Ep 20: Martin’s Out of Job But Feels like Dancin’ Part 1

Sergio storms in and barks, “What are you waiting for…you are fired!” Martin is glad to leave; he doesn’t want to be associated with Sergio’s program where all of them like to spread rumors. SerHerk then forbids Martin to get close to Alicia. They get into a chest-pushing verbal match until Sergio warns Martin that he is going leave him in the streets when he sues him; Martin dares him to go ahead and sue.

The shouting match moves to Sergio’s office since Diablo defends Martin and tells Sergio that he will leave too. After Diablo leaves, SerJerk then turns on Julieta and demands to know who gave her permission to take his place on the show.

Maruja begs Facundo to go to the hospital but he refuses; so she opts to call Martin.

Martin and Diablo end up a bar. Diablo is not going to stay if he can’t have the people he needs by his side. Martin then gets a call from Maruja.

Alicia gets home to change clothes and talk to Yuri. When she asks Yuri if they hurt her, Yuri explains that is why she didn’t tell anyone; she knew they would worry needlessly. Alicia then cries that no one in that house tells her anything…and SerJerk keeps blaming her for everything falling apart at the house. Yuri then brings up Serios birthday and thinks her father would want to spend the day there.

Sergio and Juleech get into it about her taking over the show. She argues that the ratings were very good. Sergio thinks that Juleech wants to take over but she tells him that she only wanted to help him (out the door).

Gonzo is meeting with Fedora’s ex who doesn’t understand why Ferdora had him go there…unless Gonzo is another one of Fedora’s boytoys. Gonzo denies having anything with Fedora but Mr. Ex knows better. Gonzo leaves.

Apparently, Facundo ends up going to the hospital and Martin is there. When he mentions that the goon was trying to take his badge and gun, Martin wonders why he is still carrying both things. He tells Facundo that Cholo confessed and it is time to stop the personal investigating, but Facundo thinks that it would be good time to go talk to Cholo since he confessed.

Mujica is his nasty self as Cholo goes in to sign the confession. Mujica warns him that if he doesn’t sign, the investigation will have to continue…and Cholo should tell his pretty little lawyer to be careful because something might happen to her. Cholo signs the confession!

Yuri is in bed thinking about Chela’s advice—not to risk her life just because she fell in love with Cholo. She then gets a call from Moises but declines it; then she considers calling Cholo but changes her mind and yells into her pillow in frustration.

 

Ep 20: Martin’s Out of Job But Feels like Dancin’ Part 2

Culebra and his friends are practicing the video games. His friends think that they should go on training without Culebra’s friend but Culebra insists that they wait for Enigma.

Eva is talking to Miranda and plotting to have a surprise party for SerJerk. After Eva leaves, Miranda gets a message from Culebra that if Enigma doesn’t show up they will have to continue training for the tournament without him/her.

Carlota tries to explain to Sonia why she and Martin can’t be together. They get along now because they don’t live together. They are interrupted by Karina who awkwardly makes up the excuse that she is there because she needs an avocado.

Martin tells Facundo and Maruja about the home invasion so they tell him to go ahead and go be with his family.

Emiliano continues to make Sergio look good as he speaks to Alicia. Alicia asks him if SerJerk has any plans for his birthday since the girls would like to spend time with him; so Emiliano tells her that SerJerk has no plans. Meanwhile, Juleech makes her own plans since this is the first time she will be with SerJerk on his birthday.

Fabian chides SerJerk for firing Martin. SerJerk doesn’t back down and tells him to finalize Martin’s firing.

Gonzo is with Lorena and makes sorry excuses for not spending time with her. Lorena offers to help him out financially, but Gonzo refuses to accept her savings.

Karina nervously chats with Carlota and things get awkward when she mentions that “they all know” that Martin is not a good cook; Carlota wonders how Karina knows.

Alicia is at the foundation. When she asks Mercedes about Marcela and Luna, Marcela lies and tells her that they didn’t show up. Meanwhile, Lucas is listening while Alicia complains about Lucas and tells Mercedes that she needs her help regardless of whether Lucas wants her (Alicia) there or not.

Eva is still with Miranda who tells her that she wants a hamburger (trying to get rid of her). After Eva leaves, Miranda quickly gets up.

Martin is home and tells the girls about his father getting shot in the arm. After Karina leaves, Carlota is glad that she finally left. Sofia tells Carlota not to worry about Karina since Carlota is the perfect woman for Martin. Martin then tells them that he got fired.

SerJerk catches up to Diablo at the bar to negotiate Diablo’s return to the station. SerJerk mentions his birthday, but right now his personal life is in shambles despite having won the award and having a successful career. Diablo agrees that SerJerk is a great reporter, but he has doubts about him as a human being (so do we!!).

 

Ep 20: Martin’s Out of Job But Feels like Dancin’ Part 3

Eva returns to Miranda’s room and finds that she is gone!! Meanwhile, Miranda sneaks out. She is seen by the guards and chased down the stairs where they catch her.

At the prison, Cholo is harassed by ugly bald guy. Cholo loses and beats and kicks bald guy’s sidekick after Cholo tells them that he doesn’t have the money they are demanding. The guards show up and take Cholo away…otra vez!

Miranda is returned to her hospital only to be scolded and lectured by Eva. Miranda insists that she is fine and has something important to do. Eva threatens that if her parents find out about this, they will get into a fight again. Miranda succumbs to Eva’s threats.

Culebra is at his hangout when a new guy shows up. After he is told that Cheneque invited the new guy to join them, Culebra grimaces.

Gonzo shows up at Fedora’s once again. He asks if Samuel is her novio, but Fedora doesn’t want to talk about her private life. Gonzo then tells her that the meeting with her ex didn’t go well since her ex treated him like another one of her lovers. Fedora consoles him with her lips. (Ughhhh!)

Moises tells Yuri that Cholo got into a fight once again and adds that Cholo has serious problems…he is violent…and a murderer for sure!

At the hospital, Miranda asks Alicia for some alone time since she needs to make a phone call. Enigma calls Culebra who doesn’t accept her excuses for not showing up and basically tells her that she knows where the door is.

SerJerk asks Alicia how things went at the foundation. Alicia tells him that she gets bad vibes from Lucas who seems to be hiding something. When SerJerk insinuates that she stay home, she says no way! SerJerk then tells her that Martin no longer works at the station…Martin was the one who spread the rumors. When Alicia defends Martin, SerJerk wonders why she defends Martin so much and asks if they are friends.

Martin is home thinking about Alicia when his thoughts are interrupted by Sofia calling him for dinner.

Juleech tells Blondie (friend) that she is preparing a surprise for SerJerk’s birthday.

At Martin’s place, Martin feels like dancing and pulls Carlota over to dance. Sofia thinks that is how they should always be. They hen discuss sleeping arrangements.

At the hospital, Alicia insists that she is not defending Martin who just seems like a good person. When SerJerk insists that she doesn’t know Martin, Alicia argues that people can know a person for many years and the person can still surprise them…just like she knew SerJerk for 30 years and he still surprised her. SerJerk wonders how he can get her to forgive him; so Alicia tells him it’s useless since she no longer trusts him. When SerJerk tells her that his relationship with Juleech is over, Alicia doesn’t buy it since they are always together. When she asks how many meetings they had that ended up in bed. SerJerk then proposes that he will fire Juleech so that he can get her out of his life…only if Alicia will forgive him. (Groveling Liar! Liar! Pants on Fire!)

RgvChick, your recap has me laughing this morning from the beginning “Martin’s Out of a Job but Feels Like Dancin’ “ to the end “Grovelng Liar! Liar! Pants on Fire.” Thanks for your excellent coverage of this episode. So sorry that this time you couldn’t escape from Gonzo and Fedora locking lips.

You know, Sergio’s offer to fire Julieta was quite self-serving because he now has realized what a threat she is professionally. Wouldn’t it be great for him to be able to chalk it up in his own little mind as saving his marriage rather than perhaps his career?

Fedora’s ex was a hoot recognizing immediately that Fedora had gotten her claws into Gonzo.

Are we going to have dueling birthday parties?

Rgv Chick, your wit and wry humor were on full display. I'll echo Jarifa in enjoying your perfect title and fantastic last line.

"Juleech wants to take over but she tells him that she only wanted to help him (out the door)" was great. Juleech does appear to have talent. Sergio was perfectly content to have her languish in his shadow, only on the periphery of the spotlight. Had she not been blindly ambitious, that is where she would have stayed. Breaking up any family is loathsome but she couldn't have done it without Sergio. He bears equal blame (at a minimum) and it was satisfying to see someone else in the limelight.

"Carlota wonders how Karina knows". This entire scene was just painful. Karina's awkwardness and Carlota's naiveté was equally disturbing.

Cholo's descent into prison life is hastening.

One of the most upsetting scenes to me was Eva managing to thwart Miranda's escape. If it had been under Alicia's watch, Miranda would have no doubt gotten away. Eva's tongue lashing worked on Miranda as well. Ack.

"Fedora consoles him with her lips. (Ughhhh!)" - both are hugely disappointing.

Diablo is a good friend. How many times has Martin gotten a call and disappeared without explanation? I have to smile. And while he was upset at being fired, we've never seen him livid or out of control. Sergio should take notes.

Diana, of course, Eva would keep Miranda’s attempted escape a secret from her parents. What a witch! Eva undercuts Alicia’s authority every chance she gets.

I felt bad for Karina and Carlota but was impressed by Sofía who seemed to be able to finesse the situation to make it as palatable as possible.

Cannot wait until tonight!

Off to run errands and enjoy the great outdoors! Only 75 today before the 90’s return.

Glad you are having a bit of a reprieve from the heat. We are into the high 60's after days of near 100 heat.

I have to say that Alicia is holding up rather well as she continues to resist SerJerk's attempts at a reconcialiation despite all the undermining from Eva and guilt trips from her daughters and SerJerk.

Diana, regarding martin, "And while he was upset at being fired, we've never seen him livid or out of control." He does have a way of maintatining control doesn't he? But sometimes I get a bit frustrated with his nonchalant attitude. He'll have a bit of a fit, but then he's smiling, thinking about Alicia...and now dancing! Makes me want to hit him over the head LOL

Cholo's situation is just so sad, but he doesn't help matters with his anger issues.

"I felt bad for Karina and Carlota but was impressed by Sofía who seemed to be able to finesse the situation to make it as palatable as possible." That little girl is trying so hard to get her parents back together, but like Diana noted, "none of them realize Martin's heart lies elsewhere..."; Sofia is in for some big disappointments.

Diana, ANY scene with Eva is uspetting. I wish Scottie was in this so he could beam her to another universe...or maybe into the Black Hole :-)
 

Embajador S2 #27 part 1

Nare is in Grandpa’s room finishing her packing when Melek calls to her mom, they're here. Nare replies she’s coming. Before she leaves the room, she stops in front of Grandpa Efe’s pic and tells him, thank you for protecting me with your shield. She looks around the room, Melek comes in and takes her hand and looks around as well. They leave.

Nare and Melek walk out the mansion gate and everyone is waiting there to say goodbye. There’s lots of hugging, kissing and crying until Sancar says, enough is enough, come on, stop crying. But he’s got tears in his eyes, too, so he says, or let's cry. Let's do it here and not at the airport.

