFri.
Diana, thank you for your recap. I'm watching this over lunch (on Demand) and I have to admit I like it. Well, except for the fight scenes. The movie Raging Bull did me in, back in 1980, and since then I avoid fight and boxing movies because...ew. Well, I did go see Million Dollar Baby. Oy.
Maybe I can squeeze this in and sort of half-@ss watch it. We'll see.
doris, I really hope you can squeeze this in. I think it has a lot of promise.
And yes, while Raging Bull was memorable in and of itself, I made the mistake of seeing Million Dollar Baby as well. Beyond tragic.
I am just telling myself the fighting is not real and so far it seems to be working. Shallow to admit I know but the "scenery" is just too magnificent to ignore. Kind of like our days watching the fabulous Baker Boyz in Fuego en la Sangre, no? :0
Diana
I did not get a chance to watch all of this. But that first part was kind of
Reminesant of a rocky movie, only he
Came back a winner. That guy looked dead. He would not wake up. Getting
Beaten in the head like that....why do
People choose that particular career?
Cuz they believe they can do it. Like that young woman that wants to support
Her little girl. It would be horrible if she dies from the first blow in the
Head.
Now that I see the screen shot of Jose
In his birthday suit I'm gonna have to
Go back and look at that. Of course it
Is tasteful, the down under parts are
Covered by an esle? Yeah an else and his thigh & hand. Some folks seem to be comfortable nude before others.
God bless em. Lol.
Ok, to see how this turns out.
Nina, I agree with you about Fehime. She shouldn’t be throwing stones in her glass house. She’s be ashamed to find out what her two kids have done.
I also think Kemal has been looking rather tired lately. Now he has Asu added into his responsibilities, and when he finds out she’s the Kozcouglu sibling, would he feel pressured to marry her? Under the guise of protection?
Hakki must have something planned out for Tufan. He lied to his face several times.
I’m also getting tired of Leyla, Vildan and Onder. Leyla sometimes just doesn’t know what she’s getting into.
RINGO
I didn’t expect this one to be as interesting as it was last night. Brenda seems like a nightmare waiting to happen. And Gloria dumped Ringo for Turco? Why didn’t she take her son with her in the first place? I’m guessing she just wants him to torture Ringo.
Turco is a jerk hopefully someone beats him at his own game.
Julia looks more like a Fernanda for some reason.

Hi Nina. I suspect boxing isn't the first career choice for most but brute strength does need an outlet and provides a livelihood for some...yes, Rgv Chick's photo showed everything and nothing (darn it! :)
Anon, I think it was easier for Gloria to leave without her child in tow. Not sure if she is regretting it or does have some dormant, now awakening motherly instincts after all.

Ep 2: Scuffles, Feathers Ruffled and Ringo Is Coming Back!
We start off with Ringo threatening Turco that if makes a come back, he will do so to finish Turco off. With bugged out eyes, Turco mocks Ringo as Ringo’s allies lead him away.
At his office, Ivan worries because Turco is a beast! Diego assures him that they will have to clean up Turco’s image, but Ivan has doubts after last night, no one will want to fight him. Just then, Diego gets a call and is told about the confrontation between Ringo and Turco.
At the boxing club, Damasio (another EDRamon veteran!) thinks that Ringo was not serious about making a comeback, but Alejos thinks they should wait and see since Ringo sounded very serious. Inside the dressing room, Ringo convinces Osos that he wants to return to boxing. Osos assures him that they will do it TOGETHER! Osos goes out and everyone cheers when he assures them that “they” are making a comeback!
Turco calls Diego and is worried because everyone is talking badly about him. He insists that they need to work on giving him a positive image.
At the Garay house, Julia asks Ringo about Javier and also wonders how Ringo is. Ringo is feeling bad because he met Javier when he was 13 years old. Ringo got Javier to stop drinking and took him to the boxing club to make him a boxer…but boxing brought an ending to Javier. As Julia gives Ringo a consoling hug, Diego arrives and questions why Julia is giving the guard a hug. After Julia calms him down, Ringo gets a call about Santi being sick, so Julia offers to take him…that way she can check Santi.
Oso agrees to allow Rosa into the boxing club…but only to watch. Rosa is ecstatic and assures Osos that she understands that she will only watch.
After Julia checks Santi, she tells Ringo that Santi started feeling ill right after the boxing match. Santi also confided in her and asked her to tell his mother that Ringo takes very good care of him. Outside, Ringo chides Guanchi for having called Gloria. After Julia leaves, Gloria arrives and demands to see her son.
Damasio brings Oso a document sent by the boxing association who is recommending a young man, Rafael, to be trained. Oso refuses, but when Damasio reminds him that his cooperation will ensure that the association will help him with Ringo’s comeback, Oso agrees.
Gloria goes in to see Santi who assures her that he is fine…he doesn’t have a fever. Gloria insists that Santi go live with her, but Santi wants to stay with Ringo. After Gloria leaves, Ringo assures Santi that he will not go live with his mother; Ringo promises that Santi will live with him. Ringo them brings up Santi’s stomach ache, so Santi admits that he worries that something will happen to Ringo. When Santi asks if Ringo is going to box again, Ringo admits that he is after Santi tells him that he wants him to return to boxing.
Brenda is all in a tither because she can’t find Ringo and thinks he was fired. After Julia tells her that he had to go home because his son was ill Brenda calls Ringo. After she asks how he is feeling about Javier, she tells him that she would like to hug and console him. Ringo can count on her for ANYTHING!
Ep 2, Part 2: Scuffles, Feathers Ruffled and Ringo Is Coming Back!
At the boxing club, Rafa has shown Osos some of his moves which Oso thinks aren’t too bad. Oso tells him to be there the next morning…and he’d better be on time. Just then, Javier’s mom, Maria, goes for his things. She cries as Oso hugs her. Ringo arrives and asks her bout Javier. The mom tells him that he is better but he will need a lot of therapy; she doesn’t know how she will be paying for it and asks about medical insurance. Ringo offers to talk to Alejos so that he can go see Javier.
At night, Gloria and Turco arrive at the Garay house and laugh when they see that Ringo is working there. They mock him before driving in. Once inside, Turco complains because they still haven’t come up with a strategy to clean up his image. His social media page is full of comments calling him a savage. He thinks that if he returns to the Delta Boxing Club where he first trained, it will help his image.
