Thanks, Urban, for going back and checking on Patricio's murder victim for us. You're probably right that he was just one of many. And Leo wants so badly to be a chip off the old block that he's not slowing down, either.
 

ECDLP #33

- Lucia frantically tries waking up Alonso. She asks a couple walking by to call an ambulance. Trini comes out and sees the scene.
- Amador tells Brigida and Rodrigo that Alonso agreed to the wedding between R and Nora and it will be simple and intimate.
- Rebeca goes to see Mario. She runs into Ligia and asks her what she sees in Amador. Ligia tells her that Mario is about to leave the office.
- Rebeca barges into Mario’s office and asks him for legal counsel as Alonso wishes to divorce her. He says he can’t attend to her now.
- Brigida visits Nora to take her baby gift. Nora doesn’t want to accept it.
- Alonso is rushed into the ER. Lucia cries and is worried Alonso will die. Magdalena arrives and Lucia blames herself for what happened
- Marcelo tells Nazario that he told Alonso about Lucia leaving town. Trini calls the factory and tells Nazario what happened. Marcelo accompanies him to the hospital. Naz warns Lalo not to say anything.
- Leti asks Sergio why Rodrigo isn’t working at the law firm anymore. Sergio seems conflicted about telling her about the Rodrigo/Nora situation.
- Mario arrives at the factory to see Alonso but he’s obviously not there. Amador asks him why he’s there.
- Nazario and Marcelo arrive at the hospital. Lucia agrees to go outside with Marcelo to get some fresh air.
- Milagros thinks Alonso will help her convince Marcelo to return to Mexico City.
- Leti goes to Casa Gaxiola looking for Lucia. She asks Tere if Nora is home and says she’ll go say hi to her.
- Marcelo wonders why Lucia blames herself for things. Marcelo tells her that his dad died when he was young.
- Marcelo almost mentions Federico to Lucia.
- Nora finds Leti in her bedroom. Leti defends Lucia now knowing about Nora’s pregnancy. Rebeca defends Nora.
- Daniela calls Milagros to tell her that she’s in NY but will return to Mexico City soon. Milagros wants to talk to her first in person before Daniela plans to see Marcelo.
- Sara tells everyone that Alonso suffered a heart attack.
- Lucia is allowed to see Alonso in the ICU while Marcelo takes Magdalena to Casa Gaxiola so she can inform Rebeca and Nora.
- Ligia hires a locksmith to open Mario’s locked drawer claiming she lost the key. She finds the file about Alonso and Amador’s partnership.
- Rebeca thinks Magdalena has come to bother her. Magdalena manages to tell her about Alonso. Rebeca freaks out about not being the first to know everything. She goes to fetch Nora.
- Marcelo notes that Magdalena and Rebeca don’t seem to get along. He asks her about Adriana and what she was like. He thinks it’s strange that Alonso married his first wife’s sister.
- Nora thinks it’s her fault what happened to her dad. She doesn’t want to go to the hospital.
- Rodrigo tells Sergio about having to marry Nora. He still wants to be friends with Sergio despite knowing he hurt him. Sergio says he won’t go to the wedding.
- Lucia doesn’t want to leave the hospital for any reason. Lucia asks Magdalena about Marcelo.
- Rafaela tells Marcelo about her conversation with Milagros. They’ll return to the city the next day.
- Milagros tells Marcelo that she wants to do something with Federico’s ashes. He tells her that Alonso had a heart attack.
- Rebeca and Nora arrive at the hospital. Magdalena tells Nora to be strong.
- Rebeca is in Alonso’s room. She doesn’t want him to abandon her otherwise she’ll kill him. Alonso flatlines and Magdalena comes in and asks Rebeca what she did.

Urban, thanks for finding the murder victim that haunts Leo's nightmare of his father.

Also for more enlightening details. Your observation about the pearl necklace never seeing any regular wear sounds correct. Min would probably feel it choking her if she ever wore it.

You're also correct in calling Patricio a feudal ruler.

BTW, doesn't Art look older than he did in the early episodes? And it's been less than a year since Don Patricio died.

"MEPS" Episode 133:

481.) Picking from the face-to-face confrontation between Franco & Psycho Barbara, we see her threatening Franco that if he doesn't keep quiet about the existence of Artemio Bravo, both Liliana & Redhead will meet a deadly end.

482.) In the meantime the Giggling Girls (Dolly & Clingy Erika) are picking out the church venue for where the supposed wedding of Franco & Clingy Erika will be taking place. They're told that Clingy Erika will need to get the baptismal records of Franco Santorro (UH-OH Franco/Eduardo!)

