DEJAN - Ep 30, Part 1: All’s Well, but Doesn’t End Well

Sergio is talking to Eva on the phone and keeps asking “what friend?” But Eva doesn’t know. Diablo alerts Sergio that the break is over, but Sergio has enough time to bask Alicia---who doesn’t take care of his kids!!

In the car, Alicia is still in a panic when Martin’s tracker friend finally calls.

At the hotel, as the thunder roars and lightning strikes, Culebra offers to go get something to eat, but Miranoff doesn’t want to stay alone. After Culebra smirks and asks how she came up with the idea of dressing like a guy to get into the team, Miranoff teases that he never guessed she was a girl. When Culebra comments that hiding must be her thing, Miranda replies that has been what she has been doing her whole life.

Yaya is in the kitchen thinking about what she saw. When Yuri enters and asks for Gonzo, Yaya, who is a bad liar, denies knowing where he is…or anything else! When Yuri tells her she is going to look for Gonzo, Yaya tries to distract her but Yuri goes anyway.

In the bedroom, Fedora is aghast that Gonzo kissed her again and tells him to leave. As he leaves, Yuri sees him and asks what he was doing so he quickly deflects telling her that he was asking Fedora for her mother. Yuri tells him that Miranoff still hasn’t shown up so they both go off making calls.

At the station, the show is on and Juleech is interviewing a politico who seems to think that he could be president. When Juleech addresses Sergio he is off in la-la-land.

At the hotel, Miranoff and Culebra are still chatting and teasing each other. A clash of thunder sends Culebra to sit beside Miranoff who brings up Nicole. Culebra tells her that she is prettier than Nicole, but Miranoff thinks he tells that to all the girls. Culebra assures her that he has never told a girl that dresses as a boy that he likes her. There is a knock on the door and there stands Martin and Alicia in the rain under an umbrella. After Miranofff introduces Culebra, Alicia scolds Miranoff for not answering her phone. Miranoff explains that she wanted to escape and didn’t want to let anyone at home know. Alicia wants to leave but Martin advises her that it is raining too much and it would be better to wait. Miranoff then asks who Martin is; so Alicia explains that Martin helped her since he has a friend that tracked her phone.

At the house, Yuri receives the call from Alicia and explains to everyone that they found Miranoff who is fine. Ekva asks if she was alone and when Yuri tells her that Miranda was with a school friend, Eva clarifies that she is asking who Alicia was with. Yuri doesn’t know but they will be spending the night at the hotel because of the bad weather. Eva is appalled that Miranoff is in a hotel with a friend from school so Fedora points out that the important thing is that she was found. Eva then suggests that they call Sergio to give him an update and, though Gonzo argues, she insists and Fedora surprisingly backs her up.

At the hotel, Martin gets a room and tells Alicia that it is the only room left…is she willing to share the room with him? Alicia’s doesn’t reply since her phone rings but the signal is bad and she can’t answer. She then tells Martin that they should go to the room. (With an inner smile, Martin starts counting his eggs before they hatch).

 

DEJAN - Ep 30, Part 2: All’s Well, But Doesn’t End Well Part

At the station, Sergio informs Juleech of what has been happening with Miranda.

Sofia wonders why her father didn’t answer the door, Carlota tries to make excuses for Martin, but Sofia insists since Karina said that he was with a friend…and Kairna is cool…and in love with her father. Carlota tells her that is why they shouldn’t listen too much to what Karina has to say.

At the hotel. Alicia bursts Martin’s little bubble since she will be sleeping with Miranda and Martin can sleep with Culebra.

At the station, Sergio excuses himself since he has to leave. Juleech wants to celebrate her debut but Serjerk isn’t up to it. When he tells her that he is going to the hotel, Juleech reminds him of what he had said, but SerJerk tells her that those plans are to start the next day.

At the hotel, Martin calls Diablo who quickly asks if he is with Alicia. When Martin admits that he came with Alicia to look for her daughter, Diablo reminds hm that they had agreed that Martin would not do anything to give Serjerk a reason to run him off.

In the other room, Alicia and Miranda are having a talk. Miranda explains that she left because she is fed up with being the odd one and wanted to start over.. Alicia tells her that starting from zero is the worst thing she can do. Alicia tells Miranoff that everyone was going crazy because they couldn’t find her…everyone loves her very much. Alicia then asks Miranda where she was planning to go; and when Miranoff replies that she was going out of Mexico, Alicia wonders how since she doesn’t have a passport. Alicia assures Miranoff that she is not alone…she is deep in her heart and they will fight whatever comes together. Miranoff can even change schools if she wants to...this will never happen to her again.

SerJerk arrives to the house asking for Alicia…and why she isn’t answering her phone! Eva replies that Alicia is probably scared to answer since she knows how he gets. After she reminds SerJerk that Altcia found Miranoff, Serjerk adds that it was Alicia and her “friend”. He asks if Eva has found out who the friend is; Eva doesn’t know yet but assures Serjerk that she will find out.

Juleech is chatting with Mabel and tells her that, as of today, SerJerk will be living there. SerJerk has started the divorce proceedings but Juleech has realized that Alicia and the kids will always be a problem. Mabel reminds her of her grand speech of liberated women and now all Juleech can think of is being the “Señora Carranza!”.

At the Carranza home, SerJerk and Gonzo are at each other’s throats. Gonzo knows that the only reason Serjerk is there is to give his mother a hard time…and to mark his territory. When Gonzo adds that he doesn’t care about them, Serjerk thinks that Gonzo should give thanks that he has a father like him. Gonzo chides Serjerk for thinking that everything he does is perfect…but Serjerk is arrogant and a liar without scruples (viewerville collectively nods)…he is leading a double life! SerJerk assures him that all he has done is for them (uhmmm, even sleeping with Juleech??), but Gonzo questions what he has done for him…where was his father when he had so many questions for him as he grew up…and now it’s too late. Serjerl responds that while he was growing up, was working, making a career so that they can have this lifestyle. Gonzo points out that was his mistake….his career was more important…and that is why he lost his family.

 

DEJAN Ep 30, Part 3: All’s Well, but Doesn’t End Well

NEXT DAY--
At the hotel, the foursome are having breakfast. Culebra explains his nickname. Martin teases that Alicia was praying that they had run off to Cancun or a similar place. When Alicia comments that she likes the beach, Martin suggests that the next time they run off, they should go to a place with a beach.,

Fabian and Rebeca are having breakfast that Fabian ordered. Fabian reminds her that she needs to go to her appointment since her heath is most important. Rebeca assures him thay she feels much better, but Fabian insists that she keep her appointment.

Gonzo goes to Fedora’s bedroom, but Yaya tells him that she left…probably to her house.

Fedora enters her house and looks around. She finds a note from Samuel telling her not to worry; he’ll be back at any moment.

Luna tells her mother that she needs a new backpack. Mom wants to mend it, but Luna wants Quique to get her a new one. Just then, the cops show up looking for Quique who has run off to his room to grab a gun…and he escapes. The cops insist on entering the house to search it since they have a warrant for his arrest. The cops ransack Quique’s room since Gutierrez has ordered them to search until they find something.

Culebra tells Miranoff that he is somewhat glad that her mother found them. Miranoff can’t believe her mother could do something so modern as to have her phone tracked…but she would have liked to continue their adventure. Culebra suggests that next time they can plan an escape better…with more money. They shake on it but the shake turns in to a slight handplay. Miranoff teases that his plan to seduce her went to pot, They laugh and Culebra assures her that if he had wanted to, he would have kissed her…and he just might do it when she least expects it. As he moves closer to her, Martin and Alicia approach and tell them that they need to be on their way.

Serjerk tells Yuri that he never imagined that Miranoff would cause so many problems; he thinks he should send her off where they can discipline her. Just then Moises arrives. Serjerk is happy to see his son in law and asks about the wedding. Yuri stars to explain about canceling the wedding, but Moises puts on his long face, interrupts and tells SerJerk himself.

The foursome are driving back and chatting. Alicia comments how Martin helped, but Culebra points out that he was the one who jumped on the bus with Miranoff. When Alicia comments that he should have called her, Culebra replies that he doesn’t have her number, otherwise, he would have called her.

 

DEJAN - Ep 30, Part 4: All’s Well, but Doesn’t End Well

Serjerk gives Yuri are hard time for canceliing the wedding; She needs to keep her word! Yuri knows that she made a mistake in not telling Moises sooner. She assures them that she wants to cancel the wedding…and Serjerk has to accept it! It was her decision…she just doesn’t want to marry Moises. She doesn’t want to make Moises feel bad, but she needs to be true to herself. Moises brings up that there is someone else, but Yuri denies it…it was her decision. When SerJerk insists, Yuri retorts that she doesn’t want to get married and end up like him and her mother!

Fedora is still at her house when Gonzo calls her. She tells him that they need to keep away from each other. Her life is a disaster and if they continue the way they have been, it will be worse. Gonzo insists in talking to her in person. When she tells him she is at her house, Gonzo wonders what she will do if Samuel shows up. She replies that she will try to negotiate with him just like she has done with all the other men with whom she has had bad luck with.

Karina explains to Luna and her mother that a delinquent they arrested confessed that Quique was his accomplice. She advises mom that Quique needs to cooperate or things will get worse. Karina advises the mom to tell her son to turn himself in.. it’s the best thing he can do.

Cholo is moping because he thinks Yuri made a fool of him. He doesn’t even have a phone to call her. Asote advises him to let her go…she has her world and he has his. Meanwhile, Yuri is trying to get in to see Cholo but she is told that she can’t see him….as per orders for the higher ups.

Fedora is home and is surprised by Samuel!! (oh noes!!)

Serjerk is still at the house talking to Eva who thinks Alicia’s friend must be one of Fedora’s friends. Just then Miranin hugs her daddy dearest and is followed by Alicia who assures Serjerk that Miranoff is perfectly fine. As SerJerk reproaches her for not answering his calls, he sees Martin enter. Serjerk hisses, “So you were the friend who was with Alicia!”…and the two men stare each other down.

The title could not have been more fitting Rgv Chick. The recap was a marvelous read – I enjoyed every single word. Just wonderful.

The finding and rescue of Miranda went smooth as silk. With top notch technology and lightening quick reaction time, Alicia and Martin arrived to save the day. Alicia didn’t scold, didn’t reprimand, instead choosing love and kindness telling her daughter “she is not alone…she is deep in her heart and they will fight whatever comes together”.

“(With an inner smile, Martin starts counting his eggs before they hatch)” was pure perfection Rgv Chick. I had to smile and shake my head that Martin morphed into a besotted teenager, actually thinking he and Alicia were going to share a room. I half expected him to propose hanging a sheet to separate the sides of the bed (think It Happened One Night). 😊. Martin and Alicia deserve credit for being cool, calm and collected and for handling the uncomfortable situation with grace and tact.

It seemed all the bad drama was bottled up waiting to explode in the last quarter of the show. Sergio is sickening. “SerJerk assures him that all he has done is for them (uhmmm, even sleeping with Juleech??” was right on Rgv Chick!

When Sergio saw how upset Yuri was and hearing her say she wanted to cancel the wedding, he should have asked Moises to leave and had a heart to heart with his daughter. But as only one of them HAS a heart, that was simply impossible. Sergio has lost any rational reason for any of his children to respect him.

Then, when Yuri seeks comfort from Cholo, she is turned away and he is left thinking she has betrayed him.

“She replies that she will try to negotiate with him just like she has done with all the other men with whom she has had bad luck with”. A terrible decision that will cost Fedora (and likely Gonzalo) dearly.

Honey, I’m home!! The look on Sergio’s face was priceless. Can’t wait to see what happens!

What fun reading your very fine recap this morning! Count me in with Diana on “With an inner smile, Martín starts counting his eggs before they hatch.” Perfect! Diana, it made me think of “It Happened one Night”, too. That scene made me smile. Poor Martín thought he was going to get lucky. I had to laugh when Miranda emerged from the bathroom. Hands down, the most entertaining scenes were the ones with Alicia, Martín, Miranda and Culebra only the presence of Nelson could have made them better.

So, Culebra’s real name is plain old Diego. Too funny. I wonder what his family situation is since he was able to be gone all night. He does have nice stuff and gies to Miranda’s school so his family must have money.

The weather sure cooperated interfering with Alicia being able to get Sergio’s call. ; )

Yup, Sergio was busy working and making a good life for his family. That hard work never should have been rewarded by extramarital relationships. Something isn’t quite right in that noggin since he continues thinking he can have both women.

Good for Yuri not being bulldozed by her father into marrying Moisés and telling him they were in 21st century and arranged marriages didn’t happen anymore (at least in her part of society).

Sergio had no right being angry about Alicia out with “a friend.” She will need to remind him of that. So sad for him it happened to be Martín. Can’t wait for tonight.

Fedora/Eva are both annoying and stupid. Fedora’s comment to Gonzo in reference to Samuel: “I will just deal with him the way I do all of the men I am unfortunate enough to get involved with” was sickening. Evidently, she lives to be victimized. She needs many more loooong therapy sessions with Carlota to repair her self-esteem. As for Eva, Sergio should have her on the payroll for her unrelenting spying and timely reporting of events.

I understand that Marcela wants to protect Quique but she must know he is a thief. Of course, if he gets arrested, who will support her family?

So not only is Martin shirking work for excellent adventures with Sergio's wife, he appears at the doorstep after "rescuing" his daughter. Fireworks for sure! :)

How is Yuri going to get back in to see Cholo??

Unless a miracle occurs, Quique is in for a sad end.

Autocorrect keeps changing " dejean " to " demean"....more accurate for this show of women being demeaning , dismissed, abused. I realize how blessed I was to be surrounded by good, caring, loving men my whole life.

I too enjoyed the scenes of the Fantastic Four…and oh yes! Nelson would have been the icing on the cake!

TU AMOR ep 59 part 1

Helena is talking to Hector in a sewing room. She tells him that she was chubby when she was young. That doesn't matter, he says. I love you for how you are. It's not just my physical condition, she says. I was left with many insecurities. When I was anxious, I would eat and eat until I couldn't anymore. I went through Bulimia, Anorexia, many diets. You don't know the work it's taken me to get where I am. I'm really grateful to Majo because she was always there. And now that we're together, I worry that someone with a good body will come along, and pretty, like Patricia and you'll leave me. I'll always be here for you, he says. You're starting to mean everything to me. I love you more for telling me this and for trusting me. Take just one day. I'll take you to the best place in the city for some good food. OK, but only one day, she says. Yes, one day per week, he jokes.

Majo sees Valentina checking the condition of her wedding dress. She reminds her that it was a gift. Yes, says Valentina, for a wedding that never took place. What you did for Ricardo was noble, Majo tells her. Val says that she doesn't understand why life insists she not be happy. Life is like a clothing pattern, says Majo. You cut something beautiful so you can sew it together with other things that were cut, and together they make something beautiful. Thanks, I needed to here those words, Val says hugging her.

Adelaida is at Ricardo's bedside. She's been thinking he has the right to know some things about his life. She says she knows who his real father is. Forgive me, she says. I didn't know if I should tell you or not. Is it true that I'm the son of a chauffeur as my fath... as Armando told me?, he asks. I didn't know him long, she says, but I remember him as a happy man with good manners and very helpful. He always had a smile for everyone. Your mother and he fell in love, and from that love, you were born, Ricardo. Do you know his name or where he is?, Ricardo asks. I only know his name is Nicolas, she says. When Armando discovered that your mother was in love with him, he sent him from the village. He could have done something worse. Now I know why he always despised me, Ricardo realizes. I wish I could help you more, Adelaida says, but I don't know if he's alive or where he could be. Thank you, Ricardo says. I'm going to look for him and I'm not going to rest until I find him.

