Really, why DOES Uriel want a piece of Sandi? Does he just feel left out because everyone else has had one? Nice-looking guy with a steady job where he meets a lot of women...he could do better.

No, Aaron did not make an appearance in real time yesterday. There doesn't seem to be much plot-advancing left for him to do, so maybe the snippers decided to excise him permanently. I like the actor, but I wouldn't miss the character.
 

"MEPS" Episode 145 (Part LII):

651.) Artemio continues to use intimidation & threats against Padre Bosco by placing the remains of Liliana Elizalde next to the enemy formerly known as Eduardo Juarez. As far as he's concerned, Liliana's life is all in the hands of Bosco.

652.) Meanwhile Martina is happy go lucky with Dr. Carlos talking about Venus & Steve, Jr., FINALLY being together & blah-blah-blah.

653.) Over at the Elizalde Mansion: Psycho Barbara & Daddy Elizalde sitting down for dinner. What else is new ? We see Priscila & her beautiful body coming into the dining room to eat as well as Jackass #1 Anibal, who's still scheming & plotting as usual.

654.) Redhead (who's at Erika's crib) has to endure the nagging & giggling of her Frenemy Clingy Erika (AKA Psycho Ivana from "ACUERDAS"). Miguel (Redhead' BFF from back in the day) arrives at the Astorga Residence. Bold Prediction: Miguel will be very key in the closing stretch of this epic Telenovela.

655.) Las Animas: Padre Bosco (who's obviously scared of Artemio Bravo & his group of EVIL B613 thugs) pays a visit & wants to speak with Franco/Eduardo ASAP. Yet, Steve, Jr., introduces him to Venus. But wait folks.... a little kid (obviously paid $$$ by Jackass #2 Camilo & his group of buddies) tells Steve, Jr., that Franco's vehicle broke down the road & needs help: UH-OH!

656.) We go back once again to the Astorga Residence, where Clingy Erika announces the arrival of Miguel, who hugs & kisses Redhead while Clingy Erika introduces Redhead's BFF from back in the day to Franco Santorro. The body language of everyone is quite obvious, but knowing Clingy Erika, she wants to jump everyone's bones YIKES.

657.) Over at the country road leading up to Las Animas, Steve, Jr., gets sucker-punched & ambushed by Jackass #2 Camilo & he has his four buddies join in on the fun in violently beating up on Steve, Jr.,. We have to endure MORE of the violent beating of Franco's sidekick.

658.) While that's going on, over inside Las Animas: Venus gives Padre Bosco some tequila. Obviously Bosco needs it because of the day he's been having (Artemio Bravo threatening to exterminate him & the Elizalde's, etc.,)

659.) Inside the Astorga's, the humiliation of Franco/Eduardo continues as Redhead, Miguel, Clingy Erika gushing non-stop LOL.

660.) Venus is getting worried about Steve, Jr., & goes to find him, she informs Bosco she can't find him & needs some assistance.... Bosco tells Venus it's urgent that he speak to Franco/Eduardo ASAP.

661.) In the meantime at Bravo HQ: Artemio continues to threaten, scold & intimidate Liliana & demands to know why she gave Franco the diary of Ana Gregoria without his permission, etc., he even ups the ante by yelling at her in cancelling the trip to Egypt: NO PYRAMIDS FOR YOU!

662.) Back at the country road leading up to Las Animas: Venus & Bosco find Steve, Jr., who's battered & bruised so badly, it's UGLY. While that's going on, Franco/Eduardo is stewing angry inside his vehicle, his jealousy of seeing Miguel & Redhead cuddling is driving him CRAZY.

663.) Mooching Damian wondering if Psycho Barbara is plotting to blow up Colegio Buena Esperanza to spring Aurora out of there.... we're wondering too!

 

"MEPS" Episode 145 (Part LIII):
664.) Over at the hospital, one of the nurses hands over Steve, Jr.'s personal effects. Franco/Eduardo tells Bosco that it wasn't a robbery (he assumes Artemio had a role in the attack on Steve, Jr., but we, the audience knows it was Jackass #2 Camilo & his group of buddies who attacked Franco's sidekick).

665.) Bosco tells Franco/Eduardo that Artemio threatened to have him killed including killing Liliana if he doesn't prove that Eduardo Juarez is dead.

666.) Bravo HQ: Artemio smoking that cigar inside his office, telling the picture of Liliana that she'll suffer the same deadly fate Buji Montserrat did 20+ years ago. My money is that Liliana will be rescued by Franco & Co., soon!