483.) Back at Grupo Lactos: Redhead interrupts the threatening intimidation threats from Psycho Barbara to Franco. When asked what does she want, Redhead lies that Daddy Elizalde wants to speak with Psycho Barbara; Franco also lies & says he's there to speak with Redhead & before heading over to Daddy Elizalde's office, Psycho Barbara once again threatens Franco to keep his mouth shut.

484.) Realizing she's been lied to by her Stepdaughter, Psycho Barbara is notified by Daddy Elizalde that he's made several changes to his last will & testament. Hmm: what could possibly go wrong ?

485.) Back to Redhead & Franco: he explains to her that he saw Liliana at an undisclosed location & informs her that he managed to finish all but a few pages of Ana Gregoria's diary. He know understands more about why Artemio hates the Elizalde's. (Dude: both you & Artemio are alot alike than you realize).

486.) In some other part of Grupo Lactos: Jackass #1 Anibal tells his annoyed & estranged wife, Priscila that Daddy Elizalde gave 60% of the family fortune to Psycho Barbara & the remaining 40% to that "bastard kid" (whom Jackass #1 Anibal refers to) Priscila is carrying. OMG: Dona Altagracia & Buji Montserrat are so damn proud of your evilness Jackass #1 Anibal Elizalde.

487.) While that's going on, Franco gives Redhead the TMZ scoop on how Dona Altagracia took advantage of the situation many years ago by kicking Ana Gregoria out of the Elizalde Mansion grounds, etc.,

488.) Over at the reception room: Stupid Florecita warns Nagging Gardenia to stay put at the desk until further notice. Yeah right, like that never stopped Nagging Gardenia from GOSSIPING!

489.) Psycho Barbara goes full hardcore badass barking at Stupid Florecita & giving her the third degree about why she wasn't at the reception desk working & where was Franco Santorro. These intimidation tactics & threats seem to be hilarious.

490.) Nagging Gardenia shoots daggers at Franco, who shoots daggers back at her. I am telling y'all watching this EPIC Telenovela Nagging Gardenia is going to blow up Franco/Eduardo's revenge mission & expose him as Eduardo Juarez sooner or later.

491.) Inside his office, Jackass #1 Anibal mentally plotting & scheming on how to get rid of loose ends: Mooching Damian & Creepy Vlad. Good luck with that buddy!

492.) Stupid Florecita is annoyed that her GOSSIP cousin is going to rat out Franco as Eduardo Juarez & put EVERYONE in serious danger of getting whacked. Televisa should've had "Gossip Girl DF Edition" starring Nagging Gardenia & Stupid Florecita LOL.

493.) During a heated argument with Daddy Elizalde inside his office, he pulls a Redd Foxx & is on the verge of having the Big One (Go ahead DAFFY DUCK!).
 

QT #86, Part 1 of 3

Val & Mags chew over the backstory. Val asks if Leo threatened Mags and seems to believe her when she says yes.

Mat grouses at Don Pat's photo.

Leo thunders into his study, tosses back two shots that Minerva apparently overlooked, and conjures up Blue Pat, who actually is no longer blue and is now capable of following Leo everywhere -- including, he says, into bed (let's hope we don't have to see THAT.) He calls Leo a dud loser weenie-boy who can't hang onto a woman. (Is that a STUFFED GOOSE hanging from the ceiling? Oh, never mind.)

Mat tells Sandi about Esme, and her response is to flowchart the inheritance based on this new information. He notices again that she's not very nice and tells her the marriage isn't really working for him. She tells him it better start working for him, or he'll never see his child.

Mags tells Dalia her own Mom is still alive and living in a care home, which she pays for.
 

QT #86, Part 2 of 3

Val confronts Leo about the fake Mom thing, and he continues to throw poor absent Remy under the bus. She hands him back his ring while no-longer-blue Patricio smirks over his shoulder. "But what about the election?" He and Sandi really deserve each other.

Val & Mat chat under the midnight oaks about their Mom issues. Dalia overhears their voices from her bedroom and looks disapproving.

Leo has a nightmare in which all the other characters sit around a big table and say mean things to him while he changes from a man into a little boy. It's pretty cool.

Carlo & Esme chat over morning coffee at the pension. He urges her to reconcile with Dalia.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Dalia tries to convince Val to go easy on Mags -- she's had a hard life. Val says she's had a pretty hard life, too, like when her aunt tried to rent her out when she was 15. Dalia asks her to leave Mat alone, and the conversation finishes coldly.
 

QT #86, Part 3 of 3

Leo lawyers up and refuses to tell Basurto anything about Mags or Remy.

Art taunts Vicente in the jail.