Guillermo is in Doctor Rosa Maria's office. She says he looks surprisingly well, but he has to rest. He apologizes for the way dinner ended the other night. Don't worry she says. No family is perfect. I'd like to make it up to you by inviting you to dinner. What do you say? Sounds good, she says. See you soon, Guillermo says, kissing her had. Have a splendid day. Samara comes in when he leaves. RM confesses that she still feels something for Claudio. But he has a novia and you know it's impossible, Samara points out. No, says RM. They broke up yesterday. This is the perfect time to be with him. Guillermo is a great man but there's something about Claudio that I can't explain. I lose nothing by trying. Samara just shakes her head.

Horacio sees Valentina leaving the house with her bag. She says she can't keep living in his house. Well, at least you have some dignity left, he says. I know you must hate me for what happened, she says. There's not a name for what you did to Claudio, he says. Did you suddenly go crazy? Only a woman that lost her reason would play with the feelings of someone that loved her so much. You know I love Claudio, she says crying. I love him more than my life. What would you have me do? I couldn't leave Ricardo like that. Can I ask you a favor?, Horacio says. Stay away from Claudio. Please don't hurt him any more. Consuelo comes up and asks what's wrong. What are you doing with that suitcase? You kicked her out?, she asks Horacio. No, I didn't have to. She decided, and I think it's best. You're coming with me daughter. I won't have you wandering aimlessly. You will always be welcome in my house. Come. I love you, Val tells Horacio, and follows Connie.

Yolanda welcomes a man named Francesco to her office. I always respond to a lady's request, he says, especially if she's the most acclaimed designer in the country. Why did you call me? I assume it's to pay back some favors? Your online clothing company wouldn't have taken off without my help, Yolanda says. I want you to sign an exclusive contract with Helena Vargas to sell the collection she announced for real women. What?, you want me to betray you with your competitor. No, she says, you're going to help me sink Helena Vargas. First, you're not going to sell her designs. Secondly, with her designs in your hands I'm going to be able to steal them and I'll be able to bankrupt her completely. If you help me you'll become rich but if you refuse, you will lose everything. What do you say? Well I don't even have to think about it. Acepto.

Brochas, his father, and Cibernético toast the family legacy with some beers. We'll be the kings of the barrio again. How are we going to pay back Horacio, Claudio, and Hector?, asks Brochas. His father answers, When we were children, we spent a lot of time playing at Horacio's house. His father was like him. Super stingy and secretive. But one day, during one of those games we played, I realized that he had a hidden room, but I never knew what was in it. That stingy old man!, Brochas exclaims.

Nora comes to her fathers office to tell him she went to school to get some information about her studies. He reminds her that she has a meeting tonight at 8:00. To who would it occur to have a meeting at 8:00?, she asks sarcastically. To me, Guillermo says, why? Uh, because it's a good time, she lies. Yes, really good. Her phone rings and it's Yolanda. You have an appointment with the dance teacher at 8:30. Don't forget.

Rosa Maria is checking on Ricardo in his hospital room. He says that thanks to him, she has a clear path to Claudio. She gets a call from Guillermo. He wants to spend tomorrow afternoon with her. You have a clear path for Claudio, Ricardo laughs, but first you have to get rid of Guillermo. And if I don't want to get rid of him?, she asks. Rosa Maria, Guillermo could be your father, Ricardo says. Well, understand one thing, Rosa Maria responds. A woman would be very lucky to find a man like Guillermo.

How could you let Valentina go?, Claudio asks his father. She was confused. She made a mistake, but nothing that deserves leaving the house. Oh, how modern., says Horacio. You don't care if she stays here? That she has breakfast with us? After running after that guy?, no sir! Of course I care, says Claudio. My heart is shattered. But I love her. I'd never leave her alone in the street. I don't understand you, Horacio says. At least she had dignity and she left.
 

TU AMOR ep 59 part 3

Enrique is at the office and has just transferred $100,000 US to his ghost account in Dubai. Thanks for your donation, Guillermo, he says. I'm going to empty your account from the Caiman Islands without you noticing. Alicia comes in to tell him the meeting is about to start. He tells her to knock and closes his computer. She seems to realize that he's acting suspiciously.

Claudio comes to Consuelo's house as they are cleaning up after supper. You didn't have to leave the house, he tells Valentina. Your room is available if you want to come back. She says she doesn't want to cause more problems. He says that many things happened between them but he'd never leave her unprotected. I know, she says. I know you think the worst of me but I love you Claudio. I won't worry if you stay here, he says. Good night. I lost him, Val tells herself. I lost Claudio's love forever.

Nora tries to get out of the 8:00 meeting by pretending to be sick. You won't tell my father will you?, she asks Alicia. And please take notes of all the important points for me. Where are you going daughter?, asks Guillermo as he comes on the meeting room screen. You're not planning to stay at the meeting?, asks Patricia. Do you know how to take the minutes? Of course, Nora says. Alicia will help me. Aren't you going to answer your phone?, asks Enrique, when she gets a call from Yolanda. Everyone turn off your phones, says Guillermo. I don't want any more interruptions. Nora, you send the minutes to everyone. Of course father, she says.

At Yolanda's, Johnny the dance instructor is in a snit because Nora isn't there and he's wasting his time. He tells Yolanda how offended he feels and leaves. I'm sick of that foolish child, Yolanda says. I've had it up to here and the worst is that I have to be patient with her to get what I want. Sooner or later Nora is going to learn that nobody plays with Yolanda Pratas. Nobody.

Helena is working late when she hears a noise. Is anyone here?, she asks. She walks around her darkened studio to find out what happened. She sees the outline of someone behind a curtain. What are you doing here she asks?, picking up some shears. The shadow moves closer and she screams and runs away. Hector steps into the studio with a bottle of wine. The intruder was him. Helena was so frightened that she has to literally force herself to relax. Hector asks her to please put down her weapon. She finally recovers and is so relieved that she kisses him. You've behaved very badly she says, taking him into the office. I have to behave badly more often he replies. A guard is looking around the studio and shines his light toward the office. They hide under a table half dressed. Helena can't stop laughing when he leaves.

TU AMOR. Thank you for the excellent recap, JoelD! So Helena's big secret is that she used to be chubby? I thought she'd be talking about her mother's death. A bit of a letdown, though bulimia and anorexia are serious. I hope they don't recur as Yolanda tries to wreck her business. Btw, Patricia is not that pretty. Claudio is so unreasonable. I think Val would have stopped the wedding ceremony even if a guest or bystander had collapsed and could be dead. That's just the kind of compassionate person she is. I was also disappointed in Horacio's reaction, but Consuelo came through as usual. Now, are we going to meet Nicolas, Ricardo's supposed father, or not? Or will Armando have killed him? Very suspenseful. And Yolanda is ever more evil in her quest to destroy Helena's business. I hope her punishment isn't put off too long. So cute when Helena and Hector hide from the security!

JoelD, another triumph. Not only do you capture all the action clearly and completely, your dialog translations were superb and wove a beautiful tapestry.

“Life is like a clothing pattern, says Majo. You cut something beautiful so you can sew it together with other things that were cut, and together they make something beautiful” was lovely.

This episode was unsettling to say the least. Horacio is morphing from kind and loving into angry and bitter. His wanting to protect his son is understandable but his uttered fury to Valentina that “There's not a name for what you did to Claudio, he says. Did you suddenly go crazy?” was a bit much and not worthy of him. Even Claudio was upset that his father allowed Valentina to leave, alone.

“I think Val would have stopped the wedding ceremony even if a guest or bystander had collapsed and could be dead. That's just the kind of compassionate person she is”. Perfect Span Prof! You are so, so right…

While Valentina’s staunch support of Ricardo was a bit understandable (at first), it is well past time to cut the cord. Ricardo is relentless and Valentina must resolve not to see or speak to him ever again. Of course as he always forces a confrontation, that may not be possible. Perhaps he will begin to search for his father and give Valentina a break. I would not have turned my back on her as Claudio did but he was at his limit. Valentina will have to fight with everything she has to get him back.

“Samara just shakes her head”. As do we upon learning the not so great doctora sees an opening to steal Claudio away while keeping Guillermo on the line.

The secret room is a secret no longer. This portends grave danger, especially for Horacio.

Am I a terrible person for not caring Enrique and Patty are stealing Guillermo blind? 😊

Yolanda continues her vengeance quest, her hatred growing unfettered.

Sahra thinks fast. As Nare approaches them she shouts, listen, tell me right now who you are? Nare is my only friend here, and I would never betray her! Look for someone else for your plans. I’m not going to sell out my friend. Understand? Gediz has his back turned to Nare’s arrival and doesn’t understand.

Nare walks up says, are you trying to buy my friends, Gediz? Gediz gets with the program and answers, your friend Sahra is very noble; she’s as faithful as a puppy. Nare asks Sahra, what does he want from you? Sahra replies with a question, was it Akin who threw Sancar off the cliff and escaped? Nare says that’s right. Sahra relates what Gediz told her—Sancar killed him (Akin) and that you hid the body. He asked me to trick you into saying where it is.

Nare turns to Gediz, will you never give up? Gediz says he warned her, I told you that I had to protect you from yourself, and that's what I'm going to do. Nare asks Sahra to wait and wants Gediz to follow her so they can talk. Before he goes, he tells the smiling Sahra, I might as well fall in love with you. You were very clever.

Sancar has lost Gediz’ men and sends his location to Muge.

Nare tells him, Sahra didn't work. Who's next, Gediz? Gediz says he doesn’t know but there will be someone. He’s not going to give up. He tells a very frustrated Nare to say it, tell me that you hate me but at least look me in the eyes. Nare looks at him and replies, I'm not going to do that, Gediz. I don't feel hatred for you or anything.

Gediz says he understands. Ok, Nare, but you forgave Sancar. You are not strong enough to hate someone. Nare tells him that’s enough—you are the one who is not strong. You think to fight is to hurt others, but I don't think like you. I prefer to be hurt before hurting other people. Haven’t you noticed that? [we’ve all noticed, but in the end it does hurt others] She adds, maybe my wounds won't heal, and I try to cover them all the time, but that does not mean I am a weak person.

Gediz says, you are strong, I know. Nare tells him, that's right, I do what is necessary to accept my wounds, not like you. I can do it and I can also live with them, unlike you. She makes an appeal, but I ask you not to make the wounds that you have already caused others, worse. Leave me alone so I can heal. Give up so that I will be able to forgive you for everything. Gediz is resolute, do you think that out of nowhere I will give up on you? Not in your dreams, Nare. Nare stares him in the eyes and firmly states, even if you don't, I'll get married. Give up or not, I will. They hold that stare for a moment before Gediz turns and goes.

As Gediz drives off, Nare’s word echo, even if you don't, I'll get married, even if you don't, I'll get married. Gediz suddenly stops his car. He takes Sadiclar checkbooks from his glove box and says to himself well then, everything will sink.

Nare asks Sahra, what did Gediz offer you? Sahra, who is indeed clever, replies, you know I just arrived from Istanbul. Everything here is new and difficult. My new job doesn't pay well. I can’t even make rent. Nare is sorry to hear it. She asks why Sahra didn’t tell her anything. Sahra says she thought she could deal with it, but the owner said she had to get out. Somehow Gediz found out, she tells Nare, he told me he would rent a house and give me money if I did what he asked. Nare sighs, and since you didn't, you don't have money to pay the rent. Sahra says, we all have our own problems.

Soft hearted, naïve Nare tells Sahra to pack her things. She will live with them. Sahra gives the obligatory rejection of the offer—I didn't tell you so you would help me. Nare knows and says, but we are friends. Sahra sighs, only if we split the rent. Nare replies, first, pay your debts and we'll talk about that later. Sahra gives Nare a hug and tells her, you have become on my best friend. Nare says same here. Sahra says she will get her things. Nare says, meanwhile, I will stay here to regret the friendship that I had with Gediz. Sahra walks away pleased with herself. This was too easy for her.

Muge meets with Sancar. She snarks, how exciting, are you going to need secret therapy? I suppose it’s so you don’t lose your rep with people, Sancar Efe. Sancar snarks back, I’ll go lie down over there and talk to you about my childhood. Ok, Muge asks, what happened? Sancar tells Muge about the poisoning. She’s shocked.

Sancar says, when Nare was unconscious, she spoke about the child I am having with Menekse. The doctor told me that when people say things in that state, it may be something that they are repressing. Muge says that could be true. They can reveal pent-up feelings and fears. Sancar worries, you know Nare, she never says anything. [In the Turkish] I don't know, I expected her to scold me for bringing Akin to the cliff, but she only said it once and that's it, Muge.

Muge considers this and says, I think she's escaping, if she can't physically flee, she does it emotionally. Muge explains to Sancar, do you remember when Nare came to you ... after what Akin had done? Like it wasn't something terrible. Sancar remembers—as if nothing had happened.

Muge asks, do you think the same thing is happening? She tried to escape what Akin had done to her. She pretended to be happy, and she even married you, right? Sancar says, she looked for me to heal her wounds and instead, I caused more. And now, I am going to have a child with another. He fears, what if I can't help her to heal?

Meanie and Celyan see Sahra for an ultrasound. Ceylan is excited to find out the baby’s gender. Meanie makes her wishes, I hope it is male. please let it be male….note the disdain on Sahra’s face. Ceylan says, as long as it is healthy. Sahra pronounces, perfect, in order, baby is healthy and….well...ah, I see it. Meanie asks, and tell me what is it? It's a boy?

Once again Sahra looks disgusted with Meanie and she snipes, don't tell me that you want to give a prince to your sultan. That won't make you come back as the queen. It’s a boy! Ceylan is so happy. Meanie reminds Ceylan not to love the baby too much, because it will hurt. This baby is not yours, she says, this baby is mine and Sancar’s, understand? Ceylan curses Kahraman for this unhappy fate.

Kman arrives at the hospital and Sahra spots him as she leaves the exam room. She quickly turns back. Ceylan and Meanie are alarmed. Sahra goes out and greets him, nice to see you, Kahraman. Kman wastes no time in saying, we have been following you. It's over. Sahra replies, I feel like you're hinting at something, and I don’t understand. Kman comes out with it, I know that Menekse and Ceylan are in there. I want you to tell me immediately what they are doing, or I will tell Sancar that you are Akin's sister.

They cut a scene: Sancar arrives home to find Kavruk crouched outside the mansion gate. He asks why he’s there. Kavruk says, you told me to stay. Sancar says he meant to stay inside and tells him to get up and go. Then Zehra arrives and Kavruk gets up to leave but Sancar tells him not to go. Kavruk won’t even look at Zehra. Sancar tries to get them to talk to each other, can’t you two sit down and have a nice conversation? Kavruk says, what does a servant have to say to the boss’ daughter? Sancar shouts about Kavruk’s foolish pride. Zehra says she did what she had to do and if Kavruk has nothing to say about it, then that’s it. Zehra tells Sancar, let’s go inside.

Another cut here: Necdet calls Sancar and tells him Meanie went to the doctor today and the baby is fine. Sancar says, thank God. He asks if they know the baby’s gender. Necdet says he doesn’t know. Sancar says keep me informed.

The ladies at the Efeoglu mansion are sitting around the table with the preparations to ask for Nare’s hand. Melek is impatient. Where is dad? The flowers are going to die. We hear the door and Melek reminds Halise, if he says he doesn't want to, we will pressure him to accept, right? Halise replies, you have repeated the plan a million times. We know, go meet dad.

