Altagracia continues to be amazing and slay.

They're really driving up a will Lucho murder Diego storyline now. He enjoys toying with him but I think there was some truth in what he said about feeling alone and likes Diego to keep him company. Doubt if that will stay true for long though.

Anyone else think he is setting Diego up to be the gang leader and in true Telenovela style frames him for all his crimes. Lucho gets set off free and is the main antagonist for Season 3.

Braulio is not making it alive out of this season.

Very brief recap of Friday's episode.

Enrique shows up at Lorena's bar with $1 million to buy Crystal for Diego, but it appears that Jones was the one texting that. He’s waiting and points a gun at Enrique.

Pedraza and Amalia show up…somewhere…pretending to be people delivering something for EG. El Duende puts them through the wringer, but they have good IDs and are allowed to proceed from the town to EG’s place.

Solano has Ángel at his apartment, but handcuffed. They’re about to eat breakfast when Vargas shows up. Solano hides Ángel, along with the extra glass of orange juice I was sure Vargas would see. Vargas is angry he can’t find Ángel but he doesn’t suspect Solano.

The TV boss, producer, or whatever is working on a special to honor Susana and Roberto. He doesn’t look sad, more like looking forward to the ratings. He orders Lina to work on some show that she considers beneath her.

Enrique and Jones have a standoff with guns pointed at each other. Enrique finds out why Jones wants to kill him so badly. He says that HE is Rene’s brother and that she manipulated Jones. [I think we are meant to think she wanted Jones to kill her brother for letting her think he was dead for 5 years.] They begin to fight with their fists. Jones ends up bashing Enrique’s brains out on the floor.

Solano has gone for a shower and Ángel calls Teniente Paula. He tells her what he overheard about the memory card. Solano comes back and grabs the phone.

Jones and Lorena push Enrique’s vehicle off the cliff, with his body inside. Bursts into flames like they always do. But EG is not fooled. He says to El Duende that Enrique was not a drinker.

Paula, Rojas, and Diaz recreate the scene in the parking garage where Roberto and Susana were killed. [Something’s off about Diaz. They’ve shown him drinking and he glares at other members of the team.] During this search of the garage they find a car key. I suspect it’s Lina’s key, and when she picked up her car, she used a spare.

Pedraza and Amalia plan the entry into EG’s hideout. Jones shows up to help, peeling off the raccoon moustache after entering.

Diego meets Mariana and shows her through a very fancy, high tech lab he runs. When she asks what the big chemical words are about, he basically says to disguise cocaine. She faints. And then she calls Amalia’s voice mail. EG snatches her phone from her and continues the message to Amalia.

El Duende injects Mariana with heroin while she screams. I was expecting rape.

Amalia and Pedraza kill about 20 of Guapo’s guys. Amalia gets into the house, finds Mariana but cannot bring her out of there. Mariana is unable to walk.

EG has some guy shoot a helicopter sent by General Lopez out of the sky with a bazooka.

EG has Diego care for Mariana and says the two of them have to stay in this room. I think something was mentioned about a submarine, but I’m not positive.

some small details if I recall correctly,

the General mentioned a pharmacy which is where Amalia and Pedraza end up with a delivery, Nubia, the owner, smooths things with Duende by saying the blue pills he wants are part of it.

I think Lorena kicked Jones out as he ends up there too, confused that Amalia and Pedraza don't appreciate him.

Lina wants to be a journalist but her boss has assigned her to the entertainment department for helping Susana, when she objects he threatens to terminate her internship which means she won't graduate.

I'm totally lost that Amalia's plan didn't include plan B for extracting Mariana, at least they should have been able to hold out till the General's men swarmed the compound, now what?

La dona 2. Tom: Let's hope Lucho doesn't get away with framing Diego! Among other reasons, Lucho is just too dangerous to be running around loose. From the looks of Alfonso, not to mention all his drinking and consorting with multiple prostitutes, Altagracia would only have to have waited a few weeks and Alfonso would have been dead anyway--but I suppose that wouldn't be "revenge." And why on earth is Navarrete trying to drive a wedge between Romelia and her nieces? Could he share his son's inclinations toward near pedophilia? Deb: I am looking forward to "100 dias." I loved the male lead in "Betty en NY."
 

La dona 2. I would hate to see the character Lucho as a protagonist in anything and whether he is or not, I have no plans to watch season 3. But I am sort of looking forward to seeing how Lucho meets his end in this se

I don't know how it will end. I am assuming they didn't know a Season 3 would happen so Lucho must either die / arrested. Yet as I said earlier the actors have been supporting the fans shipping Diego and Lucho as a toxic relationship. So people think they'll be in Season 3. Have no idea how that will work but with La Dona one minute the cast is trying to kill each other and the next jumping into bed!
 

Telemundo

Sigh. Telemundo hates me. When I like a novela, they chop it up or completely stop showing it except on weekends. I was able to see the end of what they had of La Sultana, recorded on weekend, middle of the night episodes. I realize there is more about Hurrem, but I'm not into You Tube and English subtitles. I like Spanish dubbing and/or Spanish subtitles.

Now they are ending Operacion Pacifico early and, I believe, showing Reina 2 outtakes. I guess I just have to reconcile myself to the fact that my taste doesn't jibe with their usual audience. I don't look up ratings, but I assume we could have seen all 60 episodes of OP if the ratings hadn't been low. I am enjoying this novela a lot. The actors are first rate and the plot is well developed.