Meanwhile, Gloria goes outside to ask Ringo for a lighter. Ringo suggests that she leave the country with her husband. She tells Ringo that if she leaves she will take her son. As Julia watches from her window, she sees Gloria berating Ringo; they argue and Gloria ends up falling when she tries to push Ringo. Gloria starts yelling so the others come out and Turco chides Ringo for what he has done to his wife. They take Gloria inside where Julia takes a look at her. Turco is still upset and threatens to beat up Ringo. He wonders how Ivan can have him working there. Julia questions Gloria about being pushed since she was looking out the window and saw that Gloria fell on her own. Julia also learns that Gloria is Santi’s mother; and Ivan assures Gloria that this will be Ringo’s last day to work there.
Before leaving, Turco threatens Ringo that he will regret what he did to his wife. Once gone, Brenda comes out; so, Ringo tells her that he did nothing to Gloria. Brenda assures him that she believes in him and thinks Gloria is just being hysterical. Ringo thinks that Ivan will run him off but Brenda assures him that she won’t let that happen.
At the boxing club, Ringo sees that Oso is on the verge of tears. Oso is emotional because they are making a comeback. They spar for a while.
Alejos goes to see Ringo who tells him about the incident with Gloria…so now he is looking for anther job. Ringo then tells Alejos about Javier’s mom being worried about paying for rehab. Alejos has already looked through the files and didn’t find medical insurance, but he will review it once again with Gamboa. Ringo then mentions that was there checking on Santi.
Ringo gets a call from Mario Velasquez who wants to meet with him. Ringo refuses to go see him because he has to take Santi to school.
Teresa talks to one of her friends about Ringo returning to box; she is worried and doesn’t want to lose the only son she has left.
Brenda shows Ivan a recording from the security cameras which prove that Ringo did nothing to Gloria. She rushes off to call Ringo and tell him that he has been cleared.
Alejos calls Ringo and tells him that there is no insurance policy for Javier. Ringo insists that they will have to get the money somehow.
Ringo goes to see Mario who has heard that Ringo is making a comeback. He wants to be his sponsor. He offers to give him an advance and later they can sign a contract and Ringo can get monthly payments. Ringo wonders why Mario is doing this; so, Mario replies that he likes boxing.
Rafa gets a scolding from his mother because he went to see “that man.” She hopes he didn’t tell him that he is his father. Rafa assures her that he didn’t say anything though he thinks he should have since he had been asking about his father for the past 20 years. The mother explains that she only did it to protect him because the man is very selfish and only thinks of himself. She pleads with Rafa not to say anything, but Rafa thinks he should take the risk. Damasio who is across the street has been watching and is suspicious.
Ep 2, Part 3: Scuffles, Feathers Ruffled and Ringo Is Coming Back!
Brenda calls for Ringo but Alejos answers. After Brenda asks him to tell Ringo to call her, Alejos wonders when she will agree to go have coffee with him. She hesitantly agrees.
Ringo goes to see Maria who is on her way to go see Javier. He gives her the money that Mario gave him so she can pay for Javier’s rehab.
Julia talks to a woman whose husband is sick because he works at the factory Llorente. As long as he keeps working there, he will continue to be sick. As Julia walks away, she gets a call from the secretary of a “licenciado” who tells her that her neighborhood office will be closed due to lack of funding. Suddenly a couple of thugs assault and rob Julia’s purse. Ringo happens by and rushes to her aid. Julia is amazed that he always appears when she needs help. Julia cries because she has been told that her office will be closed; she worries about how she will be able to see her patients.
Ivan calls Brenda and asks her to take some documents to Manuel who is sure to sign them is she is the one who delivers them.
Damasio tells Oso that he saw Rafael talking to a woman. He thinks it was very suspicious.
Ringo takes Julia to see a small room inside the boxing club where she can set up an office and see her patients. After they go inside, Turco arrives and tells Oso that he wants to train there since that is where he became a champion.
Inside, Julia worries that she will be in the way, but Ringo assures her that she is welcome there…and she can also tend to the members when they get hurt.
Gloria calls Ringo and tells him that she will not file a complaint against him. She wants to take Santi out but Ringo tells her that she can take him on her scheduled day. She can see him whenever she wants but it will have to be at his house. After he hangs up. Ringo assures Julia that he did nothing to Gloria. Julia confess that she knows because she was watching him from the window. Ringo is flattered that she was watching him. She wonders why Gloria hates him so; she thinks Gloria still has feelings for him. Ringo assures her that Gloria is fine with Turco and changes the subject when he asks what color she likes.
Outside Oso tries to get Turco to leave, Turco insists. Oso tells him that no one wants him there. Turco reminds him that he is a member there and he has never stopped paying his dues. Whether Oso likes it or not, he will train there!
And there we end...
Good night , All...zzzzzz
The recap was wonderful. There is no detail that escapes your notice. Nothing here that is not outlined to perfection.
I loved the way your conveyed the joy of camaraderie and affection with "Ringo convinces Osos that he wants to return to boxing. Osos assures him that they will do it TOGETHER! Osos goes out and everyone cheers when he assures them that “they” are making a comeback!" Hooray!
I had to smile at "Ivan worries because Turco is a beast!" Yes, and how (and if) he can be tamed seems extremely doubtful. "Turco calls Diego and is worried because everyone is talking badly about him. He insists that they need to work on giving him a positive image". Good luck with that!
Do we know anything about who Mario is other than he is a promoter?
You already have all of the name down pat. I am beyond impressed.I watched Ramon and cannot for the life of me remember who Damasio was there. But you did! So, Oso is Rafa's father? Rafa and Rosa were both in Caer en Tentacion (although I don't remember the character Rosa played there).
I cannot for the life of me see anything in the least bit appealing about Gloria. She and Ringo seemed a complete mismatch. I think Turco would be a bit more menacing if he brought it down a few notches - sometimes a low tone and stare are far more effective than overemotional rants.
I felt for Javier's mother. And of course for Javier.
So the good doctora will be working in close proximity to Ringo. Very promising. But first she will need to ditch her nasty fiancée.
A final question. Are we supposed to like Ivan? I sure don't. :)
Rgv Chick, thank you so much! I referred quite a few times to your list of characters as I'm still trying to assimilate who everyone is. This was simply great!
Diana
OT- Damasio was the security guard at Fabiola’s building. He was in luuurve with Luisa and he was the one who always wore the childish one-piece pjs.
Love the title RGV CHICK, but without seeing it, I get completely confused reading the recap. Have 200 more pages to read for my Book Club, but come Thursday evening, I'm all in. I'll catch up on the episodes and chime in on the comments. Thanks to you and Diana for getting this off to a good start, and I hope you can assemble a team to help you out as this rolls along. It seems to be a nice traditional story with dastardly villains, honorable heroes and a happy ending in store. Just the way we like it!