Melek greets her dad. Sancar notices the table and says, should I be scared by this? What's going on? Melek happily announces, there will be a request for the hand. Sancar laughs, what are you talking about? Melek answers, we will ask for the hand of your girlfriend, who is my mother. Sancar laughs again, what? Your mother's hand? Don’t joke, Sancar says seriously, and at this time of night? Gulsiye makes a joke, do you prefer it to be in the morning?

Halise snarks, you got down on your knee in front of Nare. Does this scare you? Gulsiye laughs. Sancar asks, Gusiye, you and my mother know I got down on my knee? Gulsiye responds, oh, what a cruel woman. She made Sancar kneel in front of her. Sancar immediately turns to his daughter, it was you who told you, right? Melek replies, what could I do? They asked me and I told them. I had no choice. She tells her father go upstairs to change his clothes. Sancar realizes this is no joke. We are really going to bother your mom at this time, he asks?

Feride speaks, listen, Sancar, there are traditions and customs. There are rules and that is how it works. No young woman should marry without asking for her hand. If so, better leave your houses and just run away. Halise chimes in, if Nare is wearing an engagement ring, it is important that she knows that we agree. Like other brides, she has to serve coffee with salt to her fiancé, as is the custom.

Sancar asks with a smile, is that what they do? Yes. Sancar asks, is it what a woman expects? Feride interjects, obviously! Sancar gets on board, good. Yes, I'll do what is customary. If that’s what is done ... he picks up the tray of sweets. Melek is happy. Sancar tells everyone not to say anything, make it a surprise. And first he says Zehra, but then stops and tells Gulsiye to let Kavruk know he’s going to ask for the hand of the alaca kuş. This causes an awkwardness between Zehra and Ayse.

Nare calls Sancar, you said you would bring my daughter. Sancar replies, yes, we will be there in a half hour. Nare says to hurry because she misses Melek. Sancar asks don't you miss me, Nare? Okay, I'll bring Melek, but then I'll go. Nare smiles, no, you too. Sancar is in his room now. He picks up the suit that was laid out for him. So, do you want to see me, he asks? It's okay, don't cry. He laughs, we must act as is the custom, don't you think, my love?

Embajador S2 #37 part 4

Nare and Elvan take their dinner out on the patio. Nare asks Elvan about her divorce. What did the lawyer tell you? Elvan says Yahya refuses to sign the agreement. It is consensual, so things will get even more complicated. It will be a headache. There is a knock at the door. Nare and Elvan go to answer.

Nare is surprised to see all the Efeoglus. Did something happen? Elvan knows… oh no ... Halise asks, will you invite us in? Yes, sure, welcome. Elvan says to Nare, I can assure you that-- they are here to ask for your hand. Nare says, seriously? Elvan tells Nare, well look who is there. It’s Sancar in his suit, holding a big bouquet of red roses. Elvan tells Sancar, well done, perfect.

Sancar hands the flowers to Nare, here you go, love. They are all yours. Elvan takes them from Nare. Nare asks him, is something wrong, Sancar? Nothing, he says, i just came to ask for the hand of my love as I should. They hug. They both look so happy. So sweet.

Sancar closes the door, and we see Meanie and her mom spying across the street. Meanie is upset they came to ask for Nare’s hand. Atike puts the focus back on their reason to be there. They have to apply the spells at Nare’s door. They are delayed when Yahya arrives.

Sancar is waiting nervously. It takes them so long to get ready, he says. Where is Nare? Nare finally comes out in a very short dress with those very long white boots. [she’s wearing them just for us, Nina!] Sancar smiles and admires his beloved. Melek sits with Feride.

Nare welcomes everyone for coming and sits with the family. There are lots of smiles and looks between everyone assembled. Sancar get impatient and asks his mother tell Nare. Everyone laughs.

Halise says, my son doesn't know how this works. She explains, before anything else, I have to drink the coffee. Nare gets up right away, of course, I must prepare it. She asks everyone how do you like to drink it? Once again Sancar’s impatience shows. He answers for everyone, not to waste time, they are all the same, without sugar, okay? Feride stops her, put sugar in mine, please. There’s a knock at the door. Sancar says he will answer it and tells Elvan to help Nare with the coffee.

It’s Yahya. An unpleasant surprise for Sancar and for Elvan. What are you doing here, Sancar asks? Yahya says his mom invited him. Halise speaks up, today is a day when the whole family it has to be united, understand, Sancar? Sancar starts to object, thinking about Elvan. But Elvan tells him Halise is right. There is no problem. He can see you marry while he separates from me. This is uncomfortable.

They cut a scene: Ayse is with Dudu. Dudu vents to her aunt how they were wronged by the Efeoglus. Why do they win and we lose? Ayse tells her that Elvan filed for divorce, but Halise and Yahya don’t agree to it. She says that Halise invited Yahya to Nare’s to talk to Elvan. Dudu is angry and more determined than ever for her aunt to marry Kavruk. And she adds, Yahya will divorce and Halise will come to ask for my hand.

Everyone is seated, waiting for the coffee, Sancar does not take his eyes off his brother. Halise signals and Yahya gets up. Sancar stops him. Yahya says he’s just going to use the bathroom. Halise tells Sancar to think of Nare and don't cause trouble.

The coffee is ready and Elvan tells Nare, the one in the middle is Sancar’s. Nare reminds Elvan they are all the same, we did not add salt to any of them. Elvan says, you didn't let me put the salt, but at least let him be afraid to drink salty coffee. [I really wanted to see Sancar drink the salty coffee, to prove himself a worthy groom!]

Of course, Yahya is there to stop Elvan from returning outside, could we talk? Elvan has nothing to say. But Yahya says he does. Elvan says ok, but finish before the ceremony begins, I don't want to miss a moment. Yahya asks, you really don't love me? Elvan replies, make no mistake. For several years we shared our lives, we went through many things. Of course. I love you, Yahya. She starts to get up.

Yahya says, but that’s not how I want you to love me. Elvan warns Yahya, if we keep talking, you will get hurt. Desperate Yahya asks her, teach me. Teach me to be the kind of man you want, so that you love me. Show me what I must do to make you fall in love, Elvan. Elvan tells him it doesn't work like that, there are no steps to follow. There are no secrets, no justice, no conscience, no spirit, or anything like that— it just happens.

Elvan continues, you know what love is when you look a person in the eyes and in that moment, even if the world collapsed, you would not realize anything. [We see a flashback to when Elvan saw Yahya and Dudu together.] You don't have to do anything else because only love arises. There is nothing you can do to not feel it. It just happens like that, Yahya, because love can't be forced. If it didn't happen in five years, it won't ever happen, Yahya.

Yahya thinks it can happen and he won’t permit her to divorce. Sancar comes in with Nare and orders Yahya to get out. Yahya is firm in his response, Sancar, I'm not getting divorced even if you hit me or shoot me. I’ll make that clear to everyone. He goes outside.

Nare asks Elvan if she is okay. Elvan smiles bravely and says, but if we wait longer, they won't be able to ask for your hand and Sancar is going to kill us all. Come on.

Embajador S2 #37 part 6

Coffee has been served and it is time. Halise says, we have all come for a reason. She defers to Feride and she replies she is listening. Halise starts, [Turkish], by the law of Allah, and the will of the prophet, we ask the hand of your daughter, Nare, for my son, Sancar. Are you giving, she asks Feride?

Sancar laughs nervously. Feride puts her coffee down and makes everyone wait for her answer. Finally she says, I don’t Everyone gasps. Stunned looks. What? Melek asks, why? So does everyone else. Kavruk laughs.

Melek asks why again. Sancar asks, too. Nare and Elvan start laughing. Halise reminds Feride they spoke about this. I was going to ask your consent and you were going to say yes. Feride replies, I said you could ask, but not that I would accept. Halise gasps. Feride adds, I never promised to say yes.

Sancar can’t believe this. Feride says, pay attention and listen well. Do you think I would approve of a scoundrel like your son? Sancar boldly states, I'm going to take her. Feride puts her hand out, don't you dare! Halise gasps again.

Sancar asks Nare to say something. Nare asks Feride, why don't you give your approval to Sancar? He is the man I love. Feride tells her, you don't know what you want, believe me. [she could be right] The woman next to you (Elvan) married that infeliz (Yahya) and later he found out what he was like. He’s done nothing to be a good husband. Feride tells Nare to separate from Sancar. Stay with the girls, I mean it. Halise gasps once again.

Sancar thanks his hala for ruining the moment. He directs his mother to ask Kavruk. Halise says, no, what are you talking about? What is Kavruk’s value that I should ask him? Halise rethinks how she said this, uh ... it's because--it must be someone older. Kavruk agrees, you are right. It must be so. He adds, and, if you ask me-- I don't approve of it either. Everyone laughs except Sancar and Halise. Kavruk says well, we are her (Nare’s) family.

Sancar makes his stand. Enough is enough. I am not leaving here tonight without someone's approval.…. He looks at Nare...my love... He looks very determined.

Meanwhile Meanie and mom are outside Nare’s door. Atike gets to work while useless Meanie pines away with her ear to the door.

And we are out.

I was really glad that the intruder at Helena's turned out to be Hector. I was sure that the gangsters were carrying out some type of revenge. I was also surprised by Helena's big reveal to Hector Spanprof. I guess it's not so much that she was chubby, but rather a plea not to get hurt. She really has some self esteem issues if she's worried about Patricia's looks. Helena is also very successful and classy. Diana, you're not a bad person for not caring that Guillermo is getting robbed. Ha. He deserves it. But seriously, Enrique better take extreme caution. Money isn't what makes Guillermo who he is. It's brains, connections, and ruthlessness. With or without his wealth, he could probably destroy Enrique with just one phone call. He doesn't seem like the type to take betrayal lying down either. I agree that it's time for Valentina to start to get some distance between herself and Ricardo. He didn't die after all. Time to move on.

Your comments on Guillermo were insightful and spot on JoelD. "Ruthless" was perfect and to be honest, I can't see beyond that. Any kindness is invisible to me if it does indeed exist.

That said, "She really has some self esteem issues if she's worried about Patricia's looks" had me laughing and nodding my head in vigorous agreement. Helena is beguilingly beautiful yet she fails to see herself as she truly is.

Dondi, I just don't know how you keep turning out these excellent recaps of all the drama. Thank you.

Is the custom of the whole fami!y asking for the hand still practiced in Turkey ? What is the significance of the bride serving coffee with sa!t to her intended ? It made me think of my mother in law telling me that when she was first married, she accidentally made a blueberry pie with salt instead of sugar.

It was sweet seeing San squirm when Feride refused her blessing of his asking for Nare' s hand . My favorite part is always sweet Melek's relentless hope that she, San, and Nare will be a family. She never gives up her dream no matter what the crazy adults around her do.

And the boots ...Nare seems to think boots are appropriate for every occasion. I thought the dress was a little young ..and short . None of the other young women dress like Nare. Nare is an influencer. The other women dress very matronly. I love watching Elban suddn!y take off running in her practical high heels and Donna Reed dresses.

I still don't get how Nare considers snarky Sahra her bff...I thought that was Elban who has protected and supported Nare at every turn. I am surprised that clever, discerning Elban hasn't detected that there is something off about Sahra, especially after the food poisoning thing.

Gediz and Sahra deserve each other . ..and big anvils ..stand close together , guys.

Meanie has gone over the edge . The previews looked like more twists are coming .

How long before Kman figures out what the plan is for his spawn ?. If he does find out, will be go along with it because he has told Cey that he doesn't wAnt a baby?

Am I the only one who is getting more irritated every time SerJerk blames Alicia for anything and everything that goes wrong? It sounds like he has taken no responsibility for anything with his children their entire lives. They're just props to him. I'm prepared for a maor blowup between him and Yuri in tonight's episode because she canceled the wedding.

Luna and her mother are in for some very serious heartache within the next few episodes. Quique is a sociopath who needs to be in the slammer. Next to Samuel.

I can't wait until Alicia is no longer a Stepford wife.

I suppose there are still people who follow these engagement traditions in Turkey. The bride prepares and serves the Turkish coffee to prove her “skills”. She puts salt in the groom’s coffee as a test of his worthiness. If he drinks it without complaint, he passes the “test”.

Ay, those boots. I never cared for the way Nare dressed, especially those boots. Remember the locals are conservative people so they dress conservatively. “Donna Reed dresses” is a great way to describe Elvan’s wardrobe.

I guess that Nare and Elvan trust Sahra because she’s a doctor. And because she helped Sancar.

Super job, Dondi. Nare and Sancar were so cute, smiling at each other like kids. I thought Nare dressed pretty well, until she stood up and I saw how short her dress was and how straight and long her white boots were. Yes, this is her worst yet. Maybe Zahra helped her pick out the outfit? Yes, that Nare would feel so close to Zahra is just dumb. I blame the writers.


 

DEJAN EPISODE 31 Rivalries and Revenge Part 1

Previously: The police ransack Marcela’s home looking for evidence and for Quique. As a frightened Marcela hugs Luna closely, a stern Karina urges Marcela to have her son turn himself in. Yuri is denied admission to see Cholo whose mind is poisoned with thoughts of being used. Fedora seemingly has a death wish as she leaves the cocoon of safety at Alicia’s for her apartment. As expected, Samuel sidles up to her with a maniacal expression as she reels in horror. Martin makes work a second, distant priority as he helps Alicia find Miranda.

Alicia and Miranda return home to great relief. Alicia assures Sergio that Miranda is perfectly fine. As Martin comes into view, Sergio’s expression subtly changes to one of quiet anger as the two men return each other’s level stare. Culebra takes this in and gulps realizing all is not well.

Sergio raves about Martin being with Alicia as she reminds him she is his ex. Sergio wants a concrete answer but refuses to listen when Martin tries to interject, ordering him to leave. Miranda tries to help but Sergio dismisses her saying he will deal with her later. After more back and forth, Sergio notices Culebra and hones in on him accusing him of kidnapping Miranda! Eva tells him to calm down, the important thing is that Miranda is safe. Martin again states that he will leave but Alicia asks him to stay. It finally dawns on Sergio that Martin didn’t show up at work because he was with Alicia. Martin explains that he was helping a desperate mother who was looking for her daughter. Alicia adds that if it weren’t for Martin, Miranda would not be there. Instead of chastising him, Sergio should be thanking him. Martin is assured by both Alicia and Miranda that they are very grateful for his help. Martin bids them good night and takes his leave.

We are sadly privy to horrendous abuse as Samuel grabs Fedora’s wrist, twisting it as her face blanches in pain. As she runs, he chases her down and drags her across the floor by the hair. A distraught, terrified Fedora pleads with Samuel, asking what he wants from her. Samuel wants her to retract the complaint she lodged against him.

Yuri is not taking rejection at the jail lightly, arguing that she has every right to see Cholo. The female guard reads the order that specifically names her as being forbidden from seeing Cholo...as dictated by the attorney in charge. Yuri is devastated.

Sergio is still attacking Alicia, incessantly asking why she was with Martin. Alicia once again defends herself by wielding her strongest weapon, Sergio’s three years of unfaithfulness. Alicia reiterates she owes Sergio no explanation – Martin helped find Miranda and the only thing Sergio should be concerned about is that Miranda is safe.

DEJAN EPISODE 31 Rivalries and Revenge Part 2

Yaya is overjoyed to see Miranda and envelops her in a huge hug, momentarily easing the tension. Miranda grabs Culebra’s hand and they take off with Yaya.

Marcela argues with Quique, chiding him for stealing. She tells him he is exactly like his father as he shuts the door in her face.

Karina and Carlota run into each other at the police station (along with the policeman who was so rude and offensive when Fedora filed her report). Karina greets her pleasantly and is glad Carlota came for her things. She asks Karina what she meant when she said that Carlota would be surprised about the woman Martin is interested in. Karina would only say that it is an older woman. Carlota looks thoughtful.

