RINGO
Ep. 70, Part 1: Coercion and Love Do No Get Along Together, and You Cannot Enjoy Love When You Are Forced To (Jean-Jacques Rousseau)

Ringo tells Isabel that he knows a lot about Diego who is a monster. Ivan confided in him about the fraud and that he didn’t want to report it until he had more evidence. He didn’t tell him who he suspected, but that it was someone close to him. Ivan asked him to be head of security so that he could take care of his family, especially Julia. Isabel explains that she as evidence to prove the fraud, but that would mean that Diego would only be charged for that; she thinks that he is behind the kidnapping and murder. Ringo then confides about Diego telling him about being behind the robbery at the Garay house, including getting shot to manipulate Julia.

At the club, Oso talks to Manuel. Oso is beside himself because Rosa is angry with him when she was the one who left the reception to go help Carrizo and to top it off she helped him get a room at her building. Manuel advises that Oso should apologize. Oso calls Rosa but she cuts him off…she is busy. Carrizo then comes and asks Rosa to help since Celia needs a bath and he gets nervous doing it.

Gloria wakes up groggy and asks what happened. When she asks why she is tied up, Turco explains that she is with him in her house…and he is doing this for her own good. When she chides him for kidnapping her, he clarifies that he rescued her. Rosa starts yelling out for help, but Turco knocks her out again telling her that this is what he will have to do until she understands.

Rosa has given Celia a bath wonders what Carrizo would do before when he had to give Celia a bath. He replies that he would hire a nanny to do it. When he comments that Celia has given him a new outlook on life, Rosa wonders why he tried to stop the wedding. Carrizo isn’t sure, but he knows he shouldn’t have done it and he will apologize to them. As Rosa coddles Celia, Carrizo looks at her with admiration.

Ringo continues to tell Isabel that after Ivan’s death, Diego continued to threaten him and since he knows what he is capable of, he fears for his son. After they tell each other to be careful, Ringo warns Isabel that Diego might find out that she is investigating him since he has his contacts including Bruno and Garfias who works at the police department. Isabel asks Ringo to call her if he thinks of anything else. Just then Ringo gets a call from the school that Santi needs to be picked up.

Gloria comes too again and tells Turco that her head hurts. Turco explains that it’s the effects of the chloroform. When she asks what he wants, he tells her that he just wants them to be the family that they used to be—him, her, and Santi. Gloria asserts that whatever he does, she will never go back to him. Just then the doorbell rings and Gloria starts yelling for HELP!! So, Turco knocks her out again. He goes out to find Carrizo who wants to talk. When he asks to go inside, Turco refuses and tells him he has guests. Carrizo doesn’t like that they are at odds; they have been brothers for years. When Turco reminds him that he chose to go with Rosa, Carrizo ells him that he felt obligated to take her home; he doesn’t think Turco should be jealous, but Turco doesn’t like playing second fiddle. He slams the door shut so Carrizo takes Celia to the park.

Oso sees Rosa on her way to see Susana. He apologizes for getting upset…but he got jealous and doesn’t know what he would do if he lost her. He wonders what they are waiting for…they should bring her mother and daughter to live there and be a family. Rosa argues that he only wants to marry her because he is jealous. Oso returns that he is jealous because he loves her. Rosa needs time to think about it…she doesn’t know how long, but they will know when it’s time.

RINGO
Ep. 70, Part 2: Coercion and Love Do No Get Along Together, and You Cannot Enjoy Love When You Are Forced To (Jean-Jacques Rousseau)

Susana tell Guevara that she made an appointment for him with an ophthalmologist because she knows that here is something wrong with his eyes. When she tells him that she called Mazatlán to get information on him, Guevara gets upset; she has no right butting into his life! Susana understands but wonders why he won’t try to find out what is happening with his sight. Guevara finally confesses that what he has has no cure, he is going blind. After he asks that she not tell anyone, she pleads with him to see her friend…he might find a way to help him. Big hug with tears…

Alejo is in bed with Brenda in his arms as her tells Brenda that he needs to leave to go train. Brenda reminds him that it’s their first day of being married, but Alejo insists that he needs to prepare for his fight. If she wants him to be a champion, he needs to train.

Eva tells Julia that Max proposed and she is very happy; she didn’t expect it. When Julia asks when they will marry, Eva doesn’t know, but she doesn’t want a long courtship. After Julia comments that the weddings will continue, Eva adds that there will also be a divorce...and hands her the divorce papers. Julia worries that Diego won’t sign so Eva explains that only one of the parties has to sign, but it would be best if Diego signed since they will be working together. Eva asks if Julia saw Ringo; so, Julia confides that she saw him last night, but there is nothing they can do.

Turco takes a groggy Gloria to the restroom. Meanwhile, Ringo picks up Santi who wonders why Ringo went for him instead of his mother. Ringo assumes that Gloria must have had something that came up (Yup! A wild Turk[ey]!).