Diana, yes, there is such good relationship between between Oso and Ringo. It was refreshing to see in the midst of Ringo’s troubled existence.I just wish Oso had been stronger with El Turco. He called him a bully but he should have returned his latest monthly gym payment so he wouldn’t be allowed to train at the gym. I hate when bullies are allowed to run rampant and this one takes himself waaaay too seriously. Of course, if he were not training at the gym , Ringo would even have less opportunities than he does now to run into El Turco. I agree that Diego needs to go ASAP.
I dare ask: Will Ringo be viable in the ring after having been out of it for a couple of years? Is he past his prime? Is Turco at his?
Did Ringo ask Julia what color was her favorite so he can paint her new office “green”?
I didn’t like to hear Santiago ask for reassurance from Ringo that he would never let his mother take him away from him. Can we guess what is coming?
I also didn’t like Ringo taking an advance from Mario Velázquez. Yes, he feels responsible for Javier but Ringo should have gone with his first feeling which was “why?” And walked away. The only way I could see him taking the money would have been to help retain custody of his son.
I liked the security recording clearing Ringo. I felt like I was watching “See No Evil” on ID network. ; )
Judy, yes, "dastardly villains, honorable heroes and a happy ending" should indeed be in store! Can't wait for you to watch...
Jarifa, you ask an excellent question about Ringo's current state of conditioning. While that is not known at the present, I totally agree Turco is definitely at his prime. Have to say, the way some of his head is shaved is distracting and just not attractive (IMHO) although the actor is vey handsome.
And I laughingly agree that I'm no psychic but I also have a feeling little Santiago's future is far from stable at this point.

Ozan is in his room, acting like a spoiled brat. Vildan tries coddling him but he’s unresponsive. Nihan asks him if he’s taken his medicine. He doesn’t care because Zeynep left. He asks his mother to stop being selfish and to think about his happiness. Nihan gets annoyed and tells Vildan that they should leave him alone. In the hallway, Vildan tells Nihan to ask Zeynep to come back to the house, for Ozan. Nihan tells her she’ll speak to Zeynep, but doesn’t look moved at all.
Emir calls Zeynep and she feigns disinterest. He tells her to meet him outside, and she quickly goes, like a dog being called by its owner. Emir says “You thought you’d be safe away from me? You can’t hide away with your brother forever.” Zeynep claims that he broke the contract but he reminds her that she started it. She takes responsibility for that, and claims she will tell everyone the truth. Emir warns her that if he loses Nihan, he’ll make sure Zeynep loses her life. Zeynep simply says Kemal won’t allow that to happen. Emir doesn’t seem fazed and retorts that Kemal isn’t aware that she’s garbage yet. He grabs her roughly and makes her understand that she’s got the most to lose. They part ways.
Meanwhile Nihan saw them together and has a photo as proof. As she’s walking around looking at her phone, Zeynep catches her. She immediately calls Emir to warn him and keeps him on the line to listen in on the conversation. Nihan calls out for Zeynep and wants to know where she’s been. Zeynep makes the bloated fish look and says “this is why I precisely left: you have this need to keep questioning me.” Nihan says “It’s true I don’t trust you at all: you’re a liar. I’ll wait til I get proof and then you won’t be able to deny it anymore.” Zeynep calls her crazy and paranoid, looking for things that don’t exist. Nihan simply tells her not to come back to the house and to stay away from Ozan and everyone else. Zeynep gets mad and says “Don’t mess with my life. I chose to have this baby and will raise it myself. If something happens to the baby, everyone will pay for it. If I lose, everyone will lose too.” Nihan asks her what she’ll threaten her with. Zeynep claims she’s not threatening anyone. Nihan tells her “I don’t know what you’re up to, Zeynep. Stop messing with Ozan. He’s more vulnerable than you think.” She walks away. Zeynep picks up her phone and asks Emir “Do you really think I’m the only one who’s got everything to lose?” Emir still isn’t afraid: “You learned fast, but I’ll still make you fall at any moment.” Zeynep says that if she falls, his marriage is at risk.
Kemal shows up in his white car and sees Nihan walking alone. When he gets out she tells him that she was there to talk to Zeynep. He nods and starts walking away, but she stops him by saying “Emir doesn’t suspect you.” He turns around and looks at her like she’s crazy. She continues “Stop following him, or he’ll think that you’re up to something.” He still doesn’t say anything and she says “I thought so. Goodnight.”
Nihan enters Emir’s despacho and he asks her what’s wrong. She wants to know what he was talking to Zeynep about, moments ago. He claims it was about her reasons for leaving the house. Nihan doesn’t believe him and says that she will find out the truth soon. Emir then gets close to her face and stares into her eyes with his spaced out look. He asks “you changed your perfume? I don’t like it at all.” Nihan tells him “I’ll ask that they clean the whole house with it.” She leaves.
Kemal is in bed, thinking of Nihan. Meanwhile Nihan is in her room drawing herself in Kemal’s arms, enjoying the rain (the scene from the opening credits). As the night gets deeper, she opens her window/door and looks out, wondering if she should go see Kemal.
Kemal is sleeping and soon Nihan appears, touching his chest. He slowly wakes up and realizes she’s there, watching him. She tells him that she couldn’t take it anymore and had to come, that love may conquer everything but one day he’ll understand what she’s doing. “This is a dream?” He asks, confused. She says “Yes, keep loving me.” He tells her “You don’t love me anymore.” She places her head on his chest and asks him to continue sleeping so that she can be there with him, hiding. He demands that she stop talking and leave. She doesn’t, she just continues to tell him to sleep. “I’m hidden in your soul, Kemal. I hope hat you don’t die so that we could always be together.” “You killed me already” he coldly says. “You forgot me?” She curiously asks. “I did. I forgot you. I don’t love you. I don’t love you anymore, Nihan.” He continues to repeat it until he wakes up from the nightmare, all breathless.
The next morning Emir watches Nihan as she’s sleeping. He asks “Why are you smiling?” He lightly calls her name and she wakes up to ask “What do you want?” He says they should go get breakfast. Nihan gets mad and wants to know why he’s bothering her so early. He asks if she was smiling because she was dreaming of Kemal. “What do you care?” She asks. He leaves her room, saying “For you, he is a dream and for me he’s a nightmare.” Bad luck.”
Kemal walks to the well. He pushes aside the wood and yells into the well “Nihan! I don’t love you! I don’t love you!” then he says at a regular volume “I love you so much.” He starts to cry a little and yells her name one more time into the well. When he’s done, he covers it back. As he’s walking away he gets a call from Zehir. “Nayib Boscal” is the name registered to the phone that called the ambulance. He asks Kemal if the name is familiar. Kemal says no, and hangs up.
