MÉDICOS #54, 9-28-20

Que tal, Peeps! As always, prayers and peace to everyone for whatever trials you’re going through and joy for your triumphs! Let’s get right to it. As usual, your voice is welcome on the Patio. I’m going to try to be brief as the beginning of the episode felt especially choppy. Ni modo! Vamanos!

The BIG GALA coverage ended rather abruptly with Regina explaining to David, Luz, Pam and Art that Gonzalo had to get back to the Instituto because his ex was brought in gravely ill. David’s instinct is to head for the Instituto, but Regina said Gonzalo asked them to support him by staying behind. Luz, whom we have noted is really working hard, also asks that they stay behind as everyone is asking for Gonzalo and have questions about their areas. David and Regina leave the table; Regina tells Rafa that Cinthia is OK; she was just taken by surprise by her Parents. The next morning Rene and Coni are center stage in the society section of the newspaper which describes the huge success of the fundraising gala! The two salivate over the pages: Finally, what they have sought for so many years is within their reach! Coni warns Rene not to falter, not to make a mistake and to do anything he must to snag the Directorship of the Instituto! Rene assures her he will. “Ooooh, I like you like this,” Coni growls lustily. She beckons him for demonstrative, hungry kisses. Later at the hospital, Rene interrupts Miryea in her yelling at Lili. It takes several firm requests, but Miryea steps aside to hear what he has to say. He wants to know what’s wrong with her? “Ask Coni!” Miryea snips, and walks away leaving Rene wondering and confused. [Not that I like to think about it, but the sexual supply dynamic in this triangle has further shifted, potentially increasing the scorn factor in one of the members, hopefully leading to a perfectly-timed explosion. We’ll see.]

Elsewhere this morning, Paco has returned to work in the café; groaning and moving slowly but Daniel and Elena smile and are supportive. Daniel heads off to work. Cinthia is also heading off to work and finds her Mom, Patricia, right outside the door as she opens it to rush out. Long story short, Patricia comes in and they argue: Patricia can’t believe how ungrateful Cinthia is and why she objects to the generous offer of support her Dad made for Cinthia and the Instituto! Cinthia can’t believe Patricia doesn’t understand why she objects: this is NOT support; it’s an attempt to control her life, yet again! Patricia wants family unity; she agreed with Andres’ idea for the donation because it’s his way of supporting her! No! Her Dad is doing what he always does: attempting to control everybody and everything with money! Cinthia wants respect of her way of being, of her life, her professional choice! The day that they except that she has chosen to be a Physician and NOT a construction magnate is the day she will know they support her!

MÉDICOS #54, 9-28-20

Unfortunately, Patricia demonstrates for Cinthia how far her Parents are from this perspective: Patricia tells Cinthia not to worry about being late; her Father is a Patron now, nobody will mind if she is a little late. Cinthia goes ballistic: She has worked extremely hard to win the respect of everyone at the Instituto and now their presence will make everyone think she is there due to the weight of her rich Parent’s influence! Cinthia declares she is NOT going to stop exerting herself and being who she is! Understand? Yes, Patricia nods. Cinthia storms out; her Mom can go, stay, do whatever she wishes! The rocky beginning of the day continues when Cinthia overhears Pam and Tania talking about her “Rich Daddy” and the possibility of privileges for Cinthia. OOOOPS! Cinthia confronts them, telling them she does not like gossip. Daniel runs after her trying to smooth things over but wonders why she didn’t confide in him as a friend of confidence. He is a friend of confidence; she didn’t tell him because the money is not hers, it’s her Dad’s; she doesn’t want everyone looking at her differently because her Dad is a Patron. She just wants to do her work like everyone else and forget about yesterday!

