"MEPS" Episode 106 (Part VIII)
91.) We see Liliana wandering through the hallway & walking into Artemio Bravos' office at Bravo HQ & she wanders over to the window overlooking the grounds of Bravo HQ as Artemio & one of his assistants enter the office.

92.) Artemio, like an Army Drill Sergeant, barks Liliana's name twice. She turns around & is shocked as she stared at him (she thinks he looks like her father, Daddy Elizalde: guessing the two are likely twin brothers). While Liliana is freaked out by looking at Artemio face-to-face, she is so freaked out that she stammers to the other side of the room.

Artemio files through pictures & finds the picture of the late Buji Montserrat & notices that Liliana has Buji Montserrat's eyes.

93.) Over across town, Jackass #2 Camilo meets with Lovely Norton (AKA Venus Garcia) at his bachelor pad condominium.

94.) While Jackass #2 Camilo is still putting the moves on Lovely/Venus, they're interrupted by Franco's phone call & informs Jackass #2 Camilo that Steve, Jr., has agreed to meet with him at Casa Santorro (Las Animas HQ).

95.) Inside Santiago's studio at the Elizalde Mansion, we see him painting once again while Tomasa placed a tray with pitcher of lemonade on the desk.

96.) Now back over at Bravo HQ: female associate with a tray with water over to Artemio's office along with breakfast snacks. Liliana grabs a glass of water & gulps it down fast (she must be thirsty & probably hungry too). Artemio returns to the office, Liliana (who's freaked out by this point) backs away from the psychopath, he then tells her she'll be here at Bravo HQ for a long while.

97.) Once again back at the Elizalde Mansion: another typical argument between Mooching Damian & Redhead.

98.) Psycho Barbara (who's at Rosenda's ugly ass apartment in the hood) is notified via cell phone by Artemio that he's got Liliana over at Bravo HQ. She gets excited & gleefully EVIL smiles at the thought of torturing poor Liliana once again.

While that's going on: back at Bravo HQ: Liliana looked like she was going to attempt a break at escaping, but stops after seeing Ciro's ghost once again near the doorway & smiling at her.

99.) Casa Santorro: Franco meets with Redhead at his office. He informs her about Dr. Obregon's phone call with Daddy Elizalde as well as the ransom; Redhead thinks it's nothing more but a sinister trap, Franco agrees with her theory.

100.) Back at hood: Rosenda tells Psycho Barbara that Aurora confessed to Rosenda earlier in the day, that the handkerchief was Aurora's only memory of her biological mother: Rebeca Sanchez, which Psycho Barbara hyperventilates.

101.) Over at the Elizalde Mansion: Mooching Damian yells at Tomasa to leave him alone. She gets the Hell out of dodge real quick!

Now back at the hood: Rosenda give a few more details about Aurora bringing up the handkerchief & her biological mother, Rebeca Sanchez. Psycho Barbara feels distraught after all of this (NO SHIT PSYCHO BABS after what you did to your own biological daughter, by letting Jackass #2 Camilo raping her).

102.) Priscilla goes off on Creepy Vlad at Vlad's crappy apartment by once again: declaring the baby she's carrying is Jackass #1 Anibal's & storms off as she also states she will NEVER see him again & leave her alone (good luck with that Prissy).

103.) Aurora goes to one of the major convents in town & cries to Mother Superior about her problems; sounds like she'll be staying at the convent for awhile.

Over at the Astorga Mansion: Don Agustin & Dona Dolly, Franco & Clingy Erika are having dinner. Dona Dolly tells Franco that Daddy Elizalde had sent Redhead to Spain to study abroad 20+ years ago while they sent Clingy Erika over to Spain as well. Franco is intrigued at the story of the BFFs studying together in Spain.

Episode 107 will be posted sometime this afternoon, just be patient folks!

 

ECDLP #1

24 years earlier...

