ACUERDAS, Ep. 41: The Light of Hope Flickers: Part 1
All of us get broken in some way, but what matters is how we get back up and put the pieces back together, -Author Unknown

We get a repeat of Pedro’s visit with Vera. After he tells het that there can be nothing between them, Vera agrees that there can be nothing between them since what they had started with a lie. Pedro retorts that she is trapped in her own web of lies; if she would tell who sent her the message. she would not be there! Vera argues that she cannot say anything, but the truth will come out soon. Pedro wonders if she expects him to believe her blindly. When Vera insists that she is there because of her mother’s death…she will not stop until she has justice, Pedro retorts. “At what cost? …Nico is the one that is suffering the most! Don’t you see that?!” Vera doesn’t respond; she just calls the guard and leaves.

Pedro is reading Nico the story of Pinocchio. As they talk about Pinocchio not having a father, Nico remarks hat he has a mother…but he would like to have a mother and a father. After Pedro promises that he will always be with him, Nico inquires about Pedro’s father, so Pedro explains that he had two fathers. Nico then expresses that he wants to see his mother; he doesn’t want her to go to heaven. Pedro assures him that his mother is fine and he will see her soon.

At Fausto’s hideout, Octavio asks the firemen if they saw anyone…in the basement. When they tell him that they didn’t go to the basement, Octavio runs in.

Ivana is in bed looking a picture where she and Olmo are together. She tells Olmo that he has to return to her.

Octavio runs down to the basement where the flames burn fiercely. He finds Olmo and drags him out.

Faby is talking to Eddy on the phone and tells him that she hopes her uncle is well. Eddy slips that he hopes that she got the message in time, but quickly covers himself. When Faby expresses that she fears that the kidnappers will come after the family, Eddy promises her that nothing will happen to her because he will protect her
The next morning, Faby is fast asleep when Ivana comes in. She sees the tattoo and scolds Faby since tattoos are only for criminals. Ivana assumes that the it was the “naco’s” idea.

Gaston tells Melida that she needs to apologize to Delia who is like his mother, Melida comments that if Delia were his mother then Laiza would be his sister…and he shouldn’t be looking up her skirts. Gas chides her because she is doing everything because of Laiza and assures her that she will not destroy what he has with Laiza…she is only there because of the baby!

Tadeo and Fausto hide in a one-star hotel. They brainstorm to figure out who could have ratted them out. Fausto doesn’t think it was Eddy or Jass, but thinks it was probably Julio since he was insisting on seeing him.

Julio finalizes the transfer of the shares to his name. Lola is afraid that Fausto will retaliate, but Julio doesn’t think Fausto will hurt him since he has all those shares.

ACUERDAS, Ep. 41: The Light of Hope Flickers: Part 2

Olmo is put in an ambulance and taken to the hospital. Afterwards, Octavio calls Pedro to tell him that they found Olmo, but he is in bad shape…and on the way to the hospital

Pedro tells the family about Olmo and they all go to the hospital. Once there, Octavio tells them that Olmo is alive, but he took in a lot of smoke and has several injuries. Ivana and Alberto want to take him to a better hospital, but Roach tells them that Olmo can’t be moved until he is stabilized. Alberto then asks how they found Olmo; so Octavio explains how Faby got a message. They tried to trace the phone but were unsuccessful. When Roach tells them that Olmo was found in a house close to their own home, Ivana wants the address, but Octavio quickly tells them that the information is confidential.

Yoli enters Vera’s cell and threatens to slash her face again Vera quickly calls the guard who cones in and takes Yoli out (did we really need to see this?). Vera prays to her mother to help her.

Jass arrives at the hideout. When he denies knowing anything, the cops tell him that he needs to leave.

The doctor meets with the family and gives them an update on Olmo’s condition. He tells them that one of Olmo’s legs was severely infected due to a gunshot wound and they had to amputate it.

Octavio goes to see Julio and tells him that they found Olmo. Now that they found him, Oct hopes that Julio will now talk…because even though they found the victim, Vera continues to be a suspect. Julio refuses to talk; so Octavio tells him that if Julio ever wants to talk, even as a friend, to call him.

Fausto sees a news report--Gaston holds a press conference to announce that his father was found. At Laiza’s apartment, Delia and Laiza also watch; and Delia is elated that her prayers were answered. Laiza is not as excited since the family didn’t bother to let them know.

At the prison, Candida rushes in to get Vera so that she can see the press conference. Vera hopes that now that Olmo has been found, she will soon be out. The news report also includes a brief clip of Fausto’s house burning.

Emiia is in a panic because she thinks the cops will soon be there to interrogate them. Jass yells that nothing will happen since the cops haven’t connected them to the kidnapping…and they won’t find anything. When she wonders if Fausto died, Jass simply shrugs.

Delia goes to the hospital to see her friend. Ivana overhears and scoffs at the idea that she calls Olmo her friend and assures Delia that she will not see Olmo. Delia refuses to argue with her at the hospital but insists that she WILL see Olmo!

At the psych hospital. Andres wonders why Marina lied to her husband. Marina responds that she cannot live without Pedro. Now that she knows he loves another woman, she will fight to keep him! Marina is surprised that she was able to express herself in such away and admits that she can only be sincere with Andres. Andres thinks that she does have the strength to be without Pedro…she doesn’t need anyone to be the incredible woman that she is….much less a man who doesn’t love her. Marina, however, insists that she will not lose her husband..

ACUERDAS, Ep. 41: The Light of Hope Flickers: Part 3

Nico runs to Pedro and reproaches him for leaving him alone. Pedro then tells him that he had to leave because he had to see Olmo at the hospital. Nico wonders if Pedro could be a pretend father to him, Pedro assures him that he can be more…he can be like a real father.

Lucia meets with Vera and bursts her bubble. Olmo is critically ill and, if he doesn’t make it, Vera will be charged with homicide.

Pedro tells Nico that he found the best babysitter for him…Lola!!! After Nico leaves to get his teddy bear, Loa and Pedro talk about the possibility of Vera being released.

Pedro is at the psych hospital talking to Lucia on the phone. He doesn’t understand why Vera can’t be released, so Lucia explains that though Vera was not involved in the burning of the house, she continues to be suspected of being an accomplice. Marina approaches and tells him that she missed him. She ignores that he doesn’t reciprocate and asks what he is thinking about. When he tells her, “Nothing”, Marina is sure that he is thinking about her…as always.

Ivana scolds the staff because they allowed Nico to leave. After they tell her that Pedro let Nico go with Lola, Ivana continues to yell at them until she dismisses them. Faby is listening and is aghast at how Ivana treated the staff. After Faby leaves, Ivana maliciously tells Melida that she will now talk to the judge so that Vera and Nico can live happily…in prison!

At the restaurant, Laiza tells Gabriel that she is now sure that she wants to be with him. She confesses that for many years she was in love with Gas, but now realizes that it was just a fantasy. Gabriel wants the same thing, but he wants her to be sure.

Melida once again boohoos to Ivana about how Gas treats her. Ivana tells her that it’s her own fault…and Ivana doesn’t have time to be a love counselor (nor does she have the skills or knowledge) and only has one piece of advice--Melida needs to stand and not look back. When Melida asks if Ivana has thought about what would happen if Olmo dies, Ivana hisses that she shouldn’t even think that!

Nico and Lola are at the park. Nico wants to go spend the night with Lola. After Lola assures him that his mother will soon return, Nico adds that Delia left and Pedro isn’t always with him, so he is alone most of the time. .and he doesn’t like Ivana very much (smart kid!). Nico then tells Lola that he asked Pedro to be his pretend father.

At he psych hospital, Marina asks Pedro about her father. Pedro tells her that Olmo is in the hospital. When Marina tells him that there are things that still aren’t very clear, Pedro asks if she remembers anything about their relationship. Marina tells him that they were closer than ever. She then asks about Vera, so Pedro tells her that Vera is prison because she is accused of Olmo’s kidnapping. Marina then tells him that everything is very difficult but the good thing is that she has a husband who loves her so much. (and viewerville asks, “Where? Who?”)

Julio goes to see Lola and tells her that the cops are probably tracking their phones. Octavio keeps questioning him…and Octavio knows that he has more information…but Julio just doesn’t trust Oct.

At the hospital, Alberto is alone is Olmos room. He tells an unconscious Olmo that he taught him so many things…Olmo also taught him how to identify obstacles. Alberto thinks that Olmo is now his obstacle…and Olmo is old and injured; so it is time that Olmo should be out of the way. Alberto unplugs the machines and tells Olmo to die! After Alberto walks out, the machines start beeping; and Ivana, who is out in the hallway, hears the beeping machines . She quickly runs in and calls for the nurses.

ACUERDAS, Ep. 41: The Light of Hope Flickers: Part 4

Octavio questions Faby about the message she got. Faby doesn’t know who sent it; so Octavio asks her to tell him as soon as she gets another message. He thinks it is odd that the message went to Faby and asks her to tell him everything she did that day.

Ivana sits crying beside Olmo crying. She lies on his chest and tells him that he needs to fight…she loves him!! (And where’s Alberto?)

Gas goes to visit Marina. Marina asks him if there is something between Vera and Pedro. When Gas advises that that she should get on with her life and stay away from Pedro, Marina insists that he tell her what he knows. Gas admits that he had his suspicions. but he has never seen Pedro and Vera together. Marina then makes Gas promise that he will not tell Pedro that she remembers that they are no longer together.

Ivana is still with Olmo crying a and laying on his chest. When she hears the door open, she quickly straightens up and leaves when Pedro asks to be alone with his father. Pedro tells Olmo that they all hope he gets well…including Marina who can’t come see him, but Marina loves him and misses him. Pedro also wants Olmo to return because there are many things from his past that he wants to be explained.

Ivana approaches and sees Octavio with Faby. She has a hissy fit and tells him that she doesn’t want him talking to Faby without her permission!

Lola, Gonzo and Teo discuss Vera’s situation. Gonzo informs them that if Olmo dies, Vera will be charged with murder.

Julio goes to see Octavio at his office. He asks Octavio if he has ever heard of Fausto Galicia. (Oh oh! But Yay!)

Faby is talking to Eddy on the phone and telling him about talking with Octavio and her mother interrupting. On cue, Ivana storms in and asks who she is talking to!

At the prison, Pedro takes Nico to see Vera. He watches as Vera sheds tears of joy at seeing Nico while she hugs him telling him that she missed him…and that he is everything to her. She then turns to Pedro and thanks him. Pedro stands as he watches them and smiles, pleased that he has brought mother and child together.

ACUERDAS

Thanks, RgvChick, for another outstanding recap.

So, in this capítulo, old Olmo couldn’t catch a break ending up with losing part of a leg;Alberto trying to kill him; and then having Ivana laying on his chest which could have resulted in one dead Olmo, too, considering his weakened state. She could have cut off his breathing!!! Then there was Fausto stumbling and moaning around. Ivana should have suspected Alberto did something to Olmo. She seems to see everything at the mansion, so why she wouldn’t have seen Alberto leave right before her eyes, then see that Olmo was in distress because of his machine having been turned off, is a little hard to believe. Who would have turned it off? A leprechaun? Seriously . . . When you think about it, Olmo and Fausto are both pretty pathetic villains at the end of the line at this time.

Vera needs to get out of the big house before something happens to her that can’t be fixed.
Doesn’t anyone ever lock the jail cells? It looks like Yoli just waltzed into Vera’s cell. What’s up with that?

It was good to see Pedro with Nico.

"ACUERDAS":

RGV Chick: 43 more episodes left in this chaotic mess. Wake me up when they release Vera from prison.

ACUERDAS
RgvChick, simply outstanding. Loved the title and the quote could not have been more fitting.

I laughed at “Tadeo and Fausto hide in a one-star hotel” a perfect line of levity.

“Lucia meets with Vera and bursts her bubble”. Indeed! Lucia does not seem to be a harbinger of very good news does she?

“Julio goes to see Octavio at his office. He asks Octavio if he has ever heard of Fausto Galicia. (Oh oh! But Yay!)” was a pivotal moment. These two need to join forces especially as Fausto already suspects Julio for betraying him.

Interesting that Alberto now sees Olmo as expendable. He does not realize his limitations and that he is a second tier villain at best. I wonder what Ivana would have done if she had seen him disconnect the equipment?

Jarifa, it certainly was Olmo’s Very Bad Day. It appears as though Olmo and Fausto are both being felled by their fragility. Fausto’s pain seems to be escalating and his heath deteriorating. It will be interesting to see how Olmo’s mental toughness has been affected by his trials.

