Ep 12: Confrontations and Warnings Part 1

Bigwig, puckered lips, Eva enters Juleech’s apartment stating that she is Alicia’s mother and her lover’s MIL; she knows it was Juleech was the one who leaked the info since she is the only one who would benefit. Juleech, of course, denies and blames it on the competition. Insults are exchanged. Eva knows exactly what kind of woman Juleech is...and SerJerk will never leave his wife for the likes of her. When Juleech insists that SerJerk loves her, Eva argues that he only loves what she represents…younth and beauty…and he only wants to satisfy his basic instincts. She warns Juleech that someday SerJerk will have a heart attack from taking all those little pills. Juleech thinks that Alicia sent Eva …and tells Eva the get out of her house. Eva warns that Juleech better stay out of their lives or she will personally make sure that Juleech regrets every second of her life. After all those daggars, Juleech seems to be the only one a bit scathed as she wipes away one sole crocodile tear.

Culebra carries Enigma out of his hangout.

Alicia is still with Carlota who asks what would be the worst thing that could happen if SerJerk were to leave permanently. Alicia thinks that everything would be derailed…and she wouldn’t be able to control her children, especially Miranda who is right smack in the middle of adolescence. Carlota advises that the only way Alicia can control her children is to take control of her own life; she needs to work on her self-esteem….possibly get a job or focus on whatever goals she had for herself before giving her body and soul to her husband.

Diablo thinks that Martin is crazy to fall in love with Alicia; he warns that falling in love with this woman could cause Martin lots of problems. Martin should look for a young woman….la novio, like the cop. After Martin insists, Diablo pleads with Martin to give up on Alicia. Just then, Maruja calls Martin since she is worried about Facundo who left the house very depressed after their discussion about Simon. Martin tells her that he will be right over. Before he leaves, Diablo advises him once more to forget about Alicia.

Facundo is at the bar when Mujica comes in and joins him since Facundo called him. Facundo wants to know if Simon was into any bad business…since he is a cop at heart and knows that no rock should be left unturned. Mujica tells him that they have found nothing…it was a basic armed robbery that killed Simon. After Facundo leaves, it is obvio that Mujica is hiding something.

Culebra enters the hospital carrying Enigma and shouting out for HELP!!

Moises chides Yuri for going to Cholo’s house by herself and putting herself in harm’ sway. He doesn’t like how Yuri is handling the case and asks her to swear that she won’t return to Cholo’s house. When Yuri fails to respond, Moises threatens to take her off the case.

Gonzo tells Lorena that he failed his test…he needed to tell someone and she was the first he thought to call. When Lorena asks what is the worst that could happen, Gonzo replies that his father will take it as a betrayal and a disappointment; his father will never allow him to be a chef since he thinks that the kitchen is for only for women. Lorena assures him that whatever happens, she will be there to listen to him.

At the hospital, Enigma wakes up to a nurse who comments that Enigma drank too much and refers to Enigma as “senorita”. Outside Culebra asks about his friend but the doc tells him that they need to get contact info so that they can talk to Enigma’s family. After the doc leaves, Culebra sneaks into the room and looks closely at Enigma whose blood has leaked through the bandages. Culebra goes to look through her bag, but Enigma surprises him and tells him that she needs to leave the hospital. He agrees to help her.

 

Ep 12: Confrontations and Warnings Part 2

Culebra helps Enigma out of the emergency room, but Enigma needs to go to the restroom.

Yuri is very upset that Moises is threatening to take her off the case. Moises chides her since he has never known a woman who is so disinterested in her own wedding. Yuri tells him that everything that is happening in her house is scaring her.

Cholo is reading the book that Yuri gave him as his cellmate teases him about reading a romance novel.

The doc sees the empty room and asks for the young boy. The nurse tells him that it was no boy, it was a girl

The three amigas meet . Rebeca mocks that SerJerk for asking for his kiwi; and Fedora thinks Alicia should allow Serjerk to take care of himself. Alicia mentions her visit with the therapist and shares the advice Carlota gave her.

Facundo is upset that Maruja called Martin; they are treating him like a weakling! When Facundo mentions he talked to Mujica, Martin reminds him that he is going to take care of finding out the truth behind Simon’s murder, but Facundo is adamant that he is going to find out what really happened.

Yuri meets with SerJerk and tells him that she misses him. SerJerk wishes he could return home and asks that Yuri help him convince her mother to let him back. When Yuri asks about Julieta, Serjerk tells her that it is the same with any man his age—her youth and her beauty captivated him. One day they drank too much and that worst that could happen happened. SerJerk evolves into a bigger jerk when he accuses Alicia of concentrating on being the perfect wife and let herself go. Surprisingly, Yuri finally defends Alicia and tells him that her mother has always been a beautiful woman. When Yuri asks him if he still loves her mother, SerJerk assures her that he loves her with all his might.

Culebra and Enigma return to his hangout. He offers to take her home, but she refuses. He then mentions her tattoo so she tells him that the fish is her best friend. Culebra thinks that he should now be her best friend.

Gonzo and Lorena walk through the park. She thanks him for thinking of her when he needed to talk to someone. He tells her that he felt a strong connection with her the first time they met…and they kiss!

Eva returns home and tells Emiliano that she was the one who told SerJerk to have him come help Alicia. She tells Emiliano that when he is with Alicia, he is to say only good things about SerJerk.

Lalo storms into Juleech’s apartment and is very upset because his boss is trying to make reveal his source ...and wants him to make a statement that his info was false. Lalo tells Juleech not to get him involved in her schemes anymore!

Martin talks to Nelson about his love woes and asks for his opinion.

Emiliano tells Alicia that SerJerk sent him to help her with anything that she needed. After Alicia enters the house, she asks Mirando if she is okay. She offers to bring Miranda something from the store and when she returns, they can watch a movie. After Alicia leaves, and Miranda gets up and there is blood on her pillow!

 

Ep 12: Confrontations and Warnings Part 3

Rebeca enters the guestroom where SerJerk is staying and sees his things are still there. She calls Fabian who tells her that he is NOT going to ask his friend, SerJerk, to leave.

SerJerk talks to Diablo and tells him that he thinks Martin was the one who leaked the info since Martin caught him and Juls kissing. He wants Martin out of the program! Fabian refuses to fire Martin. He tells SerJerk to clean up his mess …and that does not include getting rid of Martin or Diablo will leave too!

Juleech approaches Martin and feigns resentment for his leaking the info to the press.

Emiliano follows Eva’s orders; he tells Alicia that SerJerk is not well…he is always tired and sad. He just thought she should know.

Gonzo tells Lorena that he was really dying to kiss her…and they kiss some more!

Now leaving the store, Alica leaves a message for Gonzo asking about his test. A little girl, Luna, approaches and asks to help her with the bags…and she will even recite a poem written by Manuel Acuña! After Luna puts the bags in the car and finishes her poem, Alicia asks if she will accompany her to another place.

Juleech complains to SerJerk about Eva...he’d better put a stop to his meddling MIL! After Serjerk assures her that he will take care of it, she asks if he has found out anything about who leaked the information. He replies that he was not allowed to talk to Lalo, but they are going to send out a retraction. When Juls feigns concern that SerJerk may be accused of pressuring the press, SerJerk thinks that the important thing is that no one ever mention a romance between the two of them again.

Diablo meets with Martin and again and tells him to forget about Alicia…or Martin can give up his job.

Alicia takes Luna with her to the foundation. As they walk passed a bigger that life size picture of SerJerk, Aicia frowns. They are met by Mercedes who offers Alicia coffee while she sees if Lucas is available, but Alicia assures Mercedes that Lucas IS available to see her. As Alicia enters Lucas’s office he is looking at internet articles about SerJerk. Alicia introduces Luna who is out in the streets instead of studying; Alicia thinks Luna is a perfect candidate for a grant from the foundation. When Lucas tells her that it will have to wait for the following year, Alicia puts her foot down and tells him that, as director, she is ordering that Luna be considered right away. He is to get information from Luna so that he contact her parents. Luna interjects that they can only talk to her mother since her father, El Toro, has left the home. Lucas growls that Alicia has no clue as to how things are done, but Alicia counters that she IS the director and if she doesn’t know how things are done, then he will teach her.…because she is taking her role as director and he will see her there every day from now on!