- Three sisters, Adriana, Rebeca and Magdalena live together in the house that belongs to Adriana and her husband, Alonso. Adriana is pregnant and Magdalena is preparing for her wedding to her fiancé, Ricardo. Rebeca rejects the advances of Mario Hernandez claiming she’s in love with another man.
- The man in question is Alonso. Magdalena has her suspicions about Rebeca being in love with Alonso and tries to tell Adriana but Adriana doesn’t believe her.
- Alonso owns a Talavera pottery manufacturing company. His friend and employee, Amador, presents him with the opportunity to travel to Brazil to make a business deal. Alonso is at first hesitant given it’s close to Adriana’s due date but ultimately agrees and selects his friend and mentor Nazario to accompany him. Amador is not happy and confides in his wife, Brigida, who is also Adriana’s friend.
- At Adriana’s urging Rebeca attempts to apologize to Magdalena but Magdalena is not convinced by her supposed sincerity even when Rebeca insists she’s in love with Mario Hernandez. Rebeca secretly admires a photo of Alonso.
- Rebeca visits Ricardo in his apartment to give him a “wedding gift”.
- Magdalena is nervous and worried as she prepares for the civil wedding ceremony with the church ceremony to follow.
- Rebeca makes sure that Mario plays the part as her boyfriend and date for the wedding.
- Ricardo has not arrived for the civil ceremony. Alonso can’t get ahold of him. Magdalena wants to check the hospitals.
- Someone arrives at the door with an envelope. Rebeca answers and hands it to Magdalena. It’s from Ricardo asking Magdalena to forgive him and that he can’t marry her. Magdalena is devastated.



 

"MEPS" Episode 107 (Part IX)
104.) Inside the living room of Casa Santorro (Las Animas HQ): more of the interrogation of Jackass #2 Camilo by Steve, Jr., about you guessed it: Lovely Norton.

105.) Franco still at the Astorga residence as Dolly (Clingy Erika's Mommy) gives more detail about how Clingy Erika & Redhead are inseparable as BFFs.

106.) Back at the Elizalde Mansion inside Redhead's room: Mooching Damian trying to seduce Redhead non-stop. DUDE PLEASE STOP IT: SHE'S NOT THAT INTO YOU!

107.) Back to the Steve, Jr., & Jackass #2 Camilo conversation about Jackass #2 Camilo's intentions with Lovely: Fast Forward.

108.) Now back to Mooching Damian & Redhead: Fast Foward!

109.) While Redhead runs to the bathroom to sob, Mooching Damian continues to NAG, NAG, NAG, NAG, NAG, NAG, NAG, NAG, NAG, NAG, NAG, NAG, NAG, NAG, NAG.

110.) In the meantime over at the Astorga's, Dolly telling Franco that Don Agustin always knew their daughter, Clingy Erika would marry well considering her previous relationship with Jackass #2 Camilo ended in epic DISASTER (y'all know: the black eye Jackass #2 Camilo gave her when she got all uppity).

111.) The conversation gets a little bit tense when Don Agustin asks more about Franco's background: Franco says he's graduated from college with an MBA back in the United States & is currently working as an executive with Power Milk.

112.) Over at the condominium crib: Martina & Venus/Lovely talking about Liliana & we still see the obvious that Martina is bummed out & horrified that she disappointed Franco for letting Liliana run off on her watch.

113.) More nagging between Steve, Jr., & Jackass #2 Camilo: Fast Forward.

114.) Over at the Astorga's: more pestering questions from Don Agustin putting Franco into a back corner. I think Franco's entire Body Language is telling all of us he wants to get out of there ASAP!

115.) Meanwhile Psycho Barbara reflecting on the day she gave birth in one of those flashbacks: where she passed out after giving birth; another of her reflections include her back-&-forth with Artemio: Psycho Barbara confident she gave to a baby girl, while Artemio says she gave birth to a son.

116.) Over at Bravo HQ: Artemio barking like an Army Drill Sergeant, tells a catatonic Liliana to eat something, but she calls him dad (UH-OH). She gets up & talks to Artemio as if he's her Daddy. He says he's NOT her father & tries unsuccessfully to stop her from touching him, but Liliana smiles & touches him anyway & we can see he's somewhat moved by Liliana's innocence.

 

ECDLP #1

Gracias, TF. This is a great series; I'm watching it again.

I love how the cast of "younger selves" of the main characters look so much like the mature actors who will take over in a few episodes.