The yumminess is in short supply but is provided by David startling Regina in line at everyone’s favorite coffee shop. They share a quick kiss which he declares delicious! How did she rest last night? Not that great. Well, he hopes she has a good day because he wants to take her out tonight for dinner. They are holding hands and facing each other. He moves in close for another kiss and whispers, “If you let me, I am going to spoil you.” She returns the gesture, whispering the same. “OOOOO, Que Rico!” David declares again and steps back just a bit to look at Regina and relish the anticipation of this mutual promise. He tells her he just needed to see her quickly to make sure she was okay. Yes, she is okay. “I like this David, this David that is not so rude, so grrrrrrr, so visceral. It’s very lovely.” “Well, with you I can’t be any other way because you drive me crazy.” Ana is passing by the coffee shop and stops to take in this scene, leaning against the door with her hand on her hip. David and Regina begin to kiss gently but urgently, the environs of the coffee shop having melted into nothingness. Ana is not melting but she’s hot and marches straight into the OPC office where Art is doing his rotation. She plops down and asks him why he and Regina are not together? They make such a good couple and everybody can see he’s still crazy about her! Art tells Ana that Regina wasn’t feeling it with him. She lies on David, saying that he played with her and used her and she ended up hurt. The only difference is that she didn’t have anybody to defend her like Regina has. David doesn’t take anything seriously: he’s going to do the same to Regina! Art has to protect Regina; do something; get close to her, fight for her! Ana leaves telling Art if he needs anything, she’s on his side! Reminiscent of when Pam told him it’s time he thought more about himself; Art takes Ana’s words to heart and looks off into the distance visualizing how he’s going to use this new information. We’ll find out soon enough.

MÉDICOS #54, 9-28-20

Regina and Pam go to see Eric, the patient with hemorrhagic dengue fever. He looks 1000% better and is ready for discharge! Regina introduces Pam as a Doctor who had his rare blood type and made the first, life-saving donation to Eric. Eric and Mom are ecstatic and grateful. The value of donating blood is joyfully driven home in this segment. Eric tells Pamela not to hesitate if she ever needs blood from him! Eric can do so once he is better; he is free to go but should take it slowly!

Regina sees another patient, Jacobo, who serves as a PSA for the dangers of high cholesterol, obesity and smoking. Jacobo passed out at home while eating a big hunk of bread slathered with butter. He and his wife arrive by ambulance to the ER. Jacobo regains consciousness after a short time and wonders what is going on? Regina, Tania and Pam attend Jacobo. She asks if he’s diabetic; does he have hypertension? No. But he does smoke. He’s never had his cholesterol levels checked. He has weakness in his extremities. Regina’s initial diagnosis is blocked arteries. Jacobo says he’s better and wants to go home. No, he will be admitted for blood tests, a vascular ultrasound and angiogram. He may feel good now, but he could have several blockages; even one could be deadly. He understands he has to stay. Regina tells him that with lifestyle changes like a healthy diet, exercise, stopping smoking, he can recover and live a healthy life: it all depends on him!

Art sees Andrea, the young Mother who found a lump in her breast. The tests are back and it is suggestive of cancer. The diagnosis has to be confirmed by a biopsy of the lump. She is very upset but Art assures her breast cancer is very survivable: if cancerous, the lump can be removed, followed by a course of chemotherapy and perhaps radiation. Andrea goes home and seems to feel better but dissolves in tearful anxiety as she tells her husband the news. He accepts and normalizes her fear but reassures her that, just as the Doctor said, it is survivable and they will do so together; he is with her all the way!

MÉDICOS #54, 9-28-20

How is Aurora this morning? She wakes up, sees Gonzalo, asks him what is he doing there and announces she would rather die than accept his help. She wants to go home? NO! Doesn’t she want to live for Felipe? She doesn’t want to be a burden on him. Well, Javier doesn’t want her to be a burden on him either; he asks to meet with Gonzalo and tells him as much. Gonzalo is shocked! What about Felipe? How can he abandon her at a time like this? Javier thinks he is not the one indicated for this new crisis. Gonzalo is not only a Doctor, he is Felipe’s Father. He is tired of taking care of her; this is too much, he’s giving Gonzalo his family back! After recovering from the shock, Gonzalo is angry! Javier never loved Aurora! Javier says Gonzolo doesn’t know what he’s talking about. When he took up with Aurora, he had already lost them long before; but now, he’s out! Gonzalo tells Javier he hopes he has the spine to tell Aurora himself and then puts him out of his office!