667.) Franco/Eduardo stupidly thinks Artemio instigated the attack on Steve, Jr., OMG: Can somebody get Jonathan & Jennifer Hart over to investigate ?

668.) Elizalde Mansion: Redhead sneaks into the house (OMG Redhead: you're 30 years old & you feel the need to sneak into the house ? Get your own damn place to live). Speaking of creepy, Clingy Erika is waiting inside the library: OMG.

669.) Redhead is notified via cell phone by Franco/Eduardo that Steve, Jr., was in an "accident" & is currently undergoing surgery.

670.) Over at the hospital chapel, Venus is crying to God & cries about her past including asking God to take her instead of the Loveable Gringo.

671.) I don't think we got to see Gullible Aurora in yesterday's episode, but I feel like she still has NO idea that Psycho Barbara has more EVIL plans ahead for her.

672.) Memo to Tomasa: Your EVIL excuse of a hubby Lucio is coming back to wreak havoc on your life very soon.

673.) Let's go back to the hospital: The doctor tells Franco the emergency operation was a success; Venus comes back from the chapel to the lobby just in time to hear that Steve, Jr., had some cranial hemorrhaging, which was drained in order to relieve pressure.

674.) We go back again to the Elizalde Mansion, where presumably everyone is asleep in the house.

675.) Psycho Barbara thought-bubbles to herself: her reasoning is that she's got a family (Gullible Aurora & the soon-to-be-grandkid) & plans to devote her life to it. Just wait until Gullible Aurora finds out the truth about you PSYCHO Barbara Greco (AKA Rebecca Sanchez).

676.) New closing credits showing Eduardo & Redhead on some island vacation.

 

"MEPS" Episode 146 (Part LIV):
677.) We've picked up right where we left off at the hospital, where Venus is crying at Steve, Jr.,'s bedside. Venus promises to learn English if he wakes up......he flatlines....

678.) Both Bosco & Franco/Eduardo are getting on my damn nerves for thinking Artemio ordered the beating on Steve Norton, Jr., when the audience knows damn well it was Jackass #2 Camilo Elizalde & his group of Buji thugs.

679.) In the meantime, Miguel is thought-bubbling over his creepy obsession with Redhead: Fast Forward.

680.) Redhead having a nightmare dream of seeing Franco/Eduardo marrying Clingy Erika while Miguel stands there saying her name: OMG. Enough of the thought-bubbles folks, let's get to it since they're only 14 episodes left.

681.) Franco/Eduardo telling Bosco that he'll give himself up to Artemio in order to end the violence: YEAH RIGHT because I think Artemio's got something cooking up in store for Franco/Eduardo real soon.

682.) Bravo HQ: Artemio escalates the intimidation & threats by upping the ante even further against Liliana about the missing diary of Ana Gregoria (Artemio's mother); it's become quite obvious to everyone watching that Artemio all but figured out it was Franco, who has the diary. More scolding continues & he tells her she'll never go to Egypt to see the pyramids. We're left to seeing poor Liliana crying as the ghost formerly known as Ciro Palafox consoles her SMH.

683.) Realizing that Redhead will hate him forever once the truth comes out (you know it'll be coming soon), Franco/Eduardo & Bosco arrange last-minute updates on the so-called meeting between Bosco & Artemio.

684.) Colegio Buena Esperanza: Sister Fidelita speaks with Gullible Aurora, who wants to meet with Psycho Barbara & we're left to see Gullible Aurora praying for support & forgiveness for the lie she's going to tell....

685.) Over at the hospital's reception room, Franco/Eduardo speaks with Redhead on the latest developments regarding Steve, Jr.'s condition; Venus runs crying that Steve, Jr., is in a coma; Franco/Eduardo is suspicious about who would beat up Steve,Jr., when Venus grumbled her suspicions that it was Jackass #2 Camilo who did it. Franco/Eduardo is shocked!

686.) Colegio Buena Esperanza: Psycho Barbara visiting Gullible Aurora: Fast Forward.

687.) Franco/Eduardo informs Redhead that the person who attacked Steve, Jr., was the one, the only EVIL monster Big Bro Jackass #2 Camilo Elizalde. After more insults from Jackass #2 Camilo launched at Redhead over the phone, she gets official confirmation that her EVIL Big Bro is responsible for the attack on Franco/Eduardo's sidekick.

688.) Artemio spouting his suspicions that Eduardo Juarez isn't dead & the ashes inside that crypt aren't Eduardo's; Bosco counters with his own arguments that Eduard is dead, blah-blah.