Rebecca is evil almost on the level of Carlota of ENDA. She feeds off the misery of others. She is a total sociopath. Both created by the same female author.

Michelle Renaud's makeup is overdone, but she looked like she enjoe being evil for a change. A far cry from her character in QT.
 

QT #60 Part 1 of 4

Valeria got on the bus with Remi, who thought this was the best decision.

Leo refused to exhume his father's corpse but resentfully caved when Dalia told him a judge could order this and it would not look good when he was campaigning to be elected alcalde.

Artemio had a tantrum when ordered to submit to arrest. Luisa voiced his crimes against her. [Where did we see that dress before?] This was in front of an audience. [He should eventually realize that his tantrum did no good for his image.]

Padre G told Tito his mother was likely to be in Los Angeles. They need photo confirmation. Tito wanted to tell Val but neither he nor Matt were able to get her on the phone. Dalia called Matt saying it was urgent he come to te hacienda immediately.

Vicente chewed out Pepe over caving to Art, then left the office with the content of his desk.

Dalia explained the DNA test to Matt, who would not believe the possibility of Don Patricio being his sperm donor. Dr. Flavio Arellana was there to take the cheek swabs. Matt refused on the grounds that it was his wedding day. Dalia said he had to do it before Leo changed his mind.

Val had not answered her phone due to a weak signal. She checked her phone and then called Padre G. He told her about the progress in finding Tito's mother and she told him she was leaving for good. He was disappointed but left the door open for future contact. Call ended due to signal loss.

Eva and Berenice were prepping Sandy who had definitely looked happier (at least that stupid stray lock wasn't in her face). She complained of feeling fat. Eva put the veil on her an she got up, held up the dress, and went on about “Las Vegas, Miami, New York.” [In your dreams, brat.]
 

QT #60 Part 2 of 4

The swabs were taken from Leo and Matt. Dalia and Aaron were present. Dr Arellana said he would have the results soon. Sabina walked in on this and quickly figured out what this was all about. She raised the question of who Matt's mother was. Aaron told her to shut up. She said he could end up being lynched because he knew too many of Don Patricio's secrets. After she left the room Leo taunted Matt about what sort of woman his egg donor was. Matt grabbed his throat and told him off. Dalia was worried. Leo was still self-important upon release.

Carlo was only wearing a towel en route to his room. Eva scolded him has she took his pants to press them. She was suffering from hormonal resurrection. Chacho came in to tell her about Art's arrest.

Leo sat in his study, quietly berating Don Patricio for being a dick for possibly knowing Matt was his son and treating him like a peón. He tried pouring himself a drink and spilled it. He then said that if he and Matt were brothers that would not stop him from destroying him. He hit the desk and his blue delusion appeared, telling him that Matt needs nobody to defend him. “He became a man, not a mama's boy.” He continued to bait Leo, who began to cry, finally saying that he was proud that Matt will prove to be his son. “You will have to learn to share because anyone like me would want a son like Mateo.” A knock on the door brought Leo back to reality. Corina entered with a note Val left for him. He was so shocked he left the room in a daze.

Remi chattered on about the upcoming photo shoot, then noticed Val looked sad.
 

QT #60 Part 3 of 4

Tito was trying to make sense of Matt's situation. Finally Matt texted Val asking where she was. In spite of Remi's objection she blocked Matt. Juanito came in and told Matt she had left and he did not know where she was going. Meanwhile she was sad, hoping she had not hurt him.

Eva chewed out Basurto over the phone while Berenice hit Chacho's pecs over the arrestand Sandy had a tantrum about her wedding being ruined. Eva blamed Luisa for this while Chacho told Berenice he could not disobey Basurto. Sandy remembered the name of a lawyer they could call. Best chaos ever.

Magdalena cried about Val's departure, telling Esme and Camila Val was recovering her memory. She feared never seeing her again.

Berenice and Chacho argued some more, ending with her telling him to find somewhere else to live.

Art carried on in his cell, telling Basurto to let him out at least for Sandy's wedding. Basurto refused which led to Art insisting – of all things – that Luisa should be in the cell instead. He warned Art to calm down for the sake of his heart. Art clutched his chest and continued to rant as the Inspector walked away.