I like Delia but is she really blind to who and what Olmo is?? I have to believe so as Laiza believes the same fairy tale.

Speaking of, is Melida going to mewl every time she sees or hears about Laiza? And why do I think Laiza wants to move on with her life but Gaston will keep pulling her back in.

Our little Marina is playing a dangerous game. She like her father thinks she can bend other’s wills to do what she demands. She never learned it is not always possible to get one’s way.

Eddie and Faby light up the screen and make us continue to believe that there will be a way.

Vera is not going to be able to hold out much longer. She is under constant threat and is incapable of defending herself. At least Pedro brought Nico to see her.
Wonderful RgvChick. Thank you!

Diana

ACUERDAS

Diana,

As for Delia, I think she just sees Olmo as someone who has been good to her and refuses to have her loyalty affected by anything else.

Now for Marina, I think you hit it on the head with her thinking she is always going to get her way because she always has until the baby debacle.

I feel sorry for our low energy galán.

ACUERDAS

Jarifa, I'm not sure blind loyalty is a good thing, but Delia is certainly stalwart. I fear she is in for a huge letdown once it is revealed who Olmo really is.

"Low energy galan" - bullseye! 😊

Sorry my recap will be a little later than usual today. Will get it to you as soon as I can.

OT. Woo hoo! Looks as if Disenando el Amor is starting on April 26. No more weird Rosa de Guadalupe stories (with apologies to those who like that program, and I do prefer it to Exatlon and dating shows, which are evidently the other possibilities at 7 Central). :)

Embajador

Looking forward to your recap dondi.

Finally...Nare asked her dad what the patio has been thinking..."are you really that stupid" regarding his alliance and belief in Akin. Really...he can't be that stupid...but his conversation with Akin later proved...yep....he really is that stupid....good grief. He was never going to be any real help to Nare anyway...hopefully she write's him off and never expects anything from him so she wont ever feel let down by him again.

Just when I had hope they wouldn't drag out Nare telling Muge about Akin...they did it. Que lastima. I wanted to get that part over with but it has been delayed so Muge doesn't know about Akin. So she went running right to him to save him. So she is the unwittingly mole I guess. That's how he's stayed a step ahead of Nare and Sancar over the years.

The homecoming for father and daughter was too cute...but Sancar didn't like the greeting between Nare and Gediz. Too funny when he gave Gediz the evil eye when he was sitting too close to Nare.

Halise was so guilty...she didnt event let Sancar tell her what was bothering him before she started blaming Necet.....doesn't she know she only incriminated herself.

Thank you, Diana and Jarifa! I just got back from a very LO-O-ONG visit at the dentist's office and haven't had much time for anything....but I did catch "low enery galán" Good one, Jarifa!!

Span Prof, thanks for the info.

Embajador #25 part 1

I had a computer glitch and lost half of my recap!

This episode belongs to Neslihan.

Halise forced me to do it, Necdet says. A disorienting shock for Sancar and he walks away from Necdet. (Nice tilting of the camera for effect). Gediz grabs Necdet, how dare you slander her, Mrs. Halise wouldn’t do that. Necdet explains that Halise came to his house and offered gold to take Nare to a distant place and scare her. She ordered me, what could I do, he says. It doesn’t take long for Sancar explode and he beats the crap out of Necdet. Once he gets that out of his system, he goes out into the yard. The inmates file back into the cell and Gediz goes out.

Sancar tells Gediz, I need to breathe. Why did you beat him, Gediz asks, what if he is lying? If your own mother betrays you who can you trust, Sancar tearfully asks? Kemal comes in to bring Sancar and Gediz to the director’s office. Gediz thinks it’s because Sancar beat Necdet.

Nare shows up at Guven’s house, bangs on the door and shouts for Akin. She grabs Akin by the collar and pushes him back into the room as soon as he opens the door. You scared my daughter you bastard, she shouts. Guven pulls her off—calm down. He scared my daughter, let go of me! Guven asks why she’s yelling.

Akin tells Guven, Nare is smart, she knows yelling is not the solution. These words will make you reconsider, preciosa. Will you marry me? I will never marry you, she asserts, do you hear? And you won’t marry Muge either. Akin laughs this off. Nare continues, aren’t the lives you already destroyed enough for you? What do you want from Muge? Guven asks, who is Muge? Nare responds, she is one of the best people that I have known; I consider her as a sister. She is a good woman from a good family and this bastard is using Muge to get to me.

Akin huffs. Nare lays it out, Muge filled you in on everything, right? She told you Sancar was coming to Montenegro and that’s why someone answered my cell phone. Muge also told you Sancar and Gediz stole the money. She was telling these secrets to the man she loved. Akin reminds Nare he would endure anything just to be with her. Imagine all I had to do to get that information. Believe me, those romantic moments with Muge were more painful than being stabbed. I did it all for you, Nare, understand?

Nare understands him but then she turns to her father and says, I can’t understand you, dad. How can you believe him? He’s hidden everything he planned even from you! How can you believe him? Did you really think he wouldn’t stab you in the back?

Nare is on a roll. Dad, did you know that Sancar never gave money to Tibor? Guven is still in denial. I’m sure Sancar did it because he hates me, he says. Nare asks, how could Sancar have found out about your debt with Tibor? Have you thought about that? (Akin looks concerned, his deeds are being revealed.) Nare continues, Sancar gave you money, took his daughter and we returned to Turkey immediately. Sancar wants nothing to do with you. The only man you have business with is this bastard. She looks at Akin.

You trust him so much, you don’t even notice, she says. She asks, were you always this stupid or did you become so over time? You have been manipulated by Akin since he was a child.

Guven has heard enough. He is not feeling well and Akin goes to him. Nare’s not done yet. If you had a little respect for yourself, you would leave this prison, she tells Guven. You didn’t believe me but at least believe in yourself. Have a little faith in yourself. With that, Nare walks out. Akin follows her outside.

Embajador #25 part 2

Akin asks, what are you trying to do? Nare turns and grabs him by the throat! I’m playing your game, Akin! My father’s biggest weakness is not gambling, it’s his pride. Until everyone sees who you are, I will play and won’t stop. Do you know what I’m going to do now? I’m going to tell Muge you raped me when I was a teenager. Are you ready, Akin? Let’s see who the best player is. I’ll finish you.

Nare returns home to find Muge playing with Melek. Do you have a moment to talk, she asks. Muge has a patient in half hour if that’s enough time. Refika takes Melek to the kitchen to make a cake. Nare and Muge go up to the bedroom Nare starts slowly, last night you told me that when I wanted …. I’ll help you whenever you want, Muge says. They sit.

Where would you like to start, Muge asks. Remember when I turned 18? Yes, how could I forget your special day, Muge says. Nare replies, I will never forget that day or what happened on that day. What happened, Muge asks, looking concerned. Nare hesitates for a second….I was raped. Muge takes a breath and looks around as if for something to say.
Nare, I…. Nare interrupts, I know you are very sorry and you don’t know what to say. She tells Muge, I’ve been to therapy and I got used to seeing that reaction.

Muge is thrown by this revelation. How did you feel after that, Muge asks? Nare begins, when you trust a person a lot, you tell him your secrets, you feel you can trust him with anything, you think he’s the best, but then he commits the worst atrocity. You wonder how you did not see that person was evil. You wonder how you could have trusted him for so many years. You hate everything you went through but more than anything, you hate yourself for valuing that person. You blame yourself.

And did you do that, Muge asks? Yes, but I should have never blamed myself. We cannot blame ourselves for trusting someone. Yes, says Muge; she’s crying. Nare ask Muge what she would do if she was in a similar situation. Would you blame yourself? Would you hate yourself? Muge wipes her face and says it seems like Nare is the therapist here.
[exactly!] She doesn’t understand where Nare is going with this. Nare says, you will understand, you will understand. Nare gets ready to drop the bomb. Do you know wo raped me? A shout from downstairs interrupts.

It’s Sancar and Gediz! They are back! Refika hugs Gediz. Melek runs to her dad and he scoops her up in his arms. Nare runs down the stairs and her eyes meet Sancar’s. [these silent gazes between them tell the truth, right?] Gediz watches. Sancar gives Nare a big smile, walks towards her and puts his arms out ready to give her a big hug. She steps towards him, too. They both stop short. Nare breaks the awkwardness, how did they let you go? Sancar and Gediz look at each other.

Flashback to the director’s office. The inspectors are there. Did you miss us, Gediz jokes. Sancar and Gediz assume they have more questions. No, they didn’t come for that. They want to know how they did it. Did what, Sancar asks.

Turgut says he knows what. They finished the investigation. We traced the 9 million you stole, he says. But we didn’t do it, Sancar replies. Canan says, right it was from Wall Street. The inspectors are smiling. Sancar is smiling, he asks, so who took the 9 million? Akin Baydar did it, Turgut says. Gediz is shocked, who? What? Sancar’s smiling. Canan says it was Akin, the adopted son of the ambassador, who set you up.

Canan says, we came to speak with you two because we want to know how you came up with this clever plan. We don’t understand how the 9 million you stole ended up in the hands of Akin. Sancar doesn’t know, he turns to Gediz and says, the inspector thinks you used me to execute the plan. Gediz plays along, his heart is broken. Gediz thinks that the inspectors owe them an apology.

Embajador #25 part 3

Sancar tells Nare, they were proven innocent, so they released us. And how did you prove this? Sancar doesn’t answer and picks up Melek. Sancar jokes with her about learning dance steps from her grandfather.

Gediz and Nare smile and greet each other. Sancar notices. Muge must leave for her appointment and tells Nare they will continue their conversation later. Muge asks Gediz to step outside with her. Muge warns her brother not to look at Nare that way or one of you will end up in prison again. Besides that, she’s happy her brother is back. They hug. Muge wants to know what happened. He tells her that Sancar wanted to punish the ambassador’s adopted son. He planned it years ago.

Muge is shocked. You’re talking about Akin? You know him, Gediz asks? Muge hesitates. You know him, Gediz asks again, looking concerned. Uh, Nare introduced us years ago and that’s how we met. She tells her brother she really has to leave and goes back into the house. She is shaken. Gediz senses something is not right, but what?

Guven laces into Akin. Tell me the truth! Confess, did you do this to me? You planned this with Tibor and got me kicked out of the embassy? Akin denies it. Don’t believe Nare, he says. He continues to peddle the Sancar story. Guven says that Sancar was very surprised when he told him. That only proves that Sancar isn’t a stupid as we thought. [he sure isn't!] He put on an act, Akin says.

Akin’s phone rings. It’s Muge. Something terrible just happened, she tells him. [Why Muge, why?] Akin looks worried.

As they speak, the financial police show up. Guven answers the door. They are looking for Akin Baydar. Why are you looking for him? It’s about the money stolen from the Mayor’s office. Guven says, wasn’t that Sadiclar? No, it was Akin Baydar. The officer shows Guven the papers. We are here to arrest him, the officer says, can we come in? Guven lets them in. Akin was there, but not anymore. We see Akin running from the house. He’s still on the phone with Muge. He will send his location when he’s in a safer place.

Melek showers her father with kisses. Nare leans over to Gediz. She whispers she is still waiting for an explanation but she doesn’t want to interrupt the father and daughter reunion. Nare and Gediz are sitting too close for Sancar’s liking. Gediz moves away. Sancar get a call—the properties are returned and the accounts are unfrozen. So, we are rich again, Gediz asks. Refika is relieved. How did you do it?

We find out in another flashback. Sancar rushes into the prison yard and makes a beeline to Dishonest Uncle. Gediz is going crazy wondering what Sancar did. Let me kiss your hand, Dishonest Uncle, Sancar says. Uncle thinks they will be out of prison soon. Sancar and Uncle laugh. Now Gediz is totally confused. How did Uncle know. What’s going on?

Uncle tells him, he had a great job before he got here. It was eight years ago. What was your work, Gediz asks. Sancar explains that thanks to Uncle, we got the fake documents for the shell companies that Akin didn’t know we had. And that’s where we left the 9 million. So that’s your worst punishment for Akin, Gediz says, you did this eight years ago? Sancar and Uncle are enjoying this victory.

Gediz throws some rain on Sancar’s parade. He asks, and why didn’t you believe Nare? Sancar says, it’s not that I didn’t believe, but back then Akin was with her. If I believed her, Sancar says, he would have ended her life or mine.