The poem Luna recited is the tenth verse of "Hojas Secas" (Dried Leaves) written by Manuel Acuna. Here is the verse:

TU AMOR ep 41 part 1

When Claudio finds Ricardo kissing Valentina, he tells him to get out of his house before he knocks him out. Don't provoke me, he says, you don't know what I'm capable of. When Ricardo leaves Val says she didn't know he was going to kiss her. What did you expect?, Claudio responds, how could you be so naive? She says that she's done nothing to regret or be embarrassed by. There was a knock on the door, she opened it, and Ricardo came in. Anyway, thanks for all the trust.

Leonardo finds Majo arranging snacks for the models. He asks for Helena. Majo says she'll be there soon. She has to dodge a kiss from Leo and leaves to get someone to load the snacks on a truck. Leonardo scans the packages until he finds the name he's looking for. He opens it up, takes out a syringe, and injects a clear liquid into some of the food. He's interrupted by a security guard looking for Helena. The guard needs to tell Helena that the security cameras didn't record anything because they were disconnected. Leo tells him if it happens again, he'll have to report him as an accomplice to theft. When he leaves, Leo admits to himself that he disconnected the cameras and continues to inject more food. When the principal model starts to feel sick he tells Nora to get ready. Later, he tells Helena that their only option is to bring Nora into the show.

Enrique has just asked Patricia to marry him. He asks her what's so funny. He knows he isn't being romantic but he's serious. She tells him it means a lot to her and as for romance, they've had that for years. She just doesn't think he's thought everything through. He says he doesn't say the first thing that pops into his head like her taxi driver from the barrio. She says it's just not the right moment for them to be married. FOR HER, he says, first it was because of her father, later because of Alfonso, now why not? Because they're working on a deal that will allow them to live happily in the most beautiful corners of the world. He says as soon as that deal starts to advance.... What do you mean?, she asks. Enrique tells her that the first funds from Guillermo's foundation is ready for transfer to their account. But he warns her that if she's not his, to forget about the money. He's risking his freedom for her. She says she'll give him a complete vote of confidence. Is she going to stop seeing that cabbie?, he asks. No, she'll let him put all the money in a secret account in his name only. He says that sounds so pretty, so poetic except for one detail. If they're discovered, the only one going to jail would be him. She says there's no risk for him. He could take the money and leave her with nothing. OK, he says, then let's but the account in both our names. She explains they can't do that because she's a suspect in the embezzlement of her father's business. She's so happy, because for the first time in her life a man has risked everything for her.

Ricardo phones Valentina at work. She asks him what Rosamaria said. Shouldn't he see other doctors to get other opinions? He agrees but says he doesn't want to go by himself. He also doesn't want Patricia to find out. Val says that's not right. She's his sister and should know. Ricardo says he only trusts Val. If she goes with him he'll do all the tests and take the treatments they give him. She agrees to go with him but only as friends. If he tries anything clever, he'll never see her again. She says she'll talk to Claudio and tells herself that she can't let Ricardo die alone.

Majo is still trying to get Helena to call Hector. She says she knows she wants to. If Helena doesn't invite him she will, she says and grabs Helena's phone. She calls Hector and hands the phone to Helena. She invites him to the show and he tells her he'd love to go with her.

Consuelo is with Camila at the kitchen table. She must have just told her about Ricardo because Camila is really upset. She asks why life is so unfair. Ricardo survived the accident and will now die in it's aftermath? Connie says if that's his destiny they have to accept it. No, Cami says, I love him with all my soul. Connie reminds her that she just met him. How could she love him so much? She's confused. What she is feeling is gratitude because he saved her. Camila says no, she loves him. Connie tells her that she needs to understand that Ricardo doesn't know he's dying. But, Cami insists, he has a right to know. If she doesn't tell him who will? He has the right to know and she's going to tell him. She runs from the room and heads for Claudio's office. He sits her down and asks her what's wrong. Her mother just told her about Ricardo. She wants Claudio to understand that it's very sad and very hard to survive an accident and find out later that you're dying. He agrees but what can he say? That's life. Where is she going with this? She takes his hands and tells him he's the most noble and altruistic man she's ever known. She wants to ask him, beg him, implore him to let Ricardo have his one last desire in life, to marry Valentina. How can you ask me that, Camila?, says Claudio. What you're asking is absurd. It's only for a little while, she replies, it's for a good cause. He says, She's not some object, Camila, and she's in love with me. Cami says it sounds horrible when he says it like that. That's because it IS Camila, don't you realize it? She says she thought it was a basic act of humanity. She says how sad that he's so selfish, and leaves. Claudio goes to his mother's grave. He wants her to be proud of him but giving up Valentina would be like giving up a piece of himself. He doesn't know what to do. Why does love have to hurt so much?

Patricia meets Ricardo in the backyard. He says he thought she was with Enrique. She says he just left for the office. She asks him if he's going to Helena's tonight. He tells her he wouldn't miss it for the world. She asks him if he thinks Valentina and Nora will show up again. He hopes so. Will he renew his relationship with Valentina? Of course. He still loves her. Pat asks if he's considered that for Val, he's dead. Maybe she started a new life with another man. He says his story has been all over the web. He's sure she's going to be looking for him.

Leonardo is speaking with Nora in a dressing room. She needs to be made up like a model, not like she's selling tamales. She needs to be ready. And please, don't wear those horrible extensions. What if I do?, Nora asks, Helena isn't going to let me model. We're not going to ask permission, Leo says. Uriel finds them and tells Nora he doesn't want her in the dressing rooms. He asks her to please go backstage and she leaves. Leo tells Uriel he better hurry things up. Uriel says Leo shouldn't tell him what to do because he doesn't know how everything is organized. Leo becomes angry and tells him not to speak to him like that and after this is over, he's fired. Uriel says only Helena can fire him. Leo says he'll say it again, if Uriel talks to him like that again they're going to have a problem. Uriel says Leo talks to him that way and he's not his servant. Leo says nothing will give him more pleasure than to see him fail. Uriel says, if Helena fails, they lose everything, but thanks for your good wishes.

You did not run out of the gate Rgv Chick, you flew with “Bigwig, puckered lips, Eva “ which thoroughly delighted me. I loved the tongue lashing to “Juleech” (which I smile at every time I see it). Poor, put upon Juleech.

An extraordinary recap. Your taking the time and effort to translate the poem was so indicative of all the care you invest in your incredible summaries.

“SerJerk evolves into a bigger jerk when he accuses Alicia of concentrating on being the perfect wife and let herself go”. So, if Alicia has “let herself go” please let me emulate her completely. He is beyond disgusting. Yes, at least Yuri stood up for Alicia.

I think Yuri is backing off from the wedding because not only is Moises a jackass, she realizes she is developing feelings for Cholo.

I did not realize Lucas worked for the foundation. So Sergio has hidden him in plain sight.

I loved Alicia standing her ground and telling the little weasel she is large and in charge.

Miranda never should have left the hospital – there are going to be consequences. Brain bleeds can kill.

Gonzo seems to be finding happiness – good for him.

Martin is at a standstill, I wonder what will happen to get him moving.