Sab called Carlo who declined her plus one invitation to Matt's wedding. She threw her phone against the wall. He called Esme who said she was not what he thought she was. Therefore – and to avoiod gossip – she would not go with him to the wedding. Camila rolled her eyes through this.

QT #60 Part 4 of 4

Leo made phone calls to locate the photo shoot.

Berenice and Eva tried to guilt Luisa into withdrawing the charges but she refused, even accusing them of supporting his abuse of her. Eva denied that he had ever hit her. Luisa said “Maybe he never hit you but what about the verbal abuse? The insults?” Eva turned her back; she looked embarrassed. Vicente was just outside and listening to Luisa's final words, which were a very assertive refusal.

Sab and Ange did not find Leo in the study so they asked Corina where he was. She told them he had left in a huff and not dressed for a wedding.

While Aaron showered Minnie searched his room and found the Swiss bank records. She photographed the pages, then looked for something else.

Remi and Val are in Valle del Bravo in a glass house.

Dalia caught Matt between shower and dressing. She thought it was a good thing that Val had left. Sandy then called to tell him about Art.
 

ECDLP #1

UA: I totally agree about the younger cast resemblance to the older/present day cast. This first episode is definitely jogging my memory. I think I remember most of what happens in the story, at least the main plot. Some of the subplots/smaller details I don’t know if I’ll remember haha

For me ECDLP remains the best TN I’ve watched in the last few years.
 

QT #60 Thanks, Urban.

Oh my. Sandy, Bere, and Eva prepping for ambitious Sandy’s wedding. And then the mess of no father to take her down the aisle. “Best chaos ever.” Absolutely true.

Although Matt doesn’t yet know the identity of his mother, he defended her with all his strength. Dangerous chokehold on Leo.

Corina didn’t just deliver the note, she hung around waiting to see what it said. Then she spread the news all over the hacienda.

Tito was giving his analysis of Matt’s marriage. Said Matt was selling his soul to the devil; he was marrying La Llorena. I suppose he’s heard enough of Sandy’s whining and crying to compare her to the mythical endlessly crying woman.

Bere says Chacho can’t see her any more. He points out this is hard when they live under the same roof. So he’ll just have to find somewhere else to live. Not really fair.

One would hope that Aaron might ask Minnie to leave his room while he showered. I kept hoping he would come out and find her in the act.
 

QT #60

What bothered me the most about Sandy and her family is their denial. She saw her father hit Luisa and seems to have no appreciation of how horrible this is. He had never hit Eva and Berenice didn't see this happen but she knows her father treats Luisa like garbage. Very bad family dynamics.

I think Chacho was only meant to be there temporarily at the outset, but it would be difficult for both of them to be there.

As for Art's current indisposition, who thinks that will cancel the wedding?
 