Julia enters Diego’s office and hands Diego the divorce papers. He grits his teeth as he looks at her with piercing eyes. Diego didn’t expect it; he thought things were getting better between them. When he tells her that he still loves her, Julia replies that she doesn’t love him and there is no use in going on without love (but it was okay to get married without love??). After Diego tells her that he can’t sign them right now, Julia asks him to give it to her secretary when he signs.

Oso tells Damasio about his argument with Rosa and how it came about. After Oso tells him that Rosa accused him of not trusting her, he adds that he does trust her, he just doesn’t trust Carrizo. Damasio thinks Oso should worry…and warns him that now that Luchis is married, Carrizo will probably go after Rosa.

Turco tries to get Gloria to eat but she refuses. Gloria warns him that others will wonder where she is and look for her. Turco is sure that by the time that happens, he will get her to fall in love with him again.

At the gym, Diego tells Alejo about his new sponsor. Alejo questions why the beer company isn’t sponsoring him, so Diego tells him that the company is not doing well.

Ringo calls Gloria since she hasn’t shown up, but he gets no answer. Teresa hopes that she left forever! Ringo then leaves to go meet with Sitges.

While jogging, Rosa gets hit by a car whose driver ran a red light (oh, noes!).

RINGO
Ep. 70, Part 3: Coercion and Love Do No Get Along Together, and You Cannot Enjoy Love When You Are Forced To (Jean-Jacques Rousseau)

Eva tells Manuel that Max proposes. Manuel is elated and congratulates Max; he is looking forward to having him as a son-in-law. As they talk, Eva’s stomach feels queasy (pre-novia jitters already??).

Rosa is taken to the hospital. As she is wheeled in and the doctors comment that she might have a brain injury, Guevara is in the waiting room for his appointment that Sandra took him to.

Santi is kicking his ball at the club when Diego comments that the last time he was playing with a ball he got lost; he warns that it might happen again. Ringo and Oso then approach and wonder what he is doing. Diego comments that Ringo is paranoid…Oso should take him to a psychiatrist since so many hits on the head must have affected him. After Diego leaves, Ringo asks Santi not to talk to Diego again. Rings then tells Oso that Sitges had good news for him. Jerry Johnson wants to set up a fight for him against “El Ciclón” in three months.

As the doctors find that Rosa has a punctured lung due to a broken rib, Oso gets a call to inform him that Rosa was run over and is in the hospital. He and Rafa rush to the hospital.

Ringo and Santi arrive home. Santi notices that Gloria’s phone is there; so, Ringo assumes that is why she hasn’t been answering…and he doesn’t give it a second thought.

The doctors operate on Rosa as Oso and Rafa arrive and fill out some information on Rosa.

Dr. Barrera explains to Guevara that he has a macular degeneration…which can be treated with an operation. They will have to runs some tests to determine if they can operate on the retina. The doctored then adds that the operation needed can’t be performed there; it has to be performed at another hospital which is costlier. Susana thinks that it won’t be a problem for Guevara…who grudgingly agrees.

Oso calls Manuel to let them know about Rosa and to tell them that they need blood donations.

Ringo arrives at the hospital to join Oso who wonders why this had to happen. Manuel and troop then arrive followed by Julia. The doctor approaches and tells them the Rosa is out of the operating room; they were able to repair her collapsed lung, but not all is good news. Rosa has a head injury and she is in a coma. Julia then explains that Rosa might wake up from the coma depending on where the injury is. She might be in a coma for two-four weeks, but there are cases in which the coma could last for years.

RINGO
Ep. 70, Part 4: Coercion and Love Do No Get Along Together, and You Cannot Enjoy Love When You Are Forced To (Jean-Jacques Rousseau)

Luchis and Guachin are at the airport getting ready to go to Acapulco when Pepe calls him to tell him about Rosa. Guachin tells Luchis that they need to cancel the honeymoon and go to the hospital, but Luchis won’t give up her honeymoon for someone she barely knows; so Guachin tells her to go on her own; he is going to the hospital. No skin off her back!

Ringo asks Julia for her opinion about Rosa. She tells him that it’s a very delicate condition; she worries about the aftereffects which could be physical, intellectual or emotional…but she may recover them a bit at a time. When she adds that she feels like she can’t do anything to help Rosa, Ringo assures her that she will be fine,

Oso enters to see Rosa and tells her she has to recover; she can’t leave him alone…there are so many things that she needs to do. She has her match to fight…and her daughter needs her as does he. He cries and he calls her name and tells her that she can’t give up. When he feels her finger move, he asks her to move it again if she can hear him. When she moves her finger again, Oso runs out and tells everyone that Rosa is responding. When the doctor checks her, he tells him and Julia that Rosa is still in a coma; what Oso saw was simply a reflex action. Julia corroborates what the doctor said. The doctor understands Oso’s desire to see Rosa respond, but unfortunately her condition has not improved.