Sab overhears Leo telling Sandi that he and Val broke up and looks thoughtful. Sandi harangues him to man up and get her back or she'll be all over Mat in no time.
 

"MEPS" Episode 134:

494.) Picking up where we left off, Psycho Barbara still determined to get Gullible Aurora out of Colegio Buena Esperanza & finish off Artemio Bravo once & for all.

495.) We also left off the heated argument between Daddy Elizalde & Redhead, where Daddy Elizalde got aggressive in grabbing & shaking her like a ragdoll. This fool still think Psycho Barbara is motherly ? OMG. Plus we also saw him pulling a Redd Foxx nagging about The Big One.

496.) Following this back & forth, Redhead announces her resignation from Grupo Lactos.

497.) We also got a scene between Redhead & Gloomy & Dumbass Santiago during their conversation on the phone about the following: Franco Santorro, her plans to marry him IF he breaks up with Clingy Erika. I rolled my eyes when the conversation turned to Gullible Aurora OMG.

498.) Las Animas: Steve, Jr., & Franco were having a private conversation when Clingy Erika (who was uninvited by the way) BARGED INTO THE DAMN HOUSE OMG! Does this girl categorically identify herself as a stalker ?

499.) More of Clingy Erika's hyper-active & special diet of giggling, spouting off about the wedding plans, flowers, invitations, etc., including Glamour Magazine LOL.

500.) The conversation turns to the birth certificate: which Clingy Erika snatched it right away with a creepy & huge grin OMG. Plus she even asks for the baptismal certificate too: Franco/Eduardo: your revenge mission is going to blow up in your face dude.

501.) We also got to endure the flashback of Padre Bosco begging Franco/Eduardo from way back. The decision to meet with Padre Bosco is tomorrow. What could possibly go wrong because Clingy Erika will start asking probing, pestering questions.

502.) Somewhere in Grupo Lactos parking garage: Insult-fest-a-thon between Mooching Damian & Jackass #1 Anibal occurs.

503.) It's revealed by Jackass #1 Anibal that he wants Mooching Damian to find one of those specialists to exterminate Creepy Vlad; he's also enraged that the "uppity bastard" Priscila is carrying will inherit the Elizalde millions $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

504.) Mooching Damian STUPIDLY takes the $$$ for eliminating Creepy Vlad (y'all know he's NOT going to whack his crazy kid brother). Jackass #1 Anibal will eventually cook up a scheme to get you put in prison & whacked.

505.) In the meantime around the ocean preview, Redhead dreams of being in the arms of Franco/Eduardo (we all know Redhead & Eduardo are going to be end-game with 26 episodes left in this epic Telenovela).

506.) Martina & Venus/Lovely making plans to go shopping for the upcoming engagement party. We all know that so-called engagement party will be INTRIGUING!

ECDLP #34

- A doctor and nurse get Rebeca and Magdalena out of the room while they attempt to stabilize Alonso.
- Part of this scene was cut: Leti remembers Rebeca’s words that Leti doesn’t even know who her father is (I did not include this detail in the previous recap). She pretends to be asleep when Sara enters her room. Sara gets a call from the hospital.
- Magdalena tells Lucia that Alonso had a setback. Lucia and Nora cry.
- Ligia tells Amador about finding paperwork regarding his partnership with Alonso. Amador figures Alonso is planning to end their partnership and needs to do something to prevent it.
- Ligia says she’s tired of hiding and wants to be with Amador. He doesn’t care and leaves her apartment.
- Sara tells everyone that Alonso is stable. Lucia and Rebeca want to stay at the hospital.
- Magdalena offers to accompany Nora home. Outside, Nora asks Magdalena to stay with her overnight at the house. She apologizes for being a bad niece and doesn’t want to be alone. Magdalena relents.
- The next day Marcelo arrives at the hospital early and offers to take Lucia to Casa Treviño so she can rest and shower.
- Sara tells Leti about Alonso. Leti says she’s been looking everywhere for a job and even asked Sergio to help her. Sara doesn’t like that Leti is friendly with Nora’s ex boyfriend.
- Sergio tries to get Mario to hire Leti but Mario is skeptical.
- Marcelo asks Lucia if she’s still planning to leave town. She says no.
- Marcelo says he understands what it’s like to feel some sort of betrayal by a sibling. He says he had a brother who committed suicide so he decided to come to Puebla with a purpose. One day he’ll tell her more about it.
- Normita tells Amador about Alonso being in the hospital. Amador wants her to round up all the employees for a meeting.
- Amador calls Rodrigo to tell him about Alonso and that the wedding will be postponed. He’s about to tell him something else as the scene ends.
- Ligia calls Casa Zúñiga anonymously and tells Brigida that Amador is cheating on her. Brigida doesn’t want to believe her.
- Amador tells everyone at the factory that Alonso is indisposed and that he will take the reins of the company for the time being.
- Marcelo, Nazario and Lalo is worried about Amador being in charge. Marcelo tells Lalo that Amador shouldn’t know that they hired Vinicio.
- Lucia and Leti talk about Nora’s betrayal and Alonso’s health. Lucia says Marcelo has been nice to her
- Rebeca returns home. Nora doesn’t want to go back to the hospital. They talk about Lucia and Marcelo. Nora is happy the wedding will be postponed.
- Brigida confronts Amador in the factory lobby. He drags her to his office. He denies cheating on her. She says that if she finds out it’s true he will regret it.
- Marcelo calls his mom but Rafaela realizes she isn’t home. Meanwhile Milagros is picking up Daniela at the airport. They plan to prevent Marcelo from dating someone else.
- Lucia and Trini take flowers to Adriana’s grave. Lucia asks her not to take Alonso from her yet.
- Marcelo finds Rodrigo in his office. Marcelo thinks it’s suspicious that Rodrigo is there when Alonso isn’t. Rodrigo feels uncomfortable being at the factory. He doesn’t want to work there again.
- Amador tells Rodrigo that Alonso plans to end their business partnership.
- Gloria takes Nora a wedding gift. Gloria begins to mock her for having to marry Rodrigo, being pregnant with his baby and also the fact that Lucia hates her.
- Magdalena tells Lucia and Trini that Alonso is slowly getting better. Lucia goes to see him in the ICU. Alonso wakes up a little and tries to talk.
- Rebeca goes to Nora’s room and finds her unconscious with her wrists slashed.
 

