Continued prayers for the safety, protection and help for all in the path of the storm! Okay, Peeps, here’s my attempts at a bullet lists Please use it as a springboard for discussion or just discuss and describe last night’s action however you wish. Big thanks to Anita, who is covering Friday night. I hope to pop in sometime tomorrow and over the weekend.
Gonzalo has invited most of the medical team to a big medical conference in Puerto Villarta. Rene will be left in charge of the Instituto. Constanza is not impressed, thinks he’s a loser; Miryea thinks he’s hot and they will use the opportunity to sell supplies from their earlier over-purchase.
Cinthia and Daniel continue to reject Rafa who shoots up, gets wasted and busted by Marco. In a stoned stupor, he prescribes a powerful dose of opioids to a patient. Marco stops the overdose; takes over the case and leverages the knowledge of Rafa’s drugging (he also sees him popping pills later) to get to do real Doctor stuff so he can show the Instituto what he’s made of.
Miryea notes supplies missing from the supply room; tells Regina about it who agrees there is no way the ER used all the material. Miryea suggests one of the Residents might be stealing. The closing scene is Regina lining them up, giving them the low down and telling them now is the time to speak. Diego looks justifiably guilty, having shipped off another box of lifted stuff that very day.
Art sucks up to Regina at a quinceañera party thrown for Flor. David leaves early. Prior to the party, he had updated Regina on the successful outcome of the declaration the great job Roberto did. He didn’t see Art behind the door. Art had to be a buttinsky and mock David’s gesture of rescue toward Regina. He did so with an arrogant air and cocksure smile. Regina breaks it up.
David gives Daniel advice on luuuurve! Gabriel is hard to wake up. Ana the be-yatch is not invited to the quinceañera.
Ok, have at it and have fun!
Univision is doing major surgery on this program. Much of what seems to be missing now is about bedside manner, as in the Heart. There was a case missing about an elderly woman with a respiratory problem that came from the guano generated by pigeons. The lady spent a lot of her time feeding pigeons in a nearby park.
Also missing was discussion of a professional event in Puerto Vallarta. Daniel, Regina, David, and Ana were invited. Daniel doesn't want to go. Ana saw the guest list and told Martita to give her the room next to David's; Martita said that was not within her control.
Caro and her parents were at the party; she brought a gift for Flor, who looked very pretty in the dress Arturo bought for her.
Marco stitched up a knee injury but boasted about it to Lili, who rolled her eyes. He was not the only one who picked up on Rafael's problem; Lucas knows something is fishy.
Prayers are on the way and will keep coming until you give us some news LILA. I was "down for the count" yesterday with some gastro stuff but am ready to focus on you and yours now.
You did a super job of condensing!!!!!! Just great, but with a little LILA salt, pepper and hot sauce thrown in. Especially Arturo's way.
URBAN...Thanks for the info on the deleted scenes. Why oh why the scissors UNI? The wheedling of Ana about room placement was just ugh!
Lila, first, I will be continuing to pray for you and your family. I can only say that I believe in the power of prayer and in miracles. God bless.
Short, sweet and savvy. “Rene will be left in charge of the Instituto. Constanza is not impressed, thinks he’s a loser; Miryea thinks he’s hot”…To each his own, right? Color me nauseous professionally and personally. Blech!
I have to admit I was surprised Rafa was so utterly careless. It seems Daniel's overreaction and Cin's dismissal pushed him over the edge (so to speak). We are aware of the extent of his drug use but we really know little about him. Is it recreational drug use gone horribly wrong? Or, are there deeper seeded issues? And finally, Marco's existence serves a purpose - saving the patient from Rafa's mistaken dosage. Yes, the secret is out. It will be interesting to see where things go from here.
A moment of truth for Diego. Will he confess and beg forgiveness or remain quiet??
I enjoyed Flor's party and it was nice to see Caro seeing her mother in a different light.
Art is indeed arrogant. A perfect description.
Urban, do we know why this is being shredded?? Are they chopping so they can begin the new Angelique Boyer TN?? I would think the ratings are good. What a shame but unfortunately no surprise from UNI.
Judy, I hope you feel better...
Lila, thank you again and heartfelt wishes for all of you.
Diana
"Rene in charge? Oh oh! What could possibly go wrong?" had me chuckling SpanProf!
Guess we will find out shortly. :)
Diana
Lila, thank you so much for the recap despite going to the hospital with your loved one. I am sending mucho good vibrations out to you and yours.
OT....Judyb..I have been thinking of you and wanted to email you, but I couldn't find your email address. Vivi emailed me the other day.
Well, things will probably best up in David-Regina- Art triangle . . Meanwhile, with the car away , those two mice (rats) will play . These writers keep the story moving forward . Too bad Uni is slicing and dicing. They seem to be in a hurry for......what ??
Lila--I watched the whole thing. Thank goodness there was a recap.
My Patio Chair has wheels, and I'm slowly moving away from Art and sliding toward David's Patio table. They are certainly showing Art in a different light. He's a buttinski and seems to enjoy sticking a knife into people--well, David--and then turning it. There is no necessity for that type of behavior. They are doctors.
Well, I'm gearing up my loins for tonight. I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of hi-jinks and room switching and misunderstandings.
By the way...who is Lucas? I know there is a new named nurse called Clara.
Like JudyB, I've come down with something or other I can't name. It involves aches and light-headedness. I slept for 12 hours last night and feel a little better. However, never fear, there WILL be a recap. Maybe tomorrow.
Tania and Rafa did wrong (in Cinthia's and Daniel's eyes) but not really. Cinthia's reaction to Rafa is justified, since he's been trying to "get with" her for so long. But her reaction to Tania is not. Tania didn't do anything to her. Daniel's reaction to both Rafa and Tania is not justified. He feels betrayed by them but it's all in his head. But the biggest head scratcher in this story arc is Rafa's reaction to Tania. He absolutely has no right to treat her like he's doing. He is being a total jerk to her while all she wants to do is fix her(friends only) relationship with Daniel. Rafa is being a jackass. Plus, Tania has absolutely no idea why Cinthia is coming down on her so hard. She doesn't have an inkling that it has to do with Rafa. That's not even on her radar. Tania is the biggest loser in this quadrangle.
Thanks, Lila. Art is revealing his arrogance and you describe him with biting detail. I'm so sorry your family member has been hospitalized. So difficult, especially at this time, to have a loved on in the hospital. Sending up prayers. (((())))
JudyB and Anita, hope you're feeling better soon.