ECDLP #2

- Magdalena runs up the stairs after reading the note from Ricardo.
- Alonso announces to the guests that the wedding is off.
- Rebeca checks on Magdalena and Magdalena accuses her of knowing that Ricardo was going to stand her up.
- Alonso plans to find and confront Ricardo.
- Adriana is sad for Magdalena. Rebeca offers to go and cancel the church service. Mario notes that Rebeca doesn’t seem upset about what her sister is going through.
- Nazario and his wife Trini discuss what happened. They both feel guilty about not expressing their concerns about Magdalena and Ricardo’s relationship.
- Magdalena wants to find Ricardo and ask for an explanation. Adriana listens as Magdalena vents.
- Alonso finds Ricardo’s apartment empty. Rebeca arrives at the church to relay the news to awaiting guests.
- Alonso learns that Ricardo no longer works at the company he claimed to.
- Rebeca goes to see Ricardo at a hotel. He was waiting for her. They kiss. Ricardo inquires as to when he and Rebeca can wed. Rebeca wants to wait until Magdalena moves on from him. Rebeca suggests that Ricardo leave Puebla.
- Rebeca leaves and runs into Nazario and Trini. She fibs saying she went to find some friends of Ricardo to ask if they knew of his whereabouts. Nazario doesn’t believe her story.
- Alonso tells Magdalena that she deserves an explanation from Ricardo but she isn’t sure it’s worth it. She’s happy that Adriana found a good man in Alonso.
- Clara, one of the maids, asks Alonso permission to leave for the day after getting a mysterious phone call.
- Ricardo swaps a photo of Magdalena in a frame for a photo of Rebeca.
- Adriana tells Rebeca that she should be more supportive and comforting towards Magdalena
- Clara meets with her boyfriend Ruperto. He wants a loan fo start a business but she says she doesn’t have any savings. He clarifies that wants her to ask her boss for a loan. Clara spots Ricardo coming out of the hotel.
- Magdalena is at the church and remembers the last time she talked to Ricardo expressing her fears and anxiety about losing him. The priest offers to listen to her and help her
- Rebeca messes around in the nursery. Adriana walks in and apologizes to Rebeca for scolding her. Rebeca says she doesn’t think her relationship with Mario will last. Adriana asks if Rebeca knows where Magdalena is. She is worried that Magdalena will do something drastic.
- Amador assures Alonso he will take care of things at the company while Alonso is gone.
- Mario visits Alonso to talk about his relationship with Rebeca. He tells Alonso that he went with Rebeca to the church but that’s it.
- Magdalena informs Adriana that she’s going to the city to spend time in a convent but not to become a nun. She doesn’t have anything there in Puebla to make her stay.
- Brigida visits with Adriana. She wants to talk to Adriana about Alonso going to Brazil and not taking Amador. Adriana cuts the conversation short.
- Nazario prepares some of the pottery to take to Brazil as sample pieces. Amador wonders why. His jealousy shows.
- Adriana expresses to Trini that she doesn’t agree with Magdalena’s decision. Trini advises her not to worry about Magdalena especially because she’s about to have a baby. Adriana asks Trini if she and Nazario will be her baby’s godparents. Trini asks if Adriana has picked out a name. Adriana says “Alonso” if it’s a boy and “Lucia” if it’s a girl.
- Ricardo calls the Gaxiola household for Rebeca. Both Rebeca and Magdalena answer at the same time. He hangs up when he realizes Magdalena recognizes his voice.
 

"MEPS" Episode 108:

Quererlo Todo Friday April 2, 2021
QT # 61
The two main events in this episode are the wedding of Sandy and Matt and Valeria’s escape from La Noria.

QT #61 Part 1/3
One event, before the ceremony, involves Minnie’s manipulations. She uses the stolen bank paper to call the Swiss account, posing as Esme and claiming a lost token (password?). She persuades them to make a fund transfer.

Sandy and her family are gathered near the gazebo in the town square. Sandy is agitated that a video was posted telling the townspeople to boycott the wedding. Matt arrives with the family members, looking good in a cream suit with aqua tie and slicked back hair. Other guests are far and few between.

The procession to the gazebo begins without Artemio. Sandy is wearing a run of the mill strapless gown with aqua touches. However, she is sporting a very nice makeup job. She and Matt ascend the steps of the gazebo to face the unfamiliar priest. He starts the service and we hear him recite the vows, which Sandy promptly accepts.

When he asks Matt, there is an excruciating pause. Matt turns his head and sees an image of Val behind the crowd. When he looks again, no one is in that spot. He finally says “accepto.” The priest pronounces them man and wife. (There is scatted wailing and gnashing of teeth in Viewerville.)

Meanwhile, in the photo shoot location, Val is drying her hair from a shower. Leo shows up at her room door. He begs her to forgive him, not leave him, and start over again. Val expresses doubts. Leo will be a lost soul without her. (Isn’t he a lost soul anyway?) Val asks him not to pressure her. He will hang around, just in case, and how about dinner? No, Val needs to rest for the next day.
 

QT #61 Part 2/3
The newlyweds greet their guests. The Governor’s lawyer/rep felicitates them and wants to know where is Art? Sandy says he’s in jail. The lawyer will resolve this.

The festivities go downhill. Bere tells Sandy the food service cancelled their contract, so no food. She will go to find something to feed people. Some young girls are taking photos and laughing at Sandy. She turns away to thank everyone for coming. Eva and Dalia both propose toasts, which Sandy cuts short.

