Tonight they announced that "Embajador" is in the Ultimas Semanas of the season; so I thought there would a continuation BUT then they announced that "La Desalmada" would start in August during the same time slot as Embajador.
 

DEJAN - Ep 34, Part 1: Against All Odds…and Conniving Snakes

We start with Samuel pointing his gun at Gonzo and asking if Gonzo is in love with Fedora. Fedora tries to talk him down, but Samuel is going to make sure Gonzo doesn’t come near her. Fedora throws herself at Samuel and tells him to kill her. There is an altercation and when Fedora and Gonzo start arguing, Samuel shoots up in the air, grabs Gonzo and points the gun at his head demanding that he answer his question.

Martin and Alicia are enjoying themselves having a picnic. After Martin makes her laugh, Alicia smiles and states that he always manages to make her smile as she holds his hands. When she slowly pulls her hands away, Martin assures her that he won’t burn her. Alicia knows and Martin understands that she can’t believe she is holding hands with a man who isn’t Serjerk. Alicia tells him that she has to leave, but Martin wants her to accompany him to the theater. Though Alicia would love to go, she wants to think about it. Martin agrees but asks her not to leave him because once she leaves, his day will have no purpose.

At school, Miranda can’t believe Diego didn’t run after Nicole. When Diego tells her that the odd ones are more fun, Miranda doesn’t understand why they think she is odd. Just then, Sofia passes by and Diego stops her and asks her to take some pics of them; so she agrees and takes picc of several poses. As Miranda and Diego look at the photos, they smile tenderly at each other.

Lorena goes to look for Gonzo at the bakery. The boss tells her that Gonzo is over an hour late which is very odd. Lorena tries to call gonzo but gets no answer.

Meanwhile, Samuel is still interrogating Gonzo. When he asks if Gonzo slept with Lorena, Gonzo denies it. Fedora tries to reason with Samuel telling him that Gonzo probably doesn’t even understand what is going on since he is a “mocoso” (kid with a runny nose). She assures Samuel that nothing has happened between her and Gonzo. When she asks if he is willing to go to prison because of the false hopes of a young man for a woman twice his age, Samuel finally listens and puts his gun down telling Gonzo to leave, but Gonzo refuses; so Fedora yells at him to “Get out!!” After she insults him and calls him a squincle (kid), Gonzo runs out, but when he is outside, he calls the cops to report that he heard a shot at Fedora’s house.

At the doctor’s office, the doctor shows Fabian and Rebeca her x-rays and tells them that they found something in her brain. Rebeca thinks she has a tumor, but the doctor tells her that she doesn’t…they need to run some more tests to find out what it is.

At the casino, Eva cries and complains that the slot machine stole all her money. When the manager is called, he points out that she has built up a large debt and she will not be given any more credit.

At Fedora’s house, the cops arrive and Samuel lies that he was cleaning his gun and it went off.

Julieta let’s her reporter buddy in and shows him the closet full of SerJerk’s clothes to prove to the reporter that SerJerk is living there. She wants him to report that Sergio is divorcing his wife after 30 years of marriage.

SerJerk calls in Diablo and questions him about Martin and Alicia. When Serjerk tells him that they are now friends, Diablo acts surprised, so SerJerk tells him to find out what he can. Just then Eva arrives asking to talk to SerJerk.

 

DEJAN - Ep 34, Part 2: Against All Odds…and Conniving Snakes

At the park, Martin and Alicia are still together. Alicia worries that SerJerk is looking for any reason to get back at her so they need to be careful when the meet. If Serjerk fids out, he will use it against her and accuse her of being unfaithful. Martin wonders what will happen to all his plans’ so Alicia tells him that it is only for now; she wants to avoid Serjerk thinking that there is something between them. Martin asks if there isn’t anything between them…after all, he has sleepless nights thinking about her. Alicia admits that there is something but they can put a name to it …and they kiss!!

Eva is dissing Alicia and telling SerJerk that everything at home is a disaster. When Serjerk asks if she has found out anything about Martin, Eva suggests that they hire a detective…because if something is happening, they need to stop it. Eva then makes up a sob story about not having enough money for her meds that are so expensive…and she doesn’t have enough money. Serjerk asks how much she needs.

Yuri returns to the prison with an order that allows her to see Cholo. Meanwhile, Moises is with Cholo and asking him about the day of the murder. When Cholo mentions that he was taking care of his bonsais, Moises recalls Yuri mentioning them and tells Cholo that he doesn’t believe him…he usually doesn’t believe any of his clients…but Cholo needs to trust him. (Trying making sense of that!)

Gonzo calls Fedora but she doesn’t answer so he leaves a message to call him because he needs to know if she is okay…and if what she said is true or if she was just saying it to help him out of there. Gonzo’s boss approaches and scolds him for not paying attention to what he is doing.

Fedora is with Rebeca and Alicia. She tells them what happened with Samuel but is careful not to identify that it was Gonzo that she was with. Rebeca and Alicia tell her that she cannot stay at her house.

At the school, Miranda is talking to her friend. Nicole approaches and after she harasses Miranda, she warns her to stay away from Diego. When Miranda asks what she should do if Diego is the one who looks for her, Nicole has a hissy fit and leaves.

Moises sees Yuri at the prison. When she tells him that she is there to visit Cholo, Moises tells her that Cholo can’t have visitors. Yuri retorts that he has no right to restrict visits and threatens to report him. Yuri wonders why he is bothered by her seeing Cholo, but Moises ignores her and orders the guard not to let her in. Poor guard looks like he is stuck between a rock and a hard place! When Yuri insists that she is going in, Moises wonders why she cares so much for that murderer, Yuri reminds him that he is Cholo’s lawyer and he shouldn’t be calling him a murder; she pleads with him to defend Cholo. Moises is disappointed with Yuri’s attitude and is embarrassed by her behavior. He walks out but Yuri follows; she admits that her attitude isn’t the best and gives him back the ring. She tells him that his attitude, professionally and personally, is ridiculous. What he is doing to Cholo makes no sense and he should be ashamed.

Gonzo tries to makes excuses to Lorena. When he tells her that he has been busy at the bakery, she knows he is lying to her.

Facundo and Karina are looking over all the evidence. Facundo points out that there are many things that don’t jive. When Facundo leaves to get something, Maruja comments that Martin is only trying to ensure justice. Karina takes the opportunity to mention that Martin has not been seeing things clearly ever since that “lady” showed up…a lady that could be as old as Maruja. Maruja thinks Karina must be confused. Just then Karina gets a text from Mujica; he needs her at the office ASAP.
 

DEJAN - Ep 34, Part 3: Against All Odds…and Conniving Snakes

Diablo warns Martin that SerJerk is very close to finding out about his thing with Alicia. Martin thinks it’s good news, but Diablo tells him that it could be very dangerous and everyone there, including Diablo, could be affected. He tells Martin to think about that consequences of his actions; Martin needs to think about what he is going to do because Diablo will no longer be his “alcahuete” (go-between).

The three amigas are still together. Alicia tells them about the strong feelings she experiences when she is with Martin…he is a very special man. When Alicia comments that she shouldn’t even be considering a relationship with Martin…Rebeca assumes it’s because of the age difference. After Alicia tells them about her encounter with Karina, Fedora suggests that they change Alicia’s “look”.

The school director tells Miranda that they can’t give her any more chances because there has been another complaint…she was seen taking drugs. Miranda knows it had to be Nicole and wonders why they are believing everything Nicole says.

Yuri chats with Chela and mentions that Andreina warned her that Moises has a dark side. She fears that Moises took over Cholo’s case to make sure he stays in prison. (Doesn’t take a much to figure tha one out, Yuri!)

Moises and Asote talk about the escape. Cholo tells him that he is getting out of there…legally.

Fedora takes Alicia to her beautician. Alicia notices that Rebeca is preoccupied so Rebeca tells them that she went to the doctor because she has been having problems with her memory. She knows that this is not something that is normal because there are days that she feels gets very anxious and her mind goes blank.

Serjerk is meeting with Fabian and Julio, They talk about the ratings and how SerJerk’s personal problems are affecting them. SerJerk also wants to talk about buying some shares, but Fabian tells him this is not the day to talk about that…because of what social media is talking about. He shows Serjerk the headline that Serjerk is getting a divorce. Meanhwhile, Julieta is having lunch with Chiquis and cheers when they see that the report is out.

At the beauty shop, Fedora shows Alicia the headline.

At the station, Serjerk is sure that it was Martin who leaked the news. Julio tells him to look at the good side….this might raise the ratings!

Martin is with his mother who notices the twinkle in his eyes. When she asks who is responsible, Martin only tells her that the woman is extraordinary. Maruka insists and asks for details.

At the prison, several prisoners including Cholo appear to have food poisoning and the doctor calls to report that they all need to go to the hospital.

Gonzo calls Fedora, but Alicia answers and recognizes his voice.

The prisoners are enroute to the hospital. Asote gives Cholo a pill that will make him feel better. When Cholo asks what is going on, Asote tells him that this was the only way he could make sure that Cholo joined them. Suddenly the vehicle rolls over!

Serjerk meets with the private detective and tells him to follow Martin and Alicia. He orders the detective to find something that will ruin the lady’s reputation…he has 48 hours!!

Last night surprised me in several areas:

Eva is gambling addict and will use her own daughter to fuel her source of money by suggesting that Sergio hire a detective.

They didn’t jump to a dementia diagnosis for Rebeca and have found an abnormality in her brain.

Diablo tries to warn Martín how his careless behavior could affect them all and Martín just sort of blows him off.

Yuri says she isn’t looking for a new job after her run in with Moisés at the jail.

The school principal automatically believes Nicole. Why?

Gonzo almost gets fired but as soon as his boss takes him back, he is on his phone.

Poor Cholo is poisoned to force him a part of the breakout.

RgvChick, your superb writing and picture-perfect details were an excellent accompaniment to this very exciting episode!

Superb title and your recap was sharp, focused and all encompassing.

Some of the storylines flipped the script, putting an entirely different spin on everything. Jarifa, some non-formulatic events transpired and I was also surprised (and not entirely happy with the results).

How many times will Fedora and Gonzalo have luck (and God) with them??

I don’t know how Gonzalo is still working. His mind is not there – how many chances will he be given? As uncomfortable as Gonzalo and Fedora’s relationship is, for them and for us, they have to sort out their feelings and focus on staying alive. Fedora must leave the house and not return until Samuel is behind bars.

I thought the inmates escape plan was going to include Cholo one way or the other, especially with the surly inmate spying on Cholo, but I couldn’t think of how they would get him to go along. Asote seemed to sadly be involved in hoodwinking Cholo. The plan was well thought out and now no one (save Yuri) will not believe Cholo didn’t participate of his own volition. Cholo’s facial expressions of the drug’s effects were very well done.

“Diablo tries to warn Martín how his careless behavior could affect them all and Martín just sort of blows him off”. Agree Jarifa, Martin seems strangely oblivious and seems to care only about continuing to woo and wear down Alicia.

“When Diego tells her that the odd ones are more fun, Miranda doesn’t understand why they think she is odd”. I don’t either. When Nicole went after Miranda last night, her face transformed into ugliness.

Eva going to Sergio was cringeworthy. And Sergio’s little cheek twitching was on full display last night 😊

Great, RGV Chick.

Once again, Serjerk sinks down another level. At this rate he will be down lower than Dante's Inferno at the 75% mark of the series.

Eva is even lower than that already. It's not enough that Alicia is suffering private humiliation she will now suffer public humiliation? A mother selling out her own daughter in the name of greed? That is beyond disgusting.

Yuri needs a new job, but will Moises screw that up? The theme of this program seems to be all about women getting screwed over by men.

Miranda did herself no favor sweeping stuff off the counselor's desk before walking out. She did ask the relevant question on her way. WTH do they always believe Nicole?

On another note, how is it that Miranda and Culebra get away with wearing headphones in school? In my time that would never have been tolerated.

Gonzalo's call to the police might be traceable back to his number but Samuel is probably congratulating himself over the fear he create in him.

Martin should also look for another job before Serjerk and Juleech ruin his career.

There is nothing wrong with Alicia's look. Fedora can go kick rocks.

YEs, last night's episode was surprising and had me shaking my head several times.

Can't say much more about Ev-addict...she is deplorable.

I'm somewhat glad Rebeca was not diagnosed with dementia and hoping that whatever brain abnormality she has is treatable.

Gonzo is another frustration. He and Martin are acting in pretty much the same way. Will he be as astute as Fedora in coming up with some excuse for calling Fedora? Doubt it! He's a bad liar!

Miranda made a good point; could Nicole's parents have more money, status and pull with the director?? That's a head scratcher.

Despite his gorgeous eyes, Martin is frustratingly indifferent to everyone except himself...and Alicia; he's acting like a lovelorn teenager and ignoring how other people will be affected.

With friends like Asote, who needs Moises! Still feeling sorry for Cholo who has done nothing but fall in love.

ITA, both Martin and Yuri need to look for jobs elsewhere. Yuri will probably do well, but Martin's head is not in any type of job right now. I'm not sure he would be a good candidate for hire.

So .any people who are only interested in getting what they want Serg wants his perfect life back. Moisses wants a perfect , obedient trophy wife. Sam wants Fedora in his control. Gonzo wants Mrs. Robinson. Jul wants fame, fortune, and Serg(why?) Martin wants Alicia.Karina wants Martin. Eva wants $$$ to lose at the casino.

Diana, I, too, wonder how long Fedora and Gonzo can have good luck since as soon as Gonzo was assured of his job, he was immediately on the phone to her. For all he knew, Samuel could have been with her. The kid is an idiot as well as Fedora. How will he explain his phone call to Fedora to his mother? Job hunting help? ITA about how ill Cholo looked. The make up department did a great job. Glad you saw the twitch. LOL

RgvChick, “Still feeling sorry for Cholo who has done nothing but fall in love.” So well put. Now what? He will suffer whether he runs or not for no fault of his own.

Urban, the headphones were no surprise given the times and the fact that they are definitely attending an upper crust school where it seems the kids are left to their own devices and tuition $$ keeps it going. ITA Alicia looks good just as she is.

Just a thought. If Guillermo only spent one night together with Maria Amparo, shouldn't he know whether Valentina or Nora is his real daughter just by their age? Why does he need a DNA test?
 