Has anyone heard from Nina?
Drat, why on why is Uni bringing out the scissors? Ugh, Rafa endangered a patient's life, but Marcos to the rescue. If he ever gets that chip off his shoulder, Marcos would make good galan.
I have been seeing a lot of promos for the new show starting Angelique Boyer.
Has anyone watched the Masked Singer show on Uni ? I enjoyed this season of the U.S. Masked Singer show. It was a welcome distraction from reality .
Anita, sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Hugs to you and Judy to feel better soon!
Yes Niecie, where is Nina? I also miss Nina and Kirby very much.
Susanlynn, the promos for the new show look fab. Susana Gonzales (my favorite) is also in it and several other great actors.
Anita, I don't know who Lucas is either. I thought it might come to me but zip, nada, nothing.
Diana
I hope Nina and Kirby check in and let us know that tbey are okay.
After another nap, I think I'll be ok.
Nina has made some comments on Daytime. She wondered if anyone was watching something on Galavision.
Susanlynn, JudyB, Doris-I heard from Vivi. She's fine, working remotely. She asked about the three of you.
No word from Kirby. I think the hurricane missed him.
Thanks everybody for the good wishes. I'm still a bit wobbly today, but hopefully by tomorrow will be feeling more normal. Like ANITA, I've seen NINA check in briefly on the Daytime page. Kirby commented once on the ridiculous heavy eyebrows on two of the female leads in Como Tú No Hay Dos, but that was at least a month ago. SUSANLYNN, if you click on my avatar, you'll find my email address. And glad that several of you have heard from Vivi. She is one of the special people I miss on this, but aren't we glad that LILA has returned!
And so happy to know that others sometimes "merge" names. I'll mess up somebody's moniker saying Luis instead of Leo and just explain "But it was in the L-part of my brain! Which is evidently what happened to "Lucas".
Thanks Lila!!
I’ve always thought art was arrogant, last night just proved it. He’s been going on and on about how the way David reacted is wrong, how he made things worse for Regina, blah blah blah.. but now that he heard Regina being thankful to David he has to interrupt with his “I would have done the same thing!” NO YOU WOULDN’T HAVE! If he would have done the same thing then why has he been ragging on David for days and days? Ugh.
Was Rafa sleeping outside for hours? And no one noticed? We saw him when it was daytime and the next time we saw him (still outside) it was starting to get dark
min. Comcast is across the Potomac, but many times the screen freezes.
Also be on notice that if there's a lot of text messaging, I just can't stop the action and try to read them. Can't cope with all the up and down.
Susanlynn, glad to hear your friends came through Laura ok.
Two hours of Medicos wiped me out. Fortunately I understood just about everything.
Recap tomorrow. So, Art got in the first kiss. Rather bland. Ana just won't give up Rene is nothing but pond scum.
THANK YOU!! Everyone who sent well wishes and prayers! It was a successful procedure. It is a journey, there will me more steps for us; we're taking one day at a time.
Thank you, Anita!! I was able to watch last night and it WAS very understandable to me, too. It would make a great Spanish lesson! Glad you feel better; take your time!
Art got in the first kiss. Rather bland. TOTALLY AGREE!! GUACALA!
JudyB, glad you feel better, too! And Vivi!! WOW, a wonderful person and CARAY legend! Glad she's doing well.
See y'all later!
After two more naps I need to transcribe my notes and post. Thank you all for waiting. It was a fun episode.
Bless you ANITA. I well understand the need for a lot of rest amiga. And pleased that you were able to see this as a "fun episode". For me, I had to fast forward through every scene with René and Mireya. Just don't have the resilience right now to deal with awful people, however fictitious, doing horrible things to others, inflicting needless pain and suffering (Mireya-Cecilia) and undermining decent folk like Gonzalo (Marco-René.
On the plus side, it was nice to see all these gorgeous people in equally gorgeous clothes. Regina definitely won the fashion sweepstakes with that white ensemble. But Tania looked good in her red, and Arturo, though I'm not a fan, certainly rocks any blue shirt.
First, Lila, so glad and relieved that the procedure was successful! We are all rooting for you. One step and one prayer at a time.
Anita, the most important thing is that you take care of yourself. Recapping one hour is often daunting, let alone two hours when you not feeling well.
I suspected that the conference would provide a showcase for our characters to strut their stuff. They made excellent use of the opportunity to sport non-surgical gear. And Judy, I totally agree that Regina looked magnificent, Grecian goddess regal in white. Simply stunning. Tania and Ana also looked great as did David and Art. Nothing Cin wore seemed to stand out and Daniel and Rafa looked as though they were spending a night at home :)
Judy, glad you are better and am hoping you feel better shortly Anita.
Diana
I loved Regina's white dress. Far classier than any of the other women's resort clothes (especially Ana's).
I am most definitely not a resort vacationer.
Well, that was an episode designed to let our characters wear some cute outfits for some fun and sun at the beach .
Judyb...I had the same thought that Regina in that white gown looked like a goddess stepping right out OF a Grecian urn. I do wish there had been a bit less fabric in the front .
I guess we knew that Reg would at some point see David and sneaky clinging vine Ana together and think they were a couole.
I agree that the kiss was meh. Art loved those sunglasses . Does anyone remember the character in AV That we nicknamed Dances with Sunglasses 😎? He was a scoundrel but a good dancer and rocked those shades .
Anita, I hope that you are feeling better.
Just don't have the resilience right now to deal with awful people, however fictitious, doing horrible things to others, inflicting needless pain and suffering (Mireya-Cecilia) and undermining decent folk like Gonzalo (Marco-René.
Amen to that, JudyB! I know it's silly, but I actually had a physiological reaction to that, the Marco stuff and Regina rejecting David after merely seeing him with Ana outside David's room. Well....more on that later.
Diana! Thank you SO MUCH!! I know I was led back to CARAY for a reason. Bless you!
Anita, I am also glad you found it fun! I and the WHOLE PATIO THANK YOU!! Yes, please, take care of yourself first! We'll welcome the post with gratitude whenever you make it!
I LOVED DAVID'S BODY!!! He's the WHOLE PACKAGE from head to toe: muscular but not grotesquely so and it's not just men who appreciate legs: David's got 'em. Hmmmm, they used to call a woman's legs "yams," don't know if men's legs ever had a name. Sorry, y'all, hot temper, hot body. . . TEAM DAVID!!! Wait til HE kisses you Regina: you'll forget whatever that was Art did last night!