Guillermo tells Enrique that he has an appointment to update his will. Shouldn't he wait a little?, asks Enrique. How can I wait?, says Guillermo, that damn beeper isn't going off. I'm never going to know my true daughter. I'm never going to kiss her or tell her that I didn't know she was coming into the world. Enrique says he thought he didn't want to know about her, or is it that the mother didn't want him near her? Guillermo tells him he would never have known except for Juan's message telling him he had a daughter. He understands why Juan didn't tell him which one was his. It was to protect them both. He says he'll protect them both even after the DNA test. He just needs to tell her that if he knew of her existence, neither she, nor her mother, would have ever lacked for anything. Enrique asks if he's considered that this new daughter might not want to know anything about him. It's not every day that a millionaire father shows up that has only a little more time to live. Helena has demonstrated that she doesn't need his money. She's never asked for one peso. How is it that he treats her as if she doesn't exist and he's dying to find a daughter that really didn't exist for him until a little while ago? Enrique reminds him that he's dying. He should meet with Helena again. Guillermo says he has nothing to say to her but Enrique reponds that she might have a lot to say to him. Don't deny her that opportunity.

Valentina and Helena are dressed and ready for the show. Val assures her that everything is going to go well and don't worry because she and Majo will be backstage. She asks where she should seat her father if he comes. Helena says he wasn't invited and she doesn't think he'll come but she hopes that she's wrong. She reminds Val that Guillermo is not a good man and can be very cruel. Patricia hears this as she approaches. She tells Helena it must really give her pleasure talking about her father like that when obviously all the resentment she has is her fault. Helena asks her who she thinks she is, coming here and talking to her that way? Someone who has been with her father many years as she could have been. Helena tells Patricia that she's not a person, she's a snake. Pat says she should be grateful that she takes care of her aunt also, not just her father. That should be her obligation. Don't ever use blackmail Patricia, they're not at an age where they need protectors. I don't ask anything of you. But your brother, yes, Pat responds, so you should show a little respect. Don't mess with my brother's memory, Helena says, and slaps Patricia hard. You've never stopped being a savage, Pat tells her, that's why your father is ashamed of you. I'm sure it's the same with Hector, that's why he chose me. Keep him then, Helena tells her, I won't give you the satisfaction of fighting over a man. You'll pay for this Helena, you'll pay for this, Pat says and goes.

Majo welcomes Yolanda and Beba to the show. Yolanda intoduces Beba as her artistic director. She was a great success. Yes, says Majo, success doing someone else's show. Unlike you, Majo, in your bosses shadow, says Beba. Well, Helena's apprentice will tell you where you're sitting. Beba recognizes Valentina right away but Yolanda is looking at her phone. She says she's in a hurry so tell her where she's sitting. Beba tries to tell Yolanda something but is told to shut up or get out of here. Val sits Yolanda in the second chair and Beba one row behind. Yolanda tells Val that she should be her apprentice. She has no future with Helena. Val says yes she has a future with Helena because here they don't steal people's designs. Enjoy the show. How rude says Yolanda. You didn't see who that was?, Beba asks, that was Valentina, the girl you fired. Now she's the apprentice of Helena Vargas.
 

TU AMOR ep 41 part 5

The show begins and all the dresses are black and white but there's no classic music as had been discussed. It's more modern with a lot of percussion. For some reason Claudio isn't there. Val is worried and, from backstage, leaves him a message to call her. Leonardo preps Nora by telling her not to model like the others. He says she should be herself. This is her chance to shine. He tells her to walk and move as she wants. She has to stand out from the rest. Helena comes by and tells her to just go to the end, wait a moment, and return. Only that. Nora looks nervous as she gets to the catwalk but lights up when the music starts. She smiles and waves to the crowd. She almost falls. She spins and twirls her hair. She blows a kiss and makes a heart with her hands. Helena misses all this because she's backstage. She tells Val to get Nora into the principal dress.

Patricia waits outside the show for Hector to come. She turns on the tears and he asks her what happened. Pat says that Helena slapped her and said horrible things to her. She said she could stay with him. She doesn't know what happened, she ran. She only came to congratulate her and to wish her the best. She bends over in pain and asks him to take her to the hospital. Leonardo sees Hector take her away. In the waiting room Pat tells Hector that the slap didn't hurt her. It was everything that Helena shouted. Her hate and unfounded rancor. Well, I know you're not very sweet to her, says Hector. Pat says Helena has bullied her since they were little. Her mother died when Richard was born and Helena took advantage. She would hit Pat and call her an orphan with her friends. But you married her brother right? Yes, but only because my father forced me to. But I never, never loved Alfonso. The nurse comes in and tells Hector that he can come with his wife. Pat asks him not to leave her alone.
 

TU AMOR. Another superb recap, JoelD. I just skipped over the repeat of Part 2. All of us have had electronic glitches. Leo is so blatant that it's surprising he doesn't get caught. He seems to be dosing nearly all the snacks but only the principal gets sick. Will some of the others get more mildly ill later? And is all this so that Nora can participate in Fashion Week? Would that be because he really cares about her career or is he hoping she'll mess up? Val is so right that there should be a second opinion on Ricardo's health. I wonder what kind of crooked doctor he's planning to consult. Camila is way too gullible. She should listen to her mother and Claudio and realize that the only person who can decide Val's future is Val. I wonder if Patricia is faking being sick or if she snatched one of Leo's snacks. And at last someone mentions DNA!
 

Embajador S2 #17 part 1

Kman is out on the marina terrace, looking at photos his spies took of Gediz at his special place. He complains that the pics aren’t clear. I can’t understand how angry he is, Kman says. He gives an order to change the men who are following Gediz. Kman doesn’t notice that Gediz has snuck up on him and is looking at the pics, too. I agree, Gediz tells him, you could have made me look a little more attractive. Did you put men to follow me, he asks? Kman tells him not to take it personally, he follows everyone.

Gediz takes a seat and says, we have pending business. Kman responds, that past matter is resolved. Gediz explains there are other matters. But stay calm, he tells Kman, I am not going to hurt you. I came to ask you a little favor. And what is it? Gediz replies, Sancar. The other day he beat Yahya in front of this building. Kman asks how he knew. Gediz says he also has men that follows him. Gediz asks Kman for the recordings.

What will you do with them, Kman asks? Gediz answers, I'm going to help Nare get custody. A violent man shouldn't have custody of a little girl. A man who beats his brother [they mistranslated this as wife], at some point will hit his daughter, right? Kman nods in agreement.

The family of three arrive at Cennet Koy. Sancar picks up Melek and notes that she feels heavier. Melek tells him, children grow up fast, genius [a little snark from Melek!] Sancar tells her to grow more slowly.

Nare asks Melek where to set up. Melek points to a spot and it’s the spot where Sancar and Nare stood all those years ago when they made their commitment to each other. Sancar and Nare look at each other and there’s a quick flashback: Nare says, “won't we kiss, Sancar? I mean, it's a natural thing.” Sancar’s clearly thinking about kissing her now and Nare is feeling a bit uneasy.

Nare tells Melek to go ahead with her dad and she will follow soon. Father and daughter go off holding hands. Nare tries to calm herself and gives herself a pep talk, you are not the only single woman in this world that struggles to get ahead. Your dear daughter asked you for this. The only thing that matters is her. Do it, do it, do it, she resolves.

Nare and her boots head out on the beach to where Sancar and Melek have set up. She’s looking at the spot by the little boat. Sancar turns to look at it, too.

Kman brings Gediz the recording, there it is, look. Kman thinks Nare will get her daughter after the judge sees this. Kman is impressed and tells Gediz, you know how to negotiate. You give your building in exchange for Sancar’s daughter. Very good. Gediz says, now let's take care of our business. Kman asks if he intends to hurt someone. Calm down, Gediz tells him, you'll be fine. So, who will it be, Kman asks? [does he really have to ask?] Gediz replies, the farmer's son. Sancar?

Gediz pronounces, Sancar will be destroyed as soon as I'm done with him. I’m going to revive his past. Call him " the farmer's son," to get him used to it. Kman agrees. Gediz says in Turkish, former friends have become enemies, shouldn’t former enemies become friends? Will you support me, Gediz asks? Kman holds his hand out to shake and Gediz takes it. They don’t notice that Muge has come out on the terrace and sees them.