Thank goodness for a lovely scene where Regina finds the dejected Gonzalo who tells her about the double whammy he just got: the cancer and the abandonment. He always dreamed of Aurora coming back to him but he never dreamed it would be this way. Regina steps right in with a comforting embrace, a box of tissues and a healing reframing of the situation: He always told her there were things in life you could not control; their leaving was one of those. They distanced themselves from him, but he has always been there for them. He loves them and he is in a position to help Aurora and move them through this. She tells him Aurora is very fortunate to have him because he will NOT give up and will be there for them!

MÉDICOS #54, 9-28-20 END

Javier gathers his spine and goes to Aurora’s room where he tells them he is tired; he does not want to see her suffer; it’s too much and he thinks it best if he leaves. Felipe asks if Gonzalo put him up to this; Aurora pipes in that yes, it must be Gonzalo’s idea. Javier strongly denies it: HE was the one who asked to speak to Gonzalo. Felipe is outraged. How can he leave his Mom when she’s dying of cancer? Javier says she’s not dying of cancer, she’s dying of pride. Aurora begs him to stay. No. Javier tells her she needs Gonzalo. Felipe calls him a coward and insists he leave! Gonzalo is outside the open door and witnessed the end of this scene. Bitter Aurora asks Gonzalo if he’s happy now. Gonzalo says he is sorry. He and Felipe step outside. Felipe wants to kill Javier! How could he leave her now? Gonzalo says, unfortunately, it’s not uncommon: taking care of a cancer patient is very demanding. Gonzalo understands it’s a time of great uncertainty, but one thing he can be sure of is that he will NOT leave his Mama! She gave him the greatest give in life when Felipe was born! Javier can do whatever the hell he wants but HE is going to fight for Felipe’s Mama’s life! Felipe doesn’t want her to die and wants Gonzalo to promise he will save her. “We’re going to take care of your Mama!” Felipe tearfully embraces Gonzalo and clings to him for a moment before suddenly composing himself, pulling away and speaking more formally. “Thank you for helping her.” Felipe promises to help Gonzalo to break through Aurora’s pride. Don’t worry, Gonzalo knows how to reach her, he says. Felipe admits he has a lot of resentment, but between the two of them, they can do it. He asks and Gonzalo tells him she is grave; they will start with chemotherapy as soon as possible. It won’t be easy but he will be there and together they will support her through the whole process. Gonzalo will be there; he will not leave them!

Finally and painfully, Art gets all up in David’s grill AGAIN! Expand if you wish. He is physically and verbally aggressive and clearly trying to provoke David. He accuses David of hiding his relationship with Ana from Regina. David tells him no such thing is true and to back off! Art declares he’s going to protect Regina because he is the one that really loves her! David observes that he had his chance; Regina rejected him and that’s what’s irking Art. “If you care so much about Regina, why don’t you start by respecting her decision and leave us in peace. If you don’t, I won’t be responsible for what happens!” Art grabs David’s arm as he attempts to leave. His eyes are blaring, his teeth are bared as he growls that he is not afraid of David’s threats and he is prepared to do ANYTHING for Regina! David says he’s not afraid of Art’s threats, either. Art leaves first and David’s expression seems to say he has seen the dawning of psychosis in Art.

MEDICOS

Lila, the few moments of happiness here seemed to be eclipsed by many lows, all of which you captured with your usual superb observations, insights and spot on humor.

Let’s start with the sweet and sublime: “yumminess is in short supply but is provided by David startling Regina in line at everyone’s favorite coffee shop” and “I like this David, this David that is not so rude, so grrrrrrr, so visceral. It’s very lovely.” Yes, sweet glimpses into blossoming love.

“David and Regina begin to kiss gently but urgently, the environs of the coffee shop having melted into nothingness” was just lovely.

“Ana is not melting but she’s hot” conveyed her dismay and covetousness perfectly.
Ana’s poisonous venom seeps into Arturo’s brain, already addled with unrequited longing and jealousy. A Jekyll and Hyde persona is evident, continuing kindness with patients, yet toward David “His eyes are blaring, his teeth are bared as he growls that he is not afraid of David’s threats and he is prepared to do ANYTHING for Regina!”. Isn’t the evilness that Rene, Connie and Miryea permeate this storyline with enough?