LILA, so glad there's another "leg woman" on the Patio. I love David's legs, and agree, the whole package is just muscular enough. Not too much. I still remember freshman year in college, first semester had the usual rotund, knowledgeable middle-aged professor. Second semester, a young prof, tennis player, and you could see the outline of his fabulous calves underneath his discreet gray flannels. I don't remember much about Western Civilization but I'll remember those legs till my dying day.
Susanlynn, yes, I do remember Dances with Sunglasses in Amores Verdaderos.
Francisco Gattorno who is always great - there, in love with Susana Gonzales. He did repent and was released to her waiting arms after a stint in jail. The man can move!
Lila and Judy, I see I've been missing something - David's lower extremities. I will be sure to keep my eyes open...:)
Diana
HA! LOVE IT! JudyB!
Diana, yes, if you've got the episode on demand, go back and look at that scene: he's chatting with Regina outside their adjoining rooms. Oooo, most delish!
No matter what happens, he has wiped "Octavio" from my mind!
Yah, what kiss? And Luis needs to mind his own business.

Misunderstandings Abound
Several Parts
Before heading for the conference, Regina has lined up all the 1st year residents and is giving them what-for, for the missing supplies. She wants the one responsible to come forward. No one does. Awkward silence. Finally Diego weakly says something that maybe in the recent turmoil, someone miscounted. That’s not good enough for Regina. They are to check, recheck and check again. If she learns that it is one of them, there will be serious consequences. (So why hasn’t anyone installed cameras when stuff started going missing? Naturally, not as dramatic. In a large hospital like that, wouldn’t they at least have a staff member getting and dispensing the supplies?)
Marta takes some last minute instructions from Gonzalo. They include requests to send in to the Secretary of Health, the electrical upgrades, the new contract for accounts receivable, upgrading the elevators and revamping the air conditioning system. Oh, and Castillo will be taking his place while he’s away. Marta hesitates, none to pleased, but agrees.
Luis is hoping for a quiet few days. He’s in the break room with Art. He urges Art to go ahead and win the affection of Regina, now that they are both unattached. Luis knows Art feels something for her. Art doesn’t deny it. He declares his feelings for her and plans to pull out all the stops to win her. Art is pleased with his decision, they have so much in common, including temperament. Luis urges Art to take it slow.
Rafael in packing. He hesitates for a nano-second and then tosses down a couple of his little helpers.
Tania and Pamela seal their friendship. Pam says her dad always supported her decision to become a doctor.
Luis is tucking Gabe into bed. He and Susana are still concerned about his lethargy. He’ll run some test tomorrow at the hospital to eliminate some possibilities.
Puerto Vallarta
It’s check in time at the luxury hotel where the conference is being held, where all the doctors and residents from the Institute will be housed. The men are dressed in beach casual. So are the women, except Cinthia who wears a long white, button up gown.
Mexico City
Pam, Diego and Marco have been left behind. Marco is whining again about the scutwork he’s been assigned. Pam seems to have the lead over the two men. The men start arguing. Out of nowhere, Castillo and Luis show up. Rene barks out his new orders. They are to report every little thing as soon as it happens. The new orders include being more discretionary about admitting patients—if they can walk in, haven’t lost their appetite and can go to the bathroom by themselves—send them home. This is not a hotel. If they can pay, that’s ok. Rene leaves. Luis tells the startled residents to ignore Castillo and keep doing what they’re already doing.
Puerto Vallarta
David and Reggie meet upstairs outside their side-by-side rooms. He says it seems it’s been arranged so they can spend more time together. Reggie is pleased because this way she’ll get to know him better. She really only knows him from work. David calls her back to tell her she’s the last woman he wants to get to know. Reggie looks a little uncomfortable, but turns and they go into their respective rooms.

Rene, meanwhile is “working” in his golf putting skills. He sees the requests Gonzo left behind. He takes them and puts them in a separate folder. Marta enters. She’s surprised to see him in Gonzo’s office. The imperious little prick reminds her this is the office of the director and as long as he’s acting director. Marta grabs the folders, but not the ones with the upgrades. He tells her he wants coffee. She tells him where he can find his own coffee and leaves. (Poor Rene, he just can’t get no respect.)
Luis meets Susana and Gabe at the front entrance. He explains to Gabe why they want him to take these tests.
Puerto Vallarta
Reggie and David are in a swimming pool, but not exactly plunging or swimming. Art excuses him self when Reggiie calls him over. He’s going to get drinks. She asks David why they don’t get along. Dave says they move to different rhythms. Reg asks him what is his? Dave answers that he learned life is short and he loves the pace in the ER. Reg continues to draw him out and he finally reveals that when he was little he had a problem with his foot. All the doctors told him nothing could be done. Then he met Dr. Herrera, who not only told he could operate, but he’d have to go through some excruciating rehab. He was right about that. That was what inspired him to become a doctor. Dave tells her only Gonzo knows and now Regina. She appreciates his confidence in her. He finishes by telling her she is one of the few people that understand him, so that is why she is so special to him.
Cinthia and Daniel walk away from the beach. Cin admits to having had feelings for Rafa, but not anymore. Rafa is still a playboy and will do anything to get a girl he’s interested in. Rafa has no idea how his actions hurt other people. They agree to stop talking about Rafa.
David and Reggie shake on their new-found friendship. She leaves with Cin for a date at the spa. Later, Reggie meet at their respective hotel room doors. She entices him to come down to dinner, although his reluctance was won over by telling him she’d be waiting for him.
Nighttime and the livin’ is easy. David has not shown up for their joint dinner, giving Art an excuse to take a dig at Dave. David is antisocial, he says. Regina is preoccupied and goes upstairs to look for him. Meanwhile, upstairs, David is innocently dressing to go downstairs when there is a knock at the door. Ooops, it’s not Regina, but Ana, who breezes in without an invitation with a bottle of wine and two glasses. He tries to tell her he was on his way downstairs to dinner, but Ana is not to be deterred, Ana has already poured the wine. She tries to harken back to the good old days. David says that was a long time ago and they ended it for the good of both of them. Ana pushes a glass of wine on David. He drains the glass and heads for the door. Meanwhile Reggie is on her way up and when she steps out of the elevator, she sees Dave and Ana emerging from his room. She kisses his cheek and bounces off. Reggie turns and flees back into the elevator. (Misunderstanding No. 1.)