Emir is on the phone with his new minion, who can’t find anything on the name registered to the car that tailed him prior to the accident. Emir doesn’t care if the person doesn’t have a rap sheet- he wants him to find information on that person, at all costs.
Kemal and Zehir arrive at a house. They knock and a man in a wheelchair answers the door. Kemal asks “Are you Nayib Boscal?” (Couldn’t exactly get the name) The man affirms that’s his name. Kemal asks him if he reported an accident yesterday on the highway. The man asks if that’s a joke; he can’t drive because he’s on a wheelchair. Kemal asks if perhaps he lost his cellphone somewhere? The man gets suspicious and turns it on them by asking if they are the police. Zehir says “Who cares if we are the police?” Kemal chooses to leave and he tells Zehir that the person must be a relative of Mr. Boscal. They drive off.
Nasif is at home watching tv. Mr. Boscal calls him to ask what the heck he’s doing because two men showed up asking for him. Nasif gets alarmed and cuts off his brother, claiming he’s busy at work right now. He calls Hakki for help: he incorrectly tells him that Emir’s men are after him. Hakki tells him to calm down and do as told: “You will call Emir and tell him that you want to meet him, under the guise of revealing him the name of the extortioner. Your life insurance is Nihan Kozcouglu.”
Nihan is speaking to Asu about the school project. Kemal shows up all dazed and said he wasn’t aware there was a meeting. Asu says that Nihan plans for the press release to be on May 25 and asks Kemal if that’s ok with him. He simply says that she make the decision. Nihan asks Kemal if he wants to go over the details of the project. He asks how much time that will take. Nihan chooses to walk out.
Outside in the hallway, Nasif anonymously calls Nihan. He asks if she’s interested in getting the videos showing whether her brother killed Linda or not. Nihan asks “How can I trust you?” Nasif says that she has no other choice: either she wants to see those videos or not. She notices Kemal behind her and when Nasif gives her the address she repeats it outloud, hoping that Kemal may have overheard. When she’s hangs up she doesn’t see him on the staircase and feels alone, but chooses to go on her own. She drives off. It turns out though, that Kemal was watching her from the second floor banister.
Emir gets an anonymous call from Nasif. He gives him an address and says he will personally tell him who the extortioner is. Emir asks “What makes you think I’m going to run out to meet you now?” Nasif looks out his window and smiles because Nihan is outside the warehouse. He tells Emir that he has to show up now because his wife is outside. Emir immediately gets alarmed and chooses to go to the address. He tries calling Nihan first but she doesn’t answer the phone.
Nihan is about to enter the warehouse. Kemal is watching and follows her at a distance. She looks around for the door, while Nasif is inside preparing to take her hostage. When she finds the entrance she knocks and Nasif invites her in. She hesitates, asks why he called her, but he shows his gun. “Come in, because Emir won’t take long to show up.” She does as told.
Emir is driving fast and looks worried.
Nihan is inside and gets another call from Emir. Nasif asks for her phone and answers it. Emir threatens him but Nasif says that she’ll be ok if he keeps his end of the deal. He gives him further instructions to get to the warehouse and hangs up. Now they wait for Emir to show up.
Kemal is still spying on Nihan but gets a call from Zehir, who tells him that Nasif Boscal is the brother of Nayib Boscal. He sends him a photo of Nasif. Kemal immediately remembers that this is the man who works for Emir’s brother. He asks if the address is the one by the abandoned warehouse. Zehir confirms but wants to know how he knows that, and Kemal says that Nihan is inside with that man right now.
Nihan is sitting down and asks Nasif about the videos that could incriminate Emir. Nasif says “I called you so that Emir won’t harm me. Be quiet.” Nihan looks annoyed and disappointed.
******
I missed the first ten minutes!
I’m not sure what Hakki is doing, but I think he set Nasif up for death.
Kemal looks like he’s giving up but maybe tonight he’ll get back on track.
Zeynep really needs her anvil. I hope Nihan gets the proof to rat her out.
AnonFri
Thanks, Rgv Chick. Your recap slices and dices through the action and helps me know who's who.
So the doc will open her new office in a room inside the boxing club? Sweet of Ringo to offer this solution to Julia, but boxing clubs can get awfully smelly with all that sweat.
The Turco actor played an acrobat in Tres Veces Ana and was a villain there too.
Thank you, everyone, for your kind and generous critiques. JudyB, though not watching (yet) summed it up best, "It seems to be a nice traditional story with dastardly villains, honorable heroes and a happy ending in store" Oh yes and I'm a LUURVING it!
Diana, we don't know much about Mario yet, but like Jarifa, I didn't like that Ringo took the money. I don't think Ringo liked it either since he first refused to meet with Mario, but then changed his mind when Alejos told him that there was no medical insurance for Javier. And, it does appear that Oso is Rafa's father...verrry interesting!
Jarifa, I am also assuming that RIngo asked about Julia's favorite color so that he can paint her new office. And I also didn't like that Santi asking for reassurance AND that Ringo promised that he would always live with him. Sounds like an omen for troubles to me too.
I think Ringo feels responsible for helping Javier because he was the one who got Javier into boxing.
JudyB, I'm looking forward to you being here and your commentary. Hope you finish reading that book quickly :-)
Niecie, I hadn't thought about it, but yes, it will be quite smelly for Julia. She'll need LOTS of air freshener and antibacterial spray to keep her patients comfortable.
Just some trivia: Lucero Suarez, the executive producer for "Ringo," was also the executive produce for "Enamorandome de Ramon." I guess she was quite impressed with the male actors in that TN so much that she brought them with her. BTW Ramon (Ringo) and Rulo (Turco) were archenemies in "Ramon" too.
AnonFri, thank you for the excellent recap. I only caught the last few minutes; so I appreciate your recap. Kemal does look quite tired and almost ready to throw in the towel, but I'm sure he'll bounce back full force...can't wait for that! Oh, and I just can't get used to those eerie phone rings!
Niecie, the first time I saw Alfredo Gatica (Turco) was in De que te quiero, te quiero. He didn't have a major role but his hair was slicked back and he was a quiet, well mannered character there.
I think he is a far better villain.
Yes, he was in Teresa ad you noted, and in Ramon as Rgv Chick has pointed out. I liked him in Ramon as although he was evil, there was some humanity in him.
His uncle, Luis Gatica (a crush of mine) is slated to have a small part in this too I believe. I'm looking forward to seeing him :)
Diana
Whoops, maybe I have that wrong.
I just looked at Wiki and it says Luis is his father, so I'm not sure. But they are related. Somehow!