Fresh from a soothing shower, clad in a fluffy, comfortable robe, Alicia recalls her kiss with Martin as the theme music swells. She caresses her cheek and smiles.

In the kitchen, Yaya serves Miranda and Culebra what looks like a delicious snack and iced cold drink. Culebra admits he is impressed with the house and wonders why she would want to leave. Miranda smiles sweetly and admits that the best part of her escape was being with him.

Martin brings the long-suffering Diablo up to date. Martin tries to justify his helping Alicia and admits Sergio was none too pleased. Diablo’s warning falls (again) on deaf ears. Martin is sure Alicia got questioned after he left.

Emiliano is Sergio’s whipping post today and bears the brunt of Sergio’s screaming and anger as he packs is suitcase. As the chauffeur, Emiliano asks where Sergio is going but even this rational question is met with yelling. He will be going to Julieta’s.

Lorena tries to engage Gonzalo in conversation, intuitively sensing something is wrong. Although he insists there isn’t, his face gives him away. Lorena easily sees through this – after all, Gonzalo is a horrible liar.

Fedora is paralyzed with fear as she and Samuel talk. She admits her ex-husbands had many shortcomings but none of them abused her physically. Samuel admits he has a problem but insists it wasn’t so bad that she had to file a complaint. Fedora agrees as viewerville prays she is doing to only so that he will leave, which he finally does.

Yuri confronts the lawyer at her firm who supposedly replaced her on Cholo’s case. He tells her that Moises has now taken over the case.

Moises tells the wedding planner that things are serious...Yuri doesn’t love him. Adding insult to injury, she smirks broadly murmuring that there must be someone else. Yuri walks in and the planner leaves. Chow...

Cholo begs the other prisoners for his cell. He negotiates to at least be allowed to use the phone for one phone call.

DEJAN EPISODE 31 Rivalries and Revenge Part 3

Julieta is arranging flowers when the police arrive. Their stern countenance leave no doubt this is not a social call but a serious matter. Julieta needs to answer for being under the influence when she crashed the car. She tries to intimidate by threatening to go to the media but no dice. The subpoena has been served.

Yuri confronts Moises. Moises lies through his teeth as he explains why he took the case. Yuri also asks why he ordered that she not be allowed to see Cholo. When she explains why she wanted to see Cholo (a half- truth at best) —to tell him she would no longer be his lawyer, Moises tells her that he will give him the message.

Miranda introduces Benito to Culebra. He thanks Alicia and Miranda sees him out. Benito gets a smile from Alicia.

Sergio is out of control, screaming at and then talking with Fabian.

A very upset Karina knocks on Martin’s door, telling him it’s important. Although he looks like he would prefer to bar the door, Martin does open it with obvious reluctance. Karina asks if “that woman” is the one he wants to replace her with?? Are you crazy or what!!! Nelson looks on, mouth agape. Martin tells Karina that he doesn’t need to explain anything he does. Karina callously wonders if this is part of a bet...the woman could be his mother!!! Won’t he be embarrassed to be with her and have his family find out?? Martin refuses to allow Karina to talk like that about a woman she doesn't even know. My question to viewerville: Is Karina becoming slightly unhinged? She is more than proprietary toward Martin, now seemingly obsessed and overly possessive. Her jealousy is inflammatory.

Sergio and Emiliano are having a hell ride. Sergio mentally replays Martin’s appearance in the house. Sergio tells Julieta that before he goes to her house, he has something to deal with. Sensing something is amiss, Julieta advises him to be careful (alluding to his treatment of her). Sergio advises Emiliano not to get married.

Miranda and Alicia have a sweet scene together. Alicia kicks off her shoes and she and Miranda lie in bed, Miranda’s head gently cradled on Alicia’s shoulder. Miranda affirms Culebra is only a friend but asks her mother if she and Martin are only friends. They decide to respect each other’s privacy. Alicia then asks about Miranda changing school’s but Miranda thinks that won’t solve her problems.

Yuri daydreams of her kiss with Cholo. The phone rings and she answers delightedly but her smile quickly fades. Cholo accuses Yuri of playing with his feelings...was it just a brief fling he asks with tears in his eyes. He wishes her all the best for her wedding. She begs Cholo to let her explain but he tells her “until never” and hangs up.

Fedora tries to justify going back to her house. Alicia reassures Fedora that this is her house if she wishes. When Alicia asks if Samuel showed up, Fedora denies it!! Rebecca joins her amigas as Alicia tells them that Martin helped her find Miranda. They are not alone as Eva lurks in the background. Alicia confides to her friends that she kissed Martin. She is glowing as Fedora and Rebecca revel in her happiness. Hugs all around.

DEJAN EPISODE 31 Rivalries and Revenge Part 4 (Last)

As her overt eavesdropping netted her nothing, Eva slithers into Miranda’s room on the pretense of giving her a beverage. She first tells her granddaughter that Alicia is in no position to be having a new “friend”. Eva then tries to get info about what Alicia was doing with Martin in the first place. She keeps taking Miranda’s phone from her but to no avail. Eva left with no more information than that which she had when she entered.

At the foundation Mercedes tries to get Lucas’ attention as he talks on the phone. Sergio arrives to talk. We later see him asking about progress on the operation and learn only about the rest of the conversation in a later scene.

Yuri tells Chela about Moises taking over the case. She is worried about what Cholo must be thinking! Chela thinks that fate is telling her that she should forget about Cholo. Yuri is not convinced.

Cholo returns the cell to the other inmates, throwing it down rather forcefully. Cholo wants nothing to do with that woman...ever again!

Facundo and Martin have a father son chat. Facundo cannot help but notice Martin’s broad smile and asks why Martin is so happy – is it a woman? I believe he asks if it is Karina to which Martin says no. Martin admits that there is a woman but there are technicalities. Facundo assumes that the woman is married and Martin admits it but adds that she is getting a divorce. Facundo isn’t too keen on the idea and suggest he focus on someone else...like Carlota.

Sofia wonders again about her father’s love life.

Alicia calls Carlota, asking to move up her appointment since there has been so much happening, ...including things that make her smile. Carlota assumes that she met someone so Alicia will tell her about it when she sees her.

Lorena brings Gonzo to her (beautiful) apartment. She gifts him a lovely surprise. It is icing tips along with her grandmother’s prize recipe for carrot cake. When Lorena gets close, Gonzo nervously thinks it’s time that they leave. Lorena does not share his sentiments and thinks it’s time that they take it to the next level...and leads him to her room.

Sergio, shaken and stirred, arrives at Julieta’s.

At the Foundation, Alicia excitedly tells Lucas that she just got a huge donation. Lucas stares sternly, directing her to give him the contact for the sponsors. Further she must leave the foundation right now. The order comes directly from Sergio. As of today, she has been fired as director of the foundation...if she does not leave immediately, the police will be called!

And there we end.

Samuel is one sick puppy but does have Fedora between a rock and a hard place. I wonder if she will go through with withdrawing the complaint as she agreed to. If she does not withdraw her complaint, she will have to have to warn Gonzo and eventually Alicia will find out.

Ha! Julieta has been served no matter how she tried to avoid it. Will she show up or be arrested? I would love to see the latter.

Yes, Eva “slithered” into Miranda’s room but to no avail. I was so happy that Miranda wasn’t talking..

Poor Emiliano on that “hell ride” as Diana so aptly described it.

Karina is getting more inappropriate by the minute asking who that old lady that Martín was with was. I couldn’t believe her language and her nerve in questioning Martín. She does seem to have gone around the bend. Even Nelson gave her the “look”.

The worst part of Alicia being disassociated from the foundation was that Lucas got the satisfaction of telling her.

Can’t wait for Alicia’s next therapy session.

Adelaida and Guillermo are breakfasting in the garden. He's thinking about taking Nora on a trip to Europe. He saw how much she wanted to go to Madrid. He says since Adelaida doesn't want to go with him, he might have to take Rosa Maria. She's you're doctor, says Adelaida. I won't do anything she doesn't want., Gullermo says. That's never happened to any woman. Like with María Amparo, Nora's mother. Speaking of Nora, Adelaida asks, how is it going with getting her name changed to Nora Vargas? Humberto thinks it will take about 20 days when Guillermo calls him to ask. I'll give you one week, Guillermo demands. I need the credit cards in her name as well.

In his office, Enrique doesn't think that Guilleremo suspects how he infiltrated his security system. I'll be able to hear all the conversations of the staff, he tells himself, staring at a split screen of workers at four places in the office. You're not going to hide any more secrets from me, Guillermo. And when you're here Patricia, you will also hide nothing from me, he says laying his spypad (ipad) on his desk.

Majo gets up from her sewing machine and runs to tell Helena that Francesco, the owner of just fashion.com has entered the studio. What's he doing here?, wonders Majo. I'm going to find out, Helena replies. She introduces herself and Francesco says he's heard marvelous things about her work. He's interested in doing business with her firm. Helena invites him to the office to hear his proposal.

Camila is helping Ricardo put on his Jacket in his hospital room. He says he can leave as soon as Rosa Maria discharges him. RM introduces doctora Blanca Cristina. You're taking me to a padded cell?, he asks. Ricardo, you interrupted a wedding and got beat up by the novio, Blanca Cristina says. You still haven't recovered from the plane crash. Camila acts frightened and Rosa Maria explains that she was in the same accident as Ricardo. In that case, I'd like to invite both of you to therapy, says Blanca Cristina. If Ricardo doesn't agree to regular therapy he won't be discharged. It's my decision, he says. I'll let you know.

Nora is being read the riot act in Yolanda's office. Dear, I hope this is the last time you act so irresponsibly, Yolanda tells her. Don't forget that we have a signed contract and that if you want to shine in the world of modeling you have to make a lot of sacrifices. And in case you don't know it, adds Beba, Johnny is one of the most important choreographers in Latin America. And unfortunately, you stood him up, says Yolanda. Leonardo sends Uriel the fashion photographer to listen in on Helena's conversation with Francesco. She says his social networks plan for her designs is very strong and creative. She likes the slogan: "Exclusive fashion at your fingertips" Give me a few days to think about it, she proposes. I'll await your call, he says and leaves. Claudio thinks the offer is too good to be true. Fracesco's profit margin seems too small. You better study it closely and check with other firms. This deal could get us out of our sinking finances, Helena thinks. Yes, says Claudio, but if something goes wrong, it could be the end of Helena Vargas fashions.

When Hector pulls into the cab stand it looks like Luna is dancing the reguetón. Great show!, he says. She has a job for him and hops in the cab to kid around. She can't believe he answers when Patricia calls. Pat's at the office and needs to get to an appointment. She says she's afraid because she got another threatening message from the guys at the bar the other night. Hector tells Luna that someone is threatening him and Pat. Somehow they took a video from an angle that made them look like novios. He shows Luna the video and says if Helena sees it she'll kill him. You better take the job I'm giving you, and tell Patricia you don't have time for her, Luna advises. She pays well, Hector rationalizes. Later, Pat tells Hector that she's grateful to him for taking her to her appointment. She tries to kiss him but he moves his head to avoid it. Wow, she got upset, he tells himself when she gets out of the cab.

Officer Curi comes to Horacio's booth at the market. On this occasion, I'm bringing bad news, he says. They let Brochas and Regino out yesterday afternoon. And they haven't caught "El Mosquito". Meanwhile, Brochas and another thug are trying to figure out how to break into Horacio's house without him realizing it. They want to find the room the boss told them about. Brochas uses a lock pick to try to get in. Consuelo sees them as she walks Mina home from school. Hey, Brochas!, Perro!, what are you doing?, she yells. They take off running. Horacio shows up and she fills him in. Let's check your house to see if they did anything there, he says.

Valentina checks her computer and asks Leonardo what happened to the shipment to Miami. It didn't arrive and never left the airport. There must have been a mistake with the order, Leo says. Can you please check on it?, asks Val. It gets awkward when she tries to get by Claudio. Don't laugh, Claudio tells, Leonardo. Better get on it if you don't want Helena here looking for answers. I'll be in my office. Uriel fills in Leo on what he heard in Helena's office. So, the one we need to convince to get the contract signed is Claudio, says Leonardo.

Guillermo shows up to Rosa Maria's office to invite her to dinner. What are you doing here?, she asks. We agreed to see each other tomorrow. I'll accept but I can't leave. What could be healthier than eating in a hospital?, he asks. Yum. Samara comes in saying, here is the phone number for that handsome Claudio. Why do you want his number?, Guillermo asks Rosa Maria. I need an accountant, she says. I can recommend someone, he says, although they're not as handsome as Claudio. I'll wait in the restaurant and he's really not that handsome. Why did you make up that story about hiring Claudio?, asks Samara. Why didn't you say you wanted to be with him? I didn't make up anything. It's a way to get close to him. On the other hand, Guillermo is everything a woman could want.

Two government agents show up at the orphanage, asking for Valentina's address. The madre isn't crazy about giving it to them. We lost contact with her, she lies.

Enrique calls Cibernético. He needs to hide some transactions he just did on Guillermo's computer. And by transactions you mean stealing money, Ciber responds. I can do it for the right price. They agree on 10%. I'll use a worm so the transactions can't be traced but it will only last for a few weeks.

Leonardo calls Yolanda to tell her that Helena is about to bite the dust and the only obstacle, like always, is Claudio. I'll try to convince him it's best for Helena. When she signs that contract she'll be signing her own death sentence.

Claudio tells Helena that he doesn't want to keep working there. It's harder than he thought to share the same space with Valentina. He promises Helena that she can always count on him but he can't stay. You're the best lawyer, Val says. You're the best accountant. You can't go. You can't leave Helena. I'd like to tell you I'm happy here but I'm not, he says, I'm sorry. Val asks if she can leave early to find a place to rent. Why not stay at my place?, Helena offers. Val is grateful, but says she has to resolve things by herself. Helena pulls a name tag from a drawer. Starting today, you're going to be my principal designer, she says. You're the best designer I know, says Valentina. I want to be like you. And I want to be like my mother, Helena says. Later Claudio makes it clear that he's moving on without Valentina.

Camila confesses her feelings for Ricardo and they almost kiss but are interrupted. Oh Camila, he thinks, after she leaves. I can't love you. At least until Valentina signs the account over to me and I can get out of this place.

Patricia is clearly upset when she comes to Yolanda's office. I hate Helena, she says. What does Hector see in her? Really, what does she have that I don't have? Maybe I'm not pretty? You're spectacular, Yolanda assures her. Any man would go crazy to be with you. Tell me, why do you want Hector? Because my whole life I heard the same thing, she says. Patricia do this. Don't do that. My father didn't let me be with Enrique because he wasn't in the same class as we were. He forced me to marry Alfonso so that Guillermo would be his partner. After the accident Enrique betrayed me. He helped Guillermo take averything from me. Hector doesn't want to use me. He doesn't want anything from me. He's different.

Patricia calls Hector and asks him to pick her up that evening. She's afraid the threats could be real. He says he can't. He's having dinner with Helena and has class later. You have to be much more forceful, Yolanda says when Pat hangs up. You need something extreme. If he thinks he might lose you, he'll value you more. You'll see.

Rosa Maria tells Guillermo that he needs to avoid strong emotions and asks if he would consider therapy. No, he says. Therapy is for the weak. No, RM says, try to understand. What happened at your house at dinner the other day... I think you need to talk to someone about the subject of Helena. No, Guillermo says, looking ill. Helena is a liar. There is nothing more to say. Are you OK?, RM asks. The topic of Helena always affects you badly. As you're doctor, I'm prescribing therapy for you. It's not an option. It's a doctor's order.