Back to the present, Sancar tells Melek he needs to speak with her mom. Melek goes to sit with Gediz and Sancar doesn’t like that either. Nare and Sancar go outside.

Embajador #25 part 4

The Efeoglus show up at the prison and the lawyer tells them that Sancar and Gediz were released, and the properties and money are returned. Menekse and Halise are especially happy because they think that means Necdet didn’t have the chance to squeal. Our Elvan takes notice.

Outside, Sancar touches Nare’s cheek and asks her if she’s feeling better. He remembers himself. He apologizes. Awkward. Nare says she’s not better yet but she will be. She still is waiting to hear what happened. How were you not guilty? Sancar says it’s a long story but he has something important to tell her. Necdet is in jail. Nare is relieved. Justice has been done, she says, the nightmare is over I don’t have to hide in this place anymore.

Sancar reminds her of the deal she made with him to leave her job and accept his support. We get the flashback. Since Gediz and I are still partners, and we are out of prison, Sancar tells her, you are unemployed. I’ll rent you a house. Nare thinks back to telling Gediz of her plans. She was never going to accept Sancar’s terms. She lied to him. She planned to leave with Melek when the time came.

Sancar says it looks like she already resigned from the marina. He will let Melek stay with her today. Then we can pick a house you like. Okay, she says. Notice how Nare always puts her hand through her hair and scratches behind her ear when she’s anxious about something? Maybe Sancar notices this, too. He asks her if she needs to confess something. No, she doesn’t. But Sancar does.

Necdet didn’t act alone, he was paid to do it, he tells her. Nare asks if it was Menekse. No, it was my mother. I am so sorry, Nare. You don’t have to apologize for her, she says. Don’t know if I got this right but it sounded like Nare said, if your dad didn’t like me, why would your mother?

The Efeoglus return to the mansion. Menekse stops Elvan, wait. When Sancar returns will you tell him about the bracelet? Of course I will, Elvan replies. I warned you and what did you do? I told you I didn’t do it, Menekse says. Like you didn’t cut the dress either, Elvan reminds her. When Sancar gets here you can tell him you didn’t do it, but I will tell him the truth.

Halise is happy to be back where she belongs [gag]. She goes downstairs and turns on the light to find Sancar sitting at the dining room table. My son! She goes to greet him. He backs away. I think she realizes what’s about to happen. Sancar moves in on her and she backs up.

Sancar asks his mother, how could you do this? Halise answers without thinking, that man lied. He planned the whole thing, Hmmm. Who is lying? Who planned what? Sancar wants to know. At this point the whole family comes downstairs. Halise is silent. Why aren’t you answering? Look me in the eyes, mother. Why did you send someone to attack Nare? Halise shuts her eyes tight and puts her head down. Sancar asks tearfully, aren’t you a mother, too? Why did you want to hurt her?

Halise asks for forgiveness. I just wanted to scare her. What? Halise turns to the whole family, I told him not to hurt her. I wanted her to leave. The family looks devastated [except for Menekse] Halise turns to Sancar, and I wanted you to be disappointed in her. Sancar moves in real close and tells his mother, someone will leave here and that’s you. Halise gasps. I don’t want you in my house, he says. [a cheer goes up from the patio!] Halise sobs. Kavruk! Take my mother to a hotel. Have mercy Sancar, Halise begs.

Gediz knocks on Nare’s door. No one is there. Where are they? She’s left her diary. He thinks back to what Nare said, she lied to Sancar and would take Melek and leave. Oh, no… Gediz grabs the diary. It’s open to this entry: “write a letter to your best friend.” Gediz picks up an envelope “for my best friend.”

Embajador #25 part 5

Gediz opens the envelope and as he does, we see Nare driving.

He reads: Calendars aren't they the best way to measure time. If it were so, I couldn’t be sure you were my best friend in so short a time.

Do you know what I felt when I first met sancar? I felt I was not alone, there was another like me. I was a girl when I met him. He came out of the sea and looked like a great mountain. He stood still and he looked strong, maybe even a bit annoyed. But still I felt that he was like me.

When Melek was born I felt incomplete because Sancar was not there, but my daughter made me feel happy. My love for Sancar ruined me, but it never finished me because my daughter made me feel whole. My love killed me, and my daughter revived me.

Being a mother helps you find the roots that you’ve been looking for. We don't get the roots of our mother, but of our children.

We see Halise leaving the mansion. Sancar watches her from the gate.

We grow, we reproduce, and we say, let it be, nothing will happen. Sometimes your best friend makes you feel this way, Gediz. You know how your friends make you feel. You probably felt that with Sancar, and I discovered that with you. Friendship multiplies us.

You may wonder “why did you leave, you damn woman?” You wouldn’t say that. [he's thinking it] You always know what to say to make me happy. I didn’t leave to hurt you Gediz, but I will if I stay. The other day we almost ended our friendship. Gediz is crying. Today I destroyed the bond Sancar had with his mother.

Sancar watches his mother get in the car. He goes back inside the gate and slams the door.

Sancar believes I won’t destroy anything else if I stay home and don’t go out. Maybe he’s right. I would really like to stay and fight. I made big decisions, Gediz and we both must accept that I don’t do anyone any good. You went to prison because of me and lost your best friend. Sancar thinks the same. He says my existence shakes the ground he walks on. And even now I’m hurting him by taking his daughter.

Sancar is crying the stable. He pets Night.

Nare arrives at the airport.

I never wanted to separate Melek from her father, but I am not a kind woman, I couldn’t leave her with him so everyone could be happy without me. That’s why I will go far away. I know no one will forgive me but what can I do? I am the colored bird and I will do what birds do, fly.

Always my best friend, take care of your best friend. I trust you to do it. Nare.

Muge takes Akin to the shack [!!] The police won’t find you here, my love.

Akin gets a text from Nare: I’m at the airport. I’m leaving. Müge is no longer an obstacle, you don't need her. If you want me so much, look for me, call me. Let's see if you can find me. I finally won. Will Akin take the bait?

Nare and Melek go through the airport entrance and look back at all they are about to leave.

And we are out.

Chickie, thank you for that insightful quote and another great recap of all the ma!ice and mayhem.

Just what tortured, severely injured Olmo needs...Alberto unplugging things fol!owed by Ivana lying on his chest. Uff.

Fausto looks to be in bad shape .

Marina is in Never Never land .

Vera is still being harrassed by the mean girls .Why doesnt she stay in Candidas suite ?

Embajador

Thanks Dondi...always appreciate you insights and asides. A few things stood out for me:

"Sancar says, it’s not that I didn’t believe, but back then Akin was with her. If I believed her, Sancar says, he would have ended her life or mine."----So this statement from Sancar is another example of his willful ignorance. He chose not to believe or act on what Nare told him because he didn't want to confront Akin. I get it...but this is a cowardly move on his part. And even if he didn't confront Akin to defend Nare's honor...he could have behaved differently toward hard. She need support and comfort...not insults and blame.

"Don’t know if I got this right but it sounded like Nare said, if your dad didn’t like me, why would your mother?" --- Yes...this confused me too I wasn't sure if she said something about her dad not liking Sancar and Sancar's mom not liking her.

"The other day we almost ended our friendship."---I don't recall what incident she meant by this...and I don't recall that they locked eyes or did anything to suggest they might cross the friendship line...at least not from Nare. Gedez always looks at her with hungry eyes....but to me...she only has eyes for Sancar...for now anyway.

But finally...Halise got put in her place...for now anyway. I'm sure she'll have another fainting spell and work her way back into the main house. Does this mean she'll retract her claws when this comes to Nare?

And I don't blame Nare for taking her daughter and leaving. Beyond Sancar, who are they to expect she would just drop her child off and disappear. Ridiculous. And Sancar needs to learn how to co-parent without trying to control his baby momma. Ridiculous that he would expect her to stay in the house hidden...just so he doesn't have to face his guilt and short comings.

Wonder what she has in store for Akin. We know he will follow her to the ends of the earth so I'm sure she has something planned. Still glad she asked her dad if he's stupid or something....which looks like he is.

ACUERDAS Episode 42 Trials and Tribulations Part 1

Courage isn’t having the strength to go on – it is going on when you don’t have strength – Napoleon Bonaparte

Previously: Faby is relating her talk with Octavio to Eddy when Ivana flies in on her broom and interrupts. She grabs Faby’s phone, screaming she is grounded. Faby cries but to no avail. Eddy hears the bruhaha and stares into space. His calls go unanswered so he leaves a message he is coming over.

Eddy sneaks downstairs but Emilia catches him, asking where he is going. He lies and tells her that he is going out for bread. Emilia wants to talk; she is scared with everything going on and wants to return to their hometown. She notices his tattoo and he confides that he is in love with Faby and the tattoo is a way to stay connected to her. Emilia smilingly caresses his cheek and shares that she and Jass were very much in love too...but Jass is very different now. She lights up telling her son how charismatic his father was, they were so simpatico! She smiles infectiously and Eddy does as well. Jass has quietly entered the house unannounced and hears this touching conversation, tears runing down his cheek. He empties the bottle he brought home. Later, he has fruit and flowers. He knows it isn’t enough but it is a start. He promises Emilia he will no longer drink. Then, lo and behold there is music. Not beautiful music but a sincere serenade, and Emilia tells Jass she appreciates the gesture. Jass promises he will be the person he was before.

Julio looks up Octavio and the question is asked as to how a dead man could kidnap Olmo. Julio can explain it...it is a very old feud between Olmo and Fausto. They are interrupted when Octavio gets a call that they have info on the owner of the house. When he leaves his desk momentarily, his phone rings. Julio can’t resist and peeks, and it’s Ivana. Julio stares contemplatively.

During their visit, Nico asks Vera why she is there if she is a good person. Vera assures him that she has done nothing wrong and will be out soon. When the guard comes in, Pedro asks for the allotted time but the guard must take Vera. Nico asks anxiously if she is coming home tomorrow. She assures her adored son she loves him very much. She is led away as screams of “mami” reach her ears.

Vera asks Candida to help her get a phone; she need to talk to her son. Candida responds that many things can be had in prison, but how can Vera assure her that she is not going to contact her accomplice. Vera knows Candida is right and will tell her how she ended up there. When Candida asks how her husband is, Vera replies that he is in a coma and she has mixed feelings about him waking up...since she would have to go back to him. Candida asks what would happen if Olmo saw her father, Vera responds that Olmo does know of her relationship to Fausto.

ACUERDAS Episode 42 Trials and Tribulations Part 2

Ivana is holding Olmo’s hands, whispering his name, caressing his cheek. Olmo hallucinates, seeing Fausto and mutters his name. Fausto is alive he says. He asks for Marina, Pedro, Gaston and Vera. He recalls Fausto taking the gun and shooting him in his leg. He sees what is left of his leg so Ivana tells him they had to do it to save his life. Olmo insists on looking at himself to see what he has turned into. Ivana tells him that he is stronger...losing a leg won’t change Olmo Casarez. She reminds him that he overcame his wife’s death and built a successful company...and he did it without Vera...that woman has only brought him bad luck. Olmo tells her not to disrespect Vera but Ivana retorts that the woman doesn’t love him...she is a traitor, she is only using him! Olmo angrily orders her out!

Pedro tries to feed Nico who has no appetite but succumbs once Pedro uses the tried and true airline trick. A call confirms the DNA test results. He turns and smiles at Nico and kisses his head.

Jass brings Emilia something to eat and more importantly, shows her the trash containing empty liquor bottles as Eddy watches approvingly.

Faby tries to sweet talk Pedro into using his phone but he already got the word she is not allowed to. She agrees to take care of Nico.

Julio tells Lola that he went to talk to Octavio. He reminds her that Octavio worked with Fuat and now he is investigating Olmo...which is odd. Just then, Lola gets a call that Olmo is alive...and she will go pick up Nico.

The family and Delia arrive. Ivana warns them of what they will see when they enter...Olmo is disoriented and doesn’t recognize people. Not everyone can enter at once...just the sons. Delia dissolves in tears. Gaston and Pedro go in grim faced. Olmo wonders if they aren’t happy to see him and both boys lean in for a hug. He then wonders where they left his princess. He hallucinates that Fausto is asking if he wants to see his favorite daughter. Gaston tells him that Marina will come soon. Olmo complains of phantom pain from his missing leg.

Alberto is surprised that Olmo mentioned Fausto. Octavio and Rocha tell them that they found information about the house where Olmo was held but they know it was info given just to mislead them. They need to talk to Olmo but Ivana refuses to let them see him.