Gediz is on the phone with Kman. He’s steamed. If you knew what Menekse had done, he says to Kman, why the hell didn't you tell me? Kman shoots back, how would I know you would get Menekse in on this? We are partners, you’re the boss and you made a mistake. Zehra won. If you hit me now, I swear you'll be left alone.

At this moment, Muge shows up unnoticed and hears Gediz say, just pray that Sancar doesn't find you, because before throwing Akin off the cliff, he might decide to finish you off first. Whoa. Muge looks at her watch and dashes away before she is noticed by Gediz.

Sancar leaves the terminal looking at the picture Melek drew for his birthday. He looks back one last time then makes a quick call, I'll be there in ten minutes, get ready. He gets in his truck and as he drives off, Muge comes running to the terminal. She looks around, wondering if she can still catch Nare before her flight.

Nare and Melek exit the terminal. They have decided to stay! Nare and Muge spot each other and Muge hurries over to her. Nare tells her, we couldn’t leave. Muge pulls her away from Melek. Nare asks, what happened? Muge delivers the bad news, Sancar will throw Akin off the cliff! What, she asks, but what about the police? Then she realizes that Sancar lied to her, and she panics, he didn’t, he didn’t! She asks Muge to take Melek to the mansion and don't say anything to anyone. She tells Melek, go to the mansion. I have things to do and then I'll come back, don't ask any questions. Nare runs off.

Outside near Kman’s place, Sancar is talking to one of his men. Are you ready, he asks? The man answers, yes, sir, we’re ready and in position. We see a few men with guns drawn. Sancar asks about Loki. The man tells him, we took him out of one of Kman’s wearhouses.
Loki is sitting in a nearby car all beaten up. Sancar goes over to Loki. He doesn’t let Loki kiss his hand. Loki explains, Kahraman locked me up because I saw Akin and Menekse. Sancar tells Loki not to worry, they will be held accountable. Sancar tells the men, this is it, it’s our turn.

Ceylan says she’s dying of curiosity. [she’ll be lucky if she doesn’t die from a bullet.] Why are there so many men at our door? Kman is not really listening. He’s at the patio table with his head in his hand and his leg is shaking. Ceylan takes note and asks, do you have a problem and your life is in danger? Kman replies, my problem is Sancar. Uh, oh, what do you mean by that? Kman tells her if Sancar is free, he will come looking for him. I helped Akin and he will come to destroy me, he says, understand? She lets out a little gasp.

No sooner does he say this than shots ring out. Kman takes out his gun, grabs Celyan and yells at her to get in the house. Kman turns away from her to come face to face with Sancar and his gun. Sancar tells Kman, I came to settle accounts. It’s time to pay. Sancar shoots Kman and reloads. He stands over Kman and says, say hello to Akin in hell, you will soon meet each other there.

Embajador S2 #27 part 2

Nare shows up at the shack and looks up at the mountain. She starts climbing. We see Kavruk sitting in the field [hmm… like he was on Nare and Sancar’s wedding night.] He’s twisting his engagement ring [why is he still wearing it?] Nare makes it to the top in her designer boots and surprises Nedim and Akin.

She tells Nedim, Sancar allowed me to talk to Akin, leave us alone. Nedim starts a mild objection, but ... Nare interrupts him, your boss is down there. She looks at Akin and says, I have to settle accounts with this bastard, then you can do whatever you want with him. Nedim objects again, you shouldn't do this, señora. Nare makes her case, please, Nedim, look, his hands are tied, he can't do anything to me. Come on, go. Nedim heads down.

Nare starts to untie Akin. [bad move] She angrily spouts, I told you. I told you that your damn blood would not contaminate us!

Sancar makes his way up and meets Nedim on his way down. Sancar asks, what are you doing here? Nedim replies, Nare is talking to that bastard, I carried out your orders, sir. Sancar doesn’t understand, [Turkish] Nare flew away today, what are you talking about? Nedim realizes his mistake and Sancar is alarmed. Did you leave Nare alone with him? An affirmative. Sancar runs up to the top.

Nare has untied the bastard. Understand that you can't win, she shouts at him, [Turkish] stay away from me and my legend! Get out of here! Sancar reaches the top and gasps…Nare. She turns to face him. She’s dazed and crying.

Reminiscent of when he tried to talk her out of jumping from the cliff, Sancar holds his hand out to her and urges her to come to him. Akin takes this time to study the situation and contemplate his next move. Nare sobs at Sancar, promise me, promise me. You won't dirty your hands with his blood, promise me. Sancar tries to keep an eye on Akin and asks Nare once again to come to him.

Nare tells Sancar [Turkish], I came back to you ... Sancar is stunned and he starts to smile… Nare continues, you won't go to prison, promise me. Sancar replies, did you come back to me? He holds out his hand again, let’s go. Stupid Nare is still holding out, you must promise me, do it. While Sancar’s eyes are on Nare, Akin seizes his opportunity. He grabs Nare in a headlock.

Sancar shouts, wait! No! Wait! Leave her! Kavruk can hear Efe’s shouts from down below, and he looks up at the mountain. Sancar continues to plead, let her go! Let her go! Sancar slowly moves closer and looks at the drop. Nare sobs and Akin makes a proposal to Sancar, let us leave here or we will jump together into the void. Sancar puts his hands up in a silent plea to stop. A very desperate Akin yells, you decide, Sancar!

Sancar has made a decision. In a trancelike state, he says, it’s impossible, Akin. Never. The alaca kuş cannot breathe if you are alive. It’s impossible. Sancar gives Akin his decision, let's jump together and the alaca kuş will fly away from here...

Sancar reaches out and pulls Nare out of Akin’s hold. He grabs on to the bastard Akin and with a yell, he takes him over the edge of the cliff! Kavruk watches them fall. Nare looks over the edge and breaks her vow, SANCAR! SANCAR! Do you think he heard his name before he hit the ground?

The Efeoglus are keeping vigil at the hospital. Elvan is praying [originally in Arabic so I can’t translate it.], her family needs her. We will be devastated without her. Please let the doctors save her she can't die now, she can't. She must be with her family. Zehra and Gulsiye are crying. Yahya is speaking to a couple of policemen. Ayse is there for support.

TU AMOR ep 49 part 1

Doctora Rosamaria has just left Patricia and Valentina at Guillermo's house. Adelaida and Nora have returned from shopping with loads of bags. You don't waste time do you Nora?, says Pat. No, Nora responds, I can't, I have to learn to be as shallow as you. What are you doing here?, she asks Valentina. Tell them, says Pat, they brought Ricardo here in an ambulance because he was looking for you and it provoked another crisis. Val responds that it clearly wasn't her fault. He hasn't been following his treatments. Are you satisfied with my version?, she asks Patricia. Pat responds, Adelaida, I'll leave you with the ex-sisters. It must have been new for you , Nora, shopping in civilization. It's 1000 times better than in a market Enjoy your position as a rich girl.

Enrique comes to Guillermo's office and asks why he needs him. Call mother Aurora and tell her when the donations are in the orphanage account, say Guillermo. I already did, Enrique answers, it was only a matter of retracing the money and putting it in the proper account. Guillermo says he's naming Nora as president of the foundation. He tells him to get the documents ready. Enrique heard that Guillermo is ordering additional credit cards for Nora. He says they first have to start the legal process of changing her surname. Humberto is handling it, Gullermo explains. That's why I made him your personal assistant, so he has access to everything, including my business finances. Thanks for telling me, says Enrique. I'm telling you now, says Guillermo. Enrique leaves and runs into Patricia. She's going to be retaking her position on the board of directors to be near him all day every day.

Nora shows off her purchases to Valentina, and Adelaida invites her along on their next shopping trip but she declines. Nora opens a jewelry container and says, Don't think I've forgotten about you Valentina, take it. All of this is too much for Val. Adelaida tells her to take it. She said she authorized the purchase. Give me your hand says Nora and puts a pretty bracelet on her sister's wrist, She puts an identical one on her own. Look, they're the same, Nora says. We'll always wear them so you don't forget me. She seems to genuinely appreciate Valentina's hug.

At Consuelo's, everyone is happy because Camila is going back to work and Hector and Helena are novios again. Take good care of her, says Connie. Why, is she sick?, Mina asks. No, says Connie, I mean as a novia. Are you glad they're back together? Well, yes, says Mina, for my papa. I like the blond one, don't I abuela? Hector tells her he's happy to hear that.

Horacio comes into the kitchen while Mina works on her homework. Consuelo asks him if he'd like something to eat. No, he'll grab something at the booth. Well, Connie says, OK, but I don't think a torta from Catwoman will be as good as my stew. Horacio says her name is Leoparda, not Catwoman (Gatubela). But you know what?, I'll take a little coffee. Why don't you ask her?, says Connie. Because nobody makes coffee like you, he answers.

 

TU AMOR ep 49 part 2

Valentina and Helena are talking at the shop. Helena still can't believe that Nora is her sister. Valentina can't either and she also has to put up with all of Patricia's claims. This isn't your fault, Helena says. Claudio comes in and says Val runs to Ricardo's side whenever he is sick. That's not fair, Val says, I help him as I would anyone. So, you're going to help every person that looks sick on the street?, Claudio asks. I'll wait outside, Helena tells them.

Hector is cleaning out his car at the cab stand. Luna tells him he needs to apply himself more with his cab runs. She's running out of excuses to tell the customers. Are you still working for Patricia?, she asks. I'm taking night classes. Sometimes Mina has to help me with the homework. That's so cool, Luna says, no wonder you look so happy. And I got back with Helena, he says. Luna tells him she's glad. She doesn't mind sharing him. You're always going to be my best friend and you know it, he says. Help me with my car.

Helena tells Claudio they can't wait another day for their lace. Claudio says he talked to a senior customs official and he's freed the shipment. That lace from Valencia is irreplaceable, says Helena. She gets a call from Leonardo. he says customs told him the package was already picked up. How, if you have the tracking number? Someone stole the lace, Helena says. I must admit that Helena has excellent taste, Yolanda tells Beba as she inspects the lace in her office. Beba responds that she was very discreet and we see a flashback of her theft. She carelessly removes her classes for a moment as she interacts with the customs agent. Later, Leonardo shows up at Yolanda's. Satisfied? he asks. Not yet, Yolanda responds. She steps into his embrace and they kiss passionately.

Patricia is standing next to her car with the hood raised. She's asking a man what he can do to her car so that it doesn't run. He's never been asked something like that before he says but what the heck. Later, Hector checks evrything out and asks Patricia to try the ignition. The car fires right up. You saved me Hector, she says, in spite of everything, you're here. We're friends, he says, thanks for telling me about that video because I don't want problems with Helena. Don't worry, she tells him. Call me OK? He walks away and, watching him in the mirror, she tells herself, I love you and you fascinate me. Sooner or later you'll be mine.

Claudio tells Valentina they need to talk. For one reason or another Ricardo keeps coming between them. We can't let it affect us, Val tells him. I can't just be rid of Ricardo. We grew up together and he was my novio. I was happy at the ranch. I can't just erase those memories. At the end of the day he's my friend. And you're not happy now he asks? All this time I've learned to be quiet and endure. I'm capable of anything to make you happy but I'm suffering too. Ricardo is going to die, says Valentina, don't be selfish, I have to help him. Don't you think I'm afraid?, Claudio asks. That I'm not jealous? I'm sick of it. You won't leave Ricardo so I have to sacrifice myself. You're a woman one finds only once in their life, but we can't go on like this. Make a decision. No, please my love, Val says through tears, don't make me do this. I'll respect your decision, he says, with him or with me.
 

