Ep 13: Bouts of Nostalgia, But Still Moving On Part 1

Despite Lucas’s objections, Alicia continues to insist that she is the official director and plans to take the reigns now. She tells him not to worry about following up on Luna’s case; she will take care of it and visit with the parents.

Martin assures Diablo that he should not worry about his feelings for the senora since he has a doctorate in platonic loves. He tells Diablo that his first platonic love was with his French teacher. Diablo teases that Martin seems to like older woman, but Martin argues that Alicia is not that much older…and she is the most impossible of his platonic loves.

Lucas calls Serjerk to complain about Alicia being there since she was only supposed to have the title, and Lucas was going to be the actual director. Lucas doesn’t want Alicia there. He threatens that if Alicia is there every day, he just might say something that Serjerk might not like.

Yaya is cleaning Miranda’s room when she notices the blood on the pillow. Miranda tells her that she hit her head and only got a small cut, but when Yaya checks it, she notices that it is much more than a small cut. Miranda convinces her not to tell her mother.

SerJerk confronts Eva and chides her for talking to Juleech. He forbids her from going to talk to Juleech. Eva tells him that it is he who shouldn’t be seeing Juleech. They

Yaya and Miranda are arguing when SerJerk comes in and comments on Miranda’s hair and what she did to it.. Miranda is disappointed that SerJerk is only there to get some things. She misses him.

Alicia goes to talk to Luna’s mother who is happy that Luna is being offered the grant, but. Kique the brother, rudely tells Alicia that Luna doesn’t need the grant; what Luna needs is to work so that they can food on the table.

Yuri has told Cholo about her scare at his house. Cholo doesn’t want Yuri to go back to his house but she teasingly tells him that she already has a liking for his plants and won’t let them die. They talk about the book she gave him. Cholo likes that it makes him feel like he is away the prison…he had forgotten that love stories existed. And oh that look they give each other speaks volumes!

Yaya is now cleaning Gonzo’s room when SerJerk enters. When SerJerk asks about the exam, Gonzo tells him (lies) that he hasn’t gotten the grade yet. SerJerk comments that they have high hopes for Gonzo who will be a great doctor like SerJerk’s father. SerJerk them gives Gonzo the first stethoscope that belonged to his grandfather.

Yuri tells Cholo that the fact that someone is following her can be a good thing; it might help them prove his innocence. Yuri then shares that she suspects that cops may be involved…it’s an idea that will require evidence, and she can’t let go of her idea.

Martin thanks Karina for getting him a number. When she mentions that it’s time he paid up, Martin remains quiet, but she insists that they will get together that night at her house.

Moises invites Yuri to dinner at his house, Yuri reminds him that she doesn’t like surprises and she has things to do, but he insists since they have things to talk about.


 

Ep 13: Bouts of Nostalgia, But Still Moving On Part 2

Alicia arrives home and asks for the kids. Eva tells her that they were very happy to see their father. When Alicia asks why he came, Eva reminds her that this is SerJerk’s house and she should never forbid him from coming. Miranda chimes in that they are his kids too. When both Eva and Miranda express that they feel sorry for SerJerk, Alicia can’t understand why everyone feels sorry for him…even Emiliano!

Meanwhile, Serjerk is having dinner with Juleech who is giving him a wet, juicy appetizer of a kiss. When he complains about his boring and uncomfortable arrangements at Fabian’s house, she tells him that she made up a room for him. She offers a massage and more yukky kissing. Ughhh!

Martin is at Carlota’s house and is invited to stay for dinner. He accepts and Carlota smiles widely, as does Sofia.

Alicia asks Gonzo about the test and he tells her the same lie. He shows her the gift that his father gave him and thinks it is too much. Alicia then tells Gonzo that she will be working at the foundation; Gonzo shares her excitement.

At Moises’s house, Moises asks about Yuri’s parents, but Yuri prefers to talk about the threat he made. puts his hands all over Yuri and she squirms. She tries to talk about the case but they end up arguing. Moises laughs and tells her that he loves her passion. He assures her that he was only warning her since he wants to protect her. Moises tries to calm things, but Yuri is obviously uncomfortable. When he kisses her, Yuri is glad when there is knock on the door. (I was expecting her to wipe the cooties away.)

Martin compliments Carlota on the dinner. Sofia wonders how it is that her mother can counsel others about marriage and her own parents can’t work on fixing their own marriage. When Sofia asks why they can’t stop fighting, Carlota assures her that they aren’t fighting; they are friends. Sofia wonders that if they are friends, why can’t they be novios. Awkward moment is interrupted when Karina calls and reminds Martin about their plans. She is disappointed when Martin tells her that he will be very late.

Still with Juleech who goes to prepare their shower, SerJerk calls Alicia after he dropped all his pills and only she knows which ones he needs to take. She gives him instructions on which pills to take. After they talk about his visit to the house and Emiliano, Alicia comments that it is nice that they are talking the way they used to. After her tells Alicia that he misses her very much, he quickly hangs up since Juleech returns.

Yuri and Moises have made it through the dinner. He is worrying about what she said about the wedding, so she assures him that they aren’t cancelling it. When he asks if she still loves him, she deflects and calls him “tonto” as she smiles.

Culebra calls Miranda to ask how she is doing. When he mentions that he is with the others playing, she wants to go, but Culebra tells her to wait until the next day.

Now at his apartment, Martin tells Nelson that all that was needed at the dinner was his presence…so that things could be the way they used to be. He then mentions that Diablo practically ordered him to stop seeing Alicia. Meanwhile, Alicia writes in her journal about looking in the mirror and actually seeing herself for the first time in 30 years; she didn’t like what she saw….wrinkles and loneliness, but in the middle of the loneliness she also found excitement because the next day she would begin a new challenge in her life. Alicia then gets her phone and looks at Martin’s photo…just as Martin simultaneously gets his phone and looks at her picture.

SerJerk tells Fabian and Rebeca that he will have breakfast elsewhere. They insist on him staying for breakfast but he insists on going out…and he will soon be finding another place to stay..

Juleech and Chiquis look at the article that retracts the previous report. Juleech is not happy!

Serjerk and Martin meet in the office. SerJerk tells Martin that he already took care of the lies Martin told the press. Martin then explains what he will be reporting about in the next program, but SerJerk nixes his idea…it is his program, Martin is his employee. When Martin tries to argue and wonders what he is supposed to be doing there, SerJerk turns it around and tells him to figure out what SerJerk would want him to do. SerJerk then gives Martin a file and tells him to give him a report on it.

Gonzo is in his room when Fedora calls for Alicia, but Alicia is not available. When Gonzo asks if Fedora is okay since she seemed uncomfortable when he went to drop off the cake, she tells him that she is fine. He then tells her that if she ever needs anything or just needs to talk, she can call him..

The girl that defended Miranda tells Miranda that she would like to be her friend.

Yuri goes to Cholo’s neighborhood to look for Trompeta but he is not around. She walks around to look for him when she sees a woman summon her.

Luna’s mother and Kique take Luna to the foundation. When Kique wants to be the one to negotiate, Luna wonders how he can negotiate when he can’t even read. Lucas then approaches and tells them to go inside.

The woman tells Yuri where to find Trompeta, but asks Yuri not to tell where she got the address as she scurries away.

Martin complains to Diablo about SerJerk. He thinks SerJerk has it out for him, but Fabian tells him not to take things personally. Martin warns that if this is the type of work that is expected from him, then he will resign.

Lucas tells the mother that the time for applying for the grant is over. Kique loses it and starts kicking everything (Yikes, what at a temper!). Alicia enters and reminds Lucas that she will be in charge of Luna’s case.

Yuri finds her way to the address she was given, but an older woman answers the door and tells her to leave,. When Yuri insists, a smarmy guy comes out and tells her that Trompeta left town…and if she knows what is good for her, she should leave.

Alicia walks outside with Luna and her family. After they leave and as Alicia heads back in, she hears a familiar voice. It’s Martin who is working on his report! When Alicia calls to him with a smile, he turns and his gorgeous eyes set upon her and he returns the smile. (And I'm jealous! :-)

Thanks, RgvChick. Fantastic recap. Your title is perfect. The characters are clearly each on their own launch pads poised to move on into the future while going through some “cringey” experiences that will hopefully fuel those launches.

The most pathetic scene was Sergio having to call Alicia about his medication.How stupid can he get? I cannot stand Quique as well as Lucas, Samuel and Sergio. All men who feel “entitled”. Why does Lucas’s mother allow Quique to rule the roost? I wonder if Alicia will ask Sergio to get rid of Lucas. She should after his nasty behavior towards her.There is too much tolerance of bullying behavior in these particular cases. Adults seem to give lip service to bullying. Nobody wants to see kids being bullied but bullying flourishes in adult society as shown here. After Miranda’s experience at school, I hope she is careful with the girl who wants to be friends. Nelson continues to be a star!!!!

RgvChick, from the perfect picturesque title to the reflective “When Alicia calls to him with a smile, he turns and his gorgeous eyes set upon her and he returns the smile. (And I'm jealous! :-)”, this was wonderful.

“Martin tells Nelson that all that was needed at the dinner was his presence…so that things could be the way they used to be”. I felt a surge of pity for Carlota and Sofia, enjoying their dinner with Martin, wanting to be the family they never would be again. I love it that Nelson actually sits at the table.

Karina was out of the game before she was even in it.

“And oh that look they give each other speaks volumes!” was sizzling. “Moises tries to calm things, but Yuri is obviously uncomfortable”. Yuri has yet to realize she has fallen in love but her being barely able to now tolerate Moises could not be more of a clue.

Kique is to be feared. I have no doubt he will turn physically violent with his family (if he hasn’t already).

Dear Chick, thank you so much . Hope your allergies have calmed down. After 90 abd humid yesterday , today is overcast , drizzly, and damp day in the 70s.

Lucas has got to dial back the nasty snarling. He is over the top.

Serjerkio is really a pompous a$$. He actually believes he should be able to have his wife and family and his young mistress. Geez ,talk about entitled and conceited.

Yaya needs to alert Alicia about Miranda's injury.

Alicia seems to be trying to find a mission .

Jarifa, "Nobody wants to see kids being bullied but bullying flourishes in adult society as shown here" Very astute observation. Interesting how all the Carrasco women are being bullied in some form or fashion. Then we had Fedora being bullied by her boytoy, Samuel; and now we have Luna and mom who have to put up with a very volatile and angry Kique...who is also illiterate. Yes, indeed, one big PSA on bullying.

And, "The most pathetic scene was Sergio having to call Alicia about his medication." So pathetic that I can't add anything more.

Diana, "I felt a surge of pity for Carlota and Sofia, enjoying their dinner with Martin, wanting to be the family they never would be again." I did too! Carlota seems to be nice and caring and still very much in love with Martin. And Sofia shines everytime she sees them together. I wonder what really happened with this family and if, in the end, they just may end up together again. It's a bit early to predict, but I really wouldn't be bothered if they did. I'm not sure Alicia would be able to handle the pressures from society and her family; maybe she will end up without a partner, but happily independent.

Just wait till she discovers Matin is smitten with Alicia. Do we know why they got divorced ? Wow , Karina also wants Martin. Another study in unrequited love.

Susanlynn, from what Martin told Alicia, Carlota and he married very young because Carlota got pregnant. It was simply a matter of them not being able to find common interests, so they grew apart.

TU AMOR ep 42 part 1

Helena, Valentina, and Nora are backstage as the show comes to the end. Nora is wearing the principal dress and Helena tells her she looks beautiful. Leonardo congratulates Helena for making a replacement dress so quickly after the first one was stolen. Nora takes the catwalk this time without the childish antics, and Helena follows to close out the show. Helena basks in the applause until she sees Yolanda. Her smile disappears as she gives her a stare. She watches as Yolanda and Beba get up and walk out early. Her smile returns, she takes Nora's hand, and they depart the stage to an adoring crowd. She asks Leonardo to tell Hector what happened. He tells her that Hector left the parking lot with Patricia and that the press wants her to bring Nora to the interview.

Hector is at the hospital and it dawns on him that he needs to explain why he left Helena on her most important day. Unfortunately, he left his phone in the taxi. A nurse tells him that Pat has acute appendicitus and she's on her way to surgery. The nurse gives him the authorization form and tells him his "wife" said that he would sign it. He hesitates but the nurse pushes him. He needs to hurry. The appendix could rupture. It's his wife! Reluctantly, he signs the form.

Helena and Majo are back in the apartment. Helena can't believe how much the world adores Nora. Majo says she can't believe it either, because the stupid girl didn't go out to model, she went out to act like a clown. Majo has it recorded on her ipad and shows Helena. Helena can't believe what she's seeing. Why didn't anyone tell me?, she asks. Leonardo told Majo that he was going to tell her. Helena says the critics are going to crucify them tomorrow. Nora just buried Helena's career and her house of fashion. Tomorrow, Nora and Leonardo are going to be fired. She tries calling Hector but only gets voicemail. She's sure he doesn't want to answer her. Majo says he might be talking to his mother. Helena remembers she wants to ask Consuelo if she knew her mother and gives her a call. Connie says that Helena's mother, her aunt Adelaida, and she were great friends. Connie can't agree to go out to breakfast tomorrow because Hector isn't back and she might have to take Mina to school. Helena can come to the house and she'll make breakfast.

After the surgery Patricia thanks Hector for staying with her. He tells her she should call her family but she says if she wakes them they'll worry more. She asks Hector to stay with her for the night. He wants to call her family. He has to go see his daughter. No one knows where he is. He left his phone in the cab. She tells him not to worry, she'll pay him for his time. He says it's not that. His daughter will be worried. She says he can use her phone. That doesn't help because he's had his cell so long he can't remember any numbers. On his way out the door, a nurse asks him to give his wife a bath. She can't do it by herself because she could become dizzy. She gives him the towels and leaves. Pat says, well, we swam naked in the spring and nothing happened... Later she asks him if he will help her get dressed. Enrique walks in as he stoops to put on her skirt. Enrique asks her what's going on. Hector tells him to lower his voice or he'll bust his teeth. Pat asks Enrique how he knew she was at the hospital. Security called him and told him an executive was having emergency surgery. He tries to hand Hector a handful of money to cover his bringing her there. Hector needles him by saying he didn't just bring her. He stayed for the night and even bathed her. Enrique attacks Hector right as the doctor comes in and both men calm down. The doc will sign her release and she can go home. Since Enrique is there, Hector gives Pat her keys and leaves. Pat berates Enrique for his alpha macho behavior and tells him to leave so she can get dressed.