Horacio and Consuelo have a heated argument in her kitchen. I've asked you 1000 times not to get involved with those guys, she says. If something happened to Mina I would never forgive you. What do you want me to do?, he asks. You want me to let them keep charging people money for protection? I don't know, Connie says, but I don't want anyrthing to happen to us. Well, it's my barrio, Horacio says. And I'm going to protect my people, with my life, if necessary. Don't say that Horacio, says Connie. Don't you know that if something were to happen to you I would die? I would die because I love you. The room goes dead silent. Did I hear that, or did I just think it?, he asks. Did you say that you love me? Yes, Connie says, and they kiss.

Serg is now having an escalating hissy fit as his perfect world of having it all unravels. Ha. Yay.

I used to feel Sorry for Karina having to endure smarmy Mig harassing her , but now she seems to be doing the same thing to Martin. I am beginning to wonder if Karina and Martin were sleeping together , and Martin considered it friends with benefits and Karina thought it was serious . She was so rude speaking about Alicia . Alicia is beautiful and poised . Karina is muy celosa.

Sleeping together consensually will only work if both parties are on the same page as to what the relationship means. Or doesn't mean. Obvio, that did not happen here.

Diana, thank you for the 5-star recap…if I could give you more stars, I would definitely give them to you; I am always left in awe of your writing. And I agree with Jarifa, that quote is perfect...and a keeper!

Glad to see Miranada is getting the type of attention she so desperately needs…from Culebra and Alicia. She looks so much better when she smiles :-)

Jarifa, I also agree that Fedora is between a rock and a hard place, but she put herself in that predicament. She knew very well that Samuel would return and she didn’t even think about changing the locks or at least barricading the door. Of course with all those floor-to-ceiling windows, he could just break in. I truly hope that she only agreed to drop the compliant to buy herself some time.

I had to laugh at Eva….she made no headway in her quest for info. Yay, for Miranda!!

So Claudio is taking drastic measures. I like Claudio but think he is being a bit overly dramatic. I am sure Valentina will not put Ricardo first again. It's not too late to fix things. Unless of course the hot doc moves in like lightening to stake her claim.

So happy the good madre lied! A venial sin mother and worth a few Hail Mary's at best.

The law is closing in on Valentina, Patricia on Hector, Yolanda on Helena and the doc on Claudio. Too close for comfort.

I'd be happier for Consuelo if Horacio hadn't been kind of a jerk recently...

TU AMOR. Another great recap, JoelD! Thanks for the info on regueton. Over and beyond! Thank goodness the online site was working again. I would hate to have to choose between Tuesday's novela chapter and zumba! It seems to me that Claudio is given to a form of "mansplaining." He tells Val what her motivations were and doesn't believe her when she tells him what they really were. Nora is certainly taking advantage of Humberto. Maybe it's not such a good idea to put credit cards in her name. Oh oh! Are those government agents there about Val's name on the bank documents for those embezzled funds? Ricardo doesn't seem to realize that it's too late to get Val's signature to get access to the bank funds. Again, Helena is such a great boss! And it was so cool that Val was promoted! Claudio is so right that Francesco's offer is too good to be true. I hope he prevails. And I can't believe that Helena still trusts Leo with anything.

She had the intelligence to go to Alicia's but left! Why?? I'd rather face Gonzalo than a stark raving mad maniacal Samuel! She is not only putting herself in danger but Gonzalo as well. How will she explain this to Alicia if heaven forbid, anything were to happen??

I think Sergio fired Alicia out of anger because of Martin. I don't think he would have taken so drastic a measure if he really wanted Alicia back. I think it's starting to set in that Alicia is never going back to him. Psycho is right!!

"Glad to see Miranada is getting the type of attention she so desperately needs…from Culebra and Alicia" was perfect. I am so happy she and her mother are back on track.

Yay! A couple of my meetings got canceled, so here's your recap!

Sancar’s not leaving until he gets his bride.

Sancar looks at his daughter and she gives him a nod. He goes to her and kneels before her. He looks over at Nare and says, [Turkish] you know how much I love your mother. He looks at Melek and says, and I can’t live without you. Now, I want to ask you, Melek, by the order of Allah, and the will of the Prophet, I ask you for your mother’s hand. Will you give me your mother? Melek answers, of course, I give her.

Sancar Efe raises his arms in the air, thank you! And everyone applauds and shouts their congratulations, except Feride. Sancar hugs and kisses his daughter. Sancar says, I have my bride, and Nare and Sancar embrace to more applause. He kisses her forehead. This is a very joyful moment for most of the guests, it’s a little bittersweet for Elvan and Yahya.

Anyone remember when Fatmagül and Kerim sang this song at a dinner party? That was a lovely scene.

Montage: Halise places the rings with the ribbon on Nare’s and Sancar’s fingers. Melek cuts the ribbon. The miserable Meanie is still leaning against Nare’s door. Traitorous Gediz is writing out checks against the Sadiclar account.

Sancar goes over to Feride. You didn’t give me your consent but let me kiss your hand. She struggles with him but he manages to do it.

There’s a knock at the door and Sancar goes to answer. Nare follows. It’s teary Meanie and she brings the celebration to a crashing halt. What are you doing here, Sancar asks? I’ll answer the question you ask my brother so much, Meanie says, I’m sure you are wondering, why now. It’s my wedding gift, Meanie says, looking at Nare. She tells Sancar, it’s good news. We are going to have a boy. He stands there stunned. Her words echo in his head. Meanie turns and goes, the damage done. This is painful for Nare, but she manages to tell Sancar, congratulations.

Sancar hugs Nare as if to console her. He looks at his smiling daughter. She is smiling, she comes running and joins their hug.

Next morning, we see Sancar sitting beside Melek’s bed watching Nare and Melek sleeping together. Nare wakes and asks him, when did you get here? He tells her, I took everyone back to the mansion and returned. Did you spend the night here, she asks? He did. He spent the night watching them sleep.

He is concerned. He tells Nare, yell, say something, anything. I made you suffer too much already. Don’t hide what you feel. Nare gets out of bed, takes Sancar by the hand, and tells him to come with her. They go outside and sit on the patio. She puts his arm around her and snuggles up to him.

He’s smiling but that smile fades quickly when she starts talking. You cheated on me before, she tells him, you’ve been with another woman and every time I think about it I feel bad. I can’t explain how much it hurts that you are going to have a child with someone else. Sometimes I feel like can’t even breathe. Sancar is upset; it’s what he was dreading to hear from Nare.

She lifts her head, looks at him and continues, but I’ll learn to love this pain I feel… because it will be a part of you. That child will be Melek’s brother. He’s a baby, he’s innocent. I don’t know what he will call me when he grows up, but he will call you dad and he will call Melek, sister. He might even take his first steps towards her.

Embajador S2 #38 part 2

Sancar is relieved to hear this, he says, my love…. Nare wipes Sancar’s tears and kisses him on the lips. She tells him, forget your doubts. I broke my oath and you sacrificed your life for me. You freed the alaca kuş. You have given everything for my wellbeing. You rewrote the story. From now on, no matter what happens, I’m going to be by your side. Nothing will keep us apart. Do you understand, Sancar?

He pulls her in, holds her tight and tells her, I love you so much, I adore you, I love you. But she has a strange look on her face. She suddenly says, let’s do it. She lifts her head and says, I don’t want to wait any longer. Let’s pick a date. Sancar smiles and laughs, really? Yes. They kiss. [real uncensored kisses, yes!] And they kiss until Elvan comes out and tells them, you shouldn’t be doing that. [wtf, Elvan.] Elvan puts her sleep mask over her eyes and stumbles back inside. Sancar and Nare hold onto each other and laugh.

Dudu shows up at Nare’s. She runs to hide when Sancar and Nare come out of the yard. Sancar leaves and Dudu comes out of her hiding spot. Nare warns her, if you don’t leave… Dudu interrupts, you want Elvan to get divorced immediately, right?
Cut to Elvan standing before the mirror putting on earrings. Nare asks her, are you sure you want to talk to her? Of course, Elvan answers, I need to know how I can divorce Yahya quickly.

Elvan goes out in the yard and faces Dudu. It’s tense. I’m listening, Elvan says. Dudu tries to start with an apology, but Elvan shuts that down and asks, how do I separate, tell me. Dudu replies, you don’t want to tell that you know Yahya cheated on you. Gulsiye threatened me about this before. But you have no other option, Dudu says, I am your only choice. Elvan realizes that Dudu has her own agenda. She asks Dudu, [Turkish] you want the divorce as quickly as possible so you can become a DIL in the mansion, right? Fine, Elvan says, just tell me what to do.

Dudu relates, the night Melek went to the hospital, during the henna ceremony, Menekse made us confess and she recorded it. You can hear Yahya and I admit we slept together. Elvan calls them garbage, and tells Dudu to get out. Nare shows Dudu out. Elvan is devastated. Elvan says, I need her to give me that recording.

Uni cut a scene here: Loki shows up at the mansion. He’s drunk and asks Kavruk for Meanie’s address. Kavruk doesn’t tell him and sends him away with a warning not to mess with Meanie. As Loki drives off, he sees the Barnacle Family arriving in Necdet’s bus. Later we see Loki following them home.

The Barnacle Family storm the mansion. Meanie asks Gulsiye for Halise’s whereabouts. Necdet halts to flirt with Gulsiye but Meanie puts a stop to that. They are on a mission. The Barnacles head out on the balcony to speak to Halise. Feride and Refika are there, too.

Atike says they are there to get the ultrasound machine. Meanie laments that everyone is talking about Nare and Sancar getting married. She can’t go out to see her doctor. They talk about me behind my back, she says. [Boo, fricken, hoo, Meanie] Halise retorts, at least they don’t talk about you poisoning your stepdaughter because you wanted to murder her. It could be a lot worse. Meanie sends her family off to get the machine and complete their mission.

Feride takes a good look at Meanie and asks her how many months pregnant are you? Seven. Feride asks Meanie to turn around and then comments, you have the ankles of a teenager. They are not swollen, that is so strange. Halise and Refika take a look, too. Hmm…. Meanie gives a weak smile and says nothing.

Necdet goes to get the machine while Atike hurries into Sancar’s room and sews that sorcerers spell into one of his jackets.

Embajador S2 #38 part 3

Sancar comes home and Gulsiye informs him that the Barnacles are here. Angry Sancar flings the mansion door open and sees Meanie coming up the stairs. He confronts her, why are you here?!

Necdet comes out of the bedroom with the machine. Sancar looks puzzled and a little suspicious. There are nervous looks between Meanie and Necdet. Did Atike finish her task? Atike comes out behind Necdet and Meanie looks relieved. Their mission has been finished. Sancar asks, what are you doing? Meanie replies, I want to see my son day and night, Sancar. Will you deny me? The Barnacle Family leaves.

Elvan calls Gulsiye to ask, is it true that Menekse has a recording of Yahya and Dudu? Gulsiye is reluctant to tell at first but then confirms and Elvan quickly hangs up on her. Elvan tells Nare she’s going to go to Meanie’s house. I’ll do whatever it takes to get it. Nare won’t let her go alone, she will go with her.

Sancar changes into the spell jacket. Gulsiye comes running into the mansion and tells him that Elvan is on her way to Meanie’s.

So now everyone is headed to Meanie’s.

The Barnacles arrive home and head up to the house. Loki pulls up behind the bus. He brandishes his knife and shouts, Menekse, I told you that I would kill you! He runs towards her. He stabs Necdet in the arm and easily gets him out of the way.

Loki grabs Meanie outside her door. She begins to plead, no Loki, what are you doing? No, please don’t do anything to me, please, don’t hurt me, she gasps. Loki replies, what did I do to you, Menekse? All I’ve ever done is love you. Loki plunges his knife into Meanie and she lets out a big gasp.

Loki pulls out the blade and it’s clean! He stabbed her fake belly. He is stunned and then says, you’re not even pregnant… you are bad, Menekse, you fooled everyone. You are the worst. [he called her Satan in the Turkish.] He stabs her fake belly a few more times and Sahra comes out of nowhere and slits Loki’s throat! Meanie faints and everyone else stands in shocked silence.

Sancar arrives at Meanie’s. When he walks up to the house, he freezes and stares. He sees Meanie on the ground next to a pool of blood and Atike kneeling next to her. My son… he says. We see Kman peeking around the corner of the house and he’s holding a bloody blade. Sancar rushes Kman and shouts, what did you do?! What did you do?! Sancar grabs the blade from Kman and is ready to strike. Kman shouts, she’s unconscious! She passed out! Look, I didn’t do it. Sancar has Kman by the throat and looks at Meanie.

Kman explains further, I was able to get there in time and I killed him. He points to Loki’s body in the doorway. I killed him. Sancar is trying to process this. Atike assure Sancar that Meanie has only fainted and she will be fine. She covers Meanie’s fake pregnancy with her scarf.

Embajador S2 #38 part 4

We go back ten minute earlier:

Kman shows up at Meanie’s. Only Sahra and Ceylan are home. He sees Sahra’s bags are packed and asks if she is escaping. Did I catch you before you left, he asks? Sahra replies, I was expecting you, and if you can find me, Sancar can, too. I can explain it to you Kahraman but I can’t explain it to him, right? Kman looks at Ceylan and then asks Sahra, what are you doing, what’s your plan?

No time for an answer because they are interrupted by the commotion outside with Loki. Sahra grabs a scalpel, runs out and slits Loki’s throat. Quick thinking Kman takes out his phone to record. Sahra checks Meanie. She just passed out, her fake belly saved her. Kman is shocked--what? Sahra says we were going to tell you. Ceylan shakes her head, no.

Sahra tells Kman to hide the body and then she will tell him. Kman’s mind is blown. He asks Sahra, are you a psycho? Sahra says to hurry before someone sees and Necdet drags Loki into the doorway. Sahra sees Sancar arrive and she puts the blade in Kman’s hand. End flashback.

Kman tells Sancar, Loki was going to kill Menekse, so I cut his carotid. We must take Menekse inside and then clean up the blood. I will explain more later. Sancar is still trying to process what has happened. He looks at Menekse, he looks at Loki’s body, he looks at Kman. Sancar drops the blade he was holding. Sancar kneels beside Meanie.

Nare and Elvan arrive—just in time for Nare to see Sancar lifting Meanie.

And we are out.

SpanProf. I'm glad you mentioned Humberto. Nora is piling so much work on him that I don't think he's able to finish the assignment's that Guillermo is giving him. That's not going to be good for his career. And she tells him that maybe they can go out for a little coffee? He might need it after working all night. I don't understand why Uriel spies for Leonardo either Diana. During fashion week Uriel made it clear that he doesn't answer to Leonardo. Now it seems like he's afraid of him. I'm not sure what is going on there. I like your comment about sister lying and having to say a few Hail Mary's. That's funny! Mina sure loves her grandmother. Those two are always together. Mina is the first person Consuelo thought of when worrying about the thugs. Both Hector and Connie asked Mina not to tell her father what happened. At least for now. Connie promised that hey'd tell him at the proper time. I'm sure they're worried that Hector would do something before thinking it through. Horacio might come up with something tricky again. He better think of something pretty soon though.

Dondi, I am glad that some of your meetings got cancelled . Yay . Thank you so much for every detail of that increasingly weird episode.

It started out sweet with San gazing at his two sleeping girls. ( Does this guy ever sleep..or eat ?) THen, sweeter as Nare tells him that the baby is an innocent , and he will be San's son and Meleks brother and Nare will accept him and have a relationship with him .... lovely .

Dudu is a piece of work . She has gone down a slippery slope to social climb into the mansion via Weasly Yaya. Ugh. Poor Elban deserves someone as good as she is. Let Then have each other and make each other ...and Halis e ....miserable . Feride will put Dudu in her place.