..and so it ends: Rosa in a coma and Gloria knocked out...until Monday

Ringoofy
Thank You Ms. Chikie. Very nice work.

1 You spend any amount of time around boxers, you notice that getting repeatedly punched in the head as part of your livelyhood has some lasting effects. (Not recommended!)

2 Gloria takes great exception to someone physically doing to her what she routinely does mentally to everyone else.

3 Most of these people are so stupid, they make a galoot like Carrizo look almost cerebral.

4 Has brain dead Foolia forgotten about Diablo's attempts to make offspring with Whatsherpants on the office sofa while he was married to Foolia?

5 WTF? Are we to assume Turco / Ariel's gun is shooting blanks? Why else is he a kid stealer?

6 Eva sure has pretty skin. The thin air up there must be good for her complexion.

7 So Foolia gives Diablo the divorce papers? It would be far safer all around to just kill him.

8 We have seen three different outfits on Foolia and others since the wedding and Alejo and Brenda are still in bed? Whew!

9 Is Guevera really losing his eyesight or is it a subliminal defense to being around Susanna?

10 So we have twenty simultaneous stories going....oop..wait, wait make that twenty one. Ros-a got runned oh-ver by a Reindeer! The Delta swarm begins lighting on the hospital.

11 Did Lucious tell Gauchin they are going for the TN 'Shortest Marriage' record?

RINGO

Thank you, RgvChick. I so enjoyed your most excellent recap so much more than the episode. Loved the title and “(Yup!
A wild Turk[ey]!).

Kirby, thanks for your very funny “Ros-a got runner oh-ver by a Reindeer!” (That first line could easily be the first line of a multi-versed parody!!) and the very true “It would be far safer all around to just kill him.” Sure would be. Make someone a murderer of the murderer. We haven’t seen that yet in this novela of never ending and increasing calamities.

What to say? If the the novela didn’t run off the rails with Turco going to the crazy side, it sure did with Rosa getting hit again and now in the coma. We also didn’t need yet another PSA with Guevara agreeing to eye surgery he knows he cannot afford.

Maybe after a long weekend of resting and pondering, our characters will smarten up as we head for the finish line.

RINGO

Looking at my post, it looks like things are weird in cyber world today. The wind has been howling here and must have blown the line apart! LOL

RINGO

Rgv Chick, first, love the quote but the real punchline came at the end "Rosa in a coma and Gloria knocked out...until Monday". Perfect. Just Perfect.

"(Yup! A wild Turk[ey]!)". Excellent! Your recaps always bring sunshine and hope.

I'm glad that things are moving to bring Diego to justice.

One of the reasons I so enjoy this TN is that there are surprising moments when even characters who aren't the brightest or most likeable show their humanity, "As Rosa coddles Celia, Carrizo looks at her with admiration". That touched me as does his obvious devotion to his daughter.

Conversely, it was sad to watch Turco light into Carrizo, his brother since childhood. "Turco doesn’t like playing second fiddle". Brenda was not the only one who should have been getting therapy and I am sorry to see this storyline taking a downward turn. I should throw in some kind or sympathetic kind words about Gloria but I can't muster them up.

I am hoping for a quick recovery for Rosa (what an unexpected development) and for Guevara.

Talk about friends rallying - even besotted Guachin had no hesitation to go to Rosa's side.

"As they talk, Eva’s stomach feels queasy". Hmmm. I had an ominous feeling about this - hope I'm wrong.

Great list Kirby. Hard to pick a favorite, but "Did Lucious tell Gauchin they are going for the TN 'Shortest Marriage' record?" is likely spot on!

Rgv Chick, thank you for your always thoughtful analysis and superb retelling of all the events. Much to be solved and wrapped up.

Diana

RINGO

Good morning Jarifa.

"Guevara agreeing to eye surgery he knows he cannot afford". You are absolutely correct. But, I have a feeling this band of friends will come up with a way to help him.

"Maybe after a long weekend of resting and pondering, our characters will smarten up as we head for the finish line". We can hope, can't we ? :)

I'm not happy with Turco's storyline. As I noted, I didn't get a good feeling about Eva either. I sure hope I'm wrong. Given my track record, that's almost a certainty.

Diana

Diana, I am hoping, too, for Guevara, that his pals come through. Instead, the writers should have let him have a wild romance with the doctora. I could have appreciated that. : ) Here is hoping they don’t do something equally as depressing with Eva.

RINGO

Loved the quote by Jean-Jacques Rousseau. He had the gift of writing, wonderful wise things. And actually brought back the fashion of breast-feeding by the rich nobles. (Before they always handed off their babies to a wet-nurse, which usually meant the wet-nurse's own baby was malnourished and sickly. Sad exploitation of the poor.) Unfortunately, Rousseau's own five babies (with his own servant) were handed off to orphanages. Wisdom in writing is not always matched with wisdom in life.

