Cennet #102 part 1

It’s Cihan! What does he want? Cihan says, I have good news. I won’t do anything anymore. You should be happy. Kaya looks puzzled. Cihan continues, I won’t do anything to you, Arzu or Cennet. (not exactly true) Kaya doesn’t understand. Cihan says he has other plans. Kaya asks him to cut to the chase and thinks Cihan is bluffing. Cihan asks Kaya, what would you like me do to? Kaya responds, just kill me already. Cihan can but he won’t. Kaya asks, so what is this plan? You will find out soon enough, says Cihan, you will be in the front row. Kaya chuckles, that’s why you came here? Cihan replies, I had nothing to do and I miss you when I don’t see you. We'll see each other again real soon. Kaya agrees, that’s right and one more thing; I see a dead man before me. On that day you will regret you did not kill me.

Here Melisa, have some water. Tell us what happened. Melisa babbles, I went to the police they didn’t believe me. Cennet doesn’t understand, why did you go? I confessed I killed that man. What are you talking about, Melisa? There was a car accident; I ran him over. Cihan has proof and he threatened mom. She’s marrying him to protect us. You have to help me save our mom!

Arzu is leaving a house that I don’t recognize. Cihan shows up to greet her. How did you find me? I’m watching you so get used to it. How’s the divorce coming along; any problems? No, says Arzu, and I will let you know when it’s done. Cihan reminds her she needs to sign the papers today. He asks if she bought this house. Yes, she did. She said she would marry him legally, but he can’t tell her what to do afterwards. She never wants to see him again! Cihan tells Arzu she has it wrong. They will live together under the same roof and that’s how it will be. Arzu leaves him standing there.

Sema gets a call from Melisa. Sema has been worried about her. Not to worry, she is at Cennet’s. Melisa asks, do you know where my mom is? I’m calling her and she doesn’t answer. Sema replies, she’s on her way here. Sema reminds Melisa not to tell Mahir anything.

As Cennet and Melisa leave, Selim shows up. He’s not happy to see Melisa. He wants to know why she is here and what she wants. You still believe her lies? Cennet assures him, it’s not what you think, it’s about my mom. I will tell you on the way. The three drive off to Sema’s house.

Kaya meets up with his men at the cemetery. Kaya goes in to see the caretaker and wakes him up. Have you seen this man, asks Kaya? No, he hasn’t. Well, his car was out here last night, who took it? The caretaker insists he knows nothing! Kaya’s gun comes out and he says, choose a grave because I’m going to put you to sleep now. The shade of that tree is beautiful, I’ll bury you there with a nice tombstone. Gun to his head, the caretaker relents, ok, ok. A man took him away. I don’t know his name. He said he would kill me if I talk. Kaya guarantees the caretaker's safety because he will kill that man when he finds him.

Cennet gives Selim the rundown. She talks about Arzu’s shooting. Cennet was the target and Arzu saved her. Selim is disgusted by Kaya and his enemies; they are men with no honor. (what do you expect from bad guys in a novela?) He asks Cennet, what does Melisa have to do with this? Don’t keep anything from me. She tells Selim about Melisa’s car accident; a man died and Cihan has the video. Selim nearly drives off the road.

Cennet #102 part 2

The lawyer is with Arzu and Mahir. Mahir wants to talk with Arzu in private before signing. Arzu just wants it over with; she has signed everything and intends to file today. He can’t sign. Now she asks for a moment alone with Mahir. She blurts out, I don’t love you anymore. Is that so hard to understand? Mahir doesn’t want to understand; they were supposed to go away and take the girls with them! Arzu realized she didn’t want that. It didn’t work. She tried but it was impossible to love him. Enough, says Mahir! He reluctantly signs the divorce. He leaves.

The caretaker takes Kaya to Leyla’s grave. He tells Kaya, I took him (Halil) here and then that man hit him and took him away. Ok says Kaya, I’m going to take you to someone. You will tell them exactly what you have told me. The caretaker pleads, don’t make me do this; he will kill me. Kaya says he will protect the caretaker. Suddenly shots are fired! The caretaker is killed.

Kaya asks his men, did you find he shooter? No, they looked everywhere. Cihan will hear about this and we will see what happens. He tells his men to erase the surveillance footage. I think Kaya tries calling Arzu but she doesn’t answer. He drives off.
Halil is still hooded and on the floor. Tufan says he must be telling the truth and says he will leave Halil there to rot. Halil feebly pleads for help.