Sancar is teaching Melek how to play volley ball. Place your hands like this. This way, asks Melek? Nare gets impatient, can we start playing now? Sancar tells her he’s teaching Melek. Can you stop pressuring us? Nare says enough excuses, are you ready? Nare volleys and Sancar returns it way over her head and down the beach. He laughs and asks Melek to give him five and to go get the ball.

Nare objects, that's not fair, you shouldn't even celebrate, it’s two against me one. Also, my wound is just healing. She sits on the sand. Sancar laughs and stands before her, let's not complain, Nare. Nare responds, do you think will you make me cry? Sancar tells her, I'm going to show you what I know how to do. She makes the first move and pulls his legs out from under him. He falls to the sand. They laugh. Nare says, do you see who is crying now? They laugh and smile at each other. But Nare’s smile quickly fades. Sancar asks her to smile again. No more smile.

Melek returns with the ball. She asks her parents, did you play on this beach when you were kids? Sure, all the time, Nare replies, we used to run around, and we loved swimming. Sancar smiles at Nare. Did you ever imagine that you would play ball here with your daughter, Melek asks? Tell me.

Nare and Sancar look at each other. Sancar answers yes. It was here your mother thought of your name. He takes the shells out of his pocket and holds them up. Tell her how you named her, he says to Nare, she wants to know. Nare tries to hide her uneasiness. Melek begs, mom, tell me. I want to know. Nare relents. She takes the shells from Sancar and stands in front of them. [I think Sancar is more excited than Melek]

Nare starts the story, with these we committed ourselves to each other, my love. Your father made fun of me, with this pair of shells that he picked up right here. Do you know what I told him? That they looked like an angel—Melek. Look. Sancar gets up to join in the storytelling.

Melek, he asks? Yes. That's right, San—[oops, she catches herself] that's right. Can't you see the wings? Sancar takes the shells and mocks, let me see them. Hmmm…. Melek, yes. I can see it, Melek. They laugh. Nare grabs the shells back, give them to me, don't be funny. Sancar laughs and says he’s just acting. It does look like an angel. Melek says they are very funny. Sancar shushes her so they can continue the story.

Nare picks up from here, dear angel Melek, this disbelieving man still can't see you. But don’t worry. because when we have a daughter and call her Melek, I'm sure he'll see you. Sancar asks, whose daughter? Nare replies, we are going to have a daughter when we get married, Sancar.

Sancar turns to Melek and tells her, I hugged your mother right here. And then I told her, love me Nare. Hug me please. Do it. They pause the story and there’s that “look” between them. Melek gets up and tells them to continue with the story. She puts her arms out to both, she wants them to follow through with the hug. Nare says, I'm going to go for a walk. Sancar and Melek watch her and hold the shells.

Meanie shows up at Kman’s house. I came as soon as I saw your message, she says to Akin, what happened? It's Ceylan, she's crying. Meanie asks, did her baby die? Akin assures Meanie, no, the baby is healthy and strong, but Kahraman told Ceylan that if she got pregnant, he would immediately send her and the child back to the club.

Meanie panics, is she thinking about aborting the baby? Akin doesn’t think she is capable of it. But Kahraman can’t know about this. Akin says in Turkish, Ceylan is in such state that she will not refuse a reasonable offer. They go into the house to see Ceylan.

Ceylan is on her bed, crying her eyes out. She talks to her baby, I would not be able to leave you. What kind of mother would I be? Forgive me, my love, I will have to take your life. I am very sorry. But if I give birth to you, we would both be killed by that man. And I can't take you to the club with me, she sobs.

Meanie enters the room and startles Ceylan. You will both be saved, she tells Ceylan, I will keep him. What? Meanie explains it to her, that way you won't go back to the club if you decide to have the baby. Didn’t Kahraman threaten you with that? This way he wouldn't kick you out of his house, and you won't ruin your baby's life. Have the baby, Ceylan, and give it to me. You won’t have to worry about anything.

Ceylan replies, am I going to separate from my little one? Akin tells her it would be the same if she aborted it. Meanie adds, at least you will know that your child will be happy. You can see it whenever you want. Ceylan asks, I can visit you? Akin lies, sure, whenever you want.

Ceylan realizes that Meanie must have lost her baby. She asks, are you going to give my baby to that guy and then pretend it’s your own son? [what Ceylan said in the original is, are you going to give my baby to the Bird’s Efe of the legend? Meanie said don’t call my husband the Bird’s Efe (alacanin efesi). Ceylan says that’s what I always call him.]

Ceylan continues, you and Sancar both have a curse [because of the legend]. But you still act bad, Menekse. You assured this man (Akin) that you would give him Sancar’s daughter, right? And what happened? You lost your child. And you still want to give the girl to this jerk and give my little baby to Sancar? Ceylan tells Meanie, I cursed myself a long time ago and you will also be cursed.

Meanie replies, worry about yourself and forget about any superstition. Can you give up your baby just to keep him alive? Or because of your selfishness, you would rather abort it? Ceylan responds, no. I want to save it. It doesn't matter if I die. Then what are we going to do, Ceylan asks?

Nare is still keeping her distance from Sancar. Melek has fallen asleep on her dad. He gently places her on the blanket, gets up and walks towards Nare. He stops and looks at her. Why are you looking at me like this, she asks him? He approaches her, takes a folded paper out of his pocket and hands it to her. She reads it: Family night court. Filing for divorce due to severe conflict. Cara de impactada de Nare. Sancar tells her, I asked for a divorce, Nare. I did it this morning. I'm serious. What?

Nare’s face shows a conflict of emotions. She hands the paper back to Sancar and turns away from him to compose herself. When she turns back, he’s got the “angel wings” out.
Sancar begins, dear Melek, this man committed the biggest mistake. He looks at Nare and says, I betrayed your mother. I hurt you. I promise you I’ll never hurt you again. Melek, I will work hard to make it up to you and I will make you forgive me, daughter. He looks at Nare again and says, if your mother allows me.

Nare shakes her head no, I can't, she says and turns away from Sancar again. Sancar keeps trying, dear Melek, I know I don't deserve it. I accept that, but—Nare turns back to Sancar and he looks at her and says, you deserve to have a family. Nare cries, enough, please.

Sancar puts the shells away and makes a direct plea to Nare, [going to use the Turkish for rest of this scene] you are my wife before Allah. If you give me this chance, as soon as I get divorced, will buy a ring and come before you on one knee. [remember he told her years ago he doesn’t kneel before anyone and only when he does the zeybek] She looks anguished.

Sancar tells her, you cannot leave. He carries out his promise to shut her up with a kiss. Lots of kisses.

Brief flashback to little Sancar giving little Nare the shell and then the teenage couple.

Ok, now back to the grown ups making out on the beach. There’s joy on Sancar’s face and Nare has tears. She looks happy but, again, her happiness fades quickly. She backs away from him. No, he begs, don't regret it, please. What have we done, a horrified Nare says, and she runs those boots down the beach. A teary Sancar says softly, you are allowed to me [that was the title of the Turkish episode] And besides, I’m getting divorced.

Kavruk is at the stable with Gece. Zehra shows up and asks him, are you really going to get married? Yes. i'm getting married. What's wrong, Kavruk asks? Right on cue, Halise shows up in the distance. Kavruk sees her, Zehra does not. Won't you face my mother, she asks Kavruk, you’ll do what the lady of the house says, right? Kavruk does not answer, his eyes are on Halise.

My mother says that henna night is tomorrow, Zehra tells him, will you agree to marry without saying anything? Kavruk shows Zehra his ring and says, we are engaged, and it surprises you? Why couldn't I get married? Halise is pleased with Kavruk answer and she leaves.

Zehra stutters…huh…well…things are upside down now, there is too much to do. Elvan shows up and Zehra enlists her aid, right SIL? It’s silly to do a wedding right now. Elvan asks why with a sly smile. Is there a problem?