Chef Gabe and Laiza are kissing in the middle of the kitchen. Hot pans are not the only things sizzling. Laiza tells Gabe that she wants to talk about her mother...she asks if he can hire her mother...this way she can keep busy and not dwell on the Casares.

Pedro calls Marina to tell her about Olmo. She wants to go see him but Pedro thinks she should wait until both she and Olmo are better. Marina tells the doctor that she is going to go see her father even if she has to escape. He appears to be caving.

Delia refuses to leave until she sees Olmo. After Delia moves away, Alberto knows that Ivana doesn’t want Delia to see Olmo because she will tell him that Ivana ran her out of the house.

Lola tries to get Nico to eat but he refuses. Before Lola leaves, Faby asks if she can use her phone. Faby gives the short and not so sweet explanation. She has a boyfriend she loves and mom hates him. Lola smiles conspiratorially and hands her the phone as she knows Ivana would get upset about it.

ACUERDAS Episode 42 Trials and Tribulations Part 3 Last

Lucia tells Vera about Olmo’s leg being amputated. Vera demands to know why she hasn’t been released so Lucia explains that Ivana won’t allow anyone to talk to him. Lucia then asks if Vera is sure that Olmo declare in her favor.

Olmo’s princess arrives to see him. Marina is surprised that she wasn’t told about Olmo losing his leg...it’s like losing a child. Olmo reassures her and tells her that this will soon pass and there are prosthetics he can get. He then asks how she is, so she tells him that she missed him very much. Olmo tells her that while he was kidnapped he had horrible hallucinations and she was involved. Marina assures him that she is fine and she will take care of him when he gets home. Marina hugs her father as he tells her the important thing is that he is alive. Gaston looks like he isn’t too sure as Pedro stares (shockingly) wooden faced. Pedro leads Mar away.

When Gaston is alone with Olmo, Olma asks what happened to Marina while he was absent...he assumes she is not well.

Marina pleads with Pedro. She needs to be close to her father to take care of him and she can’t do it if she is in the hospital. She asks Pedro to tell the doctor that he will take care of her.

Pedro talks to Olmo. They talk about old times...Olmo has always been there for Pedro...he was there for him when his father died. Pedro tried to mention what he has been remembering but stops himself and tells Olmo that he needs to talk to the police...Vera is in prison and he needs to get her out of there.

Ivana sucks up to Delia...she wants Delia to return to the house. Delia gives her a big “No!” Ivana then tells her that Olmo will need much care when he returns home not just because of physical need but also because of emotional need... he is talking about suicide. Delia looks properly horrified.

Emilia doesn’t want any more secrets. She takes the gun and tells Jass she doesn’t want it in her house...and she doesn’t want Fausto near them. Jass puts the gun in a potted plant. He gets a call from Fausto but doesn’t answer.

Eddy gets a love letter from Faby explaining her situation. I love you. He smiles.

Vera has Nico’s drawing in her hand as she makes her way into the women’s room. Candida watches nervously as Yoli’s eyes follow Vera’s every step. Vera takes a plastic bag with a phone out from under the top of a toilet. Vera uses this, the likely most important call of her life to reach Lola. Vera talks to Nico who asks if she is coming for him. As she assures him she is coming soon, Yoli swoops in grabbing the phone, viciously attacking vera. When Vera pushes her against the wall, Yoli tells her that now she will kill her!! Vera screams and mercifully, the guards enter with not a second to spare. Vera is tossed in solitary.

Rocha finally goes in to see Olmo. She is the only he will talk to about what he knows.

ACUERDAS

Thank you RgvChick for your superb dialog translations.

Both Fausto and Olmo have been pounded into the ground (so to speak)...both physically wrecked and emotionally wretched...

Diana

ACUERDAS

Diana, thanks. This was excellent.

Terrible that nobody has told Olmo about Vera yet. It was ominous when the lawyer asked if Olmo would clear Vera. Time for the jail story to end.

Ivana now wants Delia back to protect her own position with Olmo??? If Delia goes back, she should tell Olmo about her banishment or use it to blackmail Ivana.

The twisty sick highlight of the episode was Marina saying that Olmo losing his leg was like losing a child. Nothing is improving inside that noggin. No hope for her.

“Hot pans are not the only things sizzling.” Yay! All the better to keep Laila away from that creep Gastón.

"ACUERDAS":
Jarifa: Here's a new hashtag: FREE VERA!

ACUERDAS

Good morning Jarifa and thank you!

Definitely time for Vera to be sprung. It's like watching a fly glued to fly paper. Vera has no game, no hope, no chance. Candida can't be with her every second. Her continued incarceration is just filler at this point.

It will be interesting to see how she and Olmo will interact once she is out.

"The twisty sick highlight of the episode was Marina saying that Olmo losing his leg was like losing a child. Nothing is improving inside that noggin. No hope for her" perfectly captured the absurdity of that statement. She seems a bit calmer but other than that, hasn't lost her cray cray!

Diana

Acuerdas #42/43

Gracias to our stalwart recappers for their diligence on this series.

Shouldn't Olmo have serious hearing difficulties after exposure to that heavy metal torture? I once knew someone who was standing in front of the horns on the top of the Forbes yacht when they blew and he couldn't hear for almost a week.

Marina seems to be beyond help now. I hope Olmo sees that. Honestly, allowing her to marry Pedro did not help this back in the day.

Delia should stay out of the snake pit, but I think she is in love with Olmo, too.

Ivana is rapidly getting more evil. Is there a limit? Before this is over she will be in the ninth circle of hell with Catalina Creel. She will make a serious attempt on Vera's and Nico's lives before much more time passes. Could she be behind the attacks on Vera?

ACUERDAS

So glad you posted Urban.

You always bring up things I hadn't considered. First, Delia being in love with Olmo. Hmmm. Very interesting and definitely possible. They appear to have the perfect platonic relationship but her still waters may run deeper. Just as her daughter years for Gaston...

And either Yoli has a deep and intense hatred for Vera or perhaps she is being paid to add fuel to her burning fire.

A lot to ponder.

Diana

ACUERDAS

Just as her daughter yearns for Gaston.

Diana

ACUERDAS

Good points, Urban. I hadn’t thought about Delia also being in love with Olmo but that is a possibility. It wouldn’t be the first time that the older head housekeeper was in love with her older widowed boss. I remember that in the comedy “Como tú no hay dos.”

ACUERDAS

Thank you, Diana! You’ve taken a palette of dismal colors and created a beautiful painting of last night’s events.

I’m not sure how serious Jass is about changing back to his better days, but there is always hope, isn’t there? …especially if he can manage to stay away from Fausto’s tentacles.

Julio sure is showing so much more charisma than our low-energy galán. He is another that I hope won’t be sacrificed in the name of justice.

Watching Ivana all over Olmo is just sickening...and I keep asking why Gas and Pedro don’t put a stop to her possessiveness with Olmo. Oh, wait…I remember now…neither has the “equipment” to do it :-D

Eddy and Faby continue to brighten the screen. If anyone deserves a happy ending with a bright future it is these two.

Jarifa, “Time for the jail story to end.” YES!!! Enough of the brutal bullying! But I do hope Candida gets more screen time if and when Vera is released. Diana, “Her continued incarceration is just filler at this point.” EXACTLY!!

And I also agree about Marina: “Nothing is improving inside that noggin. No hope for her.” I am starting to dread seeing her and her pathetic obsession with children. Did the writers really have to turn her into to an unappealing psycho. In “Imperio”, Renata was the psycho obsessed with having a baby, but we were always rooting for her.

Urban, “Delia should stay out of the snake pit, but I think she is in love with Olmo, too.” Good point! I hadn’t crossed my mind but it may very well be. I’m still very curious as to who Laiza’s sperm donor is.

ACUERDAS

RgvChick, I so appreciate your kind support.

And to add another point well pondering, yes, who is Laiza's father???

"I keep asking why Gas and Pedro don’t put a stop to her possessiveness with Olmo. Oh, wait…I remember now…neither has the “equipment” to do it :-D" was perfect and had me nodding in vigorous agreement.

In Imperio, I (mostly) rooted for Dario who was often well, savage. But I feel murder is a line that can't be crossed. I still remember Jacinto, Emilia and Eddy as we first saw them, a loving, seemingly devoted family. Seeing Fuat's senseless murder, there has not been enough regret or atonement for me. It was Jacinto who ruined his family. I fear there can be no happy ending for him. My hopes are much higher for Emilia and Eddy.

Thanks Diana for an excellent recap!
For being the best lawyer available to help Vera, her lawyer seems powerless, weak and ineffective! If she’s the best, I wonder what the worst would be like! Same goes for Rocha, so bland and lacking any smarts. How can she blindly believe Ivana?
Pedro has reverted to his vacant facial expressions! I wish he were a better actor!
Ditto for finding the jail scenes drawn out and unnecessarily long! Tired of so many novelas resorting to this plot device!

Embajador #26 part 1

Gediz is speeding somewhere in his car. Nare’s letter is echoing in his head.

Sancar is outside, he washes his face from a faucet. Menekse brings him a towel. I saw you from the window, she says. She starts to dry his face but he takes the towel from her--it wasn’t necessary. Your eyes are red, you were crying, Menekse says. Mrs. Halise upset you. Will you not let her back into the house?

Sancar asks her why she protected the ambassador’s daughter. How do you know, she responds? So, it’s true, Sancar says, I didn’t expect this from you. Tell me why you did it… ask me for anything you want. Menekse is upset. She turns and walks a few steps then stops. She walks back to Sancar and says, you are rewarding me for protecting woman you love? I protected her because she’s a mother. She takes his hands and tells him, I wish to become a mother, too. He pulls his hands back. Menekse, I’ve told you, Melek needs all of my time, he says.

Gediz tires screech as he pulls up to the mansion. He gets out of his car and shouts repeatedly for Sancar. He bangs on the mansion door. Sancar and Menekse run. The family opens the door.

With everyone assembled, Gediz says Nare left. She took Melek. What? (Menekse’s happy.) It seems she’s going far away. She left a letter that says she’s a bird and she’s going to fly. Sancar is angry on two counts: Nare took his daughter and she wrote Gediz a letter.

Nare and Melek are on line at the airport. Melek asks if the cell phone on airplane mode. Yes, Nare says, no one will be able to locate us. Can we escape without them noticing? Nare hopes so. Melek bumps into the man standing in front.

Akin is in a taxi. He’s trying to call Nare and she’s not answering. He reads her text again. He says to himself, whatever you want, Nare. I can’t wait for this game to start.
Gediz and Sancar are on their way to the airport. Sancar is trying to call Nare, too. Gediz tells him he already tried calling her 10 times and she didn’t answer. Sancar wants to see the letter she left. Gediz says no, she didn’t write it for you. Sancar is ticked. It’s a race against time for the partners to make it to the airport and catch Nare.

Sancar and Gediz arrive at the airport and run through the terminal. They don’t see Nare or Melek. Gediz goes to counter. I need to know about two passengers, he says. The agent can’t give out that info. Gediz tries another agent, it’s a no go, too.

Gediz sees the airport security running and hopes that Sancar didn’t cause trouble. He knows his friend well because Sancar’s got someone by the collar and is shouting about his daughter being kidnapped. The guards pull Sancar off and force him to his knees--all the while he’s shouting about his kidnapped daughter. Gediz shows up too and asks the guards to let Sancar go but they force him to the ground, too. They get cuffed.

Akin shows up in a seedy place and tells the guy he needs a passport and ID. The guy asks if the police are looking for him. None of your business, Akin says, just tell me if you can do it or not. How much money you got, the guy asks. Akin left his things at the house and his accounts are likely frozen. But he has money in Switzerland… I could get it. The guy scoffs, are you trying to fool a forger? If you don’t pay me, I can’t sue you. Akin gives him all the money he has and asks if he can stay here for the night. Ha, ha, this place is a disgusting rat hole, that he deserves.

dondi356

Embajador #26 part 2

The lawyer gets the partners out of jail the next morning. Gediz would like to sleep at home for once. Kavruk makes a crack, it’s an honor for them to have Sancar as a prisoner, he has already visited all the other prisons in Mugla, he was only missing this one.

Sancar asks Gediz if Nare had money. He’s worried his daughter will go hungry. Gediz makes a comment on how Nare was looking for work and Sancar made that impossible. Kavruk has to step in to prevent an argument. He says instead of arguing, think of a solution.
Sancar knows what he will do. He’s going to look for the ambassador’s daughter. When he finds her, he’s going to demand and explanation. Gediz mocks, there’s one small detail—she’s vanished.