Melisa returns home. She sees her father leaving; she calls after him, but he drives off. The lawyer says everything is signed and now iit’s up to the court to set a date to finalize. Arzu knows someone who can speed things up. The lawyer leaves and Melisa, Cennet and Selim come. They are here to talk. Cennet says, don’t marry that man. Yes, Melisa told them everything. Arzu is not happy about this. Selim tells Arzu to do the right thing. He reminds her that there are laws and you have rights. Arzu has an interesting response: “sometimes justice serves evil, even if it ends up hurting those who are good.”

Melisa asks if Arzu has the video of the accident. Arzu says no. Melisa wants to find the video. Arzu reminds her what that would mean; Melisa would go to prison. Melisa is willing to risk it. Arzu wants them to forget all about this. The youngsters won’t forget and won’t permit this to happen.

Selim says this man’s issue is with Kaya. Let them handle it between themselves. Arzu says it’s not that simple. Melisa insists they need to find the video or the body! Stop! says Arzu, enough! It’s too late, I’m marrying Cihan this weekend! Arzu leaves. Melisa knew her mother wouldn’t listen to them.

Selim agrees that they need to find the video or the body. Are you all ready for what’s coming? We will be playing a dangerous game. Are you sure you want to do this? Let’s do it for our mother says Melisa to Cennet. It is agreed by all three. (Hands in on the count of 3. Mother!)

Cennet calls Kaya. He’s parked outside Cihan’s. Cennet gives no details but tell him it’s urgent. Let’s meet at your house in an hour. Kaya agrees.

Kaya gets out of his car and walks up to Cihan’s man. Where the hell is your boss? He’s not in. Alright, tell that fool he’s digging his own grave in the worst way possible. Use those exact words.

Kaya is waiting at home. The doorbell rings. It's Cennet, Melisa and Selim. Kaya is surprised. What’s going on? Is everything ok? Melisa starts. No, my mom is in trouble because of you! What? Cennet asks who is Cihan? Kaya says just tell me what’s going on already! My mom’s life has been ruined by Cihan. Who is he? What does he want? They are driving Kaya crazy. Cennet finally says, Arzu must marry Cihan this weekend to save Melisa’s life! Kaya is in shock.

Cennet #102 part 3

Arzu visits Mukaddes. Pack your bags! I bought a house and we will live together Cennet, Melisa and you. Mukaddes says you can take Cennet, she belongs with you. Arzu tells Mukaddes that she belongs with Cennet. Mukaddes asks, has your problem been solved? No, I’m going to marry Cihan. It’s only for a little while to help my daughters. Mukaddes is still not sure. She wants to ask Cennet first. Arzu tells her, we will sleep under the same roof as it always should have been. Mukaddes gives in and goes to pack.

Melisa tells Kaya, you need to fix this. Kidnap or kill him. Save my mom! Kaya is deeply troubled, Damn it! What have I done! Selim says be useful find the video, or, Cennet says find where the man is buried. You can do that. Find something, please. Selim says our lives the moment you showed up. Now you must help us.

Kaya thinks about it and asks Melisa, are you sure the man is dead? Yes, of course. Who made sure, you? Your mother? She thinks back; it was Cihan. Kaya blurts out, you people are stupid. Kaya thinks this man is still alive and this part of Cihan’s game. If you killed that man, Cihan would have made you bury this man on your own. He would not get involved. Selim says we need to find this man alive. Melisa remembers what he looked like; she can’t forget him.

Kaya says he will fix this. He promises he will do everything to finish Cihan. The kids look hopeful. They go to leave. Kaya stops Cennet. He’s so sorry for everything. Cennet says don’t apologize, just save mom.

Kaya gets a call from Halil; help me, help me. Alright, send me your location right away! I’ll come for you! Kaya leaves and a car follows him.

Melisa and Cennet go to the new house. Arzu is happy to see them! Mukaddes is there, too. Arzu says, we have much to talk about so sit down. Arzu announces, this is our new home! I was thinking we could live together. Grandma and me too, asks Cennet? Melisa thinks this means Arzu is not marrying Cihan. Unfortunately, that’s not the case, but Arzu will feel better knowing her only family will be together under the same roof. Arzu will visit.