689.) Mooching Damian advises Gullible Aurora not to leave the convent with Psycho Barbara; it seems to me that he wants to know more secrets of the EVIL Hyena; Bosco tells Franco/Eduardo the bad news: Artemio wants to see Eduardo's body DUH-DUH-DUHHHH!

Honestly, I agree; Uriel can do so much better. I doubt Sandy ever set foot on a college campus, she's lazy, she's incapable of behaving in a mature manner. In other words, unfit to be the wife of a professional man, even one with a bad rep among his peers (which the writers have not explained).

Now, if he has any sense of self-preservation he will test her for every STD there is a test for an tell her it's in the interests of the baby.

Unless Leo had previously tested negative there is probably no way to know how long he's had it. People who are asymptomatic typically don't think to get tested. If Sandy has it they will probably deliver the baby via C-section which will royally piss her off.

- Amador says Rebeca is jealous over her husband’s star employee. Rebeca won’t allow him to talk to her like that. Amador says he knows her very well. She slaps him.
- Reb says that she knows Amador too. Lucia walks up and wants to know what going on. Amador says Rebeca will explain.
- Marcelo says Rebeca came to tell him to leave her (Lucia alone). Lucia tells Rebeca nothing will change her mind about Marcelo.
- Daniela is whining to Milagros about Marcelo’s relationship with Lucia.
- Lucia wants to know what Rebeca told Marcelo. He calms her down. She wants him to accompany her to the police station.
- Alonso asks Rebeca if she remembers Clara. He says Clara went to see Trini the day Trini died. He thinks Clara has much to clarify.
- Nora goes to see Rodrigo. He doesn’t want to see or talk to her. She tells him that Lucia and Marcelo are dating. Rodrigo refuses to help her separate L&M.
- Rodrigo says that Daniela also wanted his help for the same thing.
- Lucia gives her statement to the police telling them what she knows about Clara.
- Amador brings Alonso the contract for the business deal he wants to pursue. He tells him that Rebeca went to see Marcelo at the factory. Alonso signs the contract.
- Milagros is packing. She’s preparing to move in with Daniela. Rafaela wants her to support Marcelo but not meddle in his life and give Lucia a chance.
- Alonso asks Rebeca why she went to see Marcelo. She doesn’t agree with his relationship with Lucia. Alonso realizes their relationship affects Rebeca. Is there something about Marcelo that Alonso doesn’t know? Rebeca says it’s just her motherly intuition.
- Lucia doesn’t think Clara lied about her son’s health. Marcelo asks her exactly who Clara is. Lucia says Clara was present when Adriana had her accident and Rebeca was there too.
- Lucia asks him to take her to see Nazario.
- Brigida asks Rodrigo why Nora visited him. He’s glad Nora lost the baby because he didn’t want to marry her. He says his female friend is named Daniela Suarez.
- Nora visits Daniela. She mocks her apartment and Daniela slaps her as payback for their last encounter. Nora wants to talk.
- Daniela thinks Nora is crazy. Nora says she can make Lucia and Marcelo break up. Daniela wonders why Nora hates Lucia. She asks her how she found her. Nora says they have a mutual friend.
- Lucia talks to and comforts Nazario while Magdalena asks Marcelo to fix the light in Nazario’s bedroom. Magdalena thinks it’s strange that the light went out apparently by itself.
- Lucia tells Nazario about officially working at the factory and about officially dating Marcelo.
- Marcelo asks Magdalena more about Adriana’s accident, Rebeca and Clara.
- Amador tells Rodrigo that there is a suspect in Trini’s death. Rodrigo apologizes for thinking it was him. Amador says Alonso signed the contract so they’ll start operations soon.
- Rebeca asks Nora where she was. She says she was with Gloria. She says that everyone has turned their back on her even Rebeca.
- Rebeca says Marcelo isn’t ideal for Lucia or Nora.
- Marcelo and Lucia arrive at the factory. (Cut scene: Marcelo remembers Rebeca asking him if “Clara” told him something when he confronted her about Trini’s death). Lucia tells him about her new position in the factory.
- Lalo asks Marcelo about what happened earlier with Rebeca and Amador. Marcelo says Rebeca doesn’t like that he’s dating Lucia.
- Rebeca goes to the police station. She asks them to inform her if they find Clara. They say they’ll inform Nazario first. Rebeca says they never pressed charges when Clara robbed them years ago.
- Alonso is feeling distressed so Lucia calls Sara.
- Normita goes to take Nazario some cookies but doesn’t want to go inside to see him.
- Nazario doesn’t want Magdalena to put her life/work on hold to take care of him.
- Sara says that Alonso is fine but needs to rest and stay calm. She prescribes him a relaxant. Alonso wants to talk to Sara about Nora.
- Rebeca walks in to find Alonso with Sara. Rebeca has Sara admit that she likes Alonso.