Sandy tells Matt this is the worst day of her life. He tries to reassure her, telling her he will be strong for her and their child. He’ll love them and not fail them—he swore before God to devote his life to them. (Tears run down my face at the futility of his good intentions.) Just to remind us, the pet teacher/doctor of Sandy’s is with the wedding guests; he’s the target of her smile.

A couple of cameo conversations among the guests: Basurto sits with Mag and they discuss his alienated wife and her lost child. Juanito flirts a little with Cami, while his buddies and a sour-faced Servendo look on from a nearby table. Sabina joins Carlos and attempts to flirt with him.

 

QT #61 Part 3/3

The Governor’s lawyer tells Sandy she has to go with him to the jail. Chacho is bringing food to Art, who throws it back at him and tells him to get out! He collapses on the floor, but seems to be better when he and Eva, Bere, and Sandy meet with the judge. The judge hears Sandy’s story of Luisa hitting her face on some furniture. He has some doubts, but tell the ladies and lawyer that he will release Art. He gives a stern warning for Art to be careful about his treatment of Luisa.

After the bride was taken away, the groom is also called for duty elsewhere. Padre G says he cannot find Tito and needs Matt’s help. The woman on the live chat was not Tito’s mother. Although the social worker promised to keep looking, Tito was very upset and ran away. Matt goes to the church, where crying sounds lead him to the corner where Tito is crouched down. Matt comforts him.

Tito is also the target of Val’s concern. She and Remi are chatting on her bed, discussing Leo’s annoying moves. She wants to return to La Noria, to Tito and the horses. If they don’t find Tito’s mother, she’ll adopt him. Remi is excited at the thought of being an uncle.

Remi goes outside, where Leo approaches him, claiming they should make peace. But, Remi shouldn’t tell Val about her mother. Remi refuses and Leo threatens him—if Remi’s not quiet, Leo will shut him up permanently!

As the wedding guests relax, the estate lawyer and Dalia socialize and toast one another. They also discuss their families. Dalia praises Sandy as a daughter who will make her the happiest abuela ever!

 

"MEPS" Episode 108 (Part X):
117.) Inside the Elizalde Mansion: we see Santiago demanding Psycho Barbara tell him where did Aurora go. Redhead gives her EVIL StepMommy the Perry Mason stare.

118.) Over at the Astorga's: Eduardo/Franco & Clingy Erika talking.

119.) Jacinto & Mags house: Jacinto, Mags & Nagging Gardenia eating dinner.

120.) Nagging Gardenia nags & nags which annoys Jacinto.

121.) Now back to the Astorga's with Franco & Clingy Erika once again.

122.) Clingy Erika gripping Franco's hand & hugging him tightly.

123.) We're back to Jacinto & Mags' crib.

124.) Nagging Gardenia returns to the dinner table once again & we see Mags & Jacinto discussing about having kids down the road.

125.) In the meantime at the Elizalde Mansion: Daddy Elizalde stressed out about the "extortion" by Dr. Obregon regarding Liliana's whereabouts.

126.) Casa Santorro: Franco finally returns home.

127.) Over at the penthouse: Jackass #2 Camilo still putting the moves on Venus/Lovely.

128.) Casa Santorro: Eduardo/Franco nagging at Steve, Jr., once again.

129.) Mooching Damian pulls off an Oscar award winning performance of pretending to be drunk.
 

ECDLP #2

Adriana definitely knows that Rebecca is profoundly disturbed. I'd love to know what made her this way, but I don't recall that we ever found out. The problem here is that Adriana has too much on her plate to deal effectively with her. I also wonder whether ther parents' will forbids her from throwing her out of the mansion.

Ricardo was a serious jerk even without cheating on Magdalena with her own sister. That's about as low as it gets. Magda's emotional state looks to me like Rebecca has worn her down ever since their parents died.

My only issue here is that Adriana should have been cast differently. Ariadne Diaz doesn't look older enough to have been left with the responsibility for her sisters.
 

"MEPS" Episode 108 (Part XI):
130.) Redhead & Santiago put Mooching Damian back into Redhead's room when Priscila shows up.