A distraught Sancar raises his voice, she can’t leave me! She can’t take my daughter! Kavruk tells him you can yell all you want; the bird already flew away. He motions to a plane in the sky. Sancar says, fly all you want I will find you; I’m going to find you no matter what.

Akin is still trying to call Nare. He’s frustrated. He texts Muge. My love, can you come to the location I send? No one can know. Can you please bring me clothes?

Muge is stopped on her way out by Refika. She’s ticked Muge came home late last night. Yes, she had a patient and she has one now. Refika complains about everyone coming and going. Gediz is gone too. [her kids are adults, right?] Where is Gediz, Muge asks? Refika has no idea. She tells Muge that Nare left with Melek and he went after them. She tells Muge her brother obsessed with Nare and would follow her to hell.

Ayse calls Muge as she’s about to leave. What do you want to do with your money? Dudu is digging for it in the trunk. They were going to bring it to Halise but she thought to call Muge first. Muge says she can’t get the money right now, maybe Ayse should talk to Halise about it. Refika is listening, she whispers, did you hide our money with them? Yes.
Refika takes the phone. She tells Ayse that Gediz will get the money tonight. Ayse tells Dudu there’s a change of plans. Dudu is ticked. Ayse tells Refika they are planning to visit Halise tonight.

Muge wonders why her mother lied to Ayse. Gediz is not getting the money, he doesn’t know where it is. Refika does not want the money going to Halise. Muge has to go; she tells her mom they will talk later. Refika says she might not be home. If the villagers are visiting Halise, she should be there, too. She wants to make sure Halise doesn’t say something stupid.

Halise is crying in her hotel room. There’s a knock at the door. It’s Elvan. She hugs Elvan but Elvan doesn’t hug back. Elvan asks Halise how she could have done something like this to Nare. Halise explains she didn’t want to hurt her, just scare her. And did it work out for you, Elvan asks? Your own son kicked you out. Was it worth it? An innocent woman was beaten.

Halise doesn’t know if it was worth it, but she tells Elvan not to judge her. She asks Elvan, do you know how it feels to have your own son walk away from you, little by little? You could only understand if you were a mother like me. [with a mother like her who needs enemies? Halise is still as cruel as ever]

Elvan might not understand that but she does understand why Nare left. She didn’t deserve to be treated this way. Elvan tell Halise her wish was fulfilled. Congratulations, suegra, Nare left forever but she took Melek with her. Halise gasps. Sancar has lost his daughter thanks to you. Halise cries for her granddaughter. Elvan leaves her to think if it was worth it or not.

Embajador #26 part 3

Elvan gets a call from a frantic Gulsiye. I need you! The employees are about to return to the mansion. They are coming after the prayer at noon and, after evening prayer, the women from the village are coming to visit. What are we doing to do?

Flashback to Halise telling a group of villagers that her son is innocent and will prove it. We will keep you informed, she says, we will prepare a feast. It will be a celebration.

Uh, oh, Elvan says, she promised a feast. Gulsiye says, they will ask for Halise and remind us of what she promised. Only Mrs. Halise was kicked out of the mansion!

Halise is looking at pics of Melek and cries for her sweet girl. There’s a banging at her door. It’s Elvan. Everyone is coming to the mansion, she says. What? You need to go back to the mansion, right now! She tells Halise that Sancar is off looking for Nare so she can return. Halise is worried about Sancar kicking her out again. Elvan says no one will know. We promised a feast and they are getting one!

Sancar and Gediz show up at Akin’s house. Guven’s got his bags packed. Akin’s house has been seized. Did you come to see that I have no place to go, Guven says. We aren’t here to make fun of you, Sancar replies. We want to know where your daughter is. Guven is surprised. Did she go somewhere? Sancar tells Guven not to lie. Sancar knows Guven still has custody of Melek and she can’t leave the country without his permission. Do you think Nare asked for permission, Guven says. Nare forged my signature when she took Melek from Podgorica. She had a friend who is a notary. She can go wherever she wants.

Gediz tells Guven, here’s what you will do. You are going to use your prized reputation and make some calls. You will get a list of passengers who traveled today. Sancar wants to take this conversation to a more private place. Guven tells them they are kidnapping an innocent man. Sancar tells Guven he’s not innocent. Gediz says that Guven can yell if he wants. Or, Sancar says, you can help us find your daughter. I will pay for your services. And, Gediz adds, find you a temporary home. Sancar tells Guven to start calling and he does.

Muge comes for Akin. She brings a bag. She’s shocked he’s in a place like this. He had no choice, the cops are looking for him. Why didn’t you stay where we agreed, Muge asks, why did you leave? He recalls Nare’s text. He tells Muge he needed to see the forger and this was the place. Muge asked if this is the place of the criminal. Akin tells her criminals are people, like you and me [he got half of that right.] He gives Gediz as an example.

Muge asks if he is blaming her. My brother and Sancar stole the money, but I don’t know why Sancar insists on blaming you. Ok, Akin says, it’s not your fault. He hugs her. I’m just stressed out. I left my wallet and my accounts have been frozen. If I can get to Switzerland, I could get my money. I don’t even have money for the passport.

Muge wants to know how much he needs. No, no I couldn’t accept, he says. [He plays her like a fiddle.] Look you can’t withdraw money because of my brother and his stupid friend, she says, of course I will pay. [she’ll pay alright.] All she needs to do is think of a lie to tell her brother. Gediz manages her money and she has to talk to him.

Embajador #26 part 4

Sancar, Gediz and Guven arrive at the olive grove office. Guven is still making calls to find Nare. Yahya and Zehra are there. Yahya goes to attack Guven right away but Sancar waves him off.

Guven has tried but has not gotten any result. Gediz mocks the ex-ambassador, they have forgotten you and hang up when they hear your voice. Guven thinks someone will come through for them, just have a little patience.

Zehra gives her brother a hug and tries to assure him that Melek will be back soon. He asks Zehra to leave and asks Yahya to go outside and watch the door. Yahya is not happy to be relegated to playing doorman. Sancar orders him out.

Sancar circles Guven. He pulls up a chair and makes him sit. Sancar says, Guven Celebi will use his contacts to find his daughter, just like he found us. Guven calls for patience again. He made the calls, they will search the files and call back. Sancar doubts they will call back. He tells Guven he has a few hours left. This is a warning and you know what I’m capable of.

Guven nervously says they will call back, be patient. Gediz asks to talk about the other problem they have. What’s that? The rat problem, Sancar replies. Gediz asks, how did you get the evidence to put us behind bars? Guven has his own question, how did you trap Akin? We ask the questions here, Sancar says. Gediz continues, who told you we robbed the municipality eight years ago? They had a lot of documents from our company. Who is the snitch?

Muge interrupts the interrogation with a call to Gediz. Gediz, I need money. He tells her this is not a good time. Yes, it is she says. I need you to transfer 100,000 dollars. What? He laughs. Why do you need so much? To buy a car. Gediz says but you’re afraid to drive. Why do you want a car? You won’t use it. Muge says she wants to learn. Can you transfer the money? Gediz tells her, you don’t need the money. He will get her a company car. And he hangs up.

Ok, back to the interrogation. Gediz remembers that the men who attacked Nare were afraid of boiling water. He tells Guven that Sancar poured boiling water on them, what do you think about that? That sounds like a good idea to Sancar. He moves in close to Guven, let’s see how you react. Guven gulps. Sancar asks Yahya to get boiling water; they are going to scare Guven. Yahya yells for Guven’s benefit, I’ll be back in ten with the boiling water.

Guven looks sick. He stammers, you are going to torture an innocent man with hot water? Gediz says he would never do that. He is the image of the company but he cannot answer for Sancar.

Guven begs Sancar, I’m your daughter’s grandfather. You can’t do this to me. What? Sancar says, you imprisoned the father of your granddaughter. My mother ordered to have your daughter beaten. I think we don’t have the best relationship. Sancar moves in real close to Guven, I kicked my mother out of my home just for your daughter. Gediz is surprised at that revelation. Sancar asks Guven, why wouldn’t I torture you?

And we are out.

Thank you Fe!

More astute observations.

Lucia hasn't been much of a help has she? Letting Vera languish in jail shouldn't have been part of the plan.

And I liked your "bland" description of Rocha. While not overtly dishonest, her alliance with Ivana is definitely skirting the definitive line into that territory.

Nina, I think your "hot mess" applies to the April 5th as well as last night's episode. Things are getting dire for Vera...

Adriana Noel, are you still with us??

EMNAJADOR

dondi another great recap. A good episode too. Made better by you.
Thank you so very much.

What I don't like is that deal she came up with. His actually. She don't work but stay there and let melek stay with him. She lives in a little house like a kept pet. Really? Im glad she has the dignity
Not to fall for that. Is he crazy?

Hes the one that got stuck with a wife he can even stand to be around
Listening to his stupid mother.
I don't blame nare for taking her daughter and leaving. He must be a
New jackass. He don't want to see her look at gediz. Poor gediz. Hes so in love. But he loves his dumb butthead of a best friend and don't
Want to hurt him. So he looks at nare with that longing look of love
He should let stupid read theletter Everyone is obliging sancar.

Poor mugi. She'll get a clue soon I hope. Nare told her stupid daddy off finally. And yes he was always that stupid. And there doesn't seem to be a change in the fore seeable future.

Ok so much to write about but gotta go. Thank you dondi.

It's a beautiful spring Day in florida.

Dondi, thanks so much for another great recap that answered all my questions.

Looks like Hellise is going to be sneaking back into the mansion to supervise the feast . What is Sancar going to say about that?

Meanie tells Sancar that she " wants to be a mother, too. ". Subtle...very subtle.

I have no idea where this plot is headed , but i cant wait to see what happens tonight.

Gediz and Sancar playing " good cop, bad cop " with detestable Guven .

I hope Akin gkt a lot of bedbug bites. He is so creepy. Muge, despierta.

Acuerdas

Diana, thank you so much for that fantastic recap of all the struggle and strife.

I dont understand why Rocha acts like Ivana is her boss . Watching Ivana try to backtrack on dismissing Delia now that Olmo is back in the picture. She was getting so comfortable being large and in charge.

I suddenly realized how interesting it must have been with the combo of Olmo and Alma. Ol and Al .

ACUERDAS

Hello Susanlynn, and thank you so very much.

I have to think Rocha realized early on that Ivana knew where all the bodies were buried (so to speak). She just didn't babble about Vera being guilty, she guided Rocha into "seeing" what she wanted her to, not so subtle (or truthful) evidence, but unfortunately for Vera, rightfully suspicious.

Olmo created Ivana's monstrous behavior and I think he will be the only one to stop it.

Diana and RVG Chick,
thanks for the wonderful recaps for the past two episodes.

How is it that Candida can have what appears to be a nicely furnished suite--- in jail?

Also why has Alberto turned against Olmo, to the point of trying to kill him? Seems like no one is loyal to anyone.

I can't wait for Ivana to get what due her.

Dondi Dondi Dondi, thank you, it's a hit!

Smarter than that. She is a psych

Can't even handle her own money? I
Wonder if akin knows that? He did say being with her for 10 was like getting stabbed. And she is callin her brother and sancar stupid.
Oboy akin saw her a mile away. She was easy pickins she is. Gediz you got your hands full baby.

When I saw the commotion at the airport I just knew sancar has done something to cause trouble. He just don't think before he acts. He is just some kind of stupid. But nare
Loves him, God help her. And poor not-to-smart mugi.

So what is this about menekse doing
Good deeds? Defending hell-lise? So when did that happen? I was watchin
But I must have missed something.
But I did see the smurky look on her face. It's never gonna go the way she wants it.

Didn't sancar include him in it? That money belongs to all of granpa Efleoglu's grand babies not just him. And what does he mean nare was with akin? What is with this stupid annoying man talkin about?

ACUERDAS

Thank you so much Lester.

"How is it that Candida can have what appears to be a nicely furnished suite--- in jail?" made me smile. I have no answer of course as to how Candida seems to have not only protection but privacy. I am so grateful that she does though as Vera would not be alive now if not for her...

Alberto seems to becoming very jealous of Olmo of late. Of course Ivana has been in love with Olmo for a long time so why he is experiencing this fit of pique now is confusing. He likely feels Olmo is vulnerable and thinks he will take advantage. His pulling the plug didn't work but he may seek out other opportunities.

Diana

Embajador

Thanks again Dondi.