Diana
Diana will be providing a recap for tonight. If anyone else would like to give it a try, just let us know. We will surely appreciate it :-)
Chickie, the thank you so much for the recap. So far, I like this show. I Will be happy to have a more traditional tn to watch. I do not enjoy the greed, violence, and wanton sex in Cuna and Dragon. I miss the old shows that featured soul mates , strong families , and loyal friends.
I have never seen the actress playing Julia, but I like her. Brenda is a piece of work ...and that hairdont. It is hard to believe that she and sweet Julia are sisters.
The Long and Winding Road (Part 1)
Making a comeback is a choice. A steely resolve to make a commitment. To change. The fact that Ringo’s wife abandoned he and his child for another man does not appear to be a sufficient catalyst. However, the potential threat that his child, whom he has reared with love, being taken away and further, to have Santiago live in a home with his most merciless adversary is the fuel for his fire. But to regain his fighting status, he must deal with the psyche of his opponent, his fierce and unmerciful strength and anger. He must work to perfect not only his physical prowess, but his mental focus. In order to vanquish his opponent, Ringo must master his emotions and focus with laser like intensity at the challenge ahead. His journey has only just begun.
There is no doubt as to how El Turco’s return to his “roots” will be received. Anger, repulsion and loathing are evident. Even Rosa (to whom he is unknown) stares stonily. Still Turco and his sycophant stand menacingly strong. Oso entreats them to leave to no avail. Even Rosa tires to say something but Oso brushes past her unheeded.
Alejo seems a bit taken with Brenda when she stops by Manuel’s office. She is clearly not interested.
There is much discussion of Mario Velasquez. Oso is very angry. He knows that Ringo received an advance which was given to Maria for Javier. Ringo admits to the amount and is starting to seem concerned himself.
Elsewhere, Ringo and Santi have quality time. Concurrently, Diego gifts Julia with a piece of jewelry, telling her I love you, you are the woman of my life. She kisses him but I see no passion.
Teresa welcomes her boys home.
Eva shows up at Alejo’s who greets her but without a smile. Another young woman follows on her heels. Alejo explains she is an “old friend”. Yeah. Sure. I sense Alejo is a player.
Julia and Ringo meet up at her house but her car stalls. Ringo gives her a ride on his motorcycle.
Gloria shows up at school to pick up Santi. Uh oh, Turco is there too and Santi is none too happy to see him. He rebuffs Turco’s smarmy attempts to gain his favor as the patio smiles approvingly.
Ivan shows up at Manuel’s. There is a very heated argument. Something about Ivan’s sister (was she married to Manuel? I need help here) which earns him a hit in the mouth. Ivan leaves as Manuel seethes and curses.
Ahh, Julia is at dance class. Conveniently, she is the only one without a partner. As Ringo peeks around the corner, she invites him to join her. Does he have two left feet? Au contraire. All that fancy footwork in the ring has paid off, he is light on his feet and knows all the right moves. After Teresa calls Ringo and explains Gloria showed up to get Santiago, the dance lessons end and Ringo takes off with Julia in tow.
Diana
The Long and Winding Road (Part 2)
Oso is giving Rafa lessons and appears gruffer than usual (but hard to tell), seemingly taking his anger out on the youngster. He distracts him and gets a good swing in at Rafa’s face. Rafa throws down his gloves in anger but Oso gives him a hard time about not being able to ‘take it’.
Gloria and Turco bring Santiago home. Ringo and Gloria get into it and Turco sticks his oddly shaved head right in Ringo’s face. Julia holds him back as Gloria smirks on the sidelines. Diego shows up to interfere as Turco’s sidekick mouths off.
Rafa and his mother are discussing what happened at the gym when Oso shows up and is none too happy to see Rafa’s mother. I understood little here other than I gather she left him without any explanation years ago (?)
Ringo tries to gently explain his situation with Gloria to Sebastian, telling him he loves him. In the sweetest scene of the night, Ringo asks his son for a kiss and receives not only a loving one, but a huge hug as well. This bonding moment is interrupted by another angry exchange between Gloria and Ringo.
More ugly yelling, this time by Diego at Julia about Ringo. She defends him and asks what the problem is. Instead of saying he is blinded by jealousy, he acts all insecure and emotionally injured. I feel the bile rising. Brenda overhears and accuses Julia of stealing Ringo from her. Of course Ringo barely acknowledges Brenda’s existence but…Julia explains there is nothing between them. Brenda bares her fangs and leaves.
Brenda lights a picture of Julia on fire as she laughs maniacally. Later, she accosts Ringo as he is fixing up the room for Julia, getting very touchy feely. Ringo knows she is cray cray and makes the very politically incorrect but universally understood gesture to Oso to prove it.
Diego and Turco plot.
Oso is in tears talking with Ringo and Ringo reassures he is family and embraces him in a huge bear hug. Oso laughs heartily and beams a smile that lights the room as only the great actor can.
Ringo calls Julia who is sleeping and the murmurings are sincere, romance clearly starting to bloom. Good night she murmurs with a lovely smile. I sense her dreams will be even sweeter now.
Rosa stands up to Oso and tells him off. He looks flummoxed.
Ringo shares the very green new office space with Julia. Diego casts a dark shadow on everyone’s day by showing up and pestering Oso. Of course he walks in as Ringo and Julia are sharing a congratulatory hug. She tries to call him down and tries to explain but the hug was just too much for his oh so fragile ego so…
A burgeoning love, two adversaries whose relationship is deteriorating even further, a sister’s mental illness and the murky future of a child hang in the balance. The heat is on…

Friends, I am laughing as I write this. As I was trying to recap, I had Rgv Chick's list of characters at the ready as kept trying to frantically refer to it. Names are still too fresh for me so I kept typing in some of the actual character's names. :)
There were a lot of scenes tonight and not an iota of relief with any fight scenes!
If anyone can answer the questions I posed, I would appreciate it, especially in regard to the Ivan/Manuel and Oso/Rafa's mother relationships.
Please feel free to correct or add to what I wrote. Thank you in advance.
Long day - looking forward to catching up with everyone tomorrow!
Diana
Diana, another awe-inspired recap and the prologue is stellar. Here are a few things to answer your questions.
Ivan went to see Manuel because he refused to sign the documents Brenda had taken previously. Manuel refuses to sign telling Ivan that he is not going to get his signature just a he got his (Ivan’s) sister’s signature when she was not well. Ivan insists that Cristina was mentally capable when she signed over her part of the beer company to him…and he even had a notary as a witness to her mental capability. Manuel argues that her mind was not well when Ivan forced her to sign. Ivan suggests that if Manuel didn’t think his wife could make decisions, then he should have had her proclaimed mentally incompetent, but Manuel would never denigrate her in such a way. After Ivan growls that Manuel’s wife lost touch with reality so that she wouldn’t have to admit that she married a loser, Manuel strikes at him as he tells him that he is going to make Ivan eat his words. Later, Ivan complained to Diego that if Manuel doesn’t sign the document, they will not be able to get the company into the stock exchange.