Rebecca must be the way she is because she was too young to have been parented by her parents. If I recall correctly Daniela's mother died when she was seriously young and her father never married again, which explains why she fails to see that Milagros is toxic. I think she also spent too much time in boarding schools.

She is also desperate enough to allow Nora into her life to wreak destruction.

Too many people in this story need mental health assistance, including the "good" people. Nazario needs grief counseling at the very least.

Rebecca knows that Marcelo has her number and her only motive for trying to seduce him is to make Lucia miserable.

Rebecca hates Lucia because she is the daughter of Adriana, who was Alonso's great love. It took four years of Rebecca living in the mansion and taking care of her before Alonso married her. Once Nora was born Rebecca didn't give a crap about Lucia. As soon as Nora was able to talk Rebecca began turning her against Lucia. This may have been mildly irritating to Lucia until Nora became a nasty teen.

Since Lucia was 25 years old after the time jump Nora can't be more than 20 right now. She's had lots of time to drink on more of her mother's hatred, sociopathy, and dirty tricks.

- Sara admits that she would’ve loved to make a life with Alonso. She promptly leaves.
- Lucia and Nora hear Alonso and Rebeca arguing. Sara cries once in her car.
- Alonso says Rebeca humiliated Sara when Sara is only his doctor. He says Rebeca forced her to admit her feelings.
- Rebeca says no one will steal him for her. Alonso thinks she sees him just as an object.
- Leti is working late at the law firm while Sergio waits for her. He notes that she’s in a foul mood. She says she’s in love with Mario. Sergio thinks she’s crazy but he won’t tell anyone.
- Amador asks Vinicio why he didn’t tell him that he stole something from Casa Treviño. Vin reminds him that he hasn’t finished paying him yet.
- Lucia tells Marcelo that she’s worried about Alonso’s health. Nora sees them kissing.
- Teresa is in Nora’s room when she yells at her to leave. She vows that Marcelo will never be Lucia’s.
- Sara and Leti both arrive home upset. Leti doesn’t want to talk, however.
- Alonso asks Marcelo to treat Lucia well. He asks him to take care of the factory in his and Nazario’s absence. He’s losing trust in Amador and will end their business partnership.
- Reb tells Lucia that she doesn’t want Sara making house calls anymore.
- Brigida is looking up the name “Suarez” in the phone book. Amador tells her to leave Rodrigo alone and let him live his life.
- Daniela calls Nora. She wants to know what Nora meant when she said they could help each other. They plan to meet up the next day.
- Milagros tells Marcelo that she’s moving in with Daniela the next day. Marcelo doesn’t see the point in both women staying in Puebla.
- Marcelo says he’ll never get back with Daniela.
- Alonso tells Lucia that he and Rebeca don’t want to take advantage of Sara’s friendship but Lucia knows that’s a lie but won’t pry for the truth.
- Clara visits Lucia. Rebeca comes down the stairs and sees Clara. Clara reminds her of the last time they saw each other when Adriana had her accident.
- Rebeca reminds her that it was also same day that Clara stole from them. She accuses Clara flat out of killing Trini. Clara denies doing anything and leaves. Lucia goes after Clara and explains that Trini died the same day that Clara showed up at her house.
- Lucia encourages her to give a statement to the police but Clara is afraid.
- Lalo shows Marcelo the order from Amador’s new client. It’s too high.
- Lucia notes that Rebeca wanted Clara to run off. They now have no suspects or clues in Trini’s death. Lucia tells Rebeca that she gave Clara money for her son.
- Lucia also says that the day she met Clara, Clara told her not to trust Rebeca. Alonso wants to know what they’re arguing about and Rebeca says to ask Lucia.
- Marcelo wants to see the contract from Amador’s client. Amador doesn’t want to give it to him.
- Clara’s friend encourages her to go talk to the police.
- Lucia tells the detectives that she doesn’t think Clara is guilty of killing Trini.
- Nora tells Daniela that she needs to approach Lucia using a different tactic other than confrontation.
- Alonso apologizes to Sara about what happened the night before and Rebeca’s behavior. She says that she just meant that he’s the TYPE of man she’d be interested in. She thinks he should find another doctor. She gives him info on someone who can help Nora.
- Lucia tells Marcelo about Clara’s visit and Rebeca’s reaction. Lucia says she’ll work from home. Normita brings Lucia some documents.
- Magdalena goes to visit Alonso and tells Rebeca that she’s dating Mario.
- Alonso is visiting Nazario. He tells him about Clara. Naz doesn’t think she’s involved in Trini’s death. Naz wants to know the REAL reason why Alonso is visiting him.
- Alonso says what’s bothering him is another woman in his life not Rebeca.
- Lucia accidentally leaves the documents in Marcelo’s car. She finds Nora and Daniela. Daniela apologizes to her. She tells Lucia that she was pregnant with Marcelo’s child but got an abortion. Marcelo overhears this.

