100 días REPOSTED FROM PAGE 1

I'll get this in under the wire and maybe repost when the new page opens.

Thanks so very much, Juanita, for the fine recap.

Last night was very confusing for me.

And, dondi, it looks like you have the same sweet tooth for Fabián Ríos as I do. I have had a mad crush on him for years, not quite as bad as the one for Fernando Colunga, but close. It was helped by seeing a video, can't remember where, of him talking about his family life in Florida. Seems like a really nice guy as well as being smoking hot!

Yeah, that "left at the altar" thing came out of nowhere. And introducing such a fine actor at the 11th hour?

I can't wait for the confrontation between Jimena and Aurora. And THAT'S why Marlene was at the bowling alley. I confess I had to look up boliche when they discussed it before actually going there. That's a new one for me.

I wasn't sure if Carlos was an assistant or a new lawyer, but your recap cleared that up for me.

I think the attractive blonde at the airport is Davíd Chocarro's wife. I saw a You Tube of the two of them doing the tango on some TV show when I was randomly googling his name. They've been married over 10 years and have two daughters.

Many thanks, novelera, for your interesting comments. I was especially encouraged to learn that you found the episode confusing. I assumed it was just me.

I do think that the "left at the altar" thing may have been mentioned once in an earlier episode. I think Connie was talking to her mother. Or perhaps to Reme? I don't recall. Though I do think it was mentioned, I couldn't (and still can't) remember who broke things off. It didn't seem all that important at the time. And perhaps not even now :-) .

Thanks for mentioning that the blonde is actually David Chocarro's wife, and that there was a YouTube video of them doing the tango. I LOVE watching people dance the tango, so I went and found it. And how interesting that the character who can't make a commitment in 100 días has in RL been married to the same woman for 10 years.

Another disjointed episode. Here's some bare bones

The mamis are planning something. Prom? They discuss flights. Wow! My high school prom was at the gym and later we went on a hayride.

Some promoter saw Max on the internet and wants him to move to Miami for 6 months to do demos and maybe get a recording contract.

The law firm is planning their annual getaway and Plu asks Pablo to arrange it.

Pilar keeps looking longingly at Emi while they discuss the low-income medical service they're planning.

Luis is now obsessed with Gloria and visits both Plu and Emi to discuss. >>>>FF

Mónica has given Iván Connie's address and he shows up there. He's hinting he still has a thing for her.

Roberto shows up at the diner shortly after Mariana leaves the booth. Already knows Dani. How?

Fer and Isa have sex.

Emi buys Alex a scooter.

Mariana has not come to school and is not answering Dani's calls. He decides to go to see her.

The new assistant at the law firm (forgot his name) suggests something like a GoFundMe to Pablo to raise money to invest in the diner.

Dani is in the hospital and the whole cast rallies around. I assume something happened with Roberto but we aren't shown or told anything.

Fer won't tell Pablo what's bothering him.

Thanks very much, novelera, for your succinct but complete recap. I'm glad you commented on the episode's being disjointed. It sure seemed that way to me.

Well, at least now we know that it was Connie who broke off the engagement to Ivan lo those many years ago, and apparently Ivan has never really gotten over it. I was a bit surprised when Ivan just shows up at Connie's house without warning, having gotten her address from Mónica. I was also surprised that Connie just opens the front door to anyone who knocks without first looking to see who is there. Especially since I think she may have been home alone.

I think Roberto was a fan of Dani's performance as a DJ. Alex asked Dani how he knew Roberto, and I think that may be what Dani said in response.

It looks as though Pablo's gaydar may have accurately identified Carlos as a person of interest.

The whole business of Dani in the hospital was bizarre. We're never told what happened (though I think you're probably right that it had something to do with Roberto), and for some reason neither Connie nor Plutarco seem to know about this. It's Ramiro who is at the hospital and who tells Pablo that Dani is awake and Pablo can go see him.

The last few minutes of tonight's episode were given over to the "behind the scenes" explanations. I tend to find these not very interesting, but there was one revelation tonight that made me laugh. It turns out that the actors who play Marta and Alex are in real life mother and daughter!