And now for the incomprehensible. “She doesn’t want to be a burden on him. Well, Javier doesn’t want her to be a burden on him either”. From our first glimpse of his inattention and hardly solicitous behavior toward Aurora, Javier’s cold heartedness does not come as a total shock. Thankfully Gonzalo’s earnest, honest declarations to take care of Aurora will help mend Felipe’s heart. Aurora’s is closed and enveloped with bitterness but time and actions will prove Gonzalo’s steadfast devotion. I liked Regina’s supportive words and wise advice.

I loved your expression of Andrea’s husband’s reaction to her possible cancer diagnosis “He accepts and normalizes her fear”.

Lili certainly gets an eyeful doesn’t she? Loved Miryea putting Rene down firmly without so much as a glance.

“Coni growls lustily. She beckons him for demonstrative, hungry kisses. Not that I like to think about it, but the sexual supply dynamic in this triangle has further shifted, potentially increasing the scorn factor”. Almost impossible to watch.

“The day that they accept that she has chosen to be a Physician and NOT a construction magnate is the day she will know they support her!”. I hope Cin has patience as this situation will not easily resolve. In fact this is only a preview of the dawning of the battle ahead.

With a start, I realized where I’d seen Eric before. Our dear Guachin from Ringo – minus his crazily sculpted blonde hair. It was that high wattage smile that gave him away.

Marvelous Lila. Your time and astute devotion to every detail are so appreciated. Thank you, thank you!

Diana

Diana! Buenos dias y gracias, Querida! Diana. The scenes with Ana and Art were visceral for me. They felt really yucky! Yes, to this: Ana’s poisonous venom seeps into Arturo’s brain, already addled with unrequited longing and jealousy. My gosh, how viscious Art is and how susceptible to suggestion! HE is the one who is not strong-minded, but visceral!

I'm afraid Rene and Miryea are NOT enough. Yes, like I said, for me Art crossed the line into villainy the day he followed David into the supply room, snatched the paper from his hand and verbally assaulted him. This is the second time! And David's a MAN; he's not going to tell anybody, but he should! It would be so hackneyed for Art to finally provoke him into a fight and Regina take Art's side. PLEASE, novela gods, don't do it!

Ah, Aurora. She is still a Horror! What a piece of work? So, let me get this straight: Gonzalo wasn't having an affair; she didn't come home and catch half the subdivision in bed with him; he didn't beat her or Felipe....he what...worked his can off providing for her and their son? For that she turned herself into a bitter, masochistic, whining llorona! Let her go, Gonzalo!

But, alas, he will not listen to me, but rather to you, which is better for the story:

Gonzalo’s earnest, honest declarations to take care of Aurora will help mend Felipe’s heart. Aurora’s is closed and enveloped with bitterness but time and actions will prove Gonzalo’s steadfast devotion.

Diana, thank YOU! I can't blame it all on this episode, but I didn't sleep very well last night. Your appreciation is so gratifying. I'm glad we have a day off: I'm afraid we're headed for the rocks AGAIN!

MEDICOS

Another work of art, Lila! Thank you so much for brightening my mornings with your recaps filled with such vivid descriptions and your personal take on the events.

We saw several "wrap-ups' last night, starting with the gala. I agree that it was quite abrupt and also suspect that Univision is at it again with the machete. Then we had Eric who has had quite a quick recovery; and Paco is back at work, albeit too soon.

Diana, "From our first glimpse of his inattention and hardly solicitous behavior toward Aurora, Javier’s cold heartedness does not come as a total shock." It may not have been a total shock, but I was in total disbelief, especially when he just came out and told Aurora that he was tired and couldn't handle it...and then he just "handed her over" to Gonzalo! Like a toy--"Oh, I'm tired of playing with this...you can have her back" What a sorry excuse of a man!

