Médicos: Linea de Vida

Good morning, Peeps and anyone with any influence over season 2 of Médicos: Linea de Vida!

First of all, I loved the show and I thank you! The characters were brilliantly portrayed by your stellar cast and I certainly hope there can be a second season. That said, even above that I sincerely wish the entire cast, crew, and everyone involved in the production of Médicos and their families health and safety. With the incredible challenge the world is facing from COVID-19, your and our health and safety is first!

My simple request is to please allow your lead couple, David and Regina, to reconcile and to stay together until the end. Please honor your Red Thread metaphor and don't break that thread with further separations, or sexual liaisons or marriages to others. PLEASE!

Let them face intense challenges, YES; conflicts, YES; even disagreements between themselves but let them resolve them because their number one commitment is their love of one another! Let Regina take the advice she gave Luz and Gonzalo in the first season to heart and fight for her love of David! Let them both stand by and fight for their love against everything and everybody!

Let them talk to each other. Yes, they can argue, but don't let them break up again. Facing challenges, threats, and having disagreements will create the tension that seems to be a necessary ingredient for romantic couples and will present the opportunity for many passionate scenes of mutual help, support, rescue and making up! Yah. Making up! You know what I mean! Let chaos swirl around them in the Instituto, in the city, among the lives of their friends, families, colleagues and even between themselves but LET THE RED THREAD HOLD THEM TOGETHER!!! Let them be an example of faith and love in the face of the storms of life!

I feel certain if you do this, viewership will even increase. I've seen clips of your shows translated into other languages. People here in the United States who don't understand a lick of Spanish watch your shows! Wonderful sites like this help them understand and enjoy your shows. The people on this site are so committed to doing so, some of them have covered your shows as literally their last act on this earth! Why? These stories are not just Mexican, they are human and the actors in THIS show did a wonderful job and we want more! You have a POWER COUPLE in Regina and David! Don't let them hurt each other anymore! Don't let them humiliate each other! Again, let them stand united in love for each other and against the world if they have to! Do that, I think your ratings will go through the roof!

Thank you for Médicos: Linea de Vida and thank you for your attention!

BRAVO, LILA!! DITTO to all your requests and suggestions. It has been a LONG time since the main protags have been the "hottest" couple. In this case, Rafa and Cinthia were the couple who I rooted for most when it should have been David and Regina. And I have to point out as others did, that Regina is the one who needs to change her attitude and loyalty to making the relationship work. Let the TNs gods hear us!

I would also like to see Carmen return. That is a storyline that could be quite interesting, I especially would like to see the bonding between Pam and Carmen, with support for her adoptive parents. They could all be one happy family :-)

I've got more, but will return laters...

Thanks, Rgv Chick! Thank for all you do! I pray someone from MLdV actually reads this! They've got a serious fan base here!

I like what you say about Carmen! Another unfortunate soul could be the liver donor. That donor doesn't necessarily have to be featured in the storyline but yah, bonding between Pam and Carmen with support of Pilar and Augustin would be lovely. Leaving it this way is kind of jagged and unfinished! Excellent idea!

AGREED. Post-breakup, it was really hard to root for David and Regina to be together.. but while they were dating they were ON FIRE! I had not seen a TN couple have so much chemistry in a long time. Their complicity, the giggling, the twinkle in their eyes! People can be the greatest actors, but with chemistry- it’s either there or it’s not. And David and Regina had it. I mean if there was no apparent chemistry we wouldn’t have waited over 75% of the novela for a KISS lol. And they wasted it by keeping them apart for no real reason

Usually, the main couple in TNs break up and get back together multiple times, but here, they waited so long to get them together that it honestly would have made sense for them to stay together through the end of the TN. It’s not like there would be a lack of drama, everyone else’s life was falling apart! David could have still worked at the clinic, worked with Ana to get the info, Regina could get jealous... like you said Lila, they could have disagreements or arguments and NOT call it quits!

Also wanted to comment on what you guys were saying about maybe Livia or the directors dropping the ball with some of the scenes.. it’s really interesting, I hadn’t thought about that! Maybe it’s not the writers have intentionally made the character a certain way, but that things were lost along the way.. by the time the dialogue goes through the actor/director/producer the final product could be way different than that the writers were intending. I hope that they do, at least periodically, read about what the public thinks about their characters. I would imagine it’s important for them to know whether what they’re trying to portray is actually coming across to the viewers

MEDICOS

Hey, UnOp! Thanks for adding your voice! You are so right about "David and Regina's" chemistry!

I mean if there was no apparent chemistry we wouldn’t have waited over 75% of the novela for a KISS lol. And they wasted it by keeping them apart for no real reason

That's what I'm asking the writers NOT to do. They've done that keeping them apart thing! Give it up! Try a little tenderness! Try a LOT of tenderness! Let that chemistry we saw that kept us faithfully watching just for that kiss; let that chemistry be a permanent centerpiece in the rest of the show!!

