Novelera: Wake me up when Season 2 of "Enemigo" premieres on June 22nd.

100 dias. I thought it was weird that when Aurora found out about Luis's bigamy she didn't tell Jimena. Instead she has asked her to be her matron of honor. What is she up to? And I hate to say it, but that out-of-hand teen party that Daniel seems to be (not) planning, is also a bit of a cliche. Hope Pablo keeps things under control.

I'm not sure why, but the one-and-a-half part recap I posted last night for Thursday's episode appears on the previous Telemundo y Más (TyM) page rather than this one. Perhaps I was tired and accidentally posted it there. Anyway, I just wanted to let people know that it's there at the end of TyM page #1.

100 dias. Juanita: Ok. I just read the recap. Great job! Lobo is starting to look less and less like a basically good guy. Hadn't Reme already met Hilda briefly?

100 días - parte 1 de 2 el jueves

Lobo goes with Connie and Remedios to a nightclub to dance. Plutarco has listened at the door of Connie's office and has heard where they're going, so he decides to go to the same nightclub with Gloria. On the dance floor, Plutarco tries with Gloria to outdo Connie and Lobo. (Why do I feel as if I'm watching high school students?)

A sad-looking Max tells Ale that he doesn't know how to get Reme back. Ale says she's not a good one to give such advice, but she can tell him that Reme loves him a lot. Later, she tells him that Emiliano may be her biological father, but he, Max, is her FATHER.

Lobo, somewhat drunk, tells Reme that he has put the apartments that he has bought in the name of his cousin, so his ex-wife won't get a peso.

Emiliano asks Reme whether she has gone back to Max. She tells him she has not.

Aurora puts on the sexy negligée that she has bought. Jimena thinks she looks terrific in it, and Gordo won't ever want to leave the bedroom. Aurora is happy to hear this, because they have a little problem...with...propulsión, which I assume refers to his occasional inability to have an erection. Jimena claims that she and Flaco don't have such problems [liar, liar, pants on fire], but she predicts that the sexy nightgown Aurora has bought will cure him. Suddenly, Aurora catches sight of a framed photo of Jimena, Susy, and...GORDO!! Shaken, she asks Jimena who the guy in the photo is. Jimena tells her it's her husband, Luis. Aurora is shocked. Alas, she doesn't tell Jimena that that's Gordo. Instead, she says she just remembered that Nico has to get up early the next day, and she has to leave. Immediately. She races out the door still dressed in the sexy nightgown. As soon as she gets outside, she breaks down and cries.

When Aurora gets back to her apartment, Luis greets her. He tells her he thinks she's right, they should have lots of guests at their wedding. He then proposes that they wait a year to get married so they can save up. She grabs him by the neck, screams at him, calls him all kinds of names, chokes him, and tells him to die. He falls on the ground, unconscious. Oops, no, that happened only in her mind. Actually, she just looks very sad, claims she's tired and doesn't feel well, and goes to kiss Nico good night. The next morning, Luis finds Aurora and Nico gone. He calls her, leaves a message.

Reme tells Emiliano that she's no longer working as Lobo's personal assistant. It was good while it lasted, and the pay was good, but it's over (Ya valió, one meaning of which in Mexico is "it's over"). She returns home to Max, tells him Emiliano took her home but nothing happened. Max tells her he's confused, and that the best thing might be for him to go live with Dario. A short time later (a few hours? a day?), Ale sees Dario helping Max carry his things out of the house. Max tells her that things are confusing here, so he's moving out, but nothing will change. He assures Ale that he loves her.

100 días - Parte 2 de 2 el jueves

In spite of what she said to Emiliano, Reme still seems to be working for Lobo. An angry woman comes to Lobo's house demanding to see him. Reme tells her that he's not here. The woman asks if Reme is the amante of the moment. No, I'm the personal assistant of the moment. The screaming woman turns out to be Lobo's ex-wife (Hilda?). She tells Reme that Lobo has cancelled their joint account (la cuenta mancomunada) and left their daughters without a centavo. Reme brings Hilda back to her house, tells her she too is going through a divorce, and encourages her to talk. Hilda says that when she and Lobo started out, they were poor, but they had plans. They saved. That was when he wasn't famous, wasn't Lobo, he was just Fabian. But when he was converted into the Grand Lobo, he began to think he was a god. She stood by him, in spite of his infidelities, his drunkenness, his other excesses. He only met his daughters for the first time two weeks after they were born, he wasn't present for their birthdays. And now he's going to leave them penniless. Reme tells her about Lobo's putting the apartments in his cousin's name. Hilda is furious. Reme suggests hittting him where it hurts--the money. Hilda says he deserves to go to prison, she will denounce him. Reme tries to convince her that that's a bad idea, but Hilda is determined. She thanks Reme for her help and leaves.

As you all can probably gather, I pasted Juanita's recap. At the beginning of the first part it says Juanita, but the second part does.