Adelaida and Guillermo are having breakfast outside. Adelaida reads him a news article. It says that the launch of Helena Vargas had a touch of originality with a new top model - Nora Fuentes. Majo is reading the same article to Helena at her apartment. It says the freshness, the beauty, and the spontaneity added a naturalness never seen before. Nora is reading this same article to Leonardo at a restaurant. It continues, that thanks to Nora Fuentes, models today will be more free in their profession. Without doubt, the creative eye behind this is Leonardo Casanova. Leo can't believe this. He tells Nora she doesn't even know how to walk. He's says that Helena is going to fire them both when they get to the studio. He orders her to ask Helena to forgive her. She's had her five minutes of fame but she's a nobody. She can get her stuff and get out of his house and find someone else to represent her. Otherwise, she better do exactly what he orders.

Camila is at Valentina's and asking her to marry Ricardo. She says it's only for a short time and really wouldn't be much of a sacrifice. Claudio tells Camila that if she feels she owes a debt to Ricardo that's her affair. Valentina gets mad because the whole world seems to know that Ricardo is dying except her. She wonders why he didn't tell her. Because, Claudio responds, Rosamaria told him in his office that it's better if Ricardo doesn't know. Val tells Cami that she won't abandon Ricardo. She's going to talk to him and tell him what's going on. She asks to be alone with Claudio. She tells him that yes, she's going to help Ricardo, but she'd have to be crazy to marry someone only because they're dying. She reassures him that she loves him and asks him to trust her. Later, at the office, she thinks it's strange that Rosamaria told Claudio about Ricardo and not her. There is a knock on the door and RM comes in. Val asks her why she told them before that Ricardo was OK and now he only has days to live. She says she's not a doctor but she's not stupid. People aren't fine one day and then dying the next. Also, why didn't Rosamaria tell Ricardo the truth? She says his only dream is to marry Valentina. She is the first thing he asked about when he came to, even when he didn't remember her name. He told her about their walks, and the hours they spent in the spring making love. Qué?!, Val responds as she looks over to Claudio. When Rosamaria has Claudio alone she gets him to promise not to fight with Ricardo because she says that one strong punch could kill him.

Guillermo doesn't think Nora's last name is a simple coincidence. Fuentes was the last name of Juan's daughters. Fate has brought Valentina and Nora to Helena's. Guillermo is sure that it's them. Adelaida says they have to tell Ricardo and Patricia. No, Guillermo says, they alreaady knew where Val and Nora were. And Valentina had dinner here, says Adelaida. Didn't you say that Patricia didn't recognize her? He tells her Patricia and Ricardo are hiding something. But so is Valentina, says Adelaida, she never said that she knew Pat either.


 

TU AMOR ep 42 part 3

Yolanda wants to know where Helena's model came from. How was she able to hide her from everyone. Beba says she is as surprised as Yolanda and is investigating. Yolanda is sure that Helena won fashion week and worse, what is Valentina doing working for her? She asks Beba if she realizes the danger. Beba has just received a report from her source. Nora and Valentina are sisters. Seriously?, says Yolanda. Yes, the sourse also says that Valentina is Claudio's fiancé. He's Helena's lawyer and accountant. Oh yeah, says Yolanda, he's the one that came here yelling that Valentina isn't alone. Keep investigating. I want to know where those stupid girls came from. I want to know the day and hour they were born. I want to know them forward and backwards. If Helena gets invited to fashion week in Madrid, I need to discredit her and her team. I want to know about their bank accounts, their studies, their properties, everything.

When Nora shows up for work. Helena let's her have it. She says she gave her an opportunity to model in her principal dress. And what did Nora do? Came out waving like she was the queen of the carnival. My models don't comport themselves like that. She doesn't want an apology. She wants to know why she walked like that. Nora says it's because Leonardo told her to. Helena tells her to come with her to Leo's office. They're going to clear this up right now. She tells Leo she wants to know if it's true that he told Nora to behave the way she did. Leonardo tells Nora to say exactly what he told her. She says he told her to be herself. Leo says that's what he tells everyone. He says he's turning in his resignation. Helena says she won't stop him. If he wants to leave, go ahead. He doesn't know why she is so angry. The show was a success, she beat Yolanda, and some big firm is going to ask her to close out fashion week in Madrid. His phone hasn't stopped ringing. She asks him to leave and breaks down. Leo tells Nora to get her things from his house and go away. She says OK I will, and the press is going to find out everything you did to the models and Helena. He looks panicked and runs after her. He tells her never to threaten him again. Camila shows up as he changes tactics and talks to her more calmly. Cami needs Nora to help her with Valentina. It's about Ricardo and it's life or death. Valentina can't believe they're asking her to marry Ricardo. She wants to marry Claudio because he's the man she loves. If they care about Ricardo so much they should give him the love they have in the time that remains for him.

Helena is late arriving at Consuelo's for breakfast. Some things held her up at the office. She asks Consuelo what's wrong. She looks worried. Well, Hector didn't come home last night and he's not answring his phone. Helena says she'll try to find him and gives Patricia a call. Hector comes in right as Patricia answers so Helena hangs up. Connie asks him where he was. He says that he left his phone in the cab and it's a long story. Helena excuses herself and will leave them so they can talk. Hector gets the door for her and says he'll go with her to her car. He apologizes to her for missing her show. Helena tells him, don't worry, it's not important, they told her he was with Patricia. He starts to explain but she cuts him off. She says she supposes he spent the night with Patricia. He says yes but it's not what she thinks. Helena tells him she doesn't care what went on between them. He's a free man who can do what he wants, and she's in a hurry. He says you won't let me speak, eh? Well, here's what I feel for you. He holds her and they share a long kiss.

Diana, I, too, felt sorry for Carlota and Sofía and for “what might have been.” It was a very sensitive scene. On the other hand, Martín needs to make it perfectly clear to Karina that she is in the friend zone.

Susanlynn, ITA that Yaya should have said something to Alicia about Miranda’s head injury by now. Could we be so lucky that it will just fade away as part of the plot? Here is hoping.
 

TU AMOR. Another superlative recap, JoelD! Val has a very sensible reaction and questions for both Camila and dra Rosa. She should extend that and demand a 2nd opinion on Ricardo's health. (Aren't she and Ricardo supposedly seeing another doctor that day? Hope he'she's a real one.) Given that Nora's unusual behavior on the catwalk turns out to be a plus, I'm surprised that Helena chews her out so strongly. It does put Leo in kind of a dilemma. His plot didn't work. Of course Hector left his phone in the taxi! Ever since the invention of cell phones it's been a recurrent theme in novelas to separate their characters from their phone. I wonder if Hector will get in trouble for signing Patricia's medical form. It seem to me that a nurse or nurse's aide should bathe Patricia. Duh! Obviously the writers are teasing us. How long before Guillermo makes contact with Val and Nora? Oh oh! I hope Yolanda doesn't discover Ricardo's bank account in Val's name. Hector and Helena not only don't listen to each other, they don't let the other get a word in edgewise.

JoelD, this was a riveting short story in and of itself. Spectacular.

A very troublesome episode indeed. I don’t even know where to begin. Stupidity, chest thumping and irrational requests were the order of the night.

“Hector needles him by saying he didn't just bring her. He stayed for the night and even bathed her”. Despite his physical hawtness, Hector’s short fuse continues to get the best of him, verbally and physically. Something else to “arm” Enrique with should the need arise.

Rosamaria, started as a saint and is now revealing her sinner self telling Val and Claudio the lie about ” the hours they (Val and Ricardo) spent in the spring making love.”

I’m happy Val is standing steadfast and not listening to silly Camila’s pleas.

I’ve no doubt Nora and Leo will worm their way out their predicament. Leo learned he can’t quite trifle with Nora and then dispose of her so quickly. Nora will never learn.

Guillermo now has a clue. “But so is Valentina, says Adelaida, she never said that she knew Pat either” shows Adelaida is thinking and thinking clearly.

So how long will the glow of Hector and Helena’s kiss last? “Hector and Helena not only don't listen to each other, they don't let the other get a word in edgewise”. Love it SpanProf, I’ll consider my question asked and answered.

I get Kick out of Nora's mean girl vibe. She has such a bratty look on her face as she breezes in and out of scenes.

Hector is dunce getting talked into giving " his wife " a sponge bath and dressing her. Hello. I guess it didnt occur to him to just utter a few words to that nurse ... " Shes not my wife. " In fact , he should have sajd it wben tbey asked him to sign tbe surgery consent form .

And Helena never !ets him explain anything to her. Frustrating to watch.
 

Embajador S2 #19 part 1

Sancar tells Kavruk he’s going to get divorced. Efem, what are you saying, asks a joyful Kavruk, do you really mean it? And he rushes to give his Efe a big hug. Sancar is taken aback by the response and gives Kavruk a hit on the arm. He says, don't smile, that's enough, and adds, someday you will divorce, too. They sit together on a hay bale to contemplate their situations.

The ladies are at the olive grove office. Zehra calls for hands in and the cheer—[Turkish] Bacılar! (sisters). They laugh. Elvan says girls, are we really going to take over the Sadiclar group? Muge responds, something like that. We must at least take over the administration until these idiots recover. We have to watch them, so they don't hurt themselves.

Nare adds, it's amazing what this has come to. I think they’ll have no choice but to accept what we tell them. Time will heal everything. As soon as I leave here, Nare says, they will forget the reason for their differences. Elvan is not so sure, maybe Gediz will forget you, but do you think Sancar can forget his alaca kuş?

Nare changes the subject, let's make plans for Monday. She asks Zehra, who will vote for you? Zehra answers, Muge will vote for me. My mother and Yahya would like someone from the Efeoglus, but even so, I have to talk to them. Muge says, Sancar would not want Gediz to be the president of the company. From the back of the room, Gediz says he agrees. The ladies are startled. Elvan asks him, you decided to join the women's group after you've fallen out with Sancar?

Without acknowledging anyone else, Gediz asks Nare to speak with him outside. She goes with him. Muge notes that her brother didn’t even look at her. Elvan says, now he doesn’t look, but tomorrow he will be begging you.

Gediz asks Nare if this was her idea. She answers, did you come to ask me for a report? No. he says, while you conspired against me, I was fighting for you. Look, you will get custody. Gediz shows her the video of Sancar beating Yahya outside the marina. But ... is this real, Nare asks? Gediz is irritated— everyone asks the same thing. Kahraman asked as well. Nare thinks back to Sancar telling her he was setting up a trap with Yahya and no one else can know.

Nare says it seems too violent to be real and Gediz reminds Nare that Sancar has always been a violent man. He assures her he did not edit the video. Nare asks, do you think that after seeing the video, the judge will think the father would be able to hurt his daughter? That’s exactly what Gediz thinks. He adds, Yahya deserved the beating, but we won’t tell the judge that. Nare looks worried and Gediz asks why she has doubts; she knows that Sancar is a mean and cruel man.

Nare says she can’t do it. She feels it would also harm Melek. Gediz keeps pressing the point, didn't you say that we would attack Sancar's weak point? Or do you just want to hit mine? She walks away from him. He stops her. Wait, wait. Calm down. He tells her, I know you have good intentions. But don't hesitate to use this. Gediz speaks with urgency, that man used your notebook in court, your private affairs. If you don't answer, it will be him who hits you. Wake up.

Nare fires back, I know he would never hurt my daughter. We need to accuse him of something more realistic. Gediz says, this is the strongest card we have, to say that Sancar could hit his daughter. Nare keeps resisting and Gediz keeps insisting. She asks, why would we slander him? Gediz says because he deserves it.

Elvan’s curiosity gets the better of her and she heads out to spy on Nare and Gediz.

Nare proposes they find something realistic. You did many things together in the past, she says, we could use any of them. Then she realizes, they can't, because Sancar and Gediz did those dirty things together. Gediz would be exposed, too. Gediz thought about that, but then he would have to go to jail, too. Nare doesn't want to know any more details.

Gediz continues, use Yahya, use the video. He warns, if Sancar gets custody, Melek will live in the mansion. Sancar, Menekse, her baby ... that will be Melek’s family. Nare drops the bomb on Gediz--Sancar is divorcing Menekse. Gediz is devastated… he’s… going to divorce?

Elvan pops out of her hiding place and laughs, ¡Que allegria! Sancar’s finally going to divorce that demon? She does a little celebratory dance. Then she asks Nare, is he doing it because of me? What are you talking about, Elvan? Last night I made Sancar angry with her. I told him what Menekse did to his poor daughter. Nare snaps, what did Menekse do to Melek? Uh, oh.

Melek has taken a bath and is brushing her hair. Sancar asks her if she wants him to brush. Melek tells him they have not made up enough for him do it. Sancar reminds her she has been talking to him all day. Melek says she forgot, and they have not made up enough to allow it . She adds he knows her conditions.

Sancar says, what if I accept your conditions? Melek is thrilled. Then will we be a family you, mom, me and the baby? Sancar asks her to hand over the brush and he starts brushing her hair. He tells his daughter, doing it was very easy, the hard part is to convince your mother.

Melek thinks differently. Convincing you was the hard thing, she says, we can convince my mother. Sancar questions her, do you think I'm more stubborn? No, Melek gives her reasoning, I was alone when I managed to convince you, but it will be the two of us to convince my mother. Sancar gets it, we will be a gang. Yes, she says.

Nare suddenly rushes into the room, grabs her daughter, and holds her tight. She apologizes profusely to Melek, smothering her with lots of kisses. My angel, I'm very sorry about everything you had to go through, please forgive me. A puzzled Sancar looks at Elvan and she motions about cutting the dress. Sancar is ticked at her. Elvan hurries away.

Melek doesn't understand why her mom is apologizing to her. Nare tells her she knows that Menekse cut her wedding dress and blamed her. Was that why you got upset in the hammam? Quick flashback to the bath. Nare asks, she threatened you? Quick flash to Meanie threatening to cut all of Melek’s clothes. Nare asks Melek, why didn’t you tell me?
Sancar says to his daughter, I asked you, and you never told me.

Melek replies that Menekse is pregnant, and she thought something would happen to the baby. Sancar tells her she has a very kind heart, but Menekse wasn’t pregnant when it happened, and she didn’t mention it. Melek says, my mom was very sad then and cried a lot. I didn't want to upset her more and make her cry.

Nare and Melek hug. Nare is mad at herself. How could she not realize this? Sancar says he didn't realize it either. Something clicks with Nare and she shoots Sancar a look. Melek continues, I didn’t want you to notice, are you fools or what? The parents hug their daughter.