Yes, UnOP, I hope it IS important for them what the audience thinks. I imagine we're not the target being primarily native English speakers in the U.S., but the show is broadcast in this market so I hope what we think matters a little. AND, I can't imagine the Spanish-speaking audience wouldn't love this as well: these are human emotions!

I sure hope they stop by!

I wholeheartedly endorse and echo all of your comments Lila, Rgv Chick and Unsolicited.

While the course (curse) of true love never runs smoothly, it is the steadfast devotion, unwavering trust coupled with the implicit understanding that no one, that nothing will tear them asunder.

Never is love or trust more tested than when character and circumstance are sorely tested. Lies and evil machinations aside, at the core, there must be faith.

And yes, so few recent leading couples have been allowed to follow that formula.

One of the reasons I loved Pasion was that once Fernando Colunga and Susana Gonzales' characters finally came together, they fought fiercely to overcome every treachery and tragedy thrown their way.

"Let them face intense challenges, YES; conflicts, YES; even disagreements between themselves but let them resolve them because their number one commitment is their love of one another!" Thank you Lila. You added the most important element - commitment! It is so much easier to give up, to lack the stamina to fight demons attacking heart and soul.

Rgv Chick, I also hope Carmen comes back in season two. So much to resolve. And I readily admit I was not enamored with Rafa early on, but that scene in Cin's apartment was very hot. I think an important side note on this was that Rafa declared that he loved Cinthia, which is what she wanted and needed to hear.

Unsolicited, I have to include your comment as well: "We had not seen a TN couple have so much chemistry in a long time. And they wasted it by keeping them apart for no real reason". Most excellent. From your lips to (hopefully) the writers ears! :)

It's been a joy watching this with all of you. Lila, you are amazing.

Hi, Diana!!! Thanks, Hon! I'm going to let this go, really, but I'm glad you added valuable and eloquent points to our plea to the writers. Again, they are only human like us and if Rgv Chick and others say they bop in sometimes, why not give it a try!

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND TRUE!!!

One of the reasons I loved Pasion was that once Fernando Colunga and Susana Gonzales' characters finally came together, they fought fiercely to overcome every treachery and tragedy thrown their way.

YES MA'AM!!! LOVED PASSION!! ITA with ALL your reasons! I understand that novelas are formulai; why not use this winning formula!!

And I readily admit I was not enamored with Rafa early on, but that scene in Cin's apartment was very hot. I think an important side note on this was that Rafa declared that he loved Cinthia, which is what she wanted and needed to hear.

OH, YES! We learned somewhat into the story after Tania's roll in the hay with Rafa that part of what was at the root of Rafa's drug use what his longing for Cinthia. When Cinthia finally listened to Tania and she was able to tell her about Rafa's drug use, Tania said "he gets worse when you distance yourself from him." Rafa's first "drug" of choice was an attempt to deaden the pain of his fiance's rejection and a kind of revenge against all women by "loving" and leaving them, discharging and discarding them like a used kleenex. Underneath this, all the time, from the first show, he loved Cinthia. But yes, she held out for him to "give up his galan act," and overcome his subjstance abuse problem. He was able to achieve both through thereapy. Rafa was there for her when the war with her Parents was raging. When he declared he loved her, she joyfully acknowledged his capacity to love, declared her love for him and ya, fireworks!!

Thanks, Diana!!! I miss our daily chats on the Patio, but I'm still around. A probably long, cold winter is coming and I'm thinking I'll join one of the Patios after they move them inside by the fireplace!

How I relish in your wisdom and eloquence! These quotes from you are keepers :-)

Thank you for your very kind comments Lila and Rgv Chick.

Unwavering support and great kindness have always distinguished the patio's denizens.

And the truth is, both of your recaps have always nourished minds and hearts. True treasures.

Good morning, Diana and anyone reading this page and these lines! I wish you Peace today; may you and all your love ones be Blessed!

I'm reviewing Caray and had forgotten I was on "La Gata" recap team way back in 2014! One of the reasons I came back to Caray was to keep my Spanish tuned up and, as one of our good friends said, to stave off dementia! Well, apparently it's a good idea because I can't remember the other novelas I helped recap! I DO remember MIVAC! It's going to be fun searching the index (and my computer) for others I helped retell. I've got several streaming services; maybe I'll even rewatch some of these or others that I missed!

Happy Sunday!!

Good Morning, Diana and Lila...and as Lila said "anyone reading this page and these lines!"

Lila, if you type in your name into the "Search" box on the sidebar, you'll get a listing of anything and everything you have posted or commented on. Happy hunting!!:-)

Have a beautiful day! Hope to "see" you all soon here or on another patio!

OMG!!!!

Thanks, Rgv Chick!!! WHOA! Thanks, I didn't realize that! Oh, this IS going to be fun!!!

Gracias!!

Good Sunday afternoon everyone.

The weather has lost track of time. It is like a warm spring day here!

Rgv Chick, I had no idea you could use the search function that way. Gracias....

Rgv Chick, will see you on Imperio. Lila, can't wait to hear from you again.

Diana