ECDLP #32-33

I finally figured out Brigida's preference for Nora: She wants to get on Rebecca's good side and favoring Lucia would accomplish the exact opposite.

She and Amador are vultures.

So is Milagros. She and Daniela don't give a flying damn about Marcelo's happiness. Both are determined to drag him down.

I thought Ligia was much smarter than Brigida, but now I think she is just as stupid. Amador is a serious loser and abuser.
 

QT #86

Thanks, Blue Lass. My favorite: [Patricio] is now capable of following Leo everywhere -- including, he says, into bed (let's hope we don't have to see THAT.) All the Viagra in the world wouldn't be able to fix that trauma.

Is there is any meaning in Leo's delusions no longer being in blue? The boy Leo in the nightmare was the same kid in the FB in episode 12.

It becomes more obvious with every appearance he makes that Don Patricio didn't deserve to be a father. He was incapable of having normal human relationships of any kind.

I want Matt to have a long talk with his lawyer ASAP. He needs o get away from ha nasy little golddigger.
 

QT #87 Part 1 of 3

Sabina eavesdropped on Leo and Sandy who was saying that breaking up with Valeria was releasing her to pursue Mateo.

Artemio marked his territory in front of Vicente by kissing Luisa, showing off the ring, putting it on her, and inviting him to the wedding that she clearly didn't want.

Matt told Carlo about his fight with his ball and chain, explaining that Sandy was obsessed with his theoretical inheritance. Also about the threat Sandy made of not allowing him access to his child if he left her. Carlo said he would be there for hi if he needed to talk,.. either as a friend or a father (if things went a certain way with Esme).

Eva talked with Chacho about Berenice. She has no confidence that Berenice could be independent in the Sin City that is the DF. She wants Berenice to marry Chacho. She wanted to help, hoping tha this would make this alright with Art.

Vicente was released but upset that Luisa's marital imprisonment was the price tag. She told him she had a plan. Cipriano was watching them from across the street while talking on the phone with Art. They had put spy cameras in Vicente's abode.

Corina and Angelita were preparing beans for cooking when Ange asked her if she had a novio. This looks like a matchmaking scheme concocted by Ange and Tito, who was outside talking to Lorenzo.

Art visited Eva ostensibly to discuss Berenice, but Luisa became the topic due to recent gossip. Art explained his intention to marry Luisa as soon as Eva signed the divorce papers and the revised property settlement. She refused. He reminded her that he had delivered on their booty call. He said “If you don't comply you will really know me.” Her facial expression said she was unimpressed at this threat.

Esmeralda waited for Matt in the café. She had the envelope from Aaron with the medical records of Matt's birth. She hugged him when he arrived. She also handed him Aaron's letter.

Lorenzo and Tito arrived in the kitchen while Corina was cooking the beans. Lorenzo started bugging her about adding salt. She told him “That makes them hard!” and he became irritating.