TU AMOR ep 63 part 1

Yolanda says she came to the press conference to tell everyone that she's sorry about what happened with Camila's video. Valentina tells her it's obvious that she's behind it and that she took first place from Helena in Madrid. She also succeeded in destroying everyone's reputation. Yolanda says it was professional, but she knows that Helena wanted an advantage because they're from the same country. You're witnesses that I came to clear up this affair, Yolanda tells the press. But I wasn't well received. It's a shame really. Someday they will realize who you really are, says Valentina. Can I show you the door? I advise you not to mess with me Valentina, Yolanda replies, because you're not going to like the consequences. And I advise you not to threaten Valentina or anyone in this house of fashion, says Claudio. Ah, Helena Vargas' star lawyer came out to defend his novia. Congratulations, Yolanda tells Helena as she goes. Your place is beautiful. Claudio walks away when Val tries to talk to him.

Hector gets another call from Patricia. She wants him to take her to Guillermo's house. She got another threatening message and she's scared. He says he doesn't want to deal with señor Vargas again. He doesn't want to cause more problems for Helena. Pat says she'll see him at lunchtime, and she won't take no for an answer. OK, he says. I'll be there.

The press conference starts and Camila says that Helena has always been good to her. And since she started working there has always supported her and helped her become a better person and model. Sorry for doubting you, Bernard the reporter begins, but that video looks very real. It's your voice. Yes, but.... So, you're confirming that you said it?, another reporter asks. I said it but the questions... Is Helena forcing you to speak well of her? No, the video was altered. I was speaking about Yolanda Pratas. So, this is a trick to make Yolanda Pratas look bad? It's revenge because she didn't choose Helena as winner of fashion week? Helena is a despot? I never said that!, Camila says in desperation. This press conference is over, shouts Leonardo, herding everyone up the staircase. You've fallen lower than ever Helena Vargas, a reporter shouts. This is the end of your career.

Adelaida is talking to Father Darío on a bench in a park. Guillermo had asked her if she ever loved anyone as he loved Maria Amparo and she couldn't answer him. Who was the man?, father asks. Armando Manrique, she answers. Everyone thought I went to Paris to study to be a chef but no. It was to forget him, to get away from him, and... and to have his child. Yes, Dario, I have a child that I haven't seen for forty years. I want to find him. Are you sure you want to open that door?, father asks. It might cause pain and not consolation. I need to look for my son, she says.

Patricia calls Arcadio to her office to ask for a favor. She knows he's very discreet and it's a personal matter. I need more information about this man, she says, handing him a manila folder. She also hands over some money and thanks him for his discretion.

Claudio and Helena overhear Valentina and Rocio talking in the studio. The employees are worried about losing their jobs. That's not going to happen, Valentina assures her. Because this fashion house is about talent. It's about care. That's how we're going to respond to the attacks of others. With optimism. With Honesty. Helena tells Claudio she thinks Valentina is incredible but he is too. She says they shouldn't let hate and lies destroy them. She says she only is telling him that because she cares about him.
 

TU AMOR ep 63 part 2

Camila and Ricardo are at an outside restaurant. When the federal tax agents come to Helena's taller, he wants Camila to tell them that Valentina quit the week before and left to live in the United States. Cami doesn't understand and asks if Valentina is in danger. She agrees to do it and says he can always count on her.

Consuelo is cleaning some of Claudio's scrapes with alcohol in her kitchen. She says she's going to tell him something because she cares for him. There are loves that are only found once in life. One has to protect them from everything. Valentina was going to adopt a baby and form a family with you. I'm going to ask you something and I want you to think about it. Can you imagine your life without Valentina? Is that what your heart wants?

When Val gets back to her apartment the hall is lined with rose petals and candles. There is a sign that says "There are loves that are only found once in life". Another sign says, "And those loves should not be let go." When she unlocks the door and enters, she finds Claudio waiting for her. I can't imagine life without you, he says hugging her. We can't let our love die. She asks how he was able to do everything and he says a little angel helped him. He plays some music on his phone and says this moment was stolen at their wedding but no one is going to take it from them now. He draws her close and they slowly dance. They wake up the next morning together and he asks her to come back home. She loves him and they'll be together but she's never been on her own before. She wants to know what it's like to have her own place.

Leonardo sees how happy Valentina is when she comes to work. He thinks it's because of her new position as head designer. She finishes brushing her hair but has to hurry away. He takes some hairs from her brush and puts them in a ziplock bag which he stashes in his pocket.

Everyone is in a great mood at breakfast in Consuelo's house. Everyone except Horacio. He says there are people that like being treated with contempt. Consuelo congratulates Claudio. How good that you don't let your problems keep you apart. Horacio continues to pout. The doorbell rings and someone is pounding on the door. It's Anelís and she needs Claudio's help. Fatima, her little girl has been taken.

Patricia asked Enrique to come to her office. She needs his help. What can I do for you now?, he asks. Kidnap me, she replies, I need Hector to feel that he could lose me. Forget about it, says Enrique. That's never going to happen. If you do it, I'll be yours, Pat says putting her arms around him and kissing him. Enrique glances at the security camera during the kiss.

Anelís says that Fatima's father took her and he won't bring her back unless she gives him money. She's worried because he's violent. She says she knows where he lives but it's well protected. The police told her they can't do anything because he's the baby's father. Claudio calls Valentina to let her know. He doesn't want her to come but she leaves him no option. He has to send her the address.
 

TU AMOR ep 63 part 3

n their usual hotel room, Leonardo asks Yolanda why she hates Helena so much. When I met Guillermo, she says, he was the most attractive man I ever saw. He was overflowing with virility, gallantry, and money. I had my high fashion workshop, but I was young and hungry for success. The world of fashion began to settle at my feet. When I met him I fell in love. I had just lost my first love and didn't want to be alone so I fought for him. But that no talent seamstress snatched him from me. Stella. Guillermo and I should have gotten married but that nasty woman got pregnant by him. They had a son and a daughter that I hated since the day they were born. Alfonso and Helena. They got married and I remained alone. And if that wasn't bad enough she took my shop and I was forced to start over with nothing. Yolanda forces herself not to cry and continues. The house where Helena Vargas has her shop was mine. Helena bought it because it reminded her of Stella. When Stella died, Guillermo sold it and the other designer abandoned it. Now I want to get it back and I won't rest until I get what I desire. So, if I have to hurt your family...or whoever gets in my way I'm going to do it. Do you want to be part of my shop when I get it back or not? No, he says, I'm not going to be part of your shop. I'm going to be your partner. That's the price for ruining my family. So be it, partner, she says kissing him.

Helena's in a bind because Francesco wants an answer to his proposal and Majo can't reach Claudio. He says he'd love to be able to give her until tomorrow but needs an answer right away. Helena reluctantly signs the contract.

As Hector approaches Patricia in his cab she gives him a wave. Just then a van pulls up and some hooded men jump out and grab her. Hector gets a call from an unknown contact. We warned you imbecile. You got invloved with people you shouldn't and now this woman is going to pay. Help me Hector, Patricia pleads. I'm afraid. What is it that you want?, Hector asks the caller. I don't have any money. We know that loser. This is to teach you not to mess with us. The caller turns out to be Enrique using voice altering technology. Everything went perfectly, Patricia tells Enrique. Now I need you to hit me.

Horacio, Consuelo, sister, Claudio, and Anelís arrive at Fatima's father's house. Open the door Brian, Anelis says, banging on a reinforced metal door. Give me my daughter. Did you bring money?, he asks. When he comes out of the house, Claudio tries to reason with him. You're not getting her back unless you pay, says Brian. He pulls a knife when Claudio gets too close. I'm the law here and you know it, he says getting himself worked up. When Valentina shows up, he grabs her in a headlock. Get back, he shouts with the knife near her throat.

Gonzalo is a foolish young man and Lorena is too good for him at this time. Despite what I said in my previous post it will only be a matter of time before Samuel has the light bulb moment.

What I don't want to see happen is Alicia and Fedora getting into it in the beauty parlor. The immediate worst of this situation is that it gives Eva more fuel for her toxic fire. Slightly longer term, Samuel is looking for an excuse to kill and it won't take much to provoke him next time.
 

TU AMOR. Another superb recap, JoelD! It's hard to believe how Yolanda keeps getting away with her evil ways and the press is on her side (though Bernard is obviously still mad about having to issue a retraction and is out for revenge against Helena and Claudio himself). I hope Patricia's fake kidnapping is exposed quickly. Ok. Now who will turn out to be Adelaida's son? Is he still in France? (Or could he be Francesco?) And that generation of male characters (Guillermo, Armando, etc.) and some of the females (Helena's mother) seem to have been completely incapable of being faithful. Period reference: It seems to have been a regular Peyton Place here! I can't believe the tax agents are so gullible as to believe what Camila tells them about Val being in the US and maybe they don't). Once again Consuelo saves the day, but how did Claudio get into Val's apartment? Ah, what will the new DNA sample reveal and will Leo be honest about the results? In Mexico can fathers kidnap their children? Really? So Leo is willing to destroy is family if he can be Yolanda's partner? He trusts her? Also, Yolanda's motive for attacking Helena seems both petty and unfair. Helena had nothing to do with her parents' offenses. I suspect professional jealousy is a bigger motive than she's admitting. I hope Brian gets his quickly! + he seems to be either drunk r on drugs.

JoelD, another stellar recap. You aim higher with each successive recap and hit the mark every time.

Camila isn’t playing the martyr, but the writers are certainly making her one. Abuses and lies being laid at her feet and in her heart at an intolerable rate. And the press, sensing blood have all moved in for the kill.

Helena is also a favorite whipping post. Ruination seems imminent, how will she and her business be salvaged??

Who has the original video of Camila and Beba? Will Beba “turn” on Yolanda? Yolanda has no sense of loyalty and will dispatch her without a thought.
Yolanda was a loser in love. Twice. And yet what a raging inferno her hatred has sparked.

So Adelaida has a son. Another revelation, a bit surprising but this is keeping the storyline fresh. Hmmm, I wonder if it is someone we know?

The Fatima kidnapping drama was unexpected. And sordid. I loathe kidnappings and hope this is resolved quickly.

And I agree SpanProf, jeaousy is one of the many vile ingredients explaining Yolanda's jealousy. I can't imagine how Helena is going to combat all of this.

Urban, if the writers do try to bring Gonzalo back with Lorena and are able to make that occur with any level of believability, I will be surprised. I still feel Gonzalo loves Fedora and Lorena deserves someone who will put her first. She doesn't deserve to be a consolation prize.

I’m putting the recap up shortly.

Rgv Chick: What I noticed was ultimos capitulos de temporada, not a gran final. That gave me hope that the rest of the dizi will be shown at a later date. I totally get why they would want to take a break at this point and I agree if that’s what they decided. I can’t explain more without spoiling.

I followed all the news surrounding this series very closely but that is not for discussion here either. There was no alternate ending filmed. It wrapped up on Turkish episode 52. And as with any TN/dizi, the viewers were left to debate how it went.

I just hope we get the remaining 16 Turkish episodes.

Sahra is relieved. She thought Sancar sent these men. Kman says, you are lucky, Sancar doesn’t know about this. Gediz got you out and I picked you up. Sahra replies, that's right, but ... I won’t lie. You have a vision that Gediz does not. I felt like I was going to faint. I'm terrified. Kman says he likes that and tells her, let it be a lesson, so you don't dare hang up on me again. Sahra asks, did you bring me here to chastise me?

Kman responds, I remembered something—why are you here? I heard that Akin no longer exists. So why are you interested Menekse's baby? Sahra answers, ...it may be that I find the grave of my brother with that baby. I'm going to use the Sancar’s son to take me to my brother.

Kman warns Sahra, I don't like to use innocent people, it's not good. If something happens to the baby, or to Melek, or to Nare, I warn you that I am going to kill you. Okay, Sahra says, I see how important Nare is. I won’t solve the matter with her. I'll take care of my brother’s killer—Sancar. Kman says, I have another question. We observed how you murdered that man without hesitation. If what you are looking for is revenge, it’s better to kill Sancar. So, now you want the corpse of your brother and send Sancar to prison? Don't you think that’s too correct for a psychopath?

Sahra sighs and admits, okay, I’m looking for my brother's body for the ... inheritance. Kman questions—inheritance? Yes, inheritance. Kman asks, do you think you're going to inherit Akin's money? Sahra says, I am his only relative, the inheritance should be mine. Kman tries to play along, sure, it has to be yours, it belongs to you. Sahra senses something and asks, do you know anything about that? Kman plays dumb, no, I don't know anything. Good luck, I hope you find that corpse soon, doctor.

Sahra says thanks and that she has to go. Kman sends her off with another warning. He shows her his phone with the shot of his recording. As long as I have this, he tells her, you will have to obey me. If you make a mistake, the police will have it and Sancar will find out that Akin is your brother. Am I clear, doctor? Or is Sahra, better? Unhappy Sahra leaves the van. Kman says wow, she goes after the inheritance, too. What a girl.

The doorbell rings and wakes Nare and Elvan who fell asleep together on the couch. It’s Sahra. Elvan exclaims, ah, you arrived! But it's very late, we thought that you weren’t coming anymore. Sahra apologizes, I had a shift change and I fixed myself up a little. Nare asks her to come in.

Nare brings Sahra upstairs and says, this is your room. Sahra notes that this is Nare’s bedroom. Nare replies, I’ll sleep with Melek… actually, I always do. Sahra is surprised, will you really give me your room? I don’t know how to thank you. Nare says, there is nothing to be thankful for; I am your friend. Not sure if there is any sincerity, but Sahra says to both women, I appreciate it very much. You ... are so gentle and so warm with me. She puts her arms out for a hug. I love you like nobody else. The women hug.

Elvan says it’s enough, she’s getting emotional, and she has to go to court tomorrow. She needs to sleep. Sahra says she’s grateful and doesn’t know how to thank them for everything. They bid each other good night. Sahra closes the door and takes a plastic bag out of her purse. They are bugs, the kind you listen with. When everyone is asleep, she plants them—by the fireplace, in the kitchen and out on the patio.

Next morning, Sancar tells Melek, after Elvan’s trial, your mother and I will come to pick you up, okay? Halise comes upstairs with a bundle. Melek says, meanwhile, my grandmother and I are going to prepare wedding cupcakes. Halise laughs, they are not wedding cupcakes, they are wedding packages.