Embajador S2 #27 part 3

Refika comes running in and asks Elvan, how is she? Did she survive? They cry. A door opens and everyone rushes over. Halise is wheeled out on a bed. She is not conscious. The doctor says, this is her second heart attack. If she suffers one more, she will not bear it. Lots of crying. And the family follows Halise to her room.

Refika takes Elvan aside, did this happen when she found out about her son? Elvan replies, the police came to tell us that Sancar shot Kahraman. When she learned they were looking for him, she fainted. They cry and go to catch up to the others.

We see Ceylan peeking around the corner. She’s crying, too, and takes the stairs up to check on Kman. She asks Kman’s men, what happened? What did the doctor say? Will Kahraman be alright? Celyan gets the bad news, it will be difficult for him to survive the surgery. Ceylan gasps and sits. She holds her pregnant belly and sobs.

Yahya is speaking to police officers who have some questions. He tries to put them off, we already told you, we don't know where my brother is. If he was the one who shot Kahraman, he will surrender. Now is not the moment. My mother just had a heart attack, and we want to be at peace. The police go.

Refika tells everyone they took Gediz to the station to question him, too. Elvan sets things into motion. I will go to the mansion with Gulsiye to pack a suitcase, she says, I'll stay here with my mother-in-law.

Halise wakes up and murmurs, Sancar, my son... Sancar… She asks, where is he? Do you know anything? She begins to cry, he didn't do it, did he? Tell me Sancar didn't shoot Kahraman. My son is not a murderer. [well…] Where is my son? I want to see my Sancar, she cries.

Nare runs and falls, dropping her phone [designer boots are not meant for the mountains, girl!]. She gets up and continues on her way. We see two bodies, Akin face down and Sancar a short distance away on his side.

Elvan and Gulsiye are preparing a bag to take to the hospital. Gulsiye offers to stay with Halise, but Elvan doesn’t want to leave Halise tonight. She tells Gulsiye she can stay with Halise tomorrow. The doorbell rings. Who could it be at this time? Hopefully not more bad news. Elvan goes to the door.

It’s Melek! With a big smile she announces, Elvan, we returned to the mansion. She blows past Elvan to find her father. Dad! Where is my dad? Muge comes up the walk and into the house. Elvan asks, what's going on? Why did they come back? Do they know he shot Kahraman?

Muge can’t believe this. She says, did he shoot him, too? Elvan asks, what else did Sancar do? Melek returns and asks Elvan, where’s my dad? I can’t find him. Elvan sends her off to look so the adults can talk. Elvan repeats, what else did Sancar do? Muge takes a breath and says, nobody can know, okay? Sancar took Akin to the cliff to throw him off. I told Nare to stop him, she cries, but I don't know if she made it on time.

Elvan and Gulsiye process the shock. Elvan snaps into action. She tells Gulsiye, you will go to the hospital. Tell them I sent you to stay with my MIL. I'll take care of Melek and remember, keep your mouth closed. Go. Gulsiye and Muge leave, and Elvan shuts the door. She leans against it and sighs, [in Turkish] Allah, of course you know better, but haven’t this Efe and his alaca kuş been through enough? When will their suffering end? Elvan goes off to find Melek.

Nare finds Akin and checks for a pulse. Nothing. She sees Sancar and freezes. She takes a breath and then freaks out, don't do this to me. Sancar, Sancar, don't do this to me, please. Don’t do it. You can't leave us, don't do this to our Melek. [this is your fault, Nare, you untied Akin.]

TU AMOR ep 49 part 3

Claudio and Leonardo go to customs to find out what happened. The sheet with the tracking number is fake but looks identical to the real one. The agent can't give a good description of the thief because they wore a cap and dark glasses. Claudio can see the security camera video but it will take about 48 hours to recover. That won't do any good Helena tells him when he comes back to her office. Leonardo says, If you would have put me in charge from the beginning none of this would have happened; at least you'd have the lace in your hands. I hope that after this you'll take me more into account and value me more.

Sister Aurora invited Consuelo to the orphanage to tell her something. Adelaida insisted that she invite her to a celebration the foundation is having for the orphanage. Connie says it's been a long time since she's seen Adelaida. Sister reminds her that God does things for a reason. Connie says it will surely be an elegant affair and she has nothing to wear. You can design something very pretty, says sister, besides you don't need any embellishment. You're beautiful on both the inside and outside.

Helena wants to be alone with Camila when she tells her the news. She should get ready because they'll be going to fashion week in Madrid. This causes an unexpected reaction. Camila is grateful but she says she can't go. Why are you crying?, Helena asks, Isn't this the opportunity you wanted? Yes, it's what I've always dreamed about but I'm terrified of getting on a plane again.

Two thugs come to Leoparda's booth. They advise her to pay her protection money. They wouldn't want anything to happen to her or her business. She says she's not going to give them one centavo. We don't want anything bad to happen to you, they tell her, that's why we're asking you to pay for protection. Leopardo tells Horacio that Perro and Brochas were just in her shop. She says they frightened her. What did they say?, Horacio asks. That if I don't pay something bad will happen to me or my shop. Don't worry, he says, I'm going to fix it.

Yolanda has Nora in her office and tells her that she'll be brief. She saw her at Helena's show and despite being unorthodox Nora brought attention which is essential in a model. And you don't know the number of followers I have online, says Nora. The whole world is asking me when I'll return to modeling. They want to see me again, look, I'll show you she says, taking out her phone. No, that's not necessary dear, I believe you. I know very well what I'm doing. So, tell me, do you accept my proposal or not?

 

TU AMOR ep 49 part 4

Ricardo tells Adelaida that he needs to see Valentina. If he has another attack he'll die and he needs to see her before that happens. He says he has to talk to her about something that only concerns them. He also has a secret, he says, like everyone in this house. I fooled Valentina and I have to tell her.

Nora comes to Guillermo's office and he offers to take her on a tour of the business. Hola, Guillermo, Patricia says as they meet her in the hall. This is Patricia's office, he says. You have an office?, Nora asks. You're looking at it. You work?, says Nora. What do you think girl? I thought you only liked to bother others, Nora responds. Shall we continue papa?

Enrique and Patricia walk the halls talking about how Guillermo is showing off his daughter to the world. Pat says she knows Enrique is still mad at her. I'm going to charge you dearly for the embezzlement, he tells her. And I'm going to pay you in gold, she says, rubbing up against him.

Nora shows up at Helena's shop and greets Helena, Valentina, and Camila . How, are you sisters?, she asks. Helena says, I know I haven't spoken to you since we found out we were sisters Nora. Excuse me for that. Valentina says she's really glad that Nora came back to the shop. No, I came to give you some great news, Nora says. At this time, you're looking at the new top model of Olimpo Pratas. (????)


 

Embajador S2 #27 part 4

She makes her way over to Sancar and stands over him for a few seconds before checking for a pulse. She checks…and….she breaks out into big sobs…. You left me…. you left me... cue Alacanin Efesi, their song. She moves closer to Sancar. She touches his head, his face. She tells him, I was the alaca kuş, why did you fly? [the title of the Turkish episode] Why did you rewrite our legend?

She slides up next to him, moves him into her arms and strokes his face. She continues to sob. Then she gives him a kiss on the lips and a kiss on the forehead. Nare tells Sancar, you can't leave before hearing me break my promise, Sancar Efe. Sancar must have heard her because there’s tiny breath and a slight movement.

Nare’s tears of sorrow turn into tears of joy. You are alive…. you are alive…. She repeats over and over. Kavruk and Nedim come running. Kavruk shouts, Sancar Efe! Nare takes off her jacket and places it like a pillow under Sancar’s head. When Kavruk and Nedim show up, she joyfully announces, he’s alive, Kavruk, he's alive. Kavruk says this is a miracle, Sancar is still alive. But he's bleeding a lot. Kavruk goes to lift Sancar but Nare stops him. Don't move him, it could be dangerous.

Nare is crying and gasping, she’s lost her phone. She asks for Nedim’s phone to call an ambulance. Then she remembers Akin. She points to him and tells Nedim and Kavruk, before the ambulance arrives, bury him. Dig a hole and bury him. Kavruk tells the alaca kuş, it’s useless. Sancar shot Kahraman in front of many people.

Nare does not make the call. What about the police, she asks? Are they looking for Sancar? Kavruk nods. She says we can’t call an ambulance. [Why not? A clear choice between jail or death] Nare cries, what are we going to do? She thinks, how about a doctor? She asks Kavruk, do you know a doctor who can keep a secret? [of course, most TNs have them] Yes, Dr. Tesin! Kavruk sends Nedim off to get him. Tell him Sancar is bleeding, hurry up, go!

Nare has another (bright) idea and asks Kavruk, do you think the police will come looking for Sancar at the shack? Kavruk says, no, the deed is not in his name, so they won't go there. [yeah, but people know he goes there, namely Gediz] Nare says, good, let's take him there. Quick, we don't have much time. Before she leaves, she tells Sancar to stay with her. [Turkish] Don’t you dare die. She gives him a kiss on the forehead and takes off.

At the shack, Nare tells Kavruk to remove the door so they can use it as a stretcher. The hinges are rusted so Nare finds an ax. While Kavruk chops at the door, Nare goes into the shack. The bed… she stands before the bed. Nare stands there for a while and takes a deep breath before she can grab the sheet off the bed. Kavruk has the door loose and they carry it out to Sancar.

Embajador S2 #27 part 5

Melek is at the stable looking around and shouting for her father. Dad! Dad! She looks disappointed, a little sad.

Kavruk and Nare have managed to bring Sancar back to the shack. She tells Kavruk to get the first aid kit from the car. While the doctor is on the way, we can clean his wounds. Nare unties the pieces of the sheet they used to carry Sancar on the door. She implores Sancar, to hold on, hold on my love, the doctor is on his way. Kavruk brings the kit.
Kavruk is concerned for Nare but she tells him she is fine. Until the Efe of the alaca kuş (alacanin efesi) improves, she says, the legend belongs to me. She cuts and rips Sancar’s shirt and gets to work.

Elvan is playing a game with Melek chasing her around the house and gets a phone call. She thinks it’s Nedim. It’s Nare. Melek asks who is it? Mom or Dad? Nare is upset to hear Melek’s voice through the phone. She will have to be careful. She directs Elvan, don't tell her it's me. As she cries, she says, tell her that her parents will stay out tonight because they have many things to talk about. Their phones ran out of battery. They saw Nedim and told him to call.

This is what Elvan tells Melek. Melek asks why did Nedim call. Why didn’t her parents call earlier? I wanted to tell my dad that I came home to him, she says [ugh!]. Nare hears this and cries some more.

Elvan tries to explain, your parents can’t think straight now. They are very much in love and when those things happen you lose your mind. She adds for Melek’s benefit, right, Nedim? Nare tells Elvan, we have to talk alone. Can you get away from Melek? Elvan pretends to end the call with a see you later.

Elvan tells Melek she’s tired of running, let's play hide and seek. Melek agrees. Elvan says she will count to 100. Hide well, Melek, because when I find you, I will tickle you! Melek runs off and Elvan runs into the kitchen to continue the call.