Ringo assumes that Gloria must have had something that came up (Yup! A wild Turk[ey]!).
Just so clever. And like everyone else, I'm baffled by this strange turn in Turco's trajectory.

And oh my, A COMA!!!!!! Yes, we must have comas in a telenovela. And if possible two or three. Dr. Carlos used to love those.

I missed watching this because there was a real nail-biter of an OSU basketball game going on--which we won, fortunately. So an extra thanks for the recap. Clearly I didn't miss a thing thanks to your thorough reporting!

RINGO

Thanks, Kirby, Jarifa, Diana!

Kirby, you do know how to make us laugh; thank you! Darn! Wish I had thought of
"Ros-a got runned oh-ver by a Reindeer!" That would have made a great title. But after all the crazy in this show and all the intrigue in Amor Eterno, my brain is pretty much wasted by the time I start thinking of a title.

Jarifa, I'm really surprised that being so close to the end, they are still throwing in new calamities; I would think that they have plenty already to give us a good ending. A wild romance for Guevara would be nice; Susana does seem to like him. It would just add to the numerous couples (and tirangles) we have in this TN. We have--

Ringo - Julia - Diego
Oso - Rosa - Guachin
Turco - Gloria - Ringo
Max - Eva - Alejo
Alejo - Brenda - Ringo
Damasio - Elsa
Rafa - La Zorra - Candi (of course Candi can be placed with just about all the guys :-)
Carrizo -Luchis - Guachin
Teresa - Renato
Hmm...I think that's about it. Oh and even Santi was after a little girl, but they seemed to have dropped that.

Diana, I wish Turco's character hadn't taken a downward turn either; he was showing such a sweet side to him, but that seems to have plummeted. Carrizo is another one who SEEMS to be changing, but I think Damasio made a good point that Carrizo might set his eyes on Rosa, especially since she is so good with little Celia.

Jarifa, ""Maybe after a long weekend of resting and pondering, our characters will smarten up as we head for the finish line". I sure hope so!

RINGO

Glad your team won Judy!

And yes, Carlos did dearly love comas, didn't he? At least there are only 12 more episodes so it shouldn't last too long.

Last night was a downer, all the way around.

Here's to better days ahead.

Diana

RINGO

JudyB, "Rousseau's own five babies (with his own servant) were handed off to orphanages." I did NOT know that! Thanks for the details on Rousseau and his role in breastfeeding. And "Wisdom in writing is not always matched with wisdom in life." Oh how true!! That should be on a "Famous Quotes" site.

Congrats on your team's win!

Ringo #70

Gracias, RGV Chick.

I have the feeling that if Rosa survives this her boxing days are over.

Turco definitely needs a shrink; he should have seen one years ago or at least after the impostor.

Of course Diego won't sign the divorce papers; that leaves him out in the cold vis a vis Julia's inheritance. That always meant more to him than she did.

Macular Degeneration is currently considered incurable. An aunt of mine had it and ultimately went blind about six months before she died.

RINGO

RgvChick, wow, I never realized how many couples/triangles there were. I am still hoping for a Julia and Ringo wedding including a beautiful “non-fashion forward dress” at the end to make me forget some of these episodes/characters.

AMOR ETERNO #158 (1st hr Thurs.) Part 1

Kemal's polished shoes lead him into the boardroom. Yes Nina, the man can make an entrance! What is he doing there? He owns a great number of shares! Galip sputters....but....I didn't transfer them to you. "To me no, but to my wife, yes." Stunned looks all around. Galip and Emir can't believe it. Nihan is tearing up. Kemal announces that the Kozcuoglu kingdom is over NOW. And threatens the annihilation of the Koz name.

Flashbacks: Kemal convincing Asu to marry before the transfer, "if you want to marry me"; a civil wedding, Asu in red and Kemal in black leather, Zehir as the witness as they sign a big book; Kemal getting Nihan on board with this plan. Nihan is worried that after destroying the family he won't get rid of Asu. Oh yes he will, and he has a pre-nup.

After the meeting, Emir questions Tufan about the extortioner's envelope. Tufan remembers Nihan spilling coffee on his jacket ]to see the inside pocket]. Then Emir accuses Asu of being a traitor. He wants the shares back, or he'll let Kemal know she is a Koz.

Asu attacks Emir: Ozan was killed, you got the case closed, when the case is reopened you'll be found out as the killer. Emir, surprised: how did you know? He grabs Asu's neck and she admits she was the extortioner. Galip comes in, and Asu declares she'll keep the shares as was Galip's plan to cut out his son. "Both of you are my enemies." After Asu leaves, Galip and Emir vow to get her shares back.