We hear the fairy tale song and get some flashbacks to little Sancar and little Nare.
Nare and Sancar stay with Melek until she falls asleep. Nare asks Sancar, you're going to divorce her for what she did to her our daughter, right? Sancar gives a slight nod and says, I thought I would not do it while she was pregnant, but I can't hurt my daughter to protect my baby.

Nare has a question, aren't you worried about hurting the baby when you tell her about the divorce? It’s a high-ristk pregnancy. Sancar took care of that he already spoke to her doctor. The third month is over and-- now there is no risk. Nare asks to confirm, so the baby will be alright? Sancar answers, [in Turkish], it will be the will of Allah. But the doctor said if nothing has happened so far it will be ok.

Nare asks for the divorce petition. Sancar is puzzled but gives it to her. Nare looks around and grabs a pair of scissors. He asks, what are you going to do with that? She bolts from the room and down the stairs, right past Elvan lurking outside. Sancar hurries and Elvan scurries to follow her.

Nare bursts into Meanie’s room with Sancar and Elvan after her. Atike and Meanie are startled. What are you doing, what happened? Nare goes to Meanie’s closet, takes out a dress and starts cutting. Sancar and Elvan watch in disbelief.

Nare asks, was this how you cut my daughter's dresses? Answer me, do you like this? Nare throws the dress and scissors. She takes what is left of the wedding dress out of the closet and says, let me guess. when I came on your wedding night, you went crazy, and you cut it. When you realized that you couldn't hurt me you decided to blame my daughter, right? She throws that, too.

Nare tries to keep her composure. She sits on Meanie’s bed. Do you know what the matter was, Menekse? I never had an interest in destroying your marriage. I always thought you were right, I came on your wedding night, and I settled in your house. I thought you were right but what did you do? You made a mistake. You will be cursed for being cruel to a little girl.

Nare continues, you too will be a mother, you carry a life. Aren't you scared that you can ruin your baby's fate by your stupid behavior? [In Turkish] I give you to the will of Allah. I'm not going to hurt a pregnant woman. Nare points at Sancar, but this man, do you know how he's going to hold you accountable for having dared to hurt his daughter? I’ll tell you—look! She shoves the divorce petition in Meanie’s face.

Meanie who has remained silent throughout, asks, what is it? A petition for divorce. Atike gasps. Nare states, this man will not divorce you because of me, Menekse! He will do it because you hurt his daughter! I feel calm, but I just hope that you never feel that way. I hope you pay for it. Nare storms out of the room. Sancar and Elvan are stunned.

Nare goes back to her sleeping daughter and kisses her and cries.

Back in Meanie’s cursed bedroom, Elvan says, that was really amazing. Does it feel like a big tornado has passed here? It’s Sancar’s turn now. Death stare. He tells Meanie, you have a week. Look for a house, I’ll buy it for you and then you will leave. Atike gasps. Sancar tells her, we will meet again in court.

Sancar snatches the petition away from her and goes to leave. Stupid Meanie grabs his arm and tries pleading, I don't want to live in another house. I want to live here with you. You can't kick me out of the mansion, I'm pregnant. He pulls his arm away and says, that's the reason why—you are still alive, Menekse. He leaves, she cries. Elvan leaves and shuts the door.

Elvan has gone upstairs to see how Nare is doing. Nare says she is furious, they couldn't protect their little girl. She grabs her diaries out of the cabinet and asks Elvan to stay with Melek for a moment.

Sancar and Kavruk are laughing out at the stable over what Nare did. Kavruk wants Sancar to tell him again. Sancar thinks that’s enough, it’s shameful to laugh at this. But Kavruk talks him into it. Sancar says, Nare stood in front of her and said: "Menekse, what is this?" Kavruk answers with a laugh, "here is the divorce petition." Sancar says that’s enough, we mustn’t mock.

Nare shows up at the stable. Sancar greets her with a big smile, Nare Efe, welcome! We were talking how brave you were--She takes a swift Efe walk over to Sancar and cracks him good and hard across the face. Sancar is blindsided by this. Kavruk quickly takes off.
Nare cries and shoves her book into Sancar’s hands. Look! Look what I wrote here!

December 6th—give your daughter to her father. Read it yourself! She’s hysterical, if I had left my daughter and killed myself, is this how you would have cared for my angel? Would you be that kind of father for Melek? What if Menekse had done something worse? How is it possible that you did not realize what she did to our daughter? You didn't even notice!

Sancar drops the book and pulls Nare into a bear hug. Okay, I'm very sorry, calm down. She breaks free. [Giving you the Turkish here] Your apologies won’t help, she shouts. Sancar says he knows. She shouts back, you never know anything! I’ve been on fire for so many years and you don’t know. I know, he shouts this time. No, she yells, look for yourself. See if you were there while I was burning. She holds out the book again. Look if you are brave enough! If you agree to become ashes, look at my fire!

Sancar looks at the entries and reads out loud: "your daughter is called Melek. never forget. Your daughter is called Melek. never forget. Your daughter is called Melek ". Sancar is devastated. Did you really forget her name? We get the flashback to the rehab when Nare frantically asks Isabel for her baby’s name. Nare tells Sancar, I thought the baby was Akin’s and forgot her name. The doctor had told me that.

Sancar asks her, is that why you started writing in those notebooks? Nare answers, not to forget and not to forgive. Sancar cries. He reads, “Sancar asla affetme”, never forgive Sancar. He reads out loud on page after page, never forgive Sancar.

Nare tells him I only wrote that until Melek’s first birthday. She says she did that because she really wanted to forgive him. Now you understand why can't it happen, she asks? Sancar says he understands. He tells her, today I seriously thought it could happen. Nare admits she thought it, too. [A wistful look on Sancar’s face.] I felt like I had just returned home, she says, it was beautiful. I felt that I was very close to you, but it's too late. She continues, although my past forgives you, my present cannot, and if my present forgives you, this notebook cannot.

Nare takes out her phone and says, that's why--I'm going to do something very bad. I'm going to shoot you with this bullet. She shows him the Yahya video. I’m going to take my daughter and we will fly far from here. She leaves him.

Kman is dropping Dudu off at Yahya’s again. He gives her the order to convince Yahya to vote for Gediz on Monday. Dudu has doubts it will work. Dudu feels Yahya has no respect for her and he’s not even going to listen. Kman asks. what else can we do? Dudu tells Kman about the henna night at the mansion. The men will be there in the lower garden. I’ll take advantage of that to talk to Yahya. What do you think of that?

Kman thinks Sancar won't allow Yahya into the mansion. Dudu assures him he will because the lady of the house (Halise) wants to avoid gossip. Gusiye said even Gediz is invited to prevent the neighbors from talking. Kman smiles, can I go too? I’ll enter the house of my enemy and we will see who votes for whom.

Refika is worried that Gediz didn’t come home last night. Muge has no idea where Gediz could be, but she knows why he didn’t come home. Meanwhile we see Gediz arrive, carrying a passed out Guven on his back and he deposits him on the couch. Muge tells her mom, Gediz is angry.

Refika asks, with Sancar or with Nare? If I’m honest, Muge says, your son is angry with me because I am going to work in Kahraman’s marina. Refika gasps. Muge adds, Sancar is going to get divorced. Refika gasps again. Finally, there’s Zehra, who wants to take your son's seat. Refika gasps one more time.

Gediz enters the conversation, sure, thanks to your daughter. Muge tells her mom, because your son puts his friends and his enemies in the same basket. Refika asks what she means. Refika notices Guven on the couch—what is this man doing here! They head over to the couch.

Muge says, your son keeps putting his friends and his enemies in the same basket. This time he puts them on the couch. Muge asks her brother, is the señor our friend or our enemy? I’m confused. Gediz calls Guven an alcoholic and says he found him like this. And you decided to bring him home, Muge asks? Muge prods, come on, tell mother that you became Kahraman's best friend to defeat Sancar and now you pretend to be a friend of this man? Refika can’t believe her son is capable of doing such a thing.

Why not, Gediz recounts, I collaborated with Sancar to rip off my father. Everyone knows that. And didn’t I dare to lay eyes on my friend's beloved? I think I deserve a good beating. The doorbell rings. Muge goes to answer. Gediz snarks, maybe I invited Kahraman to hand you over to him.

It’s Kavruk at the door. He’s inviting them to henna night at the mansion. Muge says of course they will go, thank you. Kavruk asks if Gediz could you come out for a moment. Gediz steps out to talk. What's up? Kavruk asks if Gediz will come tonight, men are also invited. Gediz gives his regrets. He can’t go.

Why, Kavruk asks, do you have something against me? It’s not about you, Gediz replies, you know that. Kavruk knows it’s about Sancar. Kavruk asks again, come tonight, Gediz, you are my friend. Kavruk adds, it is also an order from of the lady of the house (Halise). She doesn’t want people to start gossiping. Gediz thinks back to what he overheard from the ladies at the olive grove—about who will vote for whom. Gediz thinks to himself he can use this opportunity and says he'll go. He asks if Yahya will be there. Yes, he will.

Nare leaves grandpa’s room and finds Sancar sitting by the door. What are you doing here? Sancar replies, it is the closest place to you [both her and Melek]. After what I told you last night, you slept at my doorstep? Sancar says he was at the door, but he didn't sleep. He asks her about the video, will you really use it? Yes, that's right.

He’s upset for a couple of reasons. Are you saying that I am a father capable of harming his daughter? Nare shoots back, seems right for a cruel mother who hides her daughter from her father. Sancar begs her not to do this. It’s different. Nare wants to know why it’s different. If he plays dirty, she will, too.

Sancar reminds her that he believes Yahya and he would never hit him like that. We were pretending, he says. Nare challenges him to convince the judge. Why are you so afraid? It’s not that, he says, if I do, they will discover what Yahya and I planned. I won’t find out who helped Akin and I won’t find Akin either. Nare tells him he should have thought about that before teaming with her dad and using her notebook. She walks away.

Gediz is tickling the sleeping Guven with a feather. Refika tells him to stop, it’s a shame. Sleeping beauty wakes up and asks, how did I get here? Gediz sends his mom to make coffee for the señor. Gediz says, you don't remember, do you? I found you in the janitor closet at our hotel.

Flashback. Gediz is walking with a hotel employee. He wants a room, any room, just to sleep. They walk past the partially opened closet door and Gediz notices Guven on the floor drinking from a bottle of booze. Gediz wants to take Guven out, but he is scared to leave. He’s got a gambling debt and they are waiting for him out front. End flashback.

Is it a lot of money, Gediz asks? Yes, a lot. You spent the money that Sancar gave you for notebook in court? Gediz asks, do you want your daughter to be with Sancar? If you keep helping Sancar with custody, that's what is going to happen. If Sancar gets custody, Gediz tells Guven, Nare will never be able to leave here. You know they have always loved each other.

Guven is silent. Gediz says, you would do anything for money, right? How much do you want? What? Gediz says it’s not for your daughter, she has the right to choose. Gediz tells Guven to confess that he helped Sancar in court in exchange for money. Nare will get custody and go to Switzerland. Let her recover. She will have time to think. Guven thinks Sancar will follow her. Gediz tells Guven not to worry, I'll take care that Sancar can't go. The coffee comes. Enjoy it, Gediz says with a smile.

And we are out.

They'll help you find anything you want but a sponge bath? That's really going above and beyond. Diana - I like your comment about Rosamaria's Sinner self. She turned out to be a great liar and manipulator. She can even turn on the tears at will. What's she going to be up to next? I guess we'll find out.

ANGUISH would be a very good license plate for Sancar’s truck. I wonder why anyone would want that plate, though.

Not every Turkish drama is so intensely dark or ends tragically. But I always worry when I start a new one.

I’ve seen some very nice Turkish romantic comedies/dramadies. Much, much lighter stuff. Unimas just finished one, Pajaro Soñador. Univision should have played one in the afternoon, instead of re-running Amor Eterno.

DEJAN Episode 14 Like Moths to a Flame Part 1

Martin spends time with Carlota and Sofia, inadvertently giving them hope they will be together as a family, which will never be. The magnetic pull drawing Alicia to Martin is strong, as he is similarly enchanted, immersed in thoughts of her. Alicia tries to deny her attraction to Martin, distancing herself. Efforts to separate from each other are honestly waged yet a chance meeting shows fate has other plans…

Alicia and Martin break into broad, genuine smiles that extends to their eyes, radiating sheer happiness in seeing one another.

“Sra. Alicia” Martin smiles. What are you doing here she counters? He relates he is there for work - to do a report on the Foundation. She smiles saying she is the director of the foundation. With an unpleasant smile, Lucas arrives and introduces himself as the permanent director. Lucas initially begins the interview dissing and dismissing Alicia as Sergio’s wife, but it quickly becomes apparent that Martin needs to talk with Alicia. Lucas’ mike is removed and soon Alicia is seated in his stead.

Ricardo calls Sergio and woodenly relates that Gonzo failed the exam. Sergio is at first incredulous. For the semester he tries to affirm. No, he is now expelled. When Sergio tries to argue citing how important this is due to his father, it is obvious Ricardo is immune to any entreaties. I’m sorry Ricardo says (not sounding in the least bit so).

Gonzalo wrestles with what he is going to do.

Miranda’s new friend tries to share a story but Miranda shuts her down, staring stonily.

Yuri asks Karina for coffee imploring her, telling her it is important. Karina reluctantly accepts. Her leaving is not unseen as Mujica calls out to Gomez to follow her. He later confronts Karina, letting her know she is being watched and he tells her to be careful, in a threatening, rather than comforting manner.

DEJAN Episode 14 Like Moths to a Flame Part 2

Gonzalo is in the hot seat with Ricardo who explains the expulsion in clear, firm detail. Gonzalo realizes Ricardo has told Sergio the truth, that he is expelled. Drums beat ominously as Gonzo’s phone rings showing “Papa” is calling.

Martin tenderly puts the mic on Alicia’s shirt. They lean in and stare into each other’s eyes as the photographer returns. The camera loves Alicia who is smiling and confident, clearly speaking about what is dear to her heart, the children and families that the Foundation serves. She is compelling as she states “If a a father or husband doesn’t respect his wife or partner, then that is not a family.” Martin stares entranced.

Chiquis plies Emiliano with baked goods in exchange for gossip about Sergio.

Julieta arrives at work trying to smile as she attempts to feign cordiality. Smirks all around. Sergio walks in and walks by.

Gonzalo and his ex-med school friend talk as Lorena comes up. Realizing he is the third wheel, he leaves.