Ok, says Melisa, let’s discuss what matters. Cihan may be tricking us with his blackmail. We think he’s lying; the man is not dead. We will know soon. How? asks Arzu. I told you to stay away from that man. Cennet and Melisa look at each other--you tell her. Kaya is going to help us. Arzu reacts. Seriously? You believed him? She doesn’t want Kaya's help. Everything he touches becomes a problem. Arzu continues, do you understand if we find that man, he will die, and it will look like you did it Melisa. Arzu would rather die than accept Kaya’s help. End of discussion.

Kaya shows at Halil’s location. A car pulls up behind him. Kaya shoots the lock open and enters. He finds Halil on the floor. Don’t worry I’m here, he says. A man suddenly appears, we only see his back. He points his gun at Kaya. Kaya gets up and says, it’s you! The scene cuts to the outside of the building and we hear several gunshots.

Arzu and Mahir are at court. The divorce is finalized. Later, Arzu puts away the decree and makes a call to Cihan. It’s done. Great says Cihan, we are getting married today. It’s going too fast for Arzu. She wants a little more time. He won’t wait. Everything is ready today.

Cennet #102 part 4

Arzu comes downstairs and asks Cennet, where is Melisa? She didn’t come last night? Where is she?

We see Melisa and Selim are on a stakeout at Cihan’s. Melisa says, we’ve been waiting for days and we have nothing. She tells Selim he should go. She will wait a couple of hours and then leave. She doesn’t know what to do; her mom is getting married today. Selim assures her that they won’t let that happen. And he’s not going anywhere. They will solve this together. Melisa smiles and says Selim is a good man. (too good for his own good)

Melisa says everyone should experience hardships. It makes you smarter. Huh, are you smarter now or something, asks Selim? Melisa answers, I know it’s hard to believe, but what has happened these past few weeks has changed me. I realize family is the most important thing. Selim wishes he could believe her. He says we will get past this first. But then Selim is sure that Melisa will revert to her same old ways afterward. She swears it is different this time. Selim has heard this before (I lost count). Let’s not talk about it anymore and leave it at that.

Selim notices two men leaving the house. He asks Melisa for the pictures that they must have taken on other stakeout days. He realizes this man comes here every day, stays for a few hours, then leaves. It looks like he has a medical bag. Is he a doctor? Well, there’s only one way to find out. They follow his car and the man is dropped off at a hospital. He must be a doctor!

Selim and Melisa go to the hospital front desk. They ask about the white-haired man who just came in. Yes, Dr. Hikmet? Do you have an appointment? No, says Melisa, but it is an emergency. The receptionist calls Dr Hikmet. She lets Melisa know he’s waiting for her down the hall. Selim and Melisa enter his office. Dr Hikmet asks if she has an emergency. Selim locks the door. Melisa asks, what were you doing at Cihan Kocaoglu’s house?

And we are out.

Muchísimas gracias, dondi356, for another awesome recap. You covered absolutely everything, and I loved your asides, such as "(Hands in on the count of 3. Mother!)" and "Selim has heard this before (I lost count)."

When did Arzu have time to look for and buy a house? And not a small, modest house.

I'm a little unsure why Melisa asks Arzu whether she has the video. Is it the fact that Cihan sent it to her, thereby providing evidence that he was complicit? And did Arzu really delete it from her phone?

I guess it takes a scoundrel to know a scoundrel: Kaya's the only one who thinks in terms of the "accident" being a set-up. Alas, his wariness didn't extend to the phone call from Halil.

I'll do some sort of recap of tonight's episode. Thanks again for switching with me. Though yesterday Cennet may have started at more or less the right time on the East Coast, on the West Coast it didn't begin until almost 11:00 PM!

Thank you, Juanita.

Cennet started at 8:54 last night but I was lucky to see it. We had a bad storm blow through and the power went out around 8:15. It came back with only minutes to spare. Very lucky.

I think we are getting some slicing and dicing towards the end.

I think Melisa wants the video to prove there was an accident. She couldn’t get the police to believe her. In lieu of the video she thought of finding the body. I suppose Arzu would have deleted the video, but she looked a little uncomfortable when they asked her if she had it.

Yes, it takes one to know one. Kaya and Cihan are the same. I don’t know how Kaya will get out of this one. I hope Halil is ok.

Thanks for doing tonight’s recap. The gran final is 2 hours on Monday!

Cennet - ep.#103 - p. 1 de 3

Selim and Melisa ask Dr. Hikmet why he was at Cihan Kocaoglu’s house. The doctor reaches for the phone on his desk, but Selim stops him, takes the phone, pulls out the cord, and moves it away from the desk. In response to more questions, the doctor claims he knows nothing about a car accident. Melisa tells him she was involved in that accident. He still claims ignorance. Melisa says that Hippocrates must be turning over in his grave.