Yes, Rafa’s mother seemed to vanish from Oso’s life 25 years ago without explanation. Before Oso saw Rafa and his mother together, Rafa was reminding his mother that she had kicked him out of the house. The mom also started complaining about Rafa being trained by Oso , but Rafa countered that Oso is good at what he does.
When Diego and Turco were talking, Diego was trying to get Turco to agree to a boxing match, but Turco refuses to fight anyone unless it is Ringo. He threatened Diego that if he couldn’t arrange a match with Ringo then he would get himself another rep.
More tomorrow...
Anon thanks for the recap. Ozan is a
Sorry spoiled brat. He tells his silly
Moma"stop being selfish and think of my happiness". Wow, they really messed
Him up. He is a child. A selfish one.
He wants to be happy knowin his family
Is living in hell because of him. And
Could care less. He wants nihan to have a baby for emir don't he? Stupid!
Kemal has all that love for nihan and
Nowhere to put it so he goes and yells
Into an empty dried up well. This actor
Really looks sad. I really hope kemal
Gets some happiness in the end. Even if he don't wind up with nihan.
I could just slap zeynep so hard her
Descendents feel it. Emir kinda gave her a prophecy kemal don't know you r garbage yet". I'll say it like we do here in the south "the girl is trash".
I want her sanctimonious moma to find that out. She was like that before emir got ahold of her,he just brought it out if her. She's perfect for him.
Nihan is very weak when it comes to her brother and emir knows that. He had a truck run into kemal's car while
They were walkin out of the police station. Emir had that done to make her think he can kill kemal, that way
He keeps her in line. Aaaand it worked
She's scared to death that he'll kill
Kemal. It happens everytime, wash and rinse, spin repeat.
3 more weeks of this hell.
Diana, thank you. Your recap was very entertaining. You had me laughing because fight scenes, chase scenes, smooching scenes, dance scenes—anything but talking scenes— are a gift to the recapper. Some times those 41-42 minutes have one too many talking scenes.
Ringo is way too optimistic for the world of this telenovela. Possible problems: winning in the ring, keeping custody of his son, being able to repay the advance to Velåzquez, regaining and keeping the support of his mother in spite of his brother Ramón’s death due to boxing.
I didn’t like El Turco wanting to settle everything once and for all with Ringo in the ring.
Sounds like Velázquez is bad news all around.
Advice to Diego: If a bride to be forgets about the taste testing of her wedding menu, maybe the groom to be should break the engagement even if there are only 3 weeks to the wedding. It would solve the problem of his constant disappointment in Julia once and for all,
Trivia: Ringo must have been paying attention in high school lit. As he shows Julia her greenly painted office space, he quotes from 20th century Spanish poet Federico García Lorca: “Verde que te quiero verde.” Maybe he was trying to impress her that he wasn’t just another pretty face with a good looking bod to boot.
Brenda looks like she is going to be a twisted kind of crazy. She sure proved that wanting to continue her drawing session privately with a nude Ringo. Really? LOL
AnonFri, they keep announcing that the end of the season is Dec. 20th. Does that mean that there is a 3rd season?
So nice to see your comments Rgv Chick and Jarifa!
Rgv Chick, so Manuel and Ivan are brothers in law. Thank you for sharing all of the information on the beer company, none of which I understood. "After Ivan growls that Manuel’s wife lost touch with reality so that she wouldn’t have to admit that she married a loser, Manuel strikes at him as he tells him that he is going to make Ivan eat his words". Well said. My initial hunch in not liking Ivan was spot on. Ack.
So, Oso doesn't realize Rafa is his son, does he? Also, thank you for your kind words - they are very much appreciated.
Jarifa, thank you! "Ringo is way too optimistic for the world of this telenovela". Wise words indeed! Thank you for noting that Julia missed the wedding tasting! Oh my. No, not good at all. For Diego. For Ringo - very good! Finally, "Brenda looks like she is going to be a twisted kind of crazy". Oh yeah...yet another thorn in Ringo's side.
It seems as though we are enjoying this and having fun. I'm very happy... Thanks to both of you for clarifying so many important details.
Diana
Jarifa, I smiled at "fight scenes, chase scenes, smooching scenes, dance scenes—anything but talking scenes— are a gift to the recapper" as it is so true!!
I kept thinking "Filler"! Where's the Filler? I was praying that the dancing would go on a while longer but nopis…:)
Diana
Always love your prologues, Diana. They are written from the heart and you bring a grace and gravitas to these stories. And this bit was a delight:
"Ahh, Julia is at dance class. Conveniently, she is the only one without a partner. As Ringo peeks around the corner, she invites him to join her. Does he have two left feet? Au contraire. All that fancy footwork in the ring has paid off, he is light on his feet and knows all the right moves."
Nothing like a galan who knows all the right moves!
Sorry that you were loaded down with a lot of dialogue. I agree that musical scenes, long smooches and also those "years pass" or "days pass" or whatever sure let us catch our breath.
Hoping to be able to start watching tonight and figuring out this story a bit. But thanks to you and RGV Chick for getting us started. Hope that there are others who can join in.
Thank you for your kind words Judy!
Last night, I decided I was going to go with the flow and try not to take things too seriously. If you had seen me trying to watch, type and read my "cheat sheet" you would have laughed! I know I did. I can translate little, but will try to get the gist of what I see down as best I can.
I do hope you can watch tonight - I will be recapping. An excellent patio is forming and I'll be looking forward (as always) to your comments and shrewd insights.
Diana
Rgv Chick, I have read an article about "Amor Eterno" being the first Turkish telenovela to win the International Emmy award in 2017. The article mentioned that it has 2 seasons of a total of 244 episodes. The second season is several episodes longer than the first. We are at the end of the season one. So, Nina, sorry to disappoint, but this is far from over yet.
Fifteen minutes into the novela
(1)
Kemal watches the officers collect the evidence. Nihan is watching Kemal and he tells her “You better go with him.” Nihan asks “What are you searching for?” Kemal responds “You’re afraid I’ll hand them Ozan? How many more people need to die so that this tragedy can end?” He lists Linda, Karen, Tanner and Nasif. “Don’t use Ozan to hurt me,” Nihan says. “If I wanted to hurt you there would be nothing to stop me,” Kemal says.