Nina...you and I have the same question regarding Sancar stating Nare was with Akin. I wasn't sure what he meant by that...that they were in a relationship (dismissing the rape)....or she was with him as in they are like family. Again...willfully ignorant on his part to dismiss what she was trying to tell him.

And yes... Halise is cruel...constantly reminding Elvan she's childless....cruel and thoughtless. Here's hoping for a miracle pregnancy for Elvan but I still say they should consider adoption.

And yes...how thoughtless and ridiculous of Sancar to expect Nare to sit quietly in the house while he and his family take over raising her daughter. Ok for him to continue his hellish marriage but Nare is never to have a life or move on...yeah right. I can get him not being able to stomach her with his best friend but he has no right to control her life and her future outside of him. He needs to learn anger management...and how to co-parent.

Who's guessing that Meneske is anxious to start a family because she's already preggers. She had an unknown relationship with a guy who now in jail...and can't be there for her. We've seen too many times before...shot gun/hurriedly marriage to cover up a pregnancy. It's not too far fetched since Sancar did do the deed...at least once that we know of. But I really hope she's not. She's not a nice person and was mean to a child...she nor Halise deserve a happy ending.

And I wonder if the promised feast/homecoming is going to be how Halise weasel's her way back into the house. I hope Sancar stands his ground and kicks her out after the feast. At least if she gets the hands on the money that Nare harvested for the family, she can pay her way...but she doesn't deserve that either.

Regarding the money and Yaya... and Muge and Gediz....appears to be a common theme in these turkish TNs that the elder male handles and makes the money decisions for the whole family...but not sure if Sancar is the eldest her. He's definitely the alpha male though. G

I like that jass wants to go back to being the nice brother that he was, but that maybe difficulty for him since he has blood on his hands.
And little miss nutjob is turning into a psycho bitch. Nobody says no to her. If she should find out that nico is Pedro's bio son he'll have a nightmare on his hands. She already said she knows he dont love her, but she will never let him go.
Olmo created that monster.

I was wondering the same thing Diana about the jail suite that condida has. Its quit nice. They always have a nice person in prison
That helps out the innocent person that was convicted illegally. Stay with them til the get out. I hope condida can have a happy liberated
Ending.

ACUERDAS, Ep. 43: Prisoner….of Obsession and Jealousy Part 1

At the hospital, Pedro leaves so that Olmo can speak to Rocha. When Octavio enters, Olmo emphasizes that he will only speak to Rocha and tells Octavio that his presence is not needed…he should leave.

Olmo tells Rocha that Granados was responsible for his kidnapping…Granados did it because Olmo did not help him clear his name. When Rocha asks about El Chamaco, Olmo replies that he never saw anyone but Granados. Rocha then asks about who shot him in the leg, so Olmo tells her that Granados handed him to someone else.. and denies knowing who that person was.

Outside in the hall, the family is anxiously waiting, Gas wonders why his father didn’t confide in them and Ivana thinks that Olmo was probably afraid. When Rocha comes out, Pedro asks what his father said but Rocha tells him that it is confidential…what she can tell them is that justice will prevail.
Gas, Pedro and Ivana enter Olmo’s room and ask if he is okay. When Pedro asks what they talked about, Olmo replies that Rocha told him about the investigation and he told her everything that he knew…hopefully they will catch those who were responsible. Pedro asks if they talked about Vera so Olmo tells them “of course.” Ivana tries to spew some venom, but Olmo asks her not to start…he will not allow them to split the family apart. Olmo then wants to rest….alone, but Gas insists that one of them stay; so, Olmo asks for Delia. Ivana rushes out and tells Delia that Olmo wants to see her. When Ivana asks if she has thought about returning to the house, Delia relies with a “No, I have not!”

Jass prays to a saint for help to stop drinking. Emi listens then asks what other help he will ask for…they all deserve a second chance…but without his father close by.

The Casares family returns home and Ivana tell Faby that her uncle will overcome…there is nothing her uncle can’t do and he will overcome as he always does. When Faby leaves, Alberto reproaches Ivana for talking so highly about Olmo. He reminds her that if Olmo returns, they will be out of the house. He then wonders what will happen to them and tells Ivana that she should be thinking about their own family. Ivana insists that this is the time that they should be indispensable to Olmo. When Alberto reminds her that she said she loved Olmo, Ivana hopes that he can accept it and learn something from it, but Alberto refuses to base their relationship on what happens in that house.

Olmo and Delia are chatting and having a shot of liquor. Delia can’t believe how well he is adjusting Olmo assures her that he will be stronger now.. the only thing that worries him is Vera…he doesn’t know how he will be able to be with her…in public and intimately. Delia encourages him …she tells him that he has all the control in his hands…and also his wife’s destiny; and he has her unconditional friendship.

Tender moment: Pedro is reading Nico a bedtime story. Once asleep, Pedro stokes Nico’s hair and kisses him goodnight.

Olmo asks Delia if she knows anything about the message Vera got. Delia replies that she wouldn’t place her hands in the fire for Vera, but if Vera did anything against him, Vera would be the stupidest person in the world. Delia then adds that Vera had many opportunities to escape, but she didn’t. Just then Alberto enters and asks for some time with his old friend.

ACUERDAS, Ep. 43: Prisoner….of Obsession and Jealousy Part 2

Pedro calls Teo and tells him that Rocha talked to Olmo for over an hour, but she wouldn’t tell them what Olmo said, Pedro is sure that either Rocha or Ivana will speak pit Olmo against Vera. Gonzo tells him that he will call Lucia to see if she can get a copy of the statement, but Pedro still worries that if Olmo declared against Vera, his life as well as Nico’s will change radically.

Olmo confides in Alberto about Fausto. Alberto argues that Fausto is dead, but Olmo assures him that it was Fausto who tortured him and shot him in the leg. When Alberto counters that Olmo could have been hallucinating, Olmo needs to confirm that Fausto is alive. He tells Alberto to find Ramiro and ask him if he did indeed kill Fausto. When Alberto asks when Olmo will return to work, Alberto explains that the value of their stocks has plummeted…and the other business is at a halt.

The guard goes for Vera and tell her that she is being released from solitary confinement. Vera wonders if Olmo said something.

Ivana tells Melida that Delia will return and warns her that she’d better behave…like the lady she should be. When Melida remarks that she will not lower herself to that woman’s level, Ivana reminds her that she (Ivana) set her at the higher level and if she wants to stay at that level, Melida needs to comply. When Olmo returns everything will return to normal.

Vera enters Candida’s cell and realizes that Candida sold all her things to pay for her release from solitary confinement. Candida explains that she couldn’t stand the injustice…and that laws are made in a way that the innocent can be incarcerated.

Gas, Pedro, and Ivana go to see Olmo. Olmo is feeling better and asks about the company. Pedro admits that the stock prices have gone down. Olmo thinks that there is only one way to fix things.

Eddy is surprised to see that Emi is so happy. When Emi explains that Jass is trying to change, Eddy tells her not to fool herself…everything will be the same once his grandfather returns.

Olmo insists that he wants to put everything in order. There could be another attempt on his life…and what happened to him helped him place things in perspective. He is thinking about the people he loves and he needs to save the business for them. Olmo insists that the public needs to see him. After he asks about Melida’s pregnancy, Olmo states that the baby is the future of the Casares. Olmo then asks to speak to Pedro alone. Once alone, Olmo asks Pero if he went to see Vera. After Pedro confirms that he did and that he got her a lawyer, Olmo wonders what interest he has in Vera. Pedro explains that it was a matter of justice, not interest. When Olmo mentions the message Vera got, gullible Pedro assures him that Vera doesn’t know who sent it. Olmo then asks why Pedro ran to Vera and Nico when the attack happened; so, Pedro explains that it was just an instinct…to protect Nico. Pedro then reminds Olmo that Vera shouldn’t remain behind bars; Olmo tell him that Vera’s luck has been cast!

Delia arrives at Laiza’s apartment. Laiza tells her that she is going on a trip with Gabriel. When they return, Delia should go by the restaurant because Gabe has a job for her. To Laiza’s shock, Delia tells her that she is returning to the Casares home because Olmo needs her more than ever. When she adds that Olmo is her friend, Laiza retorts that Olmo is not her friend, he is her boss!

Pedro goes to see Vera. He isn’t sure what Olmo declared but he knows that Olmo is burning with jealousy because he is helping her. When Vera wonders if Olmo doesn’t want her in his house, Pedro questions if she would want to return to the house…to be Olmo’s wife.

ACUERDAS, Ep. 43: Prisoner….of Obsession and Jealousy Part 3

Gas goes to see Marina who pleads with him to help her get out of the hospital since Pedro won’t help her.

Vera reminds Pedro that she has not divorced Olmo...and Pedro has not divorced Marina. Vera then thinks it doesn’t matter because she is still apart from Nico. Pedro had thought about bringing him but Nico was too distraught when he saw Vera in prison. Pedro then suggests that if Olmo declared against her, Vera should give him custody of Nico so that Nico won’t suffer too much.

Pedro returns home and sees Nico in the garden As they hug, Nico tells him that he is the best pretend father ever. After Nico leaves, Gas *who has been listening) sits up and asks about the “pretend father”. After Pedro explains, Gas thinks that if Vera is found guilty, Marina would probably like to be a pretend mother too. They then discuss Marina leaving the hospital. Pedro worries that if Marina returns, she will continue living in a fantasy since she still thinks they are together. Gas asks him to reconsider it since taking care of Olmo would help Marina.

Vera tells Candida that she is worried that Olmo declared against her. As they speak, the guard comes for Vera.

Pedro speaks to the psychologist who tells him that Marina is doing well; she is thinking (and scheming) coherently. Though Marina is still dependent on Pedro, she will function well at home with Pedro’s help.

Lucia tells Vera tha she is being is released immediately! Before she leaves, Vera goes to see Candida and tells her that she is leaving; she will miss her very much and she could not have survived without her. When Candida tells her that now she can be happy with Pedro and her son, Vera reminds her that Pedro is her impossible love. After Candida advises her to follow her heart, Vera promises that she will do everything she can to get Candida out of prison.

Marina tells Andres that she is leaving but he can call her. He grabs her and kisses her…and she didn’t resist!! Perdo-too-late then approaches; so Marina leaves with him as she looks back and smiles at Andres.

Laiza tells Gas that she is leaving on trip with her BF. Gas sulks.

ACUERDAS, Ep. 43: Prisoner….of Obsession and Jealousy Part 4

Delia returns to the Casares home and smiles as she looks around. Melida approaches and apologizes. Marina then runs in announcing that she is back and gives Delia a big hug.

Vera calls Lola and tells her that she is free…thanks to the best lawyer in the world! Vera then tells Lucia that her work isn’t done yet…Lucia needs to work on getting her friend out of prison. As she walks away, Vera smiles since Pedro is waiting for her. Suddenly a vehicle arrives and stops blocking Vera way. The door opens and SORPESA! Olmo pops his head out. Olmo tells her that he was finally able to get her out of this horrid place…and she should get in with him. Vera maintains her composure and continues smiling.

The Casares ladies are excited that Olmo is soon arriving. Faby stays with Melida and manages to distract her as she grabs a cell phone that is on the table.

On the way home, Vera thanks Olmo for what he did. When Olmo mentions his leg, Vera assures him that she knows and it doesn’t matter....he is much more than that. And she thought she had lost him forever.

Faby calls Eddy. After she complains about her parents, Eddy thinks that all adults are crazy. When Faby tells him that she has been thinking about the message she got, Eddy tells her not to think about it… her uncle is well and that is what matters.

Vera and Olmo arrive home as the family waits outside. Many hugs and smiles welcome him. Pedro approaches with is usual emotionless look as Vera watches with a forced smile. All the family goes inside, except for Vera stands looking quite alone. Delia rushes to Vera and hugs her as she tells Vera that she will call Nico. When Nico runs out and hugs Vera, she tells hemi that nothing will ever separate them again.

Later, in Olmo’s room. Vera tells Olmo that she is tired. When she adds that she will leave him so that he can rest, Olmo asks where she is going ..this is her bedroom; she is not going anywhere! He then forcefully grabs and pulls her close to him. He threatens, “From now on, it better be clear that your freedom belongs to me. Just like I took you out of prison, I can put you back!”

FIN!!

"ACUERDAS":

RGV Chick: Olmo is downright creepy & sick. Is he going to violate the damsel in distress (Vera) ?

ACUERDAS

RgvChick, your meticulous attention to detail shone at every turn. Your insight is laser sharp. A wonderful read.