Then, the wheels really came off the bus. Wasn't it lucky that San chose to put on the one jacket that handy , crafty Atike sewed the charm into? . Is that a love charm that is supposed to make San fall in love with Meanie ?

You've got to love crotchety , cranky Feride. She does not miss a thing. She eyeballed Meanie's pillowed belly , checked out her unswollen ankles , and smelled a rat. ( Although ,I have been pregnant three times, and my ankles remained skinny.)

Then, the weird amped up . What a twisted storyline . Is Nare going to get all ripped up seeing San holding the pillowed Meanie ? I cannot wait to hear that explanation . He looked like he got caught raiding the cookie jar.

Ok...interesting epi. couple of thoughts...why did San touch the murder weapon? why did those idiots not pause after they saw Kman started filming. Ok....a 3rd thought....why can't San touch Meanie's b-bump so he can finally see it's a pillow and not a baby.

Thank you dondi356 once again for your great recaps! And SusanLynn,I also wonder if Sancar ever sleeps or eats. That was so weird seeing him watching them in bed. No wonder he's a mess. Nett, Menekse must have a professionally made prosthetic baby bump because knifing, fainting, nothing got it out of place.

SusanLynn, I hardly gained any weight pregnant but at the end, my feet looked like elephant stumps. Maybe because it was the middle of a very hot summer?

This story is a powerful female fantasy, that the man you love who turned abusive suddenly changes and becomes a lapdog whose only desire is to serve you. Sancar is half Shih Tzu, half pitbull. I melted when he and Nare were kissing until I noticed his bloody knuckles and remembered he still has an anger management problem.

Do they really learn how to kill someone with a little arts and craft blade in medical school? Is that even possible?

dondi, what was the song in this episode, male singer, very distinctive sound? Thx!

I think you will understand why Sancar looked alarmed when you see tonight’s episode.

Nett, Sancar didn’t think, he reacted and grabbed that blade. He was ready to kill Kman. Note that when he saw Meanie on the ground he only said… my son. I don’t think he gives a fig about Meanie. Which is probably why he hasn’t even touched her pillow belly.

I don’t know if Sahra realized that Kman was recording. For a while there she had her back to him. And then she had her mind on the cover up.

I don’t blame Sancar for beating Gediz or slugging Yahya. They deserved it.
Sahra used a scalpel. Those are extremely sharp, and being a doctor, she knew exactly where to cut.

SI NOS DEJAN #32 Part 1

Lucas informs Alicia that if she doesn’t go, he will call the police. He has Mercedes call Sergio to tell Alicia himself that she is out at the foundation. In his uniquely vile manner, Lucas classifies Alicia as a house wife who wants to play at being an “important person.” She tells Lucas that she created the foundation and that he is just afraid because she has already found about all of the fraud he has committed and he could end up on the street.

Sergio has arrived at Julieta’s and he is planning on some sex when he gets the call from the foundation. Sergio tells Alicia that that Lucas is only following his orders. Her little game is over and that she needs to go and look after the house and their children because they are in need of being looked after by their mother. She reminds him the children are also his responsibility. She accuses him of revenge. He answers that she just wants to hang out with her imbecile friends like Martín. That is why their family is a disaster. He tells her her to get her little things together and leave so that she will not have to go through the embarrassment of the police throwing her out. Julie smirks in glee as she listens to the exchange.

Lucas tells Alicia she has a half of hour to get her things together and get out. He reminds her not to take anything that doesn’t belong to her.

Julieta wants Sergio to tell her what happened. He is not in the mood. She insists until he tells her that he took the foundation away from Alicia. She needs to be at home taking care of HIS kids. She asks if Alicia is friends with Martín. Sergio makes it clear that that is something else. He cannot stand Martín. He adds that Martín is back at the network. Tamayo insisted. Julieta is horrified. Sergio assures her that he will do everything possible to make life impossible for Martín so he leaves once and for all. That makes Julieta happy.

Martín tells Diablo that he has an idea for a report based on an article they wrote for the paper a few years back. The topic is the growth of impunity in relationship to crime. Mexico tops the list of Latin American countries in this regard. Diablo asks if this is just a way to talk about the murder of his brother. Martín says that is part of it but he is not the only one affected. So many people will identify with this topic. Diablo says they will have to get Sergio’s okay because it is still his program. At least they should inform him before the murder. Martín asks what murder? Diablo says the murder Sergio will commit when he finds out Martín’s intentions with his wife.
 

Part 2 of Jarifa's recap:
DEJAN Part 2

Fedora has her counseling session with Carlota and talks about being totally involved with a man young enough to be her son who is the son of a friend. She cannot cut it off because each time she sees him, she just melts and gives in to the passion one more time. On the other hand, there is Samuel. Carlota says she needs to forget about him. Fedora says he just appeared like a ghost apologizing. Carlota understands how hard it is to get out of a toxic relationship but Fedora’s safety is at risk.

Eva insults the bonsai as horrible dwarf plants and uses her chance meeting with Yuri to try to talk her into getting married to Moisés. He is a good earner, from a good family, serious, etc. Yuri counters with him being boring and makes it clear that she is never ever going to marry him.

Moisés visits Cholo to talk about the plan for his defense. Moisés wants to know if Cholo has a wife or a girlfriend. Cholo answers that he doesn’t. Moisés talks about the wonderful fiancée he has. Cholo must know her. She is so calm but when they are alone and together . . . She wants to get married in Vegas and he cannot say no to her. She loves the luxuries of life and traveling. Moisés clearly gets to Cholo who asks him to return to discussing his case.

Mercedes tells Alicia that Marcela and Luna are waiting to see her. Luna is all excited about going to school. Alicia has to give them the bad news about her leaving the foundation and the cancellation of the scholarship. She doesn’t have the power she had before but she is going to try to find some way to help Luna with or without the foundation.

Julieta is trying to hand Sergio’s suits and shirts in the closet. After he sees her dropping his clothes on the floor in the midst of her effort, Sergio kindly asks her to be careful with his clothing. She immediately reminds him she isn’t like Alicia who also like a servant. A woman comes by on Wednesdays and she will get her to iron his clothes. She adds that they all pitch in and throws one of his ties in his face as she points out a drawer he can put it in. Sergio isn’t happy. He says he needs to go to the network to solve a problem.

Yaya and Miranda have a friendly interlude as she brings Miranda food as she is playing video games with Culebra. They are flirting back and forth when Nicole arrives at Culebra’s house. Miranda asks if that is Nicole and suddenly Culebra is more into the game than flirting. He then tells Nicole that he is playing with a male friend. At that point, Miranda declares that the game is over and ends it. (Diana, you were right about duplicitous Diego AKA Culebra the snake in the grass)

Alicia assures Marcela that she will do shat she can to help Luna. Luna leaves to go to the bathroom. Alicia asks how things are going for Marcela who fills her in on Quique. She is afraid he is going to end up just as rotten as his father. Alicia gives her her contact info if she ever wants to chat.

Luna pays a visit to Lucas. She supposes that all of this is his fault. When he orders her out of his office, she wonders why he is so bitter. Could it be that he didn’t have a happy childhood. She saw something on tv about that. Lucas actually looks like he is thinking about what she said and hurriedly takes her back to her mother.
 

DEJAN Part 3 (Jarifa's recap)

Lucas brings Luna back and reminds Alicia that they need to leave or he is calling the police. Alicia makes sure that Lucas knows that he hasn’t seen the last of her. The foundation is supposed to help people but it doesn’t. She is going to unmask him because she is sure that Sergio has no idea of all of the financial irregularities that there are. He asks if she is calling him a thief. She is reminding him that the foundation was HER idea and she will fight for it even if she has to fight Sergio. She leaves with Luna and her mother.

Martín is recording his report on impunity when Sergio comes in and stops it. Nobody is recording anything until he talks to Martín alone. Everyone decides to go to lunch as the two are left to talk on the set. Sergio demands to know what Martín was doing with his wife, where they were and what they were doing.

Julieta brings her friend up to date on Sergio who wanted her to be like Alicia and wash and iron his clothes and put them away. Her friend says she asked for it by being like a Geisha with him. Julieta says she did that so he would move in with her. Julieta says he will have to treat her like a queen because she is a renowned journalist with a brilliant future.

Gonzo is impotent with Lorena. She makes the usual comment of “it happens to everyone some time” . Her friend Natalia arrives to try out some recipes. Gonzo quickly gets dressed.

Sergio informs Martín that Alicia didn’t tell him where they were so he is asking him. Martín says he’ll tell him so he doesn’t have a heart attack. He and Alicia ran into each other. They were chatting. Alicia got a call saying that Miranda had disappeared. The least he could do as a decent human being was to help her, so, they went together to go look for Miranda. Sergio says je had no reason to help her because he has nothing to do with his family. Sergio states that he doesn’t like Martín. Martín says they finally agree on something because he doesn’t like Sergio either and thinks that their relationship should remain strictly a work relationship. Martín leaves to go to eat with the others when Sergio says that his instincts tell him that Martín is hiding a plan of some sort. Martín agrees that their instincts are very similar. Sergio ends the talk with a warning: je doesn’t want Martín near his house, family or his WIFE. Martín takes this as an opportunity to remind Sergio that he and Alicia are getting a divorce and aren’t even living under the same roof. He awards a point to Julieta for that one. Before he leaves, he tells Sergio he is sure he will enjoy the segment they are filming.

Alicia has her appointment with Carlota and talks about the new man in her life. He was just a guy who was pursuing her until he kissed her. It was the first time she felt like that after a kiss in decades. Carlota is happy for her because she is regaining Alicia the woman after being Alicia the mother all of those years. Alicia doesn't think the relationship has much of a future. The issue is that he is 15 years younger than she is.

Gonzo quickly leaves Lorena’s place suddenly with things he has to do. Lorena’s friend apologizes for ruining things for her. Lorena tells her things were ruined before she arrived.

Nicole starts making fun out of Miranda. Culebra finally cannot take it and tells her he will not allow her to talk about Miranda that way. He thinks it is better that Nicole just leave. He isn’t in the mood for her. She is shocked!!!

Miranda is throwing a tantrum in her room about how much she hates herself and everyone else. Yaya comes in with some linens and Miranda explodes at her for not knocking at the door. Yaya wishes Miranda were still the sweet girl she was when she was six years old. Yaya doesn’t understand how Miranda can be so mean to everyone.
 

DEJAN Part 4 (Jarifa's recap)

On her way to her husband’s office, Rebeca has an unfortunate incident not recognizing an old student who is with Chiqui and just looking out of it. No, she doesn’t need the ex-student’s help in finding her husband’s offices. The ex-student goes on how wonderful Rebeca’s memory was when she had her as a teacher. That's hard for Chiqui to believe.

Alicia explains that technically she could be his mother and he has yet to live things she would not be interested in. Carlota reminds her they are in the 21st century. Alicia agrees but the country and her family are so conservative. Carlota asks if sje is bothered by the age difference. Alicia says of course it does. What will happen when they . . . .????? She is carrying the extra weight of middle age and scars from her pregnancies. She is embarrassed. She doesn’t feel desirable. Carlota tells her of very interesting studies that say that women in their forties should have sexual relationships with younger men. One study says that a woman’s desire and sexual performance start to improve at the age of 35. Alicia looks as of she likes what she is hearing.

Martín fills in Dragón on what Sergio said. He was more interested in talking about their personal lives. He is forbidding Martín from contacting Alicia and, of course, Martín isn’t going to pay any attention to that.

Sergio argues with Fabián about having to work with Martín. Fabián tells him he has no choice in the matter amd it doesn’t mayter if he cannot stand him. Nobody can stand anyone anyway but they are all professionals about it. Sergio brings up that Martín wasn’t at the last broadcast and has to be reminded that Martín was out with Alicia looking for Sergio’s child. Rebeca arrives at Fabián’s office clearly troubled.

Chiqui fills in Julieta about Sergio running into Martín. Julieta still wants Chiqui to find out all she can even if she has to marry the chauffeur. Julieta jhasto remind her it was a JOKE.

Rebeca explains to her husband that things are not right with her. It is beyond losing her keys at the house. She is ready to go see the doctor and asks if he will go with her. Of course, he will.

Gonzo tells his pal about his non performance issue with a metaphor: he baked the cake but it never rose. The friend cannot understand how Gonzo could be okay with that order lady but not with with Lorena.
 

DEJAN Part 5 (Jarifa's recap)

Samuel comes by Fedora’s house all repentant with a bouquet of flowers. He tells her how sorry he is. She says he could have put out more effort than he did by not going to to the supermarket to buy flowers. His façade starts ro crack after he hears that and he asks why are all women like the way she is being. He also has no plan on giving her the keys back. They belong to him. What is she hiding? He hopes he never walks in on her and that brat having a roll in the hay. She assures him that will never happen. If he ever finds out about that happening, he will go straight to his mother her friend Alicia and tell her what is going on.

Carlota explains to Alicia that by acting out Miranda is calling out for attention. Alicia needs to be there to listen to her. Carlota also suggests she go to school to talk to the principal who may be able to help them out with some psychological support. She hopes that Alicia can flower again. She will send her those articles, Alicia’s turn for happiness has arrived. They hug.

Martín gets a call from his daughter asking if she can spend the night at his place. He is overjoyed to have her come and will order out for pizza.

Yuri tells a colleague at work that she and Moisés are not getting married. Her coworker warns her that Moisés could become her worst enemy. She needs to be careful.

Cholo finds out that Azote and some pals are sick of the pigsty and are working on a plan to escape.

Sergio comes to see Julieta in her dressing room to tell her there is no way to get rid of Martín and on top of it all he is a friend of Alicia. Julieta laughs. Sergio asks why she is laughing. She thinks it is all so funny. Just imagine if Alicia and Martín slept together.
Sergio goes berserk and grabs her by neck and head. He orders her to never make such a stupid comment like that again.

Martín is having a conversation and some quality time with Nelson. Sofía is coming and if Nelson is good he’ll get some pizza, too. They high five and there is a knock on the door. Martín thinks it must be Sofía but it isn’t. It is Alicia. There are smiles all around.

How I enjoy watching everyone discard Eva's advice! Yuri is standing her ground and that is admirable.

"Diana, you were right about duplicitous Diego AKA Culebra the snake in the grass." Yup. our Diana was spot on with that. He reverted into the snake in the grass and Miranda reverted to her rude, obnoxious self. Ay! Ay! Ay!

So Gonzo baked the cake and it never rose! LOL Serves him right for being a two-timing jerk!

Alicia wasted no time in taking Carlota's advice! Good for her!

First, Juanita, thank you for posting Jarifa’s incredible recap.

Jarifa, the recap was over the moon spectacular. Truly. I hope whatever issues you are having can be worked out quickly.

“Eva insults the bonsai as horrible dwarf plants and uses her chance meeting with Yuri to try to talk her into getting married to Moisés” was my favorite line of many and perfectly encapsulated Eva’s odious essence.

Jarifa, the times I’ve been right on something can easily be counted on one hand. I am sorry that Culebra backslid so quickly the second the horrid Nicole appeared on the scene. Diego has seen and heard first hand how callous, insulting and cruel she has been to Miranda. He should have thrown her out immediately. Caring about someone when alone is one thing, but if he can’t show his feelings and defend and champion Miranda to the world is another, he should back away. Equally upsetting is Miranda’s angry reaction detesting herself and being contemptible to others as Yaya pointed out.

It was almost impossible to watch Moises insidiously poison Cholo’s mind with “She is so calm but when they are alone and together”. Let’s hope Cholo is too smart to get involved with the prison break.

