El Cumache is caught between a rock and hard place and another hard place . . . Marcia, Atilio, Isabel . . .

We found out this all takes place in the state of Veracruz from the license plate on the rental car.

Oropo has a wig on.

According to Isidro and Oropo, bad things are on the hoirzon.

Things are about to get more interesting for Atilio in jail.


Questions:

Can Lucrecia regain consciousness just long enough to tell Iggy that Atilio is his father? Puhleeeeze!

Who will discover that the brakes on the car was manipulated with?

I've only watched about half of this, but I can already say that as some actresses cry ugly. Mariana sure does GRUNT ugly (while she was crawling out of the wrecked car.)

And how is it that these stoopid people who know people are bad, dishonest liars ask them for the truth. Isabel asking Cumache about Marcia and the baby was wasted airtime. And she threatens him with sending him to jail??? I think he has more serious threats to worry about...like being sent middle earth!

So Atilio has the sicko rapist as a cell neighbor who watches him with a mirror...and sees Atilio standing up! Ha! and he dares taunt Atilio with some day having a little taste of Mariana. Those other prison mates should have a taste of him!

I am amazed that the priest is still alive. WOW! Hope he stays that way; now if he can only find his way out of the mine.

I know it's a staple of telenovelas but with this one it's way past silly all the coincidences, misunderstandings, and perfectly timed encounters. Yadira just happens to see Camilo and indigenous girl Itzel talking and then Itzel kisses Camilo who is not interested. But Yadira just sees that they kissed. Then Oropo arrives by Yadira and Itzel points them out to Camilo. See? Yadira and Oropo, sitting under a tree, one, two, three.

Hey, great deal, Cumache! Forget Atilio, he might just kill you if he ever found out that you tried to kill Mariana. Better to take up with sexy Marcia. You might even get to sleep with her, and just possibly get to wake up the next morning. Maybe.

BTW, Cumache, how on earth did you not notice that the body you deposited in the mine was still breathing?

Did I miss something along the way here? Is Marcia actually now carrying a torch for Ignacio?
In any event she seems ready enough to kill him if he keeps babbling on about Mariana.

Hoo, boy! When this TN first began somebody, maybe JudyB, said we should prepare ourselves for a circus. More like an insane asylum.

I have managed to watch two episodes of this TN, and lost a couple because the hard drive was full. Oh, well. It's nice, but nothing great and I don't think I'm going to try to continue watching it.

One cool thing is that Pedro Fernandéz's current girlfriend is Vicky, played by Luz Elena González who was Susana in Sin tu mirada. But this is a very different, younger, role.

Mariana has officially gone around the bend with Marcia and Chachi. Notice I didn't include Lola on that group.

Atilio fs finally getting a taste of his own medicine plus a visit from Iván !

No, Iggy, you are not responsible for this mess but Lucrecia is for not telling the truth from the get go.

Muerta en vida. Will Lucrecia become a viva muerta like on the “Walking Dead”? Wordplay. Trivia: Patricia Reyes Spíndola appeared in seasons 1&2 of “Fear the Walking Dead” . She played the wife of the character played by Rubén Blades.

It as always astounding to me the number of head injuries and loss of consciousness these novela characters suffer without any “apparent” after effects.

How long will El Cumache be able to play both sides against the middle without being caught? If he were smart, he would clean out Arilio’s safe and leave town now.

Bummer: Atilio had his revenge.

There is always somebody listening in.

Lip liner should blend in with lipstick so it isn’t a distraction.

The meteors are aligning to fall on Marcia--1) doggie leads the priest out of the mine just in time to here the church bells announcing a celebration and 2) Marcia sneers at baby Iggy while Lucrecia listened and realized what a fool she has been to think that Marcia was EVER sincere.

Thanks for the trivia Jarifa! Always nice to learn about the other roles these actors have had, especially in English speaking movies!

Mariana continues to be such a contradictory ditz. She has been pushing away Iggy and tells him that she will NEVER forgive him, then starts boohooing that he is getting married through the church...and she will lose him FOREVER. UGHHH!

Well, the dinner was very short. Can and Sanem each gave their version of how they met each other.

Sanem convinced Osman to go to the motivational camp by dragging Ayhan, her sister, to the begging scene so she could bat her eyes at OSman who likes her mucho mucho!

Osman drove up to the motivational camp in a 55 classic right after Can parked his truck. Can admired the car and conversed with Osman which upset Sanem since she doesn't trust Osman to hold his tongue. The camp activities were what I expected until they got to the men's soccer game. I thought Sanem stopping the game right after it started to force Osman out and go with her to bake cookies (all to get Osman away from Can) was a bit much. She had always looked like a cute fool, but in this scene she looked crazy foolish.

Thank you, Jarifa! I agree that Mariana is a bit crazy right now, but even for a crazy person it is a bit much to just stand in the back of the church crying while your ex is getting married. Crying, but not saying anything else.

I really thought it would be the priest who would make it to the church at the very last second. If he can't go fast enough right now he should send Isidro's dog ahead with instructions to stop the ceremony any way he can until he, the priest, can get there. That dog is about the only one around town with any smarts.

And just what was Marcia doing the night before her wedding? It seems that Iván knows the way to her... heart.

Jarifa, if Cumache were smart he would never have gotten himself involved in any of this, starting with crazy Atilio's attack on the Lugo Novarro hacienda. That has to be more than 20 years in the past now. Twenty-plus years of boot licking and killing innocents and he is still living in a hut and still can't get a girlfriend. Well, to be fair, the no girlfriend thing might be because of those shirts he wears.