A ticked Zehra says yes, you know, Sancar has ended the partnership. He left work and went on a picnic. I will run the companies and I will be very busy. I have a lot to do, Elvan. Elvan responds, what's up with that, people would believe that you are the bride. Calm down, she tells Zehra, you're not going to marry him. Elvan looks at Kavruk. Don’t worry, we will take care of the wedding, right, Kavruk? Kavruk agrees with Elvan. We'll take care of it.

Ha, ha, Zehra and Kavruk have a (non) lover’s spat. He firmly tells Zehra, do your job and I'll take care of mine. Do you want me to work, Zehra asks him? Yes, of course. You are getting married and I do my job, Zehra affirms. Kavruk replies, you said what you wanted to be the boss, so go ahead. Yes, says Zehra. Excellent, says Kavruk. I'm going to work, she says. Go, yes, nos veremos, he says. She slowly limps away.

Elvan laughs. Kavruk tells Elvan, go help her instead of making fun of me. Elvan says, yes, you're right, I’ll go. She adds, the girl is confused, I'll go to her, but if you go to her, I'll stay. Kavruk tells Elvan, I said to go. I need you to get out of here. Elvan laughs and takes off after Zehra. Poor Kavruk is in distress.

Kman and Gediz see Muge. Gediz jumps up and goes to her. Muge accuses him, so my enemy is your ally in your fight with Sancar? What are you doing here, he tells her, leave. Muge says, I‘ll stay here with you and he (Kman) will go away. I want to talk to you.

Gediz asks Kman to leave the terrace. He objects, this is his place. Gediz talks him into leaving because Muge is so upset. Kman gives Muge a menacing look on his way out. Muge shakes her head at her brother. Kman retreats to his office where he shouts, sweeps everything off his desk and breaks his prayer beads. [we expect nothing less from you, Kman]

Gediz calm his sister down. Muge says, I can't believe you shook hands with the man who hates me. Gediz assures her this is a temporary alliance. What happened to me is not temporary, she says, my fear will not disappear. You held out your hand and befriended the man who locked me up for five days, just because Sancar bought the place! This is not going to go away, she shouts. You caused it!

Gediz tries to placate her. I have made life impossible for him (Kman). I even bought the marina and now—Muge interrupts, I know what you did to him, but I don't know what you will do to Sancar by teaming with Kahraman.

Gediz asks, is your problem with Sancar or with me? It's with you, Gediz, she replies, this enmity will destroy you even more than you think. You've even teamed up with the man you hate the most. What are you going to do to Sancar? Gediz answers, you'll see. Good, she tells him, you will see what I’m going to do.

Muge storms off and runs into Kman on her way out. More menacing looks from Kman, who says, you killed my wife. I wanted you to feel death. I took my revenge. Don't get underfoot. Muge summons up her courage to answer, it is you who should not be under my brother's feet. You can keep hating me on your own. Kman moves closer to her, and she gasps and steps back. Yes, I hate you, Kman says, and I know how much you fear me. Don't come near me or I am going to scare you to death.

Nare’s still off on her own at the beach. Muge calls her. Muge says she knows Nare hasn’t recovered yet, but she needs her help. Could you come to the marina, she asks? Nare tells her the wound has already healed and she was thinking of returning to work next week. She will come if needed. Did you see Mr. Kahraman? Muge says she will explain when she comes, but hurry up, please. Nare says she'll leave right away.

Melek wakes up and asks, dad, where is my mom? He points, here she comes. Melek asks him, is my mom angry? Did you make her mad? He thinks about those kisses and replies, I think I made her a little angry, my love. She'll get over it. Melek is disappointed with her dad, you do it all the time, she says. No, he says, I haven’t done this for years.

Nare comes back to the blanket and tells Melek they have to go. She has to go to the marina. They start to pack up. Sancar asks what she’s going to do there. Nare ignores him and Melek asks her why she won’t answer her father. Nare avoids answering that question and asks Melek about finishing her cake.

Melek tells her parents that leaving them alone is not a good idea. Why do you say that, Nare asks? Because while I was sleeping, you fought again. Nare says, it's true. we argued. Sancar adds, it was a kind of a fight. Like a discussion. Melek tells them, if you keep fighting, do you think the judge will let either of you take care of me? You will be left alone!

Melek puts her hands out to her parents. They each take a hand and walk off the beach.

And we are out.

TU AMOR. I was wondering why I ended up with five parts to the recap SpanProf. I think it's because my wife called me while I was posting. Oh well. I didn't consider that Patricia might actually be sick. I hope she is. I was surprised to see that Enrique didn't fall for her tricks. I think Leonardo wants Nora to mess up. She looked ridiculous on the catwalk although her dress was pretty nice. I thought Camila would come through and wear the principal dress in the show but she's not acting very stable right now. What's Nora going to do?

We are all struggling with Guillermo’s incomprehensible treatment of Helena. We need to hear the list of atrocities she is charged with committing. I find nothing nice about Guillermo.

I thought Val and Helena looked beautiful last night. I really liked the gowns, particularly the beading on a few of the tops.

I was hoping Majo (who I read in real life was a model) would step into the vacancy Leo so unkindly created but alas we were treated to Nora and her childish waving and winking. SpanProf, no one would ever (or should ever) encourage Nora to be herself 😊 I agree in that Leo wanted her to fail.

Val and Claudio continue to be undermined. I was wondering if Rosie were going to stoop to something untoward to try and lure Claudio away. She might not have to as they seem to be on the road to self implode all by themselves.

Patricia is a clever little vixen. Fueled by jealousy and hate she has become a formidable enemy. Hector’s spiriting her away from the show (likely Leo’s version when he no doubt will spill this tea) will likely be the last straw for Helena.

El Culebra had a shirt with a snake on it. No literal depiction of an enigma could ever be available, could it? LOL. I wasn't happy that he didn't discover that Enigma was a girl.

Yuri needs to break it off with Moisés. She is playing him and he doesn't deserve that.

Alicia is taking over Lucas’s kingdom. That won’t work out well unless he can pressure Sergio for more money to keep his mouth shut.

Then there is the problem with Miranda who seemed to be suffering from a concussion if not something worse.

Martín continues to be the target. I didn't like Diablo making him choose between pursuing Alicia and his job.

Sergio used the worst justification ever explaining how his relationship with Julieta came to be: it just happened. Then to try to blame Alicia? He deserved a pie in his face or a slap with a dead fish. LOL

Best scene: any scene with Martín and Nelson.

Dondi, thank you for another recap of this study in tragic , relentless longing. So many people are longing for someone or something it seems impossible for them to have. . San and Gediz both long for Nare. Nare longs for a peaceful life with Me!ek. Melek !ongs for a happy family. Zehra longs for Kavruk and vice versa.

The divorce surprised me. Is it a done deal ? Are San and Meanie now divorced? If so, Meanie is going to go ballistic and try ber hardest to help Akin kidnap Melek...no just no no no.

Wow, those kisses. I think these were the first kisses we have seen in this show. That in itself is tragic.

At this point, i dont think that Nare will ever allow herself to be with San again. I think that she has been so damaged by past events that she will not let herself forgive San and be happy even though she knows that is Melek's one and only wish. That is truly tragic .

Also....why isnt Kman in jail for kidnapping Muge, and are San and Gediz enemies for life now?

Now that I’ve recovered from last night’s episode...

Note on the kiss: The Turkish censors are getting very strict, and it was edited in the Turkish version. The way it was edited, you didn’t see much of the actual kisses. This is the one way the Uni version was better and why I watched a replay.

Nina: “Sancar told melek they fought ,yeah they did they had a tongue fight. And it was fun.” LOL Kman’s wife was pregnant. Why do they let Halise dominate them? It’s a Turkish thing.

Susanlynn, the divorce isn’t final yet. He just filed. He said he was going to ask Nare to marry once it was final. “relentless longing” is a good descriptor. Maybe that should have been the title of the show.