Mexico City
Mireya and Rene ponder the possibilities they can accomplish in Gonzalo’s office while he’s away. (Ewww.) He shows Mireya what he can do with Gonzalo’s reports. Mireya, with a smidge of conscience tells him if he does that the Institute will cease to function. Rene, without a shred of conscience, tears up the reports. Hey, he says, things get lost all the time. Mireya is still a bit bothered by her conscience. But not Rene. After all, Gonzo chose to go the conference instead of staying here and running things. He’s sure that the Secretary of Health will see who is the best director. Himself. Mireya softens a bit. Constanza calls, but Mireya has his attention—as she unzips her long side zipper.

Reggie returns to the table. David never answered her knock. He probably went to bed. She gets up to leave and Art jumps up to be the devoted swain. She doesn’t see David as he approaches the table, but he sees her leave with Art. Reggie has agreed to take in some of the nightlife in P.V. (Misunderstanding No. 2) Meanwhile, David wonders where Reggie is and the table mates said she went up to look for him. No doubt they crossed paths.
Rafa is the bar fly at one of the nightclubs. A cute fly approaches. The do the usual and he offers her a couple of sips from his drink. Long story short. One of her companions collapses on the dance floor. Rafa instinctively goes to the guy. He’s not breathing. He starts CPR. It’s a non-starter. Rafa leaves the scene in the EMT’s hands and heads for the docks. He looks at his pills and debates silently to himself. He throws them in a nearby trash can.
Art and Reg walk slowly along the edge of the water. He can tell she’s bothered by something. She feels disappointed and who she thought about someone turns out not to be true. Art thinks she’s talking about Sergio but she says no. He talks about his breakup with Cecelia. When someone begins a relationship, it’s easy to ignore certain signals. He’s pretty persuasive. Reggie thinks he may be right. Now he wishes he had waited a little longer to find the right someone who shares his passions, understands him, sees him through good times and bad. He takes her hands and moves in or a kiss. She kisses him back but no sparks fly. She finally breaks the kiss. He says he’s not putting any pressure on her, he just wants her to know how he feels about her. He won’t let her talk. She has great esteem for him and loves him (querer), but she doesn’t think that’s what he’s looking for. Walking back along the hotel hallway she finally is able to get a few more words in edgewise. She doesn’t want him to build up any illusions. She doesn’t want to hurt him. She’s not sure this is the right moment for her. He insists, why not? They’ve both ended relationships. He sees her to her door, but that’s as far as he gets. David walks back to his room alone, after Art leaves.
Mexico City
Luis and Susana administer some eye drops to Gabe. He’s anxious about the results of his tests. They might find something wrong. Luis reassures him. If they do, it’s early days to treat him and of course he has his dad.
Rene is practicing his putting. Luis just walks right in, madder than a hornet. He should never have taken it upon himself to discharge, of all people, Flor who needs that heart transplant. Rene says he looked at her chart and made the decision. When Luis protests, Rene reminds him he’s a doctor, too. If Luis doesn’t like following orders, he can be dismissed. His decision to discharge patients is his and it’s final.
A woman patient comes in to ER. Marco is certain she’s just drunk and needs to sleep it off at home, not taking up a bed in ER. Diego is trying to take her history. He gets very angry with Diego. He pushes his weight around saying Pam and Diego don’t know what they are doing. Unknown woman starts to vomit. When she does it again, it looks like she passed out. Diego calmly asks for the equipment for intubating her. After it’s all over, Pam said how could this have happened. Marco is still trying to blame it on his fellow residents’ incompetence.
Puerto Vallarta
At breakfast al fresco the next morning, Reggie is sitting alone. Dave asks if he can join her. They both hedge about where they were that they missed each other. Reg tells him she was a bit disappointed in him. He always keeps his word. They had agreed to see each other at dinner. They were about to tell each other some truths when Art shows up (he’s a little skinny for me, but those sunglasses make him look mighty find. Then the rest of the team shows up,. Bubbly Ana takes a seat next to dour Dave. Reg’s demeanor indicates she’s reading more into this than is merited.

Luis calls Gonzo to tell him Rene’s latest orders to discharge patients who are still under observation. Gonzo says he’ll take care of it. Gonzo reaches Rene, who is still working on his putting skills and chews him out. Rene makes himself comfortable and explains he has every right to take the reins. He promised to help Gonzo while he was away and he is. Rene said the discharged patients were stable. This isn’t a hotel he reminds Gonzo. Gonzo insists on being a part of any medical decision. The very uppity Rene says he’s trying to bring some order to what was utter chaos under Gonzo. He tells him his doctors are too emotionally involved with the patients. He’s sure when Gonzo returns he will see the wisdom of his new orders.
Gonzo brings his team together o talk about Rene and what he’s been up to. They are appalled, but concede he has the authority while in an acting position. Gonzo feels he should return. They tell him no way. He still has to give the closing remarks. Well, Gonzo promises that Rene will hear about this caper.
Mexico City
Luis storms in ready to give the three residents the devil. How could this have happened—to the woman who had to be intubated. Diego finally outs that he and Marco didn’t agree on the diagnosis. Marco resents getting the blame. When Luis directs his comments to Pam, she backs up Diego. Marco didn’t want to treat her at all. Luis blows his stack. H says this hospital does not turn away patients until they’ve been assessed by an attending physician. Luis finishes dressing them down and goes in to check on the drunk lady. Marco is left in the doghouse. But not for long. He heads for Rene the Usurper. Marco goes to the Dark Side. He and Rene doing a pinky promise to scratch each other’s backs. Rene offers Marco a leg up in his career. (There’s a cute scene here when Marco calls him Castillos and he’s promptly corrected.)
Rene lets Mireya in on his newest pet rat. Mireya says Marco is no better or no worse than the other residents. Rene explains that Marco’s father and sponsor are very important people who can help them. He tells Mireya to help the guy out.
Montesinos and Marco’s dad, Esteban are out at a restaurant. Marco joins them and poison’s Montesino’s ears with what is going on. He says he’s doing well in the residency program but Gonzo runs a sloppy operation. He allows the docs to do whatever they want and lets them get too close to the patients. He praises Rene for running a tight ship (Huh? They’ve only been away a couple of days) Anyway, he says thing are better under Rene and it’s obvious. Montesinos is taking it all in. Then he defends Gonzalo. Marco has more ammunition—that party for the Quinceañera. Montesinos says he’ll look into things.