Sancar questions this, isn't it too early to do them? Halise asks Melek to go upstairs to find the blue beads (nazars to word off the evil eye) in the bureau drawer so she can add them to the packages. Melek goes. Halise asks Sancar why he questioned. Sancar says it’s because of the divorce today. Halise replies, you attend the one who is going to get divorced, I'll take care of my other daughter-in-law. Go, see you later, Sancar. Sancar sighs and heads for the door.

He is stopped by Feride. Sancar! The dreams came back to me. Sancar whispers to her, I will not open that grave again. Feride says it's not about that, it's something else. She tells him, take me to Menekse. Sancar is puzzled, what happened with Menekse?

Feride replies, I must see if the baby is still alive. Sancar can’t believe this, why wouldn't my baby be alive, he asks? Feride says, I had a vision. In that vision Menekse gave birth to a melon and then gave birth to another melon. So I have to see her, Feride insists, take me to her! Sancar calls her crazy. Feride gets angry, if I asked you to kick someone’s butt, you’d do it! You delinquent! She pokes at him with her cane and throws her glass of milk on him. Sancar grunts and exhales… give me patience.

Halise brings her bundle into the kitchen where Gulsiye and Ayse are working on meal prep. Halise says, we are preparing this and a bath for the bride. She asks Gulsiye to prepare the hamam. Ayse says, but Elvan is getting divorced. Gulsiye asks, will we celebrate while Elvan gets divorced? Halise answers yes, as long as Elvan Hanım divorces Yahya by choice, let's celebrate big with my new daughter-in-law. Gulsiye thinks Nare won’t come, She won’t leave Elvan alone for a bath.

Melek comes into the kitchen. Grandma! I was finally able to find the nazars. Halise tells Melek, well done, beautiful, and gives her granddaughter a kiss. She turns to Gulsiye and says, Nare would never say no to Melek.

Muge tells her mother, your secret admirer sent the 850 thousandth bouquet. Refika is ticked and says keep one and I'll give Halise the rest. Muge asks, why? What happened? Refika replies, you know what happened. [Turkish] She invited us to the bridal bath as if she is mocking us. Muge says, really? This is a strange situation. What are we going to do? Refika doesn’t know what to do.

Gediz walks into the room and says for them to go. Muge asks why. Refika asks won’t you be offended if we go? Gediz says, no. Nare is not comfortable with traditions. Don't leave her alone among the Efeoglus. Muge wonders why her brother is so calm about this. She says, when Zehra forbade you to sign the checks, you didn't even care. You're up to something, right? Gediz laughs and tells his sister, you are very cruel, seriously, you are very cruel. He leaves with a big smile.

Sancar shows up at Nare’s. It’s a very uncomfortable pause when Nare opens the door to him. Nare finally says, Elvan is inside. Come in, I made some tea. Sahra greets Sancar, good morning, brother-in-law. Sancar laughs, how should I answer? Good morning, sister-in-law? He looks at Nare. She is not amused.

Nare says she will get the tea and goes inside. Sancar sighs and follows her into the kitchen. He watches her pour the tea and then moves in close and gives her those eyes. He asks, will we be like this? Won't you talk to me? Nare turns her eyes down. She knows not to look for too long.

She tries to change the topic. You spilled something on yourself, she says. He doesn’t take his eyes off of her and answers, yes, I know. She is still trying not to look at him—what was it, Sancar? What happened? Feride finally forgot about the grave, he tells her, but now she wants to examine the baby Menekse is expecting. And that's why she spilled milk on me.

Nare is ticked. I understand, she says. You defended Menekse, of course. She tries to leave and he stops her. He tells her, you don't have to be jealous. He moves in very close, they are nose to nose with their eyes closed and she warns him, don't try to kiss me or I'll throw the tea on you. Sancar says, you would burn more. They are millimeters away from a kiss and the doorbell rings. The spell is broken and Nare escapes.

The bridal brigade has arrived, with Melek leading the way. Nare is surprised but welcomes them. Muge says to Nare, don't tell me you didn't know. Nare says she might have had an idea but doesn't understand what is happening. She looks at Sancar. He says, don’t look at me. My mother had mentioned the ceremony, but never said it would be today, believe me.

Elvan appears in the yard. She tells everyone, I'm going to get coffee. Hellise says to Elvan, no thanks, but since you are still part of us, you will open the packages. [how awful this woman is] Oh boy, how Nare glares at Sancar. He doesn’t know what to do. Even Refika says, don't you consider that this will look vulgar? Halise answers, tell me why you consider it vulgar. This is my tradition, it's my custom. She orders Elvan to start.

I don’t know why but Elvan complies and unties the first bundle. She shows everyone some knitted things. She opens the second bundle and opens a box. We don’t see the whole thing but it looks like lingerie. Elvan holds it up and says, but this is underwear. Sancar looks away. Nare rushes over to Elvan and puts the lingerie back in the box. It's alright, it's okay, she says.

Nare quickly says, Halise Hanım, thank you-- Halise interrupts, Halise Hanım or… Halise Anne (mother)? Or maybe just Anne… never Halise Hanım. That’s a shocker to both Nare and Sancar. Nare starts again, Halise Hanım, I really appreciate it—Halise interrupts her again and reminds her, Halise Anne.

Nare calls her Halise Anne this time. Thank you very much for all your effort and also for all the presents. But we have to file Elvan's divorce today. Halise signals to Melek. Melek speaks up, mom, can't you stay with us to celebrate? You will have your ceremony. You will go to the mansion with us and we will bathe together.

Nare asks her daughter, what are we going to do? Halise answers, the Turkish bath, it is traditional. It is done before the wedding. Ayse is preparing the bath. Poor Elvan is quietly upset. Nare says, Halise Hanım, I didn't-- I couldn't do it… this is not the time to do it. I can’t attend. Halise asks, why can’t we celebrate? I will not ignore the traditions, just because Elvan and Yahya have a divorce trial today.

Nare calmly says, Halise Hanım, what you said is horrible. Sancar finally steps in, mother, enough is enough, okay? Let's forget tradition, alright? He turns to Elvan, get ready, let's go.

Nare looks at Melek, are you angry, my love? Elvan stops in the doorway of the house and watches the mother and daughter. Melek looks disappointed and says, no. I thought we could dance using towels and a spoon, but you're right. You have to accompany Elvan, I understand. You have to go.

Elvan tells Melek, your mother can stay with you. She looks at Halise and says, what would the future wife do in court? Elvan adds, Sancar cannot stay for the ceremony, that's why ... I'm afraid he will have to accompany me. Halise tells Nare, Elvan abandons you while we all celebrate your marriage.

Nare puts her arm around Elvan and says, she cares about me and I understand her, Halise Hanım. I consider her my sister, right? Elvan nods yes. She tells Elvan, you have to go to trial. I’ll stay here and take the Turkish bath. Elvan nods again and goes into the house. Sancar says he’ll start the car. Nare is staring at him as if it’s his fault. [I guess it’s all those damn “rules” again.] Refika whispers to Halise, this girl is rude, right? Halise smiles, I’ll soften her up, Refika, she will be like silk.

Yahya shows up at Dudu’s. She’s surprised and asks, isn’t your trial today? Yes, but I need to tell you something before the trial begins, he says. I thought about last night. You said that if I marry you, my family would ignore me, right? Dudu knows her words hit the mark, that's right, she confirms. Yahya tells her, they will not be able to.

Elvan asks Sancar to stop the car. He asks if she is feeling sick. He pulls over and she gets out sobbing. Sancar curses his brother, the idiot. Sancar gets out of the car and asks Elvan, what's wrong? You don’t feel well?

Elvan tells Sancar, I made a very big mistake, right? What mistake, he asks? Elvan confesses, I knew about Loki and kept it a secret. Menekse threatened my husband and I hired Loki. Menekse cut the wedding dress and blamed Melek. She sobs, I’m sorry, I was silent. I couldn't open my mouth. You almost died, Sancar. Nare worried so much for you, but I ... I kept silent.

Sancar is understanding. He tells her, let's finish this today and then I'll ask you everything I want to know, and you will answer. But not here, okay? Elvan insists, let's get this over with, right here. She asks Sancar, am I wrong again? There are only two people who have always been with me, two people, but I forgot them again. She can’t stop crying. Sancar tries to calm her. He tells her, my mother doesn’t know what she says. You know how she is, don’t be sad.

Elvan says that she (Halise) is absolutely right. They will criticize my loyalty, they will criticize the love I have for them, they will criticize that I divorced your brother. Sancar looks a little frustrated, but he listens to Elvan as she says, your brother's heart is bleeding and crying; he struggles with being an Efeoglu or a lover.

Elvan continues, they will talk about me, they will say that I am a woman who keeps complaining because her husband cheated on her. They will say that I abandoned my husband, and they will speak ill of me. They will say I only care my problems. I am so sick of everything.

Sancar hugs Elvan and says, calm down, no one is going to speak ill of you. And if they say something, he assures her, I'm going to take care of it. Elvan continues to cry in his arms and Sancar tells her, everything will be fine.

Back to the adulterer and the homewrecker. Explain to me what that means, Dudu asks. Yahya replies, whatever you want. Dudu laughs…will I be the new daughter-in-law of the mansion? Yahya answers, well, I'm not sure that they will accept us, but ... Dudu smiles and laughs. Yahya gets a call from his lawyer. It’s stunning news. Yahya tells Dudu, Elvan ... is not getting divorced.

The bridal bath celebration is in full swing with music and dancing. Even Feride is smiling and waving a tambourine. The exception is Nare; she looks joyless.
Elvan makes an entrance into the bath. Everything comes to a halt. Nare perks up. Halise glares. Elvan smiles and announces, I came to dance with you. Nare runs to embrace her friend. Elvan says, I came for you, just for you.

Halise proclaims, you abandoned Yahya and I will not allow you to join the group. Elvan responds, who told you I got divorced? Elvan looks at Nare and says, I won't do it until Nare gets used to this ... family. Halise asks, what will you do? Will you show her how to defend herself? Of course not, Elvan laughs and replies, Nare knows how to take care of herself. It is not easy being a daughter-in-law. I don't intend to leave her alone with you. Who else will she have discussions with, mother-in-law? Halise’s mood changes. You are absolutely right, she says, the merry Elvan arrived, my Elvan returned. Come here. Halise hugs her but Elvan hardly returns it.

Downstairs in the mansion a cell phone rings. It’s Zehra calling. No one is there to answer.

Nedim brings his phone to Kavruk who is outside the mansion gate. Zehra is calling you. Kavruk is very surprised, Zehra? A very distraught Zehra can barely speak….Kavruk? We don’t hear the rest of what she tells him but Kavruk is shaken. He runs into through the mansion gate.

The mood is high in the bath again. At least Nare is managing to smile a little now. The door opens and it’s Kavruk with his eyes tightly closed. He holds out the phone and says, I'm so sorry— The ladies scream. He says, Zehra is calling.

Nare takes the phone and Kavruk hurries away. Hello, Zehra? Nare listens then tells her, it's okay, it's okay. Calm down. We will come there. Nare takes a breath and tells everyone, Gediz ruined the company. Everyone gasps. [Look at Sahra, she has to contain herself.] Nare leaves the bath.

Sahra returns to Nare’s house. She sets up her laptop and listens to what was recorded earlier in the kitchen. She hears Sancar tell Nare that Feride finally forgot about the matter of the grave. Sahra smiles, she has a definite lead.

Nare and Kavruk arrive at the olive grove office. Zehra hurries over, Nare, it's all my fault. My brother warned me and I ignored him. Nare tells her it’s okay, we will solve it, I assure you, Zehra, it's fine.

The traitor Gediz shows up and says, and how are you going to solve it? Nare turns to face her ex bestie and lights into him. I swear you are going to lose, you are going to lose. You're not going to get away with it, Gediz. She backs him up and out of the office.

She continues, I would never go with you, even if you turned the earth upside down. Gediz replies, I know that you will not love me, you will not be mine, but Sancar will not be able to have you. All the people know about Loki's death. A man like that won't make you happy, Nare. Nare shouts at him, what’s it to you? What’s it to you? My happiness does not concern you. Go away.

Nare looks over and sees Sancar standing at a short distance. She makes a beeline to him and shouts, it’s your fault, it’s your fault! You were busy protecting your stupid honor and your absence made Gediz win! You ruined the company, this is your fault. She starts pushing him, damn you, Sancar! He pulls her in and tells her, it's okay. Gediz has not won anything. Sancar scowls at his ex-partner. And Gediz looks puzzled. [Look at Zehra putting her head on Kavruk’s shoulder, and he flinches.]

Nare exhales, seriously? Sancar says Gediz did not ruin the company. But...you and me….tell me we're okay, Nare. Gediz rolls his eyes. Sancar’s eyes are pleading. Nare stares at Sancar and says nothing.

Sahra arrives at Feride’s. She gets out and looks around. Hmm….where could that grave be? How about that little patch of greenery?

And we are out.

Lorena does deserve to be someone's one and only, but I don't think Gonzalo is ready for that. The phone call at the end of this episode is telling us that Alicia is going to find out about Fedora before we expected. I just hope Eva doesn't find out anytime soon. She would rat this out to SerJerk and that will cause all hell to break loose.

I have never watched a show with more silent stares and pregnant pauses.

Hellise is consistent . She think she runs the mansion and everyone in it. She has even managed to ignore funny, furious, fierce Feride.


All these traditions ...are they Turkish traditions of Hellise' s own , personal traditions ? She does a lot of things just to yourself into people's wounds . Queen Hellise, Mistress of the Mansion and chief puppetmaster for everyone in her universe.


I have had it with Nare. Soft kitten Nare wasn't around very long . Now she is back to being large and in charge and totally ticked at San . I am trying to be as patient as lovesick puppy San has become , but I am getting tired of trying to understand what most of these people are doing .

That small garden patch of ... Cabbages ???? ..not suspicious at all. At !east they didn't have a sign " Here lies Akin " so.Sneaky sky Sahra wants Akins $ and doesn't know Nare will inherit .

So now ...just as Yaya gives Dudu hope that he will marry her (why that sudden change?) , Elvan decides she won't divorce the weasel.

Sergio hires a detective to further humiliate and hurt his abused wife whose only crime was to blindly and faithfully love him.

Sergio is meeting with the detective, providing information including Martin’s address. His patience wearing thin, Sergio is clearly frustrated and orders him to get going.

Meanwhile, there is a surge of gunfire exchanged between the van carrying the prison escapees and the police. Azote is the next to last to alight and screams to Cholo, still handcuffed, to hurry up and get out of the van.