This has to be one of my favorite telenovelas of all time but Ohhhhh……the frustration of (as susanlynn says) everyone desperately LONGING and YEARNING for someone or something else!
And of course, the worst never-ending frustration is that of Nare who claims that all she wants is the well being (the happiness?) of Melek but, leaving the country with Melek will prevent Melek’s happiness.
Someone on this site once said that we have to prepare ourselves for a possible tragic ending with a Turkish telenovela. YIKES- i hope not after all they are putting us through!!
Our one hope at the moment is Ceylan becoming an informant of sorts.
And….let’s pray we do not have to witness Kavruk’s wedding to his fiancé. Amazing how much power that Halise has.

Nare hasn’t taken a moment to think WHAT MORE can Sancar do to show his regret? He risked and almost gave his life to save her on the boat, then rescued her by getting her to another boat where he kept her alive until they reached shore (all the while with his own gunshot wound) —-and had her taken to his home to recover where they do medical miracles without all that pesky hospital stuff around! ….Then that sweet beach scene…whoa that could melt your heart. He’s trying and she’s pouting.

Not sure what Nare is thinking right now. Sancar has laid it all out...he was wrong...he regretted...he tried to amend and he's doing everything to keep her safe. She needs to make a decision one way or the other. She wants to give in but she's still holding on to the past. But also...she has a conscious and she's not wanting to be the reason that Meneske's kid does not grow up with his father...so I see her dilemma. Unfortunately...in these triangles...there is always a looser.

I knew somehow Kman would find out Sancar is on to him...rats. Let's see how this plays out. Meneske still doesn't see that her losing the baby is bad karma that she brought on herself. Too bay Ceylan doesnt' see any other options but to give her baby to that witch.

Looks like the Me2 movement has made it to turkey. The ladies are united against the men regarding the business.

Embajador S2 #18 part 1

Meanie returns from a shopping trip and is stopped by Halise. Where have you been? Meanie answers with attitude, I will knit socks for my baby. I went to buy yarn. Why do you ask? Halise says, do you think I should give you an explanation? We just found out you cut your wedding dress and you blamed Melek. You leave to buy yarn and then you answer your MIL like this? Meanie starts to speak but Halise tells her to shut up.

Halise reminds Meanie that if it weren't for the baby, Sancar would have kicked her out from the mansion a long time ago. So, thank your baby. Meanie walks away and Halise calls after her. She warns Meanie, we are organizing Kavruk’s wedding. Tomorrow will be henna night. Don't embarrass us like you did on the night of his engagement. Understand? Meanie walks off with an evil smile.

Atike comes out on the balcony and kicks her lazy son. What are you doing there? He’s lying there eating and peering at his “cookie”, Gulsiye, working down below with Ayse. [Necdet refers to Gulsiye as “my cookie” in the Turkish] Atike scolds, don't you have something to do? Get to work! Necdet answers, why? If you want, let me introduce my girlfriend. Atike looks over the railing at Gulsiye. Gulsiye looks up and tells Ayse, I'll give him a good beating. Ayse advises, don't even look at him.

Atike says she could not accept Gulsiye as his wife. That woman talks too much. Necdet replies, yes, but she cooks very well, and we will be happy with my brother-in-law's money. Atike wishes some of Necdet’s extra weight could have been used in his brain.

Necdet doesn’t understand his mother’s thinking. If he married Gulsiye, he would live in the mansion. And if they kick you out because of Menekse, he tells her, you could come back thanks to me.

Meanie appears and says, I have not been kicked out yet. What do you mean, Necdet asks? For this baby I'm expecting. Congratulate me. We get the flashback to the rest of Meanie’s visit with Ceylan.

Ceylan asks, what are we going to do when my belly grows? Akin answers, technical details, don't think about it. I'll take care of it. So, what do you say? Will you give us the baby? Ceylan sobs.

Atike asks, how are you going to handle the due date? Meanie is going to leave that to Akin, he's a very smart man and he will take care of everything.

Necdet gets up and goes over to his sister, what did you say? You’re giving the girl in exchange for this? That's right, she replies, tomorrow is Kavruk’s henna night. There will be many people in the mansion. They won’t notice if I disappear and then I’ll hand her over to Akin.

The family of 3 are driving back from the beach. Sancar wants to know why Muge asked her to go to the marina. Nare has no idea.

She gets a text from Elvan: “Nare, have you finished your picnic yet? Tomorrow we have henna night. buy something to wear.” Nare texts back: “what night henna night?” Elvan: “my mother-in-law ordered it. Kavruk will be married in two days. Tomorrow we have henna night for his future wife.”

Nare blurts out, Kavruk will marry Ayse in two days. can you believe it? What? [don’t drive off the road, Sancar]

Nare texts: “and Zehra?” Elvan: “is here with me. She's scared to death, she doesn't know what to do. She would like to be the bride. Send a message to the group.” Sancar is trying to read the texts. [keep your eyes on the road, Melek is in the car!]

Nare texts to the group: “ Congrats, where will henna night be? In the mansion?” Elvan is at the grove office, sitting on the couch, while Zehra is working at the desk. They both look at Nare’s text and have different reactions to it. Guess who’s unhappy.

Zehra makes a quick business call about bottling the olive oil. Elvan texts the group: "I'm thinking of doing henna night in the upper garden. What do you guys like?”

The texting goes back and forth with Zehra’s annoyance increasing with every message.
Elvan says to Zehra, the upper garden above is small, but the men could dance in the garden below. The zeybek requires space. What do you think? Zehra tries to laugh it off. It's okay, sister-in-law, it's okay.

Elvan continues to badger Zehra with party details, what does it matter if the place is small? The women will have fun dancing. Right, Zehra?

Sancar is still trying to look at Nare’s texts. He enlists Melek’s help. Your mother has been texting someone and smiling. Who could it be? Melek looks, mmm ... she's texting a threesome. The parents laugh. Sancar asks, a threesome? Who could they be? Sancar and Nare laugh and look at each other. He thinks back to kissing her. [I wish he would keep his eyes on the road]

The ladies start texting about what to wear for the henna night. Zehra ignores it and gets up from her desk to get papers. Elvan tells her if you're so busy and won't have time to go out, would you like me to go buy something for you? Zehra tries to get away and Elvan blocks her way.

What would you like to wear, Elvan asks? Something fancy for a friend because it's her henna night? Elvan goes in for the kill— white would also be very good, only you will not marry. I’m not the girlfriend and I'm not the sister either, Zehra answers with extreme irritation. Elvan says, you look more like an employee who has lost her job. You’re sad, she asks Zehra, what's wrong? I hope it's not because Kavruk is getting married. Elvan sips at her coffee, devilishly waiting for the response.

Zehra plays it off about her preparations for the shareholders’ meeting. On Monday they will elect the new president. That’s why she’s distracted. Elvan says I’m also thinking about who the next president of the United States will be. That has me worried and I’m distracted by it. [She really said this in Turkish. Interesting that they slipped a little politics in here.]

Finally back to business, Zehra says she’s calling the shareholders. I'll see if Muge is available for that day. Zehra asks Elvan to call Yahya.

Yahya is in bed when Elvan calls. He doesn’t take it. He looks worried and stays in bed until he hears the door outside. He jumps up and we see the outside door closing. Assuming that’s Dudu leaving because we don’t see her. Yahya says, finally. It’s getting late. He puts on his pants, heads to the kitchen and pours a glass of water. He steps outside, where Dudu promptly sprays him with the water hose. He drops the glass.

He shouts, what are you doing? Dudu tells him, I'm washing your conscience. I think it's very dirty, too! Yahya yells, are you crazy? She continues to spray him as he tries to get away. She rants, did you think that you could get rid of me if you waited long enough in your room? Don't you even dare to say that you are sorry? Yahya claims he didn't want to break her heart.