 

Quererlo Todo Friday 6/4/2021 # 110/111

QT #110/111 Part 1/2

Art is on the phone with Eva. The money he gave Eva is being transferred. He will do the other part tomorrow. Eva assures him the money will be safe with her.

Basurto is questioning the Cabrera women—Bere, Sandy, and Eva. They aren’t willing to give any hints about Art’s escape or what Eva put in Cipriano’s food to drug him. Later, Bere asks Eva what she put in the food, but gets no response.

Eva sends a helper to tell Cipriano there’s a crime going on and he needs to go. This frees Eva to go in the closet and get some documents for Art. She is on the phone with him as he tries to transfer the second batch of money. Oh noes! The account is blocked.

Governor Zavala receives a package with sexy photos of him with a girl who disappeared. The final photo shows her on the floor, unconscious or dead. Art calls him with threats. The photos will be published and scandal will ensue. Sneaky Art has quite a collection of weapons in his arsenal.

Camilia is on the street at night. She sees Juanito in a compromising embrace with Gervasio. She is angry, saying she believed him and defended him. Why did he lie? Juan says it’s very hard in a small town like this. Cami says she is through with him and he leaves. Facundo approaches her and she explains what just happened. She should have believed Facundo.

There are many conversations at the hospital, with most of the family there. The doctor announces that Angelita is done with the transplant surgery. She’s doing well. Matt is stable, but may have to be placed in a coma. The hours to come will be very important to see if Matt recovers.

Ange awakes with Sab and Leo in the room. She tells them she wants to see Tito, Matt, and Tirso. Her parents say they will come one at a time to visit.

Val is in Matt’s room, telling him she is at his side as the woman he loves. He is comatose, so is unable to recall her account of how he saved her in the mountain cabin. She gives him the medal to protect him, just as the nurse says she must leave so the patient can rest.
 

QT # 110/111 Part 2/2

Mag and Tirso are seated together, talking. Tirso has an image in his head of a solid family. He wonders if she still has anything for him? She doesn’t know—maybe just friendship. Basurto interrupts, looking for info about Art’s escape. Tirso thinks Cousin Eva helped, Basurto warns Tirso to be careful—if he helped, he is in trouble. It’s obvious the two men are jealous and each hoping for a relationship with Mag.

Later, Basurto talks with Mag. She says she has always liked Tirso, but she’s not ready for a relationship. She doesn’t want to see trouble between the two men.

A small scene with Lorenzo and Padre G. Lorenzo fears Corina may break up with him. He’s not handsome, or bright, etc. etc. The padre encourages him and names his positive qualities.

Sandy is in Uriel’s office, telling him about Leo’s STD. They discuss the inheritance and (I think) how much more Sandy would have if Matt didn’t survive. Uriel gives her some medicine to inject into her husband.

Sandy is in her blue protective hospital suit, in Matt’s room. She fills a syringe with the liquid from Uriel and begins injecting it into Matt’s IV, so he “won’t suffer.” The nurse comes in and says she has to leave so they can do patient care. Sandy fumbles with her tools of death and leaves. Matt’s vital signs shoot way up on the monitor and the nurse calls for the doctor with a code blue. They come and shock him with the defibrillator.

While Luisa is telling some of the other women how independent she feels, Esme interrupts the group. She tells Val Matt is in trouble and the family must come see. He had a cardio-respiratory attack and is in danger. He was doing ok. The doctor will keep everyone informed. Sandy is standing a little apart from the group, looking slightly guilty.

Angelita is doing well, as Sab sits with her, knitting a sweater (slowly and tentitvely). Tito comes to visit her and Ange tells him about the sweater. Tito looks a little puzzled, and asks Sab if she’s sick as well?