Alicia answers Gonzalo’s phone call to Fedora. Amazingly, Gonzalo instantaneously fabricates a plausible lie, that he made a cake for Fedora. Alicia thinks he is so sweet and murmurs that her son would make any woman a wonderful husband. Gonzalo has managed to dodge a(nother) bullet, covering his tracks with Alicia none the wiser.

Gonzalo asks Lorena if she is all right and she answers yes without meeting his gaze. He instinctively knows this is not the case and asks her what is wrong. Foolish Gonzalo, let us count the ways. She then confronts him about lying, telling him she went to the bakery, but he was not there. Lorena calls him a pathological liar...and aiming an arrow straight to his heart, adds that he is exactly like his father!

Azote grabs Cholo as a hail of gunfire erupts, with the number of bodies of both police and escapees mounting.

Facundo and Martin discuss Simon’s murder, Facundo convinced that Cholo is innocent and is being used to cover up the real murderer. Martin questions the motivation, wondering why Mujica would do that. In the midst of the discussion, Karina calls and tells him about the prison break.

DEJAN Episode 35 Not All Prisons Have Four Walls Part 2

Azote and Cholo are in an alley, Cholo imploring that he wants to turn himself in. He will explain that he knew nothing about the escape (as viewerville shake our heads, knowing full well how this admission would be received). Azote tells him not to be an ingrate...he is better off free especially with the plans he had for him.

Yuri tells Chela what has been transpiring and that she needs to find Cholo a new lawyer. Moises arrives, anger palpable, telling her Cholo escaped and snidely saying she was likely aware. He spits out that this will ensure that Cholo drown in prison.

Alicia emerges with the stylist. Her hair is a bit shorter and a bit more updated, nice but no major transformation (at least to my untrained eye). Pretty made prettier. Rebecca and Fedora smile and relay their approval. Rebecca smiles that Sergio will go crazy when he sees her. The other two amigas are immediately on alert. Alarmed, Fedora reminds her that Alicia is getting divorced.

Miranda sees the article about the divorce. Culebra sees her and calls out to her but she walks on.

Diablo, Julieta and Sergio are meeting, Julieta complaining about having to interview another senator. As Martin arrives, Sergio berates him with Julieta interjecting he couldn’t wait to leak the divorce information, could he? Sergio wants Martin to pay for what he has done. Martin grabs his bookbag, errr, backpack and stalks off. Diablo goes after him and tells Martin he needs to concentrate on Simon’s case, now that the purported killer has escaped.

Eva, in her dark shades is back at the casino, losing more money and being nasty to the staff.

Culebra asks Miranda what is going on and wants to talk and have some beer. She finally smiles.

Moises and Yuri have an all out no hands barred screaming fight for the ages. Moises erupts in an insane, violent rage. A wild eyed Yuri, likely never have seen her not so beloved in such a vile light is shaking in anger and revulsion, telling Moises Cholo likely escaped because his own lawyer was going to make sure he rotted in jail! A livid Moises goes berserk, crashing several of the bonzai plants to the ground. After Moises asks what she had to do with the escape, Yuri slaps him and demands he leave immediately, otherwise, she will call the police. Yuri collapses in Chela’s arms.

Azote gets Cholo out of his handcuffs as they cautiously snake their way around the yard. Shaken, Cholo demands to know what plans he has for him. Azote assures him that what happened is for the best because one of the other prisoners told him that Cholo would never go to trial...he would be dead before that. At that admission, we and Cholo realize Azote involved Cholo in the escape only to save him.

Sergio is still mewling about the news leak. Julieta wants to go out to dinner but Sergio is afraid that everyone will start talking and accuse him of having an affair with her. Julieta wonders when Sergio will finally admit to everyone that he IS with her? There is no time like the present.

Martin and Alicia discuss the news report about the divorce. Martin tells her it was Lalo who wrote the report and that Julieta fed him the information. They make plans to meet for lunch because Martin need his daily dose of Alicia. He does see he is being watched as the detective failed to make himself unobtrusive.

DEJAN Episode 35 Not All Prisons Have Four Walls Part 3

Fedora receives a phone call from her house and immediately knows it is from Samuel. Seeing her distraught demeanor, Alicia and Rebecca urge Fedora to threaten him that she will go to the police! Samuel reminds her they were supposed to go to the station so she could withdraw her complaint. Samuel assumes she is with “the kid’s” mother and asks to talk with her. Fedora threatens to call the police if he does not leave her house. He counters that if she plays with fire, she could get burned. He agrees to leave after reaffirming they will go to the police station the next day.

Chela and a distraught Yuri attempt to clean up the mess, the plants and Yuri both shattered. Yuri now believes what Andreina warned her about. She wonders where Cholo is and how can she get in touch with him.

Mujica gets a call about the prison break and that one of his men was killed. This makes him even more determined to catch Cholo.

Azote finds some clothes for Cholo and hands them to him along with the Great Expectations book. Azote advises Cholo not to turn himself in. Cholo will need to think about what he is going to do but thanks him for being such a good friend. They hug and Azote takes his leave telling Cholo to take care of himself. Opening the book, Cholo sees a picture of Azote and his wife. As Azote travels only a few feet away, the police spy him, roaring up and shooting Azote several times, killing him. Cholo cries and runs out of sight of the pursuing police.

Cholo and Miranda at the gaming hideaway, flirting. She calls him guapo and the compliment is returned. They stand close and kiss. Diego tells Miranda not to pay attention to the news. He wonders what she would do if the media found out that she was seeing him. Miranda replies that they would say he is intelligent, good looking, a good guy...Diego likes that she is super odd, that she fights for what she believes in and that she is super pretty.

Meanwhile the detective is stalking his prey. As he watches Alicia leaving her car, he smiles and says “bingo!”

Martin opens the door with a delighted smile. You look spectacular he manages. He hands her a book he found about the anthology of Female Latin American actresses as well as a glass of wine. Are we celebrating Alicia inquires? Yes, he tells her. They are celebrating that he is madly in love with her and that she is the most important thing in his life. Alicia has to momentarily stop his declarations of love as her unsmiling face has obviously not make the point. He affirms he knows he is going too fast, but he does it because he knows they are the perfect couple and their story will be unforgettable. Alicia reminds him again of their age difference but Martin thinks it shouldn’t matter. Alicia argues that he doesn’t have to live with old age yet...she has to take meds, wear glasses...things he doesn’t need to do yet. She reminds him that he is a father and she could be a grandmother. Never deterred, Martín teases her that he will get there someday. Viewerville ponders the point that Martin professes to understand Alicia’s concerns but really, does he? Despite the warnings, he continues moves faster than lightening.

Miranda leaves Culebra with something to ruminate on. She lays it on the line - she will not be with him until he breaks up with Nicole. She also asks that he not break her heart.

Rebecca is looking up Alzheimer’s on the computer and what she reads brings forth despondent tears as she covers her face with her hands. Fabian comes in and calls to her. When he sees her, he immediately asks if she is all right and she affirms she is – it is only her allergies. We, and he, are somewhat suspicious.

DEJAN Episode 35 Not All Prisons Have Four Walls Part 4 (Last)

Fedora, alone again, having learned nothing, opens the door to her glass house, roaming the halls with a can (mace? hairspray?). Ascending the stairs and entering her bedroom, she spies a bouquet of roses on the bed, the flower heads cut off. Shaking, she answers her ringing phone only to hear Gonzalo’s voice. As soon as he hears her crying, he states he will be right there! The fear of almost losing his life is in the recesses of his mind as he storms out, once again leaving work with no explanation. Lorena who obviously has not learned her lesson either, is determined to find out what is going on with Gonzalo.

Chela and Yuri look on in horror as they see the video of Azote being killed. Closer to the scene, Cholo is running for his life, out of breath and out of options. There is a montage of memories, Yuri gifting him with the book, a covert holding of hands, his beating, their gentle kiss.

Alicia pulls back from Martin, telling him she is just not ready. Martin who obviously does not understand the meaning of “no”, agrees to wait...for another couple of days. Next, Alicia gets the call from the director informing her that Miranda was reported to be using drugs.

The detective sees Karina and calls out but she ignores him. His wife calls in the interim but he hangs up on her as Alicia and Martin emerge from the house.

Once outside, Martin settles for gently kissing Alicia’s cheeks and then leaning in for a long, lingering sensual kiss on her lips.

Unfortunately, these intimate kisses have now been captured for posterity. It appears Sergio will soon have the ammunition he seeks.

And there we end.

I am smiling as of course I had absolutely no idea that the book Martin gifted to Alicia was an "anthology of Female Latin American actresses". I thank Rgv Chick for that informative detail and her kindness in providing so much critical dialog.

Are there any lessons being learned here? I fear not and these mistakes will eventually cost one or more of our characters dearly.

I look forward to reading everyone's comments tomorrow.

Thanks, Diana, for the excellent recap and the so fitting Janis Joplin quote. I hadn’t thought of her for a while.

Goofy Gonzo lucked out one more time with his cake excuse. I am ready for him and Fedora to get caught. I still cannot believe she would get involved with her FRIEND’S son.

Moisés deserved the slap and more for insinuating that Yuri was somehow in the know about Cholo’s escape and for his tantrum with the bonsai.

Too bad Azote got killed. I liked his character except for him forcing Cholo into an escape he didn’t want. How long until Cholo contacts Yuri? He should be headed north or south to a border but he probably won’t.

So many things are percolating!

I don't think there are any lessons to be learned here. The evil ones are winning for the moment and Moises is making my blood boil. Where does he get off with this display of violence and destruction?

Samuel needs to be in a facility for the criminally insane. At least Fedora doesn't have pets. Gonzalo's luck will run out soon on both fronts and my dinero says it will be both at once.

Jarifa, thanks so much! At this point, I am fervently hoping Gonzalo and Fedora are able to stay alive so they can be caught!! It's unfathomable Fedora is going back to the house that may end up being the scene of her death.

Gonzalo is ill prepared and ineffective to try and help her. He and his presence are only hurting her. Perhaps he might try putting in a full day at work? That is if he isn't already fired.

"Moisés deserved the slap and more...". Absolutely. He is vengeful and dishonest. I hope Yuri is able to prove he wanted to let an innocent man rot in jail.

I was initially upset Azote made Cholo join the break. But I do believe that Cholo was a marked man so in effect he saved his life.

This storyline remains intriguing and fresh. Great acting from the cast is another plus.

Totally agree Samuel is criminally insane and needs to be where he cannot hurt anyone.

Excellent comment that Fedora has no pets. To be honest, I'm equally worried about Karina who seems to be on the verge of obsession. Nelson is off limits and I heard he has a "no bunny boiler" clause in his contract.

I wonder if you are right that Azota ( poor guy..I liked him ) knew that Cholo was in danger in prison and that's why he tricked him into escaping . So now what will Cholo do ? I think that Yuri needs to team up with Martin and his dad to save him .

Moises is even worse than Serg because he is so violent .I don't think we have seen Serg being physically abusive except when he grabbed Jul. Moises has an anger management issue ..and doesn't like bonsai.

EVAddict is pathetic .

I don't think Alicia's makeover made a big change . She was always beautiful and elegant . The red top was a pop and a great compliment for her dark hair and eyes . My father in law used to say "I like red no matter what it hangs on."

I must say that too anyone in this world who can't take No for an answer seem to think that women aren't people.

SerJerk is also behaving as though his children are all younger than Miranda. I wonder so.etimes if he has gaslit himself into that notion. No normal parent would think that Gonzalo and Yuri would need the level of supervision he accuses Alicia of defaulting on. Even Miranda wouldn't need that.

I guess he doesn't want to face his own aging.

I completely believe Azote thought he was saving Cholo. We watched the other inmate listening in on their conversations so I don't see any reason to doubt Azote's intentions.

Alicia's makeover was minimal as you noted. I personally can't wear red but I love it on others.

TU AMOR ep 64 part 1

Valentina's situation has become worse as 4 police show up with guns drawn. Brian is becoming more excited and threatening to kill her. He's demanding 100,000 pesos ($5000) to give back Fatima. Please, you're hurting her, says Claudio. Claudio and Horacio work as a team. Horacio moves in and to the side distracting Brian for only a moment. In a flash, Claudio has Brian's arm and fights for the knife. Horacio pulls Valentina away and the police join the fray. Brian spews violent threats as he's dragged away but Fatima is OK.

Hector is unable to reach Patricia on his phone. He finally gets a call from her. She says she's OK and that the kidnappers have dropped her off in the street. She doesn't know where she is and she's afraid. He says he won't leave her alone and asks her to send him her address. She complies and then calls Leonardo. She tells him to bring Helena to an address that she'll send him. She guarantees it will be worth it.

Horacio and Consuelo bring Valentina back to the house. Connie leaves to make some tea and Horacio looks like he's still upset with Valentina. He turns to her when she tells him how much she loves him. He tells her he's sorry for the way he behaved when she left the house. She just wants to thank him because he's like a father to her. Connie beams when she sees them hugging. Val thanks her too for being like a mother. She gets a call from Nora and Horacio thinks it's too bad such a beautiful moment was interrupted.

At the police station, Aneliz tells Claudio that God will reward him for everything he's done. He says that helping people is enough of a reward. Doctor Rosa Maria calls reminding him of their appointment. Samara enters her office because the patient in bed 24 ... Rosa Maria doesn't seem to hear her. She goes on about how much she's been thinking about Claudio. He makes her feel understood. Safe.

Valentina and Nora are eating at a restaurant. They discuss Val's narrow escape and Claudio's brave actions. Nora asks her what she would do if she was Guillermo's daughter. Continue with my life, says Val, but I wouldn't refuse the opportunity to know don Guillermo. If you were his daughter you could have your own fashion house, Nora says. I will one day, Val replies, but not because someone gave it to me. Nora, you have possibilities. Finish school and accept the career your father wants to pay for. Imagine going to university. I want to continue my career as a model, Nora says. You could do both. Like don Guillermo, I think you should continue your studies. That's all I need, Nora replies. You taking my father's side and giving me a motivational speech.

Hector drives his cab to Patricia's location and she pretends to be upset. If I find those guys I swear I'm going to kill them, he promises. No Hector, she sobs. The only thing I need is a hug. This was my fault, says Hector. Don't say that, Pat replies, reaching behind his neck. All you've done is help me, accompany me, listen to me. The only thing that's important is that we're together and I'll be forever grateful to you. He grabs her wrists and pulls away as soon as she kisses him but Leo has positioned Helena nearby. Hector!, calls Helena, looking upset. Leonardo smirks at her side.