There is something that bothers me about Cinthia. While I understand her frustration and resistance to being controlled by her parents, she seems to go ballistic too quickly. Maybe it was the way I was raised, but I would never talk to my mother the way she talks (yells) to Patricia. Maybe if she would slow down and explain things calmly she could make some headway. OTOH, she may have already taken the calm, slow path and gotten nowhere. Oh well...it's just a story, just a story :-)

I'm having trouble accepting Livia as a doctor. Last night, it seemed like she was just reading off her script when she was telling Jacobo about his condition. When she's with David, she's mucho better, but it could be that David makes her (and anyone else) look better :-D

ANNOUNCEMENT #2

On Wednesday, due to futbol, "Medicos" will AGAIN be preempted and Dulce Ambición will air at 8PM(E).

MÉDICOS #54, 9-28-20

Hey, Rgv Chick!!!! Thank you!!!! Yah, what a piece of work, that Javier! You said it better:

he just came out and told Aurora that he was tired and couldn't handle it...and then he just "handed her over" to Gonzalo! Like a toy--"Oh, I'm tired of playing with this...you can have her back" What a sorry excuse of a man!

ITA with Cinthia. Old school raising. My Mama wouldn't have gone for that mess Cinthia is dishing!

Intresting about Livia. I know what you mean. For me, she's better when she's doing life-saving ER stuff. Since that scene was an outright PSA, it was kind of hard to deliver it like reading off a script. I thought Art felt artificial in his conversation with Andrea about breast cancer. It reminds me of product placement, which was rampant the last time I watched novelas. To haul off and start hawking some kind of cereal in the middle of your conversation with your kid can only sound stilted and slightly ridiculous!

Thanks Rgv Chick. We get a day off so I hope more reaction comes in to Javier and Art!

Wait a minute! No show tonight AND Wednesday! Uni must know I've got some reports to get done before the end of the fiscal yeaar on September 30!! Thanks Uni, thanks Rgv Chick!!

Medicos

Lila, thank you for relaying every detail of last night's drama.

Art reminds me of one of those little dogs that just keeps yapping and nipping at someone's heels. He is trying his best to provoke David into a confrontation . So far , David has been successful at just grinning and brushing him off , but sometimes those strong, silent, easygoing guys can suddenly have enough and then watch out . I've seen it happen. Ana is bitter and wants Art as an ally to break up the happy couple as is usually part of a telenovela plot . A wants B , and C wants D , but B want D , so A and B plot . #algebra

The evil triangle are the only ones moving sofas right now. Ugh

Medicos. Wonderful recap, Lila! Ooh, Lila, you should write romance novels! I loved your description of Regina and David in the coffee shop. And Ana of course is stirring the pot to get David back--no matter what she says. Javier is incredibly disgusting--and Aurora turns out to be a multi-faceted idiot. Makes you wonder what Gonzalo ever saw in her. "Javier gathers his spine." Good one! Well, my mama wouldn't have behaved like Patricia. She believed her children should follow their own path and was proud of all of us--the college professor, the airline pilot, the lab director, the colonel/cpa, the judge and the nurse practitioner/ hospital administrator. :)

MÉDICOS

Thanks Lila!

I wish the gala had a better wrap up then what we saw (hopefully nothing was cut). But it definitely was a decent introduction to what happened in this episode particularly regarding Gonzalo and Cinthia.

I wasn’t completely surprised by Javier’s decision but Aurora is certainly stubborn. Sure, Gonzalo made mistakes in the past by working too much and neglecting his family but ultimately it’s that hard work that may save Aurora now. Javier might be giving up just a bit too easily. While he feels it’s the right decision obviously Aurora is upset about it. He obviously doesn’t love her the way she wants while Gonzalo still extends unconditional love and support in his own way.

I think it’s understandable why Cinthia is upset. I think what set her off is that Patricia is insinuating that it’s okay to be late for no reason and maybe even take time off for non emergencies (vacation etc) whenever Cinthia wants. But Cinthia obviously wants to have a reason to do those things and not feel privileged all of a sudden. It was kinda weird to see some of her coworkers gossip about it like they don’t already know how humble she is.

With no new episode until Thursday I may come back and read the recap again before then.