131.) Once Redhead & Santiago leave, we see Mooching Damian laughing about faking the drunk act while Priscila is annoyed with him, demanding he help her get Creepy Vlad off her back.

132.) Speaking of Creepy Vlad: he's balling like a baby holding some teddy bear inside his crappy apartment.

133.) Back to Jackass #2 Camilo & Venus/Lovely, who seduces him & they have a short makeout session.

134.) Noticing the large giant lobsters on the table LOL.

135.) Casa Santorro: Steve, Jr., using mixture of English & Spanish while Eduardo/Franco continues to nag, nag, nag.

136.) More of Jackass #2 Camilo & Venus/Lovely.

137.) Elizalde Mansion: Daddy Elizalde, Psycho Barbara, Jackass #1 Anibal, Priscila, Redhead, Santiago in the living room while Franco showed up to assist in stopping the extortion plot by Dr. Obregon.

138.) Bravo HQ: Artemio scheming & plotting while Liliana is sleeping inside one of the bedrooms.

139.) Episode 108 of "MEPS" is interrupted by breaking news alerts on Univision.

140.) Venus & Martina riding in the taxi, where Venus talked about her encounter with Jackass #2 Camilo. We can see Martina is NOT thrilled about Jackass #2 Camilo for obvious reasons.

141.) Somewhere in the outskirts of Mexico City, Venus & Martina eating some food. BFFs FOREVER!

142.) Back at the Elizalde Mansion: Jackass #1 Anibal nags at Jackass #2 Camilo for putting the Elizalde family's name & Grupo Lactos at risk because of his dalliance with Lovely.

He brings Jackass #2 Camilo over to the living room & informs Franco & everyone else about the situation.

So the wedding happened. At least we had the satisfaction of Sandy's misery at the paucity of guests and the cancellation of the catering. The brat deserved worse.

You gotta love Remi for his enthusiasm and his protectiveness of Valeria. I can see him staying there at the end and becoming their major domo if Mateo inherits and marries Val. He is already helping Padre G with the kids fed by the church and he is a do-gooder.

Matt is very likely to divorce Sandy after catching her cheating on him or a DNA test shows he isn't the father of her baby (assuming she is actually pregnant, which we should find out about soon).

I do see Val adopting Tito with or without being married to Matt. Can't wait to see the kid's face when he meets his new abuela.

Leo is a lost soul. He never had proper parenting and -- although we haven't gotten any explanation -- his career will be over without Val. By the rules of this story the two killings and his embezzling of Val's income will be discovered and punished. I doubt that Minnie will care except for her loss of his possible inheritance.

P.S. Now that they have el divorcio in telenovelas, there are fewer derailed weddings, more's the pity. A galan sweeping in on a horse and snatching up the bride is a whole lot more fun than having papers delivered months later by a hapless messenger.

You must be thinking of Ramona from 2000 with Kate del Castillo and the great Eduardo Palomo. I remember that scene very well!

I also remember that birthmarks and near-cloned appearances were how parentage was identified before the days of DNA, as in the 1991 Yo Compro Esa Mujer and the 1993 Corazon Salvage. Eduardo Yanez and Eduardo Palomo played both father and son in these titles.

Time for new things.

I did notice that Uriel was present at the rather grim wedding on Friday. Could he be Sandy's downfall? I'm fairly sure also we will not see her having morning sickness or actually fainting despite having had at least two rounds of unprotected sex with Leo and possibly Uriel at least once. The limited number of sex scenes in this series has to be blamed on Covid.
 