Kemal has followed Nihan (in her amazing white pantsuit), for another steamy elevator ride. Up to the rooftop for another bout of cat and mouse and circular romantic talk. Kemal says "captivity is as dangerous as death." Nihan is trying to keep him away: "you tell me not to come closer, but your eyes call me to you." A long, slow kiss. When all this is over, Kemal wants a real marriage with her,

Tufan reports to Emir that the auction participants were rounded up by Ayhan for Kemal. Switch to Ayhan and another man working on Melahab. Leyla arrives. She's not happy that Ayhan is encouraging Kemal rather than restraining him. Ayhan says he's just doing some dirty work for the apprentice. Cleo wants to leave, but first Ayhan gets her chuckling and they make dinner plans.

Yasemin, looking uncomfortable, is discussing a painting class project with Nihan for the foundation. Flashback to Emir putting Yasemin up to this as something to keep Nihan busy.

AMOR ETERNO #158 Part 2

Fehime looks destroyed. She's in her room staring at Deniz's photo when Zeynep comes in. "Won't you ever speak to me again?" Nep babbles for a while, her excuse seems to be that she can't control the "poison" in her heart. Ma, say something! Fehime: you will leave this house. Once I tell him, your father will throw you out, and don't you dare ever come back. Have that guy come and talk to us. Nep tried to get a glimpse of Deniz's photo, but Fehime snatched it away.

The newlyweds are at home, preparing a family dinner to announce their happy event. Tarik arrives early to talk to Kemal. Outside, Tarik shows Kemal the video of Zehir and Zera. "Your right hand man is a traitor."

For his part, Tarik explains that when he handed the envelope to Emir, he was paying off a debt. Flashback to that scene as captured by Zehir. Emir tells Tarik they are being watched, "Let Zehir see us and make a baseless accusation against you."

Another flashback. Emir is chewing out Tarik, then calls after him and says he'll give him another chance. "You will deliver Kemal to me." Tarik is wary of the danger, but ultimately says "you helped me when no one else would. I'll do what you ask."

In the present, Tarik says to Kemal: "I learned my lesson. I won't hurt you. I'm not the one lying to you."

Emir tells Nihan that Deniz is the remedy for all his problems.

The Soydere clan is now gathered around the dinner table for another fun family meal. Kemal and Asu stand and announce they got married that morning. Why? Tarik wonders, why? when the date was so soon? Kemal says it was his idea. He has to begin again from nothing, using Asu's help against Emir.

Husseyin says "we should have another announcement soon: the formal asking of Zeynep's hand in marriage. Kemal is curious who the lucky fellow is. Hakan!

Leyla and Ayhan are also having dinner. At Leyla's, Ayhan is cooking: a casserole, a salad, and some surprise Greek appetizers are delivered. Leyla pronounces the meal "exquisite." Ayhan is happy. He has the joy of a child when he looks into her eyes. More poetic talk in the Ayhan style. When the doorbell rings, Ayhan, expecting delivery of dessert, opens the door to Vildan [Vildan had called Leyla earlier wanting to see her, but Leyla had said she had someone coming over]. Ayhan quickly leaves.

"SMLV 2":

Kirby: Season 3 is coming up on March 16th. Looks like Escamilla will be the new President of Mexico.

AMOR ETERNO #159 [2d hour Thurs.] Part 1

Eda reports to Emir that the press are outside the house, and Emir and Nihan rush out. Reporters are yelling: Asu Alakahan is your sister? Is is true? Emir neither confirms or denies. He makes no comment. turns and goes back inside. Nihan questions Emir: is it true? Sadly, yes.

Back to Vildan and Leyla. Vildan investigated Ayhan. Leyla is annoyed, but Vildan only wants what's best for Leyla. Okay, what did you find out? Vildan doesn't one to be the one to tell her. If she's interested, find out for yourself. Look at his first crime. Vildan leaves, and Lely pulls a record album [?} out of a bag, with a pic of a woman on its cover.

Emir asks Galip if he spilled the beans about Asu to the press. No, who could have done it? Emir suspects Kemal.

Back at the Soydere's, the dishes are being cleared after dinner. Zehir calls Kemal to turn on the TV. A news anchor announces that Asu A. is the daughter of Mujan and Galip Koz. Stunned reaction of the Soyderes and Banu. They all turn on Asu: is it true? Kemal: Asu, say this is a lie. Asu says she's sorry, and collapses in a faint, her long hari strewn on the floow. Kemal urges his family to leave.

Meanwhile, Emir has Tufan investigating who gave this info to the press.

When Asu comes to, Kemal goes off on her with outrage. Asu protests she is a victim, that Hakki raised her to hate them and used her in his vengeance plan.

A fast series of flashbacks of Asu's involvement in dirty deeds: killing Nassir; Asu at Mujan's bedside saying she has to help Emir get Nihan back; giving Emir the video[s] of Linda's death; and giving Ozan the gun.