Carlota has a new patient – Fedora who tells her about Samuel. Carlota asks her if Samuel is physically and/or emotionally violent. When Fedora admits to being alone, we sadly realize that is likely one of the reasons she has endured Samuel. If only she saw herself as we do, a lovely, vivacious, kind and generous friend. Hopefully, this therapy will result in Fedora emerging stronger and shedding Samuel quickly.

In prison, the thunderous noise of the inmates drives Cholo to the breaking point. He freaks out screaming at the top of his lungs. His cell mate calms him down as Cholo dissolves in tears.

Facundo is watching activity at the marketplace and taking pictures. Not too unobtrusively I might add.

Lucas calls Sergio furious that Alicia was the one interviewed. Sergio tells him off as he fumes. Lucas stands menacingly close to one of the staff, in effect threatening her.

Enigma and Culebra are back together at the lair. Does Culebra tell her he likes someone?

Martin and Alicia end the interview. As Martin beams from ear to ear when he is within ten feet of Alicia, his grin here means little. I do suspect that the interview went extremely well. As he leaves, her lips part in a smile as she watches.

Rebecca waves a bag of kiwis at Fabian. I’m laughing out loud as that struck me as so funny. I am including this in case something important was said as this dialogue escaped me 😊

Chiquis, relating the bad news that there is hope for Sergio and Alicia is screamed at and called gorda by Julieta. Julieta cries angrily.

Some sweet flirting and kissing between Gonzo and Lorena.

DEJAN Episode 14 Like Moths to a Flame Part 3 (Last)

The tres amigas (Lorena looking stunning in a bright red blouse) meet for coffee and delicious looking cake. Alicia relates her meeting with Martin.

Later, all hell is about to break loose when Sergio bursts into his ex-house demanding to know from Yaya where Gonzalo is. When Alicia enters, he says your son failed his exam and is expelled!

Post production, Diablo and Martin watch the interview. Although Diablo calls the interview “precious” he wants Martin to edit out Alicia’s moving quote about respect. Martin stares disappointed.

Martin visits his parents which does not go as well as the interview. Facundo, still being eaten up with grief, wants justice. Martin, trying to placate him, tells him the police are investigating. Maruja, carrying a tray of coffee, no doubt fervently hoping for a few calm minutes with her son and husband, is halted in her tracks. Martin leaves in frustration.

Sergio blames everything that is happening with the kids on Alicia...she needs to act like a mother! As she and we struggle to process this unpalatable lie, the object of the family’s angst finally arrives home.

Moises rears his ugly head as Yuri gets a call.

Culebra and Enigma play and decimate their opponents.

An unexpected meeting ensues. “Senorita” Martin utters as he meets with Yuri. Yuri looks as uncomfortable as we are.

Back to the showdown at the house Sergio abandoned, he tells Gonzalo that he is an embarrassment to his family. Gonzalo retorts that he thought the embarrassment of his life would be that his wife and family found out about his affair. Gonzalo tells Sergio that he has “lost the right to reproach me anything” and that he doesn’t have the right to tell him anything or order him to do anything. When Sergio tells him that he has every right to force him to do what he wants, Gonzalo tells him that he can force the kids he has with Julieta to do what he wants! At these words, insults and anger have reached the boiling point and a full raging battle ensues.

Rebeca bought the avocados for Sergio’s smoothies and agreed to Sergio staying a few more days to make peace with Fabián. That didn’t do it for Fabián who reminded her that if Sergio left their house, he would end up moving in with Julieta.

These episodes just go by so quickly.

Interesting that Alicia is getting so involved with the foundation since she seems still undecided about staying in the marriage.

I was impressed that they had Fedora telling her psych Carlota about Samuel as a possible abuser and her issue with feeling alone. What is she willing to pay for a guy on her arm?

Looks like Miranda is feeling jealous that Culebra is interested in some girl at school. Who could it be?

Great brawl to end the episode on. I was surprised it took Sergio so long to slap Gonzo. At least the truth is out.

Fedora showed some surprising vulnerability. A smart, lovely woman who has so much yet feels empty without a man. Surprising, sad but not uncommon.

I am wondering if Culebra might know who Miranda is? He was peering at her very intently in the hospital. It would be funny if he doesn't yet has a crush on Miranda!

TU AMOR ep 43 part 1

As Helena releases herself from Hector's embrace she still feels the affect of the kiss. She recovers and gives Hector a slap saying, "I hate that you steal my kisses." She then presses up against him, kissing him with passion once again. "That's why I take them back.", she says, with her hand on his face where she just slapped him. "Adios", she says and leaves. Hector has a confused expression which becomes a happy one. "Adios no, not while I love you", he says to himself while rubbing his face.

Claudio and Valentina are talking at home. She starts to explain what Rosamaria said about the spring but he stops her. He's not interested in the past, only the present, and the future, of course. She tells him that she loves him with her whole being and that nothing will change that. She asks him to never doubt it. He says he never doubted her. He was doubting himself. He does agree with Rosamaria about not telling Ricardo that he's dying, however. She says that she would want to know if she were in his place. He says they don't know how he would react to knowing. She says he's right. She hadn't looked at it like that. He tells her that life is at least giving her a chance to say goodby to him little by little.

Back home, Majo tells Helena not to cry. The important thing is that you kissed, and that you felt his love. Love?, says Helena, he confessed to me that he spent the night with Patricia. Majo tells her that there must be some explanation. What else did he tell you? What else did he tell me?, Helena responds, what else was he going to say? No way was I going to stay there to hear the details. Why do I have to love him so much?, she cries.

Rosamaria's former teacher welcomes her to her new office at the hospital. He says she won't be spending much time there because she'll be seeing patients. She says she has her first patient today, Ricardo Manrique. Her teacher says he's aware of the surgery she performed on his brain without equipment, without anything. She'll see she has a lot of fans at the hospital, he says. He reminds her to stop by Human Resources, wishes her well, and leaves her to finish unpacking. The first book she unpacks is titled "Claudio Ptolomeo" (Claudius Ptolemy - the early scientist). Looking at the book she says, "Claudio, you're always going to be close to me."

Guillermo is in his office hiring a detective named señor Barbarosa. Guillermo gives him an envelope with photos of Patricia and Ricardo. Barbarosa says he also has their account numbers, license plates, car models and phone numbers. He'll be watching them 24 hours a day. In a few days he'll know who they're seeing and where, if their bank accounts have any unusual movements, etc. Lucha, the servant, overhears their conversation. She immediately runs to Patricia to fill her in. Pat then calls Ricardo to warn him about what's going on.
 

TU AMOR ep 43 part 2

Consuelo sees that Hector is out of the shower as she sews and tries to give him some advice. Stay away from Patricia, she says. She causes more problems every time. First with Helena, and now with that guy Enrique. Don't worry about him, Hector responds, what hurts me is Helena's mistrust. Consuela tells him that to her, it's all Patricia's fault, please, stay away from her. What, I have to stay away from her because Helena doesn't trust me?, Hector answers. Yes, Connie says, she's your partner. No, he says, if she were my partner she would trust me. Ma, I told you something very personal and if you say anything I'm not going to forgive you.

Adelaida tells Helena that she loved the entire collection yesterday and is very proud of her. She asks about that one nice model. Helena tells her that her name is Nora, that she's Valentina's sister, and that they're Juan Fuentes' daughters. He died in the accident with her brother and Armando Manrique. This causes Adelaida's blood pressure to drop and Helena takes her to the hospital where Rosamaria will see her. Guillermo appears but doesn't admit to having any issues himself. He pretends that he just wants to ask about Adelaida. Later, in Rosamaria's office, she can see he has some serious health issues. He tells her not to worry. He's seeing Doctor Farre. He asks her not to tell his family about his condition. Adelaida has to call Rosamaria later because Ricardo's headaches have returned with a vengeance.

At work, Nora asks Valentina if she thinks their uncle will let her return to his house. She says she misses her sister. Val thinks he will, but Nora needs to change her attitude. What attitude?, asks Nora, I'm always super nice. Guillermo has to fight through some pain as he approaches them in the hall. Valentina says hello and introduces Nora. She asks what they can do for him. He says he knows it's not the time or the place but he needs to speak with them. He invites them to dinner this evening. They agree to eight o'clock. He'll send his chauffeur for them. They ask Helena if they can borrow some dresses. Valentina says she isn't sure she wants to go but Nora says she feels like Cinderella. Helena wonders what her father is up to and asks Val to tell her if she finds out anything.

At the restaurant a waiter asks the girls if they would like anything to drink. Nora asks for a tequila but Val overrules her and asks the waiter to bring them water. Guillermo suggests they have some wine. Val has to tell her sister to put away the cell phone. Nora doesn't want to because she keeps getting messages. Guillermo asks Nora if she's a designer like her sister. No, she says, their mother taught them both but she never caught on. Nora says that Val gets along with Helena better than she does. They even look like sisters. Val says she really admires Helena and is grateful for her job. Guillermo proposes a toast to the top model and the great designer. They ask him why a man like him would invite them to such a nice place for dinner. What do you mean, he asks, I'm no different than anyone else. What was your father like Nora? She says he was very nice but spoiled Valentina. Her mother loved Nora more though. Loved?, he asks, not loves? She died, Nora explains. Her death took them by surprise, says Val, one morning she didn't wake up. Nora says her mother was very pretty. The people at the ranch say that Valentina looks like her. What was her name?, Guillermo asks. Graciela Barrios. Everyone called her Chelita.
 

TU AMOR ep 43 part 3

Helena asks Leonardo to get out of her office. He says he was under a lot of pressure but the show ended up being a success. Helena tells him she doesn't like the way he is, the way he treats people, it bothers her. He says he's aware that when he's stressed he can be a little intense. He asks for an opportunity to apologize. She tells him to leave. She's tired and she's not interested in listening to him. He asks if they can talk tomorrow when she's calmer. She says she is calm. The problem is that she trusted him. She thought they were a team but he does what he wants. He's forgotten that she's the boss. She thought that coming from such a good family he'd have better values. If only you were more like your brother Hector who you criticize any time you can. I'm very disappointed in you. Good night. Majo wants to celebrate when Helena gets home. She has food and wine and proposes a toast. She can see that Helena is crying and realizes it's because of Hector. She tries to comfort her with a hug.

Guillermo says he knew Juan Fuentes very well. Nora says she knows her father owed him money but they can't pay it back. Your papa? He never asked me for anything. He didn't owe me anything. He was Armando's trusted man. But I don't remember your mother. Did you have any other family at the ranch? Yes, Val replies, our aunt, Maria Amparo, our father's sister. Judging by his reaction, Guillermo certainly remembers her. Val says their mother told them that Maria was very delicate. She liked to knit, she liked to embroider, she liked to sew. She made all the clothes at the ranch. Their mother learned through her. She died when they were very young. Their mother had a picture of Maria. I never saw it, says Nora. Val continues, mother said that she died of love. (Nora thinks that's silly but it hits Guillermo hard.) Val says her aunt loved a man with all her soul. Guillermo lowers his head and sheds a tear at this. Val says the man never returned. She fell into sadness and a short time later she died. Val can tell that he knew her, but asks him anyway. Yes, he admits, he knew Maria Amparo. She's the reason we're here. He met Maria at one of Armando's celebrations. She was the most fascinating woman. He looked for opportunities to be with her. To be with her?, Nora asks, does that mean...? Yes, he says, we had a relación de amor. He didn't return to the ranch for a long time and he didn't find her there. He says he received a message from their father, right before he got on the plane the day of the crash. "Juan confessed to me that one of you is my daughter."

JoelD, your recap was beyond moving, it spoke to our minds and hearts. Beautifully related and detailed.

Guillermo’s meeting with Valentina and Nora was very well done. Nora was impressed and wanted to impress. Valentina was clearly on guard, wary of what was to come. Her story was riveting especially “mother said that she (Maria) died of love”. Guillermo devastated, Nora with her quick dismissive remarks.

"Juan confessed to me that one of you is my daughter." It would make sense for it to be Valentina but I would not bet my life on it.

“The first book she unpacks is titled "Claudio Ptolomeo" (Claudius Ptolemy - the early scientist)” – nothing escapes you. Your detailing is incredible.

Thanks to Lucha, Patricia was forewarned about the investigation. Her contemptuous stares at Barbarosa as he watched her and Enrique left no doubt she knew exactly who he was and what he is up to. She has been insidious, crafty and clever.

“What, I have to stay away from her because Helena doesn't trust me?” Yes, Hector. It should be enough that he realizes Patricia cuts Helena to the quick. Why Hector would ever take her side versus the woman he purports to love is unfathomable.

“Her teacher says he's aware of the surgery she performed on his brain without equipment, without anything”. Huh??? Wow – I knew Rosamaria had mad skillz, but not that she is truly a miracle worker!

It was good to see Claudio tell Valentina he loves her without reservation and without regard to the past. I was also happy Helena told Leo off, especially comparing him to Hector. As jealousy consumes him, that must have hurt. I hope it did.

I thought it was funny how the assignment Sergio gave Martin turned out to be an open door for Martin to see and converse with Alicia. Though she had cut the ties, they are back on track :-)

I thought Miranda was way too harsh on the girl that offered friendship. The girl seemed so sincere and even shared her own story of being bullied at the other school because of her weight.

Jarifa, who could Culebra be interested?? Like Diana, I'm pretty sure it's MIRANDA!! When at school, he keeps looking at her. And I too wonder if he actually knows who Enigma is.

Wow, what an ending to the episode. I would have never expected Gonzo to fight back...but SO glad he did! After that little rant about how everything is Alicia's fault and that she should stay home to be a mother (and everything else he has done), SerJERK deserves a good beating. GO, GONZO!!

I was sad to see Miranda rebuff the other girl as well. I think her instinct was a protective one, she's been so bullied, perhaps her defense mechanism just kicked in. I hope she relents, the girl needs a friend and so does she!

Since Sergio is so self centered, it is likely he doesn't even realize how beautiful and desirable Alicia is. When he catches onto Martin's devotion, that will not go down well!