Hola, SpanProf!!!! y gracias, de verdad! Girl, I like how you express yourself! You take no prisoners:

Javier is incredibly disgusting--and Aurora turns out to be a multi-faceted idiot.

I could've saved myself a lot of time with THAT line! Quite breathtaking, actually!

And hugs to your sweet Mama! What uncessary trouble Cinthia's family is making for itself! Now with Juanpa in the picture, maybe Rafa will working even harder to get straight. What if he decides he wants to be a businessman to get away from the temptation of drugs that being an Anesthesiologist presents to him? That could work!

MEDICOS

Rgv Chick, "...he just "handed her over" to Gonzalo! Like a toy--"Oh, I'm tired of playing with this...you can have her back" What a sorry excuse of a man!." Agree amiga. He dispatched her as he would an inanimate object. Despicable.

For whatever reason, Javier's cold completely detached demeanor the first time we saw him told me he had already checked out mentally. So while I wasn't totally surprised, I was completely disgusted.

I suspect Cinthia's disagreement with her parents over her career choice (and likely much more) is long standing. While I do not agree with her speaking the way she does to her mother, it seems to have little to no effect. Patricia continues to carry on with her daughter's pleas falling on deaf ears. If Cin spoke up quietly, her words would have evaporated in the wind altogether. SpanProf, my mother was not a Patricia either and was proud of her children and loved us despite our many faults for who we were.

Lila, I'm so happy you will have a well deserved break! Good luck with those reports!!

Diana

MEDICOS

LILA, you are getting a two-day break, which you so richly deserve, but in the meantime, agree with prior comment that you should be a romance novelist.

Even though the "yumminess was in short supply", you gave us this:

David and Regina begin to kiss gently but urgently, the environs of the coffee shop having melted into nothingness

Yum indeed. I could almost TASTE those kisses. Thanks amiga.

Liked the way you put this also:

Regina steps right in with a comforting embrace, a box of tissues and a healing reframe of the situation.

I was not surprised by Javier's decision. I've known a lot of cancer patients over the years. Many husbands simply leave--saying "I didn't sign up for this." Then it's the girlfriends who step in, helping change dressings after surgery, manage meals, child care etc.

THANKFULLY THIS IS NOT ALWAYS THE CASE THOUGH.

Recently, I had the joy of watching a husband care faithfully for his wife, managing to work, but also do the cooking, help her to get up and get dressed each day, taking her to their vacation home for get-togethers with the family, or to soccer games with the grandchildren, tenderly watching over her in every way. It did not change the final outcome. She did pass away, but not after fighting and praying with everything she had for 3 years.. She died...yes, but she died surrounded by love.

I would be very happy to see Gonzalo regain the love of his son--especially since Mireya, Constanza and René are all tunneling the ground beneath his feet. Actually, I think Gonzalo would be delighted to return to being in charge of Urgencias and dealing directly with patients every day, rather than being stuck behind a desk. That's his joy and his gift. But we do need to get an honest man as director and assistant director and send Mireya, René and Constanza off to the seventh circle of Hell.

Great recap as always, LILA. Not surprised TF said he just might re-read it in days to come. High praise, m'dear.

MÉDICOS #53, 9-25-20

Hey, TF! Thank you SO MUCH! You know, I guess I need to get over Aurora's exaggerated sense of victimhood. The writers did not fill her out at all. She seems selfish and, as SpanProf said, "a multi-faceted idiot!" There's no accounting for taste in matters of the heart but jeezopete! Gonzalo must have been like Daniel thinking "a girl like that would never look twice at me!" Yah. Guess I'll stop dragging her around!

TF TOTALLY on board with this! I was disappointed in Pamela and Tania: It was kinda weird to see some of her coworkers gossip about it like they don’t already know how humble she is. If she'd wanted priveleges, she would've come in like Marco, tooting his own horn and asking for unearned perks! Too ad!

Yes, do come back, TF. I would love to hear what you think about the Art/Regina/David/Ana mess. That is, the mess Art and Ana are trying to make of it!