I also don't care for comedic telenovelas. And it seems that Erick Elias has played that bug-eyed, slapstick role a few too many times, at least to suit me. So doubt I'll watch Enamorarnos.

Tom, I don't think Lucho could succeed in setting up Diego as the head of the Rainbow Sickos. For one thing, Noelia is alive and able to testify to Lucho's role. And I think they have Lucho's mother's phone call right before she committed suicide. I think that too is damning for Lucho. However, I rather doubt that Diego will live happily ever after. Indeed, he may not live at all. As for a season 3, I've found season 2 to be VERY disappointing (to put it mildly), so I certainly wouldn't consider watching yet another season. Arrgh.

SpanProf, I too have been mystified by José Luis' behavior vis a vis Romelia and her sobrinas. He does seem to be alienate the sobrinas from her, though I can't imagine why. In tonight's episode, he said something interesting. When his lawyer said in an incredulous tone, "Don't tell me you're in love with Romelia" José Luis replied "I'm in love with making her pay." HUH??

I think Leon is now pretty sure that Felina is lying about where she was and what she's up to. She told him that she has closed down the spas, but one of her bodyguards says he went to give a message to the person in charge of the spas. Oops.

SpanProf, I'm glad you'll be watching “100 Días Para Enamorarnos.” I haven't been thrilled with the previews, but I'm definitely looking for a change of pace from La Doña2, and 100 días looks as if it will fill that bill.

I hope Diego doesn't get whacked. He is one of the few on this show who deserves to stay alive. I just don't understand why Lucho would seduce Diego and make him a partner in crime just to murder him at the end. He already has the info / plans layout. It would be a total waste of storyline. I am assuming either Diego causes Lucho downfall or Lucho spares Diego to make him seem slightly sympathetic before he gets his comeuppance. We shall see if we guess right.

The promo got released for the final which is next Monday (Apparently they cut a week out?) so it looks like we definitely getting a season 3, doesn't look good. Everyone seems to be in danger.

Karen is the worst URGH.

Law Enforcement is so terrible on this Telenovela that actually I wouldn't mind the bad guys winning. I mean it's much more believable from a narrative standpoint than them suddenly pulling out a clutch win.

Sometimes I think Diego is too stupid to live. But he’s had a hard life and I hope he survives and gets his HEA. They should send him off to his mom in Spain.

Lucho has been portrayed as a psychopath and if he truly fits that description, Diego would just be a means to an end. Once Diego has served his purpose, he’s expendable. The one thing to note is when the ish hit the fan with Eduardo, Lucho did not want to kill him. Romelia killed Eduardo and Lucho seemed truly distraught. So perhaps there is a chance that Diego will survive and possibly cause Lucho’s downfall.

Please, no Doña 3. We don’t need a La Doña en Depends super series.

La dona 2. Well, it looks as if the writers are setting up a violent confrontation between Braulio and Diego, since Romelia left the warehouse just before Braulio decided not to accompany the shipment of guns. Felina and Braulio's attack on Altagracia's smart building was kind of worrisome as well as dangerous and frightening. If Felina can close down all the exits and raise the heat to dangerous levels, other people could too. I sort of felt as I do whenever I read a news story about self-driving cars. What could possibly go wrong? Well, Karen does seem a very conscientious, honest and thorough police detective. Having the autopsy redone to show that someone had forced alcohol and pills down Alfonso's throat was what she should have done. It's the kind of thing they do on Law and Order SVU, NCIS, Chicago PD, etc.

OMFG Diego has lost the absolute plot! Lucho would be an idiot to kill him now. He is practically a walking minion for him at this point. Totally mindf*cked to obey and serve him.

Tom, where did you see a promo for the final? As for ending on Monday, the novela IS scheduled to end on Monday, but I don't think it's next Monday. 100 días is supposed to start on Tuesday, April 28, so it's likely that La Doña 2 will drag on through Monday, April 27.

I've got to say, the plot to steal the guns, etc. sounded ludicrous when Lucho proposed it, and it was even more ludicrous when Lucho et al. tried to carry it out.

Altagracia says to Leon, "You can trust me--always." Yeah, sure. It's a good thing the Pinocchio principle doesn't apply. She has told so many lies her nose would be long enough to stretch completely across Mexico.

La dona 2. Well, we learned that Braulio's employees are completely expendable, even those who are heroically loyal to him. To protect Diego from a possible murder charge, he shot that guard who had been knocked out and tied up (I think) and who came running in to tell Braulio what had happened. Even by bad guy standards that is pretty low!

@Juanita it appears the final is now April 27 / 28? So that must mean Telemundo have major fked up with airing the season finale promo? It said the Finale was next Monday.

Won't discuss the spoilers on them due to rules but as said it looks like everyone in danger. You can probably find it on YouTube or Twitter etc.

I wouldn't mind a Season 3 of this Telenovela. Just they need to get the storyline right and make it consistent throughout. They have been saying about the people Braulio / Felina deal with as very bad people etc so maybe they'd be the new major Antagonists?

Problem is Alta is a badass but been so underused this season towards the end. I wanted my strong female and instead she is changing herself to be with this guy who I am sorry is dull as ditch water. She belongs with JL and that's where the majority of the fandom is also.