Reggie is in her hotel room. Someone knocks. It’s David. He wants an opportunity to do some more “‘splainin’” He’s aware that instead of growing closer, something has brought them further apart. She chalks it up to being busy studying. They actually have a civil conversation outside in the hall—about what each of them "saw” the night before—Regina seeing David with Ana and David seeing Reggie with Art. He’s say what? Reg says not to lie, she saw them coming out of his room. He swears he was on his way downstairs when Ana waylaid him. Reggie scoffs, ya, after you slept with her. (Misunderstanding No. 3.) He can’t prove it didn’t happen and she can’t prove it did. Reggie says it doesn’t matter. They are all at liberty to do whatever they want. She thought he was opening up to her with an intimate detail of his life, or was that a lie, too. Dave says it is his greatest truth. Ok, then, Reggie wants to know his story with Ana. Dave swears there is nothing between him and Ana. It’s Reggie who is such an important person in his life. He’s not playing with her. Reg still won’t accept his side of the story. She has enough problems at work to add another one. She tries to excuse herself, but David comes back with the last truth he has. Yes, he and Ana came on to him but he rejected her advances because he wanted to come downstairs to be with Reg.
Rafa and Daniel make up over a couple of beers. Daniel now realize he never told the object of his affection was Tania. Rafa said that had he know, he would never have gone after her.
Tania approaches Cinthia for a reconciliation over Rafa. Cin says she will never be able to look at Rafa the same way. She’s done with him.
Art brings Reggie coffee—just the way she likes it, before the next session.. She tries to tell him it wasn’t necessary. He only wants to coddle her a bit. She doesn’t want him doing things with the expectation of anything in return. She doesn’t want him getting his hopes up.
The conference is over. The organizer greets Gonzalo and apologizes that he didn’t get to spend more time with him. After some chit-chat he asks Gonzo about Aurora. Apparently she came to consult him and he did an ultra sound that left him unsettled. He thinks he saw some ovarian cysts, but she never came back. They need to be taken care of or her life was in danger. Gonzo swears she hasn’t been in touch with him. This was a couple of months ago and Gonzo says he’ll try to catch up with her somehow.
Cin approaches Daniel. What’s this about making peace with Rafa? Dan said they talked. She should make his peace with him, too. Cin says it’s impossible. They were good friends, past tense. She can’t ever look at him the same way again..
Mexico City
Rene takes a call from Montesinos on the go. Monty wants an appointment to see him. Meanwhile he tells Mireya that the patients who were admitted need to pay. He’s going to ask Luz to raise their fees. Mireya loves it when Rene talks “dirty.”
Luis and Luz stroll the halls and discuss the present situation. He tells her to calm down. Gonzo will be back in a day or two. Luis is handed his son’s test results. Nothing alarming, but Luis is still troubled.
Surprise, surprise, Cecelia shows up and asks Mireya if she knows where Art is. She introduces herself as Art’s girlfriend. Mireya derives a little pleasure in telling her that Art was at a conference in P.V. Didn’t he invite her to go? Well, she admits to the two of them having some problems lately. Then she asks about Regina. No, she also went to P.V. She advises Ceci to keep an eye on her man because these conferences are an excuse to party. Ceci only asks that Mireya tell Art she stopped by when he returns. By all means.
Luis arrives home and Susana tells him Gabe is not any better. Luis is no longer as worried because the tests came back clear, except for some inflammation.
Puerto Vallarta
Ana “corners” David at the beach where he’s skipping stones. She again tried to rekindle what they had long ago. For David, there are no embers to flame. Ana pleads for another chance. They’re no longer residents. They are adults. He says no, that’s not what he’s looking for. Ana says well, what about having some fun—as friends. She asks if it’s about Reggie. He says Reggie has nothing to do with this. Ana just doesn’t want him to get hurt. He and Regina have nothing in common—they are so different. Reg got married, got to play house and David has never married.
Reg an Gonzo run into each other and she tells him how proud they are of him, all the team is. He tells her about Aurora. How he was always at work, had no time for his son—he was putting in long hours to maintain their standard of living. Later she found someone from their mutual careers and she left him. Felipe basically was raised by the step dad.
The conference participants are taking a last stroll around P.V., they have a meal together and take pictures as mementos. Dave watches Reggie with Art. Reggie looks for Dave with her eyes. Then she sees Ana come up to Dave and they go off together. Reggie watches them go.
Mexico City
Back home, Cin gets a knock on her door. It’s Rafael and he wants to talk. He won’t move until they talk. She opens the door. He’s come to plead his case. He says he misses her, her laugh and how it hurts to have her reject him with those cold eyes. He’s changed and wants her to give him a chance.
Por fin se acabó este doble episodio.
BRAVO, Amiga! WONDERFUL JOB with this double header! My gosh! Is this something UNI has been doing in these past few years? Anywho! I love the way you titled it and labeled each misunderstanding. Perfect! And, I've only had changes from one day to the next. Your labels for location change was also very helpful! Slight correction on David and Regina's conversation outside their rooms when they first arrived. When he called her back he said, Créame que eres la ultima mujer de la cual quiero estar lejos. "Believe me, you're the last woman I want to be distant from." I think this is where she realized David was open for them to explore a deeper, more personal level of their relationship. Too bad it didn't last long. Someone predicted there would be the misinterpreting of an "attack beso." Well, the kiss was just a peck, but enough for Regina to jump to him having slept with Ana. I guess I'll cut her some slack, after what she's been through. I just hope she'll be open to listening to David earlier than next to the last show! I hate Art got the first kiss, but we know David will get the last and most passionate one. I'm sadly beginning to remember how the writers string us along with the wrong couple getting most of the screen time, leaving the star couple as bait leading up to the boda at the end. GRRRRR! Have they strayed from that formula? Any chance we get to see David making love instead of war all the time! OK, rant over.
imperious little prick hee hee hee Good one! That's why you get your nuts taken, loser! Can't wait for him to get busted!
Ana pushes a glass of wine on David. He drains the glass and heads for the door.
Anita, I was so afraid Ana was going to drug David and take advantage of him! I know that sounds silly, but it's happened bnefore! It would be a "jump the shark" moment for this novelas, but novelas have done that, too! PHEW! What happened was bad enough!
Marco, the pet rat indeed! I was afraid he might go to the dark side! He was always a candidate for darkness anyway with his malignant superiority complex! I'm not worried, though; we know the dirt Rene is dealing and it's going to be revealed in a way that sinks him, Miryea, and now Marcos as well!