Dudu is really angry, I didn't spend the night alone! You were the one who convinced me to come back, did you forget? Stop pretending that it was me who seduced you! She sprays him again. Yahya tries to reason with her, what we did was very wrong. Do you think so, she asks? You were dying last night. Yahya tells her, yes, but I recovered my common sense in the morning. He steps on a piece of broken glass. He’s bleeding. She finally shuts off the hose. She scolds him for coming out barefoot.

You really make me lose my mind, Yahya tells her, but you are a smart girl. So what are you doing here with me, he asks? I don’t understand why you keep coming around. We know why, and of course, Dudu can’t tell him the truth—I'm with you because ... because I'm an idiot! She goes in the house to find a bandage.

Zehra and Elvan leave the grove office. Elvan says Yahya doesn't answer. Zehra remembers he’s at Nare's house and says we can go pick him up. Uh oh. She tells Elvan to call him again.

Dudu is in the bathroom getting a band aid and hears the phone. It’s Elvan. She brings the phone out to Yahya and opens the call and puts it on speaker. He’s stuck, he has to speak.

Elvan says, I called you. Why didn’t you answer me? Lame vague excuse, I was busy. Elvan says she’s on her way to Nare's house. He says he’s about to leave. Why are you calling, he asks? Elvan tells him about the shareholders’ meeting at the olive grove office. She also tells him, I know that you are innocent and no, I'm not apologizing, but ... do you need anything? Yahya replies, for now, nothing. Dudu quickly hangs up. Elvan is puzzled.

Dudu demands and explanation. Elvan says you're innocent, but she's not going to apologize. I'm very curious to know what you're innocent of. Why do you want to know, he asks? I thought you kidnapped Nare for Akin, she replies. Have you been exonerated? Is someone else suspected?

Yahya deflects, listen, you just hung up on Elvan. Now she’ll want to question me. I think you should leave immediately, don't you? Dudu leaves and steps on Yahya’s foot on the way out!

Dudu calls Kman. He steps away from Gediz to take the call. Did you finally decide to leave Yahya? What did you find out? Elvan called him, she relates, and said something. She said that he was innocent. Innocent of what? Kidnapping Ms. Nare, he asks? Dudu doesn’t know, but it’s possible. Sancar could have deceived you. Kman appreciates it and tells her she deserves the money she receives.

Nare's lawyer shows up. They show her the video of Sancar beating Yahya. She thinks they will be very useful. It’s a display of pure anger. It’s obvious he’s very violent and that’s in our favor.

Kman doesn’t want to discourage them, but he brings up a good point. [and it is based on what Dudu just told him] Do you think this is fake? I don't know ... Sancar hitting his brother in front of a camera? Gediz asks him you think it’s strange? Let's see it again.
Gediz tells Kman, you know I hate you, but I wouldn't dare hit you like that. Kman returns the same thought. The lawyer seems to think it’s good enough to win the case. Gediz hands her the flash drive. She leaves.

Kman asks Gediz, tell me, what are you going to do? Are you going to chase Ms. Nare? Gediz snarks, I'll tell you and then we could braid each other’s hair. Kman says, have no hair, and I will not braid yours. Is that what you and your friend did? Gediz reminds Kman he is not his friend, he is his accomplice. If I manage to push Sancar out of my way, he warns, I could also take you away. Tell me, Kman asks, how are you going to destroy him? Gediz laughs.

Nare meets the girls outside the marina. What's up? Muge says she needs their help, let’s talk inside. Sancar gets out of the truck and stops them. Are you going so I don’t hear? Muge tells him, I know you are blinded by anger, but you should at least keep check on your fists and your ears. He doesn’t understand. Muge says, Gediz's shelter, didn't you buy it? Don't get me involved in your fights.

Sancar calls Nare over. About your kidnapping, Yahya is innocent, and I believe him. We set up a trap. She knows. He asks her not to let anyone else find out--neither Gediz nor Kahraman. And not Elvan [oops, too late]. Nare asks why tell her now? Do you suspect Kahraman again? All Sancar says is, do not tell anyone, please. I need time, trust me.

He whispers in Nare's ear. Today you ran away from me, but this is not over yet. We'll talk, okay? Looks like there’s some of that feeling left over from that kiss. She walks back to the group. Elvan notices and stops her, what was that? Que descarado. Sancar looks hopeful.

Muge shares that Gediz and Kman have allied with the intention of harming Sancar. What? Elvan gasps, the sky will fall on them. Muge thinks if they unite, that disaster can be avoided. How, Zehra asks? Muge isn’t sure and that's why I invited you. She says she can’t face Kahraman, she gets so scared. Muge thinks that Nare should speak with Gediz because he listens to her. Nare says this won’t be solved by talking, but she does have an idea. We will need a bit of courage.

The ladies head out onto the terrace to confront. Gediz is condescending, you always fight, but I think you're not strong enough to face us. Elvan pipes up, the queen will talk to you. Nare begins, this Monday I will start work here with you. Muge will also work here as my assistant. Kman takes notice.

What, asks Gediz? Am I not going to be the general manager, Nare asks? I can hire whomever I please, right? Kman strongly objects, I am the general manager. The woman who murdered my wife will not work here. Nare counters, what will you do, Mr. Kahraman? Leave her in a grave for five days? Nare picks up, your old friend hired me to be the general manager. I guess you won't object. You know that I have a custody lawsuit pending. Are you going to put me out of work? Would you dare?

Gediz suggests Nare work at his marina and Muge can too if she wants. No, I will work in this place. And Muge will work here as my assistant, she tells them. But if you have any objection—Zehra chimes in, if you have any objection, we can vote at the shareholders’ meeting next Monday. Shareholders, Gediz asks? Elvan says there will be a meeting to elect the president of the company. He tells Elvan to be quiet and asks Zehra.

Zehra explains that Sancar decided to step away from his post as president of the Sadiclar group and I am a candidate. Gediz answers, there will only be one president, and I will manage the company. Zehra clarifies, I want to fill your position, too. I intend to be the only president of the company. Elvan adds, that means if you can't solve your problems, she will do it.

Gediz asks Muge if she will vote for Zehra. Yes. Gediz says, she’s Sancar's sister. He is my enemy, remember? Muge replies, you ally yourself with my enemy. What surprises you?

Kman can't believe this. Gediz is so quiet. Will you let these women decide? You have to stop it! Elvan jokes about turning Kman’s office into hers. Kman asks Gediz once again to do something.

Nare tells Gediz not to be mad at Muge. He asked for this. Either you put this enmity aside and reconcile, or else ... the era of men ends and that of women begins. They leave. The ladies are excited but Nare calms them. Kman is insistent with Gediz, your sister won't come here.

Sancar and Melek are sitting on the hood of the truck. Melek says she’s bored. Sancar says the same but we know he’s upset. Melek warns him not to fight with her mother, like he did at the picnic. How I did it on the beach, he asks? Yes. Sancar says with a smile, he can’t promise.

The ladies come out of the building and Melek runs to her mother. She tells her to go with her father because she’s busy, she'll be home later. Sancar asks, where will you go? Gediz exits the building, too. Nare answers, it just seems like the era of men is ending and the era of women begins. But if you want to know more details, your old friend will tell you. The ladies leave.

Embajador S2 #18 part 5

Gediz gives Melek a big greeting. Melek tells him they had a great family picnic. Gediz says he has to leave. Not a word is spoken between the two men. Of course, Melek notices and asks her dad if he also fought with Gediz. I broke his nose, Sancar replies. Dad! Sancar quickly says it’s not true. why would I break his nose? Do you think I look for lawsuits? Then why don’t you talk to each other? Sancar evades the answer and hurries his daughter into the truck.

Meanie calls Akin and tells him about henna night. Why should I care, should I buy a gift, he snarks. No, she shoots back, come dance with me at the party. I’m talking about Melek. There will be many people in the mansion. Akin gets it now, tomorrow you are going to hand her over to me. Meanie needs to strategize. Akin tells her to listen carefully.