Emir is in the phone with someone, telling him “Gather all of my people. Now we will show everyone what a Kozcouglu is capable of.” He interrupts Nihan and Kemal, saying that they have to go and give their testimony at the precinct.
Ozan is in bed and Vildan is still coddling him. He makes the ugliest face possible when rolling his eyes at her. Just then he receives a text from Zeynep where she tells him that she’ll be visiting the house, just in case no one answers the door. Vildan stops Ozan from answering the text, claiming that Zeynep is obviously playing her game and trying to get his attention. “Ignore her texts for a few days and watch her come back with some excuse or other.” Ozan is dying to answer the text.
Zeynep is with Sema, who asks if Ozan has responded yet. Zeynep tells her “No, but I know how to get him at my feet.” She makes an extra ugly bloated fish face.
Nihan is being interrogated. She tells the officers that someone told her to be there at that particular time. She entered the warehouse because Nasif showed her his gun. She claims she was shocked when Nasif was shocked, and has no idea who did it.
Emir is shown being interrogated next, and he claims that Nasif was trying to extort money in exchange for photos of Nihan and Kemal. The officer asks him if Kemal Soydere has a romantic adventure with Nihan. Emir says no. He also has no idea who killed Nasif.
Kemal is questioned last. They ask him why he was there with Nihan. Kemal says that he followed Nihan to the warehouse because she sounded scared as she was speaking to Nasif on the phone. He saw Nasif point the gun at Emir, when suddenly someone fired a gun twice. The officer tells him that he believes that all three witnesses are withholding information. He cautions Kemal about becoming an accomplice. Kemal claims he knows nothing else.
(2)
Zeynep is in Ozan’s room, packing her things. Ozan tells her that this is enough and then begs her not to leave him. Zeynep claims that this was the reason why she sent her text, and she considers that it actually would have been easier if he wasn’t around to see this.
Ozan says “I don’t know what to do anymore, so that you stop behaving like this with me. Why are you abandoning me now, when you said you wanted space? Why are are you taking your hints? Where are you going?”
Zeynep asks him “What would change if I stay? Where are the apologies?”
Ozan protests and speaks about how bad he’s been feeling. He wants her to stay. Zeynep gets tired of him and says “Stop being childish, you’re making me depressed.” Ozan then tells her that he’ll do whatever she wants, including leaving the Sezin home. Vildan interrupts at that moment to say there’s no way Ozan would be living elsewhere. Ozan gets mad and says “Don’t get involved.” Zeynep tells him to let his mother rant. Vildan gets offended and tells her to be careful with what she says.
Ozan tells her “Mom, apologize to Zeynep at this moment. Please, if you love me, apologize to her. I don’t want to be between my mother and my wife.”
Vildan barely apologizes and Zeynep says she’s not interested in her cheap apology.
Vildan says “I see that you’re not interested in fixing things with Ozan.”
Zeynep looks at Ozan and says “See? Do you see how fast she changes her attitude?” Ozan asks her to forgive his mother, but Vildan doesn’t hold back: “Ozan, can’t you be stronger? Don’t you see that she’s using your weaknesses?”
Zeynep continues packing.
“You came here to trick my son and make him your slave. But I won’t let you get away with it” Vildan taunts.
“I think you know how to trap a man better than anyone else,” Zeynep responds.
The women continue to bicker despite Ozan trying to calm them down.
When Zeynep claims that Ozan would die to be with her, Vildan calls her a harpy.
Zeynep retorts “If I’m a harpy, so are you. You’re the one who took your sister’s fiancé and got married to him.”
Vildan slaps Zeynep. Ozan is petrified and immediately asks Zeynep if she’s ok.
Zeynep gets furious and rushes to stuff whatever she had left into the luggage and leaves. Ozan tried following her but falls to the floor at the doorway of his room and has an attack. Vildan is heard trying to calm him down. Zeynep doesn’t care and continues on her way out. In the foyer, she says “Just wait, this is nothing compared to what’s coming.” She walks out.
Nihan is asking her attorney if Kemal will be getting out of the interrogation soon. He says “Of course.” Then she asks if anything bad would happen to Kemal. He says “I don’t think so.” Nihan watches Kemal walk out of the interrogation room and she calls out his name. He tells her not to come close to him. “So you hate me now, right?” She asks. Kemal tells her that he’s going to forget the past and yank it out from the root. Nihan asks if that will make it easier to continue with his revenge. Emir walks to the hallway and confronts Kemal. They start bickering. Nihan tries to calm him down and Kemal walks out of the precinct. Emir and Nihan walk behind him.
Emir threatens Nihan again: “Do you think Kemal’s life is worth anything?” Nihan wants to know what he’s talking about. He says she’ll soon find out. Just then, a red truck came and destroyed Kemal’s car. Nihan is covering her face in fear and Emir tells her to open her eyes, “He is alive because I chose it to be that way.” He continues “I can kill him and no one will ever find out it was me.”
(3)
Kemal stands before the scene of the accident, baffled. He walks back towards Emir. Nihan asks if he’s ok, but Kemal ignores her and speaks to Emir “Don’t you realize that I’m not afraid of you?” Emir says “I can kill you whenever I want. No one will ever find the evidence to charge me.” Kemal threatens that he will come for him and the rest of his people, so he should think it over.
Banu and Tariq are watching tv. “So we’re going to eat at your parents? Last night you didn’t say anything anymore,” Banu asks. Tariq says “No, I forgot to tell you that my parents aren’t available.” Banu says “Good. It was too soon anyway.” Tariq wants to know why she looks so relieved. Banu suggests that they end their relationship now, to avoid problems. Tariq looks at her and asks “What the hell are you talking about? Are you crazy or what?” She gets up from the couch and says “Don’t talk to me like I’m one of your friends. I don’t think there’s anything wrong in telling you what I’m thinking.” She leaves him alone.
Emir and Nihan are on their way home. He’s on the phone with his minion, asking him to investigate Nasif Boscal and to get the papers of the case. When he’s done, Nihan asks him “What kind of a person are you? What kind of connections do you have?” Emir responds that he has the necessary people to do things for him so that he doesn’t get his hands dirty.
Nihan asks “Are you really capable of killing your brother?”
Emir confirms that.
“I wish I had never met you, and I curse you” she says. Emir tells her not to curse him because it’s of bad luck.
“Let it be that way. One day we’ll all pay heavy for our crimes. You’re not the only one guilty of hiding the truth. The irl that died isn’t only you and Ozan’s problem; my family and I have been responsible for hiding it too and a lot of people have died because of it.” Emir asks if they’re holding confessions right now. She starts crying and says that she’s had enough of everything already. Emir stops the car and orders her to get off, go back to the precinct and denounce him and Ozan. Kemal will die. Nihan sits there and tries to hold back the rest of her tears.