"Pedro speaks to the psychologist who tells him that Marina is doing well; she is thinking (and scheming) coherently" was my favorite line of many.

"Olmo needs to confirm that Fausto is alive" caught me a bit by surprise. I didn't realize the extent to which Olmo was drugged as Fausto was in plan sight several times during Olmo's captivity.

"Jass prays to a saint for help to stop drinking". Pray harder.

"Eddy tells her not to fool herself…everything will be the same once his grandfather returns". Clear and level headed our still too young to be a galan imparts the near future with words of wisdom. And if Jass continues to ignore Fausto's calls, he will put them all in grave danger.

"Vera calls Lola and tells her that she is free…thanks to the best lawyer in the world!". Viewerville collectively shake our heads

Sharing a drink with her dear friend and returning to the mansion shows us that Delia is back at home. Her life and her heart are here irregardless of how others perceive her role.

Laiza is doing all she can to leave Gaston behind...

"Vera calls Lola and tells her that she is free…thanks to the best lawyer in the world!" Viewerville shakes our collective heads in disagreement.

"Tender moment: Pedro is reading Nico a bedtime story". Gabriel Soto has always shone in any scene he shares with children. His eyes and smile light up. I just wish he would carry this seemingly sheer enjoyment over to other scenes.

Faby who is getting to be the light fingered little lady has my admiration for refusing to stay under Ivana's thumb.

The large, not so happy family is together again. Olmo is now clearly Vera's captor and she is still in prison, she's just changed location. It will be impossible for her and Pedro to have a conversation, all eyes will be on her.

RgvChick, marvelous. Thank you, thank you!

Diana

EMBAJADOR

Why is Gediz running around in those ridiculous jackets? Somebody needs to call the fashion police lol ...

DESAMOR

Thanks, RgvChick. What a way to start me day with a hot cup of coffee and your recap!

I had to laugh when Ivana complained about Alberto spitting on her when he was talking.

The best scene was Delia and Olmo drinking and chatting.

I sure hope that Vera can do something to help Cándida.

Diana, “The large not so happy family is back together again.” I couldn’t believe how Vera was absolutely ignored by “the family” when Olmo made his return. His warning to her was chilling as you noted. Yes, “. . . she is still in prison, she’s just changed location.”

I didn’t watch this very carefully from the beginning but do we know how the first Mrs. Olmo died? Could have Vera been responsible for her death?

ACUERDAS

Good Morning, Patio and thank you, Diana and Jarifa, for starting the conversation.

Diana, regarding Jass, "Pray harder." Yes, he will need much praying and a couple of miracles. And thank you Diana for the previous reminder tha Jass murdered Fuat; so at a minimum he nees to have some prison time. For Eddy's sake though, I do hope that Jass is sincere in his repentance. "if Jass continues to ignore Fausto's calls, he will put them all in grave danger." So true! So true!

Regarding Vera's comment that Lucia is the best lawyer..." "Viewerville collectively shake our heads" Yes, we are all at that table!

Faby has earned her owned table and I'm sitting right there with you, Diana. I am just wondering where she gets her integrity and benevolence...definitely not from Ivana. Oooh I almost forgot that Alberto is not her bio dad...so it must come from Octavio.

Jarifa, thanks for this, "I had to laugh when Ivana complained about Alberto spitting on her when he was talking." I totally missed that and will have to go back a watch! And we don't know how Alma (the first Mrs. Olmo) died, but Vera definitely had nothing to do with her death. I can't say the same for Olmo though; he probably killed her with his jealousy and possesiveness...or maybe dying was her only way out.

ACUERDAS

Jarifa, yes, Olmo's interactions with Delia seem to be one of the few times he lets his guard down and seems to enjoy himself.

We've long speculated how Alma died. Could it have been Ivana? Olmo in a fit of jealousy? According to Olmo, she was a saint, but we don't know if he was as devoted in real life as he is in "memory". We don't know if she loved him at the beginning, at some point or not. She was young (30?) when she died so natural causes seem unlikely.

Diana

ACUERDAS

"integrity and benevolence.." are perfect descriptors for Faby RgvChick!

"Olmo...probably killed her with his jealousy and possesiveness...or maybe dying was her only way out". Ooohh, very insightful and entirely possible!

Diana

ACUERDAS

RgvChick, maybe Alberto should be sleeping with one eye 👁 open. I would not put it past Ivana to find some way to free herself from him.

EMBAJADOR

dondi356, thank you so much for your recaps. It's been a hectic week so far and I just caught up with the episodes for Monday and Tuesday.

Nina and Nett, when Sancar refers to Nare “being with Akin” I interpret it to mean that he believes that Nare and Akin were an item. But he should have questioned his assumption when Akin told him that Nare was with someone else. And why are men so quick to believe the worst of the woman they supposedly love?! Nina said it best, “He is just some kind of stupid.”

I’m at the “Bash Hellise” table. Where’s my rock?? And nopis, not a single tear for that witch! Her crying over Melek was totally unbelievable.

Nett, “Who's guessing that Meneske is anxious to start a family because she's already preggers.” OMG! That had not occurred to me!! Good point, but PLEASE NO! Just NO!

ACUERDAS

Jarifa, "I would not put it past Ivana to find some way to free herself from him [Alberto]" Ivana is so sure of herself and how she controls Alberto, so yes, when the time comes she'll just toss him like an old rag...or kill him.

EMBAJADOR

Hugo, "Why is Gediz running around in those ridiculous jackets? Somebody needs to call the fashion police lol .." ITA!! When he was walking at the airport and those jacket lapels were flapping, I could picture him with a long top hat and clown shoes!! LOL

Rgv Chick

Thank you for such a great recap. You guys are really giving us your all.

Embajador #27 part 1

Preparations are being made for the villagers’ visit to the Efeoglu mansion. Women are preparing food.

Elvan brings Halise home just in time to witness Menekse playing lady of the house.

The food was delicious, I don’t understand why you want them to make it again, Gulsiye says to Menekse. What, says Menekse, didn’t you hear me? Are you disobeying? You better not forget who is the wife and who is the maid. No excuses, you will prepare the food again. The guests will be here soon. The women preparing the food remain silent and frustrated.

Neither Elvan nor Halise are pleased at what they are witnessing. Probably for different reasons. Elvan comments to Halise, a town without wolves will be inundated by thugs. Obviously, the wolf is only interested in the bird. Halise isn’t interested in Elvan’s opinion. She asks Elvan to find an empty room and call Sancar. Find out when he is coming back. Elvan thinks Halise should have a talk with the “disrespectful one”. Halise nods and calls out, Menekse!

Menekse and Gulsiye hear her call from the kitchen. Gulsiye is happy, Menekse is worried. They run out. Suegra? Halise addresses Menekse, I’m going to say something I never told you before—I love how you season the food, so go help the others. Gulsiye needs you. Menekse is properly chastened and Gulsiye smiles and winks at Halise and Elvan.

At the olive grove office, Guven says, you told me you wanted my help to find my daughter, but your plan was to kidnap and torture me? No, it is not a kidnapping, Sancar says, you are here under your own free will. The police saw it. Gediz thinks Sancar should serve the man some tea but be careful. Sancar looks at Guven and says, if he tells the truth, he will avoid this. Guven claims there is no snitch.

Sancar picks up the teapot. Oooh, it’s very hot and it’s full. Sancar jokes that he is a bit clumsy. Sancar brings the pot over to Guven and flips the lid open. Guven quickly capitulates, it was Akin, he gave me the documents. Sancar puts the pot down. Why would Akin do that? Guven explains, when I was fired, I was furious and Akin helped me to find your weak spot. But how did he find that information, Sancar asks? Gediz thinks it’s obvious there is a snitch somewhere among them. Guven swears he doesn’t know, and he has no idea. [poor Gediz when he finds out it’s Muge]

Elvan calls Sancar. Halise is sitting with her. Did you find Melek and Nare? When are you coming back? Sancar is not in the mood for her questions. I will return when I find the ambassador’s daughter. So, Elvan says, you haven’t found anyone. When do you think you will find her? Sancar has no idea and he’s about to hang up on her. Elvan reminds him that he has Nare’s phone number, and he can start the search with that.

He thinks she means calling Nare. He’s tried that and her phone is off. That’s not what she means. There is an app that tracks the phone even if it is off. I do it with Yahya, she says, I can track all his movements. I see he’s at the grove now. You can find Nare that way. Elvan says she’s hanging up and asks Sancar to call as soon as he finds Nare. Elvan tells Halise, if she didn’t tell Sancar this, he would have died before finding Nare. Sancar always complicates things.

Gediz takes Guven’s phone and Sancar and Gediz go outside to speak with Yahya. Sancar asks him, is there an app that allows Elvan to track you? Yes, he replies. You knew? Why didn’t you tell us? Yahya says all the employees have the same app. He thought that Sancar and Gediz knew. Hmm..as the director, Nare has the app on her phone too, Gediz says. Yahya says that app is a nightmare for a married man. Gediz says he should delete it. Yahya puts the app on Sancar’s phone. The app tells him Nare is in Barcelona, Spain.

Embajador #27 part 2

Barcelona? She took my girl to Spain? Sancar sits and stares at the phone. He’s distraught. Are you ok, Gediz asks? Why did she do that? Why did she take my child, Sancar asks? I was sure she was pretending to go but my eyes don’t lie. Sancar asks Yahya to call Deniz and have her to book a flight to Barcelona. What if she threw away her phone, Yayha says, Barcelona is a big city. What else can I do, says Sancar, she took Melek and looking at Gediz, he says, she wrote a letter to him.

Barcelona: The man on line in front of Nare at the airport meets a woman at a café. You’re Nare’s friend? Yes, she is. He gives her Nare’s phone, she gives money and he leaves.

Flashback. Nare and Melek are in line at the airport. Melek bumps into the man. At Nare’s signal, Melek asks the man where are you going? Barcelona. Nare says hello and wonders if the man would like to make some cash—2000 euros. Is it legal, he asks? She shows him her passport and assures him that he can trust her. I need you to give this phone to a friend who is waiting in Barcelona. He hesitates and Nare offers him 3000. He says 5000 and it’s a deal. Nare will pay half now and her friend will pay the rest on delivery. She shows the man a pic of her friend, Isabel, and tells him Isabel’s number is in the phone. Nare and Melek leave the airport. Kavruk meets them and gives Nare a new phone!

Akin and Muge are at a café when she realizes there is money readily available. It’s the money they removed from the safe at the marina and left with Ayse and Dudu. She tells Akin, I don’t know how much it is, but it’s more than we need, my love! She gives him a big, happy hug.

Akin gets a call from Nare. Muge answers the phone, Nare where are you? But it’s not Nare, it’s Isabel on a video call. She speaks in English, hello do you know the owner of this phone? They left it behind. Muge doesn’t understand and asks Akin to translate. He takes the phone and asks, who are you, where are you? Barcelona. Isabel says there were some numbers in the phone, and this was one, so she called.

Akin thanks her and tells her to keep the phone and he will reach the phone’s owner. Akin asks Muge not to share this info with anyone. He doesn’t want anyone to think that he and Muge are together. I think she’s not comfortable with this, but she will do anything for her love. Akin says let’s go to the village and get the money.

Nare and Melek are walking outside among lots of trees. Are they olive trees? I don’t know where they exactly are. Isabel makes a video call to Nare. I got the phone and Akin took the bait. He thinks you are in Barcelona. I don’t know how to thank you, Nare tells her, you went from Switzerland to Barcelona for me. Isabel says, I would be willing to go to hell for you, my friend. Nare thanks her again. They trade I love yous, Melek, too.

Did we do it, Melek asks? It seems so my beautiful princess, answers Nare. So, it was Nare’s plan to trick Akin into leaving Turkey to chase her! Kavruk was in on it!

And speaking of Kavruk—he meets up with them. Melek is sitting up in a tree. Have you talked to my dad, she asks him? Yes, he went to the airport, made a scene and the police arrested him. Don’t worry he’s out now. Kavruk tells Nare that Melek looks just like her. He tells Melek her mom (?) also climbed the trees and read love letters. Really? Here in this place, she asks? Yes. This place is very special for your mom and dad. Their love is told in legend.

Kavruk, can you tell me the legend? When I ask my mother, she refuses. Kavruk gets her down from the tree. He points a distance, tells Melek to wait for him there and then he will tell her everything. Melek runs off. There’s nothing to tell the girl, Nare says. The bird never took off, it was destroyed. Kavruk says, but you find yourself with your feet on the ground at this moment. Nare, I won’t tell her about the past because it isn’t my duty. They go to Melek.