Nare asks if there any news about Kahraman? Is he alive? Nare puts her on speaker. Elvan fills them in, he is alive, but in serious condition, they say he won't survive. The police are looking for Sancar and they are also questioning Gediz about it. When my MIL found out, she had a heart attack.

Elvan asks the big question, were you able to stop Sancar in time? Nare’s too upset to answer and looks at Kavruk, she looks at Sancar. Elvan asks Nare, tell me you did it. Tell me Sancar didn't kill Akin, please. Nare sobs and tries to catch her breath to compose herself. She finally answers, to save me, he jumped off the cliff with Akin. Elvan sinks down.

And we are out.

I cringe thinking what a tough mother Eva must have been. I do think Alicia used to love Sergio but I wouldn't be surprised if Eva gave her a shove in that direction. Even if Alicia had "tried" anything she wouldn't have gotten away with anything with Eva...

Martin is a bit too calm. I guess I like my galans hot tempered and hot blooded. Not too hot tempered but definitely with fire...

JoelD, an extremely eventful episode with things ramping up and unraveling, one after the other. You covered it perfectly.

I can’t tell you how much your detailed translations mean. Without them, there would be so much that I missed including these delicious exchanges: “You don't waste time do you Nora?, says Pat. No, Nora responds, I can't, I have to learn to be as shallow as you”. OMG! Meowww. The retort “It must have been new for you , Nora, shopping in civilization” was just as juicy.

Valentina has already chosen Claudio. He is jealous and resentful of a dying man. Forcing her hand at this point was a huge mistake and will cost him dearly.

Helena had such good intentions with Camila and is usually so thoughtful. I’m surprised she didn’t realize Camila wouldn’t want to fly. That said, Helena is really a pillar of strength. No matter how many setbacks she has had (and there have been many) she continues going forward, with dedication and determination. I’m sad that she’s now been deprived of her true sister, having to settle for second best. I’m dreading as to when and how Patty is going to pull the rug out from under her happiness.

I was shocked at the matching bracelets. “She seems to genuinely appreciate Valentina's hug”. All her life Valentina has been looking out for Nora. Perhaps Nora felt genuinely happy to be able to do something for Valentina. She has never had the opportunity or means to do anything (good) for anyone else.

I’m enjoying the little dance between Horacio and Consuelo.

Between Humberto and Patricia does Enrique stand ANY chance?

So untold riches aren’t enough. Nora will add fame and adoration to her resume harming all of those who have loved (or tolerated) her the most.

O.M.G. what an episode . These people must be made of titanium . Nare and San both fell off that mountain and survived . Akin...not so much.. Finally good bye and good riddence. And San looked pretty fine after that fall. Loki looked worse. I just couldn't suspend my disbelief at Nare staring , hugging, kissing San . really ? He just fell off a mountain onto the rocks below.

I have had it with Nare. My beanie exploded when she got rid of Nedim and untied the Devil . Wait? What? I have had enough of Nare. She has put San in danger time after time .

Now Helloosie and Kman are in the same hospital.

And Melek's pure joy as she enters the mansion calling for her beloved Dad. Geez ....the writers love to squeeze our hearts. Uff

P.s. I read the recaps for Hercai last night. Yikes. Those honor killings . I had a student who told me that if his sister became pregnant out of wedlock that he or his father would kill her . I didn't believe him. I guess I should have.

Yes, Nare really pissed me off. She comes back just in time to set up a disaster for Sancar. This is the second time Nare’s stubbornness and stupidity left her Efe at death’s door.

She thought he was dead so of course she gave him hugs and kisses, and yeah, she said his name, something she didn’t do while he tried everything to earn her forgiveness.

Earlier in the story, Rgv Chick commented that Sancar would have to swim an ocean, leap a building, and climb a mountain to get Nare’s forgiveness. I LOL’d when I read that because I knew what was coming. He’s done two of those things now and if you can count buying Kman’s marina and giving Melek his shares for the building, he’s done all three. Do you think she will forgive him now?

Poor Melek. Maybe her father should have continued to fight for custody.

Told ya you’d need your beanie…don’t get rid of it yet and get a backup.

Diana, Thanks for your comments about the translations. The gals in this TN come up with some pretty good insults don't they. Ha. There is no way that Claudio should be giving Valentina an ultimatum. She always does the right thing and in this case the right thing to do is stick by her childhood sweetheart. She can't control what Claudio will do and I think that's why she's so despondent. He's hurting too bad to think clearly. I was also surprised that Helena seemed kind of clueless at first that Camila might have some issues with flying. She's pretty caring so she'll probably figure out a solution.

So now as he approaches death Ricardo seems to want to meet with Val for a good reason--to tell her that her name is on that bank account of embezzled money. If he can't see her, what kind of legal problem could that cause for her? Diana, I too love how Nora returns Patricia's taunts. It was nice that Nora gave Val that lovely bracelet. I'm disappointed in Claudio too, Diana. He's back to being a jealous poor sport. But I guess the writers had to create some conflict. And I think Val would help anyone who looked sick on the street (as she did Guillermo). She is that good! With the lace theft, Yolanda has now committed an actual crime. What a hypocrite Leonardo is! Yep, Diana. Helena seems a bit insensitive when she doesn't realize immediately why Camila doesn't want to fly to Madrid. (Wonder how long a boat would take). Also, the market thugs put in another appearance. I had wondered where they were.

Thanks, Dondi. Whoa, the pendulum sure swings on this show. I was on such a high when Sancar triumphed in the board room and Meanie had to slink away. I'm still wondering if we'll get a flashback of Yahya telling Sancar about Dudu's latest blackmail.

But even back then, I was ready for Nare to just go to Switzerland. All the crying drove me nuts. Elvan and Zehra are saints with endless patience and comfort to offer her.

Now she's gone and untied Akin -- who never would've stopped going after her and I'm sure would've bribed his way out of prison -- and turned her back on him way up high on a cliff. My word! The scene of Melek looking for her daddy, just heartbreaking. And I'm not convinced Akin is gone for good.

Our patio may be small but Joel's recaps and our conversations are thought provoking and extremely gratifying.

JoelD, Valentina has been wearing a veil of sadness. If Ricardo weren't enough, you can see how heartbroken that she is "losing" Nora. Her love for her sister is seemingly stalwart and has somewhat blinded her to Nora's true nature (certainly not for all Nora's "imperfections" but most).

"Val would help anyone who looked sick on the street (as she did Guillermo). She is that good!" was perfectly descriptive SpanProf and oh, so true!

It appears Claudio has come to his senses so he is spared a verbal lashing by me :)

Embajador S2 #28 part 1

I got two words for this episode: HOLY COW!! I didn’t want to watch this again, but the show must go on…

Nare has just told Elvan that Sancar jumped over the cliff with Akin. Elvan is stunned. Melek runs into the kitchen and says, I'm tired of waiting, I've been hiding for a long time, come on, Elvan. Nare hears her daughter, and she wipes more tears.

Nare gives Elvan instructions, I will tell my daughter everything once her father gets better. Neither you nor Muge will tell anyone about what happened, understand? Tell them he fled after shooting Kahraman. Nare finishes the call, Elvan please take care of my daughter while I take care of her father. Poor little Melek is waiting patiently with a smile.

Gediz is being interrogated. The cop asks him again, where is Sancar Efeoglu? And Gediz answers him again, I don’t know. The cop asks, he shot Karaman, right? Gediz claims he doesn't know. The cop says, you wouldn’t tell me even if you knew, right? Your partnership ended, but not the loyalty [it’s barely there but good to see Gediz is keeping his mouth shut.]

The cop tries another angle, if you don't know why Sancar shot Karaman, what were your men doing in front of his house? Gediz fakes surprise, they were there? Maybe they were looking for another job, maybe I don't pay them enough. The cop is annoyed, do you think I’m an idiot, Mr. Gediz? No, officer. The cop continues, according to Kahraman’s men, your men were there to protect him. And curiously, they left before Sancar Efeoglu arrived.

We get a flashback from the day before: Sancar has come to see Gediz. Gediz steps outside with him and snarks, what happened? Did you say goodbye to Nare and come here to cry? Sancar doesn’t miss a beat, no, you lost the company and I wanted to come to console you. Gediz responds, if you throw Akin off the cliff and go to prison, then I will cry for you at the company.

Sancar gets to the reason for his visit. You will tell your men to leave Kahraman’s house; I'll be there in 20 minutes. Gediz smiles, you'll finish him off, too? I knew it. Sancar laughs at Gediz, how lucky you are, at last you're going to get of Akin and Kahraman… the smile leaves Sancar’s face…. and me too, right?

Gediz takes out his phone and makes a quick call. Sancar is on his way. Leave as soon as he arrives. Don't get involved. Gediz asks his ex-partner, are you going to be offended if I don't visit you in jail? A sneer from Sancar and he goes to his truck. Gediz stops him, wait…. Sancar waits for Gediz to speak…. there’s a silent communication between them…. Gediz finally utters--nothing. Sancar answers, [in Turkish] Eyvallah. [a way of saying thank you. In this context, Sancar is using it respectfully, inspite of their differences.] Sancar drives away. Gediz looks a bit guilty or sad, but he did what he felt he had to do. End flashback.

Back to the interrogation. The cop asks, why did your men leave, Mr. Gediz? He answers, it’s not easy to find good men these days.

The doctor arrives at the shack. Kavruk fills him in, he fell off a cliff, has lost a lot of blood and has many broken bones. The doctor checks it out and Kavruk helps him set up an IV. Nare helps by standing there and crying. The doctor tells her, we must take him to the hospital. No way, she replies, we will not go to the hospital. We have to heal him here. The doctor says, that’s impossible, we can’t do anything here. If he stays here, he’ll be dead in two days. Kavruk is trying not to cry.

Nare looks surprised and asks, he will die? [really?] Ok, whatever you say, we'll take him to the hospital. Call an ambulance. Just then, Sancar stirs and Nare rushes to his side. He opens his eyes and whispers… Nare… then closes his eyes again.

Embajador S2 #28 part 2

Nare stands and faces the doctor. She declares, we both fell and did not die. The legend still lives on. We will not take Sancar to the hospital, he will stay here, and he will live, okay? The doctor tries to talk some sense into her, it’s not possible, it’s a miracle that this man is still alive. Nare knows, yes, it’s a miracle. She tells the doctor she appreciates that he came and asks Nedim to accompany the doctor out. Kavruk doesn’t look to sure about this but nods in agreement. They see the doctor out.

Nare keeps the cooler with the blood and kneels by Sancar’s side. Kavruk rushes back in and kneels on the other side of Sancar. He’s starts to panic, the police are looking for Sancar Efe, and he is here about to die. What are we going to do? Nare lays out her plan. First, let's heal Sancar and then we will return his freedom. We will bury Akin. No one should know he died, and if Kahraman survives—Kavruk interrupts, how will we heal Sancar?

Here it comes, folks, grab your beanies! We get a flashback. Nare is recounting Grandpa Efe’s story for Sancar. The whole cowhide in the hideout story.

Nare tells Kavruk they will do it the same as 100 years ago. Your family's inheritance. Kavruk asks, cowhide? You think it will work? Nare says, don't you remember the story? It was 100 years ago when your grandfather saved Sancar’s grandfather by wrapping him in cowhide. You will do the same to save Sancar's life. She asserts, Sancar will survive. Poor Kavruk nods but looks overwhelmed and a little sick. He must be thinking the alaca kuş is a cuckoo.