Cennet is trying to persuade Arzu not to go through with the wedding to Cihan. She asks whether Arzu is willing to put up with Cihan's despotism. Arzu tells her that when she's a mother, she'll understand a mother's wish to protect her children. Arzu informs her that it's too late to do anything, the wedding is today. Cennet is determined that it won't happen. She goes outside and tries to call Kaya.

Cihan is told that everything went as he wanted it to. He says that the old era is over, a new era begins today.

Cennet has apparently called Pinar, because Pinar meets her at Kaya's with keys to his house. They go inside, calling "Kaya?" "Halil?" No one answers. Pinar examines a glass and concludes, "No one has been here in several days."

Melisa calls Cennet. Apparently Melisa and Selim got the doctor to talk. Melisa tells Cennet that Cihan has hidden the wounded young man in the house.

The doctor called Cihan and said that two people had been to question him, a man and a woman. The woman's name was Melisa. Cihan tells his men there has been a change of plans.

Sema comes to see Arzu. She tells Arzu there might be another way, rather than marrying Cihan. Arzu mutters "I wish." Sema suggests that she could run away. Arzu explains that Cihan has eyes on her day and night. She tells Sema that she'll just live with Cihan for a while. "And after?" asks Sema. "I don't know," replies Arzu. "I'll wait until his thirst for vengeance is over." Arzu assures Sema that she'll find a way out for Melisa. Sema asks whether Arzu would like her to attend the wedding. Arzu says no, let's not make things more complicated.

Cennet, standing unseen near Cihan's house, sees two men take the wounded man from the house. They put him in a car and drive off, as Cennet yells "Stop." (You tell 'em, Cennet!) Suddenly, Selim drives up with Melisa in his car. Cennet gets in and they chase after the other car.

Arzu comes down the stairs dressed in black and wearing dark glasses. Cihan is waiting for her. "We're not going to a funeral," he says. Arzu replies, "For me, it's the same." She gets in Cihan's car.

Though we saw the car chase, we didn't see what happened. But apparently Selim, Melisa, and Cennet have gotten out of their car down by the water and are looking for the occupants of the other car. Suddenly, Cennet spots them. The three of them run after the men, yelling for them to stop. But it's Selim, Melisa, and Cennet who stop when one of the two men turns toward them, pointing a pistol. Selim makes it clear that he's not going to fight with them. The two men continue on their way with the wounded man. But, of course, Selim isn't giving up so quickly. He finds an iron bar and goes to intercept the men when they pass by. He strikes one of the men with the bar, disarms the second, and ultimately has both their guns, which he points at them with both hands as he leaves with the women and the wounded man.

At the wedding site, Arzu takes out her phone to make a call. Her loving husband-to-be grabs the phone and tells her there will be no calls--for now. He throws the phone on the ground, declaring,"No one will ruin this day" (not realizing that he's already done so).

Selim et al. come to Cihan's house. Selim points a pistol at two security men and tells them he's not joking, and they'd better let them enter the house now.
The men don't try to stop them (ah, good security people aren't what they used to be). They go to the back of the house, where there's a pool, and several formal chairs arranged for a wedding. At first, it seems as if they see Arzu and Cihan. And Arzu seems to stand up and stare. But then we see the chairs are empty. "We're too late," says Melisa.

The scene then shifts back to Arzu, standing and staring. Cihan orders her to sit down. He tells the judge to proceed. Just as I'm convinced I'm going crazy, I see that Arzu is standing and staring not at Selim and her daughers but at Kaya, who is being brought in with his mouth taped and his hands tied behind his back. Cihan is pleased. "Excellent," he says. "Our primary guest has arrived. Shall we get married, Arzu?" She slaps him. He tells her to sit down and not start problems. He then asks the judge to proceed with the ceremony. The judge, seeing how unhappy and reluctant Arzu seems to be, objects. Cihan puts his pistol on the table and says (probably to both the judge and Arzu), "don't make me angry." Cihan then asks Arzu whether anyone forced her to come here. After a small hesitation, she replies that she came of her own free will. The judge then proceeds with the ceremony, including the use of Arzu's maiden name (Gomes). He gets "acepto" from Cihan and Arzu.