Matt opened the envelope. It had his original birth certificate showing tha he was alive and healthy. She had no explanation about why Aaron had lied about this. Matt was trying to understand it.

Minnie went to see Victor about the murder of Eliseo Roldán which had happened 17 years previously. He asked about her interest in the case but she was not willing to explain. She did offer dinero but he told her that was not necessary to get him to do his job. He said he would check the archives and get back to her. She thanked him and left.

 

QT #87 Part 2 of 3

Esme explained she had had eclampsia and was knocked out for a C-section. Flashback to Patricio and Aaron talking about the baby switch in the presence of the unconscious Esme. Aaron did not want to do this. Esme told Matt everything as Aaron had explained it to her. Matt asked why Aaron's letter implicated Don Patricio in the fire. Esme did not know. Matt drank a shot and left to find Aaron.

Ange read Tirso's letter to Corina who said she'd make chiles relleños to bring to him. Ange told her that her mum would be furious if she knew about the letters. Corina went back to the kitchen and Ange wrote back to Tirso.

Tirso was looking better in clean workout clothes. His hair even looked darker as he sort-of flirted with a female patient.

Berenice spoke before the rest of the others about herself and her situation. She is ready for independence from her parents.

Matt drove to Santa Rita thinking about Dalia and then about Don Patricio and his disapproval of Leo's life choices. It was the same flashback about the horse breeding plan, then the bar incident when Leo tried to “put you in your place.”

Aaron made his bed and put liquor bottles in the trash. Except for the last one.

Cleo praised Berenice's presentation, saying that Avon wanted more women like her [Wait, isn't she Val's secretary vs being an Avon Lady?] Berenice felt very motivated. Cleo introduced her to Alberto Mirellas, who leads a New Business division. He was very impressed with Berenice, saying she had good persuasive powers. She was a little flattered.

Leo fiddled with the engagement ring as he leaned over his desk, his head on the closed laptop. When he let go of the ring Don Patricio appeared and picked it up. No blue haze this time. He began gaslighting Leo about seeking his approval. He hounded him about being other people's puppet. Leo looked up and said “I am not you.” Don Patricio reminded him that people's coices trembled when they addressed him as “Don.” Leo said he didn't want to be like him. Don Patricio told him he could not deny his own nature and that he had to take his place as a Montes. “A Montes doesn't ask. A Montes never cries. A Montes takes what he wants,” etc. ad nauseum. He then disappeared.

Berenice confessed to being nervous before this. Alberto said she embodied the company spirit. She dropped something as they shook hands. Both bent down to pick it up. Alberto was about to leave. He kissed Berenice on the cheek just as Chacho entered with a bouquet of flowers.

Val and Padre G talked in front of the center. Things were going well. She told him she had to go back to the ranch to get a horse so she could go to see Surem.. She explained who he was and assured Padre G she knew the area.

 

QT #87 Part 3 of 3

Matt arrived at Aaron's hotel room and knocked. No answer. The room looked neat. One nearly-full bottle of tequila was on the desk, Aaron's bag sat on the window sill. Matt continued knocking and finally forced the door open. He heard the water running as he found the note. He hen found Aaron under the running shower, his wrists slit. He turned it off, bound Aaron's wrists with towels before pulling him out of the shower. He was still alive. Matt called emergency services.

Chacho made a very embarrassing display of jealousy which caused Berenice to leave the room.

Justino told Val the horse was ready. She called Matt whose phone was on the bathroom floor of Aaron's hotel. She left a voice mail. Corina came in, telling her that Tito was sick. She then told Justino she would go the next day. She started to call a doctor as she left the room with Corina.

Art hung around the café. She served him a beer and told him her hours would have to change because of the literacy instruction. He was not happy about this. She had recorded the conversation to send to Vicente.

Justino returned a horse to the stable. Leo asked where Val was. He said she was to have one out on La Chula bu ended up taking care of Tito. He asked about Matt but Justino had not seen him. Then he told Leo that Val was going to see Surem who had rescued her after the copter crash.

Leo returned to the study. Sab came in and he asked her if she knew anything about Surem. She did not, but segued into coming on to him while saying that Val wasn't enough woman for him. He asked her what she wanted from him. Don Patricio appeared behind her, wearing a cattleman's hat and playing with his riding crop. Sab's attempt at seduction only provoked accusations from Leo about her coming on to Carlo. He started backing her away. She began protesting. Leo argued back and became insulting, finally telling her that her body was all she had to offer. She slapped him. Don Patricio slapped his crop into his hand and Leo backhanded Sab harder than she had hit him. “You will never be the lady of this house. You lost that opportunity when you boinked my father. If you think Val will cancel our wedding you can keep waiting. I will not allow it.” Sab shoved him back and left the room. Don Patricio gave Leo a nod of approval.Leo looked back in acceptance.
 