Embajador #27 part 3

Melek wants Kavruk to tell her everything that her mother won’t tell. Nare says, I will tell you in time you need to have patience, this story is not over, you will see. [hmmm…so the story is not over…] Kavruk starts, do you remember when you went to the wedding? Your mother dropped a shell and you picked it up? Melek remembers.

Kavruk tells the story, and we see it in flashbacks. Years ago, it was under the sea. It wasn’t a half it was whole. One day, your father took it and came up out of the sea and saw someone. A little girl as beautiful as a fairy. She was petting his horse. He was stunned. He didn’t know who she was or what she was doing there. The way she looked at him made him feel like the king of the world. Little Sancar asks, why are you staring at me? Melek interrupts the story, so he was grumpy then, too?

Kavruk and Nare laugh. Nare says, yes, he was always like that. Nare gets up and plays out the scene, saying, he came out of the sea like this. He looked at me and said—why are you looking at me! Can you believe it? At that time, I lived in Norway and there were no dark-haired children. That’s why I was surprised to see your father with his brown skin. I told him, you are darker than me. At my school everyone is blond. He answered all the boys in my town are like me. She hesitates and smiles, then he told me my skin looked like cotton. Nare says they were just silly kids. Nare breaks out of her reverie and says she’s cold and wants to go.

Kavruk finishes by saying, the birds flew together but love separated them and ended their lives. The ambassador’s daughter and the peasants’ son met when they were little and fell in love too early. Their love was immense, they loved each other too much. Melek listens intently and Nare just looks sad. Then they grew up and their love grew with them. they lived apart and missed each other. They wrote letters everyday and these trees heard their secrets. Here they confessed their love and when at last they were able to make their love a reality. Sancar met the world of the ambassador’s daughter and the ambassador’s daughter got to know the world of the peasant.

Sancar is sitting against a tree. He’s still staring at his phone. He thinks back to when he and Nare were little. He showed her how to gather the olives from the trees. He remembers sitting in a tree and reading Nare’s letters. The years pass and we see Sancar as a young man, sitting in a tree, reading her letter, and kissing her picture. And finally, he thinks about their commitment on the beach. Present day Sancar wipes the tears from his eyes and asks, why didn’t you write me a letter?

Gediz comes to Sancar and brings him the letter Nare wrote to him. Sancar snatches it away. He holds it and stares at it for a few seconds and then gives it back. [Maybe he is afraid to read it?] She wrote it to you, he says. And he gets up and walks away.

Sancar enters the office and asks Guven if Nare knows anyone in Barcelona. Guven says she knows many people all over the world. Did you forget what her father does? No, Sancar hasn’t forgotten. He tells Guven they have a flight to Barcelona tomorrow, Guven says, minutes ago you were going to torture me with hot water and now I am going to travel with you? Sancar says that was just to scare him. We are going to Barcelona, and my daughter will come back with me.

The dinner has started at the mansion. Music is playing. Ayse and Dudu arrive. Ayse tells Halise she always knew Mr. Gediz and Mr. Sancar were innocent. Congratulations. Halise thanks her. Ayse says, the ambassador slandered them, but his daughter saved the money. Halise asks how Ayse knows that Nare saved the money. Because the money is at my house. Oops… Dudu shoots Ayse a look. This is awkward. Elvan says we don’t have time to think about that money now, there are other things.

dondi356

Embajador #27 part 4

Halise wants to know where the money is now. Did they bring it? No, they planned to bring it, but Mrs. Refika asked me not to take it to you. She said her son would come for it tonight. Refika! Halise shouts to stop the music. She has something to say. Everyone stands, Halise has their attention. Elvan tries to stop her MIL. Halise insists that the people need to know who the honest family is.

Halise begins, luckily my son got out of prison and the mansion that was seized by a serious mistake is ours again. The family has returned home, and the spirit of our beloved grandfather can rest in peace once more. We got back what belongs to us. Nevertheless, we must not forget that it was taken from us. I want everyone to know that the one who tries to take what belongs to the Efeoglu family… Refika arrives and interrupts, and they will have to deal with us, too! Right my friend, she asks Halise.

Refika continues, we are two very close families. Together in the prosperity and poverty. Elvan calls for the music to start. The guests applaud. Refika reminds Halise if she speaks about the inheritance, she will speak about Necdet.

Atike shows up. what is my son doing in jail? Before anyone can answer Sancar pulls up in his truck! Elvan worries about an impending explosion. Atike demands an answer. Sancar shouts, mother! Everyone stands again. Ay, no, Halise says quietly to herself, please don’t humiliate me in front of all these people. [she would deserve it]

Sancar wants to know why Atike is at his house. Halise is relieved. Sancar turns to Atike, listen well, he’s in jail because he gave an order to attack a woman. So you have nothing to say, it’s better if you leave. If I don’t take you out by force, it’s only for your daughter Menekse. So don’t say anything and leave. Menekse likes this and even silently signals to her mom she should go. Atike turns and leaves totally shamed.

Sancar tells everyone to sit and enjoy the meal. Halise thanks Sancar. He tells her not to thank him. When the employees leave, the driver will take her back to the hotel. Ok, she says, fighting back tears.

Muge is ready to break into Ayse’s house. Akin stops her. My love, what are you doing, he asks? Are you planning to steal to help me? You are not that kind of person. She cries, I didn’t know what else to do. He tries to calm her, it’s okay, look, we are honest people. The slander hurts, but we can’t hurt anyone, we can’t steal, he says. She’s still crying, what are we going to do now? You need to go home and talk to Gediz. You will tell him from now on you will manage your own money. When Gediz transfers the money, we can fake the documents. But we will never steal, promise? He hugs her. [I can’t believe how stupid Muge is]

dondi356

Embajador #27 part 5

Refika arrives home in a taxi. Gediz and Muge are outside the house. Don’t go in yet she tells them. You and your sister must go get the money. Gediz doesn’t understand. Refika explains it to him. Gediz says he can’t help. Muge says she can’t go alone. Refika says that’s right, Muge shouldn’t go out alone in the middle of the night and Gediz shouldn’t go alone into a house where two single women live. Ha, Gediz congratulates his mother saying she discriminates against both genders.

Akin has broken into Ayse’s house with the forger. The money is hidden in a trunk, he says. They find the trunk and uncover the money. Get your payment, he tells the forger. The guy stuffs money in his bag. Akin stops him and says to share some of it.

Ayse and Dudu arrive home. Muge and Gediz show up for the money. He apologizes for showing up so late, but Ayse is relieved that they will finally get rid of the money. It’s been a burden. Muge tells Gediz not to enter the house with shoes.

Gediz removes the quilts from on top of the trunk. Dudu opens it and is shocked—impossible! The money is gone! It was there! How could it have disappeared, Muge asks. Someone stole it? Ayse explains they were at the Efeoglu mansion today. Dudu finds a note. It’s from the thief, she says. She gives the note to Gediz. He reads it and looks shocked.

And we are out.

"ACUERDAS":

Jarifa: I think Alberto will have an unfortunate "accident" or a so-called "health issue" (see Pope John Paul I in 1978).

Sorry I haven’t had much time to comment as I’ve been very busy with work, etc. I’m just happy to get a recap up.

The translations for this show have been confusing in spots. I think Turkish is difficult to translate into English and Spanish. I won’t get into it here.

Since there’s been confusion about what Sancar said to Gediz about Akin’s punishment and believing Nare, I went back to the original Turkish.

It was translated into English as this:

“Not because I believed, but because her name is used in the same sentence as his. If I believed, I would not let him live and I wouldn’t live either. “

So it seems he would have killed Akin and maybe would have killed himself, too. This is exactly what Nare was worried about.

Glad others agree that Gediz dresses funny. LOL, Rgv Chick, “I could picture him with a long top hat and clown shoes!!”

Acuerdas #43/44

Great work!

Olmo should be called Iron Man Caceres. How long was he in hospital? His injuries were extensive and very serious; is made it look like he was in and out over a four-day weekend. He probably has the same head injury as Henry VIII on top of all hat.

Vera's hell is just beginning. From here on she has to worry about anyone else knowing that Nico is Pedro's son. That is dangerous for all three of them... and Bingo.

Someone needs to get Candida out of there before Ivana finds out too much.

Do you guys remember Candida Beatrice Moreno, from Alborada. She drove me crazy in that role!

ACUERDAS

RgvChick lovely recap. Nobody is really free in this scenario. This family is pass dysfunctional. Let's see here: ok, theres the very very
Posessive sister from hell inlaw &
Theres the angry brother inlaw, the
Whacky daughter who crashed the coo
Coo's nest. And let's not forget the head housekeeper who said(this
Surprised me)"I wouldnt put my hand s in fire for vera". I thought she liked vera, but that does bring up the question is she(Delia)in loves
With Olmo? Now really what is the attraction? This man is crazy and it probly stems from childhood. And
He has ruined his kids childhood. Look at how batty marina is. She got daddy to let her marry her very
Own adopted brother. There's really something incestuous about that but they don't care.
And there is the bought and paid for incubator malida. What was ivana's sick reason for buying her nephew a baby maker anyways? Was it to make King olmo happy? That band
Of insane sicko dont need to infest
The world with no mo olmo's. That DNA should be blocked.

Jass is praying for forgiveness and
What else yeah to stop drinking? He
Needs to ask forgiveness for blood
Spilling. Faut was a nice guy and he was loved and respected, and jass just had to please his mean wicked Coldblooded heartless daddy.

I thought that Olmo saw pedro when
He drove up to the prison doors but
He didn't. Pedro looked so hungdog.
But he always looks like that, lol.

Nico was the only one to greet mommie. Really he's the only one she needed to greet her in that house of hell. I must Om looking at celia on awhole different light now
I like condida and I hope the best
Lawyer in the whole world can get her out of jail. Now yall we know the lawyer isn't all that but come on these people need some hope so let's just say for the sake of hope
That shes the best lawyer in the world. And leave it at that. Lol.

Thank you Rgvchick. You and the other recappers make it fun.

RVg Chick

thank you once again got the wonderful recap. I always felt that something was brewing between Marina and Andres. It will be interesting to see how this develops.

Lester

Acuerdas

Chickie. thank you for every detail.

Olmo bounced back quickly from the torture and loss of a limb . Now he is ready to take control of his famiky and Vera again.

I wonder wgat Fausto's next move will be . He looked pretty bad when he was fleeing the fire.

I hope the lawyer will be able to get Candida released. She rescued Vera....and i love the actress . I first saw her as Hipolita's loyal maid in Alborado .

Embajador

Dondi, thank you for another terrific recap of allthe twists and turns.

I find it hard to like Sancar. He is such an angry man . Gediz is more my type . He is a loyal friend, has a sense of humor, and doesnt fume, yell, and hit people.... Except Sancar when provoked. I like his calm levelheadedness. Those are qualities i am used to .

Meanie enjoyed those moments of feeling large and in charge .ha

EMBAJADOR

Dondi another block buster recap.
Thank you very much. You have an entertaining way of telling a good story. Thank you.

Poor sancar reading the letters in the trees of love. And then wonders why she didn't write him a letter now? Well would you write someone a letter that wants to put you in a house alone and only get to see you daughter 3 times a week and holiday
s and birthdays? Ya know I don't think he is aware of what he is ask
ing to give up. Cuz he's a jackass.

I love elvan. She may act dumb but the woman. Does yahya even know how lucky he is? Hell-lise thinks she's
Smarter than everybody. Send her pompous butt back to the hotel. I really wanted him to read that letter, Nate is very honest a bbn out her feelings about everything.
AMD butthead needs to know that cuz he thinks he knows her,and he still dont believe her. Lol, well he will be pist when he fines out he she's
Not in barcelona. Nut may be not so blank from ai saw in the preview of
Tonights episode.

Muge mugs mugs. I thought she was smarter than that. This man said all write things to her amd she just fell for it. She has a degree
In psycology and other stuff too. And she can't handle her own money.
How is she expected to help anyone
Else? This man is a genius. He know
How to get people to believe what ever he says. Hes an expert liar. He has been doing this since he was a child when guven adopted him. He believed whatever akin told him.

Now I qants to see what that note said. I hope he didn't lie on nare.
Tonights gonna be gooood.

Why don't gediz n sancar know about the search app? They should know of these things. They do bidness all over the world. They need nare to be working in that company. Even tio yahya knew about the app. Sancar you need to catch up.

Thank you RgvChicky.