Kemal yells at Asu: You did all these things to separate me from Nihan....liar...you should be ashamed...get out...there's nothing between us! Asu exclaims she'll die without him.

Kicked out, Asu runs to Emir, threatening Emir that she'll go the police about Ozan's killing. Emir denies giving the news to the press, saying Kemal did it. "Kemal already knew, it's his way of getting rid of you. Give me 24 hours and I'll prove it. Give me this time before you go to the police." Nihan overhears this.

Zehir is at Zera's when Kemal shows up to confront him. They go outside. "Tarik told me. There better be a good explanation." Zehir: "it's not what you think. I didn't know hoe to tell you. I wouldn't be with her if she still worked for Emir." Kemal responds that Zehir lied and hurt him, because Kemal thought Zehir was his friend. Kemal says "see you tomorrow" and drives off.

AMOR ETERNO #159 Part 2

Sad development here. Tufan, as instructed by Emir, is searching Melahab while henchmen prepare to douse Mel with gasoline. Tufan finds a gas receipt from Zonguldak stuck behind the visor. Soon, Mel is torched. Later, Ayhan finds charred ruins and mourns. "This is the end, girl. They've sent me a message."

Nihan calls Kemal to report that Asu has evidence about Ozan's death. Are you sure? Kemal figures out she must have paid off some hospital or police employees. "Let's get the financial records and review them for transfers on the date of Ozan's death." Kemal asks Pelin for the last 6 months of financial records.

On his end, Tufan is investigating what Ayhan was doing in Zonguldak. He found the hotel and learned they went to the hospital, he'll find out why.

Kemal visits Hakan's office to ask for a list of all the relevant hospital and police employees. He wants every name, and don't tell Emir. Oh, by the way, if you're thinking about something with Zeynep, forget it. I won't allow it.

Kemal has been rejecting Asu's calls.

Zeynep is waiting for Hakan. She blurts out: will you marry me? She's begging: there's no one else I can turn to, I'm so ashamed, there's no other way out of this hell, help me out, back me up, we'll have fun. Hakan says she's "different" and admits he's been attracted to her since the first time he saw her. Maybe the attraction is her dark side, she seems "guilty of some crime."

But, Hakan can't marry her. "Do you know why I'm not married? I've been waiting for the best. It can't be just a simple arrangement." Nep backpedals to another idea. "Just come to dinner to ask for my hand. Then we'll say we broke up." Hakan stares at her.

