Diseñando tu amor- Capitulo 7 - Discussion Page
Yolanda Pratas is just.... epic. Actually, I wish this telenovela had come out 9 months ago. I adopted three kittens, you see. All three are black. One is blind, one has only a quarter of his tail, so his balance isn't the greatest if he needs to walk along narrow surfaces. The third is the female. She was separated from the rest so was brought to the shelter in Portugal feral but eventually reunited with her brothers and I adopted them all together but she is quite different from the rest. She is INCREDIBLY vocal and opinionated and sleeps on my lap, loves dogs, ALWAYS keeps her fur VERY silky and and shiny, has NO fear of anything, seems to possess little conscience (her brothers are very gentle) and even I am a little in awe of her, for she is a tiny little thing.
I wish this telenovela were to have been out a few months before. Because I absolutely would have named this kitten "Yolanda"...
Anyway...
I was really hoping to go back to Nicaragua once Portugal went to pot once the Brits infected it with their new strain of Covid (it's funny.... they wanted out of the EU so badly, but they sure wanted to travel before they left, and so graciously left their new strain with us as parting gift before they left!!!! lol) But, my God... try getting to Nicaragua from ANYWHERE in Europe! It's easier to get to PLUTO, I think! lol
Anyway, nice to hear from you, and welcome to the patio! I hope you (and, hell... WE ALL) enjoy this little story. Portugal struck gold with two REALLY GOOD novelas two years in a row- this one, and "Laços de Sangue" (and.... I CAN'T.... UNDERSTAND.... WHY... that story hasn't been done yet. Ditto the Argentine 'Malparida'). And I am REALLY happy to have new actors get a chance to shine (as opposed to Victoria Ruffo in trencitas and Fernando Colunga with 20 pounds of face makeup caked on him), actors 'de Reparto' being given the chance to First Actors, as they deserve, and... it's a really GOOD story.
So, we will see.
I hope you are well, amiga! Pull up a chair!! And write me anytime, okay?? How are you, anyway??? :-)
Was anybody else, like... UH OH!!! When they realized that (rich) Guillermo suffered from 'chest pains'??? :-(
I'm wondering if we should set up one of those 'football pool' type things... we could each bet a buck and pick a Capitulo as to when Guillermo's gonna keel over. :-( And everybody Vimeo's their buck to the winner.... lol
Hey! We could go even further than that! We could do one of those 'Super Bowl/Vegas' type things.... we could try and PREDICT if someone is gonna try and BUMP OFF Guillermo beforehand!
Like-
"Patricia - Withholds medication"
"Ricardo - Pillow over face"
"Leonardo - Swaps heart pills for jellybeans"
If anyone will go out on a limb and predict that Guillermo gets murdered, and is CORRECT, I will personally Vimeo that person $50.00. Okay gang???
(Don't get too excited, though. Remember, I'm Canadian, so that's $50.00 Canadian... but still, it's SOMETHING, okay???) :-)
I hope you all are enjoying this little show thus far, gang! (Hell, I hope people are even READING these!!! There are no serial killer Aunts in it, which is a minus for me, but I'm liking it thus far. :-)
Steve Boudreaux... are you in for this ride??? :-)
Hello everyone,
I just finished watching episode nine but unfortunately won't be able to do the recap. Helena is being slandered all over the internet. Yolanda's team was able to manipulate the video of her visit to make it look like she was trying to steal designs. Valentina is in a really tough spot because she doesn't want to go along with a blatant lie, but to betray Yolanda would be a career ender. I think she's considering giving back The advance money that Yolanda has given her. Helena better be very careful how she counters Yolanda's scheme. She could reveal the truth that her designs were actually stolen by Yolanda when she was her apprentice but without evidence, she would be subject to some very cosly litigation. There is a coincidence that takes place that could put Helena in even more hot water. Valentina comes up with a killer concept for Yolanda's upcoming show. It will revolve around "Dignidad". Totally independently, Helena goes through concepts for her show such as "Honestidad" as well as others and finally settles on, you guessed it, "Dignidad" (Not good)
Ricardo battles his memory loss, Camila gets horribly violated by a camera toting Papazzi, and Leonardo reveals himself as a total scoundrel. He even drugs a glass of wine that he offers to Helena, who, if I saw correctly, sniffs it and promptly passes out. I don't think she even took a sip of it. If someone can provide the details, there were a lot of interesting scenes. Sorry again for lack of a recap. I'll try to be back next week.
I say this because it's 5:40 AM in Turkey... God knows WHEN, (or IF) I will be able to access the episode... and i think you did a GREAT job!
Thank you so much for commenting, and see you on the patio!
Take care.
With best wishes,
Stevey :-)
I'll get caught up this weekend.