ECDLP #3

- Magdalena questions Rebeca why Ricardo was asking for her. Rebeca claims it was Mario - her boyfriend. Adriana and Trini break up their argument.
- Adriana and Magdalena talk outside. Adriana thinks maybe Magdalena is very emotional and heard wrong. She thinks Magdalena going to the retreat is a good idea.
- Alonso tells Nazario that he’s worried about leaving Adriana and doesn’t think Rebeca is a good support for her. He tells Naz about the Mario situation.
- Adriana attempts to talk to Rebeca. Rebeca accuses Adriana of not believing her. She tells Rebeca that Magdalena is leaving. Rebeca pretends to be happy about the impending arrival of the baby.
- Clara asks Adriana about loaning her money. Adriana doesn’t think it’s a good time because Alonso is leaving the country. Clara tells Adriana that she saw Ricardo in the plaza. Adriana agrees that Magdalena shouldn’t know about that.
- Nazario and Trini discuss their run in with Rebeca.
- Rebeca scolds Ricardo for calling the house. She tells him it’s over between them. She accuses him of being interested in her for her social status. She would never marry him. Ricardo warns her that he could tell Magdalena, Adriana and Alonso everything. Rebeca counters that she’d accuse him of abusing her.
- Magdalena tells Adriana that she’s leaving right now. She doesn’t want to stay another day. She will take the bus to the city. She says bye to Alonso.
- Clara meets with Ruperto. She tells him they will have to wait for the money. He doesn’t want to wait. He claims he wants to marry her.
- Alonso and Adriana discuss Magdalena’s decision. She’s worried she’ll never see Magdalena again. Alonso wants to cancel his trip but Adriana tells him not to worry.
- Ricardo and Amador have a run in. They agree to meet up later at another location.
- Clara sneaks into Rebeca’s room. She finds a box with items of Alonso’s that were missing. Adriana comes in at that moment. She remembers Magdalena’s words about Rebeca being in love with Alonso.
- Rebeca asks Alonso if he’s leaving on a trip and when. She’s sad. He asks her to look after Adriana since Magdalena is gone. He tells her that Mario went to see him. He asks her where she was after Mario left and she says she went to look for Ricardo but didn’t want to tell anyone. She says that his lack of trust in her hurts her.
- Rebeca goes up to her room and Adriana confronts her about the box of Alonso’s things. Rebeca dares her to tell Alonso about it. She doesn’t.
- Alonso and Nazario leave for the airport. Alonso is still worried about leaving. He doesn’t think it’s fair how everyone, himself included, treats Rebeca.
- Amador lies to Brigida about going into the office late at night.
- Rebeca gives the box back to Adriana. She doesn’t want Adriana to doubt her. Rebeca accuses Clara of putting Alonso’s things in her room but Adriana doesn’t take the bait.
- Amador asks Ricardo why he stood up Magdalena at the altar (Amador introduced Ricardo and Magdalena). Ricardo tells him for another woman but doesn’t say her name. Both Amador and Ricardo have something that Alonso could ruin them for if he found out.
- With a cross that Adriana gave him, Alonso is confident everything will be okay.
- Amador tells Brigida about his friendship with Ricardo and how they used to work together and Ricardo committed fraud at their old company.
- Adriana and Trini discuss Rebeca and her behavior.
- Ricardo prepares to leave the hotel.
- Rebeca confronts Clara about being in her bedroom.
- Trini and Adriana inquire about Ricardo being in the hotel but he’s not on the list of current guests. They separate and Adriana sees Ricardo coming down the stairs of the hotel and confronts him. He tells her he left Magdalena for Rebeca. Adriana starts have contractions.

UA, I laughed out loud at "Leo was still self-important upon release" and again at "Berenice hit Chacho's pecs over the arrest." This tn is doing a good job mixing comedy and drama/melodrama. That scene in the pension living room with all the women screaming was indeed over-the-top chaotic.

ITA, La Paloma, about Sandy's makeup -- she looked stunning (although she did have a loose tendril or two by the end of the afternoon.) I liked her dress, too. The little flowers embroidered on the front were a nice touch.

So Basurto's wife finally appears! I was beginning to doubt she existed...although you can certainly see why he never takes her anywhere.

It was the band, not the food, that failed to appear. Bere ran out and rounded up some random DJ. I believe they were originally supposed to have live music.

Loved the scene with all the other prisoners trying to grab Chacho's plate of taquitos through the bars. Couldn't he have passed them around? It's not like anyone else was going to want them, after they'd been on the floor.

When Leo showed up at Val's mountaintop hideaway, there was a DOG IN A COAT walking through the scene behind him. I guess the crew didn't take the chickens with them to the alternate filming location.