"ECDLP" Episode 34:

TF: Thank you very much for your hardworking efforts in this recap. I'm assuming Alonso is having The Big One heart attack scare ?

UA: I agree with everything you said. Your assessment of Brigida and Rebeca’s friendship (if you can actually call it that) makes total sense. And Ligia is 100% wasting her time not only trying to have a relationship with Amador but also enjoying trying to betray him. She’s sure to get herself in BIG trouble.

Great recap, Urban! Artemio & Leo, both trying to dominate their women. It's not going to work in the end.

Of course, now that Surem's name was mentioned, Leo will find a way to keep Val from seeing him. Or, he will send Servando up the mountain to do whatever damage he can.

Artemio is making me sick. Women are only props to him. I am also still baffled as o how Luisa is illiterate in this day and age. These numbers are not very recent, but they are interesting, especially in view of these more recent numbers.

We can't leave Chacho out for criticism. Was he intentionally trying to sabotage Berenice's possible new career?

Since we have 35 episodes left we know something will delay Val's light bulb moment. I just hope Remi survives. I've had a feeling for a long time hat he, Valeria, Mateo, and Berenice are meant to be agents of change in this area.

Urban, my theory is that Patricio is no longer blue because Leo is now incapable of telling the difference between fantasy and reality. Should get wild.

Thanks for the recap, Urban! I feel ready to tackle today. I sometimes skip Tuesday because I work nights, but there are too many delicious descriptions, so I think I'll have to watch.

It just occurred to me that maybe Patricio was so nasty to Leo because he suspected he wasn't his father...?
 

QT #87

That would be a cruel trick on the audience, although with all the DNA tests happening in this story it would not be that much of a surprise to seasoned viewers like us.

Mateo deserves to inherit this property although I have the feeling he will choose to convert it into an orphanage run by him, Valeria, Berenice, Dalia, Magdalena, Corina, Remi, and Padre G. If Aaron survives (mentally as well as physically) he will be the physician on call. Mateo could continue breeding beautiful equines and teach kids how to care for animals, Berenice will teach the younger kids as she already does, Remi could probably teach foreign language (I recall him saying a few words of French in some past episode) and culture, Eva can drop in to teach sewing, etc.

It does seem that Leo is now getting further and further away from reality. He did not enjoy life on the ranch, he was afraid of his father as a child, and now he is becoming his father. His mother doesn't even see this.

And.... with all this DNA testing when are we going to find the DNA donors of Tito and Lorenzo? I will be very annoyed with the writers if they leave that as a loose thread.

Oh, I don't think Leo is actually illegitimate, just that Patricio might have thought he was with Minnie running around with Carlo's Dad and all. Leo matched on Mat for the DNA test, so they have to have at least one parent in common.
 