100 dias. Great recap, novelera, all the essentials! I think the mamis were planning some kind of senior-class trip. I'm almost certain that the gaps in this episode were caused by the coronavirus's stopping the filming. Evidently the law firm retreat was a big deal and Plutarco and Connie ended up kind of reconciling because of it. Roberto seems to have beaten up Dani because Dani was trying to get him to stop stalking Mariana. But we don't know what happened to Mariana, whether Roberto was arrested, etc. And of course, any additional filming is probably handicapped because both Florida and Houston are now having huge pandemic outbreaks. You'd think that they could add some info in Behind the Cameras or as some kind of afterward about exactly what was eliminated.

Thank you for the recap, novelera. Disjointed is a very good description. Also, Fabián Ríos was one of my main reasons for sticking with the Sin Seños franchise. And thanks for the info on David Chocarro & his wife.

Luis is a very sick person. He says he needs danger in his life, and he wants Plu’s permission to pursue Gloria. But then he says he will fight to keep Jimena and worry about Aurora later? Is there enough time left for him to get the new love of his life, Gloria, pregnant? Good grief, he even tries to hit on Tere and Emi’s assistant (drawing a blank on her name). Enough.

That was some business retreat. There was a tantric sex class?

Behind the scenes stuff is a bit more interesting with an action series. I like SpanProf’s idea to use that time to fill in the episode gaps.

Did I see semana final?

Sure sounds like it.

Muhteşem Yüzyıl / Magnificent Century #123, #124, #125

Şehzade Mustafa & Şehzade Cihangir: Allah rahmet eylesin. Mekanin cennet olsun.

Since I knew what was coming, I delayed watching these episodes. Difficult to watch. Very emotional. Amazing acting from everyone. We have spent so much time with these characters, it’s hard to see them exit.

I know there is still debate on the guilt or innocence of Mustafa. The writers chose a side. I suppose they had to play it up for the sake of the drama. If you read the blog transcript, the blogger wrote some interesting notes on what happened in Turkey after #123 aired.

Hurrem and Rustem: be careful what you wish for. I can hardly wait for karma to catch up with them. Especially that dog, Rustem. Ozan Güven is great.

How is Hurrem going to choose between her two remaining sons? Didn’t she realize what would happen once Mustafa was out of the picture?

Coward Selim, pukes again. Can this guy really rule an empire?

Poor little Şehzade Mehmet. Hurrem made sure his fate was sealed.

How could Mihrimah think Mustafa would be ok? Ha, she gave orders to the guards to hand over Rustem to the mob. They just stared at her.

At least Sümbül is still around to provide some relief from the misery. Hey, is Hurrem responsible for making coffee popular in the Ottoman Empire?

Suleiman has become weak, jealous, and paranoid in his old age. I laughed when Kara asked for a guarantee of protection. When the Sultan promises protection (Ibrahim & Mustafa), it’s really the kiss of death! “When a man makes a promise, Satan goes after that very thing.” Wow.

Muhteşem Yüzyıl / The Magnificent Century

dondi- thanks so much for your comments, I'm glad you are enjoying this as much as I am.

I'm in the middle of #128, the shows seem to be over 2 hours lately, and a dark cloud is hanging over everyone since Mustafas death, (I see in wiki the ratings also dropped a bit) it's as if the deck has been reshuffled and everyone is playing a new hand, who are the good guys again?

I think Suleiman said early on, making jewelry taught him patience, haven't seen any new items in a while.

getting tired of Sümbül, tell us already!

why do I keep comparing Hurrem's freckles to Howdy Dowdy?

a scene I enjoyed recently, Atmaca and Rusty, hands around each others throat with eyes popping, break it up guys says... (how does one get rid of this Rust guy anyway)

I'm pretty much sticking with youtube only till I finish, I'm amazed that they even dared make this, will they do one about George Washington and his slaves next, it would have been so wonderful to be an original viewer, following the comments.