Matt is alone in his bed when the nurse comes in to check on him. She sees something under the bed and finds the syringe (plus ??) under the bed.

Rebecca doesn't like competition, especially from a woman who has more to recommend her than she does. She's feeling the heat now.

She is also paranoid about Clara, whom she thinks saw her push Adriana against the weak railing. While it is way too soon for her to get her comeuppance it's never too soon for her to be very afraid. Clara knew about her thefts and her obsession with Alonso.

Daniela stooped very low here. Nobody ever taught her that desperation isn't pretty.

It looks too easy to swipe hospital scrubs. I wonder what the real deal is.

Did anyone notice Leo and Minnie smiling when Dr Flavio explained Matt's condition? I hope someone else in that corridor noticed that Sandy didn't get upset or panic. The nurse knew who Sandy was, so she should name her as the prime suspect when that needle is examined.

The blue suit Sandy was wearing looked more like a sanitary coverup than actual scrubs. I've worn them a couple of times when I was visiting people in the hospital who were under restrictions due to their condition. Visitors had to put them on and they were readily available at the door of the room.

According to TV Guide's website it will be replaced with La Rosa de Guadalupe. That means one fewer daytime TN to worry about, at least for now.

I suspect production of new titles has been down. I wish they'd make deals with Argentina and Chile for their content.

UA: I totally agree with you about Daniela. Not sure what makes her think she can trust Nora and the abortion tale is a bit much. Guilt tripping Marcelo is not a good approach.

Rebeca has never really had Alonso. The only reason he’s staying is because of Nora but he’s not emotionally invested in the marriage. The memory of Adriana is between them and Sara has little to nothing to do with it.

UA, thanks to your heads-up I focused on Leo & Minnie smirking during the doctor's speech about Mat's grave condition. Minnie also looked mildly but convincingly drunk. I swear that woman can rotate her eyeballs separately.

Paloma, I'm putting "Some segments may be combined for a pretense at narrative coherence" in my spreadsheet of future header comments.

Here's some extra tidbits:

- Eva admitted to Bere that she helped Art escape but did not divulge what she put in Cipriano's food.

- Sandi told Uriel he'd better get tested as well, so clearly they sealed the deal at some point.

- I thought Art said he had stolen the photos from the governor's photo album. That would answer my question about who took them, but not my question about WHO DOES THAT???

- The nurse found the syringe under Mat's bed when she dropped her pen. That's the other thing she picked up.

Daniela is pathetic, which is why she is Milagros' doormat. On some level I think Marcelo knows that marrying her would mean his mother still keeps interfering and trying to curtail his independence.

I don't remember wht ultimately happened to Milagros but smothers like her don't deserve their children.

Blue Lass, thanks for the heads up on the schedule for our next few broadcasts. It doesn't break my heart to only have to watch and not recap from here on out.

Thanks to you and Urban for picking up any loose ends I dropped along the way. I've enjoyed the rural setting of this TN.

I think I'll nominate Tito for defending himself against the adults who think he's only a little brat.

Don Patricio's goal with his bequest was to unite his family--will we see this actually happen? It might take knocking off a few more people.

If that was Don Patricio's goal, it's failing. It's driving them all apart. It's doing a Darwin job on them.

It has inspired incredible greed and class hatred. Nobody is forgiving him for everything he's done to them all. He was a monster and his toxic parenting of Leonel has turned him into one.

Minnie has probably been an alcoholic for quite a while now. Her organs must be pickled by now. We have no backstory on her prior to marrying him, so we don't know how she became the classical snob she is. I can't fault her for being bitter about his numerous infidelities but she should not be taking this out on Mateo or Dalia.

Aaron deserves some blame for Matt ending up with Dalia rather than Esmeralda, but his motive was to protect Matt. His conscience has plagued him over this for 30+ years and I think he's suffered more than enough.

There is no fate bad enough for Sandy for trying to kill first Dalia then Matt.

I truly wish that novela writers would tell the viewers that people are responsible for their own actions. The very idea that Don Patricio's "bad blood" is responsible for what Leo has become is ludicrous. If Minnie had been around long enough to see how his toxic machismo has influenced Leo she would be blaming him for what Leo has become. And taken her rightful share of the blame for not walking out sooner and taken Leo with her. Had she done that he might not have become the brute he is now.

Still trying to figure out how his acting career was on the skids when he met Valeria. He isn't old enough for that yet and he is still handsome.