Preparations are underway for the henna night. Kavruk has bought the henna. Ayse comes and sits on the arm of his chair. She gets flirty, do you like henna in the whole hand? Or only in the middle of the palm? Or just on the little finger? Why are you asking me that, he tells her. Do what you want. Ayse is miffed and Halise shoots Kavruk a look. He tries to recover and tells Ayse, everything looks good on you, that's why I said it. She looks please with that answer.

Meanie comes out and asks her brother to come with her. He’s been sitting with the henna group, snacking on the nuts. Halise says, instead of taking your brother away, why don't you sit and help us? Meanie tells her, I am working. I grow your grandson. Necdet leaves with her.

Meanie and Necdet talk on the porch. Brother, you have to help me tomorrow night, please. I spoke with Akin. You must get the guards drunk at a certain time. Necdet worries about what Sancar would do. He tries to talk his sister out of handing over Melek. He’s worried about losing Sancar’s money and he doesn’t want to help her if it will harm him.
He tells Meanie, you know this isn’t right, sister. His greedy mind has a thought, if I tell my BIL what you're planning, I will be able to win Gulsiye and Sancar will also give me a raise. Meanie snaps, I'm seriously going to kill you.

Sancar and Melek return to the mansion and see the henna prep. Sancar gives his congratulations. I see that there will be a wedding. Ayse thanks him. Sancar asks his mom, why the urgency? Halise answers, why postpone it. Better to do it asap. Sancar sends Melek to help Gulsiye and he orders Kavruk to come with him. Halise and Ayse look rightfully concerned.

As Sancar and Kavruk make their way, they see and hear Meanie and Necdet arguing on the porch. Sancar clearly hears Necdet say, I’m going to tell my brother-in-law and Meanie begging, don’t do it. [If only he would have listened a little longer instead of jumping in right away.]

Sancar surprises them, what are you going to tell me? Uh… Necdet hesitates, we were arguing over a problem. I told Menekse that I had to tell you, but she refuses to do so. Meanie sweats it out. What is her bro gonna say? Sancar comes closer and gives them the death stare. He demands to know at once. Necdet finally says, if the baby turns out to be a male, can you name it after me? Meanie who pretends to be upset with her brother is secretly very relieved.

Sancar looks as if he’s going to explode but somehow, he walks away without hitting Necdet. Necdet asks his sister, were you very scared? When you kidnap the girl, you'll be like this all the time.

Sancar and Kavruk go to the stable. Sancar is pissed. He asks Kavruk are you doing this on purpose? Are you doing this to add more burden on my shoulders? Kavruk replies, I'm going to get married without saying a word.

Sancar asks, are you seriously going to marry that woman? Do you think that you will have a better life with her? You asked my permission, and I gave it to you without hesitation. But why is there such a rush? You don't know her.Kavruk says he knows her enough. Sancar tells Kavruk he’s wrong. How many times have you even talked?

Sancar calls out, I need patience! I need patience! Sancar sighs and drops the bomb on Kavruk—I’m going to get a divorce.

And we are out.

These people are frustrating me more and more . They say and do things tbat make no sense to me. I just dont understand where this story is heading.

So...weasel And Dudu finally did the deed....i guess.

If Meanie succeeds in somehow grabbing poor Melek , i will have to stop watching. It's already painful for me to watch her trying over and over to get her parents together.

And have no idea why the great and mighty Efe, whom everyone fears as he glares and yells , cant stop this wedding. Kavruk looks like such a sadsack as he slouches around like a beaten dog. It makes me wonder jf class distinctions like we are seeing still exist in Turkey . Gulysie seems to have an odd place in tbe house as a maid/ family member . She does most of tbe chores abd Ayse has been helping her. Meanie doesnt seem to be expected to do anything . If she succeeds in this sick plan to give Melek to Akin and pass Kmans baby off as Sans , i will be ticked . I wonder what she will be entitled to if San manages to divorce this barnacle . I am glad that Nec cares more about living in tbe mansion abd getting money from San than he does about sis. What a lazy moocher.

Gediz has had a major change in character as tbe tug of war over Nare continues with San, and they threaten and challenge each otber .

One thing that i have learned from teaching people from many different cultures is that Americans tend to be very direct and quick in their decisions and actions. In some cultures, people dont come out and say " no. "

Don’t take this as a spoiler, good or bad, but it’s not any easier to watch knowing what’s coming next. I wish I could get more involved in the discussion, but I don’t want anything taken as a spoiler.

SaraAnne, about Nare’s reluctance: “WHAT MORE can Sancar do to show his regret?” It’s a lot like Nett mentioned, “She [Nare] wants to give in but she's still holding on to the past.” Add Meanie’s (non) kid into the mix. There’s still more of the past to be explored.

I wonder about the wardrobe, too. In the original credits, they note what brands the lead actors, Engin, Uraz and Neslihan, are wearing. I don’t know how much of a say the actors get in choosing the clothing. The wardrobe also helps to describe the characters. Ay, those boots on the beach will always bug me!

Ceylan sure is in a tough spot. I like her a lot. But I also like Kman as the villain. You never know what he will do next.

Susanlynn, lol @“barnacle” what a great descriptor for Meanie and her whole family, “The Barnacles”. Yes, let there be no doubt, Yahya and Dudu done did the deed!

Some say Gediz did not have a major change of character. This aspect was just dormant for a while. Remember he betrayed his father (and whole family) big time because of a slap. So why wouldn’t he betray a friend over a woman?

I also serve a diversity of students and I have noticed the same, “In some cultures, people dont come out and say " no. " A little cultural competency goes a long way.

Nina, thank goodness for Necdet adding a few laughs here and there.

Susanlynn, there was a long flashback about this. I can’t remember the exact episode.

Gediz had been living in NY and he came back to Turkey because his grandfather was dying. Grandpa’s last wish was for his son, Gediz’ father, to give the Efeoglus their rightful inheritance: the mansion. There might have been some money, too.

Gediz found out, was shocked and disillusioned, and called his father out on it. They had a huge argument that ended with Cemil calling Gediz an ungrateful spoiled brat and giving him a hard slap across the face.

That’s when Gediz decided to get revenge on his father and go to Sancar. He didn't do it purely out of a sense of justice.

The Isiklis lost the mansion. (Note that Refika is still put out they lost it.) Gediz and Sancar robbed the municipality (Gediz’ father was the mayor), and the rest is history.

Pardon my "silence" patio, but I have been battling a severe case of allergies for the past week and I'm finally coming out ahead. Thank you, Diana, Jarifa, and Nina for your supportive and insightful comments.

I see were were all lifting our jaws after the Jerk tried to blame Alicia for his wanderng eye (and other parts). What a JerkA$$!! Jarifa, "a slap with a dead fish" Love it!! That's exactly what he deserves...to start with :-) Nina, "What a piece of Sh*t he is." Yup, can't we just flush him down the toilet and down the sewer where he belongs? :-D

Diana, yes, Lucas works for the foundation and makes it known the he is the "actual" director since Alicia is never around...she only has the title. And, in fact, he is correct since she hadn't stepped in there for quite a while. I think Carlota's suggestion and meeting Luna gave her tha push that she needed to get herself on the right track.

Jarifa, thanks for pointing out that Miranda might have a concussion. From the way the doctor told Culebra that they needed to talk to the parents, it did sound like there is something serious to be concerned about.

Diana, "I think Yuri is backing off from the wedding because not only is Moises a jackass, she realizes she is developing feelings for Cholo." Well, she is definitely developing feelings for Cholo, but I think she would have backed off from the wedding regardless. She really wasn't that excited when he proposed...twice!

This show is frustrating , but I can't stop watching . I was hoping that Gediz and San would form a United front to protect Nare and Melek from Akin , but they are too busy fighting to win Nare. Everyone seems to have forgotten that Akin is out there scheming about his next attempt to grab Nare...so frustrating.

Meanwhile, Yahya has finally done the deed with Dudu .