We think Samuel has reached the pinnacle of loathsomeness and then he threatens to tattle to Alicia about Fedora and Gonzalo. I’m starting to wonder if perhaps Fedora and Gonzalo are end game?

“Julieta says he will have to treat her like a queen because she is a renowned journalist with a brilliant future”. And modest to the core…

“In his uniquely vile manner, Lucas classifies Alicia as a house wife who wants to play at being an “important person.” Sergio certainly helped create Lucas’ hate and resentment. I wonder if there might be a small ray of hope he can be redeemed.

“He tells her her to get her little things together and leave so that she will not have to go through the embarrassment of the police throwing her out” and nearly choking Julieta shows that there is no hope for Sergio..

“She hopes that Alicia can flower again…Alicia’s turn for happiness has arrived.” Ahhh Carlota.

Looks like the mystery woman will be revealed to Sofia. Should be a very interesting night.

RgvChick, maybe Luna could skip school and put up her shingle now with that kind of insight. What was funny was Lucas’ momentary reaction. I found the PSA on continuing sexual ed for the older woman interesting. It was good to see Alicia taking Carlota’s advice to heart.
As for Gonzo’s cake not rising, he deserved it.

Diana, thank you for your kind words. As for Culebra, I was in LaLa land thinking that after the road trip he would say bye bye to Nicole. Congrats to you because you saw it coming! After seeing how nasty Miranda became again, I think she and Diego deserve each other. I can see her taking him back after making him suffer and pay for his lack of feelings which will end up with her in a much better mood. One would think that the physical confrontation between Sergio and Julieta would open Julieta’s eyes and make her realize that maybe she doesn’t have the prize in Sergio that she thinks she has.

When Martín and Sergio had their face off, I was amazed by the difference in height between the two actors. I found it quite distracting. It could have been set up/photographed better.

Nelson’s one blue eye matches Martín’s eyes.

One, two, three. Johnny is giving Nora a dance lesson at Olympo Pratas. My fans like that I always send them kisses, says Nora. Ah, Johnny says. Sensuality you don't have. Arms like this. Get someone else to do the choreography because I quit. Adiós. Gorda!, he calls to Nora over his shoulder as he leaves. Gorda, Your grandmother!, she replies. He doesn't know how to teach, Nora tells Yolanda.

Beba hides her accomplice at the edge of a park. She wants him to take video and sound of her encounter with Camila. Your success in Madrid was obviously, in part, due to Yolanda, Beba says when she meets her. Of course not, says Camila. I don't owe anything to that detestable and horrible woman. She humiliates everyone. She's despicable, unbearable, she's rude. She steals designs from her seamstresses and presents them as her own. So, who do you think caused Helena to lose in Madrid?, Beba asks. Yolanda Pratas, of course, says Camie. Excuse me.

I'm not usually so patient, Yoland says to Nora, but I must tell you. If you continue with that attitude, you're not going to be a model. You have to think for yourself like your sister Valentina. She's a woman who is sure of herself. One way or another, she gets what she wants. She went to Madrid with that foolish Helena. I wouldn't be surprised if she's always cast a shadow over you. Let me guess. Ricardo chose her and not you. Claudio appeared in your lives and was dazzled by the cute Valentina. Isn't it like that? Well yes, Nora says, they always choose her. Even our parents spoke wonders of her. But, I'm Guillermo Vargas's daughter. I'm the one that ended up winning everything. Really? So why are you so alone? Why aren't you happy? I'll tell you why. Mina is in her room taliking to her doll. She saw her grandmother kissing Horacio and is worried she will go away with him. If her father marries Helena Mina's afraid she'll be alone.

Helena is comforting Valentina who is feeling overwhelmed by guilt and the loss of Claudio. To Helena's annoyance Nora shows up. Since you came to rub it in our faces that you agreed to work for Yolanda, I told you that you couldn't be here. You took it upon yourself to tell the media that Yolanda is a good designer and you should realize I don't want you here.

Adelaida asks Gullermo how it went with Rosa Maria when he gets home. Can you believe that she sent me to the shrink?, he asks. Maybe therapy would be the best thing that could happen to you, Adelaida counters. I don't have anything to talk about, he says. I think you're wrong, says Adelaida. You have something in your soul that is killing you.
 

TU AMOR ep 61 part 2

Nora and Valentina go to an Asian restaurant for lunch. You should be with Ricardo, Nora tells her sister. Ricardo has money and Claudio doesn't. You think that I would be with somebody because they have money? That's why you were with Ricardo, says Nora. You were going to escape to Italy. How were you going to pay? With vouchers? You love Ricardo. Why do you insist on denying the obvious? You never forget your first love. Yes he was my first love but he doesn't even reach Claudio's heels. He's so intelligent, so good, so kind, how I wish we could be together like before. Claudio is not coming back, Nora tells herself when Val leaves for the bathroom. Because I'm going to take him from you.

Leonardo comes to Helena's office to pitch Francesco's deal to sell her clothing online. Helena only half listens as he drones on. He goes so far as to say it would be a tribute to her dead brother Alfonso to make her clothing available to women with physical disabilities. She seems unimpressed by his over the top sales pitch about her one day having an office on the 60th floor in Manhattan. Yes, yes, um hum, she says barely listening as she continues working on some designs. She lights up with a big smile when Hector shows up. She goes to him and gives him her full attention. I'm going, says Leo, because I'm picking up a sweaty smell... Oh, a standup comedian, Hector says and he and Helena laugh. Let's go eat, Helena says. I'm dying of hunger. Something healthy?, asks Hector. What?, she says. You told me tacos.

Guillermo has come for his therapy and Doctora Blanca asks him to head to the couch. Why don't you want therapy?, she asks. I always thought that therapy was for weak people without character. And you think you don't need it? Exactly. That's why in your case it will only be one session. Please take a seat. Let's do it quickly so I can go, he says. Why do you want to go?, she asks. What is it you're afraid to discover about yourself?

There is a montage of Helena and Hector enjoying street food around the city. Do you know how long it's been since I've eaten a pork rind taco?, Helena asks. It reminded me of leaving school when I was a child. Speaking of children, Hector says. Would you like to have kids some day? I would love to have children. I'd like to have a boy and a girl. Do you think Mina would like that? Yes, he says, she always wanted someone to play with because she's been so alone.

Leonardo gets a call from Patricia while working on his computer. I need to see you, she says. Whenever you want, he replies. How canI help you? Yolanda told me something interesting about Nora. Maybe we could help each other. In her office, Leonardo asks why she wants to know if Nora is Guillermo's real daughter. If I knew, what would I gain by telling you? Mucho dinero, Pat says. Money doesn't interest me, he says. Then what is it that you want?, she asks moving right up against him. I want you. (Enrique is following the conversation on his iPad.) No Leonardo. Don't be confused, says Pat. I changed my mind, he says. I WILL take your money. You're a cynic, she laughs. I want you to help me get some of Valentina's hair. I want to do a DNA test to determine if she's Guillermo's real daughter. And what to you gain from that? More than you can imagine, she answers.

Consuelo and Horacio are sitting on the couch. Why did you wait so long to kiss me?, she asks. Didn't you pick up on the signals I sent you? You said you didn't want to live with me, he replies. Sometimes when a woman says no, what she means is yes. We need to keep this secret though. Like two adolescents?, asks Horacio, moving in for the kiss. He rolls away and feigns sciatica when Hector pops into the room. The second time it happens, Hector finds it suspicious. I'll bring you some ointment , he says.

 

TU AMOR ep 61 part 3

One of the government agents from the tax office gets a call that Valentina was an employee for the Manrique family. The data base shows that Ricardo and Armando Manrique are deceased but Patricia Manrique is alive and lives in the city. They plan to interrogate her tomorrow because she might be aware of Valentina's current location.

Horacio foolishly takes some jewelry from his secret treasure room to give to Consuelo. How stupid I am, he says. The treasure is cursed. I don't want to pass the curse on to Consuelo. That old man is loaded with valuables, Perro thinks as he watches through the kitchen curtains.

When Helena gets back to her taller everyone is on their devices. What's going on, she asks Majo. It's all over the web, Majo says. Camila is saying terrible things about you. Why? Camila shows up and realizes that something is wrong. Nora and Valentina watch the video at the restaurant. Every criticism Camila had about Yolanda is now being directed against Helena. Camie explains to Helena what must have happened. Look how you can't see Beba's face in the video. You only see her from behind. I swear she edited the questions. Claudio says that businesses are trying to cancel their accounts. This is all my fault, says Cami. Don't worry, Helena assures her. We're going to find a solution. The solution is to find the original video, says Claudio. We can't sue without it or we would be subject to defamation charges. Leo suggests they contact Francesco so they can sell Helena's line over the internet. Helena thinks that might be a good idea.

Yolanda is loving what she's seeing in Beba's video. How were you able to do it?, she asks. Easy. I asked different questions and edited it later. You did what?, asks Yolanda. She said those horrible things about you and I changed the questions, Beba explains. You're so stupid, Yolanda rages. Think about what happens if someone discovers the original video. Helena will be vindicated and I'll look like a liar. You have to get that video and destroy it. Move!

Luna tries to flirt with Hector again at night class but he tells her to stop. He gets a call from Helena that Camila needs him. He leaves class and calls Patricia. Pat will need to get someone else to take her to her appointment. At Helena's, Majo gives Camila some tea and they tell her that what happened isn't her fault. Hector adds that if Beba was a guy, she wouldn't have any teeth right now. Majo suggests they have a press conference because Helena is getting torn apart on the web. "Classist, Intolerant, Racist", and other things I can't repeat, Majo says. OK, Helena agrees. We'll have a press conference early tomorrow.

Adelaida is speaking to Ricardo. Bad actions lead to bad Karma, she tells him. At least I kept Valentina from marrying Claudio, he says. Could you tell me more about my father? I remember he was attentive and friendly, Adelaida recalls. The complete opposite of Armando. And Patricia knew him?, he asks. Yes, but she was very small. He wore a peculiar gold bracelet and he had a tattoo on his right hand that I think was some letters and a cross. I never knew anything more of him. I always assumed that he died. (As Adelaida talks, Patricia get in a cab which is driven by a man matching the description of Ricardo's father). It's Ricardo's father!, Patricia tells herself.
 

TU AMOR ep 61 part 4

Claudio gets a call from Rosa Maria. She says she wants to hire him as her accountant. He agrees to meet her in her consulting room tomorrow. RM tells Samara that it's the beginning of capturing his heart. He brings some brochures to Valentina's workspace and the door closes behind him. They spar a little verbally with each other. She thinks he hasn't wasted any time when she hear's that Rosa Maria is his new client. He thinks she hasn't wasted any time with Ricardo. She says it's time for him to go but the door is locked. Val's phone is dead and he left his in the office. As time passes, both the tension and the chemstry in the room start to build. We're going to talk!, says Val. About what?, says Claudio. About you being a traitor? You're the one person in the world I trust and now you want to go on with your life without me. I want you to look at me Claudio. I want you to listen to me so you realize that I love you. Don't leave me, she says as they embrace. I would die without you. The scene goes into slow motion as they kiss.

 

TU AMOR. Another first-rate recap, JoelD! And another horrible social media attack by Beba/Yolanda--this time against the very vulnerable Camila. They truly have no shame whatsoever. I hope Helena's press conference and fight-back scheme work. Yolanda is now openly stirring up conflict between Nora and Val. There appears to be no limit to that woman's creative cruelty! The government case against Val just keeps moving along. But their files certainly aren't up-to-date if they think Ricardo is dead. Didn't his "resurrection" make the news? It was a bit too much of a coincidence that Patricia happened to get into Ricardo's real father's cab. I figured the security guard would open Val's and Claudio's locked door.
 

Embajador S2 #39 part 1

Nare comes through the gate and Sancar shouts, don’t come in! Get back! Then he says softly, don’t enter, don’t come in…. When Nare takes another step forward, he shouts again, don’t come in! Don’t enter! Shocked Nare calls out, the baby, the baby.

Sancar puts Meanie down, gets up and goes over to Nare, get back, it is not her blood. Loki wanted to attack her, it is Loki's blood. He grabs Nare and pushes her out of the gate, come, walk, walk. He grabs Elvan, too, and leads them back to their car.

Sancar asks the ladies, what are doing at Menekse’s house? Nare replies, I saw blood there, what were you doing carrying Menekse? Tell me what happened, please. Sancar answers, believe me it is not what it seems. He’s agitated, Gulsiye told me you were coming here for the recording and I found this scene. Luckily, I got there before you two.

Sancar is upset thinking what would have happened if they had arrived earlier. Loki attacked a woman who was expecting a child, he tells them, Kahraman had to cut his throat! Elvan puts her hand to her mouth. What would have happened if you arrived earlier, what would he have done to you?! Nare asks if the baby is ok. Elvan asks, is Loki dead? He died, Sancar replies, the baby is fine.

Necdet places the passed out Meanie on the couch. Kman enters the house, looking for Sahra and Ceylan. Kman advises them, listen well, you will have to find a hiding place. Hide this luggage… if I'm still alive at the end of the day ... he wags his finger at them and can’t even finish that sentence. He goes outside.

Sancar tries to hustle Nare and Elvan out of there. Nare tries to calm him down, what's wrong, where do you want me to go? Sancar he tells her that he is not sure of what really happened. All I know is that Kahraman is capable of murdering someone, he shouts, my son and Menekse are with him, I have to save them. Uh, oh….

Nare doesn’t take this well. It's true, she says, the woman who tried to murder my daughter is the mother of your child, yes, you have to protect her, I understand you very well. She adds, if you are not going to leave the mother of your son with that damn murderer, I will not leave my daughter's dad either, I'll call the police.

Kman shows up and tells Nare, you are right to call them, go ahead. But I'm going to have to give the police my testimony-- Sancar raises his voice to Kman, what are you going to say to them, what are you going to say to them? Kman responds, I will say that Loki and Menekse were lovers. Sancar grabs Kman by the collar and pins him against a car, damn you! Elvan stops Sancar, what he said is true. Sancar releases Kman and asks Elvan …what… that's true? She nods.

Kman continues to reveal his testimony. I would dare to say that he attacked Menekse out of spite and I was the one who saved her, and that is true. I think he worked at the mansion when you were married, he tells Sancar. Elvan looks guilty. Who knows, maybe Menekse and Loki had a relationship, he says. Kman puts on the finishing touch—just imagine the rest, by sunset everyone will know, think twice, the honor of your ex-wife is in my hands.

Kman’s got Sancar with the honor thing. He lets Kman walk away and go back into the house. Sancar grabs Nare and tries to get her to leave again, you were never here, go away… Nare can’t believe he won’t call the police. Sancar, there is a dead man, are you going to disappear him or what?!

Sancar replies, what can I do, let everyone speak badly about my son’s mother? Ask her who is the father of the son she expects? Sancar pleads with Nare, go, I beg you, please, go now. He stuffs her into the car.

Embajador S2 #39 part 2

Elvan asks Nare if she’s okay. Nare shakes her head no and asks Elvan if she is ok. No, Elvan replies, we couldn't get the recording, I can't get divorced. Nare is determined. She gets out of the car and tells Sancar, I’ll go, however I have to do something before you clean your honor, Sancar. She starts walking and Sancar follows her and grabs her. She breaks free and heads for the house.

Nare stops at the sight of Loki in the doorway. She carefully steps over him. Sancar follows.

Meanwhile, Atike is tending to her daughter and fixes her pillow belly just as Nare appears. [We were hoping they would get caught]

Meanie asks, what is this woman doing here? Nare demands, give me the recording of Dudu and Yahya right now! Sancar yells at Meanie, I want you to give it to her! Menekse says it’s on her phone. Nare tells her to send it to Elvan. She does.