TU AMOR. Another complete, sensitive and outstanding recap, JoelD. And very perceptive remarks, Diana. If you weren't a literary critic, you should have been. Claudio is so sweet about Val's "past." I suspect much of that past Rosamaria mentioned is a Ricardo fantasy-even though he and Val were novios. I think Majo should investigate how Hector "spent the night" with Patricia. Yep, Diana, Leo is scrambling to try and keep his job and it serves him right. Guillermo tracked down Val and Nora and told them the truth about Maria Amparo and their father's revelation to him about the parentage of one of them a little earlier than I had expected--but that's a good thing. Now how long will it take to get DNA results? Whoa! A clue and foreshadowing when Nora says that Val and Helena look like sisters? Or are the writers playing with us? Ricardo seems very sick. Could he really be dying? Could his health scam turn out to be true? I really appreciate these recaps, JoelD, and your comments, Diana, because Tuesday is my zumba night. I watch the episode I missed online the next morning, but the sound quality isn't as good and the version I watch doesn't have closed captions in Spanish. These recaps keep me on track.

Strategy session at the olive grove office with Sancar, Kavruk, Yahya and the lawyer (sorry I never remember this lawyer’s name). Kavruk tells Sancar he knows that Gediz is planning something very bad. Sancar asks, what are you talking about? Yahya adds, the girl we're paying told us about it. Gediz took in Nare's father. Guven is his luxury guest.

Sancar gets it. Gediz has allied with him for the custody trial. Sancar shows them the video of the so-called beating. Sancar asks the lawyer, will this affect temporary custody? The lawyer says an objection will be accepted. The court will reconsider the decision about temporary custody. Sancar could lose custody.

Maldito sea, maldito sea, Sancar shouts. Why did that bastard Gediz give those pictures to Nare?! Kavruk speaks up, you should have thought about that before buying Gediz' place, don't you think? Sancar shouts, yes and now he will say, “I took his daughter from him”! He will certainly give Guven money, Kavruk says.

Yahya has a suggestion for his brother, you should talk to Nare. Tell her "my dear Nare, I'll make Yahya say the video is a fake. But then Kahraman you will realize that this was all just a farce and Akin will end up running away." If necessary, you must even beg.

Sancar shouts, of course I did this! I was even about to get on my knees! What did she say, Yahya asks? Sancar answers, I should have thought about it before teaming with her father and using those notebooks. That’s what I said, Kavruk tells his Efe. Sancar yells at Kavruk, I know it was stupid, but who are you? A friend or an enemy? Kavruk calmly replies, I'm mad at you, but what did we promise? We swore that we would tell each other the good and bad. Damn you always, Sancar, he shouts at himself.

Yahya asks, what now? If you accept that you hit me, you lose Melek, and if you deny it, we'll lose Akin. Kavruk asks, do you want that bastard or your little girl? We can guess Sancar’s answer—he wants both. Yahya thinks that’s impossible. Sancar asks the lawyer, if Yahya goes to court and says we were just pretending, do you think it will work? The lawyer says, the judge may not believe it because you are brothers.

Sancar thinks back to the beating and remembers the tourists that showed up and started recording, [Uni cut this from the original] Sancar chased the gawkers away and continued “beating” Yahya. Sancar tells the lawyer about this and says, these people were on Mehmed’s boat. We might be able to find them. If any of them have the shot that I was really hitting the wall, we could convince the judge that the fight was not real.

The lawyer says he will get on it. Yahya reminds his brother that Kman will find out it was a set up and everything they did will have been for nothing. And they have no information from the men who have been following Kman either. Kavruk wonders, how is it possible that after so much time you have not gotten rid of Kahraman?

Sancar confidently says, we only need a few days. We will get rid of Kahraman before the trial date, and then we'll catch Akin. Yahya asks how. Sancar instructs Yahya, tomorrow you will call Kahraman. You will tell him that you are tired of being belittled and that you are no longer willing to fight with me. You want to sell all your shares and get out of here. You will tell that idiot that if he does not buy your shares then Gediz is going to be the owner. And then what, Yahya asks? Sancar says he will take care of the rest. Sancar grabs his keys and heads out saying, come on, we have this idiot’s (Kavruk) henna night.

Meanie comes out of her room, holding a bag, just as Melek walks through the door. Meanie stares at the poor kid and Melek stands paralyzed until Zehra shows up behind her. [I want to slap the smug look off of Meanie’s face]

Embajador S2 #20 part 2

Necdet is scrubbing the walk when Meanie comes outside and asks what he’s doing. I'm working, he tells her, you know that I don't like being inactive. [could have fooled us, but he’s doing it for his cookie, Gulsiye. Uni cut how Gulsiye talked him into helping and there was some snarky stuff between Ayse and Zehra]

As Meanie walks by, Elvan says to Halise, have I told you what Nare did yesterday? She went to tell her worst enemy she was going to get divorced for what she did to her daughter. Halise cautions Elvan to use her words carefully. Better her hands work than her mouth. After a short staring contest with Nare, Meanie continues on her way. Halise is suspicious of where Meanie is heading.

A delivery person shows up outside the gate with a package for Menekse Efeoglu. The guard looks in the bag, but Meanie shows up to claim it before the guard can inspect it. She explains she is exchanging the yarn she bought yesterday. The exchange is made, and Meanie goes back inside. As Meanie walks past Halise and Elvan she says, I changed the yarn I bought yesterday. Elvan calls after her, you won't be thinking of getting us in trouble again. Meanie snarks, ah, I'll do that. Nare takes notice.

Meanie goes to her room and immediately searches through the yarn bundles. She finds a packet of pills. Atike asks, what are those pills, what are they for? Meanie gets a call from “Gulten”. It’s Akin, did you get the pills, he asks? Yes, she answers, but they are very small. Akin tells her to focus on what she needs to do. A single pill can put an adult to sleep. We don’t hear anything else of the plan.

It’s Henna Night! And the ladies are dancing. Unsuspecting Elvan gets Dudu up to dance with her. Melek wants to dance, too. [Of note: the song that briefly plays here is “Gimildan” it’s Elvan’s signature song. When she breaks into her little shimmy dances, she’s usually singing “gimildan, gimildan”. YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xR92LrtM7no I can’t find a good English translation for it. In the Turkish, the captions read either move, move or dance, dance. It’s a fun song.]

The Isiklis arrive at the mansion. Gediz pauses to look at the gate before they go in. Muge asks what he’s looking at. He responds, maybe that name will change very soon—Isikli mansion.

Yahya drives up and asks Gediz, what are you doing here? Gediz answers, they invited the ones they fired and I didn't want you to be alone. He says to Yahya, Zehra seeks the presidency. Yahya replies, yes, you'll cry when she takes your place. Nah, Gediz says, I’m sorry for you. First Sancar, now Zehra. It's your destiny, to be in the shadows.
Gulsiye welcomes the Isikli women with cologne. Nare and Gediz acknowledge each other from a distance. Looks like Gediz notices they are both dressed in black.

Yahya looks at Dudu dancing with Elvan. The ladies both look at Yahya. Oh, boy.
Gulsiye approaches Gediz and Yahya saying, welcome to you, traitors, and gives them cologne. Yahya asks her if she is mad at him. Yes, that's right, she snarks, everyone here stabs everyone.

Gediz asks her if she is the new spokesperson for the mansion. Gulsiye snarks again, yes, Elvan asked me to replace her while she dances. She tells them that the men are in the lower garden. They head there. Halise notices them and takes off after them. She stops them before they enter the garden. Wait!

They stop for Halise and she tells them to wait there. Halise gets Sancar. When Sancar sees Gediz, he’s ready to fight. Halise separates the ex-partners and warns the three men, if you cause a problem tonight, I'm not going to forgive you or bless you [no helal olsun]. I don't want us to be the laughing stock for our friends. Sancar replies, yes, let’s feed an enemy so we won't be a laughingstock. Sancar and Yahya walk away but Gediz asks Halise to wait.

Gediz starts, Sancar decided to leave the company. Yes, she knows. He adds, Zehra wants to take my place in the company. Halise replies, she’s a girl who is trying. Gediz continues, that's not the point here [whether it’s a man or woman]. She is naive and very young. Understand? It’s dangerous. You know Kahraman, he has made life impossible for Muge and Zehra. Zehra is disabled, Halise says, what is this? Gediz says, all I know is that Kahraman without Sancar and without me, is capable of destroying us. Halise asks him what he will do. Gediz says, choose me. If Sancar leaves, I will protect everyone. What will Halise do?

Kman shows up to the party. He immediately spots Muge dancing and stops to give her the menacing stare. Muge notices him and is shaken. Nare goes to her and settles her into a chair out of Kman’s sight. Gulsiye goes to welcome Kman. He has a hard time breaking his stare. She finally gets his attention and directs him downstairs.

Gotta laugh at the four men, Gediz, Yahya, Sancar and Kavruk, who are sitting at the table like they’ve been held hostage at a funeral.

[Using the Turkish here] Kman makes a beeline to Sancar and sticks out his hand—"assalam alaikum” (peace be upon you). Sancar immediately grabs Kman’s hand and stands, he quickly whispers what the hell are you doing here? But then he loudly replies, “alaikum salaam” (peace be with you, too). Kman tells him he’s with the bride’s family. Kman offers his congrats to Kavruk and shakes his hand and Kman also shakes the hands of Yahya and Gediz. He then takes a seat next to Necdet.

Gulsiye is in the kitchen, pouring lemonade when Meanie and Atike enter. Meanie pulls a pitcher of lemonade out of the fridge and says, lately, my baby is very thirsty.

Flashback to Meanie putting pills in that same pitcher and placing it in the fridge. She says, Melek will drink this lemonade and then sleep like an angel while Akin takes her out of the mansion. Oh, my stepdaughter… End flashback.

Meanie can’t drink that lemonade, so she takes the pitcher over to the sink and pours her glass out. She almost gets caught by Gulsiye. Before Gulsiye leaves with the tray of drinks, Meanie stops her and takes a kiddie cup out and pours some of the spiked lemonade for Melek. She says, tell Melek that her stepmom wanted to share some of her baby’s lemonade. I'm not what she thinks. [no, she’s much worse!] Gulsiye cracks, I always thought that one day you would be good person, but your true intention is to mess with her. Gulsiye and Meanie leave. Atike goes to work on pouring lemonade into paper cups and spiking them with pills.

Gulsiye serves Melek the spiked drink and Meanie watches with an evil smile as the kid drinks. Atike brings the spiked cups out to Gulsiye to pass around to the guards outside.
Akin is watching the mansion at distance in his car. Meanie sends a text. “She already had the lemonade. Melek has started to yawn.”

Melek tells her mom she wants to go to sleep. Nare gets up to take her but Zehra asks if it is okay if she takes her. If I stay at the party longer, she explains to Nare, I think I'm going to kill everyone. [everyone or just Ayse?] Nare sends Melek off with Zehra. Meanie is pleased to see her plan is working.

Back at the lower garden, an elderly man calls out to the four mourners, aren't you going to dance? Sancar sighs and fidgets, the others sit solemnly, Gediz rolls his eyes. Kman gets up and takes off his jacket, well, gentlemen? Are we not going to dance? Ha, he throws his jacket on Necdet, who started to get up. The music starts and Kman stands before the men like a challenge. Sancar stands up. Gediz sighs in disgust.

Embajador S2 #20 part 4

Elvan hears the music from below and calls out, it's time for the zeybek! Come on! The ladies file downstairs, with Nare being the last. Meanie retreats to the house. Zehra is on the bed next to Melek. She looks out the window, looks at sleeping Melek and leaves.

Meanie peeks in on Melek and sends a text to Akin: “you can enter, there are no obstacles”. He starts his car.

Back to the zeybek showdown. Sancar takes off his jacket and the others follow. Gediz’ facial expressions are too funny!] They prepare to dance as the ladies gather on the lawn. Zehra comes out on the balcony to watch. The men start walking in the circle. Kavruk notices Zehra, Sancar looks at Nare. Kavruk gives the shout, haydı efelerrrr! They begin to dance.

While everyone is dancing or watching, Akin sneaks past the dosed guards and into the mansion.

Zeybek is finished and gazes and glances are exchanged, Kavruk and Zehra, Sancar and Nare (Gediz takes notice), Yahya looks at Elvan and Dudu. Halise announces it's time to apply the henna. So everyone prepares to go back to the upper garden.

Akin enters Melek’s room and picks her up from the bed. He hurries out of the house, to a waiting Meanie but they see the partygoers coming up the stairs. Uh, oh, they have to rush back into the house. Akin tries the other exit but Gulsiye, Dudu and Zehra are coming up the stairs. He has no other option but to go back into Melek’s room.

The henna ceremony is about to start. Kavruk takes his seat beside Ayse. Elvan lifts Ayse’s veil and says, hey, are you crying? [the bride is supposed to be sad she’s leaving her mother to get married] Ayse smiles and wiggles her eyebrows. Elvan says at least pretend you're crying. Ayse winks.

Halise signals and Elvan and tries to open Ayse’s hand. When she can’t, Elvan calls out to Halise, the bride doesn't want to open her hand. Halise gets up and puts a gold coin in Ayse’s hand and says, heaven (Allah) protect you, my daughter. It’s a promise that she is responsible for the bride, ethically and financially. Sancar looks fed up with this farce and Kavruk and Zehra look very sad.

Halise wants Elvan to apply the henna but she balks, a woman without children can apply henna? Halise whispers back, look around and tell me if there is a woman here who is happily married and a mother. Ayse pipes up, let Nare do it. She has a daughter and someone that loves her.

Halise goes to Nare, come apply the henna. A shock to both Nare and Sancar. Halise says, do it so that the child they have will be as beautiful as your daughter. Elvan goes to Nare and tells her she must do it, otherwise it will be a shame. This is all very awkward. Nare gets up and approaches the couple. Elvan coaches her, first you give your blessing. Nare applies the henna to Ayse.

Atike complains to Meanie, why do you allow Nare do it? You’re not divorced yet. Meanie doesn’t give a damn about the henna and she tells her mother to shut up. She’s nervous. Why are you nervous, Atike asks, Nare's daughter is with Akin. Meanie gives her mom the bad news, we couldn't complete it. Akin is in the house! Atike gasps.

Gulsiye tells Nare she has to apply the henna to Kavruk, too. Kavruk looks at Zehra with tears in his eyes. Zehra is devastated. Music starts up and Ayse circles the groom with a jug.

Nare has had enough and heads back into the house with Sancar following.

Atike panics, they will find Akin. We are dead. Meanie gasps.

Akin is in the bedroom, still holding Melek. He hears Sancar’s voice outside, Nare are you okay?

Akin gasps in panic.

And we are out.

I only surf in and out OF this show , and I am a little confused about who is who. Are Pat and Richard siblings ? Who is their father? So...It looks like Val might be Helena 's sister since they seem to be hearing the call of the blood while nasty Nora is so different from them both. So...how do we explain Hector and Leo being polar opposites ? Is Richard really dying ?
 