 

TU AMOR ep 64 part 2

Valentina calls Claudio and asks for his help in giving Nora a surprise. They go to a school to enroll Nora so she can continue with her studies. Val says she hopes her sister will like the surprise. Claudio thinks she will but has to go to an appointment with Rosa Maria. Val seems a little jealous but says if it's important to him then it's important to her too. She gives him a kiss.

The news is on when Camila gets home. It's about Helena's disastrous Press conference and the newscasters are not very flattering to Camila. She can't take it anymore and locks herself in her room. Consuelo tells Horacio that she's heading to Yolanda's to give her what she deserves and he shouldn't try to stop her because she's angry. He says he's not trying to stop her. He'll go with her. He can take her in the truck. He has to leave her though, because there's trouble at the market and they need him there.

Helena won't let Hector explain what is going on so he asks Patricia to tell her. I was assaulted, she claims, and Hector came to help me. Helena looks unconvinced.

The merchants tell Horacio that they're afraid and don't know what to do. Regino came back and is charging them for protection again. They looked for Crisato to tell him, but no one has seen him since yesterday. Horacio says he'll look for him and will also talk to Regino.

Consuelo forces her way into Yolanda's office as Beba tries to stop her. Now you're going to pay me Yolanda, Consuelo says. Dear Consuelo, says Yolanda turning from the office window, welcome to Olimpio Pratas. I'm very glad for your visit. Tell me dear. What is it that I'm going to pay you? Remind me because it's not fresh in my mind. You planned the damn video of my daughter, says Connie. Would it surprise you to know that I really didn't do it? But thanks for the credit. I know you, says Connie, and I know everything is your fault. My daughter is suffering a lot. You destroyed her career. Wow, bravo, bravo Consuelo. You could win an Oscar for best drama, Yolanda says clapping. What are you going to do? Are you going to try to hit me like last time? No, says Connie, knocking some things off of Yolanda's desk. Because there are things much worse. I'm fed up. You're dedicated to ruining the lives of everyone around you. That's why you're alone. That's why no one loves you. Oh, and whose are these?, she asks picking up some designs from Yolanda's desk. Why do you care if they're not yours?, she asks, tearing them into pieces. I'm sure you stole them from someone. Like me, like Estela, like the whole world. It's over Yolanda. Starting today I'm declaring war on you. And I swear I'm going to beat you again. Perfect, Yolanda replies. Because I don't plan to lose and I warn you that another of your children is next. Security! Take this woman from my office. And if you put even one foot here again I swear you're going to regret it. I dare you to do something to my children Yolanda, Connie says, walking away. Try me, Yolanda replies.

Valentina surprises Nora with the enrollment papers at Guillermo's house. Val says the school has accessible hours so Nora could continue with her modeling. Nora denies wanting to model and says she's dedicating herself to her father's business. When Guillermo leaves, Nora turns on Val. Are you stupid or what? I'm fed up. Go away. I only want what's best for you, says Val. Dad wanted you to finish school. He wanted, you wanted,.. You just spoiled all my dreams. Thanks. Do you know what it is to want something with all your soul and when you finally get it the person you love comes and snatches it from you? Nora goes out to the yard and tells herself that Valentina is going to find out. She's never going to be less than her sister again.

 

TU AMOR ep 64 part 3

I saw you kissing her, Helena tells Hector back in her apartment. She kissed me, he says. She was afraid. They assaulted her. You saw the wound. What are you hiding from me Hector?, Helena asks. It's your last opportunity to tell me the truth.

Nora looks terrified as Guillermo reads Enrique's report in his office. I hope with this you realize I've always been loyal, Enrique tells him. How did you get it?, Guillermo asks, looking at Nora. Starting today..., he says walking around the desk, You are officially Nora Vargas! He tells Enrique that he wants the Manrique ranch put in her name. You're the best dad in the world!, Nora says, giving Guillermo a hug. Meanwhile Leonardo is showing Patricia his zip lock bag with Valentina's hair. She says she is going to take it to the lab personally. Pat bribes the lab tech to get the results quickly. She'll have the results tomorrow but only with 99 percent accuracy.

Valentina believes that Nora is under someone's bad influence. She tells Claudio that she needs a way to get her away from Guillermo's house. Claudio says the only way that can happen is if Guillermo were to realize that Nora is not his daughter. Val flashes back to the photo of Maria Amparo in Horacio's album. She says Nora will continue to be Guillermo's daughter. It's unclear whether she's telling the truth.

Enrique continues to try to recruit Lizia for his schemes. When he hears about her sick mother he uses this to his advantage. How would you like to not have to worry about the cost of her care?, he asks.

At dinner, Adelaida asks Guillermo about his day. He thinks Nora should tell her. First, she is now Nora Vargas and second, her father is giving her the ranch. Adelaida is uncomfortable upon hearing about the ranch. She says that Patricia told Guillermo she wanted to get it back and would buy it from him. Nora doesn't care, and when she gets the ranch she won't ever let Patricia set one foot there. Resentment never did anybody any good, Adelaida says. I'm going to rest. Ricardo sees Adelaida leave and asks Nora what's wrong. She didn't take the news well that father is putting the ranch in my name.

“Val says she hopes her sister will like the surprise”. Valentina, have you MET Nora??? I realize Valentina is warm and caring and truly loves her sister, undeservedly so, but true nevertheless. And all Nora wants to do is destroy her sister’s happiness.

Our good characters just cannot catch a break. Perfect schemes and timing are with our villains. I’m not sure how Leo lured Helena to the spot where Patricia and Hector were but wasn’t she the least bit suspicious??

Unless he is building some sort of secret trust fund, I don’t believe Hector is much better off financially with Patricia. Hector needs to free himself or he and Helena will have no chance. I don’t blame her for being fed up at this point.

“Because I don't plan to lose and I warn you that another of your children is next”. Is she referring to Hector or Leo? Because of course foolish Leo doesn’t realized he is being used and his nefarious doings will surely be heralded to his unsuspecting family as Yolanda digs another grave. While Consuelo’s tongue lashing was mildly satisfying, far more ammunition is needed to defeat that gargoyle.

I believe Claudio told Rosie he was back with Valentina. She seemed disappointed but I wonder if that was enough cold water to dampen her ardor.

Poor Camila. Again, I’m thinking someone has to turn on Yolanda and Beba seems to be the one, improbable as it might seem now.

I hope she doesn't make an attempt at suicide--if so, I hope that turns Beba against Yolanda. as you note could happen, Diana. Oh good! The police arrive to help Claudio and Horacio save Val, and of course Brian swears revenge. Don't all the bd guys? Hector is awfully gullible. But if it had been a real kidnapping, maybe we'd be rid of Patricia. Sigh. I was glad Horacio apologized to Val. And Patricia is up to her old tricks with that kiss. You'd think Helena would be on to her by now and not blame Hector--but unfortunately she's too insecure for that. Good for Consuelo in finally confronting Yolanda. We'd been waiting for that, but unfortunately it may backfire. Nora is an ingrate as usual, but given her career aspirations it might be a good thing for her if she turned out not to be Guillermo's daughter. And if the DNA test comes back negative, will Patricia and Enrique tell Guillermo or use the info to blackmail Nora? Oh the suspense!

Patty and Enrique may very well blackmail Nora if the DNA test comes back negative. To be honest, I'm not sure how I feel. Guillermo deserves Nora. Helena does not. I think Valentina is the rightful heir. Nora's fate rests on how much lower she is willing to go. She has not shown any redeeming qualities but the size of Valentina's heart is vast and forgiving.

"Ingrate" is the perfect word for Nora. Gracias.

But...you and me…. tell me we're okay, Nare. Nare replies, there is something more important. Sancar agrees, it's true, there is something more important, and he gives the death stare to Gediz. Sancar makes his way towards Gediz, you didn't listen to me the other day. Sancar grabs him by the collar and shouts, I made it very clear to you that, if you ever got close to Nare again, I was going to kill you! He slugs Gediz--leave us alone and get out of here!

Everyone rushes to break up the fight. Gediz shouts back, kill me, Sancar, do it now! Nare begs, please don't fight, Sancar. I only was talking about the company. Gediz gets his hits in, too.

Halise, Elvan, Muge and Refika arrive at the olive grove. Halise starts screaming for the guys to stop. Enough! Don’t do this! When will you stop? When I'm dead? The fight pauses, the combatants look over at Halise and she faints. Sancar, Zehra and Kavruk rush to help her.

Things have calmed down and everyone is back in the office. Halise gathers herself up and asks Zehra, explain this to me, what happened to this great company? Then to Gediz, how did you bankrupt it? Zehra answers, he signed checks to various companies, for amounts that exceeded the budget. They took everything from us. Sancar remains quiet but he’s got something up his sleeve.

Halise is shaken and asks, that means that ...that now we will be poor? Eyes turn to Gediz. Refika is disappointed in her son. Halise asks, the mansion too? Muge asks her brother, what did you do? You have ruined them.

Sancar finally speaks, no, Muge, it isn’t so. Your brother created fake companies in his name and signed those checks that we had to pay, so that money would go straight to his pocket. Sancar adds, although he is going to prison now.

Elvan asks, he’s going to go to prison? Refika asks Sancar, what do you mean? Why are you saying my son will go to prison? Sancar responds glaring at Gediz, [Turkish] because the peasant’s son is always one step ahead of his brother Gediz.

Sancar reveals his cards, the actual checks that Gediz wrote. He tells Gediz for months I took some of them. He explains to the group, they are not real. He says to Gediz, you got angry when you knew that we would get married and that's why you signed the checks, but you know what? The ones you signed for the company and the personal checks are fake.

Gediz gulps and asks, what did you do? Sancar replies, the accountants work for me, they changed the bank checks for the fake ones. While you were silent, we still made the payments. Gediz asks, how long have I been writing bad checks? Sancar responds, since I stopped trusting you. We get the flashback to the day the friendship ended and the enmity started with a handshake.

Gediz [Turkish] I have to give you your due, your enmity turned out to be more effective than the partnership. With those you will send me to prison, won't you? Sancar counts it out. It's two years in prison for every one of the bad checks you signed and three more years for fraud, five total. Now let's add, 5,10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35. Sancar holds up the last one and Elvan calls out, 40. Gediz wipes his eye and sniffs.

Refika sobs, Sancar, you're not going to send my son to prison, are you? Sancar answers her, and why wouldn't I? If I hadn't changed those checks, the company goes bankrupt and he gets the mansion. Who's going to stop me?

Gediz tells Sancar, I’m listening, tell me your conditions, what should I do? Sancar looks at Nare, then answers Gediz, to begin, you will stay away from Nare. If you see her, you will move away from there. And then? Sancar says, you will sell me your shares and get out.

Embajador S2 #42 part 2

Refika gasps, Sancar… Sancar says, Aunt Refika, I told you that we should split the company and you didn't want to listen to me, so now this is how we will do it, okay? Gediz quickly says, I accept. Anything else? Sancar says no. But Nare speaks up, I have something else. She gathers the checks off of the table and signals for Gediz and Sancar to step outside with her.

Gediz asks her, will you tell me what it is? Nare looks him in the eyes and states, you will stop looking for Akin’s corpse. She takes Sancar’s hand for effect and adds, If Sancar goes to prison, you will too. [ha, Sancar looks like what the hell is happening here.]

Gediz gets a call, he looks, it’s Sahra. Obviously, he can’t take it and puts it back in his pocket. Cut to Sahra texting him from Feride’s: “come to this address.”

Gediz asks Nare, what if the police or someone else finds it? Nare answers, pray that this does not happen. Listen well, Gediz, if something happens to Sancar, the only person responsible will be you. If Sancar sinks, you will sink too, okay?

Sancar is smiling at his beloved and gives a victory smirk to Gediz. Gediz sighs. There’s nothing else he can do or say and he leaves.

Sancar is thrilled, [Turkish for the rest of the scene] what did you just do, Nare Efe? Nare Efe is not so pleased with herself or the situation. She answers Sancar, she spoke the language that you speak. But I hate to speak this language. I hate your idiotic “kan parası” (blood money), too. I also hate your justice system, which you yourself implement! I hate your unfortunate honor! I hate everything that continues to happen! I hate that I buried a corpse!

She turns to go and he grabs her. Let me go, she says, I just want to go home, I’m going to feel better in a civilized place where I can find some peace.

To make matters worse, Halise comes running out, Nare! Daughter, since we have overcome this... I suggest we do the henna night tomorrow, okay? So that everyone knows that our family and the mansion are still standing. The look on Nare’s face is priceless, a smile that says you’ve got to be eff’ing kidding me. She leaves without saying a word.

Feride is leading Gulsiye somewhere. Feride tells her, I have to go Menekse. Gulsiye is exasperated, seriously, again? Feride answers, yes again, that baby may be sick or even dead. Gulsiye asks why, just because Menekse has thin ankles? Feride says, I had a dream. Gulsiye gasps, don't say that, your dreams always come true. Feride says she feels nervous and has nightmares. We have to go quickly to see to Menekse.

Sancar and Elvan arrive at Nare’s. He looks nervous and Elvan laughs. They get out of the car and head for the door. Sancar is dressed better than usual. He fixes his jacket, fiddles with the sleeves. Elvan says his shirt is wrinkled and he says that’s why he’s wearing the jacket.

Elvan knocks on the door, gives a quick little, please, may everything go very well and spits to ward off the evil eye. Nare opens the door and is surprised. Sancar motions for Elvan to go inside. He asks Nare, do you want to go to dinner with me? We can speak like civilized adults, ah? She nods. He will wait. Sancar’s feeling hopeful again.

Gediz shows up at Feride’s place. He gets out of his car and looks around. Sahra is sitting next to a big hole in the ground, staring and crying. She has found Akin. [wow she dug that by herself!] Gediz asks, are you okay? Sahra sobs, Sancar killed him. Nare buried him. They buried my brother like a dog, Gediz. [she should know her brother didn’t even deserve a dog’s burial]

She tells Gediz, I'm going to leave them on the street. I will take away everything that belongs to them. I'm left alone now because of him so they will be, too. They will be alone for the rest of their lives. Sahra gets up and takes out her phone. Gediz is looking mighty worried.

Embajador S2 #42 part 3

Gediz says, calm down, what are you doing? Calling the police. Gediz grabs the phone, wait, don't do it yet. Sahra wants her phone back; she grabs for it. Gediz tells her, Sancar can't go to jail. [lol] Sahra questions, what the hell are you talking about?