Again, NOT MY RECAP!

I'll read it and comment later.

100 días

Thanks so very much for the fine recap, Juanita. And thanks for Ya valió. That was a new one for me. I sort of got it in context but appreciated the translation.

You could feel the sizzle between Reme and Emiliano as they sat at the bar.

I was happy to see that Ramiro let Max leave without any recriminations toward Reme and he, Reme and Ale embraced together. And, also, Ale didn't get upset with her mother. One of the things I like about this novela is more modern ideas and less TN tropes we've all seen so many times.

Tío Pablo advised Danny to take advantage of the separated-dad guilt so as to have the party at Emiliano's apartment that Plu now shares. And Danny also managed to get some money out of his father. Trouble alert: IIRC Plu mentioned to Danny that Emiliano is very fussy about his space. I think they hinted at that earlier. This is going to be quite the problem. And that rat Benjamin caused the whole thing.

Yes, Viewerville got a better look at Lobo's character. He's generous to the max with the new woman he's courting (comping her kids with tickets to see his no-hitter, massaging Pedro's cardiologist for VIP medical care, etc.) But the one he's tired of and his offspring, well...not so much.

Hilda came across as a harpy and I believe the writers wanted to keep us guessing as to which of the two: she or Lobo, was at fault in their divorce.

The nightclub scene was pure slapstick! I finally put the whole thing together in my mind. While Reme was giving Connie dance lessons at the law office, she kept mentioning perro. This rang a distant bell in my head and, sure enough, google found it:

Sandungueo, also known as Perreo, is a style of dance and party music associated with reggaeton that emerged in the late 1980s in Puerto Rico. The dance resembles twerking. This style of dancing and music was created by DJ Blass, hence his Sandunguero Vol. 1 & 2 albums. It is a dance that focuses on grinding, also known as perreo, with one partner facing the back of the other (usually male behind female). This is also known as "booty dancing" or "grinding" in the United States of America.

Well, I think it was Dondi or maybe SpanProf, who predicted a wedding wherein Luis would be revealed as a cad. I'm not sure how this is going to work. How can Aurora keep up the pretense that all is well until this happens? Surely they won't follow through with Luis' slimy suggestion that the great big wedding with hundreds of guests happen in one year. And I don't know if they'll go with Jimena flying down to Monterrey or having the wedding in Houston.

Many thanks, novelera, for posting my recap on the correct page. And many many thanks for your great comments!

I'm glad you mentioned Emiliano's being very fussy about his space. It will be interesting to see what happens if/when Benjamin gets dozens of party-goers to head for Emiliano's. I'm suspecting/hoping that Emiliano won't stand for it.

And yes, the sizzle between Emiliano and Reme at the bar was palpable. As I said in an earlier comment, Max's irresponsible behavior buying something for his guitar instead of paying the water bill has put me squarely in Emiliano's camp. (Of course, his being muy muy guapo doesn't hurt :-) ) And the sizzle at the bar makes it even harder to believe that Reme will ultimately decide to go back to shlumpy Max.

I agree that when we first encountered Hilda, she came across as a true perra. But last night I think her portrayal wasn't so one-sided, perhaps because she was enraged at how Lobo was treating his children rather than how he's treating her. And yes, I think you've nailed Lobo's M.O. Generosity at the start, and then....

Thanks for the info about Perreo. I'd never heard of it before.

I confess that I don't understand why Aurora didn't immediately burst out to Jimena: ¡tu Flaco es mi Gordo!

I'll do a mini-cap tonight.

Viernes

Jimena is showing Aurora wedding dresses on her phone. Aurora asks about her husband, Luis. Jimena pours it on about love at first sight, their passionate love. Even Comimos la torta antes del recreo (sex before marriage). Aurora looks sick.

Lobo sends Connie a box to the law office that has a ski outfit inside. He then shows up to invite her skiing. [Hmmm. I doubt pro athletes are allowed to ski. Our star pitcher for the Giants broke one of the rules in his contract, went dirt bike riding, and suffered an injury that kept him out a long time.]

Lucía tells Ale at school that she’s going to Danny’s party with Benjamin. She says she’s giving him another chance. When Ale timidly asks about the two of them, Lucía: Tú y yo, nada.

The coach doesn’t put Ale on the football team, but suggests she consider women’s soccer. And she could even get a scholarship for that.

Connie comes to see Reme to talk about what’s going on with Lobo. But Hilda either has come again or is still there from last night’s episode. Hilda tells her about Lobo freezing the joint account. Hilda puts her cards on the table, saying she knows Connie is seeing Lobo. Hilda also mentions his routine: dinner at the baseball park and invitations to go skiing. Reme tells Connie about the apartments in Lobo’s cousin’s name.

While preparations are underway for the party, Ale mentions in passing about Max moving out.