TU AMOR. If Ricardo is dying, Susanlynn, it would certainly be karma. Pat and Ricardo are siblings, but since their mother died early, Pat pretty much raised Ricardo, though she was just a child herself. Sometimes brothers are polar opposites. Maybe it has to do with Leo being "smarter" and better educated than Hector. Again, either Val and Helena are sisters or the writers are laying with us.

Wishful thinking but I hope tonight’s episode has Alicia picking up a lamp (or some heavy object) and knocks Sergio out, saving Gonzalo from further arracks.

"Ricardo seems very sick. Could he really be dying?" That thought had crossed my mind only as his recent (and especially the last) attack seemed grave indeed.

Dondi, terrific job. This tale is tying me up in knots. I guess it's too soon for them to capture Akin, but at least if he leaves Melek in her bed and scampers away like a rat we can get some relief.

I always enjoying watching the zeynep, no matter that the guys hate each other.

When I saw Necdet working scrubbing the walk, I thought maybe this doofus really does have a thing for Gulsiye. Poor girl!

Dondi thank you tbank you for providing us with all tbd detaiks of this tense episode the explanation of Turkish wedding traditions . Wedding traditions in different cultures is fascinating. I used to do a unit on it in speaking class.

Everyone seems to forget tbat Melek should never be alone in tbat mansion with Meanie lurking around, and yet , sbe has been left alone several times . Also, why wouldnt Gulysie be suspicious of Mean Meanie sending a drink for Melek ,whom sbe detests.

I thought tbat Gulysie was giving people hand sanitizer !

Ayse was a happy bride but everyone else was unhappy .

So is Akin going to put Melek back in tbe bed and hide in the closet. ?

SI NOS DEJAN #15 Part 1

The physical fight continues until Alicia drags Sergio off of Gonzo. Sergio and Gonzo call it even because neither will ever forgive the other; Sergio for Gonzo flunking out of med school and Gonzo for Sergio cheating on his mother. Sergio tells Gonzo he is going to have to move out and he will not see one more peso for his support or his schooling. Sergio makes it clear it is still his house and blames Alicia for this problem with Gonzo.

Yuri meets with Martín and recognizes him from somewhere. He explains he works at the news network with her dad and also knows her mom from the school their daughters attend. She identifies herself as Cholo’s lawyer and he as the brother of Cholo’s victim. He will hire the best lawyer in Mexico to see that Cholo pays for his brother’s death.

To add insult to injury, Gonzo follows Sergio out of the house as he leaves and throws his grandfather’s stethoscope down and kicks it along on the ground. Sergo gets the message.Gonzo remarks if his grandfather’s stethoscope and legacy means so much to Sergo, why didn't he study medicine? Gonzo makes it clear that he is the only one in control of his life.

Cholo gets attacked by other inmates while reading Great Expectations during rec time. He retrieves his book and protects it during the beating he receives.

Alicia tends to Gonzo’s bloody mouth. Miranda asks who did that to him. Gonzo says their dad did. Eva takes Sergio’s side against Alicia and Gonzo. Miranda knew that Gonzo hated medicine.Alicia is upset he never told her. He didn't want one more fight.

Yuri says that her client is innocent. There are too many loose ends. Where is the weapon? Where are her client’s finger prints at the crime scene? Martín only knows his bro was killed like a dog and her client is the prime suspect. Yuri thinks his bro’s killer is still out there.

Eva blames Alicia for the Gonzo problem and takes Sergio’s side insisting he has to come back home.

Julieta tries to cheer up Sergio at her place with a little whiskey.Sergio thinks his home is going to hell in a hand-basket because He int there and Alicia lets the kids do whatever. Julieta then has some porcini mushroom pasta to make him smile. He is still bothered not knowing who leaked their relationship to the press. He will find out.

All the usual suspects come to the funeral for a wedding.

DEJAN Part 2

Miranda has a glob of dried blood in her hair. It still hurts when she touches it. She tells her fish about Culebra liking a girl at school and she having to find out who it is. Alicia wants to take her tomorrow to get her hair styled. Alicia wants her help in getting the house back to normal.

Martín apologizes to Karina for canceling their date but avoids any physical contact with her. He is up for ordering a thin crust family size mushroom pizza but that is all. He has work to do. She tells him he has changed with her. He doesn’t think so. He tells her about the meeting with Yuri.Karina asks what if her client really is innocent. Martín is trusting the info from Mujica. Her client is guilty.

Alicia is going over the books for the foundation. Yuri helps her but of course has to put in a good word on her father’s behalf. It sounds like it is Alicia’s fault again. Alicia reminds her what Sergio did. Yuri says she has learned that forgiveness is important at her short time at her job. She thinks that Alicia should turn the page for the good of the family. She is sure her dad is having a much worse time than her.

We see Sergio happily in bed with a sleeping Julieta. It is early morning. He gets up and gets dressed to go to Fabián’s early so Rebeca won’t know that he didn't spend the night at their house. Fabián suggests he gets a divorce from Alicia and move on to lving with Julieta. Sergio doesn’t want his advice but a cup real coffee not the instant kind he just made.

At the breakfast table at Alicia’s, Yuri suggests her mother hire an accountant to go over the books from the foundation. Eva jumps in to criticize Alicia’s involvement at the foundation instead of spending more time on her family, yuri supports her. Alicia notices that Miranda is pale and asks her what is wrong. Miranda says she feels nauseous. Yaya can get her a tea. Gonzo arrives and Eva starts criticizing him. Gonzo asks them all to tone it down because he feels bad enough. Eva can’t shut up and an aggravated Gonzo leaves. Eva tells Alicia to stop babying Gonzo.

Cholo thinks of Yuri. His cellmate gets a phone on loan for him.

Yuri tells Moisés about meeting with Martín and how he works for her father.Moisés has a wedding planner ( Greta) come to work to meet with Yuri. Yuri is not pleased.

Julieta has another scoop for her newsy friend. Martín Guerra is the one who started the gossip about her and Sergio.
 

DEJAN Part 3

Alicia tells Lucas that an outside accountant will be helping her understand the books. She wants a second opinion. He is not pleased. He is insulted and sees her transferring her insecurities from her marriage to the office and making them all pay. Looks like another situation is Alice’s fault. Lucas calls a Cifuentes and puts him on alert about an outsider coming to look at the foundation’s books.

Gonzo brings Lorena up to date about his situation. She wants to help him. Laureano the instructor thought he had dropped the course because he hadn’t paid his tuition yet. Gonzo assures him he will make the payment.

Moisés is much more interested in what the wedding planner has to say than Yuri. A phone call from Cholo rescues her from the boredom of it all. They are both happy to talk to the other.

Sergio touches base with Martín about his report on the foundation.Martín thinks it went very well. Sergio is not too sure. He will have to see it before it airs. He hopes he did a good job this time.

Alicia gets flowers from Sergio at the foundation along with a written apology. She tells Mercedes Lucas’ assistant that she can keep them or throw them out.

Miranda sees El Culebra talking to a blonde at school and is annoyed.

Fedora is still playing a dangerous game with Samuel: allowing him in her house and having sex with him after voicing to him her concerns about his violence. It does no good.

Azote, who is Cholo’s cellmate, calls him on his interest in Yuri as a woman and not only as a lawyer.

Yuri asks Moisés why he didn't let her know the wedding planner was coming. He is ready to get married. They had given themselves ten years and her father wants grand children. He wants her to stay over at his place tonight. They haven't had any together time lately. Yuri says nothing.

Gonzalo and Lorena are happily tempering chocolate and flirting.

Miranda and Ariana are ready to be friends and go to get ice cream.

Sergio is pleased with Martín’s report but they clearly still do not like each other.

 

DEJAN Part 4

Alicia talks to Marcela alone about how Quique has been out of control since her husband El Toro left them a year ago. El Toro was last seen with another woman in Tamaulipas. He had been with her for five years. Marcela might have had her suspicions but she had two kids to raise. Since El Toro left, her life has gone to hell.

Miranda and Ariana talk ove ice cream. Miranda wonders if Nicole is seeing anyone. Ariana wonders why Miranda is asking about Nicole. Ariana thinks that Nicole is pretty and empty-headed but boys will be boys. Ariana gives Miranda the info she wants. There is this guy Diego known as El Culebra who is going after Nicole. Ariana thinks that Nicole likes him, too.

Samuel grabs Fedora’s face hard to remind her that he is to be respected.

Lucas bugs Alicia’s office and threatens Mercedes with the loss of her job if she tells.

Sergio is upset as he tells Julieta that the culprit that blabbed about their relationship has been discovered by somebody ELSE! It is all over the social network. It was Martín Guerra!!!! Julieta smirks as he looks at his laptop.

Julieta is writing in her journal about her fear of failure as a mother since she now failed as a wife . . . She is upset and grabs her cellphone. She calls Martín. He is happy and it looks like Nelson is happy, too. She may regret it later, but she urgently needs to see him. From the grin on his face, it looks like the answer is going to be yes but we will have to wait until Friday to find out.

“He is happy and it looks like Nelson is happy, too” made me smile. We can’t be surprised Alicia called Martin. “Eva blames Alicia for the Gonzo problem and takes Sergio’s side insisting he has to come back home”. Not only is her own mother against her, her eldest daughter mildly supportive (at best), the loathsome Sergio is also viciously feeding into her insecurity as a woman, as a mother and as a wife. Why would she not want to see someone who glows in her presence?

“Sergo gets the message.Gonzo remarks if his grandfather’s stethoscope and legacy means so much to Sergo, why didn't he study medicine?” We’ve wondered and I was sorry Sergio had no retort. I suspect it was because he must have known he could never have succeeded as a doctor.

When the wedding planner and Moises were discussing the wedding details, Yuri was practically snarling. She was cringing at staying at his place. She needs to pull the plug on their relationship which is obvious cannot be resuscitated.

I believe Fedora is a smart woman, yet am perplexed how and why she does not cut Samuel out of her life.

Yeah, I totally believe Julieta actually ate the porcini mushroom pasta. What was she planning on doing, sitting and watching him eat??

Cholo lucked out with Azote. I hope he is around the next time Cholo gets ganged up on, which should be soon.

So I was wrong (what else is new). I thought sure Culebra liked either Miranda or Enigma. The blonde Nicole caught me totally off guard.

Diana, you were not alone in thinking that Culebra was interested in Miranda/Culebra. I hope that Miranda now values friends because they can give you valuable info if nothing else.

I was surprised that Yuri and Moisés had been together so long. Truly the novelty has worn off. I agree that she needs to pull the plug ASAP.

What is Fedora waiting for? A trip to the emergency room? A near death experience? She cannot be that stupid.

I found it interesting that Marcela’s situation with her husband mirrored Alicia’s to such a close degree.

So how is Gonzo planning on paying for his tuition since Daddy is cutting him off? He should have grabbed his charge card/check card that very morning and gone crazy buying what he needed, paying for everything even ahead of time at the school as well as withdrawing enough cash to tide him over. Time for Gonzo to get practical and spend as much as he can while he can.

Embajador S2 #21 part 1

While Akin sweats it out in the bedroom, Nare and Sancar argue outside the door. I can’t stand this any longer, she tells Sancar, I can’t bear it. Let me go once and for all, please. Sancar replies, no, even if I live without you, and I need my daughter, understand? She shouts, I deserve a life with my daughter, don’t you understand? Sancar says he understands. You didn't want this life, he says, I was going to kill that idiot Akin and let you live a life without me. Sancar vows, when I find that bastard, I'll send him to hell—Nare interrupts, it’s enough to see Melek, and she heads for the bedroom door.

She flings the door open and it conceals Akin, who was standing next to it flat against the wall. She tells Sancar not to come but he follows her in. They continue to argue, with Akin just a few feet away. We can see his reflection in the floor mirror, but Sancar and Nare are so caught up in their argument they don’t see.

Once again Sancar tells Nare, he understands. He has tried to put himself in her place. Any other person would have gone mad, he says, but everything will get better. I am going to get divorced, and when I find that—She interrupts him again, you won't find him. You won't be able to do it and I will not be able to get rid of that bastard. Because of that, I won't be able to leave this country. I applied henna to an unhappy couple as if I were the woman of the house. This is ridiculous. Enough! Enough!

Sancar looks past Nare and notices that Melek's lips are purple. They rush to their daughter’s side. Melek? Nare listens to her breathing, it’s slow. Sancar checks her pulse, it’s weak. He scoops up his daughter and the race is on to save Melek. They run past Meanie and her mom, and they disperse the crowd as they rush through the mansion grounds. Everyone is horrified and they follow Nare and Sancar out. Gulsiye turns to look at Meanie and Atike before she joins.

When Sancar gets outside he sees all the guards passed out on the ground with cups all around. He shouts, did Melek drink that lemonade? Elvan nods yes. Sancar, Nare and Melek speed off to the hospital.

Muge realizes that the guards were drugged. Someone must have added sleeping pills to lemonade. Once again, Gulsiye turns to look at Meanie and Atike.

Atike asks her daughter how much she added. It was supposed to put her to sleep, not to kill her.

Flashback. She just has to drink some of the lemonade, Meanie says. She's going to fall asleep really fast. Then she worries that Melek could wake up too soon. So she adds a few more pills to the pitcher. End flashback.

Meanie tells her mom, don’t say that, come with me, we have to get Akin out of the mansion before they find him. Gulsiye follows them.

Nare is in the back seat of the truck, holding Melek as Sancar speeds to the hospital. Little Melek is not doing well. Sancar tells Nare to call an ambulance. They can meet us half way. Nare cries.

Meanie enters the bedroom and looks around. She finds Akin hiding behind the door. Come with me, quickly, she says. As they leave, they run smack into Gulsiye. We get the brief TN pause for effect and then Gulsiye starts to yell, help! Help! Atike solves that problem by hitting Gulsiye on the head from behind with a vase.

Meanie runs out onto the balcony and shouts to the men gathered below, Yahya, Gediz, come quickly! The guards at the gate passed out! They took Melek to the hospital, she was unconscious! Please come quick! Everyone bolts, except for Kman and Necdet. Meanie signals and Akin appears out on the balcony. Kman and Necdet rush up the stairs.

Embajador S2 #21 part 2

Kman pins Akin against a wall and gives him a good shake. He’s furious—did you try to kidnap Melek? Did you try to take her away? Meanie pulls him off Akin and begs him, please help us. Gulsiye saw it all. My mom hit her on the head, but she will wake up soon. We’ll be finished when she tells everything!