In the morning Kavruk shows up at the cattle farm shouting for Hasmet Abi. Hasmet comes out to greet Kavruk. Are you coming for meat, he asks? Kavruk says, no, no, today I came to buy a hide. No problem, Hasmet says, we always give them away, I'll search the warehouse for something.

Kavruk says no, I need the skin as fresh as possible, it does not matter if it is clean. I need it to be warm. Hasmet knows realizes away and asks, is everything okay? Is anyone sick? Who will you cover with the skin? Kavruk quickly answers, one of the children--look, I'm in a hurry. Could we choose it now?

Yes, of course, Hasmet says. He’s still very curious and asks, who is it? Do I know who it is? A relative? Kavruk avoids an answer and hurries off with Hasmet to get it done. [Hasmet Abi, do you have any scraps for a cowhide beanie?]

We are back to the shack. Sancar wakes up and starts screaming. [dondi turns the sound down]. Nare does her best to hold him down and keep him calm. Sancar, Sancar, don't move, please. Sancar, you must not move. You have to be strong. She turns his head to look in her direction and continues to plead with him, my love, I beg you, don’t move. He continues to scream.

Look at me, listen to me, look at me, she tells him, here I am. I am here with you. I am here to take care of you (?!) You have lots of fractures and I know it hurts a lot. He tells her, it hurts more because you know this pain. He shouts again.
Nare says, I wish you never knew. It hurts so much to see you like this. Sancar says, we are the same, now, right? We are equal. Nare calls him stupid. Did you have to have to jump just because I did? Sancar screams again.

Kavruk arrives back at the shack. Nare tells Sancar that Kavruk has brought cowhide and they will cover him, just like his grandfather, so he can recover. Okay? [really now, what’s he gonna say?]

Kavruk rushes to Efe’s side, [Turkish] Efem? Poor Efem, you are awake? Be patient, Efem. I may not be able to stop your pain, but if you endure, I will wrap you in this skin and may Allah grant healing. Kavruk instructs Nare clean up any blood and take off his clothes. Hurry up. Bismillah. Kavruk prepares some sort of herbal concoction.

They wrap Sancar in the cowhide. Awful. Nare holds Sancar head and calms him, I know it hurts, but don't move. I am here, I will always be with you, my love.

Montage: Nedim and Kavruk bury the bastard Akin… Kman wakes up in the hospital… Nare arrives back at the mansion. She’s dirty and blood stained.

What was left out in an edit: Ceylan at the ICU window crying over Kman… Halise being questioned by the police… Elvan and Melek feeding Feride the chicken… cop waking Gediz up to continue the interrogation.

Elvan and Melek are at the stable feeding carrots to Gece. I can't understand it, Melek complains, how can they not call for two days? Two days is a long time. Elvan accuses Melek of being bored with her. She “threatens” to call Ayse to stay with her so she can go take care of Halise in the hospital. No, Melek says, I have a lot of fun with you, but I also want to know what my mom and dad talked about. Nare has appeared and has overheard.

Nare calls out, why don't you come here and hug your mother? Melek gasps in surprise and gives her mom a big hug. They missed each other so much. Nare hugs Elvan. Melek asks, and where is dad? Elvan goes inside to check the soup on the stove.

Nare sits her daughter down. Melek senses right away this will be bad news. She asks, didn’t dad come? Didn't you forgive him, mom? Will we leave again? Nare answers, calm down, we're not going anywhere. We will live here forever. Melek is very happy to hear this.

Nare says, look, I need you to be very strong. It will be a difficult time for us. You won't be able to see your father for now, but I promise you will soon. Melek is disappointed and wants to know why.

Nare prepares Melek, I need you to listen to me carefully. Look at me, listen to what I will tell you. You have to be very strong because I will tell you a couple of very difficult things, but there is nothing to worry about, because we are going to solve everything soon. Melek says she understands and will be strong.

Nare starts to explain. Remember how we came to town? I thought I had killed Akin. I brought you here in case I got caught by the police. Melek remembers. Nare tells her daughter, that happened to your father. Melek asks, what did he do? Nare continues, he wanted us to be safe. He ignored the law and went to catch the bad men. Did he? Nare answers, yes, my love, Akin will no longer be able to hurt us. Kahraman was helping him, and now he's in the hospital. Your father committed a crime, and the police are looking for him.

Melek jumps up and says, let's run away. We did it to come here, we can go to another country. Don't let him get caught. Don't separate me from my dad. Nare calls her girl back and they hug. We can't go, Melek, we can't leave our home. Nare has to stay calm to deliver the very hard part, your… your father is hurt.

Embajador S2 #28 part 4

Melek is upset. She puts her head down. Nare says, don't cry, my love, look at me. Look at me, Melek. You promised me that you were going to be strong. Your father needs you to be strong. Melek asks, is dad going to get better? I promise you that I will always be strong but let him get better.

Nare assures her, of course he will. She adds, do you know how he will do it? Your father told you his grandfather’s story, yes? Melek remembers it, they covered him with cowhide, right? Nare explains they use this method here and your father will heal the same way. [no idea why she would want to share this detail with Melek] So sweet how Melek smiles, touches her mother’s face and asks, mother's promise? Nare promises. They hug.

Melek asks when am I going to be able to hug my dad? Nare tells her she has to be very patient. And she has a plan to a plan to free her father. When he gets better, you can both hug.

Meanwhile back at the shack, Sancar is going downhill fast [pun intended, indulge the recapper, please] He has a high fever and is delirious calling for Melek. Kavruk is in a panic thinking of what to do next. A compress of water and vinegar. He mixes up some herbal stuff. It looks like Sancar is having a seizure. Kavruk puts the herbal stuff in Sancar’s mouth. [you never put anything in the mouth of someone having a seizure!]

Poor Kavruk freaks out, this can't be, it doesn't work. What did I do wrong? Sancar starts screaming. Kavruk tries to keep him calm. You have a daughter, he tells Efe, be strong for her. You'll be fine. [thank goodness for another commercial break]

Halise has arrived home from the hospital. Ayse tells the family she’s not going back inside with them. I stayed in the mansion because you were sick, she says to Halise, I also went to the hospital. Now I want to leave. Halise says, you want to leave? You work here.

Ayse replies, I used to. I was going to marry Kavruk and work here. She looks at Zehra and says, however, someone made the man who said yes get up from the table. Zehra nods. Ayse continues, it’s not right that I work in this house. Halise responds, what is not correct is that Kavruk continues working here. She tells Ayse to get to work. Zehra tries to raise an objection, but Halise shuts her down and she will settle with her later.

Halise is in full on bitch mode. She orders everyone inside and to the table. We have many issues to fix, she says. Halise looks at Gulsiye. Gulsiye suggests that Halise get some rest because she just left the hospital. Halise answers, yes, I left the hospital, but I will not rest because Sancar Efe is on the run. Halise Efe is going to take care of everything. Come!

Elvan is there right away to greet her suegra. Glad you came home. Are you feeling better now? Let me kiss your hand… Halise snaps at her, you didn’t come to the hospital these two days, but you are very attentive here. Elvan tries to explain but Halise shuts her up. She doesn’t want to hear any excuses.

Halise tells everyone to sit down and orders Ayse to prepare the hammam. She needs to get rid of the hospital smell. She barks, I said sit down, now. I want you to tell me, is it true that Sancar shot Kahraman? Was it because he (Kman) threatened me? Zehra asks, Kahraman threatened you? Halise answers, yes, that's why I voted for Gediz. He said he didn’t want the person who killed his wife to take over the company. He also said if told Sancar, he was going to kidnap Melek and Zehra.

Zehra asks Yahya, was that the reason you didn't vote for me? Did he threaten you too? Gulsiye looks at Yahya, she knows the reason. Flash to Dudu warning Yahya to vote for Gediz. Yahya takes this perfect opportunity to cover his sin. He lies and says Kman threatened him with the same thing.

Zehra cries and hugs her brother, I can't even look you in the eyes, because I thought you betrayed me. Forgive me, brother. Guilty Yahya responds, don't worry, it's fine. Elvan looks like she feels sorry for Yahya and Gulsiye takes notice. Gulsiye needs to get up from the table. She says, I’ll make tea. Halise curses Kman saying, that’s why Sancar shot him. Oh, my brave son, my great son. Yikes. Now Elvan needs to get up from the table. She will go help Gulsiye in the kitchen.

Elvan says to Gulsiye, if I tell my suegra that Sancar didn't shoot Kahraman because of the threat, but because he helped Akin, and if she finds out he jumped off a cliff with him, she will have another heart attack. [so what are you waiting for? Finish her off, Elvan.]
Gulsiye starts bawling. She can’t look at Elvan. Elvan asks, what happened? Why are you crying?

Flashback. Gulsiye has come to see Sancar. He asks her, are you going to speak at last? Gulsiye says she’s been thinking about it a lot. I don’t want to leave you, she says, but you are right. I can’t return without naming the culprit. If I don’t, it will happen again but I am very afraid to speak. She cries. Sancar takes Gulsiye over to a table and they sit.

He explains, I let Melek and Nare go to Switzerland today. I caught Akin a couple of days ago. I divorced Menekse. I took Kavruk from the wedding table and I'm also going to the olive grove to vote for my sister. I want to get to the truth, and to make amends for my mistakes. My life is full of mistakes, he admits. I'm not going to fix everything in three days, but I'll make the effort. [Turkish] I’m trying to fix my life like I’m repenting, I’m repenting.

Sancar continues, but I failed as a father, not knowing who put those pills in the lemonade. He gets upset with himself, I'm a bad father, right? I curse myself for that! And while my woman and daughter were asleep, I questioned all the employees and the guards, saying, Akin threatened you, and then he gave you money. They were offended by what I did, and I could see it. I was very ashamed, and cursed myself for that, too.

I let Nare down. I am a bad father and a bad family man [he also said bad boss in the original] I am aware that I am wrong to press you in this way. Gulsiye can’t take it any more and blurts out—Menekse. Sancar gets that look. He says, sorry? Gulsiye spills, it was Menekse who gave the pills to Melek.

Sancar can’t believe this…no. Gulsiye nods yes. Sancar thinks she wouldn't dare. She knows I would kill her, he says, besides, what does it have to do with with Akin? [good grief!] It finally clicks, he jumps up, damn it! It’s not possible, how could I not see it?! Gulsiye says, not even the devil would have thought of this.

Sancar asks, why didn’t you mention it? Why did you hide it? What did she threaten you with? Gulsiye sobs, with telling Elvan that your brother Yayha is sleeping with his secretary. Yahya and Dudu are lovers. End flashback.

Embajador S2 #28 part 6

Elvan tries to get Gulsiye to stop crying and tell her what’s wrong. She wants to help her. Gulsiye says, I promise I'll tell you but give me time. Elvan is frustrated, how long? You haven't said what Menekse threatened you with. You kept quiet when she gave Melek the lemonade, you kept quiet when Sancar drove you from the mansion. You left without telling me. You ask me for time, an exasperated Elvan says, but i'm tired of it. Tell the truth now.

Gulsiye continues to cry. She tells Elvan she has something to do before she can tell her. Elvan insists and Gulsiye resists. Gulsiye is sorry because it is something that will hurt her. Elvan will not let up on her and it doesn’t matter to her if it hurts because she is a strong woman.