ECDLP #35

- Rebeca freaks out when she realizes what Nora has done. She makes two tourniquets with a scarf.
- Rebeca can’t give emergency services the address so instead she decides to take Nora to the hospital herself.
- Nazario and Marcelo think Amador is up to something by naming himself in charge of the factory temporarily.
- Amador arrives briefly at the hospital and asks about Alonso.
- Sergio tells Leti that Mario agreed to give her a job interview. Sara kicks Sergio out of her house. Leti tells Sara that Nora’s baby is Rodrigo’s not Sergio’s. Sara gets a call from the hospital likely about Nora.
- Nora is freaking out as she’s wheeled into the ER. Magdalena sees Rebeca in the waiting room covered in blood. Rebeca tells her that Nora tried to commit suicide.
- Lucia calls Marcelo at the factory and gives him an update on Alonso’s condition and asks him if he’ll come to the hospital. Magdalena tells Lucia about Nora.
- Rodrigo sees Brigida crying and she tells him about his dad cheating on her. Rodrigo has no idea who the other woman could be. Rodrigo gets a phone call and leaves.
- Amador slaps Ligia for calling Brigida. She tries to deny it at first but Amador isn’t fooled. He tells her that their relationship is over.
- Sara says that Nora is fine and recovering. She tells Lucia that clearly Nora needs psychological help.
- Rodrigo arrives at the hospital at Lucia’s request. She tells him that Nora and his baby are fine. He tries to apologize to her again. Lucia says she doesn’t care about him anymore and is developing feelings for Marcelo. Marcelo hears everything.
- Lucia confirms to Marcelo how she feels about him when he questions her sincerity. Rodrigo thinks Lucia is lying. Lucia encourages him to go see Nora.
- Marcelo asks Lucia how she is doing and asks what happened to Nora.
- Leti arrives for her interview with Mario but he’s not in the office yet. He arrives minutes later.
- Lucia tells Marcelo that Nora has always been unbalanced. He asks her again if what she told Rodrigo is true. She says yes and they kiss.
- Marcelo returns to the factory but offers to pick up Lucia from the hospital later.
- Mario asks Leti if she’s truly interested in working. He’ll give her a trial run and see how she does. Leti gives Sergio the good news.
- Leti wonders if Sergio is still upset about Nora dumping him. She tells him about Alonso being in the hospital.
- Given what’s going on with Alonso and Nora, Magdalena encourages Rebeca to change her attitude. Magdalena warns her not to agitate Alonso by telling him about Nora.
- Alonso wakes up and asks Rebeca how long he’s been there and where Lucia is. Rebeca is upset that he doesn’t ask about Nora before he falls asleep again
- Amador sees Vinicio at the factory. He tries to play boss in front of Marcelo saying Vinicio can’t work there but Marcelo tells him that Alonso himself hired Vinicio, Amador warns Marcelo not to mess with him.
- Lucia goes to Nora’s hospital room. Lucia says that despite everything Nora is still her sister and she doesn’t wish ill on her. Nora doesn’t think Alonso cares about her. Rebeca kicks Lucia out of the room. Rebeca blames her for what Nora did and for Alonso despising Nora.
- Nazario tells Magdalena that Marcelo is pursuing Lucia.
- Marcelo picks up Lucia. Lucia thinks Rebeca is right about what she said.
- Marcelo invites Lucia to the apartment. He tells her his mom isn’t there.
- Sara apologizes to Leti for treating Sergio badly. She says that she hates irresponsible men like Leti’s father. Leti tells Sara that Mario hired her for a job.
- Lucia has bad memories of the apartment but agrees to go in. Suddenly Daniela comes out in a bathrobe and kisses Marcelo in front of Lucia.

 

"MEPS" Episode 135 (Part XXXX)
507.) Mooching Damian & Cousin Jacobo plotting to spring Gullible Aurora out of the convent.

508.) Over at the restaraunt in Mexico City Suburbs, Franco & Redhead drinking coffee & discussing Psycho Barbara's evil plots & schemes.

509.) When Redhead has reservations, Franco strongly gives it to Redhead on the options: Refuse to give EVIL StepMommy the $$$$$$ & lose Liliana forever OR give EVIL StepMommy everything (including the Elizalde fortune) & Liliana is returned safe & sound.

510.) During this meeting, Franco thinks Psycho Barbara has ulterior, secretive motives & likely has a weakness (Gullible Aurora).

511.) In the meantime, Gossip Girls (so-called "friends" of Clingy Erika) show up to see what Franco & Redhead are doing.

512.) As Redhead was explaining to Franco about her decision on whether to quit Grupo Lactos, Franco's phone rings: it's Clingy Erika on the line. He gives some lame excuse about being at the US Embassy in Mexico City.

513.) The Gossip Girls are listening in & plotting to track down Franco's supposed location at the US Embassy in Mexico City.

514.) Meanwhile at Grupo Lactos: Psycho Barbara reminds Jackass #2 Camilo that everything she's doing in regards to the so-called engagement party with Lovely Norton is for his own good.

515.) Meanwhile Venus is stubbornly refusing to give Martina the scoop on what she's got planned for Jackass #2 Camilo; Martina is rightfully convinced this plan of Venus' will blow up in her face.

516.) Redhead is given the pen of her late grandfather Don Jeronimo Elizalde in order to write more thoughts on the diary of Ana Gregoria's; she also has a personal obligation to right the wrong....her late beloved nana Soledad Cruz. Franco gets choked up & politely leaves for a restroom break.

517.) Back at Grupo Lactos: Jackass #2 Camilo bragging to Psycho Barbara abouy his aggressive womanizing: Fast Forward!

518.) Redhead begs for forgiveness from Daddy Elizalde. He forgives her & she agrees with her father's plan to give EVIL StepMommy 60% of everything.

519.) Colegio Buena Esperanza: Gullible Aurora, Cousin Jacobo & the nun walk out of the convent toward Jacobo's vehicle, which he explains it broke down: LOL 🤣
 

QT #88 (and possibly #89), Part 1

(Note: Based on the episode summaries in Wikipedia en Espanol, today's episode was actually two Mexican episodes spliced together. If they keep that up, we could finish up in 3 weeks instead of 6.)