The scene shifts back again to Selim, Cennet, and Melisa. They see a young woman in a black work outfit come out from Cihan's house. Melisa asks her whether the wedding is over. It turns out the the site has been changed. The woman in black at first claims not to know where the new site is, but with a little friendly persuasion from Cennet (she grabs her by the neck), the woman tells them what they need to know.

Arzu is about to sign the wedding document when Cihan stops her, saying he wants to hear from Kaya first. He tells Kaya that once they're married, Kaya won't be able to come near Arzu or speak with her ever again, so now's his last chance. Speak, Kaya, we're waiting for you. Kaya stands there, saying nothing. Of course, the guy standing next to him, Cihan's man, Duran, is holding a pistol to Kaya's neck, which may have something to do with his silence. Finally, Cihan loses patience, telling the silent Kaya that if he really has nothing to say, Arzu should sign the document. Arzu picks up the pen and is about to do so when Kaya says "Stop!" He indicates that he wants to say something about Cihan's wife. Kaya makes a move and gets the better of Duran, including his gun. He then tells Cihan that this bastard (indicating Duran) killed Halil. He says Cihan should ask him why he did so. Cihan does ask, but before he can answer, Selim appears with the man wounded in the car "accident." Total chaos ensues, during which time Selim takes Arzu away, Duran is shot, and one of Cihan's other men is shot, but although Cihan and Kaya are shooting at each other at close range, neither of them gets hit.

Melisa and Cennet stay in Selim's car while all this is going on. Melisa tells Cennet the police should be here soon, since she's already called them. And sure enough, two squad cars of police arrive and arrest the one person they see with a gun, Kaya. Cihan has gotten away. He comes upon Melisa and Cennet when both conveniently have their backs turned. He points his gun at them and tells them to get into the car.

Arzu says to Selim that she told him not to intervene. He explains that it was important for her daughers. She thanks him.

Suddenly, a phone on the ground rings. A policeman picks it up and says it's a call from Cihan Kocaoglu. Arzu asks for the phone, explaining that it's hers. She hesitantly says "hello" and instead of Cihan, it's Melisa speaking, saying that she and Cennet have been kidnapped by Cihan. She hears Selim in the background and pleads with him to save them.

Back at the Soyers' house, Ozlem is busy converting a room. Sema is furious. Who authorized this, she wants to know. Mahir tells her he did. Sema and Mahir continue their discussion away from Ozlem. Mahir tells his mother that he's a single man and can do what he pleases. She informs him that he's not single, he's divorced. He tells her he sees no difference. "I was married to a woman who doesn't love me. All I care about is my child. Ozlem isn't my wife, she's the mother of my child." Ozlem hears him say this, and vows to herself and Viewerville, "I swear I won't leave until I'm a Soyer."

Cihan orders both Cennet and Melisa out of the car. He gets a call from someone and says "OK, disappear. You know where to find me." As he's busy talking, Melisa tries to get into the car again to drive off. Cihan stops her. He orders both Cennet and Melisa to walk in front of him through the woods.

Selim tells Arzu that the police are using the cellphone signal to find Cennet and Melisa.

Cennet and Melisa are walking through the woods when suddenly Cennet trips and falls. She claims that she has sprained her ankle. Cihan tells her she'll just have to manage. He says something about ending her suffering, which probably provides some strong motivation to keep moving. Melisa supports her as she limps.

Kaya has been arrested. He claims that he shot in self defense, and that he has witnesses.

Selim and Arzu learn that the police have located Melisa and Cennet, and they go off to find them. Kaya asks that they keep him informed.

Cihan takes Cennet and Melisa to a small cabin in the woods. The police, who supposedly have located them, instead seem to have only located Selim's abandoned car. [If they were using cellphone signals, why would the police locate the car rather than the young women? Was the cellphone left in the car?]

Cihan is about to tie Melisa up. Melisa asks to go to the bathroom before he does so. Cennet says that she too needs to use the bathroom. He takes them both outside. "Where is the bathroom?" Melisa asks. 'Everything you see is the bathroom," he replies. They want a little privacy. He tells them they can go off just a little distance. He tells them where to stop. Melisa tells Cennet they've got to try to escape. It's their best chance. Cihan gets a little impatient and calls out. Melisa calls back, just a couple of minutes more.