Gulsiye is saved from Elvan by Halise calling for her. They leave the kitchen. Halise tells Gulsiye to sit, she has questions for her. Yes, that question. What did Menekse threaten you with so you wouldn’t tell she put the pills in the lemonade? Aha, shouts Elvan, you came out of the fire and fell directly on the embers. Gulsiye looks at Yahya. Is she gonna give him up?

Gulsiye answers, señora, I’ll take you to the bath, okay? We will be able to speak alone.
And we are out.

Dondi, I just had to comment before I even read your recap. Holy cow, indeed. Worst. Episode.ever. Unbelievably weird . What were the writers smoking? Drinking? When they wrote this one! Are the writers the same as season one? this seasons episodes are increasingly crazy.

I am astounded at how odd this episode was ...awful...I grew up on a farm and had lots of friends who lived on dairy farms,so I can recognize cow s***When I see it.

Okay, now I will read the recap and find out if any of this episode makes any sense at all. This is beyond beanies and suspending disBelief.

Why is Sancar convulsing or is he doing something besides convulsing? I am confused. Is this a plastic or rubber mountain that everyone is jumping off of and some of them get hurt in a way that can be cured by time at a tuberculosis sanitarium, or now a cow-print plush blanket and hot pepper-infused honey?

So many reasons to rip Nare.

She made such a big deal about leaving and then she didn’t do it. Poor Melek must have whiplash.

Niecie, you are so right, Nare untied Akin and turned her back! That was insane.

I don’t understand why she wanted to bury Akin. Couldn’t they have claimed self defense? It’s a crime to conceal a body. Wait till someone finds out.

Nina LOL, “If they don't bury akin deep enough the dogs will eat him. They deserve Better.”

Not bringing Sancar to the hospital? They wouldn’t take him to prison in this state. She could cry all she wants over him there, too, and she’d have time to fix things with Kman.

The cowhide. The writers wanted to torture us along with Sancar. Good grief. They mentioned Grandpa Efe a little too often. Once Sancar survived the fall and they brought him to the shack, you just knew what was coming.

Susanlynn, I’m a city girl, but we city girls can recognize bulls**t when we see it, too. I can’t believe any one would do something like this today. They don’t live in the middle of nowhere. These are the same writers as season one, but I think they went off the rails with this.

Now I have to go recap Hercai, where last night, the girl shot her galan because she can't forgive him. And there’s no one around to help. Another medical disaster. Why me?

Si nos dejan Part 1

Alicia doesn’t feel like she wants her marriage back at the cost of Julieta’s career. Sergio is insistent that Julieta needs to go. The doctor arrives with good news: Miranda will be discharged tomorrow. Sergio sees this good news as a sign that everything is going to go back to being like it was before. Alicia is silent.

Carlota and Martín talk about their wonderful Sofía. Carlota tells him that Sofía said that this was the happiest night of her life because they were all together. She has been talking for weeks about how she and Martín are the perfect couple. They both have to admit that there are things about them both (he is a walking disaster and she an intense neurotic) that makes them being a couple again impossible. That being said, a sad-eyed Carlota asks Martín if he has fallen in love with anyone else since they separated. Martín is beginning to look stressed when he is saved by a call from Diablo.

Fedora is still with Gonzo. She is furious with herself saying what happened between them never should have. Gonzo says it did happen and it was the second time. She explains that what happened is bad not only because he is the son of her bestie but also because their relationship has no future. He admits that he has never had such special feelings for anyone. She says there is no way this could ever end well. He nods.

Yuri chats with Azote and finds out that Cholo is back in solitary because of a fight over a cellphone. He had to keep it since it is the only way he can talk to her. Azote tells her Cholo loves her a whole lot; perhaps too much.

Cholo sits alone in his cell imagining Yuri is there and they are reciting passages of “Great Expectations” together.

The next day, everyone welcomes Yuri back home. Sergio is not there because he had to go to the office. Everyone is excited by planning the surprise party. When Alicia doesn’t join in, Miranda nastily confronts her by asking why she has that look on her face, aren’t they suppose to celebrate. Alicia says of course they are supposed to. Eva takes charge.Emiliano is to get the cake and Alicia make a list of items needed for Yaya.

At work, Sergio finds flowers with a lovey dovey note from Julieta. She cannot take the anticipation of them being alone together!!! That gives Sergio something to think about. She also has sent him a birthday breakfast.

Alicia gives Yaya the instructions about the porcini mushrooms for the tarts and the dark chocolate cake. Citing the a change in Alicia’s attitude about Sergio, Yaya dares to ask if they are back together again. There is no response.


 

DEJAN Part 2

Alicia picks up her phone.

Sofía has just gotten up and tells Martín how wonderful it is that they are all waking up together again. A troubled looking Martín is about to answer her when he gets a phone call. He sends Sofía up to get dressed and answers the call from Alicia. She is calling because she heard he got fired and feels to blame for what happened at the hospital. He assures her it has nothing to do with her. Sergio was going to get rid of him sooner or later because of different views over journalism. He says he and Sergio do agree on two things though: they do not get along well and her. She asks what he is going to do without a job. He says he now will have more time to convince her that he is the best solution to all of the problems in her life. Alicia laughs. Their conversation is interrupted by Carlota looking fo the hairdryer. Laughingly Alicia says he doesn’t seem to be as free as he claims. He starts to explain but she cuts him off saying she hopes he can solve things with Sergio and get back working on the show ASAP. Martín is disappointed.

Fabián tells Sergio that they have to deal with Diablo and Martín. It doesn’t matter if it is Sergio’s birthday. They have a crisis on their hands. Fabián isn’t any old producer. He is THE producer. This is serious. Sergio says it is going to get worse because he told Alicia that he was going to get rid of Julieta. Fabián reminds him this is no fly by night organization. All of these people have contracts. Fabián is in no mood for these people to start taking legal action against the network. Sergio says he really doesn't want to get rid of Julieta. It is just something he said to Alicia in the heat of the moment. He needs Fabián to get him out of this mess.

Yuri sees Julieta at the beauty salon and takes advantage of the situation to confront her. She tells Julieta she is the one who has hurt her family the most and ruined their home. Julieta apologizes because she didn’t want to ruin anything but things aren’t so simple. Yuri reminds her he has a family and she doesn’t care. The family will do all it can to defend itself against her. Julieta warns her not to threaten her because all of this could end up in the gossip columns. Yuri tells her no worries because that is not her style. Anyway, Julieta could fill the gossip columns of the whole country on her own.

Rebeca is arriving at her class talking to Alicia loudly on her phone. Her students hear her and don’t know what is going on. Alicia invites her and Fabián to the birthday celebration. Rebeca is surprised she is in involved with the party at all. Alicia explains it is the kids who are planning the party. Rebeca warns her about traps that nostalgia can create but they will be there. When Rebeca hangs up, it is clear she doesn’t know what class she is teaching.

Tamayo and Diablo join Sergio and Fabián Tamayo has a birthday gift for Sergio. He has convinced Diablo to come back as his producer. Sergio angrily wonders what the price of Diablo’s return was. He guesses correctly: Martín Guerra’s return.

The writers seem to have decided it would be a good idea to ramp up the ridiculous and jump the shark . I am all for magical realism ( love Outlander) but this show is just getting too far out there to even care about these people anymore. San might have been better off.. And safer just enduring a life with nasty Meanie. Nare, his soulmate, returns and his whole life is turned upside down and he nearly dies a couple times.uff If this is true love ......????
 

DEJAN Part 3

Yuri hopes Julieta isn't going to play the victim. Julieta tells her life is not all black and white. When one falls in love, they become blind and reason doesn’t work. She adds that falling in love with the wrong person could happen to Yuri, too. The three years with Sergio haven’t been happy ones but rather lonely ones due to the time he spent with his family. She is the sin; the one kept on the outside. Nobody even thinks about how much she loves her dad because she does. She thinks that Yuri being a woman could understand her situation in a heartbeat. There are no villains in this tale. Everyone is suffering and it is a shame. Yuri has a lot to think about.

Carlota has decided to move back home after one night at Martín’s. Time to get back to work. Martín is sure it will all be fine. They got the locks changed. Sofía is worried because she has heard that criminals always return to the scene of the crime. Martín says that is just an invention of gringo writers. Carlota agrees, assures Sofía that all will be well and thanks Martín for everything. Martín says they are family. Sofía just wishes they all could live together but if they can’t they have to make sure they see each other every weekend. Martín can agree to that.

Mujica and Karina come to pay Facundo, who is back home, a visit. Facundo says the incident was no big deal, he just got grazed. Mujica disagrees and is there for his badge and gun since Facundo has gone beyond the limits with them in his possession. Facundo says he needs them for his protection. Mujica reminds him they were not given to him to cause problems. Karina suggests Facundo think of his son. She then needs to clarify that Martín is her neighbor. Facundo says if Mujica can get him in to visit Cholo, he will return the gun. Mujica grins.

Miranda is screaming at herself and her fish about being replaced in the gaming group. She apologizes for getting Yaya into problems with her mom.Yaya assures her it was the first and last time and all is forgiven. Miranda asks Yaya to get her lme of Gonzo’s shirts because she has to go out and get a gift for her dad.

Martín meets with Mabel thinking that she will be able to offer him a job at her newspaper. That is not the case. They have no openings. Maybe something will open up in the future.

Alicia meets with Carlota. Alicia is worried about her kids. Gonzo was kicked out of the university; Yuri was almost kidnapped; however the one who bothers her the most is Miranda. She is being very aggressive with everyone and on too of it all she fell and hit her head and didn’t tell anyone. With al of those red flags, Carlota is concerned that Miranda could be depressed which is common for kids her age. Alicia adds that Sergio blames her for it all saying that if he were at home, none of this would have happened. Even though Alicia knows his arguments don’t make any sense, she ends up feeling . . . Carlota finishes the sentence “to blame.” Alicia says they is why she allowed them to plan a birthday party for him at the house. Alicia isn’t sire if she is helping the situation or just putting the noose around her own neck. She tells Carlota about Sergio saying he was going to fire Julieta. No, she doesn’t trust him. Carlota thinks the time has come for Alicia to decide if she wants to forgive him and give him the chance he is asking for.

At the same time, Julieta is on Sergio’s lap smooching with him. It is just a little preview of what she has in store for his birthday gift. She has reserved a private room for them at his favorite restaurant where they can get drunk on champagne and get dessert at home. He thinks it sounds magnificent.
 

DEJAN Part 4


Eva and Yuri discuss how they will make it a real surprise party for Sergio. Yuri will go to the hotel and get Sergio telling him she is taking him to go pick up his gift. She will then bring him back to the house where they were all be waiting. Yuri is thankful that her mother allowed the party at the house. Eva quickly dismisses Alicia's help and gives St. Jude and herself full credit. She would do anything for her family.

As Alicia leaves her counseling session, she runs into Fedora who is coming fo her appointment. Alicia has been worried about Fedora because she has left her many messages but Fedora has not answered any. Fedora admits to being very busy. Alicia invites her to the surprise party tonight. She makes it clear that the party isn't something she planned. Fedora will come if she can bring somebody. Alicia says yes!! She wants to know the man causing Fedora to go to therapy. Fedora looks like she is thinking . . . if she only knew . . .

Gonzo tells Lorena about his bad experience on public transportation and they both end up laughing. He ends up inviting her to the party.