I felt sorry for Tania. She seems to have been ostradized by everybody! Anon had a good summary of Tania's situation in the comments yesterday. Cinthia is wrong. She pushed Rafa away for a long time because she knew he was a playboy, that's not Tania's fault, but she was teasing Rafa, too! And Cinthia is no angel: she's got her no-name gigolo on call as well. Lesson in all this, for the Residents and Attendings: do your booty business outside the workspace! Sheesh!
Thank you, so much Anita, for this uber detailed recap of a pivotal and fun episode! Can't wait to see what the rest of y'all think!
Thanks Anita!!
Small correction, when they arrive at their rooms, David doesn’t tell tells Regina she’s the last woman he wants to get to know, he says “trust me, you’re the last woman I want to be far away from”.
Ok I’m just going to come out and say it, I am sooo mad at Regina!!! Ughh!! David was right, they were getting along, getting closer and all of a sudden she’s like a switch! Even though David explained everything, she doesn’t want to hear it! She didn’t even see Ana coming out of David’s room, just standing next to his door (the same way Regina and David are talking), so why wouldn’t she believe David that nothing happened? David has never lied to her about anything, why would he now? Even if it seemed to her that something had happened, I think Regina should have at least given David the benefit of the doubt. The way David was hurt that Regina even doubted that his biggest secret was true, geez i felt bad for David!
When Ana gave David the wine she had this little smirk, I thought for sure there was something that would make him pass out and she would make David think they slept together. Yes, I’ve watched too many TNs haha, but I’m glad it wasn’t the case!
Hahah Lila we were commenting at the same time and both thought the same thing about Ana drugging David! It’s a classic TN plot, glad they skipped it here!! I was also worried that after Regina told David she didn’t believe anything he said, David would go sleep with Ana out of anger/spite/revenge, but alas I am also EXTREMELY thankful David didn’t do that! (That’s my guy!!)
That was a low blow by Regina. It took so much for David to finally open up to her and share a deeply personal issue and she sarcastically asks if that story was just something he made up to tell her. That was uncalled for.
And to immediately jump to the conclusion that he "slept with" Ana from a quick kiss to the cheek was simply ridiculous. The elevator doors were still open and she was still staring when Ana gave him a peck on the cheek and bounced off. Hardly a deep, passionate kiss one night expect to see from a couple who have just been intimate. Misunderstandings galore, for sure. Reg is going to cause David to clam up again and just occasionally "exercise" with Random Gym Chick!
Anita..wow..thank you for your detailed retelling despite feeling under the weather.
I think that Reg's suspicions and reaction has everything to do with the big surprise Sergio gave her when she walked into their bedroom and saw Serg moving the sofa with not just one but two strangers. And she was married to him for ten years and thought that she knew him and that he was an honest and faithful husband. She has unfortunately painted David with that same brush.
Scenes cut by Univision
Flor’s hospital party - Regina asks David if he’s the kind that dances or the kind that doesn’t. David says he doesn’t dance.
Regina “come on, it’s fun!” But David says no, that’s not something she is going to get him to do. Regina “Want to bet?” And then they do a cute handshake/boom
Cute moment in the supply room with David and Regina. David asks Regina is she knows about the Congress and admits that he didn’t want to go, but changed his mind when he found out Regina was going. David says he’s going to make sure Regina is not boring the whole trip
In the ER- David asks Regina if she’s ready for the trip tomorrow. She says no, shes worried about the issues with the supplies in the hospital. David tells her to calm down that’s it’s good to get away from the ER and they can celebrate that she’s a free woman. Regina “no, that’s not necessary.” David “of course it is! And believe it or not, Deivid Walls is very good company on trips” (he pronounces it Deivid Walls in English, it was cute). Regina “really? You? Actually, yes I am curious to get to know you more outside of the hospital and to uncover your mystery.”
Arturo and Regina laying poolside talking. Arturo reaches over to hold Regina’s hand, at that point David comes running through- breaking apart their hands. David takes off his shirt. David-“te vas a quedar ahí aburrida?” (Basically calls her boring). Regina- “I’m not boring I’m resting”. David “en la alberca la vas a pasar mejor mamasita” holds out his hand, Regina takes it and gets up. As they walk away Arturo says “what did you call her?!” David “did you hear something?” Regina throws David into the pool and then gets in. They play around and laugh, Regina asks Arturo if he wants to join them but Arturo walks away.
PS. If you thought David has a hot bod with the scenes we got on Univision, just know you didn’t even get to see his whole bod because Uni cut the scene where he takes off his shirt and you can see his abs (toned, but not overly grotesque=perfect)
After Regina leaves with Arturo David arrives at the dinner. Everyone tells him that Regina went to go look for him, but didn’t find him so she went to sleep. David “what? With Arturo?!” Cinthia “no, they just walked together.” Ana arrives at the dinner. Everyone starts leaving one by one, David excuses himself too. Ana “what? You told me you wanted to come down to the dinner and now you don’t want to stay? It’s not because you wanted to see Regina is it?” David (sternly) “and what if that was the case?”. Ana “no nothing, you don’t have to get upset.” David “I’m not upset, I just want to sleep. Goodnight.”
Great performance ANITA. My gosh, double episodes are a curse. And having to cover one while not feeling well is absolute martyrdom. But you rose to the occasion and then some.
Nice title and unifying theme. Yep, MISUNDERSTANDINGS are the linchpin of any telenovela, but like LILA, I sure hope the misunderstandings twixt Regina and David don't drag on till the very end.
Some phrases I found delightful:
[Regina] giving them [the interns] "what-for". Any Spanish readers, learn this idiom. It's a good one.
[Rafa] tosses down a couple of his little helpers
[Rene] imperious little prick
Rene lets Mireya in on his newest pet rat [Marco]
For David there are no embers to flame
and last but not least....
por fin se acabó este doble episodio
While I'm incensed that they cut our all those juicy scenes of David and Regina, I'm happy for your sake that at least Univision's heartless scissors lightened your load a little bit. But all recappers must surely prefer SINGLE episodes and NO scissors. Oh well, guess we're not tops on Uni's radar.
Thank you so much ANITA. You're a doll to help out and a great boon to all of CarayCaray.
Excellent recap Anita.
"Rafa is the bar fly at one of the nightclubs. A cute fly approaches" had me laughing away.