Connie asks Lobo to meet with her at the office. She shows him documents showing the fraud. He defends himself by saying his greedy ex needs a lesson. She tells him that he needs to get an agreement outside of court; because, if what he’s done comes out, they’ll eat him alive.

Danny is nervous about so many kids showing up that he doesn’t know.

Emiliano comes to see Reme to tell her he wants a relationship with her. He also mentions that Ale is at his house for a party.

I thought Gloria was done with Plu, but they are at some bar drinking mojitos and she’s all over him like a cheap suit.

Aurora leaves for Mexico with Nico. But she hears some call-in show where I think one of those radio shrinks advises someone to fight for her man. She turns around and goes back. Luis has slept through all this. But she smashes his truck with a baseball bat.

Marlene calls Connie shrieking about the party and how Connie is a mother who doesn’t care anything about where her children are.

It looks like Emiliano’s apartment grew some. The party is in full swing, with those tell-tale red plastic beer cups everywhere. Lucía meets Mariana, tells her she and Benjamin aren’t together (I think she’s gone off him because of the boorish behavior at the party) and she’s welcome to him. Lucía tells Mariana that Ale doesn’t really like anyone. Mariana turns to her and says, without a judgmental tone, that she must like girls. Ale tells her yes. But Lucía swears to Mariana that she only likes boys.

Connie calls Plu, upset about the party. He’s pretending he’s there supervising. But she tells him Marlene is going to call the police!

When our four protagonists arrive at the party, Benjamin makes a remark about Connie being a stripper arrived to entertain them. Connie lights into Plu at the party. She tells him he goes out with young girls, and lets this party happen. She says he ruins everything he touches. Connie throws out the kids. Ale apologizes to Emiliano.

We see two good mothers at work here. Both Connie and Remedios are upset with their children and won’t listen to any excuses. Ale takes it pretty well, but Danny later behaves like a brat. But his mother shuts him down and fast.

Lucía shows up at Ale’s house because Marlene was, big surprise, insufferable. Ramiro told her she could come in. Remedios insists she call her mother, and Reme speaks to the gorgon. Ale is not interested in having Lucía there and doesn’t even stay in the same room.

SpanProf: How's the Protagonista doing so far ?

199 dias. That party wasn't nearly as wild and destructive as I had expected. Destroying Luis's truck was really stupid. I'm still surprised that Aurora didn't tell Jimena about Luis's bigamy. What could she possibly be planning? Steve: If by protagonista you mean Connie, she made a very wise decision in breaking up with Lobo and gave him some very good basic legal advice.

Thanks VERY much, novelera, for this excellent recap. I confess that parts of the episode went in one ear and out the other without coming near my brain, so I found your recap especially helpful.

Speaking of something not coming near one's brain, life must be like that for Aurora. How else are we to understand that, knowing her beloved Gordo has been deceiving her for nine or ten years, Aurora thinks she can somehow win him over? And that she would want to be married to a two-timing liar? And though I understand the rage that led her to smash up Luis' truck (and I cheered every swing of the bat), it seems to me a foolish thing to do, especially in broad daylight when there could have been witnesses and the possibility of being arrested. If she wants vengeance, she should probably tell Jimena that Luis has been two-timing both of them--for years.

The so-called adults really dropped the ball when they let their children host a party with no adult supervision. Then again, the so-called adults mostly seem to act like children themselves.

Thank you once again, Juanita and novelera, for the recaps. They are wonderfully helpful.

A few comments on recent episodes.

When Hilda recounted to Reme what happened between her and Lobo, she said it was her fault for not putting a stop to it. And Reme agreed. Not sure if I misunderstood something but that did not sit well with me.

Yes, Juanita, there’s a lot of childish behavior going on here and I don’t necessarily mean the teens. Connie commented to Reme in one scene, we’re worse than our kids. She got that right. Aren’t the adults a little too young to be having mid-life crisis?

Regarding Aurora not telling Jimena: maybe she was too shocked? Too embarrassed to be taken as such a fool? In denial? Her character seems to be going through stages of grief. Also remember Jimena is her friend and has been her support throughout. She may be reluctant to hurt her.

What was the point of Isabel meeting and making an appointment with Emiliano? Just to out Fernando? To lead to Pedro having a pre heart attack? Could anything happen between Isabel & Emiliano?

If I had to predict right now, Connie and Plu reconcile and Reme remains single.

Dondi, I think I understood what Hilda was saying about "not putting a stop to it". I believe this happens a lot with athletes' wives. Young guys and perhaps young guys without much education, come into a LOT of money. And they travel with the team and, perhaps, women they meet out and about flirt (and more) with them.

The wife, perhaps the woman he married before he got all that money, may put up with infidelity to not "rock the boat", not lose the guy entirely if she still loves him, or may just not want to lose a luxurious lifestyle.

I think Hilda meant that she should have given him an ultimatum when he first betrayed her or just left then rather than put up with years of humiliation.

"100 DIAS":

Novelera: Hilda should've done a background check on the dude.