Fedora tells Carlota all abut her young lover whois a son of one of her best friends . She just loves him and he is so wonderful in bed but she feels just awful. Carlota thins that eventually her friend is going to find out. Fedora cannot even think of that. They agree that if the relationship has no future, Fedora should cut it off. Fedora says that is what she told herself the first time but the there was a second time. Carlota is asking about a third. Fedora says no but then doesn't know. Fedora asks why does she like this boy so much???

Alicia goes to see Marcela about the scholarship. Quique is not happy to see her. Alicia says she heard from her secretary Mercedes that Marcela never came back. Marcela said she did but the man that works there told her that they had no more scholarships available. Alicia looks concerned but tells them that Luna has the scholarship. All they need is Marcela's signature. Quique says she isn't signing anything. Alicia notices the new computer. Luna says Quique got it for her. Much to Quique's disgust, Marcela signs the scholarship papers.

Miranda as Enigma arrives at the gaming group like nothing happened. She gets online and proves her worth. They all decide to celebrate the win with beer. Miranda knows she shouldn't but joins in anyway.

Yuri shows up at the prison to see Cholo but he refuses to see her. She is no longer his lawyer. Yuri cannot believe it.

Diablo tells Martín he has his job back. When Martín is not too excited about it, Diablo reminds him that and he does need the work and the money. Martín makes a point that he is not isn't Sergio's employee and he can now do what he wants: convince Alicia he is the love of her life.

Alicia looks at herself in the mirror and thinks of Martín's offer of the best love story of her life. She smiles.

Yuri meets with her father and the surprise party plan is underway. She gets him to leave with her to go get his gift from her.

At the same time, Julieta has arrived at the restaurant and the private room is all set up for her and Sergio. She asks that they open a bottle of champagne. She sits and starts to wait.

Alicia hears Miranda come in and goes to check on her. She drunkenly says she was out getting her father a gift and told Yaya.
Alicia cannot believe she is drunk.

Hmmm, Julieta,I think we can identify the bad guys in this situation pretty easily....1) Serjerkio 2) you. See, that wasn't hard . I guess evil people never see themselves as evil Because they project everything they do onto those around them. I am waiting for the stressed seams on one of Jul's dresses go pop.

Alicia has her hands full with those 3 kids .

Alicia demands that Alicia stops doing stupid things and get herself together already. Miranda says she is together but for what purpose? Go back to her usual life? What is her life anyway? Her parents hate each other. She is left talking to a fish because she doesn’t have a friend. Nobody has ever invited her to a party because she was always the strange one. Is that why she should get herself together? Alicia starts to cry and swears she understands her but things haven’t been easy for her either. She is there to help Miranda but she cannot have her seeing her as just another enemy because she isn’t. Mother and daughter hug.

Rebeca and Fabián get ready for the party. Rebeca doesn’t think it is a good idea but Fabián does. Suddenly, Rebeca starts to repeat everything she just said about the party. He tells her. She laughs it off but then tells him about how she had the days of her classes confused earlier in the day. He says it must be stress.

It is party time and guests have arrived. Alicia is so pleased that Gonzo brought a guest even though he has to talk around where he knows Lorena from. Lorena comes to the rescue and says they studied together. Gonzo gets an eye full when Fedora arrives with Samuel. He cannot take his eyes off of her. Alicia introduces Fedora to Gonzo’s novia. He quickly says Lorena isn't his novia but a friend. Eva insists Lorena is his novia, too. There are polite intros all around.

There is a huge sign saying “Happy birthday to the best father in the world” up on the wall. Moisés tells them to all get into position. Yuri and Sergio are almost there.

Sergio wonders why they are at the house. Yuri says it is only to pick up the gift. He checks his watch. She says it will be quick.

Julieta is still waiting and still drinking champagne. She thinks Sergio must be on his way.

Sergio gets the big “surprise” and doesn't know what to say. A somber Alicia wishes him a happy birthday and he gives her a hug. He suddenly looks hopeful but her serious demeanor does not change.

During the party, Sergio gets away and finally calls Julieta to tell her about the surprise party his kids threw for him. He cannot just cut out. There are friends there, too. He is sorry but he will not be able to make it. He asks if she forgives him and there is no answer.

The waiter asks if Julieta would like more champagne. She says that won’t be necessary because her guest isn’t coming. She is going to have to see him at his home.

“That being said, a sad-eyed Carlota asks Martín if he has fallen in love with anyone else” captured that scene so sensitively Jarifa. One could easily ache for her. “Sergio sees this good news as a sign that everything is going to go back to being like it was before. Alicia is silent” was similarly perfect. The way you interpret is superb.

I wonder when and how Alicia will learn Carlota is Martin’s ex. Hopefully this occurs before she brings up Martin (in any context!)…

Carlota stayed at Martin’s one night? Even Gonzalo got to stay at Lorena’s longer! Yes Susanlynn, the locks being changed won’t be of much help if Carlota isn’t careful.

“Eva quickly dismisses Alicia's help and gives St. Jude and herself full credit”. OMG, eye roll to heaven.

When Julieta and Yuri were speaking, it seemed to me that Yuri’s angry facial expression toned down a bit or did I imagine that? Julieta’s arguments were self-serving and selfish and surely would not appeal to any caring child of a mother being cheated on. I’m sure it wasn’t pity but did wonder if she were feeling guilty about Moises because of Cholo. I’ve thought all along Moises has been cheating on her, but I may be off base. Regardless, I still don’t like him ☹

I am appalled at how Miranda treats Alicia, reducing her to tears more than once. I realize teenagers need to have secrets but she wants Alicia to have no interest in what she is doing and who she is with. Is Miranda depressed? I’m not a psychologist and while that may be partially true, she is head-strong, entitled and dismissive. I’m glad she returned to the gaming but the drinking has to stop. Children can be cruel and Miranda has been targeted by bullies. I think she has to shoulder a bit of blame for her lack of friends. Also, she has to be gentler, kinder and more understanding to her mother. She treats Eva far better.

I still feel Martin is a bit too nonchalant in certain situations. Getting fired would cause me a bit of consternation, yet he remained cool as a cucumber, threatening to have more time to pursue Alicia! Credit to Diablo for saving his skin.

Please let Rebeca’s momentary memory lapses be a result of stress. Of course, I don’t believe that for a second and am really worried.

Isn’t Gonzalo a bit old to be confusing real feelings for lust? And as for Fedora, she is going to have a lot of explaining to do (as Ricky Ricardo used to say) 😊

I mention “porcini mushrooms” only as they are one of my favorites. Sigh.

No, Valentina, says Helena, I've worked really hard my whole life having to put up with ungrateful people in my fashion house. Do me a favor and get out of here. NOW NORA! I wasn't thinking about coming back anyway sister, Nora tells her. You don't know how valuable I am. You just lost me. Valentina stops Nora at the door and says she can't go like that. Nora says, Helena and I never got along and I don't need to endure her rudeness, her orders, or anything. Do you realize that Yolanda Pratas is Helena's rival?, Val asks. And? Tell me something I don't know. Of course I know it, says Nora. You know that woman stole my designs?, asks Val. That she accused me of being a thief? She almost destroyed me and you're going to go work with her? I did it because you left me no other option, says Nora. You never believed in me. I never had your support in my dream to be a model and neither you, nor Helena, nor inyone in this place believed in my talent. That's why I had to look for opportunities somewhere else. As always, you're not seeing reality, says Val. I thought you had a little more loyalty. I have the loyalty that you had for me, Nora responds. I'm only following my dreams the same as you, the same as everyone. With Yolanda I'll surely have an office and I won't have to be there all the time. Only when Yolanda needs me or when I have training. And any day I want, I could have a shop like Helena's. Do you realize what you're saying?, what's happening?, what you're turning into?, asks Val. If I ask my papa he'll buy it for me, Nora says. Well, I'm late, the chauffeur is coming for me. Come with me. I'm having dinner with aunt Adelaida. I can't Val says, we're really busy getting ready for fashion week. Fashion week in Madrid?, Nora asks. They invited Helena? Are you going too? Why didn't Yolanda tell me anything? Are you telling me that you're poor and you're going to Madrid before me? I'm rich. You're not going to Europe because then I have to go. I'm better than you. I can ask my father and he'll buy me the flight.

Guillermo calls Doctora Rosamaria and invites her to the foundation dinner. She'll have to arrange something with her colleagues unless he wants her there in her white coat. White coat or formal dress you'll look exceptional, he says.

Val apologizes to Helena for Nora's behavior. Helena says she gave her sister an opportunity which Nora didn't value. She says she'll never judge Val for what her sister does. She knows what it's like to have a complicated family.

Adelaida tells Nora about Guillermo's plan to present her at the foundation dinner. Nora says it feels like she's living a life like in the movies. She couldn't have planned it better. Planned?, asks Adelaida. Nora answers, I mean, I coudn't have dreamt it better. Did you say you accepted a job at Yolandas or did you sign a contract?, Adelaida asks. I didn't sign a contract yet, but Beba said she'd let me know. Adelaida worries that Yolanda will be a bad influence on Nora. Why do you hate her so much, tia? I don't hate her, Adelaida says, Yolanda doesn't deserve even that.

 

TU AMOR ep 50 part 2

Helena sees Valentina at her planning table and asks if she's thought of something else. What do you think if we let out the back a little more?, Val asks. Or even go strapless. Because this material has a wonderful quality. Here's a piece of some lace similar to what we ordered and with the appliqués even more so. But It's not what I had in mind, Helena says. I know, but by modifying the design, the lace will go into the background. We'll change the placement and the dress will stand out with the appliqués. Yes, Helena says, I see it. The dress will be incredible. She hugs Valentina gratefully.

Patricia loves Enrique's bedroom and tells him he should invite her more often. He says she doesn't need an invitation. Everything he has is hers. She laughs and says, Don't think I'm going to say the same thing. Salud Patricia, he says, and holds up his champagne glass. Salud, for me, she says, always for me.

Rosamaria is waiting at the foundation dinner when Guillermo and his family arrive. He thanks her for coming. Adelaida is introduced as the president of the foundation. She takes the stage to say a few words. Later Guillermo presents his daughter Nora to enthusiastic applause. Starting today she'll be a member of the board of directors. Nora steps to the mic and says, "Hi, eh, well, I don't know a lot about these things but I promise I'm going to learn so I don't disappoint my papa. Thanks papi." Nora then smiles and claps for herself.

Yolanda shows up in what looks like a vampire's wedding gown. She congratulates Guillermo on his beautiful daughter. She then walks over to the table where Consuelo, Adelaida, and mother superior were, until now, talking and having a great time. Consuelo, what are you doing here?, Yolanda asks. Connie doesn't answer. She gets up and quietly leaves. Valentina catches up to her to ask if she is OK. Did Yolanda say something to you? No, Connie assures her, I'm only going to the dressing room.

