novelera, yep watching a full day late, i do catch up on weekends.
I would like this show better if Marianna, Wilson, Jorge, and Amalia's whining kid were gone.
also Vargas is too ahead of the game, cracked me up when he was in Mexico and insulted they were treating him like just another cop on the take, he well knows he's smarter then them all, also have to laugh at his obsession with chapstick after his desert romp.
we got the backstory of Rene, a revenge kick for her husband who infiltrated Guapo and was killed, but when Jones tied in with Ped and asked if that were true, Ped said they'd talk later.
I'm lost on the brothers, I'm waiting to see more, I was thinking the guy in the wheelchair was the guy Liliana married, there was no body, and he looks younger than Guapo.
Magnificent Century is my novela of choice, so I prefer watching Pacifico on the Telemundo site because I can jump back when I get lost and the editing is a bit choppy, I'm still lost how Jones/Rene got out of the church, Guerrero did leave to cut off Amalia/Ped and the regular cops were on the way but... so Jones is one of the few to see Guerrero's face.
that guy Amalia was seeing in her dreams was her mole in the Doctors operation that got killed, right?
anyway, I have no lag at the Telemundo site and this add-on to Firefox I use to block trackers also blacks out all the commercials which makes them ok somehow, just a peaceful break in the action.

and Daily Soap, https://dailysoapdish.com/, has been doing some short recaps the next day, search for Pacifico to see them all.

deb and novelera--I'm caught up, too. Monday night's recording was all about the Coronavirus. I wonder if Telemundo will skip the episode to stay on track or give us the next episode. I was on pins and needles to find out if Amalia was in good hands or bad right at the end of Friday's episode.
About the guy in the wheelchair--I thought that was El Guapo pretending to be the other brother. He had on the same shirt he was wearing when he arrived, able-bodied to visit his mother on St. Francisco Day. I think when Amalia and Gabe came calling, he chose this way to fool them and then had them ambushed in the desert.

La dona 2. What!!? Jose Luis is now beating up on Lucho rather than turning him over to the authorities or helping him to escape? Another truly disgusting scene, especially since the best option for Lucho would probably be an insanity defense and confinement in a mental hospital.

SpanProf, I agree with you about the sensible thing for José Luis to have done, but I can certainly understand and believe in the combination of disappointment and rage that resulted in his mercilessly beating on Lucho. Nor did I really mind that he did so. :-)

Well, I'm not sure how it happened so fast, but Jones and Ped went from hanging like a butchered carcass to Ped saving Amalia from her snake bite, to a shootout in the middle of the dessert, to showing up at El Guapo's mother's place only to find it empty of people, but armed with a humongous bomb with .03 seconds to go. Whew!
Whose side is Copete on now? Ped is wearing his FedPo flak jacket and he knows Jones is DEA.
Sneaky Vargas. How did he find out the cat slept with our S&M Ambassador and his wife. Nasty man to have planted a mini-bomb in the kitty's collar. I hope it fails, or if not, the cat is taking a dump in the cat box when it goes off.
Jorge is still one step ahead of Amalia in the custody case. What Lopez and Helena ought to do is open a real investigation on Jorge's One-Night-Stand with his secretary and the resulting child, instead they just sit there and wring their hands.
Oh, and Paula just can't get that Sgt. to admit to anything regarding a male prostitute wing in the cadet corps or who he knows up the chain (even though he does).
I don't care a whit about Mariana. Leave her to her fate. I know it's heartless and no one wants to grow up to be an addict, but she's been given chances over and over to get clean and stay clean and won't or can't. She's just a lost cause.

So, Amalia isn't out of danger yet. Our two boys gone rogue had better hurry. Time is running out to find her. They almost had her located. Now Vargas knows as much as Rojas and Lopez know. At least they know she's alive.
Poor Ben, he lived after the beating he got in the shower.
Poor Sgt., dead of curare. Vargas is one of the ice-coldest killers I've seen on TV. He'd better end up alive, but in a cage with scorpions and poisonous snakes.

Yep, there are some confusing gaps in how plots get resolved so quickly, but I'm just being zen about it. I love the fast pace. And I loved the loud cry of pain when Guerrero, alias lucha libre mask guy took a bullet from Rene. Yikes, he set fire to his own arm to kill germs, I suppose.

La dona 2. Yep, Halimacandy, it's amazing how incompetent Interpol is in this novela. They couldn't have anticipated that Manuel would relocate from that van right in front on the restaurant? Puh-leeze! Also, it looks as if neither Daniel or Alfonso died--but we didn't see what went down--apparently some kind of a riot. It seems as if a scene must have been cut.
La dona 2. And I suspect that even if that bomb goes off (and it probably won't), both Felina and Altagracia will survive.

Thanks, Halimacandy and SpanProf, for keeping this conversation going. I've got very little to add. I did enjoy AG's telling Noelia to stop fantasizing about Leon. Noelia tells her not to worry, and AG replies: "I'm only worried when there's reason." Wow, score one for AG.
One more thing: Lucho sees on the Internet that Diego is Braulio's son. Uh oh, will Diego join the list of innocent/sympathetic people that the writers have decided to kill off? Hope not, but with these psychopathic writers, one never knows.
I definitely want to make note of who these [expletives reluctantly deleted] writers are, so I can be sure not to watch anything they do in the future.