Kemal and a financial officer are reviewing the reports. They find a suspect entry. Kemal googles something, possibly a name, and a screen comes up. Surprise, it's in Turkish! And we end with who knows what cliffhanger.

~~~~~~~~
No show tonight, soccer.
Many developments and I had to be selective to cover the double episodes. Hope I didn't gloss over anything important. And scenes were combined.
Did we know Asu knew about Ozan's death?
I hope Ayhan doesn't think Vildan torched Mel to steer him away from Leyla!
AnonFri, thanks for your detailed recaps and comments dissecting the plotting and strategizing. If you don't play chess IRL, maybe you should take it up.
Rgv Chick, back to your question. I "claramente" heard Tarik say to Nep nothing will happen, how can you be sure, "porque otras personas te temen por otras razones." My best guess is that since we haven't seen all the events in Ozan's hospital room -- being doled out in dribs and drabs -- she's got some dirt on someone.
Thanks everybody for your comments.
Clara
RINGO
Rgv Chick, I also think La Zorra had a "round" with Alejo :)
Urban, yes, I think Turco started going downhill after his "mother" showed up. My aunt also had macular degeneration. There was a black spot in the middle of her sight and she had a bit of perimeter sight but not much. What they showed of Guevera seemed to indicate everything was out of focus so I'm wondering if it is something else.
Diana
AMOR ETERNO
Clara, thanks for the recap! I think you covered everything!
I really liked Nihan's white out fit too; she looked stunning. And that elevator ride plus, "Up to the rooftop for another bout of cat and mouse and circular romantic talk...Nihan is trying to keep him away: "you tell me not to come closer, but your eyes call me to you." A long, slow kiss." Wow, this couple really heats up the screen. And Kemal sizzles!
Now we know for certain that Tarik is the snake we suspected. I'm still flabbergasted that he is backstabbing his brother without a blink of an eye; and he sure can put on a show. Poor Kemal, he is going to be left without anyone to trust. Hope Zehir discovers Zehra's double cross very soon.
Clara, I "claramente" heard what you heard regarding Zeynep having others fear her. When Tariq said it, I assumed he meant someone other than Emir, but Zeynep confronted and threatened Emir.
I had no clue that Asu knew anything about Ozan's death, but then I didn't watch the beginning. How was it that she knew so much...or is it like everything else that happens...luck of the draw!
Oh I wanted to cry when Melahab went up in flames. I hope that Kemal replaces it with an identical one sometime before the end.
I was so relieved that Hakan turned down Zeynep, not that I like him or what he has done, but just seeing Zeynep squirm was well worth it. And for once, I cheered Fehime when she was so cold and heartless with Zeynep.
AMOR ETERNO
Thanks Rgv Chick!
True, sounded like someone other than Emir. If Nep has dirt on "other people" for "other reasons," I guess it will emerge in due course.
Remembered something I meant to include. A scene with Kemal and Yihid setting up the bombshell notice to the press by some tricky route involving use of the foreign press. Making clear that Kemal was indeed responsible.
And how about Kemal's being able with this timing to engineer the wedding and stock dump while avoiding a honeymoon night with Asu.
All I can think is that Asu acquired some info from Tufan about Emir/Ozan.
I’m glad there are still a good number of ISSUES and puzzles still to be solved because it means we have a ways to go before the end. This is a super interesting TN with some great plot twists —- as well as some great looking protagonists and a gorgeous baby!!!
BUT what else to WATCH? Not interested in SIN MIEDO and I see nothing else good coming up. Anybody have any good suggestions i can look forward to in March? I would be so grateful for some news on that front.
Ros-a got runned over by a reindeer
Walking home from Oso's just this eve.
She was laid up in the OR
Broken rib and punctured spleen
Oso held her hand so gently
And told her
Just how much she really means
As he cried and poured his heart out
Her single digit made a weave
You can say there is no love there
But as for me and Oso, We believe.
AMOR ETERNO
Anon 1:55, ITA about what a great TN this is along with the gorgeous people and cutest baby I’ve seen in a TN.
We’re still waiting for news on what will replace “Ringo” but from all that I have seen there is nothing that sounds really great. You may want to check out the “Coming in 2020” page (there’s a link in the sidebar), but there is no info in exactly when those TNs will be aired.
RINGO
Kirby, the poet, that’s pretty good! Some good afternoon entertainment is just what I needed. Thanks!
RINGO
Kirby, I sang the song! Your lyrics work beautifully. Just wonderful. Thanks for the laughs.
:-)
RGV chick... Glad you agree about Amor Eterno... Wondering if there are any other well done Turkish ones that might be available on streaming or on demand. At first i thought I would hate the idea of dubbed show, but somehow they did a fabulous job of that. I never even thought about that after it started.
I did look at the 2020 page but not much to know/see at this point. I am hoping something shows up really soon because this is the first time in about 15+ years that i have had nothing to look forward to! Of course i am not a big fan of that relentless NARCO stuff nor of that very horrible hard-to-watch serious torture stuff, e.g. in la Doña, etc. I was very happy watching Rubí and Amor Eterno most recently.
So.......
Please, as soon as you hear of anything, please POST!!! Thank you.
Clara thanks for the recap. This thing is Swingin. Kemal can really move pieces around on The chess board. How did he do it so quickly?
And he cleans up really well. And that
Swagger with those shoulders to the
Beat of that music. He got his stuff together. I really hope this ends well
He and nihan have been going through hell for eight years, it would be a shame if the ending wasnt at least a
Little of a happily ever after. And they deserve one, especially that cute little deniz. No wonder kemal loves her, she has those captivating eyes like him. Thats his girl.
Emir puts her in bed with him and puts his figure in her hand. Does not have
The same effect when kemal does it.
Emir is kind of a sad guy. But I don't
Feel sorry for him at all. He's evil.
Asu is another pitiful one. Enough bout them.
Nihan was gorgeous in that white suit
And the necklace. She did have those come hither eyes, his said "I'm here