Judyb, yes, my dear friend Gen , who battled lung cancer for three years and died just 4 months after I lost the love of my life , was cared for loving throughout those years by her devoted husband. She told me many times that he was her lifeline and that she was positive that my dear hub would meet her on the other side to help her make the transition because she said " That's what he always did..he helped people. " Two good men. When you have been lucky enough to know men like those two, her hub and mine , someone like Javier is shameful.

MEDICOS

"She died...yes, but she died surrounded by love" made me tear up Judy. It is hopeful that true and unconditional love and devotion does exist.

Susanlynn, your story is equally touching. I am glad you had two such wonderful men in your life.

And TF and Lila, I was also disappointed with Pamela and Tania, both of whom know better. Such childish gossip was beneath them. It is a shame that Tania and Cinthia had taken huge strides forward in their personal relationship only to take a huge step back.

Diana

Médicos

Thank you Lila!! I haven’t watched the episode yet, but hey now I have an extra couple of days to watch it lol. I definitely know I don’t want to watch any of those scenes with Rene, but I am looking forward to seeing David and Regina!

It had already crossed my mind before that Ana and Art might join forces to get in between David and Regina, but at that point I had thought, nah Arturo wouldn’t be up for something like that. Now I believe he would be up for anything that gets David away from Regina. Even though he didn’t “plan” anything with Ana, he is definitely pushing David’s buttons on purpose. You’re right Lila in that David is a man who isn’t going to tell anyone about it, even though he should. If it was the other way around, Art would have ran crying to Regina from the get-go and I think that’s his intention- to push David until he does something that he can go tell Regina about. I haven’t seen the scene yet, but Art grabbed David? This has moved quickly from verbal harassment to physical. David is going to end up punching him in the face. I want to believe it wouldn’t happen, but I don’t think Art is going to stop until it does

PHEW! Long day! Hey, Susanlynn!!!! How are you? Sorry I missed you. Had a webinar today. Anywho, yah, Art is working my nerves! I felt terrible after he attacked David. Thanks, Diana! Thought I would finish today, but, well, the deadline is tomorrow. I'll finfish for sure!

Hey, it's Judy!Judy!Judy! I'm loving the break!!! Thanks, Girl. Well, got me a little David fix last night and Regina was SO SWEET with Gonzalo! He was there for her when she was crushed by Sergio and she has been a rock for Gonzalo!

JudyB, that is a lovely story about your friend. Thank you for sharing that as a real life counter balance to Javier's checking out! Let him not darken our screens any more!

ITA with you on Gonzalo regaining the love of his son and returning to full time clinical work. He would love it! Good point, though:

But we do need to get an honest man as director and assistant director and send Mireya, René and Constanza off to the seventh circle of Hell.

Gracias, Amiga!: it was a good show. Hope we can chew the fat over the next couple of days; maybe hear more positive stories like the one you shared. Positive stories never get old!

UnOp! Hey, Girl! Can't wait for you to watch and tell me what you think of the David/Regina/Art/Ana quadrangle. I could have strangled that heffa lying on David!

If it was the other way around, Art would have ran crying to Regina from the get-go and I think that’s his intention- to push David until he does something that he can go tell Regina about.

Oh yeah, Art feels confident that if he pushes David over the edge, Regina will side with him and STAY with him. Nasty piece of work, that Art, I don't care how attentive he is to patients. I feel like he could be abusive, even to Regina. JERK!!

UnOp! You have to join me in yelling at your TV! Art is trying to push our David! JAJAJAJAJAJAJA!!!!

Thanks, UnOp!

Art and Anna are a poisonous combination. His cavalier attitude toward Cecilia's neediness, before she departed, shows he is an egocentric stalker, psycho jerk. Ana is slimily manipulative, but David has her number and Art"s. I just hope Regina doesn't waiver. To me she is the weakest link. BTW Art, would you get the point more directly if you saw David & Regina sleeping together? Give it up, Art.

Okay, I’m back lol

Regarding Regina/David/Ana/Art : after reading y’all’s comments as well I do think that Art is capable of laying on a bit of emotional abuse. I think Ana is certainly taking advantage of the situation and definitely appreciates an ally as twisted as that sounds.