Nare walks out the door over Loki’s body and Sancar follows, he stops her, wait, Nare. Nare turns to him and says, I dug a grave for you, Sancar Efe, will you dig one for Menekse? Nare and Elvan leave.

Looks like Halise and Refika are rolling sigara borek. Refika asks, I am not able to understand the reason for Elvan’s divorce, is there something that I haven't heard about Dudu, friend? Ayse appears at that moment and it’s awkward. Halise answers, no, of course, you haven't heard anything, Nare’s been taking care of her. Refika asks, Nare is influencing her? Halise comes out and asks what’s going on. I’m going to go to Menekse's house to make sure, Feride says. What? Feride answers, what about what, isn’t it a wonder she's so thin and expecting a baby? She looks like a broom with a skirt! What kind of pregnancy is that? Feride continues, I knew her mother when she was pregnant, she looked like giant balloon. [Turkish] And Halise (the person) got so fat, she looked more like a cow than my Halise (the cow)! Menekse looks like a snake who ate a melon. I will check if she is really pregnant or just ate too much.

Kavruk gets a call from Sancar. He asks Kavruk to take Loki's dad to the olive grove. Kavruk asks, but what am I going to tell him? Sancar says don't tell him anything. I will pay “kan parası”, blood money, but I will tell him. Kavruk is alarmed and repeats, kan parası, yes, I understand.

Kman asks Sancar, what will we do with the body, will you help me or will I do it alone, do you know a cemetery or better should I put him next to Akin? Sancar snaps, I'm going to put you in a grave, what were you doing here? Kman replies, Menekse said that Loki threatened her, and I came. Sancar asks, why did she call you? Sancar calls Kman an idiot and it seems that everyone else is, too. He tells Kman to get out of here or he will kill him. Kman’s gonna go but asks, what will you do with the body? Sancar says, I'll take care of it, don’t worry. Kman says, look, if something happens to me… A truck pulls up and Sancar directs the men.

Kman is ticked, he asks, what is this? You're going to give him a funeral? You're going to send him to his parents? Are you going to pay for his funeral? We see a plain wooden casket. Sancar tells his guys to get Kman out of here. And he tells Kman he doesn’t want to see him back here. Kman leaves.

Loki is carried out and Sancar directs, I want you to take him to the olive grove. And he wants some other men to stay at the house.

Sancar enters the house. Sahra and Ceylan are hiding in another room. Sancar takes a long look at Meanie in her bloody dress. He tells Necdet to go to the olive grove. Sancar says to Meanie, answer me one thing and I will forgive everything have you done. Should I protect you for cheating on me? Am I the father of that baby? [does he really expect to hear the truth?!]

Meanie answers, of course, Sancar, I promise you that I have never been with another man, you know that well. [that might be true, but that baby won’t be his!] Sancar says, from now on the guards will watch here, you won't be able to leave until you give birth, understood? Sahra and Ceylan quietly panic in the other room. Sancar continues, [Turkish] Allah has punished me like this, but my son will not suffer. He gives Meanie the worst look ever and leaves.

Sahra and Ceylan come out of hiding. Necdet worries, there will be guards at the gate until you give birth. What are we going to do? We are trapped here, doctor.
Nare has stopped the car. She tells Elvan, I'll cool off a bit at that fountain, then we'll pick up Melek. She washes her face and replays Sancar’s words, “should I let them speak badly of my son's mother? Should I ask her who is the father?” Nare tries to calm herself down.

Meanwhile, Elvan listens to the recording from Meanie’s phone. Elvan cries out, no, no, no! Nare takes her out of the car to wash her face. Come on…. Nare asks, do you feel better? Are you okay? Elvan vows, I will not let them hurt my honor. That's why I'm going to stand my ground. Do I have my head held high? Nare answers, you have it, of course, you are strong.

Elvan continues, I will not allow that damn coward play with me. I'm going to be the one to make fun of him. I will not get divorced without making him pay first. I'll go straight to the mansion. If someone should be ashamed, it's Yahya. Nare says she will take Elvan to the mansion. No, Elvan replies, no, i'll get my lawyer first and go to the mansion later. You pick up Melek and go home. I'll be back when this whole thing is over. Conveniently, a taxi shows up and Elvan hails it. [Nare is left standing there and all I can think about is her short skirt and long black boots.]

They cut the end of this scene: Sancar stopped at another fountain to wash his face and the scene cuts back and forth between Nare and Sancar silently processing what just happened.

Gediz is playing with Melek at the olive grove office when Nare arrives. Melek greets her mom. Gediz and Nare acknowledge each other and it’s a little uncomfortable. Gediz says, our majesty called and wants to talk to me. A client came and I stayed with the princess.
Melek and tells her mom she has a surprise for her.

She brings Nare and Gediz to the table. She shows a drawing and tells her mom, you said this morning that you were going to choose the date, so I drew your wedding dress. Nare shoots a look to Gediz. You must wear it on your wedding day, Melek says, right, Gediz? Isn't the dress beautiful? Gediz says he doesn't understand anything about fashion, but he would get rid of the flowers.

Zehra arrives just in time. She’s sorry to have kept him waiting. Gediz sits at the table and Nare takes Melek to leave. Zehra stops her and asks her to stay, you once you promised that you would support all the partners. Please, Nare, I need your support. It will only be five minutes. Nare sighs and agrees to stay, [Turkish] she was going to work, and she will start her work with Gediz. Nare asks Melek to wait outside.

Both ladies sit opposite of Gediz. He says to Zehra, it must be very important for you to ask for support, huh? He snarks, do not disturb Ms. Nare, she must plan her big wedding. Smirky smiles between the ex best friends.

Ok, Gediz is listening. Zehra says, this is a delicate matter; I don't know how to approach it. Gediz replies, let's go, Zehra. To be a boss is to be like a wolf. Lethal and proud. Never doubt. Go ahead. Nare gives her a nod and Zehra proceeds, good, I revoke your authority to sign checks. Gediz pauses for a moment and says, I was wondering when Sancar would open your eyes.

Zehra says, did you foresee this? Gediz answers, I would also do the same. Sancar and I used that strategy all the time. But Sancar told you days ago. You never dared do it until now, did you? Zehra’s looking very nervous.

Nare speaks up, wow, so Zehra took too long to take you off the signing authority. Flashback to Gediz signing a lot of checks. He tells the ladies, it could be. You will find out when the creditors call. A worried Zehra looks at Nare. Nare asks, will they call? Gediz gets cryptic, I don't know, what do you think? Zehra says, it took me a long time to do it… I know.

Gediz gets a call from Sahra. Obviously, he can’t take it there. He gets up from the table and tells Zehra, calm, calm down. I’m joking…. or maybe not. He leaves the office and says goodbye to Melek outside.

His phone rings. It’s Sahra again. What's up, doctor? Sahra says, help me. Gediz asks, what happened? I feel trapped, she answers. Gediz snarks, ah, I'll go to your house to ask for your hand. It’s been catching on recently. Sahra warns him, don't start about your wedding trauma over your girlfriend. You should contact Nare before she gets married so she can tell me where my brother’s grave is. Sahra tells Gediz she is trapped at Menekse’s house because Sancar posted guards.

Gediz is surprised, did Sancar know you were there? No, she replies, and you don't know… he only found Loki's body. How will I get out of here? Gediz asks, Loki died? Answer. Sahra gives him the BS story about Kman slitting Loki’s throat.

She appeals to Gediz, you have to get me out of here, but that's not the problem—Gediz interrupts, you are a psychopath, Sahra. You said Loki died. Don’t you care? It is plain that Sahra does not care. She says, Gediz, I have to escape. Gediz replies, I’m beginning to miss your brother, nos vemos. He hangs up. Sahra sighs.
Ceylan enters and asks, what happened? Nothing, Sahra says, I told the hospital that I had a virus. Who knows when we'll get out of this place?

Sahra gets a message from Kman with a snap of what he recorded: "I assume you will now answer all my questions: one, what was Ceylan doing there? and two, why is Menekse pretending to be pregnant? " Sahra tells Ceylan, I have annoyed both Kahraman and Sancar. She calls Kman.

Sahra explains, one, you threw Ceylan out and that’s the reason she came to Menekse's house. Kman asks, and two? Menekse and Akin were accomplices-- Ceylan is worried Sahra will out her. Sahra continues, Akin asked me to find a woman who would give her child to Menekse so she could continue a fake pregnancy. Ceylan is begging Sahra not to out her. Sahra says, I was able to find a mother in Istanbul. I am going to give them that baby, understand? Kman warns Sahra, if those photographs arrive at Sancar’s… Sahra hangs up on him and reassures Ceylan her secret is safe.

Kman gets an update from Guven, Zehra took check signing authority from Gediz. Kman: oh ... do you think Gediz will bankrupt them? Guven asks, and what are we going to do? Kman says, we will do nothing. We will attack them when they are finished, like vultures do.

Muge comes out on the terrace where Guven is. Guven is closing the call, I understand Mr. Kahraman… Muge takes the phone, is it Kahraman? May I? Hello, Mr. Kahraman? You are missed here. When will you return to the marina? Kman replies with irritation, when you leave the marina, hang up. Muge returns Guven’s phone— thank you, have a good day.

Sancar arrives at the olive grove office. He sees Nare’s car. He greets Melek outside and tells her, I thought they had taken you to the mansion. Melek says, no, Zehra and I were here, Gediz just left. [Uh, oh, the look on Sancar’s face.] Zehra and mom are inside.

Melek says, do you know what I drew today? What did you draw, my love? Melek replies, it’s the dress she will wear at the wedding. Sancar asks to see it. He smiles at the drawing and says, it's beautiful. They discuss the picture for a bit then Sancar asks, what was Gediz doing here, my love? She shakes her head like she doesn’t know.

Zehra and Nare are in the office calling banks and asking if they have Sadiclar checks. Nare finishes her calls and says, everything looks very calm. Zehra says she’s done too, there is no history of checks from our group. Nare thinks Gediz might have told them to make them worry… or maybe tomorrow checks will show up everywhere.

Zehra is very upset. Nare, my brother told me to take Gediz’ authority to write checks, but I did not dare. Maybe he has already bankrupted us. Nare tells Zehra to stay calm and don't worry. I'll clear this up. I’ll talk to Gediz, okay? Sancar enters and he heard that. He asks, what are you going find out about Gediz?

Nare coolly replies, it’s nothing. It's about work. Sancar tells her Gediz shouldn't talk about work with you. Nare stands up to Sancar and says, as you order and we will do as you ask us. She snarks, let me go clean the house, you dig a grave, restore your honor, protect your wife, and then come back, later. If you want, I can wash your feet. An intense starting contest starts between Nare and Sancar.

Zehra raises her hand, can I make my confession and go? Neither Nare nor Sancar look away from each other. Zehra says, Melek will come with me. You need to talk about your business.

Without taking his eyes off Nare, Sancar asks, say your confession, Zehra. Zehra starts, you told me a long time ago to take away Gediz’ check signing authority, but ... Sancar finally looks at Zehra. She says, I couldn't muster up the courage to do it until now, I think he bankrupted us. We will have to wait for Sancar’s reaction.

I don't think Yuri would go on the lamb with Cholo. She's besotted but has a good head on her shoulders (hopefully).

I do feel there are genuine feelings now between Fedora and Gonzalo. It takes two to tango so if Alicia is upset, she needs to be upset with both. Gonzalo is a grown man and no one forced him into anything. Will Alicia be more amenable to their relationship as she is now falling for someone younger herself? This could go either way.

I am very afraid for Fedora. I sense Samuel will only go away if in jail or dead (speculation, no spoiler).

I think Carlota is in for a world of hurt. I hope she finds out before Alicia tells her (not knowing of course who she is)...

Hi Spanprof. I thought the writers had Valentina moving to a new apartment so the federal agents wouldn't be able to find her. Then I realized that Patricia would probably tell them that she works for Helena Vargas. It's a good thing Val's landlord got an advance for the rent, because she might be arrested soon. Yolanda must have an emotional frailty radar. She knew exactly what to say to Nora to crush her spirit and turn her against her sister. I thought it was funny how Leonardo reacted when Patricia rejected his amorous advances. "OK, I changed my mind. I'll take the money". Ha! I hope he's not able to trick Helena into signing a contract with Francesco. She doesn't really value his opinion very much though. Patricia should tell Ricardo right away that she ran into his real father. Why do I have the feeling that she'll keep this information from him? I think she'll try to use it to her advantage in some way. Too bad we're pre-empted tonight. Can't wait for Friday.

I am so appreciative you translated the little insult fest between Johnny and Nora! “Sensuality you don't have” and “It's as if we want an elephant to run like a gazelle” had me smiling away. Just great.

Yolanda need not have spewed poison in Nora’s ear. She is already reeking of it, drowning in jealousy and spitefulness.

“Claudio is not coming back, Nora tells herself when Val leaves for the bathroom. Because I'm going to take him from you”. The delusion continues unabated.

Horacio continues to be careless and now Dumb and Dumber know where the “secret” room is.

I think Camila has been persecuted enough. Bad enough Yolanda is hell bent on destroying Helena, but Camila is an innocent in all of this.

Helena’s very bad days are endless. How much worse can things get? Now Helena has to do even more damage control. Everything is going south.

Val’s freedom appears to be short lived as the feds are closing in. “But their files certainly aren't up-to-date if they think Ricardo is dead. Didn't his "resurrection" make the news?” Good point SpanProf! Let’s hope they are enlightened quickly.

So now Patricia knows who Ricardo’s father is. What will she do about it?

It appears that the only one to stop Patricia is Enrique. He’s seeing and learning more about her every day. Will he desert her? Hardly. I suspect (no spoiler) he will use all the evidence to force her to marry him.

“Claudio gets a call from Rosa Maria. She says she wants to hire him as her accountant”. Yeah, I bet!

For a few moments, I really did think Claudio and Valentina were going to be locked up together all night and that they would finally patch things up. He already ruined the wedding and now, another brief window of opportunity for a reconciliation has been ruined.

When you are pregnant, people don't seem to be able to resist touching your belly, but nobody has touched Meanie's pillow belly. I was so hoping that shrewd Fericious, fierce Feride would pay Meanie an unwelcome visit and grab that upholstery . Then, the jig would be up.

There is no editor for Feride's thoughts . She thinks it. She says it .

Well, that happy happy joy joy that we had for the last couple episodes has pretty much disappeared , and San is back on the job getting rid of bodies, threatening to kill other people, and doling out death stares right and left. He is trying to be large and in charge , but he just wanted to get marriedddd. I wonder if he is starting to miss being wrapped in that cowhide burrito.

I’m sorry that Loki met his end in such a terrible way. I liked Loki, he was crazy and hilarious in the original. It’s unfortunate that some of his stuff was edited out.

Dee, a lot of little details have been edited out of this dizi. There were no passengers on Necdet’s bus except for Meanie and Atike, so no witnesses other than those at the house. Necdet runs tours with that bus, but I can’t remember if we ever saw him carrying paying customers.

Sancar doesn’t have undertakers on call, he just has his “men”, like Kman and Gediz has them. I always wonder where all these men come from. It’s like there’s a never ending supply. If you’ve ever watched a narco novela you will know what I mean.

I am officially done with Fedora. She should have had Samuel arrested but no; she agrees to retract the restraining order, which is an invitation to kill her.

With all the age-gap relationships in this story there is much room for comparison. I can't imagine the family dynamics if Gonzalo and Fedora are endgame. This is emotional incest, especially if Fedora knew Alicia since before Gonzalo's birth.

Eva is seriously out of touch. Nobody has to get married if they don't want to these days.