Desperate Gediz tries to buy some time with an idea. It would be better at their wedding, right? Imagine that day. Nare dressed as a bride and Sancar going to prison. That’s more painful, right? Just when they thought they got rid of Akin and that nothing would prevent them from getting married, you will ruin their wedding.

You waited so long, he says, just a little bit longer, huh? Have patience. Think of the police coming right on the big day, hmm? Sahra’s coming around to the idea. She says…. before they say I do. Gediz tells her, they are going to say goodbye instead of getting married. Sahra nods. Gediz hands her phone back and says, I’ll take care of it. He picks up the shovel and starts to cover the body.

What Gediz and Sahra don’t know is Kman has been lurking in the bushes, nearby. He is on the phone to his eyes and ears, Dudu. Wow, Gediz wrote bad checks. Dudu confirmed this through Yahya. Kman tells her, you will be a daughter in the mansion. You are a very lucky girl. Dudu informs him there is a mansion, but there is no husband for now because Elvan won’t divorce Yahya.

Kman surveys the situation and tells Dudu, calm down. Tomorrow will be another day just wait. Everything will be better. He hangs up with Dudu and says to himself, look at that, Gediz found the corpse he wanted, and then ...he’s burying it.

Yahya pays a visit to Elvan. He asks her, what do you think what are you doing? What am I doing, she replies. He says, enough games. You asked for a divorce and now you regret it. Elvan says, I think I'm very confused. Wasn't it you who begged me on your knees to forgive? Didn't you insist? Is your memory failing? Yahya says he’s not in the mood for nonsense. He accuses her of using him as a toy. He says, I thought about my future and you didn't even show up in court.

Elvan asks, you thought about your future? Yes. Elvan cracks, better use some binoculars, Yahya, because, I don't see a good future for you at all. Yahya asks for an explanation and Elvan shouts at him, you are trash! A damn coward! You only know how to do what others ask of you! Learn to be a man! [sing it sister!] You feel ashamed for having cheated on me and now you are ready to divorce me! Why so urgent to divorce? Who gave you that idea? It didn't occur to you, did it? Who sent you? Dudu? Elvan laughs, she doesn’t need to hear the answer. She throws Yahya out.

Gulsiye and Feride show up at Meanie’s house. The guard tells them they can’t enter, Sancar’s orders, he will be angry. Feride says that doesn’t matter to her. She waves her cane and says, now move, let's go.

Zehra and Kavruk have another awkward encounter outside the mansion gate with Halise watching carefully.

Word gets back to the mansion that Feride and Gulsiye are at Meanie’s. Kavruk instructs the guard to keep an eye on them, don't let them go and he’s on his way. Halise asks what happened and he tells them.

Necdet answers the door and is happy to see his cookie, you came to see me? Gulsiye responds, your face makes me so nauseous, do you really think that I came here just to see you? Feride quickly pushes her way in, let us pass, move, silly, do not get in the way.

Atike is clearing some dishes off the table. She is surprised, Aunt Feride, what are you doing here? It's so late. Ceylan peeks out from the other room. Atike signals go back. Feride replies, I came to see how the baby is. Atike tells Feride to leave her house. Go away!

Embajador S2 #42 part 4

Atike asks Gulsiye, why did you bring this woman here, she is senile. Gulsiye warns Atike to watch her words, you are the only old and senile one. Necdet urges Gulsiye to be nice to her future MIL. Gulsiye then asks Atike, did you drop your son headfirst when he was little? Because he's a complete idiot. Atike retorts, you will never find someone like my son [that’s true, thank goodness], get out of here.

Feride is resolute, I'm not going to go until I know that Sancar's baby is okay. Atike is alarmed and Ceylan is now listening from the stairs and starts to panic. If you don't bring your daughter now, I’ll wait all night. I won’t move from here. You can call the police if you want, but I'm not leaving, do you understand me?

Ceylan hurries into Meanie’s room, Menekse, we are finished. Mrs. Feride has just arrived at the house and says that ... she wants to see if Sancar’s baby is okay, what are we going to do? Menekse dials her phone.

Meanwhile, Sancar and Nare arrive at the restaurant. He tells her to wait and gets out to open the car door for her. Nare walks towards the restaurant and Sancar gets the call from Menekse. He quickly shuts the phone and tosses it on the car seat. [smart move, Efem] Meanie throws her phone. She will have to come up with something else.

Sancar catches up to Nare before they walk into the restaurant. He asks, is something wrong? Nare replies, will never be normal, right? [right!] We have a daughter and it's the first time we've had dinner together. Sancar tells her this was his dream since he was little. She asks, did you want to take me to dinner, Sancar? Yes, I could hardly invite you for a tea, forget about dinner. He takes her hand and they enter.

Nare asks, did Sancar Efe reserve the whole restaurant, because the peasant’s son could not even buy me a tea? Sancar replies, no, Sancar Efe did not do such a thing. You will know very soon. They greet the server. Sancar helps Nare with her coat. He takes her hand and tells her, you look very beautiful. How kind you are, she replies.

He pulls out the chair for her. Nare laughs, this can't be. What, Sancar asks? I’m being civilized, can't you see the civilized table, with a candle and the most civilized flowers that exist… and before you, he extends his hand and she takes it, ...a courteous man. Nare laughs again, the one who booked the whole restaurant, right? She asks, excuse me, gentleman, but what have you done with my man?

Sancar answers, I decided that it is better to leave Sancar Efe for a moment and see what happens. Nare says she understands. But I don't want to leave my Sancar Efe. Sancar asks why, don't you like this man? It feels good to be like this. Nare explains, of course I like him. Besides, I can't deny he is very handsome, although ... she hesitates…Sancar picks it up, you are trying to say that ... you want them both? Exactly, she answers. They laugh.

Their dinner is served. Sancar says, let's talk. we are in confidence here. I know, you're upset with Sancar Efe. Unburden yourself all you want, that will help.

Nare tells him, I'm not mad at the man you are, but with the man you force yourself to be. Sancar doesn’t understand. Nare tries to explain, you know that I have traveled all over the world, I got to know different cultures, languages, religions, traditions, everything. I love all cultures, however the culture of my land, of my home, is the one that I love the most. [could have fooled me…]

She continues, if not for Elvan’s divorce, I could have had my bridal bath and my dowry. Sancar laughs, you wouldn't have stopped dancing all night, right? Yes, all night long. Nare goes on, I'd like to have a great henna night. And do you know, Sancar? My dream is to enter the Efeoglu mansion mounted on Gece, dressed as a bride. I love being Nare Efe.
Sancar, my problem is not the traditions, but about your bloody culture, your way of seeing honor. Getting rid of Elvan, because she can't have children. I can’t understand it.

Sancar says, you can’t divide this new civilized Sancar and Sancar Efe, do you understand? Or do you think it is possible? Nare answers, of course it is possible. Just because Elvan can’t have children, you shouldn't have married another woman whom you did not love. The law could give Akin his punishment, not you. Those absurd things that happened today with Gediz they could have been avoided. You could have regretted the death of a man, not caring about the honor of your ex-wife. A father did not have to dig his son's grave with a wad of bills while the killer is free.

Sancar considers Nare’s words and she takes a breath. She picks up, I can’t accept that you worry about Menekse. You don't do it because she's a human being, you don't care about her life either, you only do it to protect her, and above all, your honor; that is wrong. I understand you were married, but that is over, the only thing that unites you now is your son and nothing more. Menekse’s honor is up to her and not my husband, okay? I will not tolerate this anymore. Sancar is affected. [But I’ll give him credit he’s quietly listening.]

It’s Sancar’s turn. They told me that the ambassador's daughter was not the same as the son of a peasant. Don’t dare dream of it. She's a millionaire and I'm poor, I could only give her a seashell, a tea would be the best. Nare says, but I fell in love with the peasant's son and that was the most delicious tea I've had in all my existence. Sancar says he said that to himself—I managed to see how you laughed with me, it was only me that I saw in your eyes. I knew that nothing was going to separate us, but in the end, it happened. Nare tells Sancar to forget it, that is behind us. Sancar asks, you want me to forget it? We speak as civilized adults; can’t men say what they feel? What about equality? She smiles at him. I'll ask you a question, he says, nine years ago ... if I was not wrong and if there were no problems with the family, I wouldn't have married again. Without blood money ... what would have happened? Nare replies, we would have been happy, without suffering. Sancar thinks not and says, we would have had the same fight, but for different reasons.

He continues, we are still the ambassador's daughter and son of a peasant, we are the alaca kuş and its efe, the moment of the fight arrived. Once you told me that nothing would separate us. I'd rather die than to be away from you, he tells her. My heart is here, he places his hand there, not even a sultan will be able to get you out of it. If you don't understand me ... then you don't need a third person to separate us. Nare, don't let that happen, I don't want to be separated from you.

Nare asks, do you want me to get used to your way of being? Sancar answers, I don't want you to give up on me. Nare assures him, I will not give up, if necessary, I will accept what you are and I will not allow malicious people separate us again. Sancar has another question—we're getting married? We set the date.

Nare answers, we will get married and I also have a question for you. Ok, Sancar’s ready. [Turkish] Will you let me burn or “will you learn to not to burn me?” [that’s the title of this episode, “Beni Yakmamayı Öğrenecek Misin?”]

Before Sancar can answer, Nare’s phone rings. It says "incoming call", but Sancar recognizes the number and tells Nare, Menekse is calling you... Uh, oh….

And we are out.

Dondi I continue to be amazed at the detailed recaps you are providing for us. I am so appreciative . I would be lost without your recaps and explanations and would only have the visuals and understanding of a few Spanish words to rely on to understand what is happening . For example,I figured out that San had outfoxed the smirking Gediz and that it had something to do with the checks.

Go, Feride, go. She is determined to check out Meanie. Will she get a chance to pinch that pillowbaby ? I doubt it , but I would love it. Unfortunately , she gave up pesting San about the grave,and now Sahra found it and Kman and Gediz know too.

I was amazed that Nare was standing up to Gediz to protect San.

So...when San went acourting that jacket looked very small and tight on him . Did he grab one of Elvan's jacket by mistake ?

Thanks, Dondi. I am totally riveted catching up with your recaps. Cabbage Patch Kid, hahaha! Of all the crazy stuff that has happened, Sahra digging up Atike's grave is the biggest beanie moment for me.

You go, Feride! Menenske, the truth will get pulled right out of you. Can't wait.

Necdet makes me laugh hitting on Gulsiye. That fool.

Love that Sancar and Nare are talking honestly about things. Dondi, my head turned too when Nare said she loved the Turkish culture. Could've fooled me.

That dinner scene was one of the best in the whole series. Finally, some real communication, with no shouting, no crying. I have to say they both looked fantastic in black. Yes, Susanlynn, Sancar’s jacket could have fit better, but I’m always distracted by Engin’s eyes and smile. And of course, Nare was wearing boots.

Do you think Nare was also trying to cover her own tracks when she placed that condition on Gediz? She's the one who wanted to bury Akin. I still think that was a mistake.

I also enjoyed Elvan unloading on Yahya.

Niecie, Necdet and Gulsiye are hilarious together and unfortunately, a lot of their scenes have been cut.

SI NOS DEJAN #36 Part 1

1. Alicia and Martín joke, flirt and kiss on the sidewalk in front of his place. She has to go to Miranda'a school. Robles, the detective Sergio hired, catches the smooching with his camera.

2. The quick and efficient Robles calls Sergio and says he has some good news to tell him in person and some material he is really going to be interested in. Sergio sends him the address and tells Julieta to get him whiskey. Nope, that hat is not happening because she isn't a slave like Alicia.

3. Karina comes over to Martín's. She comments the at least she didn't interrupt that lady's visit. Martín tells her to drop that topic. She turns on the TV so they can watch Mujica's report. Cholo is watching the same report out on the street. Mujic says they are making sure none of the fugitives can leave the city. They have captured two fugitives one of which was shot in the process. They are concerned about a particularly dangerous fugitive called El Cholo who planned the escape. He was in the jail awaiting trial for the murder of the son of one of their most important police officers on the force. He tells Cholo that it would be best to give himself up and cooperate.

4. Yuri and her friend Chela are watching the same report. Yuri thinks it is so unfair. Yuri wishes she could contact Cholo. Chela looks at her like she is nuts and reminds her what Moisés said. They are going to be watching her and she could end up involved in it all.

5. Moisés is in bed again with Greta the wedding planner. He was watching the report. He is still fuming and tells her to go on and plan the wedding because it is going to happen. She reminds him that the down payment is not refundable no mater what the situation is.

6. Gonzo goes to see Fedora unaware that Lorena is following him. Fedora wonders why he came. Everything is fine. She shows him the chopped roses and says that they freaked her out like they were a death threat. Lorena finds a spot next to a sliding door where she can watch and listen in. He doesn't get why she is still playing games with Samuel. She says it is really easy to solve other peoples' problems when you are on the outside looking in. He just doesn't want to go to her funeral. Fedora recognizes she was only an infatuation for Gonzo and he will get over it. She decides they will have a pact: she will deal with Samuel and he will go out and find the great love he so deserves. Gonzo agrees and kisses her hand..

7. Alicia visits the principal and angrily wonders why she is there when the student who accused Miranda of being drug user now is the same one who has been harassing her all along. Miranda has told her that that girl has not stopped bothering her and all her daughter is dong is defending herself. The principal reminds her of Miranda's violent outbursts. It is a very sensitive situation. Alicia wonders if it is the drugs or the bullying her daughter has had to put up with that is "sensitive". Miranda is a victim. The principal complains Miranda is too impulsive. Alicia says no worries she will take control of Miranda's situation and advises the principal to get control of he school.

8. Miranda's overjoyed and tells Beni her fish all about the kiss.


 

DEJAN Part #2

9. The gamers are playing when Nicole and a friend stop by. Nicole asks Culebra what is up. He didn't wait for her. He is acting weird. Is he breaking with her. He is sick of her deciding which person is good, bad, strange or even a drug user. He is upset she accused Miranda of using drugs. She can't just go around doing that kind stuff. She insists she is telling the truth. He asks if she has proof. He has had enough of her and leaves. She asks another guy Hueso if he can get something for her.

10. Gonzo doesn't want to go back being Fedora's best friend's son. Fedora tells Gonzo that is how it has to be because her friendship with Alicia is more important to her that any man including him. He agrees to go. She agrees to remove Samuel the savage from her life. She asks about Lorena. Gonzo talks about how special she is. Fedora tells him not to lose her. They hug, she kisses him on the cheek and he finally leaves.