Here baby". Hahahaha!!
Vildan needs to get a life. And stop lookin down her nose at folk. The man
Made mistakes and so has she, get over
Yourself lady. Join the "redhat ladys
Club" or something.
Poor melahab(mel). Maybe kemal can find him a newer version of mel. That
Car is just to darn long. I hope leyla
Don't break his heart. He loves Cleo.
Tariq......whatever.
Zeynep....sameO, sameO.
Zehir, you better get a clue, zera is
Still working for emir.
Moma fehima has gotten an eye opener in the worst way. But she can handle it.
Ok I gotta coverup the temperture has dropped here in North Florida again.
Clara, thank for this recap, just what
I needed to get the weekend started. I
Wish they were on Tonight, but I'll Settle for "the martian" on FXM or a good christmas Movie on hallmark.
Yaaah!it's the weekend.
Kirby I like your little ditty. In the spirit of "grandma got run over by a
Riendeer". Nice.
AMOR ETERNO
Hello!
Thank you for double duty Clara! This was a fun episode too. Greatly appreciate that you do this for us.
Poor Melahab! I did not see that coming nor did I realize Ayhan would keep his gas receipts. Why? Poor Melahab, maybe he can still make a replica?
What are Ayhan’s crimes? He’s told Leyla he’s never killed anyone, so why is Vildan so serious about him?
I wonder what move Asu will take when she finds out Kemal planned this all. If she’s anything like Emir, she’ll find ways to punish him. I don’t think she’d divorce him though. But really when the player gets played, can she say anything at all? She still lied about who she was and what she did.
I do remember the scene of Asu and Emir at the fancy restaurant. Emir made a comment about Ozan committing suicide, and Asu clarified if it was a suicide or a murder. Emir didn’t take it seriously. I suspected that Asu had footage of the murder, but what I don’t understand is why she’s been keeping it quiet for so long. And how does this work now that Tufan is her enemy? He might have copies of those videos too. I know this is a novela, but why is Asu always able to get the surveillance footage in both murder events, yet the police get nothing and don’t bother to check it? Weird.
I don’t understand what the heck Galip was thinking when he gave Asu his stocks. He knew that she was engaged to Kemal, so sooner or later she was going to get married and he would gain possession of them. And even if she didn’t get married, who’s to say that she was going to return them anyway? That’s the risk with these dealings, the person receiving the stocks might end up keeping them. If we look at Kemal and Messoud’s case, Messoud could exercise his rights at any time too and take the stocks whenever he wants. Also, how does Galip transferring the stocks to Asu cover up the fraud? Don’t get it.
Maybe Tariq’s message to Zeynep was basically him telling her to investigate other people to cover herself? In the time after that, she found out Hakan is being blackmailed by Emir through Shaffaq. She also knows that Banu is receiving money from Emir too. How any of this will save her, who knows.
I found it funny when the camera was placed from denise’s view as Emir huddled over the crib to ask how she’s doing. And then Nihan goes and bursts his bubble. Denise is too cute, and since she can’t reject him he’s infatuated with the idea that she’ll be the only one to love him. That might end up true. If Emir and Nihan get to divorce, he won’t want to let Denise go- for Nihan and Denise herself.
Also about the dubbing: for some reason I don’t really notice it. I think they did a good job trying to cover that up.
Kirby...ha
Amor Real
Watching these beautiful angst filled people is painful.
AMOR ETERNO
AnonFri, I pretty much have the same questions about how incidental some things are. I strap my beanie on and chalk it up to "because the writers said so!" :-)
In regards to the dubbing, I think I wouldn't have such a problem with it if the voices weren't so similar. With TNs that aren't dubbed, the voices are quite distinctive and I can multi-task and know who is talking. With AE, I can't take my eyes away from it for too long because I can't figure out who is talking without actually looking at the character. Despite this, I am still enjoying the TN very much.
As the dubbing goes, I went to YouTube
And I heard how the actors actually do sound, the tones. they pretty much sound about the same. The Turkish language sounds like a combo of Arabic & Russian. And every other word has a "sh" sound to it. Whoever they got to dub they did a real good job choosing them cuz the voices are very close to the Turkish actors actual voices. Good job uni.
Hey I know The futbol game was on fri,
But why two hours the other nights? I'm not Complaining, I enjoyed watchin two hours of kemal in all his glorious handsomeness. Lol.
AA
NiNa, because they had to fill that hour vacated by RuBitch.
They should have just done an entire hour of their stinking commercials, then they could have put the whole two hours of the show into the next hour.
! SHOCKER !: In Real Life, like watching birds or something, there are no commercials.
KARA SEVDA/AMOR ETERNO ^^^^^^ above.
I Forgot to Put it there before I went to typing.
Kirby, it would be Good if they'd do that with all the shows but those adds are Worth millions to the networks so I guess it's to hell with what we think.
I heard some where a while back that the hour shows are really about forty3
Minutes, and the rest is about 20 mins
Tv ads. So we are being cheated out of a good show cuz some body wants to sell Cat food or hemorode medicine.
$$$$$ talks.
AMOR ETERNO
AnonFri, by golly, I remember Asu's high-necked dark blouse and up-do from the dinner, but did not remember that convo. Thanks yet again. And good ideas about Nep's knowledge re Banu, Hakan. We shall see!
I'm not aware of dubbing -- but I'm usually fixed on the CC's unless I am gazing into Kemal's eyes.
Nina, thanks for your Turkish language thoughts on Kara Sevda. As for the 2 hours, seems Uni wanted to started Sin Miedo tonight, and were filling in that space.
Clara
RINGO
Thanks, Rgv Chick. Late to the patio and glad to get caught up.
Am I the only one that thinks Carrizo's daughter looks like a mini-me of Rosa? I'm wondering if that little girl is the actress's daughter.
Kirby, "Ros-a got runned over by a reindeer" too funny. I sure hope the writers have a sense of humor too and get Rosa back up on her feet.
I'm thinking there's still hope for Turco turning around. Surely, the fact that we like him better than Gloria should count for something.