Zehir and Kemal are speaking in the “office.” Kemal is planning to find a way to prove that Emir framed Ozan. Zehir says “so we’ll be helping Emir’s brother?” Kemal affirms that, and says they should start with Tufan.
Tufan sits in his car, crying. He’s remembering a moment earlier in the day, when he had spoken to Hakki. Tufan was told to kill Nasif. He says “you provoked this and out Asu at risk. Now you must do this for her.” Tufan asks if he can’t tell Asu anything. Hakki says no, she won’t know anything. His will be his secret with Tufan. Back in the car, Tufan collects himself and says “This is for Asu. I have to protect her.” He exits the car and goes into the building where the Alacahan live.
Kemal is still with Zehir. “Boss, if everything goes as planned, as in Emir goes to prison and we prove that he used Ozan, you can take what’s yours. As in, Nihan-“ Kemal cuts him off and says “I won’t get back with Nihan, whether or not she stays with Emir.”
Vildan calls Nihan and tells her that Zeynep was in the house and Ozan is not doing well. She asks Nihan to talk to Zeynep because Ozan is too weak to confront her. Nihan looks annoyed but says ok. Emir asks what’s wrong, and Nihan orders him to stop the car. She tells him she needs to speak to Zeynep.
(4)
“Why was Nasif in Emir’s car?” Asu asks.
Hakki says “He wanted to scare Emir and get money from him, without our consent.”
Asu says “I don’t believe that. How did Emir find Nasif?”
Hakki says “When Nasif was completely alone, he ended up being an easy target.”
Asu panics a bit that Emir is very close to the truth. Tufan tells her to remain calm because Emir won’t be able to trap her. Hakki suggests that Asu leave the city because Emir is getting close to discovering the truth.
“The plan was to ruin Emir’s life, but now it’s ruining mine!” She says, exasperated.
Hakki says “I don’t know how to protect you anymore. If Emir finds you, we will all be screwed and he will destroy you.” He hands over a gun to Asu. “Are you going to do it first? You need to do what’s necessary to stay safe.” Asu takes the gun and stares at it.
*****
I don’t understand what makes Hakki think that Mujan would approve of him destroying Emir to get to Galip. Maybe this means he’s actually using Asu and doesn’t care much for her either. Tufan should be careful.
RGV Chick, glad to know you’re watching parts of this. Apparently it’s two seasons, and I had the math wrong. December 20 is the first season finale. BTW, I also don’t like those weird ringtones they use. It kinda describes the character using it, though.
Nina, that slap Vildan gave Zeynep was well deserved. Still not sure what her goal really is.
Thank you Lucio for the information! A second season of this sounds scary.
AnonFri
Lucio, so nice to see a comment from you. So 244 episodes, WOW! Definitely far from over.
RINGO
Diana, no matter how little you can translate, you always seem to grasp so much of what is going on and you relate it with such flair and inspiration.
Regarding Julia: “She kisses him but I see no passion.” None evident whatsoever! I was expecting her to wipe her mouth after the kiss LOL
Wardrobe Blooper: “Julia and Ringo meet up at her house but her car stalls. Ringo gives her a ride on his motorcycle.” When she came out of the house, Julia was wearing a black dress with a fuchsia jacket. When she got off the motorcycle, she sported a blue jean type blouse. When they left from the dance class she was wearing her black dress again. OOPSIE, fashionistas!
Jarifa, “Sounds like Velázquez is bad news all around.” Oh my yes! Oso and Alejo were very upset when they found out that Ringo had signed with him; they made it clear that Velasquez was a crook. Fortunately, later, Ringo explains that he only signed a letter of intent; so Alejo went to pay Velasquez what he had given Ringo as an advance and got the letter of intent. And thanks for the trivia; that went waaay over my head!
Before Diego tore into Julia about Ringo, Julia told him about her clinic being closed down. She thinks Llorente had a hand in it because she has been treating people who work for him and he must be afraid that she will get them to speak out against him. BTW, during this scene, it sounded like Diego was so fed up with Julia thinking of everything else except him that he ended their engagement, but the way he tore into her again at the end of the episode gives the impression that he still expects her loyalty.
Diana. “So, Oso doesn't realize Rafa is his son, does he?” No, he doesn’t. In fact, he doesn’t even know that Rafa and Sandra are mother and son. Sandra told Oso that she was meeting with the “young man” to offer him a job. After Oso retorted that Rafa wouldn’t have time for a full-time job, Rafa (following his mother’s lead) explained that he had told Sandra the same thing and was hoping for a part-time job; he then scurried away. After Rafa left, Sandra got a call from Garay; so Oso found out that Sandra works for Garay (as his secretary).
JudyB, I think you will really like this TN. I sure do!
Rgv Chick, I never noticed the wardrobe blip! You on the other hand don't miss a thing :)
I so appreciate your translating Diego's rant! Run Julia Run!!
I think Oso will be thrilled that he has a son (once he gets past his ire of Rafa's mother not telling him!). I'll add Sandra's name to the list (if not already on there!)
Thank you so much!
Diana
Anon great recap. OZAN is just falling
Apart. I guess if he had to go to the
Poky he's die. They really coddled him
To the point of him not growing up. He
Wants mommie to help him keep widdle wify to stay and play married with him
And since he has a.......siezure/fit
Tantrum thingy? And Nihan is sick of it, but just not enough to speak up.
If she weren't so worried about her lil bratt of a brother she maybe would have helped kemal bury pucker puss by
Now. But then we wouldn't have such an
Intense tn.
244 episodes. So we are over the 100 mark going to season 2. Ok. On with the fireworks.
Thanks for the the recap Anon.
Thanks for that imfo lucio.
PS, Sinse season 1 is coming to an end does that mean we'll have to wait next year For season 2 to start?
I am enjoying this show. I have seen the guy playing Ringo's lawyer ( I think) in several shows. He always likes to wear his shirts and pants on the tight side. He was in Ramon.
I have also seen the actor playing Manuel in several shows. The first time I saw him , he was the tall, thin bff of Manuel ( Fernando Colunga) in Amor Real. He was also in Vino de Amor. I love that this show is filled with familiar faces.
Yes, tight shirts are a frequent fashion choice for Arturo Carmona.
And Óscar Bonfiglio is a favorite of mine as well. He was also in Teresa and El Pantera as well as other TNs...
It is nice to see so many actors working!
Glad you are enjoying this!