11. Robles shows Sergio's the photos which he had printed up for him. Sergio looks physically ill.

12. Sofía and Carlota end up at Facundo and Maruja's house. Maruja tells Carlota that she has heard that Martín is seeing a woman old enough to be his mother. Maruja wants Carlota back with Martín. She tells Carlota to fight for her marriage.

13. Karina starts to badmouth Alicia at Martín's. He tells her to stay out of his business. He thanks her for the info on Cholo but he is not going to allow her to disrespect him in his own home. He tells her to leave. She tells him he is a different man. She doesn't know if somebody gave him "toloache" (an hallucinogenic plant) or put a spell on him but she hopes he comes out of whatever it is before it is too late.

14. Miranda is happily eating in the kitchen with Yaya and Eva. Alicia comes in and tells Miranda that now the principal is accusing her of using drugs. Miranda is upset because she thinks her mother has believed what he principal said. Eva sticks her nose in and tells her to be respectful. Eva goes on and on about Miranda's problems at school. Miranda says it isn't her fault that she is hated so much. Yuri comes in and says Miranda keeps doing one crazy thing after another. Then there's that Culebra guy. That name makes him sound like a drug dealer. Miranda smashes a glass at Yuri's feet telling her not to start criticizing Culebra. Alicia sends Miranda to her room. Miranda cannot believe that they are believing the principal and Nicole. Eva tells Alicia it ia all her fault.

15. Alicia follows Miranda to her room. Alicia tells her she has to control herself. She could've hurt her sister with that glass. Miranda asks if she realizes that everyone's against her. Alicia is just concerned about her reactions and her attitude. Miranda declares she has never taken drugs. She asks how is she supposed to behave when the person she loves the most (Alicia) doesn't trust her.

16. Julieta gives Sergio her opinions on the photos. it turns to that Alicia has a lover and it is Martín who is handsome. Sergio tells her to bring him another whiskey and his high blood pressure meds. Julieta thinks that this proves that Martín was the one who old the press about the divorce so he could be with Alicia. She tells Sergio he has to calm down.He needs a cool head. She picks ups photo and says everyone needs to know about this. Sergio doesn't like the idea of being someone who was cheated on. Julieta goes for his pills.

17. Gonzo tells his friend Suso about saying goodbye to Fedora. He now realizes that he was being just like his father who he doesn't want to be like at all. He has to fix things with Lorena and he will have to tell her about Fedora. He knows it would be a pity if he were to lose Lorena.

 

DEJAN Part #3

18. Yuri gets call from Cholo on a public phone. He tells her he never planned the escape. She knows that but now the police are making him the one who planned it all. Yuri says they have to find way for him to turn himself in without putting himself at risk. He turns down any help from her. He was just calling to tell her he appreciated all she did for him and that he loves her. That makes Yuri smile.

19. Gonzo goes to see Lorena with a bouquet of flowers. She is angry. She is allergic to flowers. Gonzo says he wants to come clean with her. His life has been filled with lies. She asks if he is going to confess to being lovers with his mother's friend. She knows because she saw them kissing at her house. Gonzo insists it was not love with Fedora. He was dazzled by her ever since he was a kid but now that is all over. He wants another chance. Lorena is the most important thing that has happened to him in his life. Lorena thanks him for the confession and says he knows where the door is.

20. Sergio take his pill. Sergio cannot believe another man kissing his "woman". Julieta says she thought that she was his "woman." Sergio says she knows what he mean. He wonders why Martín fell in love with stupid Alicia. He thinks it must be to blackmail her and hurt him. Julieta wonders if Alicia went after Martín. She thinks Martín must have a problem because he likes old ladies. Anyway, Sergio cheated on Alicia for threee years. Sergio says that isn't the same. She asks if he is going to let Alicia and Martín be happy together.

21. Sergio picks up the phone and calls Eva. He will be stopping by tomorrow to have breakfast with everyone. It will be a surprise. After he hangs up, He tells Julieta that he is going to make Alicia sorry for what she did to him.

22. Alicia gets a late night call from Martín. He asks how things went with Miranda. She tells him. He advises her to go with her gut and trust her daughter and give her the benefit of the doubt. The flirt some more.

23. After they hang up, Alicia thinks back on their kisses and assesses herself mirror.

26. Carlota thinks about what Maurja said about fighting for Martín. Martín comes by for Sofía saying her carriage awaits her. Carlota criticizes him for filling Sofía's head with fairy tales. He says imagination isn't a crime. Carlota says but lies are. Telling girls those kind of tales makes them end upon her office 20 years later wondering why they cannot trust men. He asks what he did. Carlota answers the usual, disappoint her.

27. Gonzo is ready to leave but Eva says they are going to have a family breakfast all together.

28. Alicia keeps running with Yuri.

29. Cholo is sleeping on the street when he is awakened by a nudge from a police boot.

30. Everyone is at the breakfast table. Much to everyone's surprise, Sergio arrives. His daughters are so happy see him, Gonzo and Alicia not so much. Sergio says he is doing very badly. He accepted being the bad guy, the guy who cheated on his wife, leaving home, public scorn but that is all over. He has had it. He tells Alicia that life is an act of justice. Even though it hurts him a lot, he is doing what has to be done. He passes out white envelopes to everyone. They deserve to know the whole truth. Inside the envelopes is an assortment of photos that the detective took. Gonzo asks Alicia what is going on. Sergio answers for her telling them all that he would like introduce them to their mother; the one beyond reproach, the always perfect Alicia Carranza who has a lover young enough to be her son.

So…we don’t know what the immediate aftermath will be. I am hoping beyond hope that Alicia imperiously arises from the table and says that Sergio made his choice and she is going on with her life. She and Martin ARE more than friends but she owes them no explanation.

That said, I’m very conflicted. “Maruja wants Carlota back with Martín. She tells Carlota to fight for her marriage”. I must admit I really like Carlota and not having seen any of their conflict, would be fine if that occurred. But Martin is hell bent in creating his own fairy tale with his dogged, relentless in his quest of Alicia.

“He is still fuming and tells her to go on and plan the wedding because it is going to happen”. And however is Moises going to bend Yuri’s will to make THAT happen? Is he planning on finding Cholo and blackmailing her into marriage in order to save him?? Pure speculation but.

“She can't just go around doing that kind stuff”. Cholo’s admonition to Nicole was lukewarm at best. His declaration that he is with Miranda should be crystal clear. He continues to disappoint. As does Miranda who continues to act like a wild child. Alicia is right she is going to hurt someone with her violent outbursts.

Gonzalo and Lorena just don't seem to be a good match. I am not feeling the love.

At least Gonzalo and Fedora were able to say their goodbyes without Samuel showing up which I thought would happen at any moment!

“Sergio tells her to bring him another whiskey and his high blood pressure meds”. Perfect.

Best moment of the night – Yuri’s joyful smile after Cholo said he loved her.

Diana, I so hope that Alicia follows your suggestion and does not allow any of them to attack or try to shame her when Sergio is guilty of a three year affair. I agree that she owes nobody an explanation. Please no tears! Rather tell him and Eva to go to hell and stay there. Maybe Eva can move in with Sergio and Julieta. Eva acts more like Sergio’s mother anyway. As for Miranda, I agree that she cannot be physically violent but she should not to have had gone through Alicia’s almost accusatory approach to the allegation from the start as well as the immediate judgment of Eva and Yuri. Alicia should have discussed the accusation with her in private. As for Culebra, ITA he is still trying to have it both ways, still a snake. At least Gonzo realized he was being like Sergio. No chemistry with Lorena though I agree. Whiskey and meds! Sergio has very dangerous tastes. Maybe he will have a bad reaction.

And you are right - Alicia should have spoken with Miranda in private. Of course Eva, who takes every opportunity to add her unwarranted and unwanted opinion spoke up but Yuri could also be a bet more understanding...I wish Miranda had seen her mother defending her at school, behavior that was not echoed at home. Culebra is not the staunch supporter she needs now. I do believe something evil is simmering thanks to the nefarious Nicole so I suspect Miranda's trouble is far from over.

Jarifa, thank for such a wonderful recap of all the crazy, frustrating events. And a belated thank you to Diana for her ever-outstanding recap which I marveled at.

You and Diana have already highlighted all the lows and the one bright moment of the entire episode--Yuri's smile when Cholo told her he loved her.

I was so disappointed with Alicia. First she allows Martin to kiss her out where everyone can see her, then she goes and berates Miranda after she so boldly defended her at the school. I could not believe she did that! Though Miranda does have a temper and acts like a wild child, she really needed her mother's support at this moment.

I'm not sure how Alicia is going to react, but I don't think she'll get weepy. I wanted to throw something at SerJerk when he said that her lover was young enough to be her son. Look in the mirror idiot, Juliet could be your daughter! I just hope he doesn't use this as a means to keep Alicia "under control" and to blackmail his way back into the house...hmmmm though that would really set Julieta off!

I was so afraid that Julieta would secretly take a pic of the photo so she could pass them on to Lalo, the reporter! I suppose tha possibility still exists since SerJerk made so many copies.

I was also disappointed with Martin. He had already caught a glimpse of the PI and he did look around after Alicia left, yet he didn't spot the car he had already seen previously.

Diana, "I do believe something evil is simmering thanks to the nefarious Nicole so I suspect Miranda's trouble is far from over." From what we saw last night (Nicole asking Hueso to help her get something), I fear Jarifa is right...the conniving little beyotch is going to frame Miranda...probably plant drugs on Miranda or in something that belongs to her.

These storylines of younger men being attracted to older women and older men (Sergio and Moises) being so entitled, egotistical , and controlling makes me wonder if the writers are women .

Sergio continues to sink lower and lower as his fragile ego gets hit by discovering that "his" woman is desired by a handsone, younger man. I had a good laugh when Jul commented that Martin was handsome .That comment cut Sergio . Ha.

Taking meds with alcohol ..another sign that Serg thinks of himself as all powerful and indestructible .

Evaddict is doing everything she can (harping nonstop to anyone within hearing distance ) to keep getting money from Serg to fund her casino visits ....awful , selfish, pathetic person.

Uh oh , after Karina's visit , Martin's mother has decided she wants him back with Carlota. Martin and Alicia have an uphill battle.

Why is Moises so obsessed with Yuri? Pride ? Delusion ? Sergio?

Did Nicole whisper in that guy's ear asking for drugs to plant on Miranda?

I'm frantically trying to recall all of last night's events...

We now know (definitively?) that Valentina is the rightful heir. Patricia threatened Valentina but I'm not quite sure what was said.

More pain for poor Helena with another impending tidalwave of which she is unaware.

The once scene that stayed with me (surprisingly) was Ricardo and Camila. She was so sweet, earnest and sincere...I felt he could easily fall in love with her if it were not for his obsesssion (emotional and financial) to Valentina. Is redemption possible? I kept thinking that the love of a good woman has saved more than one rather wretched soul.

At this point I’m just disgusted by Sergio’s machismo and hypocrisy!!!! I can’t believe it!!! So he gets to fool around in his marriage and expects Alicia to just sit back and take it?!!! I am beyond livid at this point. I can’t wait for his family to find out about his big dark secret of a son called Lucas...that will be the icing on his shameful cake. He and Moises are the same...prideful egotistical chauvinistic idiots who think the sun rises and sets on their behinds. I am done with those two...ugh I’ve never been this angry at a character before...worse thing about this is that it’s a real life situation...men like Sergio and Moises actually do exist and don’t even get me started on Samuel...that’s it I’m done for now. Val has now been framed for Ricardo's embezzlement (though somewhat unwittingly on his part--he thought he would have time to get the funds out of the bank), and Nora for Enrique's and Patricia's. Unfortunately, I think a lot of episodes will pass before Enrique and Pat get what's coming to them. Yep, SusanLynn, it looks as if Leo might keep trying to do something to abort Majo's baby. Could he be any more despicable? Hector and Helena kissed, but then Helena rejected him again. So insecure! Diana, I too hope Camila "saves" Ricardo, and that he saves Val from going to jail.

RgvChick, I, too, thought that Martín might have spotted the car with Robles again but no such luck. Interesting possibility for Julieta to take the photos and send them over to her contact to publish them. No way to trace them back to her.

Incoming!

Nare hands the phone to Sancar, here, I'll leave for a moment. Sancar takes it, why did you call Nare? Meanie answers, because I knew I would find you with her. Your aunt came to my house and she won't leave until she checks me. That woman cannot touch me, Sancar. Meanie demands that Sancar come immediately and take Feride away or she will call the police. She hangs up before Sancar even has a chance to speak.

Nare is out on the grounds. Sancar appears behind her holding her coat and purse [and looks like a big jerk]. He tells her, Feride went to Menekse's house. For what? Sancar replies, she insists on looking at the baby, and when she gets an idea, nothing stops her. They will call the police if I don't come for her, and they will make a scene. Only I can get her out of that place [Why is that? Hey, Feride was willing to get arrested. That would have been fun to see.]

Sancar asks if he can take Nare home. She grabs her stuff and responds, don't worry, I'll go by taxi, you go pick up your aunt at your ex-wife's house. She walks away. Sancar catches up to her outside. She tells him to leave her alone. Why do you have to be so jealous, he asks? He grabs her arm and stops her from getting in the taxi. I told you to leave me, she says. Nare, don't be ridiculous, he pleads. She asks, will you let me go? He does, she gets in the taxi and it drives away. Sancar shouts, damn it! why are you like this, Nare? Why? [who wants to answer?]

Meanwhile, Gediz has reinterred Akin, with teary Sahra crying graveside. She gets a call and shows Gediz the phone—it’s Sancar. She answers and he asks, where are you? At work. I need your help, he says. She agrees. We don’t hear what he asks but she answers, understood. We see Kman still lurking in the bushes.

Kavruk arrives at Meanie’s and tries to get Feride to leave. She refuses. It goes back and forth and Kavruk gets fed up. He lifts her off the couch and says, I don’t care if I have to carry you on my shoulders in order to get you out of the house.

Feride is still insisting to see Meanie, when she spots the glass of chickpeas on the counter. Ah ...is that what I’m thinking, she asks? Feride takes the glass, look at this. Atike worries, no, no. Feride accuses Atike, did you really go to that fake sorcerer? Gulsiye immediately starts praying, may heaven protect us from the ills of these people.