Alone in the dressing room, Connie tries to calm herself through deep breathing. Yolanda walks up behind her, appearing in the mirror like an apparition from some horror movie. Did you think you could live hidden from me your whole life?, Yolanda asks, well fate finds us again dear. Yes, Connie says, and only fate will decide if this unpleasant encounter will be for good or for bad. There was a time when I was scared. But now I feel pity. You're the same miserable person I knew. I don't know how your face doesn't fall off with shame. Speaking of treason, you, who stole our designs, accused us of anything and you keep doing it. To later display them as yours. Yolanda responds, Life belongs to whoever takes it and there are winners and losers. Well, I don't think I was a loser, says Connie, because as I remember it, the love of your life couldn't stand you and fell in love with me. Ah, mediocre Andres, Yolanda replies, he was always satisfied with anything. Yes, thats why he was with you, says Connie. But later he raised his standards and fell in love with me. Andres preferred me, and that still hurts you. We got married and we had a beautiful family which you never had and never will. Yes, yes, yes, I know, says Yolanda, Hector, Leonardo, Camila, Mina. You're surprised that I know everything about you right? I've followed your steps very closely. I know everything about you. Absolutely everything. Connie answers, You could never outdo me. It was obvious. You always wanted to be me. But talent is something you're born with Yolanda, although you have been able to steal it very well. Look, the fear left me a long time ago, so, since you know everything, well good, whenever you want come visit me. I'll be waiting because to defend my family I'm capable of anything, you understand me?, of anything. You know what?, Yolanda responds, I don't forgive or forget. And you are going to pay me. I'm going to hit you where it hurts you the most. By the way, I never thanked you for getting rid of that little of a thing Andres. You imagine that he would have stayed by my side? I'd be a mediocre like you. You already are, says Connie, and you'll never stop being one. And your supposed success built on stolen designs is insignificant beside my happiness with Andres. And you really think we're so different, you and I?, Yolanda asks. According to you, I steal my designs, which you can't verify. But you do steal men and end relationships. That's why you ended up poor, without a future, and living in a horrible neighborhood together with your little naca (low rent) granddaughter. SHUT UP!, Connie shouts, and takes a swing at Yolanda. She misses and Yolanda grabs her by the wrist. Don't you dare touch me, says Yolanda. The day that you or one of your kids dares to touch me, they won't see the light of day again. Yolanda finally leaves and Consuelo recalls her threats as she walks home.

Hector comes home and catches his mother crying. She tries to convince him they're tears of happiness from seeing that Mina and Camila fell asleep together on the couch waiting for her but he knows something happened. They wake up and everyone enjoys a group hug.

When Valentina gets back from the celebration, Claudio tells her he can't go on without her. They make up and agree to a civil wedding when she gets back from Madrid. Later, they plan to have another wedding in the church.

 

TU AMOR ep 50 part 4

Guillermo realizes that Nora has had too much to drink and suggests she go home with the driver. He takes Rosamaria home in his car. She says she would invite him in but she has to get up early. He does too and says he'll call her later. They air kiss.

Yolanda is in a hotel room with Leonardo. He's getting dressed after a shower. He asks Yolanda if she knows who Helena's star Model is going to be. Who?, she asks. Camila. That girl with the scar? That girl with the scar is my sister, says Leonardo. You have to call things by their names dear, Yolanda tells him.

Guillermo and Adelaida are at the usual breakfast table outside. He doesn't like the fact that Nora is still asleep. He asks Meticha the maid to wake her and have her come down. What's wrong with that girl?, Guillermo asks Adelaida.

Yolanda and Beba are at the office. And she tried to slap me, can you believe it?, Yolanda tells her. Beba is shocked. That seamstress dared to strike you? It's not important, says Yolanda, the machinery of my vengeance is already running. Beba brings Yolanda a mimosa and shows her the group picture from last night. Don't you think they'll recognize the lace that you stole?, Beba asks. I did it on purpose, says Yolanda. I want them to know the terrain they're treading on. Chin-chin (cheers) says Beba, and raises her glass for a toast. I say Salud, Yolanda corrects her.

Buenas dias, says Nora as she pops into Guillermo's office. Buenos tardes, he corrects her. Her office is ready, he says. What do I have to do?, she asks. First, get up early. The owner of a business has to arrive before all the employees. But, you're the owner, she says. You are too, he replies, and that means responsibility, work, loyalty, and respect for your work and that of others. You need to learn to set an example. Tomorrow I want you in the office first thing in the morning. That means six o'clock. If you have something pending take care of it today. You're not mad at me?, she asks. No, but you need to know that family and business are two different things. So when we talk at work, this will be my tone. Is that clear?

At Helena's office, Valentina says that Yolanda was at the dinner last night. Patricia probably invited her. She was wearing a dress with the same lace that was lost at customs. What?, says Helena, Do you have any pictures? Val checks the internet. Here's one, Val says, and shows it to Helena. They check the catalog and the lace is the same. How likely is it that she would order the exact same lace as me?, Helena asks.

Susanlynn, yes, as Jarifa noted in the last part of her recap, Julieta announced that her guest wasn't coming so she has going to him. At home!

Good question about Alicia finding out that Martín is Carlota’s ex. I agree it needs to happen sooner rather than later.
Carlota’s apartment with all of the glass on the hall wall doesn't offer much security even if you have changed the locks. Eva will do anything to diminish Alicia. Your are right about Yuri softening when talking with Julieta. I took it as her reaction to falling in love with the “wrong”person. I couldn’t believe how Miranda attacked Alicia about her non-reaction to the surprise party and Alicia TOOK it. She should have let her have it then and there and shut them all up including her mother. Now, with Miranda admitting how miserable she is and into alcohol, Alicia should get her counseling ASAP.As for Martín, it was quite interesting that he didn’t get a job with that newspaper as he thought he would. Diablo did save his skin. I sure hope that Rebeca’s lapses are stress but it looks like some kind of dementia on the horizon. I hate all of these illnesses always incorporated. One would think Gonzo would know the difference but he seems sort of inexperienced. Hearing how good Fedora thought Gonzo was in bed was vomitable. I am a fan of all mushrooms.I love porcini, too. Well, the next episode promises to be explosive.If Julieta does appear, it will be the nail in the coffin of Alicia and Sergio’s marriage.

Susanlynn, Eva will definitely have a fit if Julieta appears and I cannot wait. .

While that was above unsettling “You have to call things by their names dear, Yolanda tells him” chilled me to the bone. Her being with Leo is loathsome, what could possibly be next? I shudder at the thought.

If Yolanda has any redeeming qualities (doubtful) at least she works hard. Stealing and thieving is hard work from what I understand. And in Noraworld, work apparently means showing up once in a while, doing a princess parade wave and call then call it a day. Guillermo is already cracking the whip. Good.

In terms of Yolanda versus Nora “Yolanda as a bad influence on Nora? How could we tell the difference?” was excellent SpanProf!! Yep, Nora turned her back on everyone with nary a thought as to how Yolanda hurt either Valentina or Helena.

PLEASE don’t tell me Guillermo likes Rosie?? Enrique is a fool.

I can’t wait for them to see the video of Beba taking the lace from customs.

I'm not condoning Miranda's attitude at all, but how long has she been bullied and depressed. There are many to blame for her disrespect and dismissiveness; and being that she is well into her teens, chances of changing her behavior are slim to none.

I'm sure it wasn't supposed to be funny, but I had to laugh everytime Sancar screamed in so-called pain and jerked his body. I still thought it was disgusting and ridiculous.

As for the Sancar/Miran question, I think Miran, too, because of the premeditation.

Does anyone think Sancar deserves forgiveness yet? Do you think Nare will get angry because Sancar shot Kman and brought Akin to the mountain?

Dondi , someone here at caray wrote that San was very young and the product of his culture when he so cruelly rejected and refused to believe Nare on their wedding night when she told him that Akin raped her . He also refused to believe that Melek was his child at first and treated her and Nare badly. However, he has become a loving, protective, and devoted father and has almost died trying to protect Nare. I think he has earned forgiveness . Add to that Melek's love for her father and her fervent wish that the three of them become a happy family. Nare has been acting irrationally throughout this show. She just never seemed to grasp how dangerous Akin was to her and Melek. Nare has made one bad decision after another and has put herself and Melek in danger . She also seems to think that she is smarter and has a higher moral code thsn anyone else. Her attitude annoys me.

I think Nare will blame San for taking Akin to the mountain instead of to the police and lying to her. My hub always liked to say " A tiger never changes its stripes. ". Nare is locked into a mindset that won't allow her to see evil folks for what they are or to forgive San and move forward. It seems she gives everyone a break except San. I am afraid these soulmates are doomed .I don't see them ever making Melek's wish of a happy family cone true. It is tragic. I think of that saying " Do you want to be happy or do you want to be right?" I would choose happy everytime . Nare seems to prefer being right . She could forgive San and give Melek the happy family she so desires. Nare throws away happiness again and again . Maybe she doesn't think she deserves to be happy and is punishing herself , but she is also punishing Melek and San .

His character is disappointing because he was the only one of Alicia’s three kids who sort of respected her but not enough to keep his pants on with one of her besties.

I completely agree that Miranda is on the edge. Does she ever think about her future? I don't recall her ever talking about a future career; everything is about the game and the g about the bullying she endures in school. Why are the Mean Girls of cliche always pretty? Does that even make logical sense?

As for Miranda being secretive, that is a normal teen trait as they work at establishing boundaries. Not talking about the accident, though, is related to her drinking which definitely would set off all the adults in the house.

Which leads to my latest rant about SerJerk's latest attack on Alicia's competence as a mother. When does he ever interact with his children other than the criticism he dishes out at the dining table? This is a classic case of narcissistic projection combined with gaslighting. Thirty years of this has made Alicia too unsure of herself to take the action we know she needs to.

Yuri should definitely end the engagement. I don't think Moises is a bad guy, but he is not right for her.

Gonzalo is now in multiple kinds of hot water. He is already on SerJerk's shit list and doesn't need to get on Alicia's, especially since of her children he is the only one who supports her against his father's infidelity and disrespect. I still don't get why Yuri and Miranda took his side.

Contrary to a previous opinion I don't see Gonzalo as his father's son. I don't think he and Fedora would have boinked if they had been sober. He was a fool for telling his friend because that will have consequences. Maybe that is how Alicia will find out.

Ditto to everything Susanlynn wrote on Sunday at 4:33!! So definitely yes, to the first question. And she might be angry about Kman and Akin, but since she already knows that Sancar shot Kman and has a plan to get San off that hook…and she got rid of Akin’s body, she’ll probably not dwell on those for too long.

I just want to add that now that that I have some knowledge about how "backwards" and strict some cultures can be, I understand (though don’t agree with) why Sancar rejected Nare at the beginning—it was what he was taught. I felt so bad for Nare, but the decision to jump from the cliff was totally hers. I just wonder how Sancar would have reacted if Nare hadn’t waited until he rejected her (after their wedding night) to tell him that Akin had raped her. Maybe if she had told San about the rape before they got married, Sancar wouldn’t have reacted so cruelly.

I’ve seen enough dizi to know why Sancar acted like that on the wedding night. I didn’t agree either, but I tried to explain his reasons for those who might not understand.

Susanlynn mentioned in her post about being “locked into a mindset” and so people are locked into the culture. It’s their whole world. Hard to break free. Even if they do, vestiges remain. My family still retains some of the cultural traditions of my immigrant grandparents.

Dondi , I have taught people from many different cultures, and some men have trouble taking directions and advice from a woman. Some cultures are deferential and protective of me as a female teacher and others were confrontational and dismissive. It's an interesting experience. I learned a lot about how people from other cultures think and live. Fascinating.

My maternal grandparents immigrated here , and our family also held onto the traditions and native language, but they didn't teach the grandchildren ( me, my sister, and my cousins ) their native language.