- Sandi drops into Leo's office to talk about the election, but he's reached the level of deranged where he hears Pat's voice on a continuous loop: "A MONTES TAKES WHAT HE WANTS!" He mauls Sandi and they desecrate the desk. She doesn't seem to find this at all disturbing.

- In the hospital, Aaron confirms to Mat that his father didn't know he was living at los Garcia Duran when he gave the order to torch the place. In fact, it was Patricio who heard him crying and saved him. After Angelita was born, Patricio softened up a little and got curious about what had happened to his son, but by then he and Mat were getting along so well Aaron didn't want to jinx it. (Also, Aaron was afraid to admit that he paid the GD's to keep Mat there instead of putting him up for adoption.)

- Basurto shows Minnie the Eliseo file, but a bunch of pages are missing. If she wants more information, he suggests she talk to Carlo, Eliseo's only surviving family member.

- Leo lurches around the house with a pistol in his belt and a half-bottle of tequila under it, grabbing all the photos of Patricio out of everyone's bedrooms. Most of the family members are actually in their rooms at the time, but with the tequila and the pistol and the hearing voices and all, they think better of objecting and mostly just huddle in the corners. He takes all the pictures to Pat's grave and torches them.

- Mat finds his dropped phone in Aaron's bloody shower. Like a good husband, he calls Sandi first, but she rips him a new one and hangs up. Then he calls Val and asks her to meet him in the barn.
 

QT #88 (and possibly #89), Part 2

- Mat takes one look at Val's face and he's all smiles again. He even stops twitching. (She kind of has a sedative effect on me, too.) The floodgates open: he loves her, he needs her, he can't live without her...the music starts up and they proceed to roll in the hay, both literally and figuratively.

- When Mat returns to the big house, Sandi demands to know if he's been with Val. He says yes. She demands to know if he's still in love with her (Sandi.) He says no.

- The next morning, Val is packing a bag to leave La Noria (but not El Rosario) when Mat appears. He tells her he's separating from Sandi and confesses his greatest sin is TO WANT IT ALL -- with Val. ("Character Says Name of Show" -- bingo, y'all!) He tries to talk her into waiting until the next day to go up the mountain, but she wants to see Surem ASAP. He makes her promise to stay in constant cell phone contact. QTH? In addition to swallowing people and spitting them out, does that mountain erase their memories as well?

- Leo is now lurching around the hacienda in Pat's hat, waving Pat's riding crop, and ordering the help to clear out all of Pat's things. Also they have to call him DON Leonel and do everything he says. Mat begs to differ. Leo smacks Mat with the crop and Mat socks him. Unfortunately, the rest of the family breaks it up. Mat tells Leo he'll fight for every cent that he and Angelita have coming to them, not because he cares about the money but just to get up Leo's nose.
 

QT #88 (and possibly #89), Part 3

- Bere tells Chacho she didn't move away from one domineering man to be mistreated by another. Chacho says she is an eagle and he is a turkey, and he's afraid if she spreads her wings and flies he'll never catch up. She says he needs to have more faith in her, in them, and in himself. They make up.

- Dalia broaches the subject to Mat of just splitting the inheritance now and getting it over with, but Mat says Leo will never be satisfied with a mere one-third. She goes on to reproach him bitterly for sniffing around Val when he promised to love & cherish the little gold-digger. Just then Esme arrives and Mat says they all need to talk. More bickering, no resolution, and Mat announces that he wants nothing to do with either one of them until they work it out. Well, that's one way to do it.

- Carlo and Sab finalize the short guest list for the intimate opening night party at the restaurant. He says almost all of his dreams are coming true. She replies wistfully that she wishes she were one of his dreams.

- Servando meets Leo in the woods and hands him a very strong herbal potion in a dark glass bottle.

- Val arrives at Surem's cabin and finds Remy! They hug and cry.
 

QT #88/89

Great job, Blue Lass.

I am not pleased at the slicing and dicing despite that the missing scenes were mostly filler. At least nothing about Don Patricio was omitted and we now know the whole story behind Matt's abandonment. It only remains for Esme to realize that Dalia knew nothing of it until Aaron's letter.

Minnie still hasn't told Leo that he is Angelita's sperm donor. I now suspect he won't know until the finale.

Have we seen the last of Don Patricio? To Leo the fire might have been an xorcism except that now he seems possessed instead. The white in his hair even increased. [So... when will Televisa finally buy the story rights to Dark Shadows?]

Missing, but possibly important in future:

-- Tito got upset over not having found his mother. Corina suggested he talk to Padre G.

Haha, Leo really does seem possessed. Dalia even said, "Now that Leo has gone crazy, how about just splitting up the inheritance?" I'll have to take a closer look at his hair. I couldn't take my eyes off the goose.