Atike explains it’s not witchcraft. She’s using that for cooking. Feride calls her out on her lie and says, you committed a great sin. She takes a handful and rushes Atike. Feride grabs her and shoves the chickpeas into her mouth. Take it! Eat it! Open your mouth! If you use it for cooking, you can eat it. Open your mouth! Open it! Kavruk tries to separate them, no, don't. Stop! [this was great]

Sancar walks in on this and shouts, what's going on? What are you doing to this poor woman? Feride says she poisoned her. Sancar shouts, give me patience! Feride demands, bring Menekse. I must see her. Meanie is listening from the stairway. Sancar tries to reason with his aunt, you can't see her if she doesn't want you to. Understand!

Feride will not give up, I want to know if the baby is alive or not. I must know. Sancar is losing patience. Feride says, then, call a doctor now. Sancar asks, is a doctor okay? Feride agrees. Are you sure, he asks? She’s sure. But Meanie and Atike look panicked. Sancar leads Feride back to the couch to sit calmly.

Meanie comes out from her hiding place, listen, Sancar. You have your men at my door, and I can’t go out. You have embarrassed me [she’s lucky he hasn’t killed her]. But you bring a doctor just to reassure your senile aunt? I don’t want a doctor to come!

Sancar counters, good. good! Then my aunt will stay here. Feride is all for it. Sahra enters the house dressed in scrubs. Good evening, she says, sorry, Sancar, I came as soon as you called. But I couldn’t find this house. She introduces herself to everyone, I am Dr. Sahra. Sancar welcomes her in. This is a pleasant surprise for the Barnacles. Sahra says she’s come to check the baby and reassure Sancar’s aunt. Feride gives Sahra the once-over.

Sahra asks, do you have ultrasound at home? Yes, it’s upstairs. Sahra says, okay, let's go up. And just to tweak Meanie, she adds, would the dad like to join us, too? Sancar gets excited, he asks Meanie, will you let me? No! Sancar tells Meanie, I want to see my son. Menekse shoots back, but you also wanted to divorce, so you won't be able to see him. Sancar asks Sahra, could I see a photograph? He scowls at Meanie and adds, since I am his father. The ladies head upstairs.

Sahra happily greets Ceylan, how is the beautiful mom? Ceylan replies she’s good but she’s cursing Kahraman. Meanie is impatient, she mocks, can I offer you tea? This is not the time to talk. Meanie worries that Sancar wants an ultrasound picture. If I show Ceylan's, he will see that the baby is very small.

Sahra shoots back, oooo ... not as much as your brain, dear. [lol] Don’t worry, I managed to keep the baby and his mother safe. She takes an ultrasound picture out of her pocket. Ceylan is grateful, I don't know what my life would be without you. She hugs Sahra. Sahra checks the real baby.

Meanie lives up to her nickname. She takes a pic of the fake ultrasound and sends it to Nare: “I just wanted to show you the ultrasound of my baby and Sancar’s.” Nare rolls down the taxi window for air.

Meanie is so pleased with herself and says, Sancar must be freaking out down there. [I love the look on Sahra’s face. As much as she hates Sancar, she can’t stand being with Meanie.] Ceylan says she knows Sancar will be a good father and she is thankful for that. But she still wants Kman to rot. Sahra laughs.

Speaking of Kman, he’s still on stakeout at Feride’s. Gediz returns with a van. He takes out a shovel and heads for the cabbage patch. Kman says to himself, for once do something that is not predictable. I’m sorry, Gediz, I need that corpse. Kman makes a call and gives an order— lights, now. The lights go on in Feride’s house and Gediz freaks. He gets out of there in a hurry. Kman enjoys the moment.

Sahra comes downstairs with good news for Feride, the baby is fine. Feride asks, are you serious? Sahra turns to Sancar, I wish you had seen it. When I placed the transducer in its mother, the baby moved at once. He kicked hard. Ceylan is listening from the stairs. You're going to have a strong and healthy baby. Sancar looks like he’s trying to contain his excitement or maybe he’s worried about Nare. But Kavruk is excited and exclaims, of course he will be strong! He’s an Efeoglu! [not so fast, Kavruk]

Sahra shows Sancar the fake pic. He smiles. He brings it over to Feride, look, he's my son. Gulsiye and Kavruk come over to look, too. Feride says, I see. I am very happy that he is healthy. She quickly follows it up with, let's get out of here, this place depresses me. [and it disgusts me.]

Sancar gets a call from Halise. We see her outside the mansion and a taxi is pulling away. She tells him, Nare came, looking very sad, she took my sleeping granddaughter and left. What? Halise says, she didn't even look at me. She just came, took the girl and left. Halise asks, what’s going on? Why did she take Melek in the middle of the night? Sancar looks sick.

Melek and Nare are in bed. Melek asks, why did we come here? Because this is our house, Nare replies. Melek says, I was going to prepare the henna with my grandmother for your big night. Nare asks, my big night? Yes, Melek responds, because you are getting married and my grandmother will have your big henna night tomorrow. Nare asks, tomorrow? Yep, tomorrow. Nare sighs and tells her daughter, let's go to sleep, we'll talk tomorrow.

Sancar shows up at Nare’s and knocks on the door. She gets up and goes outside. He keeps knocking and listening. Nare .. She tells him to go. He says, I'm not going to go until you open. She refuses to open. Sancar sighs and reminds her, you promised to accept me as I am. Open the door.

Nare tells him, I will not accept that you left me on our first date to go to Menekse. She bangs on the door. Sancar pleads, Nare, please, open the door. Nare tells him once again to go. He says, you went to the mansion and took Melek just like that. Please let me see her. Nare replies, what for? Wasn’t seeing your baby's picture enough? [how many times have they been on opposite sides of a closed door?]

During the song, Sancar and Nare sit on opposite sides of the door for a while. Nare finally goes back to bed with Melek. Sancar is home and he looks at the ultrasound pic. He places it face down on the table.

They cut another scene. Feride is on another mission. She is convinced that Atike is doing black magic and she has the mansion workers searching the grounds for anything she might have planted there. Kavruk gets very frustrated with her and they argue. She brings up his tainted blood from his grandpa. Ayse shows up and Feride wants her to oversee the operation outside and to let her know who comes and goes. Very awkward between Ayse and Kavruk.

Sancar comes downstairs to find Halise, Zehra and Gulsiye preparing for the henna night. We see Feride sneak into Sancar’s room.

Halise starts grousing, Elvan no longer wants to divorce because Nare is getting married, and she's not even here. Sancar asks his mother not to continue. Halise disregards his request and asks, where is Nare? She is going to get married and does not help us. She just disappeared. Sancar says that’s enough. Halise continues, she left, so explain why the hell she woke up my granddaughter in the middle of the night and without saying anything, took her? Halise doesn’t shut up until Sancar blows up, because she is upset with me, mother! I left her alone to go get my aunt from Menekse's house!

Halise sure loves to make a bad situation worse. She tells Sancar, you went there because you wanted to. You did it and you would do it again. She will get used to it when you get married. I know none of us loves Menekse. But even if we don't like her, she is the mother of your child, Sancar. She carries an Efeoglu. [not so fast, Halise].

Sancar bangs on the table and explodes again, it would be better for me if she wasn't pregnant! Halise gasps and panics, [Turkish] Repent! Repent! Allah will get angry and take back, just as He gave. Then your heart will hurt a lot later. Sancar whispers, forgive me, Allah forgive me. He walks away but Halise calls after him, I'll still do henna night. Are you telling Nare to come? She snarks, I can send her an invitation.

Sancar goes to his room to find Feride searching his clothes. He startles her, what are you doing? Feride says, I'm looking for traces. Looking for traces, Sancar asks? Yes, from Atike the witch. I want to make sure she did not place any bewitched object. Sancar exhales and backs off, whatever you say, hala. I was never here, okay? I’ll leave you to keep looking. Sancar hurries off Ha, ha, Feride yells after him, Are you planning to go out like this? It's cold, take a sweater!

Sancar storms out of the house and Kavruk asks, where are you going? He answers without stopping, I'm leaving. Kavruk grabs his arm and says, don't go out like that, put on a jacket. Sancar is really angry. He shouts, let go of me, if you don't want me to hurt you! Oh no, Kavruk tells Ayse, he is about to explode. May heaven protect him. Ayse says, yes, look at how he left. May everything be resolved, Kavruk says. Things get awkward again between Ayse and Kavruk and they walk in opposite directions.

Gediz is out on his bedroom balcony. Muge comes out to him. He asks his sister, is Sancar right? Does my pride control me? Muge says, why do you ask now? Gediz replies, he will buy my shares. Nare threatened me with prison. And what I can't stand is ...that Sancar is always one step ahead of me.

Erstwhile psychologist Muge says, I’m beginning to believe that the love you feel is a pretext to hide the problem you have with him. Gediz says, love and hate are two different things. Muge asks, then what will happen? Will you both continue this fight in order to win?

Gediz says, can I be honest? Sure. Gediz tells Muge, I am like a wounded animal taking refuge in his cave. I cried a lot. My wounds do not heal and I roar although no one listens to me. Muge says, what if you get out of your cave? Gediz replies, I assure you it won't be any good, sister. Muge tells him, so it's you who hurts my brother the most.

Elvan sets out breakfast. Nare comes out. Elvan asks, how was dinner? Nare gives a very flat, good, and then proceeds, Elvan, there is something important that I must tell you. Did you decide not to divorce because I am getting married? Elvan answers, just for this moment. Nare says, ok don't, but ... are you sure?

Elvan is sure. She tells Nare, you are going to have your henna night and then your wedding. If I divorce, I will not be with you at all your ceremonies. I will not enter the mansion. I'll get divorced later. Do you prefer I do it now? Nare says, I don't want you to do something you don’t want. I don’t want you to feel bad for me or anyone else. Just do what you think best.

Elvan walks to the door and says, Sancar, listen to me. if you are outside, knock three times so I won’t open the door. She laughs. But it’s not Sancar, it’s Dudu. Elvan opens the door. Dudu asks, aren’t you going to get divorced? Elvan answers, how dare you? You shameless whore.

Dudu is undaunted, what about you, Elvan? You know Yahya doesn't love you anymore. Dudu twists the knife, that's why he cheated on you. If you still have any dignity, you should get a divorce. Elvan assures her she will divorce in due time. Elvan goes to close the door. Dudu stops her and says that’s interesting. When will that day come? You told Yahya to use binoculars. He told me about it last night. Will you feel better in the future? And until then you will stay with him?

Elvan’s claws come out, listen to me. I was going to get divorced from Yahya in a month, after Nare gets married and lives in the mansion. But last night he came, and now you. You want to drive me crazy! So there is no divorce! What? Elvan says, didn't you hear me? Open your ears, dear. You're going to be with Yahya the day I get divorced, but now I don't feel like parting with my husband. Do you understand? Elvan tells Dudu to go. Go away! And slams the door on her.

Elvan goes into the house and heads straight to the kitchen. Nare is helping Melek with an online lesson. [finally we see Melek doing schoolwork] Nare asks, what happened? Did you fight? Elvan says, it was not Sancar, it was Dudu. She came to ask why I won't get divorced. Elvan continues, a moment ago you told me to do what was best for me. I will not divorce. I will move with you to the mansion and I will not allow Yahya to enter. That's just what I'm going to do.

The doorbell rings again. Elvan assumes it’s Dudu coming back and she’s ready for a fight. Nare stops her. Melek is in the house, she says, calm down. Don’t cause trouble. Nare goes for the door.

It’s Sancar. He barges right in and starts, you think I didn't need you last night, right? Maybe this time I deserve an explanation. Don't you think, Nare? She answers, you saw your son, Sancar. I don't understand what explanation you want me to give you.

It’s a dressmaker with her assistants. Nare is surprised, what are you coming for? Sancar Efeoglu called me to bring some wedding dresses. I guess you didn't know. Nare turns to look at Sancar. Sancar says, that's right, welcome. Sancar tells Nare, I wanted to surprise you, we agreed to be civil. I hope you like it.

Nare offers an apology to the dressmaker saying she was very surprised by this. She welcomes them in, and they enter the house. Sancar tells Nare, if you no longer want to see them, you can—Melek interrupts, she gasps, are they wedding dresses? Nare says that's right, my girl. Would you like to see them together?

Melek asks, dad, did you buy a dress for mom? He just gives a weak smile. Nare is not happy. This is very awkward.

Sahra arrives and walks into the middle of the bridal show. Elvan and Nare discuss the dresses. Sancar is smiling. Melek comments, it seems as if he was to wear the dress, but he's the man. Everyone laughs. Nare welcomes Sahra, when did you arrive? Sahra looks around, oh, you are very busy. It looks like you brought the whole boutique to the house. Melek says, not at all. My dad surprised my mom.

And we are out.

Miranda deserves a better school. That principal with her quasi-Victorian blouse got on my nerves. Good for Alicia for defending Miranda and questioning their objectivity. The poor girl's problems are only beginning.

Karina is another metiche and has no business going upstairs to Martin's bed. He should forget he's a gentleman for the minute or two it would take to tell her off.

SerJerk can't handle the shoe being on the other foot. Martin is younger, healthy, and handsome. Juleech saying so really brought home the point. This was interesting.

Diana, I agree with your theory about Moises. He is no better than SerJerk. As for him still insisting that the wedding will go on, I think he's in Sunk Cost Fallacy mode. My college buddy was in this situation once and it's not good. Moises has pride and while he is probably a competent attorney, having SerJerk for a suegro would work in his favor... until SerJerk can be destroyed by scandal or something else.

I also hope Alicia tells SerJerk off, and her traitorous mother along with him. What a selfish, greedy bitch Eva is to help him humiliate her own daughter. Alicia should throw her out on her butt along with nothing she owns that SerJerk ever paid for.

I get angrier every time anyone says that Alicia is old enough to be Martin's mother. No matter the biology 15 is too young to be a mother and is far less likely to happen in a family like this than in one of people from a less-educated class. There is a bigger age difference between SerJerk and Juleech; why is that being ignored?

Maame Adwoa, welcome! Great point about Lucas. Secrets don't last on telenovelas and this one is nuclear. He looks older than Yuri and Gonzalo, so I am thinking that he might have been conceived shortly after SerJerk married Alicia. Now, if only Alicia's divorce lawyer can find this out.

I hope Martin's mother doesn't become another metiche. Martin and Carlota don't belong together.

Speculation: I think Mujica is the one who killed Martin's brother, who was probably investigating corruption.