"Bubbly Ana takes a seat next to dour Dave... and "Reg’s demeanor indicates she’s reading more into this than is merited" stated the situation perfectly.
"Rene lets Mireya in on his newest pet rat". I wondered if Marco might turn to the good side. Nopis. Once a weasel...
Best scene of the night was the patient throwing up on Marco!
Poor Gonzalo who seemingly can't set foot out of the hospital without Rene fabricating more lies and working against him. I wonder if Gonzalo will be able to find his ex.
SpanProf, I also have a bad feeling about Flor and also Luis' son....
Cece isn't giving up. Are we sure she and Ana aren't related??
"Reggie and David are in a swimming pool, but not exactly plunging or swimming". No, I gather Livia did not want to wet her locks so no frolicking in the water for them!
"jumps up to be the devoted swain". Yes. Blech.
"He tells her he wants coffee. She tells him where he can find his own coffee and leaves". She is the BEST.
Rafa and Daniel easily reconciled once childish Daniel admitted he never told Rafa the truth. Unfortunately, Cin and Tania shared no such similar experience. Cin is acting as the child now as she continues to take her anger out on Tania. And really, in all honesty, Tania has done nothing wrong. Flirting without promising is skirting the line a bit, but it’s no infraction. And Cin knows Rafa is a player. Does she think he would change just for her?
Anita, another gem. Thank you - I hope you are continuing to feel better. Hope you can get some rest...
Diana
Anon, thank you for all the deleted scenes.
Still perplexed as why Uni is hurrying this along. So frustrating.
Diana
WOW! We're on fire! Thanks for he spark, Anita! Please take care of yourself. Prayers and healing vibes to you, Hon!
These are all great comments! UnOp, That IS funny how we were writing the same thing at the same time! Anon, thanks for the deleted scenes. It's all coming back to me now. How they cut! I know the BIG CONFERENCE seemed whimpy and there was virtually no lead up to it! Oh, well. We gets what we gets, though I would have loved to see that "David Walls" scene AND seen David actually strip off that shirt! Mercy!
I agree with those mad at Regina, but also understand, as Susanlynn said, that she's painting David with the Sergio brush. She has always repeated over not just the shock of that funky scent (moving the sofa! HA!) but she can't get over that she thought she knew him. That was what she was saying (more to herself) when she was talking to Art on the beach.
Another thing that set Regina off: She already has a "difficult" work relationship with Ana on the job; she has really been focused on not letting any other personal issue effect her work; her belief that David is involved with Ana (and she must know they were "a thing" during residency?) REALLY makes her want to stay away from David.
BUT. . .we know you want him, Girl!
Anon, above, good point that Tania may want to talk to Cinthia about Rafa. Yah, demerits for Cinthia acting like a butt-hurt teenie-bopper!
This botched surgery was on Televisa episodes 37-39. A repeat felony from several years ago done on Pasion y Poder. This series has 87 episodes and if they try to cram 48 of them into three weeks that would be a Class A felony against the audience. Here is most of what was cut (beyond the above post). Asterisks indicate necessary information or action we should know about (some scenes combined):
-- a conversation between Pamela and Tania revealing that Pamela is adopted and always knew it. Tania's reaction to questions about her family was vague, indicating possible issues.*
-- a scene of Regina and Christina getting massage, possible censorship due to a side view of LB's boobage.
-- Gonzalo having a talk with Daniel re his issues with women
-- Gonzalo talking at dinner about anti-vaxxers and other nutjobs (just before Ana's failed seduction attempt)
-- Ana showed up at dinner and sat next to David.
-- After the guy died in the club. the dinner party ended with Ana and Tania, who seems to have Ana's number.
-- Reg and David were the first to come down for breakfast, followed by Gonzalo, Arturo, and Ana
-- Daniel was late looking into the seminar on pediatrics, but Tania suggested he try again*
-- Rene discharges Estella despite Regina's recommendation*
-- Luz overs over Caro again, not really trusting her husband to take care of her
-- Rafael was wandering around all night and was missed at breakfast. Cinthia found him. He started to tell her about what happened in the club but she was not having any.*
-- Cinthia hooked up with an attractive dude named Jaime. They were spotted by Rafael, who repaired to the bar to drown his jealousy.*
-- Regina confronted David about Ana. He told her he rejected Ana" advances. When he spent the evening alone in his room he threw his phone across the bed when Ana tried to call him.*
-- Luis lectured Pam and Diego again. The two residents later talked about this.
-- Sex scene w/Cinthia and Jaime (censored for the same reason as above).
-- Rafael and Daniel made up in the bar.*
-- Rene and Mireya desecrated Gonzalo's office again. We also find out that her father is a friend of Montesino's.*
-- Luis and Gabriel argue about his schoolwork, followed by Luis almost arguing with Susanna.
-- Pamela told her parents over breakfast how stressful it all was. She was still upset about Hector. She began to doubt her vocation. Her parents were very understanding, saying she was still young and could make other choices.*
-- Tania tried to talk to Cinthia again about Rafael. Strike Two (or Three?)
-- Regina and Arturo still dancing around their situation.
Anita, gracias for your work here. This series is a challenge even without Univision's malpractice.
We all knew Marco would be trouble and he has now shown his true colors. The ER surgeons have permitted him to do the closing sutures, which he probably is good at and he is repaying them by falling in with Rene.
I have been wondering at Rene's past medical (in)competence in view of his discharging of these patients. When did he last even treat a patient? Any doctor worth his license knows that being in a hospital is a downer, so none of the other doctors we've seen so far would hospitalize anyone unnecessarily, not even Ana. He is doing this to sabotage Gonzalo, Regina, David, Arturo, and Luis.
We've previously seen Daniel with great empathy for kids, so he would be an excellent pediatrician (or was that cut, too?).
Pamela doubting herself is probably experiencing a normal rite of passage. I hope one of the ER docs talks to her about that. Her talent for psychiatry should not be wasted.
It will take a while for Regina to feel ready for a new relationship. She is also aware that gossip is highly destructive so she is watching her step.
Cinthia and Tania might have very similar problems with their parents, so they have to make up. Will we meet Tania's parents or will Univision perform another characterectomy?
Yikes, URBAN,why on earth are they choosing to ruin this telenovela? But it explains the seemingly abrupt scene changes and choppy rhythm of these episodes. Just a shame to do this, and a slap in the face to the screenwriters and director to hack away at it like this. And a disservice to the actors as well. Not to mention the audience!!!!