Kman is livid, he shouts, how stupid are you! I can't believe, how stupid! Meanie warns him, you’re finished, too, if they discover us. I will tell Sancar that you hid Akin!
Kman calls them morons who acted without thinking of the consequences. He rants, it’s logical that someone did this to Melek on purpose, and it’s obvious it’s Akin. It won’t take long for anyone to realize it. To top it off, someone already saw you! How am I supposed to fix that?!

Akin responds, you always brag that you can fix everything, right? So, behave like you really are Kahraman and save me! Make that girl be quiet, Akin tells him, and if something happens to Melek, we are all going to pay for it! I hope you understand what’s going to happen. Kman growls and breaks another set of beads!

Nare cries and begs her daughter, Melek, please don't go. Stay with me, please, Melek. Hold out a little longer. Nare then says, she has no pulse. She shouts, I can't feel it! Sancar shouts back, how can you not feel a pulse?! Nare is hysterical and begs her daughter to hold on. Sancar keeps driving.

Thank goodness, the ambulance meets up with them and Nare runs with Melek to hand her over. Sancar tells the EMTs that she was drugged with sleeping pills. Melek’s heart has stopped and the EMTs snap into action. They shock Melek several times while the distraught parents helplessly look on. Finally, they get a pulse. Nare rides with Melek in the ambulance and Sancar follows in the truck. [this was hard to watch and recap.]

Everyone is outside the mansion. Elvan tries to reach Nare. No answer. Zehra worries, what if something happened? Elvan replies, shut up, nothing will happen. We will have good news. Halise feels faint and they take her to sit down.

Gediz asks about a car that’s parked in the driveway. Whose is this? Elvan doesn’t recognize it as belonging to the family. Kman speaks up an says it’s his. Gediz spots another strange car and goes over to look inside. He sees the binoculars. He thinks and announces, Akin Baydar was here. Everyone is stunned.

Gediz immediately blames Yahya. He pushes him, you did this? You put the guards to sleep? Yahya defends himself, when could I do it? Gediz demands an answer. Yahya replies, she is my niece, why would I do something like that to her? Gediz reminds him he took Melek to Menekse. Yahya says that’s not the same. He adds, I was out here with everyone, when could I do it? In the middle of the dance?

Gediz looks around for other suspects. He lands on Kman who says, I’ve been with you all night, too. Elvan comes up with a better suspect. She asks Atike, where is your daughter? Atike replies, Menekse is in her room, she has a headache. Gulsiye is with her. What is this, Atike asks? Elvan is asking because it’s a coincidence that she is the only one that is not present.

Elvan accuses, and did your daughter already have that headache when she let Akin in? Or when she put the pills in the lemonade? Or was it later? Atike lies, Menekse has absolutely nothing to do with that man. Why would she let him in? Don’t you dare talk about her like that. Atike physically attacks Elvan! The ladies are pulled apart.

Gediz asks Elvan how could Menekse know him? Elvan snarks, you’re right. How can Akin know a peasant girl? She continues, so who did it? Someone here gave that girl lemonade to drink.

Embajador S2 #21 part 3

Kman says, ladies and gentlemen, instead of guessing, we should focus on the clues. The person's car is here. He could be in the mansion. Let's go and find him. Kavruk tells Nedim to have all the employees look. Check every corner. Kman warns the perp could be armed. He suggests bringing his guards, too. Kavruk rejects that idea; they have their own guards at the other entrance. Everyone is off to find Akin.

Nedim shouts to the guards at the other entrance, Akin is in the mansion. Move now! We see Necdet and Akin hiding behind hay bales. Once the entrance is cleared of guards, Akin makes his move out of the mansion.

The families are back in the mansion. Yahya quietly asks Kman, did you let Akin enter the mansion? Kman denies it. Gediz says he’s going to go out and look, too. Muge looks frightened. [Not sure if she’s frightened because Akin is on the loose or if it’s because Kman is so close. Maybe both.] Kman asks Gediz, do you want me and Yahya to stay here? The women might need us. Gediz reluctantly nods in agreement and leaves with Kavruk.

Necdet hurries up to Meanie’s room. Akin left, he says, let's move on to the next thing. Gulsiye is there, tied up and gagged. Necdet tells her, I'm so sorry. Gulsiye makes muffled screams and struggles as Necdet drags her into the bathroom. He instructs Meanie, you remember what Kahraman said, right? Send Yahya a message. Meanie sends the text.
Downstairs, Kman silently moves his plan forward and motions to Atike. Atike asks Dudu to go up to Menekse. Gulsiye is with her but take some water up, please. Halise thinks it’s ok for Dudu to go, too.

Yahya gets Meanie’s text: “flirting is not enough. I know you're cheating on your wife with Dudu. Come to my room right now, or else I'll tell everyone.” Elvan is watching with curiosity. Yahya excuses himself to use the bathroom. Kman tells Yahya, don't worry, go, I can take care of them all. Kman turns his menacing stare on Muge.

Dudu enters Meanie’s room with the water. Meanie tells her, well done, Dudu. I was very bored here alone. They snark with each other a bit, then Dudu says she doesn’t feel like fighting. She asks Meanie, where is Gulsiye? Meanie answers, she just left, sister-in-law. Dudu looks at Meanie, what do you mean "sister-in-law"?

Yahya enters the room and holds out his phone, what does this mean? Meanie replies with satisfaction, ah, I guessed, but didn't think I was right. You two already slept together. Otherwise, why would the message I sent scare you? Dudu and Yahya look at each other in shock. Dudu asks, what message? Yahya hands her the phone.

Yahya tells Meanie it’s not the time to play games. We don’t know what’s happened to Melek. Why did you call me, he asks? Meanie responds, you know I don't like Elvan but I just wanted to ask. What do you want, Yahya asks? Meanie replies, will you stay with Dudu when you divorce Elvan?

Yahya answers, why would I divorce my wife? Meanie stirs the pot a little more. It’s interesting, she says to Dudu, I thought he took you seriously. So you were just having fun while your wife wasn't watching, Meanie asks Yahya? Did you agree on that?

Yahya firmly tells Meanie, I'm not going to talk to you about this. Dudu is upset. She wants an answer from Yahya. Menekse asked a very good question, she says, were you just using me for fun when your wife wasn't there? Yahya tells her, let's talk later. No, Dudu wants her answer now. Yahya does not want to discuss it. Dudu asks, why did you sleep with me? Because you wanted it, too, Yahya replies. Meanie is enjoying the show. Dudu calls him a damn idiot and she leaves.

Yahya warns Meanie, if you tell anyone about this, I promise I will finish you off. Understand? Meanie smiles, sure, and she zips her lips. Yahya storms off. Meanie checks the phone she hid to record it all and says, I won't say a word, but I can't promise that you won't, right, Gulsiye? Necdet brings a tearful Gulsiye out of the bathroom.

Meanie asks Gulsiye, you heard right? I recorded it on the phone and if you tell someone what happened, I'll tell everyone what your sister did. Dudu is going to lose everything she has, and Elvan will be left without her loving husband.

Meanie orders Necdet to uncover Gulsiye’s mouth and untie her hands. Tell me, Meanie asks Gulsiye, who let Akin in here? Who gave Melek sleeping pills? Gulsiye deliberately answers, I don't know. I didn’t see anything. But then she adds, what you are doing is inhuman, Menekse. [couldn’t have said it better ourselves, Gulsiye!] Inhumanly evil smile from Meanie.

The doctor examines Melek as her parents watch. The nurse brings in the report. Sancar asks, how is she, doctor? Unfortunately, it was an overdose of sleeping pills, he says, we were barely able to save her, she’s still unstable. Sancar asks, is she going to wake up? Nare feeling hopeful, asks, if she’s breathing and her heart beats, she will wake up, right? The doctor responds, we hope so.

Sancar holds on to Nare and says, you hope? Don't tell us what you hope, tell us what you know! Ok, the doctor will be honest. Your daughter's heart stopped, he says, and her brain lacked oxygen for a time. We do not know if there is damage. He adds the chilling news, she could wake up today or could never wake up. Prepare yourselves for everything. The doctor leaves. [Ugh. Another hard scene to watch (and recap), especially for parents. Those of us who’ve been there know.]

Nare sits on her daughter’s bed and cries. Sancar stands and sadly gazes at his daughter. Sancar’s phone rings and Nare tells him it’s Elvan. Give me the phone, she says, she has been calling me and she must be worried. I'll tell her that my daughter is fine. He hands over the phone.

Elvan is relieved Nare has finally answered. She notes that Nare doesn’t sound too worried. How is Melek, she asks? Kavruk and Gediz walk nearby and notice Elvan on the phone. Nare replies, she’s better now. They said she will wake up at any moment. We are just waiting. Elvan laughs at this hopeful news. But then Nare adds, they also told us that she might not wake up.

Kavruk and Gediz approach Elvan; she’s frozen in shock. Then she falters a bit and Gediz and Kavruk move to support her. Nare puts the phone down. She speaks to Melek and cries, but my daughter is going to wake up. My daughter is coming back to me, right? Nare strokes her daughter’s hair. You're not going to leave me here alone, are you? Tell them, Melek, you are going to wake up. Elvan and Gediz cry.

Nare is still crying, resting her head on Melek and begging her to wake up. Sancar wipes his tears and lifts Nare. Look at me, he says, look at me. Listen to me, listen to me. Give me your hand. Come on, he urges her, do it. Give me the other one. Hold our daughter’s hands. Please don't cry anymore, Nare.

We are going to hold our daughter, Sancar tells Nare, and she is going to wake up. We just have to wait. She is a strong girl, she will be okay. She will wake up. He adds with a smile, our daughter is special, thanks to you. Nare says, I need to ask for a miracle for her. Sancar tells her he’s going to ask, too.

Sancar leaves the hospital. He looks up at the night sky, then he starts to walk, shedding his jacket.

Jarifa, I was hoping Miranda chose to accept a friend for companionship. I'm a bit disappointed as it seems she only wanted to get the scoop on Culebra. Her goldfish might be a good listener but am confident, is incapable of dispensing any sound advice :) I don't sense Miranda is a gracious loser (in gaming or in life) so I look forward to seeing how she fights for Culebra.

Your comments on Fedora are all very plausible. It's too bad Gonzalo is wrapped up in his own problems now, he seemed to sense something was very wrong. Perhaps the other two amigas will come to the rescue.

I'm afraid I already know the answer to this but does Alicia have money of her own to help Gonzalo or does Sergio control the purse strings??

looking so lifeless. This show has become so hopeless and tragic . It is too painful to watch. Now a child s life is threatened all because of a man's obsession of her mother. Awful.

Dondi, you are a gifted writer. I had to look away at times from Melek and her parents. Too sad. I did not expect this. I need to see Meneske, Atike, and Akin underneath the prison for this. Necdet, at the least, feels bad about Gulsiye, so I give him life in prison.

Nare must forgive Sancar. If not for Sancar's keen, loving look at his daughter who knows what would've happened...? Sancar did a foul thing back when he rejected Nare but he was young and a victim of his culture and the lies of her father.

I'm hoping Sancar and Gediz will unite over this, at least long enough to get Akin. What will Yahya do? If he does not confess to Sancar about Dudu and the game Meanie is playing, he's a worse fool than ever.

Susanlynn, is that you above? I've learned to turn away from the screen when things get too rough. I watch TNs for fun escape, not this. I hope we get a time jump to when Melek wakes up.

This was a very tough episode to watch and I admit to changing channels a couple of times for relief. I was afraid Sancar would hv a wreck driving Mekek to the hospital on that mountain road. And I wanted to tell Nare to tone it down in the backseat - while totally understandable, that behavior isn’t helpful in an emergency. But the actors really made you feel that anguish. Thank you Dondi for recapping all that, it took strength!

And thank you for filling in the areas Uni cut out!!! That prayer at the end was so important! I can’t believe they cut that out—it just looked like he wandered down the street in shock and the show was over. Uhrrrg!

I agree that Nare has to forgive San for the sake of the daughter they both love for all the reason s you gave. She knows that San would die for her and Me!ek. The adults have to stop fighting each other and protect Me!ek. If Melek doesn't recover, I am done with this show. Reality is harsh enough . I don't need to watch this suffering and torment of a child in the middle of these feuding adults . Basta.

The pre-emptions are horrible but this time they allow me to catch up. Thanks to RGV Chick and Diana.

Alicia should evict her mother yesterday. In her place I would have knocked Eva into next week. She does not have her daughter's best interests at heart. The right lawyer could help her take Serjerk to the cleaners leaving no fat bank balance for Juleech.

I still have trouble watching Ayala and Gruber getting their freak on after 122 episodes of them as father and daughter. Is there any past example of this?

Quique"s mother is probably afraid of him.

I have the feeling that Alicia doesn't know that Serjerk is Lucas' sperm donor. Shades of PyP and all hell could break loose when she finds out.

Nelson is such a beautiful furbaby. He deserves more screen time.

It also looks like Gabriela Spanic will be the star of the next edition of Crimes of Fashion. I will be grabbing shots until I have enough.

Lucas needs to lose this job, but he's probably keeping it by blackmailing Serjerk with the threat of telling Alicia.

Culebra is going to feel like a prize I'd jo t when he finds out that "Enigma" is a girl.

Chiquis should run for her life. Juleech is capable of spitting venom at a second's notice.

Of course Diablo wanted that line cut; he probably has the same respect for women as Serjerk.

The fight between Serjerk and Gonzalo was truly ugly. The words exchanged were even uglier. Serjerk has to learn that his children are people and not puppets. Nor is Alicia, but it is tha nature of narcissists to assign their own failings to others.
 

TU AMOR ep 44 part 1

Valentina questions Guillermo's intentions and tells him she's not interested in his proposal. He says for him, the news was also disconcerting. Why, Nora asks, does it bother you that you could be the father of one of us? Valentina wonders why he's worried about having a daughter now. He says before he received Juan's message he didn't know she existed. When he finds his daughter, he'll give her his name and she'll live in his house. And if you get angry will you kick us out like you did to Helena?, Nora asks.

Rosamaria tells Adelaida that she's given Ricardo medicine to lower the pain. She'll have to do more studies because his condition isn't improving. His symptoms are increasing. It's much more serious than they thought. If the attacks continue he might not be able to recover and could fall into a coma. He could even die.

Guillermo proposes DNA analysis. Valentina has nothing against Guillermo but considers her only parents to be Juan and Chelita. Nora agrees. Guillermo says he's not trying to replace anyone, especially Juan, and if his daughter doesnt want to live with him he would respect her decision. Guillermo says the memory he's kept of Maria Amparo is the best he's had in his entire life. He sits down sadly after the girls leave.