And about Atilio, did he kill the former warden or what? If he did, what, it's no big deal? Back to your cell and behave now?

Marcia did make a really good-looking bride. But I guess that's true of all brides; there is just something about a good-looking woman in a beautiful white dress and carrying a bouquet of flowers.
But if you went to work like that every day I suppose the novelty would soon wear off  :-)

Andy, “. . . the no girlfriend thing might be because of those shirts he wears.” So true. He probably has every color of the rainbow in his current satin shirt collection. Too funny. ITA about the dog. I was hoping for the priest to come staggering down the aisle accusing Marcia of trying to kill him and also announcing all of her other secrets. Could he still be on the way? I could even see him pushing the ever weeping Mariana out of the way. That would be sweeeet! Too bad Atilio is on the upswing in the prison.

Steve, IMHO they are ALL stupid except for Lola and Isidro.

Too bad the puppy didn't accompany the priest back to the church and do a second puppy rescue. He “id’ed” El Cumache but nobody knows how to talk “puppy.”

The orchid shirt looked good on Iggy.

Atlio proposes to Mariana and she refused. The look of disgust on her face was memorable.

Did I already say that Mariana got what she deserved? Only has herself to blame? Well, if I didn't, I do so now.

Now, Lucrecia needs to regain consciousness since she has heard it ALL. She also must have heard Macia’s parting death threat.

Couldn't Chachi just overdose already?

Why do the indigenous people look like they were costumed by the wardrobe department from 1940’s American westerns?

Oooo. Marcia is sending Atilio a poisoned treat!, some money but no lawyer.

Carol goes on a fact finding mission in Atilio’s cell. She suggests Iván ally himself to avoid jail if Atilio is successful with suing him about the hotel. Sounds like Carol would be the winner in that deal.

Isidro senses a great suffering inside Lucreciia. Thry cannot lose faith

Whiny Mariana tells Iggy what a bad day SHE has had!!! They are suddenly even Steven.

Atilio has his BS meter on full force when he asks if El Cumache if he killed the priest

Keep drinking Atilio from what seems to be a bottomless bottle. So, when is the poison supposed to work? Next year? I kept waiting for him to hit the floor.

Iván proposes an alliance to Atilio. They both want to take Iggy down .. . a lawyer magically appears and Atilio rolls into his hacienda.

Suggestion: since this takes place in the jungle, somebody should have had a talking parrot that could tell them everything that happened unlike the puppy. The parrot could have dive-bombed El Cumache and protected el padre all the way back to and inside the church. Bird beaks and claws are formidable weapons. Anybody remember “The Vikings”?

Oh, good grief! The priest goes to the sacristy first? He must be hungry, why didn't he drop by the local taquería as well?

I am just starting to watch today's episodes, but I'm already upset. Oh, well.

Watching some other telenovelas I was of the opinion that Jorge Salinas is a pretty decent actor. Now I'm wondering if he can do anything beyond looking glum and resigned.

The wedding, is spite of everything, was very nice. I don't remember if I ever did so before, but today I looked up some information on Mexican wedding ceremonies and customs, the gold coins, the lasso, etc. It's a very nice ceremony, and evil Marcia made a beautiful bride, but this doesn't bode well for her. She and Iggy are now married in the eyes of the Church, never to be put asunder. So then how do Mariana and Iggy...?
Maybe an annulment, maybe something quicker.

Really too bad about the priest. Cumache has a lot to pay for.
I really shouldn't laugh, but Padre Pedro is not good at keeping his eyes from twitching when he's supposed to be dead. I can forgive the first time, in the rectory, because he wasn't really dead, but he did it again in the confessional. Lucrecia is doing a better job of being "muerta en vida".

Those prisoners certainly get excited whenever a decent-looking woman arrives. They're worse than my friends, almost. Most of my friends.

Camilo has an embarrassment of riches, but no Yadira; he should have fun at the office.

I see Atilio gets special privileges in prison, and now is sprung and home.

Steve: Yeah, all too often the "good" girls are just boring, while the bad girls are often better-looking and more interesting.

I can’t believe they killed off the priest after all
that trouble of puppy finding him and saving him from Cumache (the first time). More wasted airtime. I was actually expecting puppy to run into the church and make a ruckus.

Andy, I would have enjoyed the wedding but just knowing that Marcia was getting her way kinda ruined it for me. BTW, she finally wore shoes that didn’t squeak!!

Mariana is such a ditz; it wouldn’t bother me a bit if she chained herself to Atilio.

If/when Lucrecia wakes up, I hope she has sense enough to fake that she’s still Muerta en Vida long enough to get away from Marcia before she she starts talking.

Jarifa, I was wondering if Ati and all the others who drank that wine would keel over too! And love your suggestion about the parrot!

Jarifa, thank you for your summary. As usual, it was a big help. It was also interesting and funny. Iggy wore an orchid shirt?
Not that I really care what Iggy wore, but I did look up "orchid" as a color. I'm glad I missed that scene :-)

Also a nice idea for the parrot. It might have worked. I don't know much about parrots but every time I read something about them there is mention of just how intelligent they are. And they are descended from dinosaurs so I imagine they could be tough if they want to be :-)

Rgv Chickie, Marcia finally wore shoes that didn't squeak? Her shoes usually squeak? I had no idea. I doubt it's important, but it is amazing what different people pick up on in these telenovelas.

Orchid shirts and squeaky shoes. This is why I always look forward to summaries or recaps and the comments, they provide lots of things I miss just watching, sometimes some crucial points that help make more sense of the plot.

And sometimes just things that make me laugh, like orchid shirts and squeaky shoes.