LOVE the medical and criminal justice imagery and you are spot on in every case! I know it does not good, but what does Univision think about it's viewers? Are the ratings bad for this show? Is Boyer, et. al. and the upcoming storing that hot that they have to butcher this show? We would patiently and gladly watch all the things detailed in your cutting room floor list! Has viewer emails ev er made a difference? Is there something like viewer backlash that can be tied to something that translates into dollars that impresses Univision? GAH!
These two scenes were on the double episode:
-- a conversation between Pamela and Tania revealing that Pamela is adopted and always knew it. Tania's reaction to questions about her family was vague, indicating possible issues.*
-- Rafael and Daniel made up in the bar.*
Yes, Regina's caution about gossip is a good point added to the other excellent points about her caution. I hope Miss Roots shows up at the hospital and makes a scandal which will drive Regina away from even a close friendship with Art....put it back in the supportive colleague zone!
Indeed. Correction to my post about deleted scenes: That was "Cinthia"; there is no Christina here.
I truly am appalled at the censorship as well. It's the network taking a step back when the normal treatment of sex in telenovelas would benefit US audiences. The outdated attitudes that are still being promoted here are really toxic and deserved to die a long time ago.
It would be better for them to air this series at midnight than to amputate so many scenes.
Urban, thank you for taking the time and effort to fill in all those missing moments. It helps to round out the story and characters as the writers intended for this story to be told . Like everyone else,I wonder why Uni decided once again to edit this show. Our story is becoming Swiss cheese .
Even if Angelique Boyer were the second coming of Edith Gonzales it still wouldn't be worth it to strip this series to the bones. It's too good and its format is too new. It had adequate ratings in Mexico.
Since La Rosa de Guadalupe is probably viewed by older people, put it in Daytime to make room for a new novela. Cutting them up to rush it to the end is no solution.
Even if Angelique Boyer were the second coming of Edith Gonzales....
HA! You killin' me, Urban!
ITA! I'm never one to disrespect others' faith but yeah, LRdG COULD run in the daytime! Is it like, advance penitence for the side shots of boobies and fornication in the novelas?
Whatever. I came back to the Patio for the Peeps, not Univision. Thatnks for listening to my grousing!
If Rene is discharging patients and one of them backfires, malpractice lawsuit will actually hit him for authorizing the release, not the supervising drs.
Kind of glad they’re chopping this up. Pales in comparison to PASL. Whoever wrote Medicos thinks like a high schooler.
Ok, I had not seen the entire episode, but now I have. Even with the ability to fast-forward through commercials I can’t sit there and pay attention to a 2hr episode lol. Anyway, this entire time I’ve been thinking that David had been married before and that’s why he’s against marriage, but now we know he has not been married. Apparently the reason David and Ana stopped seeing each other was because neither of them wanted a serious relationship (but apparently Ana does now?).
Unfortunately, when it seemed like David was opening up to Regina and possibly a relationship, things went downhill quickly. He said the only person who knows about his childhood story is Gonzalo, and when when he trusted Regina with his story, she questioned if it was even true. That will probably solidify David’s original outlook on relationships.
I don’t like Ana as much as the next person, but I think what she was telling David made a lot of sense (when he was skipping rocks). But even if she knows how he is and accepts him the way he is, I hope nothing happens with her and David (casual or otherwise) once David finds out about Regina and Arturo’s kiss.
If Gonzalo gave him the authority that allowed that, could he be held responsible?
Regina can't risk a relationship now. She is likely not rid of Sergio yet and he will stoop to anything to make her life hell. Ana only wants David for the one-up it would give her over Regina.
Let Sergio harass Regina; David's got the ROCKS to stand up to him. Let Miss Roots stalk and hang on to Art's leg, so she becomes an appendage he has to drag around: That will send David and Regina into each other's arms where they discover they have more than repulsive/crazy ex's to draw them together!
THE END!
Just looking at listings and tomorrow morning at 9AM EST Unimas will start showing Mariana de la Noche. It's one of the first lead roles of our beloved Jorge Salinas and has great music by Jorge Avendano.
Mariana de la Noche actually started last Monday URBAN. Rgv Chick put up a Daytime page for it. Jarifa, Andy, Doris and I have been watching it in fits and starts. Jorge Salinas does look very young, very macho and very handsome. Cesar Evora looks good too. But it's a Meija production so it has a very unique style, shall we say.
Saw this back in the day; that's what made me fall in love with JS. I'm not sure when it first comes up but there is a beautiful love theme in this series. It would be very much at home in an opera. There is a very passionate outdoor lovemaking scene to it and I would be shocked to the core if JS were not up to that in real life!
Urban, yes, I could see that magical glade with the glow in the dark flowers on an opera stage along with the melodramatic plot. I had never seen a young Jorge Salinas before LQNPA and now they followed that with this morning novela offering. He has more than held his own over the years.
Thank you all for filling in (and reporting my my Misunderrdattndin)
Thanks for sharing which scenes were cut.
Thanks for all the comments.
I’m going through the wringer wit this illness. It got so bad that I almost called 911 on Sunday morning.
II can’t read anything. Right now. MLaybe tomorrow..
Thanks a bunch, Anita. You are incredible writing super-double at of all times when you're not feeling well. I hope by now you've found some relief and are taking the time you need to rest and recuperate. Not feeling well did not dampen your wit. Some of my faves:
Nighttime and the livin’ is easy.
Rene lets Mireya in on his newest pet rat. (Everybody's favorite!
I'm about to watch the episodes now, and I know what to avoid (Mireya and Rene getting it on in his office - eeoooh!) and what to savor (David's legs!)
I'm surprised Regina kissed Art. Not surprised there was no química. I guess she did it cause she was ticked at David.
Ack, I should've known Marcos would fall in league with Rene. But I didn't see it coming.
This is only a TN, but Regina is playing with fire smooching her supervisee at a professional conference. The same would've been true if the kissee were David, but at least it would've been worth it.
Looking forward to seeing everybody in resortwear.
Oh, no! Anita is so sick! Please, anyone who knows her personally, please stay in contact with her. This is terrible! She can't even read right now. Please, whichever of you have contact with her, please pass these well wishes and prayers, along with my own and ask her to please take care. My goodness!
LILA, I have conveyed your concerns and good wishes along with everyone else's on this line to Anita's email address. I am worried too. She sounds really sick and at a time like this, that is especially worrying. Hopefully with more rest she will be on the mend.