At Consuelo's house, Hector tells his mother that he's been thinking about what Mina said. About returning to school? Yes. Connie urges him to do it. He's always dreamed of becoming a mechanical engineer. He says it sounds easy but he has responsibilities. She says he left his studies for many reasons. He took over for him when his father died. He paid for Camila and Leonardo to go to school. Connie says, You do everything for Mina. Now it's your turn, why do I have a sewing machine, if not to help you out? Hector says he hasn't sacrificed anything for Mina. She's a star that was sent from heaven. They're so lucky to have her. The things he does for her is out of joy. For him, she's the most important thing there is. Mina hears this, runs to him and tells him she loves him.

Horacio has had a few too many Tequilas and is pontificating to Claudio. You should marry that girl. Buy her a house. I've got many and will give you a good price. Plan a life with her. Buy a little car and bring her on Sundays. Claudio laughs and asks him if he's serious. Horacio has had the same truck for years and now he's telling Claudio to buy a car, an apartment, a house? Horacio says he just wants him to be happy. Turn off the light, Horacio says, I want to show you something. Grab the shelf, it's on wheels. Claudio is blown away by the secret room. He asks his father to explain. Horacio says it's a long story and he'll tell him later, but, it's important that he knows all this treasure is his. This is your inheritance, from my grandfather, from my father. Claudio says the best thing he got from Horacio was his love and care and he doesn't need anything else. The thing he doesn't understand is that his father has so much, why doesn't he use it? Because it's cursed, says Horacio. The curse prevents Horacio from using it but not Claudio.
 

TU AMOR ep 44 part 2

While Hector works out, Connie urges him to call Helena. He says he can't have a relationship with someone who doesn't trust him. Or Patricia, says Connie. He says he couldn't just leave Patricia alone at the hospital but Helena wouldn't let him explain. Connie tells him that if his father were here he'd tell him to never give up like he used to say when they played together on the patio. The phone rings and it's Pat. She needs him to pick her up. Connie asks why she keeps calling Hector. There are cabs all over the city. He says money is tight. He doesn't have the luxury of saying no. He picks up Pat and she kisses him before getting into the car.

Leonardo tells Yolanda that he was fired by Helena all because he raised his voice a little. And what do you want me to do, she asks, defend you like a little boy? It's your problem. He says he thought that she would hire him. Oh, wow, she says, well you thought wrong. I'm the one who thinks and gives the orders here. I don't know if you have to beg, get on your knees or ask forgiveness, but convince her to let you keep working there. You're no use to me if you're not in Helena's workshop. Look dear, you're the one that keeps me informed of Helena's movements and your mistake could cost us dearly.

Hector takes Patricia to a bar and they share a table. A man sends over a drink and Hector says she has an admirer. She asks about Helena and he claims she's not his novia. She asks if he is serious and leaves for the bathroom. On her way, the guy that bought her a drink grabs her arm and she asks him to let her go. Hector tells him not to touch her, grabs his lapels and pushes him back. They start to tangle and some other men have to hold them apart. Pat tells him to calm down and not to do anything. A cop tells him to stop or he'll have to go with him. I don't know who let this guy in, says the stranger. Hector tries to free himself and refuses to go. Pat says he was only defending her and the stranger calls her a liar. The police drag him and Hector from the bar.

Claudio thinks his dad is a little big to believe in superstitions. It's what my father, general Barrios, told me, Horacio answers. The same as my grandfather told him. He's the captain over there. He was in the north division and they found all this in a hacienda in Durango. The officials divided it up but my grandfather, who was as thrifty as me, kept his. The others spent theirs and they all died tragically. He realized it was haunted. Why do you want to give it to me if it's cursed?, Claudio asks. Ah, the curse only passes from father to son by blood. You were adopted so nothing will happen to you, Horacio explains. Well cursed or not, Claudio says he can't accept the treasure. But he'll need it if he keeps helping people and paying their debts, Horacio says. Take this, he says, handing him a toy rocking horse. It's the only thing clean and pure in this place. My father gave it to me and I'm giving it to you. I ask only one thing. Don't tell anyone about this treasure. Don't wait until I die to enjoy something we could enjoy together. When Val and Nora return from dinner they can see that Horacio has been drinking. He goofs around with Nora and asks what Guillermo told them. That one of us is his daughter, says Nora. Horacio looks at Valentina in shock.
 

TU AMOR ep 44 part 3

Hector and Patricia have been at the police station for an hour and the police have already let the other guy go. He told the cops that Hector started the fight. Pat explains to the police lawyer that he was only defending her. And what are you to him?, the lawyer asks. His novia, obviously, she responds. Well, you better control him better, señora. He caused public scandal and property damage. He's lucky he's not accused of bodily harm. Why won't you let me go?, asks Hector, my mother and daughter are going to be worried about me. Because you resisted arrest, the lawyer tells him, you should think before committing a crime. None of this merits jail, says Pat as she pulls some money from her wallet. How much will it take to be done with this affair? You see?, the lawyer tells Hector, take good care of your girlfriend, you don't find women like her every day. Hector thanks Patricia for keeping him out of jail but did she really have to say they were novios? We're amigos right? He wants to take her home because he has to work. She thinks he's trying to get rid of her. She tells him to remember what the lawyer told him about her.

Hector drops her off and heads to Helena's. She's asleep on the couch when he rings the bell. She tells him through the door that she doesn't want to talk to him so he can leave. Well, he's not going to leave. He wants to explain. He's going to start counting to 1000. This makes her smile. She calls his name when he reaches the end but he doesn't answer. She opens the door and they kiss. She asks him who he thinks he is coming to her house like this? The guy who loves you, he says. She says she believed it once, but he's made fun of her over and over. He says he would never do that. If he offended her he's sorry. Sometimes he can be stupid but that doesn't change the love he has for her. And you love me too, he says. She shakes her head yes and they kiss again.

Adelaida asks Guillermo how the dinner went. He tells her that Valentina was the most affected. She doesn't want to do the test. So what are you going to do?, Adelaida asks. He says he doesn't want to insist. He thinks Nora will get tested though. Adelaida asks him what he thinks and what he feels now that he's been with the two of them. He says it's true that he would like it to turn out that Valentina is his daughter but he has to recognize that Nora's character is very similar to his. Authoritarian. He needs to give them time. Who?, asks Patricia coming from Ricardo's room. My brother? Because his time is coming to an end. He's bad. Really bad.

Valentina asks Horacio what she is going to do. He thinks she has no choice but to face things. She says for her, Guillermo isn't her father. Her father is always going to be Juan. She's worried because Guillermo asked them to do an analysis and she thinks Nora wants to do it. Val doesn't want to know. She's not interested. Horacio says that if it were him, he would want to know who his daughter was. Claudio asks her if she's afraid of finding out her parents weren't her biological ones. She says shes not afraid, they've seen the photo, they knew something like this was going to happen. She's sad though that she might not have a father or a mother and that Nora might not be her sister. Nora asks her later what they will do when they find out. Val says they'll never be apart. She asks Nora not to take the test. Nora wants to do it. She wants to know if they are sisters. Val says no matter what happens, they'll always be sisters.
 

TU AMOR ep 44 part 4

Val can't sleep and opens one of Chelita's letters: "Dear brother. If only you were here with me. Today we're celebrating the birthday of one of my girls. Today we gave her a humble but very nice celebration. You don't know how happy I am with them. I already told you that one of them is Maria Amparo's daughter but Juan and I decided that it's best if neither she nor anyone know it because for us, the two occupy the same place in our heart. I hope that soon you can meet them." Valentina wonders which of them is Maria and Guillermo's daughter. Her heart tells her that she's the daughter of Juan and Chelita.

Ricardo is in Rosamaria's office. What she has to tell him isn't going to be easy, she says. He wants to know what is happening to him. Why are his symptoms increasing? The tomography has detected a new aneurism in the lateral lobe and the damage is irreparable. That's something we made up, he says. You told me it would help me get back Valentina by saying I'm going to die but it's not true. You were going to stay with Claudio. Yes, that was the plan, she tells him, you don't know how much I regret this diagnosis. This is serious. What was false has become reality. You could die at any moment.

Valentina is in Helena's office. She's in a great mood and asks Val to tell her how the dinner went last night. Val hesitates and Helena asks if there was a problem. No, Val says, don Guillermo was very nice. Helena thinks it's strange that he invited them. Valentina says he had something very important to tell them. Something that affected them a lot. Her, her sister, and Helena too. What happened, Helena asks, you're scaring me. Val takes her hand and finally tells her, My father confessed to yours, that either Nora, or I, one of the two, is don Guillermo's daughter.

Serjerk is incapable of seeing how wrong he is about anything... and everything.

Yuri needs a reality check about her father and his marriage.

Alicia should send Eva on a round-the-world cruise. That would get her out of her hair for at least a year. If she goes with Fedora that would be a good thing: Fedora could give her some cougar lessons.

Juleech is just as big a narcissist as Serjerk. If they end up living together they will be each other's hell.

I knew Lucas had to be cooking the books. Could he be laundering money? That's such a popular subplot these days.

Moises and Yuri for the past 10 years? I guess she's bored. However I would think that Serjerk is too vain to want to be an abuelo.

Miranda is heading for a crash point over her deceptions and her accident. The nausea sounds bad.

I agree that Fedora is headed for an ER visit. Samuel is a nuclear bomb with a very short fuse.

Juleech made that pasta dish? Are we sure those porcinis aren't toadstools?

Cholo will suffer more before getting freed.

I hope that Alex Perea doesn't actually have those tattoos.

Not much to say or add....this was just a horrible epi to watch because I child was injured and the perps ...mainly Meneske gave less than a rats ass about the welfare of that child. How stupid of her to put pills...let alone extra pills in that drink and then ...to carry on to cover up her horrible deed. Please let her get a real good beat down before she's carted off to jail. Divorce and poverty is not enough punishment. She deserves prison and mental torment for the rest of her life. And we know Akin deserves nothing but death.

I thought that Guillermo's remark that he hopes Val is his daughter, but he realizes that he and Nora have similar personalities. So true! Is it possible that surgery will turn out to be possible for Ricardo? I doubt that Rosamaria is lying this time. If Hector was doing pre-engineering studies, he's probably not as dense (at least intellectually) as he seems. I THOUGHT that police lawyer was hinting at a bribe. Yet another dig at the Mexican justice system--so common in novelas.

SaraAnne, I hate those edits and the constant mistranslations. You are right, that last scene with Sancar’s walk to the mosque and his complete prayer was important. It should have been shown in its entirety and with no commercial interruption.

Nett, I wouldn’t mind seeing Meanie get slapped a couple of times. Maybe Nare, Elvan and Gulsiye can take turns.

There were three things I always had tumbling around in my head when I watched and I wondered which, if any, would come true:

Nare telling Gediz on the plane: “it’s a legend if one of them dies, it’s a lie if they both live.”

The Romani woman in Podgorica placing Nare’s and Sancar’s hands over the others’ heart and saying, “something is missing, but one day you will become one.”

Sancar telling Nare: “If you leave, I will become a very bad man.”

JoelD, you conveyed all of the actions and the conversations perfectly. I was on the edge of my seat smiling and nodding as you clarified so many questions I had. Just amazing.

Guillermo wasn’t the only one who revealed monumental news, Horacio had his own blockbuster secret!

“And if you get angry will you kick us out like you did to Helena?, Nora asks”. I don’t believe I’ve ever cheered anything Nora has said or done but I did so here.

I think Guillermo had some sense that his shocking revelation would not be received with hugs and kisses. I don’t blame Valentina for not wanting to take the DNA test. And while I unkindly suspect Nora wants to do it solely for the riches, I cannot condemn her either. Saying his newly found daughter is going to live with him? These are grown women, not children. Presumptuous even though meant with good intentions.

“She's a star that was sent from heaven. They're so lucky to have her. The things he does for her is out of joy” made my eyes mist. From his rather cold austere behavior to Helena, I wouldn’t have thought him capable of such sentiment. And yet, from those lovely stated words to “Hector thanks Patricia for keeping him out of jail but did she really have to say they were novios? We're amigos right?” His failure – unwillingness or inability to see the truth is astounding and disappointing.

We now see Hector sacrificed and much of it for Leo, who is so not worthy. “If Hector was doing pre-engineering studies, he's probably not as dense (at least intellectually) as he seems”. Perceptive comment SpanProf. He tries to be stoic and stern but his quick to anger tendencies are troublesome.

Horacio has now shared the key to the hidden kingdom of riches beyond one’s wildest dreams. Even after hearing the rather far fetched theory that as Claudio was adopted the “curse” won’t affect him, Claudio wants nothing to do with the money! Imagine the good he could do – I hope he reconsiders.

We saw Ricardo rapidly deteriorating so at this point, hope that he will use whatever time is left to make amends and try and repair some of the damage he’s caused. His sister, Camila and others care about him and he will have comfort and support should he choose to accept it.

Susanlynn, Patricia's father died in the plane crash. At the crash, he told Ricardo he wasn't his father (he seemed to hate Ricardo). I'm not sure who is real father is perhaps SpanProf or Joel can answer.

I guess i could keep watcbing if like most Mexican telenovelas, awful things happen to the good people, but in tbe end, love conquers all, the good get happy endings , and the evil ones are punished. However, i dont want to watch another show like Amor Eterno in which awful things happen to the good people....and the there is a really awful ending . To depressing. i need to see some happiness.







 

TU AMOR Hi everyone. I loved all the comments. I know it's hard to keep track of everyone. Susanlynn, at this point I don't know who is a real parent and who isn't but Diana is right. The father of Patricia and Ricardo is named Armando. He was a mean faced guy that owned the ranch. He owed a ton of money to Guillermo due to gambling debts. Worse, his own son, Ricardo embezzled from him and put the money in an account under Valentina's name. Another connection is that Patricia was married to Guillermo's son Alfonso. He seemed like a nice guy and had a close relationship with his sister Helena. Juan, the father of Valentina and Nora, worked for Armando. He managed the day to day operations of the ranch.

Susanlynn, no message, no spoiler. Just those three things that stuck with me throughout the show and I wondered.

I watched Amor Eterno in Turkish (Kara Sevda) and the ending ruined it for me. I see there are a number of us here that can't get over it. We all keep bringing it up! That wasn't the only Turkish series or movie I've seen that had a bad, sad ending. But I have also seen some very good ones with happy endings.

I always worry when I start a new Turkish drama, especially if the actors are favorites.