They then make their escape attempt. When Cihan calls out to them again, there's no response. He goes to investigate and finds that they've fled. Meanwhile, Melisa and Cennet have made a little progress, but not much, since apparently Cennet really did hurt her leg. [I assumed she was faking it.] Cennet finally persuades Melisa to go on without her and get help, that Cennet will just slow them down so that both will be caught. Melisa finally agrees. She separates from Cennet just as Cihan approaches and the episode ends.

That was a fabulous recap, Juanita. I don’t know how you were able to make sense of it, but you did a great job. Nice asides.

It was a ridiculous episode, compounded by bad editing, perhaps from the original production, but definitely by Telemundo. When you add in usual bad scripting, bad directing and overacting, well…

The Yilmaz, Soyer & Arisoy Detective Agency is in full effect!

Dr. Hikmet rolled over a little too easily. I guess he really was afraid of tchotchke wielding Melisa. Too bad they couldn’t find a way to stop Hikmet from contacting Cihan after they left.

Pinar still has a key to Kaya’s house?

Had a laugh at Cennet cleverly hidden near Cihan’s house and then running after the car. “(You tell 'em, Cennet!)”—exactly, Juanita! And then Selim and Melisa magically show up at that moment.

Another laugh was the waterfront chase. How can anyone take this seriously? Good Grief. That poor “accident” victim is dragged all over town.

Arzu dressed in black for her wedding! Maybe Turkish grooms need to rethink the custom of picking up the bride. I must mention your line here, Juanita: "No one will ruin this day" (not realizing that he's already done so)”. And I thought I was going crazy with the wedding scenes, too. Did I miss something? Horrendous editing.

Cihan really does need to hire better help.

I thought Cihan’s best guy was named Tufan? Last night he was Duran! And I wanna know all about Tufan/Duran and Leyla!

Sorry to hear Halil is dead. He deserved a better end, perhaps to be freed from Kaya and live a normal life. I know he was with the bad guys, but he wasn’t evil like Kaya or Cihan. It was a paycheck for him but he had a heart.

Lol…the old bathroom break escape trick gets a new outdoor twist. Cihan fell for it!

dondi356, I LOVED your comments! Several of them echoed thoughts I had as I was watching or writing the episode but didn't put into the recap. For example, it struck me as strange, too, that Pinar still had keys to Kaya's house. And I almost wrote exactly the point you made about Selim and Melisa magically showing up at the moment Cennet needs them to follow the car she'd yelled at in vain.

The waterfront scene was another headscratching moment for me. I feared that I must have missed something. How did we get from the car chase scene to walking and searching on the waterfront? Via a Telemundo editing glitch, apparently.

Whereas I think the above was a glitch, I suspect the wedding scene craziness was intentional. Indeed, once I realized that there were really two scenes that alternated, I thought it was somewhat clever for the writers to make Viewerville assume that the three musketeers actually came upon the wedding when they were at Cihan's house and that Arzu stood up and stared at the three musketeers, and then twice to pull the visual rug out from under us. Was there a point to the writers doing that, except to play with us? Perhaps not, but I sort of liked it (or perhaps I just felt great relief that I had neither missed a scene nor lost my mind).

And YES, I too want to know about Tufan/Duran and Cihan's wife. I think T/D was killed in the shoot-out, but Kaya is still very much alive and eager to let Cihan know The Truth About His Wife.

I looked through the Turkish eps w/English subs equivalent to the last 2 ½ Telemundo episodes. There was some choppy editing in the original, too. Telemundo pared a lot of conversations down to a minimum. The essence remained but some of the emotion and fine points were lost.

A few things we missed in the Telemundo edits:

The car chase was edited out. The bad guys told the victim they were going to the marina and knew they were being followed. The confrontation at the marina was edited down as well, but nothing critical missing there.

We saw Cihan & his man load the accident victim into the trunk of a car.

There was a Cennet flashback to when Selim declared his love and then jumped off the boat. This would have been helpful for you, Juanita.

The cemetery caretaker told Halil that Turan (this is the correct name) “comes, talks and cries every day. Sometimes he even comes at night. All I know is this is the grave of his beloved.” The caretaker did not mention this to Kaya before he was killed.

You're right, the flashback scene with Selim declaring his love and jumping off the boat would have been very helpful to me. Fortunately, I had you to explain what I hadn't seen.

OMG, how/why could they leave out the cemetary caretaker's vital statement to Halil?? I suppose, however, that both you and I had already guessed why Turan went to the cemetary every day with a bouquet of flowers. What's surprising is that he managed to do this without arousing any suspicions on Cihan's part.
